Boston House Plants: what do users think?
Monica Anh Nguyen: Cute plants and outside of Boston Olive Oil Company. Plants are larger sizes, 8 inches and above. I got a 8 inches philodendron and it's already the smaller ones there. I like it but at the same time I wish it was a bit smaller so I can see it grow
michelle connolly: Reasonably priced house plants on Newbury street. Picked up this beauty while strolling home yesterday. The store was super cute and staff was extremely nice and helpful- will be back for sure!

Bonny's Garden Center: what do users think?
Steve Harris: Cash or check only; no credit cards.
Craig Terlino: Cambridge's oldest nursery family owned. Fully stocked with all personal and commercial needs for gardening. A great spot for Christmas trees. Closes in winter after Christmas.
Jennifer Wipf: Came for Christmas stuff. Prices not well marked. Staff not available. It was pouring and we basically had to tie the tree up ourselves while children cried in the car. Awesome experience (sarcasm).
Tobias Herrmann: Fantastic flowers for a fantastic price. So much better variety and quality than any Home Depot or Lowes in the Boston area. Love that store. Please go here for all your flower needs. But bring cash or check, no credit cards.
Erik Williams: A local gem. Better service, selection and prices than the big box stores. Feels good to support this local business. Thanks for the exceptional service, Sal!
Asdf Jkl: they had the goldflame honeysuckle plant I was looking for
Rick Nelson: Nice garden center. We were there this time of year for a 🎄.
Mary Demelo: Bonny’s has the best customer service ever. Support local business and stop by, you will never go anywhere else. They always helped me find what I was looking for, helped me with great suggestions for my garden and every single time I stopped by I felt welcome.
Ale A: Excelente! Muchas opciones de árboles de navidad, los chicos muy amables.
Brett Mason: Great service, great plant stock. Wonderfully small family business. Serving both general pubic and gardening services in the Cambridge area.
Christy Dennison: Sweet family-owned business. The two brothers are so happy to help you find what you need and are incredibly nice in addition to knowledgeable from their years of experience. You will never get such great service from a hardware store. Good organic options. They are the only garden center that has catnip plants! I will not go to another garden center again. 😊
Cindy Ballo: Small lot with great plants service and prices. A true hidden gem. Bring cash or checks!
Colleen Barry: These guys have always been wonderful — very kind and helpful and super reasonably priced.
Stephanie Gullo: Great place!
Mary Ellen Fountaine: They don't take credit cards, cash or check onlyThe selection was amazing.the wildlife gathering there amazing.
matthew clark: The best place in Cambridge for outdoor plants & garden needs
zweli Miller: Outstanding selection of plants, great soils and fertilizers, great knowledge, local family business. Going to Bonny’s is taking a short path to gardening success. But be respectful because these dudes are Cantabrigians
Richard Thomas: Wide variety of choices, great prices and very helpful staff.
Syrah M: It is a fantastic garden center. The plants look so healthy & the owner is so helpful.Be prepared! They don’t except cards. Only cash or check
Caterina Strambio De Castillia: I love this place. People are nice, no frills and very competent. Highly recommended
Hillary Perkins: They've got a great selection of stuff and helpful staff. Wasn't planning on buying anything and ended up walking away with a couple really pretty flowering plants and a strawberry plant. Just a heads-up though, they only take cash or check, but they're super cool about you paying them later if you don't have enough cash on you or your checkbook.

Mahoney's Garden Centers: what do users think?
Xuedao He: 我想買亚洲大梨树如向查看照片和种类,
William Birch: I have been coming to this plant store since I moved to Boston 10 years ago. The staff is always super knowledgeable and they have the nicest selection of pottery for plants I have ever seen.
Sherry Charland: Really beautiful buildings well stocked with pots and plants as well as amendments and tools. The indoor store is packed floor to ceiling and overhead with gorgeous, healthy greens and a *stunning* selection of decorative pots
Andrew Beauchesne: One of the best, if not the best, garden center and nursery in the Boston area. I keep coming back for the large variety of healthy plants, even during the off season, at reasonable prices. The pot selection is good too.
