Broadway Jiu-Jitsu and Fitness: what do users think?
戴学进: Came by to train judo during a visit to Boston. The coaches were great, and I had a good training experience overall as someone who has had bjj and judo experience. There were a lot of good randori rounds, and I did not feel like punches were pulled for newcomers/visitors. However, I would say that it is not the most beginner-friendly setting, as the mats are rather hard and the class format is very loose, with more emphasis on individuals working their own techniques independently.
Marlon: Great instructors and classmates
Ben Smrtic: Very nice place filled with friendly people
Brandon Ceperley: Great high level facility, great environment
Moaz Mahmood: The guys are mad chill and welcoming. Dima took answered all my questions over phone and helped me have a smooth experience in class. Afterwards, since I was a visiting blue belt , he even went with me to the nearest subway station and swiped his metro card to let me in. The class itself was also great, got smashed by the white belts there - super technical guys. 10/10 would recommend
John Abney: I was looking for a gym to train at in Boston for a few days, and was immediately welcomed here. Great, friendly group of instructors and students, and great competition. All around a fantastic experience.
Shane Melisi: Coming from another gym to train BJJ here. Gym is very professional and attentive to each student. Would highly recommend this gym to anyone in the Boston area!
Brian Saunders: I drop in here whenever I'm in town for work. They're always extremely welcoming, and the jiu jitsu is high level. Go get some!
Esperando a graduação OSS!
Cem Gultekin: I was in town for the weekend and Broadway BJJ was super accommodating for an out-of-towner to get a class in. Level education and support is top notch and staff is extremely helpful/flexible. If you’re looking for a serious BJJ gym in Boston this it it.
Malakhai Pearson: 10/10, this place is super solid. The training sessions are competitive, JC and the other profs are incredibly knowledgable. If you are looking to learn self defense or, improve your BJJ, then I would highly recommend this place.
Devon Thormodsgaard: Dropped in for some rolls and felt lucky to find this Dojo. I’m an old white belt & they were very welcoming to me. Luckily Thursday was open mat and they had about 60 folks getting after it. Mats we’re clean and everyone I trained with and spoke to was extremely respectful. Can’t wait to come back and recommend to all.
Gabriel Cuchacovich: Great coaches, very approachable and friendly
Ron Tassoni: Instructors were super knowledgeable and professional. Talent pool was deep so there was plenty of competition at every level. Dima at the front desk was really helpful when I went there for the first time.
Benjamin Skeer: Horrible coach/owner, before class, high pressure sales to switch membership from free trial before the class. During the class, I broke the bone broke in my knee. As I was hopping on one foot, towards the door to leave, the coach (Demetri, Russian Guy) blocked my way, and said "hurry up, the cleaners are coming" and told me to put my shoe on my bad foot. I told him I was okay, this continued for 3 minutes standing on one leg, I finally got past him, and as I was hobbling up the stairs he called after me and continued to try to sell to me.The other critical reviews about unprofessionalism, and rudeness is spot on. The owner responds to these online comments with fake niceness. All he cares about is selling you a membership.
Faris Katkhuda: Stopped by the Saturday All-level judo class. They separated the class by experience level, which was great for a beginner like me. The instructors were very welcoming, patient, and found a way to give everyone some personal attention. Would highly recommend!
Sam Guinan-Nyhart: Dropped in for a training session while I was in town, excellent all around and very welcoming!
Liam Donovan: Welcoming gym that gets right to teaching. They were flexible and understanding when I had to cancel my membership.
Brandon Knowlden: I was in Boston for work and dropped in for a morning session. They welcomed me with open arms and as a purple belt, it was a challenging class as the team really knows their stuff. Great instruction, no egos and a spotless facility. Highly recommend!
Aaron Eicoff: Big martial arts gym. Many nice people. Athletic training environment.
