E. S.: Loved it. Atmosphere was reminiscent of an old, underground gentlemen's club that got invaded by college kids. Came there for my (belated) birthday dinner. Staff is cool. Drinks are good. Steak and cheese was bomb. Will be back.

Tony Buelsing: Tried to go to comedy night, bouncer claimed that my real ID was fake and I would have to call the police to get it back, so I did. They showed up and got it back, but the bouncer continued to insist to them that it was fake so despite the police telling them it wasn’t, I was told that I still wouldn’t be allowed inside.

Amber Kemp: I never leave poor reviews but this evening at hava was borderline traumatic. My friends and I went for a comedy show, which was fantastic. After the comedy show we needed to use the restroom which is downstairs on the same floor as their “night club”. From the staff to the owner, my friends and I were disrespected, mishandled and downright treated poorly. We exited the restroom bombarded with staff saying we needed to pay to be in said night club and nearly man handled my friend out of the building. We had no interest in the sleezy club yet because we were on the same floor using the bathroom they insisted we owed a cover charge and excused us from the building accusing us of trying to get a “free ride”. I have never felt so livid, disrespected and helpless. The comedians were terrific but be VERY wary of the venue.

Ticket was for 9, I arrived around 10:15, there was literally no line, and the bouncer made me wait in the rain for 20 minutes it was so weird. If I'm paying $65 for a ticket, I don't want to be waiting in the rain for 20 minutes when there is literally no line.We get in there, checking in went quick, coat check was very affordable. Most of the staff was very cold though.We hit the dance floor and the speakers were literally so awful it sounded like someone's phone in a cup (like actually). I asked one of the bouncers why the music was so scratchy and quiet, and he said it was because they couldn't turn on the real speakers until 11:45 because the place they rent from above them was hosting another event and the club has to stay quiet. I was like ok its NYE, my friends and I paid well over $200 just to get in here and there is no actual music....in a CLUB until 11:45 on nye.AND to top this off, my friend was over served and when she asked for water the bartender said "oh we don't have that here" which was just absurd.Whole thing felt scammy an unwell.

Raffaele Guida: Meh it's an ok club, kinda small. All of a sudden they increased their cover charge to $40 just because other clubs did the same in Boston, ok but if nothing has improved then it's also not justified. Yes way overpriced. I don't recommend it

He found my friends door bag after every single employee of the club was pushing us out. Michael came through and really understood the severity of the situation due to the mission Dior duffle bay. Again Michael deserves at least a 20k raise. He found the bag and is the Goat in life. Big thanks we love u forever Michael. Drinks on us after finals weeks ❤️

A bouncer purposely knocked a drink out of my friends hand and then continued to grab him physically. Also do not pay the $30-40 cover fee for a trash bar. This facility is not for those who want to enjoy a luxurious night life experience in Boston. The cover charge is $30 which is definitely overpriced in my opinion. Spencer: Grad school buddies and I (all in our late 20s/early 30s) wanted to check out a new spot for nightlife and went last night. Cover was $40 and if I had to guess I’d say conservatively 90% of the crowd got in with fake IDs. Not exactly our scene these days. If you’re under 21 and looking for a club in Boston, this seems like your spot. If you’re an adult looking to go out, skip this place.
Rachel: The bouncers out front were extremely rude and degrading - they turned away half my friends for “pregaming” saying it wasn’t allowed and called one of my friends with glasses four-eyes. I tried to ask for clarification about what they meant from the self proclaimed owner of the establishment and he rudely kept yelling at me that he owed me no explanation and to mind my own business. Don’t waste your money here
Kim Hubner: Was in Boston for the weekend from Pittsburgh and a worker at a bar near by recommended this “nightclub”. Cost $30 for a cover charge for literally the worst nightclub I’ve ever been too. The bartender didn’t even know how to make a Vegas bomb and neither did the other two bartenders. He put Jameson, triple sec, and topped it with Red Bull in a little shot glass. Not to mention this place is SO small as well. Don’t waste your time going to the place!!

I did not tip because my friend wrote down a big tip on her transaction. Next thing I know, I check my bank statement, and the bartender added a tip himself!!! I don't mind giving him a tip. But adding it on himself without me authorizing it?? ILLEGAL. THATS CONSIDERED FRAUD. If ur at this club, be aware u might get scammed!!!!!!!!

Pleazure came out to our Airbnb and we had such a great time!It was all of our first times having a male entertainer and he made it so much fun while still keeping it professional. Emmanuel Londono: Friendly staff. Very friendly bouncer. Not beginner friendly. You DO NEED a partner for this place. Website clearly states no partner needed. You dance solo non beginner friendly báchata/salsa for 10-15 minutes which was fun. THEN you NEED a partner. One of the gentleman that came to learn solo, poor guy walked around for 10-15 minutes trying to find someone but obviously couldn’t SINCE YOU NEED A PARTNER.5 guys sitting alone on seats because they came alone with the intention to strictly learn. DO NOT COME IF you are single, or did not bring a friend… at least offer solo dancing if you’re going to state no partner needed. Waste of money. I’m not shy AT ALL, and social interactions I excel at. Frustrated since I paid 15 dollars to dance 15 minutes.Cute place for a date, or learning WITH A PARTNER. The beginner friendly dancing Is like expecting a 4 year old child to read a short 300 page novel...( I know how to get by with bachata) Manage your own expectations. I would’ve danced more beginner friendly bachata at a club or bar much more easily, and would’ve easily found a “partner” there.

