Boston School of Music Arts: what do users think?
Paul Marquez: Professional instructors who make learning fun! We appreciate that the children have performances to work toward and that all of the staff are always helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!
Christopher D. Anderson: BSMA has been very patient with a beginning musician (who doesn't always handle criticism well!), I'm very impressed at how encouraging and inspiring the instruction has been. Now if I could just get my son to practice more . . .
Olumide Adebo: My son does violin lessons here and it's great to have that in the neighborhood.
Nneka Edwards-Burgess: As an adult learner, the atmosphere is not intimidating. My family and I enjoy learning together.
Soondarie Barker: Linda and Julie are the beautiful faces of BSMA. They are extremely efficient. They readily tackle any questions or scheduling conflicts. The instructors are knowledgeable and always friendly. They do a wonderful job of tailoring lessons to meet students where they are. Last, but not least, Sharon and Yuri are talented and passionate musicians. They have set the goal of filling hearts with the power of music and are committed to seeing that goal through to fruition for all who enter the doors of BSMA.
Tracey Worthen: Good music school close to my neighborhood. Great teachers and a good learning experience.
Ingrid: I do not have much to say than it is a fantastic school, well organized, where your child learns. I can see the progress. Great school! Music is like a balm for the soul!
Jane Wood: I learned how to play piano and do vocals here! I have been going here for 5 years and I have never had a bad experience! The owners are very cautious about Covid-19,which is a good thing! The teachers here really teach you what your limits really are and help you achieve your goals! Would really recommend for anything from ages 6+!
Eliane Shwairi: I started taking lessons and I like the place so far.
Kate Bosolango: I learned two of my main instruments at this school. They have wonderful professors and quality facilities.
Alyssa Whitworth: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,Value
Natalie Mitchell: wonderful atmosphere
Pierre Mentor: I enjoy the way they show me some lessons...then i do a lot of progress, when i practiced the guitar from them...🗼
Khu Duong: Friendly and knowledgeable staffs.
Alessandra Pollina: We’ve had a great experience so far with children’s piano lessons. The instructors are fantastic with kids, and the school has been easy to communicate with and be a part of.
Jeanel Humber: I love the classes. My daughter loves Ms. Sharon and has a great time in the class with her friends. She has learned about a lot of new instruments. It's very educational! "
george howard: Great place for young music learners
Avi Meyers: I feel lucky to have found Yury, Sharon and the Boston School of Music Arts. I began my journey at the age of 4 with classical violin lessons. These gradually turned into guitar lessons at the age of 15. I have always had a deep passion for music, but never quite felt fulfilled from it. When I began to write my own music, I realized this was the best way to focus my energies, and the next logical step was to find a voice coach. This led me to Yury, and we began a series of lessons. I soon realized I had stumbled upon more than a voice coach. Yury is my music mentor, he allows his students a chance to grow, and develop into artists in the most organic way possible. His knowledge of music, and skills on a plethora of instruments are unmatched. Couple this with the professional and warm-hearted nature of Sharon who runs the school, and I can't imagine why anyone would take lessons anywhere else. I felt compelled to write this review and encourage anyone with an interest or desire to play music to come down to the Boston School of Music Arts and get involved in this awesome community of musicians.

Children's Music Center: what do users think?
Shivika Nayyar: Music together classes here are very good. The teacher was very engaged and loved her enthusiasm. The best in Jp. My toddler and I both enjoyed. Highly recommend this place. Also has a drop in pay as you go option. By far, best in JP.
Nate Deshmukh Towery: We've been doing Music Together here for the last two plus years with our now-three-year-old and his younger brother and have been really pleased with the whole experience. The teachers (Christy and Taylor) are both great, the music is wonderful, and the kids have a blast. Highly recommended!

Page Music Lessons: what do users think?
MengDe Zhu: I called the number below and heard a voice message saying it is closed during holiday, reopening at Jan 3rd. But it is already Jan 7th. What's wrong?
Ngan Tran: I have been learning piano at Page Music Lessons for about 8 months now. My instructor is Sarah Yang, she is an amazing teacher who is very patient and helpful toward my learning process. The staff there are also very nice and friendly. I really enjoy the lessons and have a great time every time I come to the studio. I would definitely recommend Page Music Lessons to any of my friends who is interested in learning a new instrument.
Sanford McMurtry: I started taking piano lessons a few weeks ago without any previous experience other than having learned to play guitar over the past 15 years. Within a couple of weeks, Thomasina has helped me understand how to read music notation and play several songs. I am thrilled with the progress and recently upgraded my membership to the Full Membership plan and can't wait to take advantage of the benefits that are available with the membership.