Daniel Medalie: I am a BJJ black belt from Cleveland, Ohio and was visiting Boston for a conference. I dropped in to roll and couldn't be more happy. The whole gym was welcoming. They lent me a gi and introduced me to the whole class. We had some great instruction and rolling and the level of Bjj I experienced was top notch. I highly recommend this gym and will definitely add it to my must visit list the next time I am in Boston!

Jack Amico: Much bigger place than I expected. Good deals too

Ranging from new students to professional fighters, the atmosphere at Hard Knocks is unbeatable. The trainers are as professional as it comes. I promise you will not find a better striking gym in New England.
jalen privott: Owner whoever picks up the phone is disrespectful and extremely unprofessional I recommend the place but the owner is incredibly disrespectful and has no sense of customer service. I would recommend the instructors and trainers but the owner is incredibly disrespectful.
barry o connor: Great gym!! Friendly atmosphere with very knowledgeable trainers
Troy Terrell: Owner bill is unprofessional, rude, trashy!)
John Flaherty: I’ve been training here for about 2 years now and it is the best decision I’ve made. I’ve made so many new friends, lost 80 pounds and continue to learn everyday. This gym has so much to offer!
Thomas Evans: This gym has actively produced World Champion kickboxers, cornered and guided UFC fighters as well as educates and safely trains our youth and adult population in a way that is educational, FUN, traditional and most importantly effective. Muay Thai is a effective self-defense tool that will not only keep you safe but most importantly get you fit and feeling in the best shape of your life.I am a martial arts school owner and I travel 1 hour and 30 minutes to be able to train and share knoweledge with these wonderful people
Dustin Barcus: I have been training here 3 to 5 times a week for nearly 3 years now. Excellent real Muay Thai instruction. Bill the gym owner has been part of the Muay Thai scene in New England since the early 90's, and Jake who runs most of the classes is an absolute encyclopedia of Muay Thai knowledge and fight IQ, and has the ability to teach to prove it.The new location on 63 Sprague Street in Hyde Park is a total game changer, it has much more space for more equipment, more students, more everything. There is even a full 22 foot boxing ring, very nice.Even if you have NO interest in becoming a fighter or fighting, you will have a blast, get in an excellent FUN workout, and be welcomed with open arms. Learn a new skill, get in shape, make some great friends. Highly recommended.
Stephen thechamp: If you are looking to get back in shape! Then I recommend This gym👊🏾 The atmosphere is so warm welcoming
Alex Brown: Been training at Hardknocks for 3 years now and I've watched things go from Good to better! Just moved in to a new and larger space that's still in the city, and accessible by MBTA if you don't/can't drive. The training is great, if it wasn't I wouldn't have been here for 3 years. Everyone from the members to the trainers are cool and all are welcome, no bad vibes! They really go out of there way to help you out with your goals, weather it's to live a healthier lifestyle, build some confidence, or become a fighter, Hardknocks will give you it's best. It's also cool that now the gym is located right near Sky Zone, a rock climbing gym, and gymnastics gym.And its Affordable!
Justin Tang: I was in Boston for 6 months due to work, and having tried Muay Thai in the past, decided to pick up again. Training at Hard Knocks was definitely one of the highlights of my stay in Boston. Jake and Bill are great instructors. They help you out with fundamentals and are patient and humble while pushing you to continually improve. Training with the other members has helped as well. Would highly recommend!
Peter Charette: Great gym with a mix of different levels of muay thai. Whether you are a beginner or a fighter in training, the members of the gym are happy to help you. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a way to get in shape while learning a skill.
John Pallotta: Good gym with a mix of a lot good people. Everything from total beginners ( like my self ) to serious contending fighters. There is a lot of knowledge, Talent, and comradery at Hard Knocks. At the very least its a great place to get into shape and have some fun along the way
Yuri Tarasula: Nice clean gym,all sorts of bags and equipmentopen most of the time
Hollie Henrichs: Very knowledgable and very experienced trainers/teachers. Best Muay Thai gym in New England.