A& A: Come here for great fun salsa! Not snobby. Friendly dancers of all races were here on Tuesday. The entrance was free before 9pm on Tuesday May 2nd 2017. This was recommended by a friend who lives locally. Would come back here again.

The instructors, music, and drinks were wonderful. Any dancer of all levels will enjoy it here. Btw, there is a coat and bag check there which is free
Nathaniel: Seemed great if you already know how to dance, but if youre a beginner don’t bother. The lessons are awful if you don’t already know dances. Within the first 2 minutes they just started saying numbers without telling what’s going on. Half the people don’t know what’s happening and the instructors act like it should be common knowledge. If you don’t know how to dance and want to be embarrassed then this is your place.
Craig Martin: I go somewhat regularly and it's made me a much better dancer - still a long way to go. I saw another review complaining about the bouncer and the vaccine card policy. Every time I go, the bouncer gives me a big smile and thanks me for coming. Very nice person just like the rest of the staff. I've never had a bad experience and I appreciate knowing everyone inside is vaccinated.

I am a regular, and I really like the very spacious hardwood dance floor, the friendly atmosphere and people, and the wonderful music. Jeff makes a point in keeping the dancers safe. The staff shows strong professionalism and high integrity. Today, I lost my wedding band; Jeff and his wonderful staff made a real effort in finding my ring. I am extremely grateful that they found it and returned it to me on the same day. If you like latin dance, I highly recommend Havana Club!
A.J. Mills: Please be careful here. I am not sure if it was staff or another patron, but someone put something in my drink here last night. I am a 6 foot 270lb man, this can happen to anyone. I’m lucky my friends were there to take care of me, things could have been much worse.Edit after Owner Response:I am glad that, as an owner, you memorize each patron at the bar every night and your first instinct is to deflect rather than seeking more info. Sadly this is to be expected based off of the tone in other review responses. This is a disgusting problem rampant all over the city and I, as a bar owner, would be be focused on ensuring the safety of my patrons. Again, I am thankful that I was not alone, as my friends were able to make sure I got home safely, something I would not have been able to do on my own. As I said, this can happen to anyone at any time--go out in groups, and stay vigilant.
Charles Jacobs: Strict vaccine card policy and rude bouncer who prides himself in turning people away.I presented an iPhone photo of my Passport (which has been accepted at ever bar I’ve gone to in Boston and Chicago…) and bouncer insisted that it was invalid.I offered to show him matching insurance cards, bank accounts, social media accounts etc. but he was insistent on that not being “valid” because of everyone’s “safety.”😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑😑 Really?He bragged how he “once sent a guy all the way back to Lowell.”When I asked to speak to anyone else inside, like a manager/owner, the answer was a hard no…Went home but didn’t end up going back because I was so turned off by this guy.I realize he was “just doing his job,” but why not accept this form of ID when EVERYWHERE else I’ve gone has accepted this? Any explanation?This was my first time going to visit here and my last time trying to visit here.I will Not be making a second attempt to visit.(Visited on 8/2/2022)
Terri O'Brien: I have a medical exemption for the vax but couldn't get in. Vaxed people get & transmit Covid. I test every week but can't get in. No one wears a mask. I find this practice discriminatory, political & completely nonsensical.It would make more sense to me if masks were also required but yes I will absolutely respect your decisions and policies. I look forward to a time when none of this is necessary. Enjoy your day.

We were a party of 9 for a bachelor's and we probably consumed more alcohol that any other group in the lounge. Still no respect and we were left standing holding our coats. Awful experience .

One of us reached one of the stools from the bars and immediately a bouncer came and told us we can’t move the chairs (again, we were the only ones in the bar), and didn’t offer an option to help us sit more comfortable.Besides the mediocre service, we order a bunch of appetizers and they were average to bad. Drinks were overpriced.

Stephanie Pasquesi: If I could give zero stars, I would. The guy who worked the door tonight is rude and treats customers like utter trash. He watched fifteen people leave and let two in. He told the two ladies in front of us that there was “no bathroom” inside the lounge. What kind of lie is that? He then accused them of trying to get in for the sole purpose of using the bathroom. We had all been in line for half an hour at that point. Why would anyone wait half an hour in line for a lounge just to use a bathroom when they could go find a McDonalds? Next, magically people who were behind us in line got let in before us and the women in line in front of us. Then for the final straw, despite a posted dress code at the door that did not mention shorts were inappropriate tells my boyfriend as we had been waiting at the front of the line for twenty minutes that “there was no way he’d be getting in with shorts on.” It was nearly 80 degrees in Boston today, chinos are more than appropriate. At that point, it felt like we had been kept around to keep the outward appearance of a long line to passersby. There was plenty of opportunity to say something in the time that elapsed while we were near the front, and let’s remember the posted dress code on the door does not mention shorts. So sad as the W Lounge was one of my boyfriend’s favorite places while working in the city this summer. Hard to justify spending your money at a place that treats you and others around you in such a terrible manner. We won’t be back.

