Boston Home Inc: what do users think?
Victoria Stevens: The Boston Home is a wonderful place to work! The staff and residents are a very close knit and caring community. Every day there are fun activities planned for residents, along with many special events such as musical performances, holiday celebrations and socials throughout the year. The Boston Home also plans staff appreciation activities throughout the year, such as massages, ice cream truck visits and holiday meals. The grounds are beautiful with well-maintained gardens that are beloved by staff and residents.
Barbara Parece: Please don't let your loved one go into this place. They don't care, they are short staffed, there is an English language barrier and my loved one died of neglect. He died from septic shock after I begged them to pay attention to his symptoms. They treat the family with no respect. His hygiene was not taken care of, lost his teeth, dirty, please, it's awful...
sophia shibe: DO NOT SEND ANYBODY HERE. i went on thanksgiving and my mom with trigeminal neuralgia was complaining of pain, the dr tapped her leg and said “see. all better”, she asked for a doctor but they sent in a nurse instead that shoved meds down her throat. she was gagging and throwing up, saying “please no, please dont”. she forced fed her the meds AGAIN. they don’t let her make calls either. dont worry i’m going to handle this and let all of massachusetts know what these people are all about.
Myles Winston: The food is restaurant quality, the staff cordial, friendly and I have a mouse that visits me nightly, his name is Ralph, and is quite amusing...ah!....Heeeeey Ralph, be quiet, I'm trying to finish this review...No, I can't rub your belly right now...................

Standish Village Assisted Living & Compass Memory Support Community: what do users think?
AAA MMM: We made the decision several years ago to transition my mother from living with us to living at an assisted living facility due to her medical conditions. This decision took us several years to make and many visits to different places and by far we kept coming back to Standish Village because it did not feel like a facility but it felt like a home. The building is beautiful, full of amenities and well maintained. The staff is truly caring and patient. They talk to my mother not as a client but as a friend or family member. Even though my mother initially resisted going to Standish Village, she now enjoys living there very much and has been living at Standish for several years. Standish Village has provided us the opportunity for her to be just our Mom and us just to be her children.
Bill Noland: My mother spent the last 10 months of her long life at Standish Village. She received excellent care from the caring and attentive staff. The facility is clean and well-maintained, and the food is excellent. Standish has lots of activities for residents that clearly have great participation, though my mom was a bit too unwell to take advantage of many of them. Nonetheless, she loved her studio apartment and had forged good relationships with caregivers and other residents. We definitely felt we made the right choice with Standish, and appreciate everything they did to make her final months as happy as possible.
Jhllane Mateo: Hey Jhllane Mateo with mor at home
A Thompson: Standish Village is a wonderful facility staffed by friendly, caring people. My aunt is in the memory care unit and it is the best place she can be. I can't say enough good things about Lynda and Anna who care for her and encourage her and make sure she is safe and happy. Julie, Jessi, Katy and Joe always keep me informed, sending me texts and pictures or calling if need be. I don't know all of the staff, but everyone I have met or have had contact with are truly caring individuals. The building is clean and attractive and well maintained by Mike who was a big help during the move. The food is excellent and varied and there are always many activities going on. My aunt did not want to leave her home but is now happy and comfortable at Standish and I am confident she is safe and cared for.
Anthony Nesmith: First let me say thank you Standish Village for the excellent care you have given to my father. My father was a resident for 6 years. The staff and associates are very welcoming and warm. He initially lived in the assisted living neighborhood and transitioned to compass memory support. Regardless of which neighborhood in Standish Village your loved one resides; they are treated like family. There are daily interactive activities as well as special events to keep resident active and engaged while keeping some form of independence. Special thanks to Anna, Marjorie, Linda, Joe, Jessi, Rosalyn, Katie and Julie for excellent care, support and nurturing you provided my father. He still says his old Navy phrase "As You Were". So, with that, keep on providing the excellent care to your current and incoming resident! Our family will never forget what you have done for us and many other families.
Karenlee Namrog: Very professional from the moment they answer the phone. They took care of my uncle with the utmost patience and care. I would highly recommend this facility! Thank you for all you do! And the food was exceptional!
Leslie Premo: Standish was the perfect place for my brother to recover from several surgeries before returning home. The food and amenities were great but mostly he loved the people. Both the staff and residents are pleasant, kind and accommodating. We loved the special events like movies and cookouts! Thanks once again Standish!
Sheri Mackinnon: I want to thank the team at Standish for the help they have been with transitioning our family member who has to for her safety, but does not want to be in assisted living. They are great at communicating with me on a regular business no matter how big or small the issues are. Julie and Hilary are always available. They have helped make our family member become more comfortable in the facility. She currently attends almost every event and loves Lauren and the programming staff. She has even been a few COVID safe field trips. She speaks highly of Mike who helps her with her maintenance issues. She has been challenged with her health and Jessi and her staff have stepped out to help make her feel more comfortable going to them for assistance. Jessi has gone above and beyond communicating with me as well as her doctors. She even did a Zoom call with her doctors which we couldn't even get her to do when she was home.I know transitioning a loved one who doesn't want to be in assisted living is heartbreaking but the staff at Standish does all they can to make it a better experience for all.