Sityodtong Muay Thai Academy: what do users think?
Melina Ch: I cannot say enough things about the professionalism and just concentrated experience and knowledge that is collected in one place. I have been going here for almost 6 months when the COVID restrictions and shut downs would allow and cannot express how passionate the staff and coaches are. It is impossible to attend a class here and not feel how dedicated they coaches are to their craft and to passing it on to their students. It is a fine balance between teaching such a unique craft while not making it feel overwhelming for a newbie like me; a balance they strike perfectly every time. I would strongly recommend the classes here for anyone interested in learning Muay Thai and getting fit in the process.
Masha: Fun place to train with friendly fellow students and attentive instructors! I’m really enjoying it so far!
Christian Buscemi: Best place for REAL training. Come here with an open mind and really study. Sure they have had several ufc fighters they made stars out of but the reality is that anybody can learn to fight.
Cristian Martinez: Amazing atmosphere for anyone looking for muay thai, bjj, or mma. They take their time to teach you and make you feel part of the community. Can't recommend this place enough!!
Brian Peddie: I trained there from 2002-2004. Twenty years later I have never seen instructors better than these guys. Great gym, great instructors, no frills real deal gym.
Frank Garrett: It’s okay. Non thug environment and friendly. Best trainers in the Boston area in my experience and worth the money. No matter how good you are you can get better here. Plenty of pads and heavy bags. The owner and trainers are a close imitation to Muay Thai but not 100% authentic fundamental Muay Thai despite what they may think; no surprise since none of them are Thais. Closer to being 100% than the rest of the gyms in the area however, and more comprehensive. No showers here for when you’re finished and sweaty.
Nicole Byard: I was in town for the weekend and dropped in on the Saturday 10am all levels class muay thai class. Great instructor and welcoming group of people to train with. I would definitely go back next time I am in town!
Dylan Duggan: One of the best gyms to learn Muay Thai!! The trainers are super nice and very professional. If you want to learn this is the place to go!❤😊🙏
Sara Alice Harris: loved my time boxing there with Coach Massey and Coach Lyle! Miss it every d a m n day. I wish I lived closer...
Erwann Couesbot: Great Muay Thai and MMA place. Great team and coaches. Highly recommended!
Dave RALEIGH: First impressions for a martial arts gym are everything, and this place sets the bar high. The knowledge and reputation are first class, and the renovated upstairs is perfect. Trainers and students have always been respectful. I'd still be there if I didn't move across the country...but I make a point to stop in and train a couple times when I come home on vacation. Get in and train, you can do it!
Emily Kelly: No better place to go if you want to train with the best, learn from the best, be the best.
Sean Bettencourt: Hands down best gym on the east coast! Very knowledgeable and caring coaches with high intensity training with the best competitors in New England. #DellagrotteKarate all the way.
Amber Costa: I first tried getting ahold of Kru Mark on Tuesday morning. I was told that he was out of the office for the day but that he would return my phone call the next day. I did not hear from him so I called again. No one answered so I left a message. It is now Friday and I have left 4 messages and no one has called me back. I finally decided to reach out to another gym today. I called the gym about an hour ago and the owner already got back to me and we set something up right away. Disappointing!
Garfield McIntosh: I known Kru Mark about 20yrs one of the Best Instructors in mauy thai every also the Best School in Boston ..
Michael Hurst: Simply.Amazing
Isidro José Suárez Ávila: The best muay thai team!!!!

Back to Basics Martial Arts & Fitness: what do users think?
Anthony Eid: Last summer, I was living in Boston for my job and was unfamiliar with the area's MMA gyms. After researching several options, I decided to check out Back to Basics. From the first class, I knew it was the perfect place for me to spend my summer training. The community at the gym is fantastic because everyone is friendly, supportive, and dedicated to their training. The classes are well thought out, and the curriculum is concise and effective. Most importantly, Jeff is an exceptional coach who empowers his students to develop their own style while also pushing them to surpass their physical and mental limits.Looking back, I have fond memories of my time training at this gym, and I hope to return someday. If you're looking for a truly special place to train, I can't recommend Back to Basics enough. You won't just be welcomed into a gym, you'll be welcomed into a community.