Rebecca Ercolani: I have been taking piano lessons at the studio for just over a year now. As an adult, I had no prior experience to playing a musical instrument and because of this, was hesitant to begin knowing the learning curve I would be facing. My instructor, Pierre, has been extremely helpful and patient in this process, beginning my journey with the basics and gradually building up my skill set as I have been ready. He does an excellent job of teaching musical theory, which I found not only interesting, but beneficial as I learn more about different pieces and genres. The office staff is very kind and flexible, making it easy to reschedule or cancel lessons as needed. If you are looking to learn a new musical skill or brush up on one you already have, I would certainly recommend Page Music Lessons.
Ronan Barrett: I have been taking lessons with Page Music for approximately 3 years. Throughout that time I have enjoyed the experience of learning to play guitar. Matt has done a great job of challenging me to develop my skills at a pace I am comfortable with. SInce the pandemic began, lessons shifted to being virtual and we have hardly missed a beat. Via Zoom, Matt continued to work together. In fact, being able to play with my own amp. has contributed to my progress. I would absolutely recommend Page Music to any adult interested in learning to play. Virtual teaching did not affect the standard of instruction in any way.
Kurt Wagner: I'm an adult who has taken electric guitar lessons at Page Music Lessons for several years. The instructors are highly skilled, supportive, and extremely easy to work with. I also really enjoy the monthly jam nights, which gives students a chance to play together in a low pressure, fun, environment; but one which can be as challenging as you want to make it. The pandemic has obviously changed the way they operate, but the instructors have adapted and their personal Zoom lessons are virtually as good as live lessons, and very convenient! If you're an adult who has been thinking about starting or resuming playing music, this is a great time to do it, and I would highly recommend Page for lessons.
Deven Smith-Clarke: Great group of people. Instructors are good, and the song nights are great to play with other musicians.
Qi Liao: I have been taking piano lessons at Page Music for over a year. When I came here, I can hardly read the notes. After one year of commitment, I have finished one book and was able to perform my favorite Bach. Thank you Jasmine and Page Music. You are the best.
Niall Corrigan: My daughter has been taking violin lessons at Page Music for about 18 months now. The experience has been very positive. Her teacher, Taylor, has been wonderful - patient and encouraging. She takes an approach that might be described as Suzuki light, and will often spend some time on musical theory or history during the lessons. Daughter genuinely looks forward to her weekly lesson. The facility is also great. Conveniently located on Newbury St right by a the Hynes T-stop. They have a simple billing system that works well. The staff are extremely accomodating and responsive. They host regular recitals offsite that offer a non-threatening opportunity for students to play in front of a group. Finally, one of the managers/instructors (Rick) occasionally brings his dog to the studio - and she's fantastic!
Phyllis Wilker: I started violin lessons at Page about five months ago and I have really enjoyed them. I had studied violin when I was younger, but I hadn't taken lessons since high school, so I was more than a little apprehensive. My teacher, Taylor, has been great for me. She points out techniques that I need to improve, but she is also kind and encouraging. She has expertise in various types of violin playing - classical, jazz and bluegrass and she has been open to teaching me different types of music, as well as some music theory.
Michael Davin: As a 60 year old learning to play an instrument (guitar) for the first time, I'm thrilled I chose Page Music. My overall experience has been educational, relaxing and exciting. Matt is an amazing teacher! His patience and encouragement for a newbie like me has been inspirational. I look forward to continuing my lessons as I chase my goal of becoming a proficient, recreational guitarist. Thank you Page Music!!
John Cragin: Outstanding instruction that combines knowledge, patience, flexibility and humor. I might be one of the slowest students ever but I come away from each lesson knowing more and inspired to keep learning.
Juan Kim: Hey! I am just curious how much it is for a monthly lesson?
Stephanie Walther: I have had a significant improvement in my voice in the year that I have been taking lessons. I also participate in the jam nights, song nights, and recitals that Page offers. They give me a chance to work on stage fright, stage presence, working with an ensemble, and working with songs that stretch my comfort zone. My instructor and the jam/song night leaders have been incredibly supportive and positive as I learn to use my voice. It's been a great experience.
Kevin: I've been taking lessons with Aaron and Emily for a while now and have been extremely happy with the progress. They're friendly and helpful in providing a customized plan for improving, as well as extremely knowledgeable about theory, which is more than I had expected from lessons. Overall, the environment here is great, generally fun and relaxed, which makes it helpful for learning.
Eric Lavalliere: I've been taking Lessons at Page for Just over 6 months, my experience has been great! The first few months I stuck with one on one lessons to learn the basics. Recently I also got involved with song and jam nights. This has really brought everything together. The great private instruction combined with low pressure group classes is awesome.