Louise Hall: I want to thank the entire care team in the Memory Unit for the love and attention they show my dearest friend Sonya. .The amazing Ericka Foley recently presented her with the Standish Village Lifetime Achievement Award and party which commemorated her work as an architect and ceramist and her volunteer work for rescued animals and her sheer goodness inside a shy exterior throughout her life .I have not seen her so happy in five years of declining dementia. This gives me the greatest comfort.A shout out too to Patrice and Anna and Linda for all you do to care for her .Louise Hall.
Marjorie Louis: This place is exceptional , very nice and clean, the staff is adorable. There’s no fears when you place your love one under the care of this specific Standish village located on 1190 Adams street Dorchester. Feel free to try you’ll see what I’m talking about.
Cara Pickens Noble: I first visited Standish Village looking for a place for my mother. It was far and away the nicest place we visited-beautiful settings, great food, interesting programs but most importantly the warmth and welcoming staff-from executive director to cleaning crew won our hearts. Since then I have also experienced Standish Village as a community partner. If every community had a partner like this is would be a much better world.Patricia McCormack
Kathleen Clements: Standish Village community is warm, welcoming, professional and a wonderful place to live in beautiful Dorchester Lower Mills location. The staff consistently go above and beyond to accommodate residents. The Life Enrichment Director makes activities FUN at every turn and creates continual high level learning experiences. My mom has lived in this community for 5 years and could not be happier for so many reasons. There are many restaurants within walking distance as well as a local church and stores.I highly recommend Standish Village.
MICHELLE LAMATTINA: We visit Standish village a few times a year, residents are always happy, staff is extremely engaged and pleasant to all. Wonderful facility, they make everyone feel “at home”
marie williams: A great place, very clean, healthy meals, lots of activities for the residents there and the staff truly care about each and everyone of the residents as well as families that visit. We looked at other places for memory care but the Standish village stood out and we had my mom move in there this past summer. We did this whole move remotely as I live out is state and Julie, the exc director, helped to make this transition go over very smoothly as well as kept me up dated on the transition. I would highly recommend this place for your loved one that may benefit for assisted living and/or memory care!
Peter Guild: Standish Village is excellent. I have lived here for one and a half years.
Quynh Dang: Mom lived here for 5 years. It is a lively, welcoming place, where staff and residents are genuinely friendly. People are always hanging out together and engaged in activities. Standish is a much warmer atmosphere than most assisted living. Mom was happy here and thrived.

Landmark at Longwood: what do users think?
Jose Perez: The Staff & most of the workers are rude. Terrible service & if u complain they kick you out.
BEC Integrated Orders: If you are a vendor, DO NOT do business with this company. They never seem to have money to pay for their invoices.
Thomas Carbone: landmark at long wood, is a pleasant place to stop for a while before looking for a final stop, the food here is okay there's a laundry facility, pool table , activity room local stores near by
Joseph Mangan: landmark is open and there's plenty of opportunity to grow the people are congenial the head chef is amazing and all the staff are more then competent the housekeeping and maintenance staff is very on the ball landmark is a very pleasant place to live. fini
West Hiorth: The food is great and activities is interesting, my room is great, the place is newly renovated, we have a large court yard, and a smoking area the residents are pleasant and management team are magnificent.
Mark Golden: The hardest decisions you would have to make just got easier, If you are looking for a place because mom or dad can’t stay there anymore for any reason this could be the perfect place for them, there needs will be taking care of there new homes will be taking care of and your worries will be taking care of a well. I moved here just about 10 months ago after being in hospital for 3 months I needed a place to learn how to walk again, my medical proxy whom is an expert in senior care found landmark for me and it’s just what I needed your loved ones will get as much out of landmark as they want.
Barbara Bialick: Landmark at Longwood is a nice residence for people over the age of 60. You get an apartment in the big brick building with or without a roommate that they assign to you. The building also has a dining room, living room/library, an activities room and a garden terrace. There are threevery good meals a day provided at tables with your fellow residents, family style, with menus provided. There are people who get you any medicine you might need and do your laundry and there is housekeeping once a week. In the lobby down on the first floor, people wait to go to any medical appointments or programs they may go to or to catch the local shuttle bus to stores in the area. Thank you for reading this review. Barbara Bialick
David Groat: Around a year ago I found myself not able to live on my own any longer. I was just under 65 and very scared for my future. I was in the hospital, not knowing what would come next.Someone from Landmark Senior Living came by to see me.I was encouraged by what she told me. When I arrived at Landmark I found what she said was true. The property was renovated nicely. Everything was neat. There was a very large common area that had a fireplace and a piano. There was one wall with books and magazines to the ceiling. The furniture was new and comfortable. There was also WiFi in this area. The dining hall was modern with places for people with walkers and wheelchairs alike. I used a wheelchair and so this was important. There were three meals served each day and the food is good. The kitchen and wait staff is top notch and makes it seem more of a restaurant atmosphere instead of something institutional.I have a small apartment shared by two people. There is a small kitchenette and good size bathroom with all of the safety features I hoped for. The apartment and many of the other areas throughout the building has call buttons which could be pulled if assistance was needed. This brings a great feeling of security. The staff at Landmark from Administration to Aides is top notch. There is always someone to listen and to come to help you if you need it.My fears of the unknown quickly subsided and I felt a part of a new family. I am very happy to find Landmark and hope to live here for a long time.David GroatI am now 65. I have Bi Polar 2 Disorder and have C.O.P.D. Emphysema. I use a wheelchair and use 24/7 oxygen.