Ruben C: Great spot, good vibes. Jeff is super awesome and runs a great place with welcoming vibes and really good students
James Afonso: Jeff is a great instructor and knows how to push his students. Great people great training.
Vishnu Patel: Jeff runs a good gym with good people and even better Jiu jitsu
Ali Bobi: Back to Basics is an amazing place to train with a friendly environment molded by Jeff Perez. To show my appreciation, I have written a rhyming haiku:Jeff is the man. Woo!He is my coach and pal too.We love Jiu-Jitsu.
Brenden Riggs: I travel fairly often for work and like to hit up the local Jiu Jitsu Gyms when possible.Though I was only able to attend two classes, it became immediately obvious that there are a ton of skilled people at this gym. And it's clear why:Jeff (the owner) has done a great job of fostering an amazing gym culture here. There's a perfect balance of not taking yourself too seriously, while also seriously working to improve everyone at the gym. Jeff discusses technique with students, but also the mindset/philosophy you should have when rolling.Great gym. Do yourself a favor and stop by if you're in the Boston area.
Xanthea Nikopoulos: If I could rate ten stars, I would. I started BJJ on a whim and was so nervous I would be completely out of my element, but I felt so accepted and encouraged with Jeff and the team.Women = completely safe spaceEveryone = respectful to the max, the more experienced people are always down to help and there is a strong spirit of camaraderie and learning rather than competitionGym = easily accessible on Newbury StreetEquipment = always clean and safeCoaches = the bestHow you feel knowing you get to go here on weeknights and learn to choke people out = badass
Will Meadows: This is one of the most welcoming gyms I’ve been too. Jeff cares deeply about each of his students and wants to see them improve. Very happy with my experience here.
Brett Turner: I’ve trained at many boxing & mma gyms, and I can’t say enough good things about Back to Basics. The instructors are experienced and charismatic, and do a great job of creating a welcoming & fun environment where people can challenge themselves at their own pace. The people who train here range from first timers to people who are actively competing, and the culture really is one where people check their egos at the door and are really good to each other. All in all a great place to train!
Jason Foster: I've been to a lot of gyms and back to basics has by far one of the best environments and communities. Everyone from the coaches to the students are extremely welcoming and the coaching is second to none. Jeff coaches in such a way that everyone will walk away from a class having learned something regardless of skill or prior experience. Regardless of your goals, if you're looking to get in shape, learn self defense, or compete this is an amazing gym.
Manuel Sobol: First time doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and had a very positive experience. Jeff is incredibly kind, passionate, and knowledgeable. The community and environment was very friendly and made learning easy. Highly recommend taking a class and training there.
Tim Reiss: The instructor Jeff Perez is an incredible professor. I've been working with him off and on for the last 6 months or so and have been learning a ton of exciting techniques. I forgot how addicting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu can be. He's created an ego-free culture at the gym where everyone is friendly and comes to learn and improve. Highly recommend.
Ryan King: I've been training with Coach Jeff for about a year now in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and fitness in both a private and class setting. I can without hesitation say that I am in the best shape of my life both physically and mentally thanks to this training. The Martial Arts program that Coach Jeff provides focuses on the understanding of body mechanics that allow you to feel confident going up against any opponent no matter what advantage they may have over you on paper. At Back to Basics you get out what you put in so whether you want to get into better shape and learn how to defend yourself or become a competitor in your combat sport of choice, there is no better place to reach those goals.
Aneesh Naik: I've been training with Jeff for about two years now, since the time he used to teach at Sityodtong Boston. He's able to teach what is an inherently complicated sport in a way that is easily understood, regardless of your current skill level. If effective and practical (and fun!) martial arts is what you are looking for, look no further.
