Kim Hines: Rented the Limo Party Bus this past weekend for a wedding with 13 people. It was very roomy. Loved the look and layout of the inside. It had a dance pole, places for your cups and nice leather seats. It was very clean. You can play your own music once connected, and the sound was great. The driver was professional and on time. Definitely would rent again from Maxi, and would recommend. I also, had many questions before rental, and the customer service was great, replies back were quick by email.

It was supposed to be skip the counter (it wasn't had to wait in a long line) tried to up sale me I said no I already paid then told me I needed a toll tag for 30 bucks I said fine then added all the other stuff I had said no to I looked at him and said good try buddy take them off if I hadn't been paying attention would have been charged hundreds more. So we walk to go get our car no clue which one is ours do we just keep hitting the button they are all white till one beeps it was not the size of car we were supposed to get but at this point we said screw it we were not waiting in line again. Then we get out finally as the exit is broken yeahhhh, and the car is a piece of junk literally makes terrible noise just what we needed to attend my husband's father's funeral a horrible loud piece of junk car but we did not have time or the mental bandwidth to deal with it. We just were embarrassed. Plus we didn't realize until we had passes a couple tolls we were supposed to pull open the toll thing as I have never seen anything like that not one person was in the garage to go over the car with us for damage or explain anything. Never ever ever use this company!!!!

Marsha Mack: This is a horrible business, please avoid.Upon pickup, there were a handful of people in line but at least 20 min wait. Lack of communication between those in the garage and general disorganization was at play.We eventually got the car, it was fine. However, when I returned it I left my new phone in the cabin. I located it remotely and set the alarm off so it could be found. It was found and never returned - someone in the garage stole my phone.Outrageous, unacceptable, dishonest. Never again.

Fabrice DEBBASCH: I had reserved a certain type of car with a GPS. Upon arrival, I was told the model I had reserved was not available and the only option I had if I wanted a GPS was to rent a larger, more expensive car, with a GPS already included in the car. I asked for a demo. of the GPS and the person delivering the car to me said the GPS was not working at the moment because of signal acquisition problems at the airport, but that everything would be fine out of the airport. End result: the GPS never worked and I had to buy one form Best Buy. When I returned the car, a Sixt representative checked and confirmed the GPS was not working. I asked for a compensation and I never got it, I was charged the full price.My conclusion: avoid Sixt at all costs, at least at Logan Airport.

Aaron Rothrock: The rep told me that I would run into a lot of tolls on my way up to Woburn, MA from the Boston airport. So he sold me a toll transponder after I turned down the unlimited toll package. He stated that I would hit a toll as soon as I left the airport. I went through exactly zero tolls during my week of the car rental. That is money that I am not getting back. Not sure if the rep got a spiff on the upcharge but it was not good customer service. The car smelled like someone had smoked in it. It said it needed service and an oil change as soon as I turned it on. I would not recommend Sixt to anyone based on this rental!

Dollar Rent A Car: what do users think?
Gary blackman: It was awful!!! we were in line for over one hour 20 minutes then they directed us to go out in the garage to receive our rental car. It was cold and we had to wait another 40 minutes in line to actually get the car. Of course by now it put us in bumper-to-bumper rush-hour traffic. Just plain terrible.
Celine Arpornsuksant: There was only 1 employee at the desk and he was very slow. There were only 7 people in front of me when I arrived and it took 45 minutes to even get to the front of the line. After speaking to the employee, I went to get my rental car, only to find out there were were ZERO cars available. I had to wait over an hour to even get a car after getting to the desk. Overall, it took me over 2 hours since I landed before I could even receive a rental car. I would NEVER choose Dollar again. The other desks like Hertz or Enterprise had almost no line because the desk attendants were much faster and efficient, and there were multiple people helping customers. I will go with a different car company next time.

S: Do not rent here. Counter is always shut down forcing you to go to the Thrifty counter which only ever has 1 employee with a 45 minute line of customers waiting. Every. Single. Time. Meanwhile the Enterprise counter is fully staffed with 4-5 employees and they have no line. Never again. Also, extremely anti-consumer and predatory toll policy. Don’t do it. Hertz/Dollar/Thrifty may be slightly cheaper, but they will make you as the customer pay dearly with obscene amounts of wasted time.
Bopha: No staff at the Dollar counter, had to wait in slow line at the Thrifty counter with one worker. Ten ppl ahead of us in line and it took an hour to finally check in. One staff wearing a Hertz uniform assisted us in getting a car. Taking other reviewers’ advice and going to keep all receipts.

Mart Zee: This was the worst experience I ever had. Avoid this company. I had a flat tire. In the morning I left my hotel, came to the car and the rear tire was flat. I called their support. Waited almost an hour on the phone before someone picked up. Then it took them an hour to figure out what to do. They said that they didn't have a car replacement available and that they need to tow it back to Logan airport (Boston, MA). They didn't provide me with a replacement. The towing company took me to Boston and left me stranded in Dollar's (Hertz) distribution center. I was standing there in the middle of the parking lot thinking what to do next. No one cared. Call a taxi? Walk? I begged one of the employees to take me to the airport where I rented a new car from Enterprise. And on top of this mismanagement Dollar has the audacity to tell me that they would charge me for the tire and towing because I didn't have insurance (which is not true, I purchased the insurance and I have a proof). Avoid them! Do not touch them with a 10 ft long pole!!!