James David Wilson: I have been living at Longwood for nearly five years. It’s clean, comfortable, and easy to get around. The management is very focused on providing you with all the amenities and serving all your needs. It’s beautifully landscaped with seating areas and in warm weather they have cookouts. The help is well trained and caters to your needs .Housekeeping, laundry, and medications are always available to residents year round. In warmer weather day trips are planned to beaches, museums, zoos and shopping malls.In-house,you can interact with other residents to play bingo and other fun games, etc.I recommend it very highly and would have my own mother here.

Susan S Bailis Assisted Living: what do users think?
Iris Greeley: Susan silks li hung waawas a eminent woman in the assisted living community and her standards of care is represented at this facility.
Karen HALLORAN: Susan Baillis is a hidden gem in the City of Boston!Beautiful center and great staff. I would not hesitate to recommend!
Scott Corey-Dunbar: They take great care of my family member. He enjoys the aides, chef/food, nursing and exec team members. It's my experience that everyone is approachable and responsive.
MAT STRAZZ: Sure beats a nursing home, better than most rest homes. The location is ideal. your so near the Pru shopping complex. The MBTA MASS AVE station IS just across the street. Tons of local stores, banks, u name it close, truly walkable. If your independent but family wants YOU to be in some assisted situation, then this is the place for you. Food, at all these places are about the same, but they are working on that. For me, who cooks many of my own meals, the kitchenette is small, but with a microwave and two burners, I can cook about anything, from brownies to steak to chicken thighs, u name it I cook it in a microwave oven... guess I am expert. Since the man across the street, where I grew up invented the mini radar tube. and his home had the first prototype, that I got to use often....so with over 1/2 a century of using a microwave oven, am leading expert in using it to cook,

Compass on the Bay Memory Care Assisted Living: what do users think?
W Alves: My parents moved from their home in Florida to Massachusetts in September 2022. Their transition from independence to assisted living has been challenging; after an unsuccessful experience at a memory care facility closer to my home, Compass on the Bay welcomed them and with their knowledge and expertise they have given them (and me) the support they need to adjust and to thrive. It is truly a community--ALL staff work together to make the facility a clean, warm, welcoming home for residents—taking time to chat and responding to them with kindness, understanding and patience. If you are looking for a place for someone you love to be cared for well, Compass on The Bay should be on your list!
Bill Gehan: My mother has dementia and recently moved to Boston from NH. We visited a number of residences and she had an immediate connection with Compass on the Bay. It is a very pleasant and homey environment, and the entire team is caring and top notch. I can't say enough about the exceptional care she is receiving.
Allison Connolly: The facility is absolutely beautiful and welcoming on the inside and out.
Karen Ucuz: My Mother has been a resident of Compass on the Bay since August. From the initial introduction, we knew this would be the right choice for Mom's needs. The staff, service , care,, food , and the feeling of being home is what we hoped we could offer Mom as her needs grew more than we could handle. My family is at peace knowing we made the right decision .
linda goldberg: My mother is a dementia resident and my family is extremely pleased with everything that Compass offers. During this pandemic, Compass stood strong for their residents and staff and did an exceptional job. The one most important point for me is that I know my Mom is safe. My entire family, I am one of four children, would highly recommend this facility. And a bonus is the management team who is exceptional. The resident is the top priority! Thank you Compass for loving our Mom!
Angela Moore: I moved my mom to Compass on the Bay last June. She was down to 82 pounds, very disengaged and depressed. Now she is never in her room. Hard for me to call or FaceTime her (the staff ask her to return to her room so we can, without hesitation). She's gained over 10 pounds and is very happy!!! The staff are amazing!!! Peace of mind
B Boggs: Compass on the Bay is a very special place. The entire staff is exceptional! They are warm, welcoming and all work together to provide a wonderful environment.
LINDA CHARLES: I would like to apply for CNA position I

Goddard House Assisted Living: what do users think?
George Burdon: My grandfather has lived at Goddard House for a few years now, I genuinely think it has kept him alive in his final years. This is a man who thrives on human interaction, adored his family home and detested the idea of losing his independence in assisted living. My aunt researched and placed him at Goddard and I could not be happier. To provide some context, I have visited many homes of this nature in my life in the UK and USA. Most (and I mean no ill will to these establishments) feel like places you move to, to die in.Living in the UK, this year was the first time I was able to come visit him since he moved to Goddard a few years ago. The staff are wonderful (chatty, kind and interested in their residents), the building and facilities are top notch and well equipped and the food and activities are great. Residents were sitting in the reception eager to chat and open to newcomers, coinversing with each other in the hallways with their doors open, this is not what I am used to.My Grandfather loves people, loves entertaining and is nearing 100 years old. My fear was he would be staying in his room, eating crummy food and watching TV. The time I spent with him, we enjoyed chair Zumba classes, playing the piano and having an improptu sing along with passers by, writing poetry for workshops, watching movies with other residents... he was always checking the schedule and telling me he had a happy hour or an activity he wanted to do so I would have to visit at particular times. That is music to my ears.Goddard House has kept him and his mind engaged, comfortable (his room is well sized and very warm), allowed him to make new friends, play music to people and every single staff member is polite, professional and happy to be there.I want to get older so I can go to Goddard House and I am excited to return soon to see my grandfather so happy. Thank you Goddard House for keeping him in the picture and letting me forge more lovely memories with him.