Victoria Sirois: I have been learning from coach Jeff for almost 3 years now and I absolutely love it!JiuJitsu wasn’t something I ever thought I would try until a good friend of mine convinced me to take a class and I was hooked. Jeff is a fantastic teacher and creates such a welcoming environment that I cannot stress enough, so much so that everyone should sign up immediately! So come have a ball with- us laughing on the mats, learning fun ways to get fit *gasps, it exists!* while learning to defend yourself.
Samara Gallegos: I came into the gym with no jiujitsu experience and what I found was a very welcoming environment filled with friendly people who want to learn and have fun. I have known Jeff for four years now from when he used to teach kick boxing lessons at Title. He is very patient and encouraging while he is teaching, and he has a extensive professional background in MMA. The way he teaches breaks down the lessons in an easy and understandable way no matter your level.
Porom Shivam Kalita: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe best bjj gym in Boston!
David Sabin: I've trained in multiple cities under a couple of the biggest banners in jiu jitsu, and Jeff is one of the best coaches I've had. He's an engaging teacher with a focus on technique that has proven effective in both competition and self defense scenarios, irrespective of an individual's body type or athletic ability. If lineage is thing that's important to you, as an SBG black belt, he's got that covered too. Long story short--Jeff's building a fun and dangerous team out in Back Bay, and I highly recommend you come check it out.
Jon-Paul Lapena: The people at this gym feel like family. The instructor, Jeff, shows great passion for teaching, and his coaching comes with a lot of patience and attention; shows great respect to the craft. The new gym is intimate, with easy access from the Green Line (about a minute walk). Also, street parking is easy to come by at this time, so I wouldn't worry about paying garage fees. Training in jiujitsu was intimidating for me at the start, but I began to see progress about two-months into it, so stick to it! It's definitely worth the hard work.

Brazilian Top Team Boston: what do users think?
Yahya Kaddouri: I just wanna know if this club still open.
Dexterity: I’ve been training here for 4 years, it’s a great place and great teachers. Jiu-jitsu changed my LIFE
Tata’s Vlog: My kids has been going there for the past 6 years , great environment,Awesome teachers ! i really recommend it !!
Ricardo R: I’ve been training at BTT Boston since 2009. Great atmosphere, a lot of higher belts and Prof. Daniel Gazoni (5th degree black belt) is a pioneer of BJJ in New England with over 20 years of experience. This sport had helped us a lot in the positive way. We meet so many people from many places, people from different countries, and we always learn something from each other. Highly recommended.
Louis Turner: Went for a BJJ class a few years ago it was good, returned to Boston to see family, this week and have tried several times to call, tried several times to chat online and even left an email before I came, to ask about a few things...no response at all. I HAVE called during hours posted(hours which the website says yall are open), have tried to chat during hours posted online as open and having class...no response. Today there was supposed to be a muay thai class at 12, I got there at 1215, no one was there.I'm curious if the scheduled times are accurate as during those hours no one answered the phone when I called. I know it's not all about me but its frustrating when reaching out about class times, payment(which wasn't working online) etc and no response is given, not even after the fact. The muay thai class, an instructor Leo were great, but due to poor lack of communication, its a one star affair.Be well. "Ish"
Patrick: Bah!!!…ruhhh…..uh
M L: Took my first class, I was a little nervous driving over - but they made me feel right at home!!!The experts here are great teachers, the students have a positive attitude, and this locations environment, atmosphere and comradery inspire growth.see you inside!
Jean Harris: I like this gym very much. Great ppl to wrk out with and around, everyone's nice. Staff is great. And also a great price for the family if you need to bring kids with you. Check to see the times available to babysitting.