Moraru Marta: What an extraordinary shop! I had a truly spiritual adventure for 1 hour here and of course I did not leave the store without 2 gorgeous plants that will complete my apartment harmony !I’d like to thank the lady at the cashier who explained so clearly and accurately about everything my plants would need to live happily!
Max E Single: I look forward to shopping Mahoney’s for my gardening needs and advice. Reliable quality, good advice, customer service, decent prices, unusual products and decor all good reasons to visit.
Danila Massara: Amazing place! Lots of plants of all types, good prices and an incredible selection of gorgeous pots and vases of all size and colors. I will be back
Nora A.: I'm an avid plant lover and I've purchased many plants from Mahoney's over the years so I was really disappointed when I found out my $30 pothos plant was dying of root rot because they had planted several cuttings in an 8 inch deep pot to make it look like a lush plant. About 3 days after purchasing it I kept finding rotten pieces in the pot - figured it was adjusting to its new home and I kept cleaning out the rotten pieces. By the end of the week I was starting to get worried since none of the soil was drying (mind you I have not once watered it since bringing it home). Took the plant apart with hopes of repotting in fresh soil only to find 10-15 cuttings with shallow roots and a bunch of rotten roots. I don't even have a receipt to return it. I will be looking for a new nursery to purchase from.
Greg Ivey: My favorite place for plants in the GBA.
Jeremy Blaustein: My go to for all of my gardening needs. I really appreciate that they clearly label options for native species.
Aaron Franklin: Beautiful holiday displays. Prices are a little high though
Cat: Beautiful complex, I came during June and they had a lovely selection of plants including indoor and outdoor. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Aldo Solares: James is awesome!
Michelle Healy: Winchester location is by far the best
selim gurel: Great , quality selection with higher prices normally.
Daya Puls: This place is in Brighton! It's a gardening center, nothing else. We come here a lot because they are close by and have a good variety.
Wei: I have been a loyal customer for 12 years, but the most recent experience there made me decide to no longer shop plants there. As other people mentioned in their reviews, most of the staff there are so nice and friendly but not the manager (an older White man). He yelled at us for no reason and being super rude to my friend who is an Asian female. We are shocked by his attitude and rudeness. While I do not want to play the race card, but he was super nice to other White male customers in the meantime, making us feel like we are inferior and not welcomed there. So goodbye, Mahoney, and I will stop recommending you to all my friends.
Jackie Barr: Mahoney's has such a broad selection of plants and everything you need for tending a garden or a small farm!I appreciate that they are locally-owned and that they have some specialized and unique things and also some basic affordable things for someone new to the area and just getting back into gardening like me.Feels great to walk through here. The staff is helpful, it smells good and earthy, and it's got such a variety of things to choose from.
Em Hooper: Friendly, helpful, great selection of mulches
Ellen Lockwood: Huge selection of healthy plants.
Roslyn Heafitz: Helpful staffBeautiful goodsGreat prices

Thayer Nursery: what do users think?
Paula Bonney: This place is unbelievable! I have never seem a place with so much beautiful and varied stock. I had been looking all over the state for a couple of trees that I finally found @ Thayer's. They were a perfect size and look pristine. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful. They are very knowledgeable and extremely courteous. I cannot say enough about them. Even though it's a bit of a hike, I will definitely be back! They are a hidden gem you have to go visit. I guarantee you will find something, you did not know, you could not live without.
Richard Bean: Great place for plants! They do excellent landscaping design and installation. Josh really puts his heart into his design work and his whole team do excellent work in implementing that design. Highly recommend them!
Glenn Bogardus: Always a unique selection of perennials, shrubs, and annuals. Thayer is a must-stop on any trip to the Blue Hills nurseries. They always have tons of specimens you don't see at other places. This year we got a gorgeous climbing hydrangea, some very unique Anemone and Astilbes varieties, and their Echninecea selection is always one of the best! I believe they also offer a vastly more extensive Shrub selection if you order in Fall for a Spring planting arrival. Staff are very friendly and local.