Lilo Stainton: Congratulations - your search for the right place for mom, dad or any aging loved one could well be over. You have found a special place. My mom was at Goddard House for more than three years, during cancer treatments and the height of COVID, and it is truly amazing. Of course it is beautiful facility and in a great location, but mostly it's the staff. Almost every person - from those who take out the trash to the dining team to the nursing assistants to the executives - was kind and caring and made an effort to get to know my mom personally. I could text the nursing director at night or on weekends if need be and always got a response. Mom's death last year was hard on so many levels and now I find myself missing not just her, but also her caregivers at Goddard who were so important in the final weeks. They really do feel like family and am just so, so thankful she had that love and support when she needed it most.
christine scordato: I’m offering my comments in the spirit of making an always difficult decision -moving an elder somewhere new - a little bit easier. My beloved Uncle lived at Goddard House for nearly seven years and I can’t say enough good things about our experience - the staff, the programming, the other residents, the physical space and grounds are all top notch. As a frequent visitor (1-2/week), I had lots of opportunity to get to know Goddard House well and developed friendships with both some of the staff and other residents. Family is always welcome (with proper protocols during Covid) and the staff is great at communicating with family as necessary and always welcomes inbound calls and emails.Choosing just a couple of things to highlight, I’d have to choose the fabulous, warm, and kind staff and the stimulating, resident-centered programming they design. From a “Men’s Club” to the open Art Studio where residents make truly gorgeous art and have lots of laughs together to the nearly daily concerts and musical performances to the gardening program - these are just a few of the programs Uncle Tony loved and participated in weekly. Many of the ideas for programs are resident-driven which is also exciting and fosters friendships as folks share their talents and experiences. My husband always smiles when I say that I want to put our names in a list to become residents when we need support. He says, “I’m in!”
Jane Rosenof: My mother resided first in the Goddard House traditional unit and then in its memory care unit. She had a wonderful quality of life in both. From the caring and competent staff to the outstanding music and art programs, Goddard House is excellent and I recommend it enthusiastically.
Lally Susan: If they had a 6 Star I would chose that! They have truly wonderful caring staff. It’s not easy placing your loved one in a facility ,but we never once regretted it. She received the best of care and I never worried that she wasn’t being taken care of. A great choice! My family will be forever grateful to the Goddard House staff for taking such good care of my mother! Thank you Goddard House!
Tom Moran: My siblings and I moved two family members (my father and aunt) into Olmsted early this year, one shortly after the other. The Goddard staff were extremely helpful throughout the whole trying process and I've been impressed with their professionalism and dedication. I also appreciate their strong communication skills; they do an excellent job keeping family members updated, which has been especially important during the COVID pandemic.
Abby S.: Goddard House was the very BEST decision my mom ever made! There is so much I could say about this wonderful place that my mom now calls home - how wonderful and caring the people are, or how outstanding and clean the amenities, or how engaging and interesting (and fun) the programs are - but the main reason we love that our mom lives at Goddard is how happy she is and how much she is THRIVING since she made it her home nearly 5 years ago. She’s an incredibly social, intelligent and creative woman, so our concern was for her to continue to get that at the same level upon moving. The Goddard House has surpassed any expectations we may have had - and they offer her a way to actually do more than she has ever had access to previously in her life. It’s not only a relief to know she is in such good hands every single day, but it’s the best feeling knowing that she couldn’t have chosen a better place for vibrant living. I can’t recommend Goddard House enough for anyone looking for a warm, welcoming home filled with lovely people!
Susan Griffin: The Goddard House has significantly changed my mother’s life for the better. She was living independently, surrounded by many friends in Florida, but wanted to live closer to me, her daughter. We spent the better part of 4 years exploring assisted living facilities in Massachusetts. As soon as we toured The Goddard House, we knew my mom had found her new home. The common rooms are spotless; the furnishings and artwork are attractive and welcoming. Artwork by the residents is often displayed. There is a wide variety of programs to meet everyone’s interests.Movies, BINGO, exercise, jewelry making, art projects, current events, andconcerts in the back garden, to name a few. My mother is partaking in artprojects and other activities she never tried before. But it all comes down to the management and staff. Staff members have been there for many years – which says a lot. Everyone is friendly and genuinely interested in the health and wellbeing of the residents. The management sets a tone of inclusiveness, respect, and concern for all.Communication is frequent and transparent.Of course, the residents themselves are what makes the Goddard House special. My mom made many really good friends quickly and easily. The staff helps any new resident connect with others. This is a safe, clean, active place to live in and it’s FUN!
Amy Madanick: what an exceptional place! We moved my 83 yr. old mother here right before Massachusetts had to lockdown and everything was so uncertain and scary. Goddard House followed every precaution with communication and compassion. Although it would be many weeks before we were able to visit My siblings and I were secure in knowing my Mom Was being well cared for, thank you Goddard House I’m forever grateful.
Robert Mackerron: Fixed leaks
Stephen Bullard: Nice
Olayinka Shittu: Good facilities for seniors.
david kaplan: Wonderful happy place
Gary R. Brissette: An amazing home for anyone in your family that you love about and want them to be taken care of in the way that you would
Karen 'Kj' Herther: Goddard House Assisted Living Olmstead Memory Care community has been life-changing for our mom. It is a beautiful community with a rich history as a caring, engaging community. Highly recommend!

Providence House Assisted Living: what do users think?
E Y: After several phones calls to the marketing director and emails with no response, I have given up on Providence House. How difficult is it to respond to a consumers request for information. Maybe this facility is selective on who they allow in now.