Buggyjae Bjj: Awesome campCame from a entire different gymInstantly fell in love with the atmosphere and the peopleEver since thenI never left
Amina Ferrer: location is awesome super competitive and yet still laid backbetween the long list of black belts always there training to the lower belts there everyone is willing to help you out !!!!highly recommendboth kids & adults

Adrian Eșanu: The best Jiu Jitsu team I ever trained with!!!
Gimena DeFilpo: Nice place I wish I can give them a 5 star but the jiu jitsu for kids there didn’t went well for my 8 years old ! Other kid BROKE his finger just bc he didn’t tap out on the mat !! The kids was the same age but more experience . My just started and learning . I called the manager few times nobody call me back . My child really want to learn jiu jitsu but after few hours at EMERGENCY room of course he don’t want to back there . BROKE FINGER!! Very sad .
Kenneth Siriani: Best group of guys and gals around and the instructors are second to none. Very competitive ( they teach but also compete at a very high level) and make it challenging and fun at the same time. I’ve got life events I’m going though, but look forward to returning. I genuinely like coming here as I consider many here my friends
Leticia Ugiete: Critical:Professionalism
Jair Morselli: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
alexander pabrezis: Amazing great school and unbelievable instructor's and some of the best people students I've ever meet
perry gagnon: Honestly I can't even begin to say enough great things about Brazilian top team Boston they have a team or better yet said a "family" that is welcoming to all. The atmosphere caters to just about anyone. Those who may be competitive, people that may just be looking to lose weight while learning a valuable skill set. it really doesn't matter because under this roof it's managed and instructed by Professor Daniels a real gem in the jiu-jitsu community. also followed by his many successful black belts who are always willing to share with and progress all students. if you're looking for a loyal honest family based jujitsu academy that will give you the results you're looking for this is probably the one give them a try, you won't regret it!
Fabio Incalado: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueProfessor Daniel is the best professor you can have. The team is super nice, I learned a lot and have a lot of fun.
Daniel De Oliveira: Best Jiu Jitsu gym Metro Boston. Professor Daniel Gazzoni is very knowledgeable and personable. Great atmosphere.
Zakaria Azeggouar Wallen: One of the best gyms out there. Has very different style from Brazilian jujitsu to muathai and Olympic style taekwondo. Friendly instructors. Great with kids. Multiple blackbelt during BJJ.

Kickboxing at Wai Kru MMA - Boston: what do users think?
Bart Hoang: Been training all my life. Real OG kinda space
Ayame Brooklyn: Great gym and customer service. everyone is friendly and the classes are great!
Space is a Lie: I LOVE THIS GYM! 5 STARS, VERY NICE!
Joe Diaz: Great gym with a fun community and excellent instructors. You get alot out of each class both in workout & technique and there's a wide availability in times and types of martial arts taught.
Steve Kim: Joining Wai Kru was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Since day one, I have received nothing but top notch instruction. Instructors and members alike want you to succeed regardless of your experience level. They will work with you to unlock your fullest potential while keeping it safe and manageable. Classes include Muay Thai, BJJ, Judo, Wrestling, and MMA. Each one will give you an excellent workout and transform you into a fighting machine. Gym culture is excellent and everyone is warm, kind, and welcoming. You really feel a sense of community here. Would like to write more, but I’m about to head there to train.
Sary Godinez: Ive been training her for the past about 4 months and love this place so much I even signed my little brother up. All their instructors are very knowledgable and cater to your needs. The hours are flexible which is a big plus and the training sessions provide a very good workout. Ive learned so much in these past couple of months but what i like the most is the inclusivness and how everyone treats each other like family.
Mike Donovan: Positive:ValueBeen going to this gym with my teenage son for a few months. Tons of fun! Great people, atmosphere and coaching. We are both getting in shape and learning lots. Everyone is humble and friendly and it's been a great place for my son to learn from terrific role models.