Bill Devino: You can find everything you need for your garden there. Great selection on flowers, trees and shrubs. They carry great accessories to decorate the garden and yard. They also carry great kiln dried wood.
C Els: The best wood. Burns clean, burns hot. I was tired of buying wood at stop and shop to have it burn like a wet rag. Get what you pay for.
Justine Georgeopolus: Highly recommend! They have a great selection and all their plants are very healthy. Friendly staff. Gorgeous nursery layout. I definitely would recommend checking them out!
Hilary Croach: Great small nursery
Joseph Dockham: Staff very helpful and friendly. I went not knowing what I was looking for and ended up buying what is pictured.
Monica C: Best Family run nursery and landscaping business.
Brian Wilson: Looks like an amazing place to visit but the website does not list any of their products. This is the 21st century. I am sad to say I do not have the time to travel many miles and visit on the off-chance they might have a plant, tree, or shrub I desire. I would beg the owners to hire a web designer and photographer to put together their entire collection online. Then they will be rolling in cash. Especially if they then deliver, or ship out online orders. I love buying local, but I hate wasting my time. At the very least provide a downloadable pdf of all products available. Pretty please.
Gabriel Caro: Wonderful Selection of plants, many of them native or hard-to-find. I was very impressed with some of the rare perennials available, many of which I haven't seen anywhere else. You can get lost wandering the ample grounds and huge selection. I visited in late summer, and can imagine how great it would be to visit in the spring. Highly recommended.

A. Thomas and Sons Nursery: what do users think?
Glenn Bogardus: Very high quality nursery. Compared to many other Boston-area Nurseries (esp. Mahoney's) their prices are FAR better on perennials. The specimens here can't be beat - especially the Shrubs they are always stunning and huge. In the Spring their shrubs are also unparalleled. I bought two Hydrangeas here - and Endless Summer Original, and Seaside Serenade, and both are absolutely gorgeous and huge and bloomed like crazy right out of the nursery pot. They also have an extensive tree selection as well, alongside bulk materials like gravel, peat, soil, etc.
David Aieta: Extremely good customer service! Would recommend.
Justin Donoftio: Amazing service and knowledgeable employees! I bit off more then I could chew with redoing my landscaping. Assisted my throughout the whole process and informed me about how to care for the plants properly after they were put in the ground.
Dean Stone: Love this garden center. Always professional and willing to help. I recently bought 25 arborvitae’s for a hedge and they’ve grown in beautifully, the delivery guys helped me get them to where they needed to be and even helped me put them in the holes! The plant care sheets they give and the time they take to explain how to take care of the plants is above and beyond what I expected, will be shopping here again for sure
Tony Nuzzo: I have had zero success with this nursery. Bought 40 6ft arborvites 2 years ago all died in 6 months. Recently bought a 4ft holly, died in 6 weeks. This company does not guarantee anything
Kwo Hong: Made a quick delivery and mess up the size of the soil. When we call the have them swap it back, they try every possible way to not rectify the problem. Worst they try to blame us for making the wrong order when in fact we were charge for the bigger bag and they only send a smaller size. Have being a long time customer for years and spend a ton of money each year. The way they treat us was so unprofessional and sadly I can get the same stuff from other nurseries. Why argue for over half hour with the customer instead of apologizing for their mistake is beyond me. Won't ever go back there again. These are extremely arrogant workers and management. Btw, this is the second mistake for delivery. The first time they sent us the wrong fruit tree. You guys serious need to double check you order before shipping. And please take a class on being professional at all times to the customers.
ada nnah: This company are the worst, when it comes to delivery, look at the pictures and tell me why they can’t drop a sand, where they supposed to but rather, the driver said his job is only to drop right in front of my driveway to obstruct cars from going in and out!! Make sure if using this company that delivery at the spot you requested is not an issue!! The office don’t have any remorse or understanding!! Terrible service and never to use such company.
Umida Yusupova: Extremely rude people working here. They just lost $20K purchase.