Elektra Alivisatos: We found Michele online to help us prepare for our first dance at our wedding. We had never done any formal dance lessons together but had a vision of what we wanted. Michele did an excellent job choreographing our dance to meet our abilities and preferences, including adjusting the music speed! We looked forward (and miss them!) to our lessons with Michele which were often filled with lots of laughter. Highly recommend working with Michele if you're ready to show off some moves for any occasion!
Melissa Grasso: Michele was literally the best part about planning the wedding. The only thing we wanted was a choreographed dance and she made it happen in 10 weeks (you don't need that much, we just wanted the extra time). She'll take you from zero to whatever level you want to get to. We really looked forward to our lesson every week. It was fun and Michele is hilarious. Couldn't recommend more highly. We're planning to return to take regular lessons for fun.
Jessica Olans: Michele was so much fun! She was patient with me and my husband who have zero coordination or dance past. It was truly a pleasure getting to spend time with Michele at the studio each week leading up to our wedding. We were in need of one more practice and she had us at her home which was above and beyond!! Thank you Michele!
Katie Way: Michele is amazing!! Before meeting Michelle, my now husband and I had no idea even how to box step which was nerve-wracking going into our wedding. But over 6 lessons, she helped ingrain the proper steps and the rhythm (well my husband still struggles with rhythm but thats a different story). Michele was fun to work with, she was very lively and observant. By the time our dance came around we both felt comfortable and ended up having a blast. She even helped us with a few spins/twirls which our guests loved. We highly recommend Michele for anyone looking for dance lessons! Thank you!

C Hudson: Me and my girls had a great time at their final Caribbean night! The music was great, the people were cool, the drinks were strong and affordable. Only thing was the bathroom situation sucks, only 2 stalls in the women's restroom for a venue than has two floors for events. Overall the vibes were great. Sad to hear they're closing their doors!

I bought 4 shots roughly two weeks ago and the total was $66 and I tipped $2 on card bringing it to $68 but somehow my statement says $78. Make sure you double check and I will be reporting this as fraud because This is the second time I’ve noticed they charged more than what I signed on the receipt.

Gabi Leovan: Accused one person of my party of having a fake ID even though they had the same ID as everyone else. We were ready to call the cops and have them verify it, but the bouncer was very belligerent and just shut us down. Toilets also had no toilet paper. Food and drinks were good. I am just very confused about their half-hearted carding policies. You can't just say one person has a fake ID when you said all the other similar ones are ok in this establisment. Even if you lack the capacity to verify it there is no reason to be aggressive and rude. Just say you can't verify the ID and move on.

James Fenter: We tried for a few months to reserve the Napoleon room for our reception/celebration in June. We emailed, left vm, and finally called to try to communicate with someone. We finally got through to a very disinterested individual who told us to email the same address we’d been emailing without success or call the same number we’d been getting no return calls from.Told him to forget it. We’ll go elsewhere.It’s too bad. I’ve enjoyed many dinners and events at Club Cafe, our 1st date was there. But I’m taking the disregard personally. Not that they care.

BLUF 4273: I loved the tea dance on Sundays before the pandemic. I went three times at the beginning of 2023 only to find the dance floor almost empty, discouraging me from continuing. Before the pandemic, the tea dance was from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm and until midnight on some occasions like Labor Day weekend. Now it’s from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. I don’t know if that change corresponds to a lower clientele. Please reply if someone has more information about the Sunday tea dance after the pandemic. I look forward to having fun again.

Eric Buzard: Went for the club portion after 10pm. No lines early in the night to get in but still plenty of people already dancing. A friend who came later did experience a line to get in, so keep that in mind. Also, cover was $15 each person but an ATM is inside the door if you forgot to bring cash. Drinks were reasonably priced for a big city and the bartenders were friendly and professional and kept the bars pretty clear of any build up of people thanks to their fast service.
Laura Stringer: Was in town for a few days and this was the closest karaoke near my hotel. Seemed like a lot of regulars who knew each other but also a few one-off folks like me. There were some intimidatingly skilled singers and also a supportive crowd for just belting your heart out even if you can't quite find the note. Will definitely go back if I'm around again on a Wednesday night!

Maggie Morio: Great food at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere is amazing in the Napoleon Room, which is basically a cabaret style entertainment. The pianist is extraordinary talented and members of the audience come prepared with the score and start singing the American song book. The atmosphere is amazing and you forget all your troubles that you may had that day. Go check it out.