Aaron Roberson: One of the most difficult decisions for a caretaker is transitioning a loved one from home into a facility. We feel blessed that we found Providence House, a hidden gem in Brighton, for our loved one. It’s a small enough community to feel like family. The rooms are exceptionally comfortable and spacious, be it a one bedroom assisted living unit or a studio in the memory care unit, and the food is better than good. There is great space for a variety of indoor and outdoor activities that are available daily. Moreover, the administrative team and staff are caring and responsive to the individual needs of each resident. After ten months, we remain pleased with our decision to become a part of the Providence House community.
Shaneka O'Neal: Providence House is more than your average Assisted Living facility. They also have a unit specifically catered for seniors with Alzheimer's and/or Dementia. My father was in the Traditional Assisted Living side for 2 yrs within Providence House. The facility is clean. The staff are nice and professional. I've never had any issues with them. They keep the residents active. They make sure the residents are well kept & groomed. They have a mini spa & beauty shop for the residents as well. There is a nice TV area, and more. The food is better than most Assisted Living Communities in the Boston Area. I've visited quite a few before choosing Providence House. Now that my father's condition has gotten worse, I'm thankful for the Memory Unit (Beechwood) on site. The residents receive the same care, but with more supervision. I recommend Providence House for anyone looking for an Assisted Living facility for their loved one.Edit: After my Father caught COVID and was transferred to LTC some of his things were stolen. I brought my issues forth & nothing. Even sent a picture of him trying on his new Columbia winter coat, which was also taken by one of their staff. Be mindful of your loved one's property while they're in the care of other's.
Ellen W: My parents lived there years ago and my mother-in-law has been living there now for about 5 years. The staff and other residents are kind and friendly. The building is well maintained and the location is convenient. We liked the more intimate size and it has a more boutique hotel feel.
Henry Diamond: My Aunt spent the last year of her life at Providence House. The director, Charles James, health staff and administration were most compassionate and a delight to work with. She had great care, and our family would recommend this facility in the highest.
Tracy Tompkins: We are so pleased our aunt has transitioned to Providence House. The staff are so warm and welcoming and we are confident she is in good hands and will be well cared for and safe. If you havent checked out Providence House for your senior family member I highly suggest you do!
Sean Caulfield: My dad stays here for his dementia care. It's a great facility that is centrally located in the city and provides ton of amenities for the residents as well as attentive assisted living care.
Michael Pappas: My mother’s assisted living was closing so she needed somewhere else to go; after looking at many assisted living facilities in and around Boston, The Providence House was hands down the nicest. Not only is everything neat and clean but they are also renovating the common areas too.The staff was extremely helpful in navigating all the paper work and state agencies pertaining to my mom’s situation. They truly went above and beyond to make sure my mother had a nice place to live. She has been there 2 weeks now, and continues to rave about how nice everyone is and the quality of the food!Thank you Providence House; we couldn’t have had a better experience!
Diana Turner: It was time for me to find a new place to live, and started looking. I checked various places and then, I found PROVIDENCE Assisted Living. It didn't take me long when i saw that's where i want to live. I can truthfully say there is no other place like it...One word...AWESOME...Awesome in a friendly atmosphere, I felt like I knew people and staff all my life as they make you feel like you are old friends! THEN, the food...never have DELICIOUS food like what they serve there!!Makes one feel like you've known the staff and residents all your life. One feltat home, before it was my home. I went back to the other place and immediately told them about my experience. Two people I told and they came and signed up,after they had the same experience. .
Regina Small: PROVIDENCE HOUSE VISIT:I'm a housing advocate who find housing for clients due to homelessness or a need for better living. In seeking a better living for my mother to live out the rest of her years with joy and abundance, I set up a visit at the Providence House in Brighton, that she mentioned to my sisters and I because of visiting a good friend of hers.Upon our visit, one could get a good sense of what was ahead just by entering the building and seeing the beautiful ambiance, and hearing the laughter of the residence in the communal area. We were greeted at the reception area where visitors have to sign in so the Providence Team know at all times who's in the building which is great for safety reasons. They have various activities that take place daily (featured in the lobby), a hair salon where they can get their hair done (for an extra fee), a gym area where they can exercise (being enhanced), and they get served three meals a day in a restaurant style dining room, linen table clothes, plates, silverware, and dinner served to them (with a restaurant style menu to choose from), and need I say, they're in the process of updating and painting the place. This place is Amazing! You feel at home right away, and the apartments are beautiful, well-lit with sunshine and everyone from the staff to the residents are friendly. My mother oooh'ed, and awww'ed the entire visit and just kept saying "I love this place". Needless to say, she ran into her good friend (who was amongst the laughter), and even met a women who she went to High School with in Jersey City, NJ over 60yrs ago and talked and held hands like they knew each other forever.I can't say enough about this place! This is truly a place of independent living and a place where seniors don't feel like they don't "belong" due to loneliness and depression from living alone, because they always have people around them, they have a sense of security, and live in a beautiful home where they're still living independently - studies show that if one lives a better life, they live a longer life! As a Housing Advocate, I recommend The Providence House!
Alejandra Carvajal: I highly recommend Providence House. My Mother has been a resident there for over three years, and especially during the Pandemic, the staff and administration have done an excellent job providing a safe environment for the residents. As stressful as it can be to have an aging parent, I have gained a tremendous amount of peace of mind knowing my Mother is in a safe, comfortable and very caring environment at Providence House. Thank you, to all of those who work at Providence House!