Kristina Perry Jessup: Just had the best time shopping for plants today here! Everyone was very knowledgeable and friendly. Especially Christian who helped us out! We will definitely be coming back again! 😊
Will Boericke: Great selection and quality, fair prices.
namaste: They are the best!!!
Doreen Treacy: Never ceases to delight!
Darren: Didn't have a huge selection this year of annuals. Customer service always good, plants look hearty.
Molly Dunn: Best garden shop, nursery ava!
Patrick Donaldson: Shopping at a Thomas son is one of the greatest experience the way you are comfortable you will spend all that you did not plan on spending
Mary Conant: Beautiful assortment of healthy plants, trees and shrubs
Sunshine Rayne: Absolutely fabulous! They have the best selection of flower, red leaf banana plants, shrubs. Just everthing is so gorgeous. My yarrd is going to look beyond fabulous!!!!
Ann Griffith: I have been visiting this nursery for a while now, and had recommended lots of friends, today was not a good experience the women there are not customer service friendly at all
Bernice Philip: Very nice, excellent service
ivan lawrence: Has the largest quantity and quality of plants locally , workers are polite and experienced
Eric M: The place is beautiful, and well organized. They also have ladybugs, which have hard to find lately!

Oak Hill Nurseries: what do users think?
Amir Tahmasebi: Five star is too low for this place. Marion goes above and beyond to help you! She is wonderful, knowledgeable and caring. I called them inquiring about specific type of trees. Marion kindly offered to pick up for me from NH!! The day after I got text messages from her with photos and several options. Wait. Not done yet. She delivered to my house and helped unload it and left her trolly for my landscaping guys to use to move the trees to the spots. Thank you Marion for such five star customer service.
Ammy lowney: This is a woman’s owned business with the beautiful and healthiest plans around Westwood and Dedham. Her customer service is amazing and beautiful space as well.
Elise Cedrone: Marion is wonderful and helped me source, deliver and install a beautiful mature tree for my yard that had very special meaning. She is extremely knowledgeable, fair, and a pleasure to work with! I would recommend Oak Hill to anyone looking for a stress free experience.
Ruth Maney: Helpful, good plants. and service.
Jeannine Williams: Oak Hill Nurseries has an exceptional collection of plants. Something for everyone from exotic succulents/cacti to a variety of trees and leafy plants. As a result, I’ve frequented the store over the last couple years! Also, the staff are very kind and helpful - they care deeply for the plants and share extensive knowledge on how to care for your new plants at home.
Perrin Duke: Really nice people and good prices

Growing Season: what do users think?
Tabitha Rose Lopez: I think this place might be closed. I went to visit, and the door was locked, the space was almost empty. Their instagram disappeared and the website is no longer running. 😔
Danielle Poublon: Almost every time I come here I end up leaving with an extremely healthy & full plant, which I feel I can’t find at other plant shops in the area! The owner takes care & time to bag the plant so it’s safe for transportation, too. Great atmosphere - already planning my next trip back.
Anonymous: Seems like a cute, exquisite plant shop offering a wide variety of options for customers. Will highly recommend trying it out.
StawBury: Warning‼️Lady at the front desk is rude and super unfriendly. I never felt more unwelcomed and uncomfortable at a plant store. The front desk lady said I can't buy the plants I wanted. I recommend going somewhere else instead, like Brighton, Central Square, China town or Harvard where staff and management are more friendly and welcoming.
Jonas Ben Riala: Amazing atmosphere and service. Will definitely come back!
Sherry Cotaco: I love Growing Season! It has amazing selections of plants (common or rare). What makes it more special than most plant stores is the wonderful owner and staff who are not only knowledgeable about the plants they sell, but friendly and warm. They’re always happy to talk plant care for expert or newbie plant people. When I visit the shop, I always feel welcome and go home satisfied with either a plant or plant accessories. This is definitely a top local plant shop in the city.