Max Keating: Positive:Quality
Johnny Milligan: Excellent coaching staff with top notch instruction. This place is awesome if you train Muay Thai, BJJ, or MMA and a great environment for both beginners and peoplewith more experience. The training is tough, but the energy from teammates and coaches helps you push yourself to get better 💪 👍
Alex Sibert: I love this gym! Great workout and very high quality training. They have all different classes for BJJ (gi and no gi, focus more on no gi), Muay Thai, Judo and MMA. I mostly do BJJ and the instruction is especially great. Kru John and Professor Elbert are both highly skilled and teach fundamentals and positional/wrestling style techniques. I was completely new to the sport when I started but I was able to win a grappling competition after just 2 months of training!! The entire team did extremely well. For me, it was completely due to the uniquely comprehensive instruction of the BJJ training that focuses on modern jiujitsu (which doesn't normally get taught ANYWHERE). Muay Thai is also very high quality instruction and the workouts are incredibly effective. Coach Dave is a beast, he is great at getting everyone to push themselves. Everyone just wants to help you get better but they also respect your limits. The entire gym community is wonderful though and it quickly becomes a familiar place for everyone who joins. It's a fun group!
John Allan: Wai Kru is a very unique gym. The skill level is extremely high and the instruction is definitely top notch.. It's a super good place to start if you have never trained before. Classes run pretty much all day long and gym is open and available between classes. It's easy to get to from public transportation. From Harvard square to the gym only took me 15 min by bus. Sadly I left Boston after graduation but greatly appreciated my time at Wai kru
Illia Kotliar: Kru John gonna teach you the real jujitsu. MuayThai classes are the best!
Lytton pan: Super cool place with very practical training
Sthefano Alves: I am the Boxing Trainer/Front desk at Wai Kru. It’s been a bit of a rebuilding situation here for about a year now dealing with issues as listed in the reviews but nothing we can’t overcome! I apologize on behalf of Wai Kru for the bad experiences. What a lot of people don’t understand is this gym used to have a large stable of fighters that would compete but over the years that just isn’t the case anymore and it has been hard transitioning. Kru John works extremely hard and sometimes it can get overwhelming. But! Just know our Wai Kru team is working extensively hard for 2020-21 to deliver a new looking and a much more organized gym to cater to our members! Wai Kru is a family and always will be! Thank you!
Frank Garrett: If you want to pay professional prices for amateur instruction, this place is for you. Biggest fraud in the business. You will have the fundamental skill level of a Bodycombat class participant, who can’t even block a head kick properly or teach elbow defense.
Susan Tipton: I'm a martial arts instructor and a gym manager in Tennessee, my 17 year old son (who's trained since he was 10) spent 6 weeks in Boston this summer and found this gym entirely on his own. They treated him like family. He sent me some videos of his training with various coaches there- I was really impressed with the level of professionalism. He came home with sharpened skills and a lot of great memories. Thanks so much!
Future Classics Paradise: I have been training at Wai Kru for close to a year. I have notice a great deal of effort from the staff to constantly improve the program and the level of instructions...as well as the gym itself. I like the fact that all levels are welcomed and how the instructors work with the students. It is a straight forward program without being pretentious.Thank you...
Tabea Kuehn: It was my first time there and the trainer was really helpful and open to my non experience, I had a feeling that this would be a place where you can achieve your goals quickly

Level Ground Mixed Martial Arts: what do users think?
dover adrenaline: Me and my friends got kicked for wrestling. What kind of MMA gym doesnt allow wrestling? The worst part is that the guy that kicked us wrestled us yesterday and gave us tips.
J G: Ali is one fine and fit woman!!
Corinna D'Schoto: a truly great mma gym. a variety of amazing, masterful teachers, fun classes, and an incredible sense of community.
Sarah Rivera: Great organization supporting the youth. They provide adult programs as well for fitness and mma.The staff are very welcoming and professional.
Simeal Woldu: This place is great, they have MMA, Kick boxing, Muay Thai, Gi/no Gi Jiu Jitsu, and more. The have nice clean equipment, gloves, shin pads, and other various pads. They have free weights, bar bells and a jungle gym type of frame. The best part is that the price is so affordable, you can't beat it. Not only do you get the physical benefits but the community is amazing. Love this place.