Bethany McEleney: I am so grateful that my dad lives at Providence House Assisted Living! The staff work as a team to provide a safe, happy community for the residents. They have gone above and beyond during the pandemic with communication to families and making this difficult time as pleasant for the residents as possible. I highly recommend Providence House!
Ellen Kaufman: Wow! What a great place. My aunt is there and they really take the time to know her, to talk to her and to help her. It is clear that the staff cares deeply about the residents. Recently, there was a COVID case identified and the community was in lock down. My aunt's younger brother was celebrating his 90th birthday. A staff member found a way to have her be in front of a computer (not her comfort zone) and participate in this occasion that was very important to her. They maintained safety and protocols and even on a Sunday afternoon, made sure my aunt did not feel boxed in or isolated but part of her family and a loving community. That is a true gift. To her and to all of us. We are very appreciative of this caring and thoughtful team! Thank you!
Joe Ellis: This is a great choice if you are looking for an assisted living facility for your loved one. The staff treats the residents very well and respectfully. The care is wonderful. Perhaps the biggest plus here is with the activities. There are many interesting, varied activities to keep the residents engaged, entertained, and socializing with fellow residents. So much more is offered here besides the typical, often tired activities like bingo. You and your loved one will have peace of mind and satisfaction with Providence House.
David Lee: Nice and clean facility. Great staff. Limited parking. Great living spaces for residents.
michael kelley: Rude staff,
Susan Klein: It has taken me five years to write this review. I move my mother up from NY to live at Providence House, where I thought she would be well cared for. I was very very wrong. She fell one evening and one of the nurses aids put her back to bed without checking to see if she was OK, and did not call to inform me. The next morning I found her not able to move and in horrible pain....she had broken her hip. The rest of the story is downhill from there. I would not recommend the care....
Pat Perry: A lovely facility with an engaged and attentive staff.
Jeff Ng: My grandfather has been at Providence House for a few years. The staff and care he receives is outstanding. I’ve personally had some meals with him there and the food is great. I have a lot of peace of mind knowing he is so well cared for.

The Linden at Dedham: what do users think?
sindy belizaire: Very clean and the residents are pleasant and upbeat. The staffs are incredible as well.
George Hanson: My mother came to the Linden following rehab for an injury. The staff is friendly and caring, they have great activities, and my mom enjoyed the food, I have slept better at night knowing she's in a safe and caring community.
roy robblee: I'd give more stars than 5 if I could!!!The staff in the Opal Memory Care facility at the Linden are wonderful in all areas. Last week, my wife, who is a patient, had visits from 3 separate groups of people. They ALL contacted me afterwards and told me how impressed they were with the care, compassion and love that the staff gives to the patients. They also commented on how nicely the facility was maintained and how CLEAN everything is.
Susan Barkan: The Linden at Dedham took wonderful care of our mom and allowed her to have a homey, nurturing, fun, and supportive community surrounding her in the last chapter of her life. We are so grateful for the support and love they showed to us/her family as well during this important time of life.
Martha T.: A Hidden Gem!The Linden is a Hidden Gem! It is thoroughly clean & tidy. The staff are incredibly caring and compassionate. I give a shout out to all staff -- administrative, front desk, housekeeping, facilities, dining services. It is evident the staff are happy & work well as a team. Having to suddenly make life changes for a loved one is very distressing, but I could not have asked for a more understanding and supportive team to work with than Donna, Mike, Elaine, & Danielle. They were instrumental in getting my brother settled into a suitable apartment for his needs and appropriate level of care services. The location is serene, surrounded by trees and woods in the distance where one may see a deer or fox on occasion. The Linden is a fabulous community.
Lexa Iantuono Sullivan: The staff at Linden truly care for their residents. We have seen first hand their kindness and compassion with my mother in law. Our family knows she is safe and well-taken care of. The staff is easily accessible and available. The Linden does an excellent job communicating, which is especially important give the uncertainty of these times. I want to thank Heather who is charge of the Opal Unit. She's always positive, helpful and genuinely cares about the residents. Elaine, one if the nurses, has also been extremely helpful. The place is clean, residents are given many food options and there are a lot of programs to engage residents. My family is extremely pleased with the Linden.
Karen M.: The Linden is a remarkable place. The staff is professional and knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to make residents feel at home and happy. Such wonderful, caring people who love making a difference in elder's lives. The facility is beautiful, clean, modern and set up for a great community living experience for their residents. We are so pleased that our Dad can be spending time in such a lovely place.
Sofia Glass: This place, Assisted Living, is amazing. Employees are very knowledgeable and friendly. I 'd recommend to those following this lifestyle, The Linden at Dedham.
Nicole Cummings: Our Dad has been living at The Linden at Dedham a for little over a year and he recently transitioned to the Memory care unit. We have been so pleased with the loving care he has received every step of the way. The nurses and staff are genuinely caring and help him have the lifestyle and experience that fit his needs and personality. The building and grounds are very well maintained. It is a beautiful home for him now that he needs extra care. I can not say enough about the support he (and we) receive.