Matthew Choy: For over a year now, this shop has provided me with cute pots, accessories, and incredible plants. Seriously, I used to think I couldn't keep plants alive, but every plant I have purchased here has THRIVED. I think the key is that the owner (who is extremely knowledgable and friendly) takes the time to source high-quality, diverse plants for sale. There are plants for everyone here, from beginners looking for an easy-care plant to collectors chasing rare varieties. With the diligence and expertise of the store staff, each plant is labeled, identified, and has clear care instructions. With ever-changing stock, both online and in-store, there's always a reason to stop in and check out this neighborhood pillar each week!
Chloe Brunelle: The worst customer service I’ve ever encountered in the plant business. I have been a repeat customer of their rare plant section. I have driven multiple time to Boston which is over 2 hr drive from my house. To find on one occasion the store being closed nothing reported on their social or website. Then the most recent offense is today I also drove more than 2 hrs, ready to buy multiple rare plants. For the owner to tell me that they are no longer selling these plants In store. She did not relay this message on her socials or website, or else I wouldn’t have taken the time out of my day to travel. Overall terrible management and customer service experience ever. I would not recommend buying plant from here to support this small business who doesn’t even know how to run it.
Cody Smith: Overall a smaller selection of plants and items, but also *higher quality*. Emphasis on rarer plant cultivars at great prices. I was also impressed by the curated selection of chic, minimalistic pots, LECA, and other gardening accessories. Highly recommend.
David Huber: I found this shop on Google as my sister was in a hospital nearby delivering a baby. The manager took the time to speak with me about what plant would be best and I ordered a lovely 'Svngonium Pink Splash.' It was delivered with care and was well received!! I can say the owner is thoughtful and knowledgeable about their plants. Thank you for your help and suggestion!
Jackie Ekins: Incredible little shop!! I have a lot of plants (25) and I always find a new unique one in this shop when I go in. Definitely recommend. They also have some of the more basic low light plants for beginners.
Ojaswini Bakshi: It's a lovely store with such a nice owner! And it really does have rare plants. We got a Venus fly trap and the owner told us how to look after it. Give this place a shot, if you're looking to decorate your apartment with an eclectic collection of plants.
Melody Phu: Great variety of common and rare plants. The staff are very helpful for beginner shoppers and show a lot of care for the plants!
Victoria Levina: First off, the shop is so adorable, and I love how there are rare plants and common plants. There are so many options to choose from and each plant has a little sticker on the nursery pot that has instructions on how to care for it. The owner was so so sweet and she asked if I was going home right away or walking around with the plant. She then packed up my plant so carefully and put in some protection so it wouldn’t freeze in the cold. I’ve only gotten one plant from here but I will 100% be going back! Cannot recommend enough
Nina Sanchez: This is absolutely my favorite plant shop in MA! The plants are so healthy and so beautiful, the shop is really unique :)
Vi Lee: the owner is so nice and the general atmosphere of the store is wonderful. they have a giant selection and they get new stuff in all the time. definitely my favorite place to buy plants.
Kylie M: I can’t recommend this shop enough (and I do recommend it to all my fellow plant enthusiasts)! All of the plants I’ve purchased here are thriving in my home. It’s such a treat to visit - the plant selection is constantly changing, they carry a really cute selection of small gifts, and the owner is so kind and friendly.
Emma Jenkins: Best plant store ever! Such kind and helpful staff an an amazing selection of whatever plant you're looking for (rare or common)
Katie Petkewich: Min is the sweetest person ever and made me feel right at home in her little shop! Incredible plant selection and truly cares about customers. Although I’ve only been to the store once, I love keeping up with Min and the shop through Instagram!
Sweetgurl nguyen: Great place to buy plant, the owner is very sweet and helpful, will come back soon
Layla Dean: great plant store!! excellent selection of common as well as incredibly rare (like, i’ve never seen them in person before) plants. pretty reasonable prices and a fairly small but unique selection of planters. super happy i stopped by!! happy monstera in 6” pot for $28, not bad.

niche: what do users think?
Maggie Hsieh: Love this store. Super cute with friendly staffs. However, they are all overpriced.