Cara Donovan: My son and I have taken drum lessons with Dan at Page Music for almost 8 months. There are varied opportunities to play with others/before an audience. Dan is a patient and animated teacher and we look forward to our weekly lessons. I would highly recommend Page Music for first time musicians. They are flexible with proper notice to change if you need to. Instructors are knowledgeable and talented.
Ronald Lohse: I returned to playing piano after several years away. The studio and the instruction here is first rate. Plenty of opportunities to perform if that's your thing. Also, they have been very flexible whenever I have needed to reschedule. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking to start or continue their music education.
Kathleen C. Stone: I returned to playing piano as an adult and have studied with several teachers, but the most outstanding is Jasmine at Page Music. She is a terrific musician, trained in classical as well as jazz, and a great teacher as well. She pitches her lessons to my level, and combines playing with a little theory, and she never minds having to repeat or re-explain a point. I am delighted to be her student.
Julio Butter: I've been taking voice lessons from Page Music for approximately 6 months now and have been learning a lot! I am really happy for the service and quality of the lessons, and my voice improvement has exceeded my expectations. I definitely recommend music school for any musician out there.
Sarah Fortune: Over the past six years, both my son and daughter have taken lessons at Page in drums and voice/bass respectively. We have been consistently impressed because their teachers have uniformly made learning to play instruments joyful. Not that the teachers don't have high standards and ask the kids to practice a lot----but the teachers allow the kids to explore their own musical interests through their respective instruments. This experience has contrasted with the kids' years in other, (more formal?) music schools where the curriculum marched through a series of learning to play books that were soul killingly boring. Also love the flexibility in scheduling.

Musicians Playground: what do users think?
Doug Vinitsky: Excellent instructors and environment
Riley Fox: Yo!! MP is the best!! If you're on the fence and reading this on Google just try it; the people (both other members and the staff) are so encouraging, talented, and chill. I have advanced dramatically as a guitar player since I started in May and have made some awesome new friends. My favorite things about MP include labs where you get to jam with other people, repertoire where we work on specific songs every week (Hotel California and Stairway to Heaven recently), the ability to practice and plug into an amp whenever I want, and the numerous events outside of classes (happy hour performances, hikes, Friendsgiving, etc.).Shout out to Eli, Kevin, and Kenan for the guitar wisdom, the Alyssas for maintaining the best vibes in the studio, and Rylee for having a sick name. 🤘😎
Neha Gupta: Musician's playground is one of the sweetest deals around for anyone who is looking to pick up a new hobby or reinvigorate an old one (piano, voice, guitar). I was intimidated at first thinking everyone would be really advanced with their music skills, but I was relieved to find that most members have full-time jobs and see this as an outlet and something they do for fun. Alyssa (the owner) creates a warm and welcoming environment and prioritizes building a community with happy hours and holiday events - it's a great way to get to know new people in the city!
Brittany Felder: This place is absolutely a musicians paradise! You have the option of going to guitar , vocal or piano labs and expanding your musical knowledge in all of these areas. You also get private lessons to expand on what you learn and focus your journey!I think the coolest part of musicians playground is being able to dabble in various instruments and still have a focus. It’s also an amazing way to meet high quality people and share in music together. This place has such a homey community and it’s very welcoming. Ive picked up a second instrument since I’ve started here and have already had the opportunity to perform! 10/10 would recommend
Korede Ogundele: Great coaching, great atmosphere, and different options for membership packages
Muthukumaran P K: MP is more like a family to me. I started 2 years back. Since then my piano progress has been stellar. I picked up guitar as well. High recommend any anyone/everyone to join the MP community! :)
Roseanna Chu: This place is AMAZING! It's a great place to learn voice, piano or guitar. I love that there are "drop in" classes as part of the membership and the instructors are incredible. They put on a happy hour every few months so students can showcase what they're working on. The atmosphere is so inviting and supportive. If you're thinking about lessons, just do it!
Ridge Salomon: The service there was great, I had a fun time using the space and not only is it a great space, but the staff there was very nice and accommodating, I would recommend connecting to Musicians Playground to anyone who wants a photo/video shoot.
Alyssa Palladino: I have been attending the Battle of the Bands classes at Musicians Playground, and I leave with a smile on my face every time. The whole team is so kind and they make it such a fun experience. I get one on one help on piano while also getting to play in small groups and a larger group with singers and guitarists. Alyssa and the entire team at Musicians Playground are so kind and welcoming, and I have a blast when I come to Musicians Playground. I would recommend MP to anyone who wants to take the next step, or the first step, in their musical journey. Look no further, this is the place!