Noah: One of the best and definitely the cheapest place in Boston area. Very good instructors, great environment.
Eoin Shannin: This is an amazing place to go and work out the staff are always pleasant and very helpful and always give you an answer to any questions you have and the coaches are incredible I am a 62-year-old man who has been to many gyms and many martial arts places but this is by far the best place that I've tried out , got unbelievably good training I would recommend this place to anybody of all ages
Nieves Lara: This is by far the best fitness place I've ever been, all the people is so nice and welcoming plus i learned a lot from the staff and is really nice for all types of people that really wanna achieve their fitness goals.
Sadiki Lestrade: One of the shining gems in my community! This organization is dedicated to teaching the members of this neighborhood the graceful discipline of martial arts. It also serves as a resource for alot of the youth around as it focuses on helping them work towards their individual goals and learn to develop necessary life skills that they can apply in the future. This organization is a non-profit that centers around the idea of family and community and I've only ever felt that being a member here. My skills and due diligence are tested every time I walk through the door. On a very concious level, the cathartic relief I feel after spending hours on the mat make Level Ground a truly meditative and spiritual part of who I am. I feel very much at home here and I'm proud to say this is my home gym.
NANI143 DEPINA: Excellent. Great teachers. Good space and clean. Free classes for kids and teens. Temp. Checks and wear a mask. Just need an elevator lol. 2022 New classes for all. Great prices great staff. The owner is Awesome many blessings to her great job we need more people like her.💝 My son Noah will be back soon.
Nola De la Cruz: From attending to LG for a short amount of time, I learned and developed new skills that would help me beyond my years! The inspiration from both the staff and faculty drives people to work hard and achieve their fitness goals. I recommend this gym towards anyone that wants to see their fitness results.
Jose Innocent: Great environment and amazing stuff
Yume: The staff there are very understanding and welcoming
Jared Leon: Good place ppl are cool
Special K: Parents:Pay attention to these gentrified demons trying to brainwash your kids...😡😡😡If you have rules and structure you want your kids to adhere to...don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.Today My partner and I made a decision to withdraw her oldest son from a paid program he was allowed to participate in, for disciplinary reasons, after receiving some disturbing reports...Upon entering we were kindly greeted by Ali of Level Ground Mixed Martial Arts. 🙄🙄🙄The mom informed Ali that she’s withdraw her son from the program and today would be his last day.She asked if she could know why and was told no and that she was only there to withdraw him and take him home.I’m some sort of attempt at defense, Ali states that he was a good kid and has given her no trouble. She was informed that it wasn’t the case at home.(Here’s the problem)😒😒😒Ali then proceeds to make insinuations and ask questions like:“Is he given all the tools he needs as a young person?”🤔🤔🤔“I know him very well so I’d have to disagree...”(she “knows him” yet he only works 4xw 4hrs/day and just started this during the school year)“Well it’s hard to be happy when you’re in an unhappy environment”😱😱😱“Well by withdrawing him from the program you’re doing him a great disservice”🤬🤬🤬This “chick” stood in someone’s mother’s face and insinuated she knew their kid more then they do and that he’s “unhappy” because of his environment...Well Ali now we know where all the attitude and defiance was coming from...you won’t poison this one....
PKM General Contracting: LG is a great environment for both adult and children. The coaching saff are the best in town.
donovan lorenzo: It is a great place because you can learn so much
Andres Q: This is the best professional and family oriented , martial arts gym , I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of !!! Free for individuals 22 and under . Absolutely amazing !!!
Hank DeGroat: Love this place and the people!
Sheng Wang: Ali has created a both a safe and supportive environment for the benefit of the community. The gym is always clean and organized. Ali’s patience with the young adults and engagement with the volunteers is second to none!