Kimberly Baling: I love this plant store. Super cute, well stocked and healthy plants. The owner was very kind and knowledgeable and very helpful.
J H: Really nice selection for plants for a tiny shop. I got a few little babies, and they gave out plant care cards per plant as well. Staff were pleasant. However, the shop is infested with fungus gnats (gnats lay eggs in the plants, larvae eat the roots and destroy plants. Can be treated, but then you bring them into your home. They look like fruitflies). Pots are pretty pricey as well in comparison to other small plant shops I've visited. Plants are also more than I'd like to spend but I don't have such variety at home out of state.
Wei: Smaller than the other location but has a nice collection of plants. You can find cheaper plants in other plant nurseries but this one is the closest to my home. Staff are friendly and willing to share plant care knowledge.
Felix Yang (Flxzy): A small little gem of a plant shop and the shopkeeper there was really nice and answered any questions I had.
Magenta Jasinski: Small space but large selection! A lot of unique plants I’ve never seen in a store before.
Elsa Nerea: I love it
Jamie Poirier: Truly lovely!! The girl working was super helpful and made great recommendations. The plant was very healthy when I bought it and still is.
Elsa Sandvik: Great selection of high quality plants! I got a Hoya crimson queen, 2 cacti, a lemon button fern, string of hearts and a caput Medusae (airplant). They all seem happy, and I did not see any pest infestations!
Christopher West: Good customer service. Expensive prices
Jack Moldave: What a wonderful store. And Adam was sooo nice and helpful. I love his energy and excitement when it comes to plants.
Sheilah Belin-Jones: I'm giving two stars due to the fact that I was in the store on 3/11/21, I had around $300 worth of plants to purchase on my lunch break and the janky card reader wouldn't allow Google, Samsung, or Apple Pay. With the area and cost of these plants...about 6 of them. The owner should upgrade and help her customers with new aged technology. Now I have to go to the ATM, to walk back over to Tremont street, to help small local businesses. This business needs to help itself and upgrade it's cash out system. I'm not walking back to Tremont street....sorry Niche....
Ian Hersmdolf-Placido: Amazing & knowledgeable staff! Great selection of plants at reasonable prices!
pimlak kuma: Love the place! There are 4$miniatures as well
Alex Crawford: Really cool shop, the staff are super friendly and helpful - they'll hook you up with an awesome plant!
Erin Caldwell: Great little urban plant store with a nice variety and easy online ordering with curbside pickup. Love the little care cards that come with each plant.
Nikia Powers: Super cute spot. Got this cute lil plant and info card. I liked that.
Emily B: The staff was so friendly and nice & the shop was absolutely beautiful!!! Definitely recommend checking it out. For a garden plant shop it is a bit on the pricey side but they’re willing to help their customers with any plant problems and repotting issues!
Tyler Nay: Great plant selection. Knowledgeable staff.
Will S: Really nice store with great people. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.
Hanne Richardson: I've purchased several plants here (succulents, sansevieria, pepperomia, and a prayer plant) and they are always good quality! The staff are helpful and the plants are labeled with care instructions. Prices can be a little steep, but they sometimes have plants that are hard to find in other stores!

Russell's Garden Center: what do users think?
Mrs. C: Best plants around
Yuliya Shulman: Excellent garden center all year round.
Maya Jonas-Silver: Dan is awesome
Jay Tailor (J): If you're looking to add varieties in your lawn, I guess you can go visit here.
Sharon Rosenzweig: Had exactly the plant I was looking for at a reasonable price.
Sebastian Ebarb: Love this place. Prices are a little on the high side and inside is like a rabbit warren. But the staff and knowledge are unmatched
Jane Parker: Fabulous winter farmers market. Many vendors and a wide variety of products and produce.
Melinda Petit: Russell's is a local gem! Great staff, they have an extensive garden supply, greenhouse, seasonal plants business. And they also have a great gift shop with unique finds, handmade gifts and everything you need for backyard birding.