Gerdine: First off, the booking process and the professionalism of Alyssa and her assistant Will are unmatched! I am a photographer and I have booked at a number of places, but this was by far the best space I’ve been to and the service was impeccable! I was able to do a great lifestyle photoshoot, and there was so many places to be creative. I appreciated the different elements of the space. I definitely plan to have my clients book here for the future. If you are a photographer looking for a space to have your next photoshoot, I would look no further, you will have everything you need here! Also, Will was the absolute best!! He was always available to help and checked to see if we need anything , he was so helpful! Overall it was such a great experience and I highly recommend it!
Jean-Pierre Salazar: I came to Boston for 1 month and decided to try out music lessons here. I had never taken any music lessons so I was a little hesitant but MP really has something for people of all skill levels. The value I got from unlimited group classes and 4 private lessons in that month was insane. Everytime I went in I walked away with some new understanding of my voice or piano playing. I did private vocal lessons with Kelsey who was always very encouraging . I sent some videos of our private lessons to other friends who had taken vocal classes and they were in awe of how supportive and kind she was. Most importantly, all of my sessions with Kelsey felt collaborative and helped build my confidence/abilities. I'm glad I could start my journey in vocal training with her. I wish I could take Musicians Playground with me wherever I travelled. I will continue virtually :). Make sure to take advantage of the band sessions if you are local . Im grateful for all of the wonderful instructors who helped me experience my first taste of music instruction. Really grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of this community. Thank you!
William Phillips: Located in the heart of Boston, Musician Playground is the best studio to grow as a musician. As a recent college graduate who has always had a passion for music, this organization offers the support, direction, and guidance to achieve one’s goals. Some key features of the studio include practice rooms, a self-serve kitchen, rental space, and much more. The teachers are incredibly knowledgeable and talented as well. They provide their students with the confidence and skill to improve their musicianship. Currently, I am taking piano lessons which have been a wonderful experience. I believe I have finally found my community.
LDee Boutique: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality,ValueRented this space for a Photoshoot and the entire experience and service from the staff was wonderful, from start to finish! Alyssa and Will were amazing and the space is beautiful.
Christian Roman: Whether you've been playing for years or are just starting out, Musicians Playground is designed to help you become the best musician you want to be. The teachers genuinely care and inspire their students every class to create music and push themselves to learn new things. There is never not something to be excited about at MP as a member, whether it's live performances or the song of the month. Alyssa is wonderful and created an atmosphere that makes you feel welcome from the moment you step in. If you've been looking for a place that invites all musicians, builds friendships and relationships, and will make you grow overall , Musicians Playground is perfect for you
Pragya Jalan: I started taking classes at Musicians Playground about a year ago - and I have loved every moment of it. I wanted to learn Piano and was looking for adult classes and a friend on mine suggested Musicians Playground. From the beginning everyone was super friendly and welcoming - from all the instructors to all their clients, and everyone is really helping each other succeed. I have been taking private lesson with Daniel as well and I can really see the difference from when I started to now. Every week I look forward to attending the classes as it really helps we unwind. Even during these trying times, they have seamlessly transitioned to online classes to continue teaching. I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn an instrument or take voice classes.
Calvin Lin: It’s been a few months since I’ve joined for private the group vocal lessons and I’m really enjoying myself here. The community aspect is something you don’t usually see much of in other music schools so it really stands out in this regard. Otherwise the teachers know their stuff so no complaints there :)
Shawna Simon: I recently started taking the online classes and they are so much fun! The teachers foster a warm and supportive environment which has helped me to grow musically and personally. It feels great to take this time, not only to improve my musical skills, but also to be part of this wonderful virtual community.
mark sheremet: I was a volunteer at Musician's Playground and I absolutely loved it! The amount of enthusiasm all the teachers and volunteers have for the place is astounding! Everyone is working hard and smiling in the process. Alyssa manages the school phenomenally, making sure each and every student gets the attention and instruction they need to improve their musical abilities. I am definitely coming back soon!
翟曦雨: I took group lessons and private lessons. They are great! My private class teacher Daniel Nerger is very nice, smart, responsible, patient and effective and funny and even helped me find my girlfriend! Will go to Musicians Playground as long as I’m in Boston.
Ryan Gregory: I've had the pleasure of photographing several events at Musicians Playground, and every time I enter the space I am greeted by warm welcomes and music. The energy there is contagious, and I highly recommend MP for hosting events and music lessons. By far one of may favorite places to shoot because of the quality of the people and the space.
Steven Frey: Absolutely love this place, the whole team is incredibly knowledgeable, make very clear lesson plans & goals, and have set up a great community! After nearly 8 years of not having music as a part of my life, MP has been the catalyst to bringing it back into my daily routine!