Maureen Masters: I've lots of personal family experience with nursing homes, assisted living and the diagnosis of dementia. The Linden at Dedham is very good. My family member has resided there for almost 1 year. The leadership team at Linden is excellent.Covid has been extremely difficult for all of us. Whether it was at work, at home trying to educate our children or caring for our parents or grandparents. My family member has been married 63 years and never have they been apart for such a long period of time. Linden has done tremendous job managing the clinical side of Covid but also being transparent with communication and working with families to avoid contact, because that is the right thing to do and exceeding expectations to provide family members alternate methods to communicate.Heather the Manager for the memory care unit is compassionate, thoughtful and shares really nice ideas on how to make our family member feel connected without having contact. In the middle of the Covid surge, for my family member's birthday, she went above and beyond, on her day off, to coordinate the celebration and worked with the staff so my family member could open gifts via facetime with her family, playing videos we created and decorating her room. I genuinely believe my family member thought we were all sitting in the same room. It was fantastic.Elaine, the Nurse Manager, is always quick to respond to questions and provide follow up. I have been impressed with the nurses. Specifically,. LaDonna is kind, genuinely cares for each resident and is so good about reporting her concerns or needs of a family member.Danielle, the Director of the Facility, is responsive, takes feedback seriously and will promptly address concerns. The memory care has excellent program coordinators. Ashley and Nicole are energetic and work to keep the residents happy and involved in activities. Sometimes my family member just needs "some time" and they will just sit, rub her back and share stories. These moments cannot be underestimated on the importance of caring for someone with end stage dementia,Overall the nursing assistants are good. Some are outstanding, I am sorry, I don't know all their names. My family member lived in the same home for almost 65 years, she was "never going to leave". When dementia took it's grip and we had to seek 24 hour care I never thought she could adjust to calling Linden home. After a day out and having dinner with the family, when I bring her back, the nursing assistants will greet her. Most often, my family member will greet the assistant with the biggest smile and hug! Now, these individuals are like family to her. That's when I know it is ok!For any family who is going through the very difficult journey of looking for alternative care for your loved one, I would not hesitate to recommend Linden. No facility will ever be good enough for a loved one, but sometimes we have to make difficult decisions. You can be assured that Linden at Dedham is an excellent option.
Alexandra Alexopoulos: The staff at The Linden are wonderful and loving people. They make it a true community. Clean, Lots of activity and quiet time if you want. The facility is very clean, modern and feels like a hotel. You will not be disappointed.
Maryann Santisi: My mother has been there for several years and loves if. Keeps her social and honestly alive. We brought her home for several months and found she spent 16 hours per day in front of the television, sleeping and just downright depressed. Now she goes and goes and goes - walker and all. If she watches an hour of television a day, it is a lot. She is turning 90 in May and very happy. They go on field trips, have daily exercise classes, play bingo and other games, wine and cheese and entertainment. Her life is full and she is thoroughly cared for. Excellent facility and staff. couldn’t be more pleased.
Jessica Arber: Heather, the Resident Program Supervisor contacted our corporate wellness company to come on-site and provide chair massages to residents. We could tell from the get-go that the team at The Linden goes above and beyond to create a wonderful environment for their residents. Our massage therapist had a blast working with the group and Heather reported that all the residents had big smiles on their face after the massages!
Olivia Walker: The Linden At Dedham is great- my uncle loves the food and it’s very clean!! Steve, the sales associate helped welcome my uncle. He was super helpful and responsive. He also brings his little French bulldog puppy and everyone at the residence loves to pet her! (She’s a certified therapy dog, very kind) Highly recommend residence and highly recommend asking for Steve! Thanks 🙏
Brian Walker: Very pleased with the tidiness of the facilities, staff is professional and attentive.
Gemma Verdelli: It was a hard decision to put our grandmother into an assisted living community, but I am SO glad we found The Linden At Dedham. The facility is always extremely clean and you can tell the staff take pride in making sure the residents are happy and engaged in daily activities. Steve, our salesman, was so patient and kind, answering all of our questions. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable choosing The Linden at Dedham. Thank you all!!
Ikigai Collection: We have a great Aunt here and she is always actively engaged and has not had any complaints whatsoever. She always go on and on about what she has been up to. We are happy she is busy and not bored or purposeless. She has a lot of friends and this has been an A+ experience for both her and my family. We highly recommend the Linden at Dedham.
Heather Payne: Working at The Linden at Dedham was the best decision I have ever made. The atmosphere is so welcoming and the residents are amazing. I love going to work everyday and putting a smile on their faces!
Kelly Maker: I teach a art class here at The Linden at Dedham twice a month. The staff is so caring and the place always looks clean and professional! The outings seem like a blast and the residents always come down smiling! Great place to work for and seems like an even better place to live!
Donna Folsom: The Linen is the best....so caring about my mom. She has had a lot of medical needs lately and they have totally stepped up to the plate. She is again thriving in this supportive environment.
Patrick Macdonald: I taught CPR at The Linden at Dedham. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the community and even more impressed with the staff. All the staff I encountered and taught were professional and engaged. It was also really great getting to see the seniors that lived there smiling and doing all different activities.

Chestnut Park at Cleveland Circle: what do users think?
Sarah Willie-LeBreton: Great people, great food, great care, great activities and a sense of community in the heart of one of Boston’s most diverse neighborhoods. My family has been glad to share our parents with Benchmark’s Chestnut Park at Cleveland Circle community.
David Robinson: Excellent location and top notch care. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a supportive living environment for anyone seeking a senior community in the Brookline area.