Antonella D'Eramo: I'm not sure if they have the best trees (seems like they might) or the best prices but we returned for our Christmas tree again this year thanks to the customer service. The staff is SO kind and merry. Andy helped us put the tree on the car and my 3 year old son already can't wait to go back next year.
Jeffrey Dalio: I want to say that this is an amazing place to be any time of the year. But today was an off day for one of the employees. I have been collecting for 9 years in this store. Christmas elves. There not inexpensive. So I asked and the response was. We can't please everyone. I work retail and this would not have been my answer to a customer. Again this is an amazing place. Thank you
David Mooers: Best garden center in the area. Also an excellent place for Christmas decorations and custom wreaths.
Warren Dottin: A trip to Russells is always an enjoyable time and today was no exception. The employees are always so friendly knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you so much!
Daya Puls: This is a great place, no matter what season. I can wander for hours....We went for our winter Amaryllis bulbs.
Zubair Khan: An awesome place to be in summer. It's happening and fun to visit. I always get my aquatic plants here at the start of summer.
Kate McPherson: We used Russell's Garden Center for all of our flowers for our wedding, and we could not have been happier. From the moment we met Bev, we knew we were in good hands. She helped us pick the perfect flowers while still staying within our budget. She also created a floral arrangement on an arch we had rented, and it looked beautiful. We were thrilled with everything.
Jenna Lamb: Staff is super helpful
Kirby Ledvina: We used Russell's as our wedding florist and are so happy we did. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend. Bev in their floral department was wonderful to work with - she was so responsive and created some beautiful arrangements within our very restricted budget. The Garden Center itself is really nice and fun to explore, too! We live on the other side of town but will stop by next time we're in the area.
Mark Delacruz: Tina from "Trees & Shrubs" made this place quite spectacular. Everyone was incredibly pleasant and informed about the plants and products. I have returned twice already this week. The quantity and quality of the selection are unrivaled. I will conclude by praising the personnel, it was a wonderful experience!
Jake Pereira: If you can’t find what your looking for here… it doesn’t exist. From faux to the real deal they seem to have everything and anything plant related, house plants, trees, even water features! Also everyone is super knowledgeable!
Go Flying: Great selection of Annuals.
Elizabeth Caruso: I have shopped at Russell's for many years. I noticed that the prices seemed higher than the usual increases on my last visit, but hey, you know... everything costs more this year. They have a helpful staff and good selection of well cared for plants.Deliveries of plant material come in every week, so call and ask if there's something special you seek. They give a 10% discount to Mass Hort members, as well as to members of WGBH, WBUR, Tower Hill Botanic Garden, NE Wildflower Society, and the Arnold Arboretum, and US Military.NOTE TO GARDENERS: Plastic pots are in short supply! Keep yours out of the landfill by returning them to the nursery on your next visit.

Ricky's Flower Market: what do users think?
R C: Pretty good selections. The guy who rang me up dropped my seedlings on the ground and they broke apart. I purchased almost $200 worth of stuff and he didn’t even apologize… Also, if you ask the cashier a question, he answers rudely. Not sure what his stinking attitude is about but he should treat his customers w/ respect!
Henry Edward Hardy: I am a stroke survivor. I'm 63. I walk with a cane, and I walk pretty slowly, to mitigate the risk of another serious fall which sends me to the hospital.I live a few blocks from Ricky's and I went over there to see if they had any honeysuckle. The first employee I encountered seemed not to know what honeysuckle was, but then she walked away quickly leaving me to try to catch up. When I found her again, she told another employee standing there something something honeysuckle. As soon as she walked away, he walked away too. I said hey could you help me please and he looked back and then walked away quicker.I walked back to the back counter where the man by the counter was having a conversation with someone. I stood there waiting a while for him to speak to me but he studiously ignored me until some people came up behind me, outside my field of view.He told me "Move!" and put his hand down making a sweeping motion with straight fingers and wriggled them at me from the lower joint. I said, "what?" I turned around following his gaze and then made sure I could safely back up and I did so.I said, "I am disabled. I am a stroke survivor."He told me:"You aren't disabled"He has a buddy who had polio and "he isn't really disabled. He can do things."I said "I didn't have polio. I had a stroke." And I turned my back and walked away.He came after me shouting. Did I think I was someone important. Wasn't I a man enough to make way for two "ladies" and so on.I felt threatened and intimidated and like he was trying to provoke a confrontation and stop me from just walking away. This is by far the worst customer service I have encountered since moving to the Boston area in 2008.**update**Owner has apologized. I'll give them another chance and will update review after. Thanks for your consideration.update:April 20, 2023Stopped by and picked up some nice marigolds and pansys today.Customer service was not proactive, stood behind the counter, answered my questions but didn't come out to assist me with selection or purchase notwithstanding that I was carrying my cane.Average customer service experience, not great but nothing to complain about.