pls stop: Do not rent from Hertz , they will come back and charge you fuel fees. You will have to jump hurdles to get your money back. Glad I made a video of the return and the gas tank return in full. They came back 9 days later and put a fuel charge of $31 dollars on my husband credit card. When you try to talk to a live person it is impossible. They have a recording to send a copy of your reciept and etc to prove you purchase gas for the vehicle. I am looking for an attorney to look into this bad practice. I am pretty sure they have been getting away with this. But not with me. So be careful when you are dealing with Hertz, especailly at the Boston Airport location. Document everything and read the fine print on your reciept.
Jane Lu: Tried to rent a Tesla. It was booked with an Apple Card. Learned later that was a big mistake and others online have warned against using an Apple card with Hertz. Short version, took about two hours to get the car off the lot.Waited in line for half an hour to be told they couldn’t process the reservation. (Was made to feel like this was our fault? We’d already paid and had been getting confirmation emails from Hertz for weeks.) Spent another 15 min on the phone with their customer service to try to sort it out using a Visa card (5 tries for them to get the card # right).Then another 30 min waiting in line. The service at the desk was slow. Combined with them being understaffed, it explains why the not very long line took so long to get through.We finally got to the lot. We were told they’d bring the car to us. Then told to go to spot ###. We got the car but then we couldn’t leave because the gate person said it was the wrong car!! Back to the kiosk where the staff said it’s the right car, but the upstairs desk person had messed up the reservation. She fixed it and we were finally able to leave.Now waiting to see if they actually refund the original payment, since we’ve paid twice now.The good parts: one of the people working the kiosk was competent. A random nice employee (who was on break, not even working) also helped us out.Update:Thanks to the owner responding. We’ve completed the rental so I don’t think there’s a need for a private convo.We liked the Tesla so we might have to reluctantly give Hertz another shot. The trick might be signing up for their gold membership (which is free?). We saw while we were waiting in line that the members were treated a lot better.
Sarah Cromwell: My boyfriend and I are a younger couple and this was our first time renting a car. We used the Hertz app and therefore followed the instructions on our app to get our rental. The instructions said to “go to zone three” when we got to zone three there were no cars there. The man working the booth (3pm May 2nd) was very rude to us. We asked what we should do if there were no cars in zone three and he rudely says “Did you look at this board? No I know you didn’t because I watched you two walk right passed it. Pay attention to your surroundings this board is important.” The board then said exactly what the app did and told us to go to zone three. This man made this experience very unpleasant. We are young and could have rented from Hertz for years but instead we had a bad experience and I would not recommend Hertz. Just a friendly reminder that kindness and compassion go a long way.
Kanha Mupmup: The reason why I gave it a 5⭐️ is because an employee who seen us drop off our rental at Boston Logan Airport (HERTZ) with small children, he ask if we needed a ride to our terminal. We didn't get what he meant and why he ask us that. He clearly stated that HERTZ rental customers traveling with small children, and or elderly families. They would drop the customers off at there terminals. We thought he was kidding. But he said after COVID-19 this is for there customers appreciation. We were truly blessed that he came up and ask us, then proceed to drop us. Not everyone is like him. Bless his heart. I can't read his writings, I apologize but this is him.

Jeffrey Adams PLLC: Dead 12v battery on a tesla less than 24 hours into my rental. 4 hours in the phone and being told they would charge me $61+$32 surcharge for not having road side plan. Over 45 min after request, no contact from any service company. Figured out how to open the frunk and Jump Start the car myself. Canceled service call. Just got a bill for $154 additional.Not my fault the 12v battery died. Over 54% of charge left on travel battery once I was able to get back into the car. Only drove the car 107 miles.Absolutely no help for Hertz in solving the issue. Wasted my only rest day of a 1.5 day vacation.

Xiangquan Xiao: I asked to add LIS at the counter, while it turned out as LDW. I don't need it at all because my credit card carries primary rental car insurance. I noticed this mistake when I arrived hotel, then raised the issue to Hertz customer service right away. However, there was no way to fix. I also filed complaint after the rental, which got no result either. The lessons are:1. Don't assume that the counter staffs are professional enough (I even doubt that they do this intentionally).2. Always double check your invoice at the counter. I know it is long, but you will not have a second chance.
Brittany Counts: They gave my husband and I a recalled and broken car seat for our 9 month old and put his life at risk. We had to go through 3 different car seats that we thought worked. They are going to have a major lawsuit if they don’t get rid of their recalled car seats. They charge us $600 but put our sons life at risk. I’ll never be using Hertz again. And I’ll be contacting corporate. Also, they said we didn’t fill the tank. Which we did. They drove us in the car to our airport terminal. No kidding the gas would go down. Overall we were treated pretty unfairly.

Sherri Yoder: Wonderful experience overall. I reserved the managers special and got a Tesla! I was so excited, having never driven one . It didn't take long to figure it out, Hertz even has a tutorial on their website. If you go to a supercharger, it doesn't take long to charge up.The reservation desk was helpful as our flight was delayed, so i called the local desk. I also made changes and added an extra day which brought my rental fee down. Easy check-in as a Gold member. My name was on the board and I was instructed to go straight to the cars to pick one.Their location, while off-site, is nearby and shuttles run frequently. We waited no more than 5 minutes for one.Drop off is so easy. Drive up area signage is easy, and you just leave the keys in the car. There is an attendant there if you have questions.This was by far the best rental car experience I've had.

Christopher: Dollar rental is badly understaffed. It took an hour and a half to get through the line to finally get a car. This is the second time in the past year I encountered this delay with them. I did rent from Sixt this last year. They're more money but no delay. Think carefully if you have the time to wait. The Dollar staff was very nice, the car was a great value and clean, but the wait in line and then the wait for the car was very long. I I had a scheduled meeting to attend after arriving I would have missed it.