Kevin Morrison: THE SERVICE HERE IS THE WORST ANYWHERE ESPECIALLY ON DELIVERIES DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY!!!
Denise Lauers: Good Christimas Tree selection with a great customer service!
Gretchen Bennett: Just got a great Christmas tree. A little pricey, but the people are super helpful!
Christopher Collier: Ricky's is the best!
Rai H.: 👩🏻overview: randomly spotted this place and got a seven foot balsam tree for $135. staffs were friendly and they helped us load the tree. much better than the last year’s tree - shape and condition wise.💁🏻‍♀️final words: i would get my next year’s christmas tree from here again! affordable and closely located from my place.
Raina Searles: I’ve purchased plants from here and also was able to take the plants back for some assistance on reviving them after I sunburned the leaves.
Lucia Bee: This place is amazing!!!!! Their selection is MASSIVE and they have pots for days. You will find plants here that you cannot find elsewhere with any consistency. It's not ideal for someone who knows nothing about plants because there aren't a lot of labels/staff around to answer questions, but if you love plants and are willing to do the research, or already know the basics, you might find your new favorite here.
Pauli Katz: Ricky's is such a happy place! All the oxygen the happy plants are releasing must have something to do with it.I had a black thumb until the pandemic forced me to try again. I lived walking distance to Ricky's and so went over to see what I could keep alive. Fast forward a few years and not only are those plants still alive, thanks to the staff for answering a few hundred million questions along the way, but they've all got siblings and my apartment is overflowing with green. I've moved and walking over is a slightly harder option when I've got a plant need/question, but I'll never go anywhere else, they're fantastic!
Steven Finn: Ricky is a liar and a con manHe sent me the wrong plantsThe trees a bought didn’t last a seasonHe overcharged for deliveryStay far away from this creep
Mark Diethelm: They have everything you need for your garden. It's hard not to spend a ton of money every time you go in.
Laura Aguilar: We had last minute venue changes that drastically changed our floral plans. To say she delivered is an understatement! The most beautiful, unique, and fresh flowers
Vasavi venkatesh: I never knew about this place until today and I am so glad I found it. First time outdoor gardening an I found everything I needed. Got some veggie starters, soul and containers. It is a huge place and LOTs of choices for flowers and veggies. The owner was very helpful and gave excellent tips. Plus they do deliveries too!!! Would totally recommend!
Cathalina MacDonald: Amazing variety of plants! I didn't know where to find ghost peppers last year but now I do!! I will definitely be back for some of the awesome hanging plants I saw there!!!
Maya Shen: The place’s huge inside, glad I checked it out today, it has many sections covered all kinds of gardening needs and plants types. Fun to just walk around as well, there aren’t many insects given the density of plants.
Stephanie Shields: Lovely place
Samir Sell: Flores para um jardim mais alegre você encontra aqui
APOORVA KUKDE: Fun place with green plants and very pretty flowers 🌸It’s a huge place and you can find a lot of variety of plants and shrubs !The indoor plants are very beautiful and peacefulI found a couple on their date 🤣
Teddy: Great local source for gardening and house plant supplies. Friendly staff!
בתיה פורת: שווה ביקור יש שם מגוון גדול של פרחים צמחי תבלין ועוד