Norma Rusch: I selected Chestnut Park primarily for one reason: the staff. They are kind, thoughtful, attentive, helpful, patient, cheerful, and observant. I visit my mother every day and have zero complaints. She adjusted beautifully to living in their memory unit. The apartments and hallways have large windows which help to make all bright and feel more like home. Cleanliness is excellent and the food is quite good too. I was reticent to move my mother to an assisted living, but it was necessary. I did so as soon as we both had our Covid vaccines. I feel that this has been a very good move for her. Again, the reason for this is the quality of the staff. It is the personal care and genuine interest in the well being of each resident that makes it feel like home. Plus I can bring my dog to visit and that always puts a smile on mom's face.
Kimberly Ong: Finding a new home for my grandma was a really difficult choice. Chesnut Park proved to be a great one. My grandma and my family and I had a positive experience there. The staff is friendly, positive, encouraging and patient with visitors and residents. I couldn't believe how calm they stayed with my grandma and her fellow residents, despite some difficult tasks and moods. She was greeted by name constantly as she moved down the halls, which I know meant a lot to her. They were responsive and respectful of my families requests and needs for my gram. They work hard to provide appropriate activity for the residents, keeping them moving and socializing to the best of their abilities. Whenever I visited I had to hunt her down! I might find her at: the afternoon movie, a discussion group, music therapy, snack time, sitting outside or getting her nails done. Then, even at the end when my gram passed, the staff was SO lovely. The managers met us at the door, expressed condolences, offering hugs and kind words. They had cleaned her room up, carefully arranged her so she looked as though she was sleeping peacefully (sounds weird but in the moment but that means a lot) and put out extra tissues, water, and chairs. They even asked if there was any staff she would've wanted to attend the services. It was such a touching gesture, for some who would otherwise not have many at a service I'm sure it would be especially meaningful. Overall, Chesnut Park provided a great experience for us during a difficult time, thank you.
Corrie Hermans-Webster: CPCC offers a great place for those in need of assisted or independent living. There are a wide variety of activities occupying the day and frequently performers from the outside come in to share their gifts.
Olayinka Shittu: Nice place to relax with your family and friends.
elizabeth boodhan: It's a very warm and inviting place for seniors
Esdras Joseph: don't like

North End Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center: what do users think?
genezy rodriguez: I worked over night the assistant don is very nasty with her attitude trying to argue with me over pillows that did not belong to me treat the staff very poor very racist
Brittany Roberts: Finding a LTC for a trach/vent family is so exhausting and hard. Please, do not settle for North end rehab. They are inconsistent, incompetent and are risking the lives of all their patients. Their lack of coordination, communication and availability has caused my father-in-law emotional and physical harm. He was there for maybe two weeks and went unconscious/seizing and rushed to the ER. His sodium levels were so low they barely could detect them, among other low lab values. The hospital called DPH to report their negligence of his PEG feeds or the PEG itself. Unfortunately, there was no other place for him so he had to go back. I had to do research to find emails for the administrator and DON. I sent countless emails and so many phone calls for them to gaslight us that they were going to investigate and fix the situation. My poor FIL cannot use his voice, he is can't move himself and they left his call bell light on the ground countless times. He needs PT and wants to do it but that department is completely unavailable. The nurses do not call you back so that you can ask what is going on. The administrator and DON changed out of nowhere and they don't answer either. They are letting him pretty much suffer, confined to a bed, when he is capable of so much more. He is back in the hospital with sepsis from pneumonia that they neglected to diagnosis. His labs revealed infection (and high risk for infections) and did not run a single test until 4 days later. I understand short staffing is hard to deal with but that is not the patients fault, and they are the ones suffering from it. If you don't want to do bedside nursing for needy patients then why are you doing it? My FIL is scared for his life every single moment of the day because it is in their hands. We have tried to find a new place but it is so challenge and leaves us to try and get things straightened out. If MGH doctors, nurses and pt's call you and are worried about the care your family member is receiving (neglect), then it must be even worse than we experience. How many patients are in the same predicament or worse? This place is going to kill our family and friends despite our exhausted efforts for change and proper care.
alma W: Enjoyed my experience. Staff is very pleasant and friendly. Clean environment. Everything looks in order
Mijanur Jowel: I understand you all reviewer who said about clean place. It is clean but caring for patients is not the right place where you would wanna leave your loved in this place. Just having a personal room is not why you send your family to this kind of rehab. You wanna look for what you wanna get help for your family. NO MATTER WHAT THIS REHAB WILL MAKE THEIR MONEY FROM YOU OR INSURANCE FOR THEIR CHARGES.STICKY THIS PLACE IS JUST BUSINESS NOT A QUALITY HELP YOU CAN EXPECT FOR YOUR IMPORTANT FAMILY MEMBERS. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW SOMEONE CAN GIVE THIS PLACE 3, 4 or 5 STARS? By giving stars those people must do not want their family around them so much so they can leave their families to this
Michael Sean: Conscientious staff and clean facilities!
Marie Bucci: Very happy with this facility. It is very clean and the staff are all extremely caring.
Natalia Ribeiro: Friendly staff.clean environment
Amy Stearns: Please do not send your family members here. I had the worst care of my life. This place is completely unsafe even DANGEROUS. The nurses unavailable and incompetent giving medication hours late and often the writing medication. Some , not all of the RCAs are rough and cold natured. Thr call bells we’re broken for so long they gave us a bell 🔔 you ring like a Christmas 🛎. The food was inedible and undercooked - again dangerous. PT AND OT was nonexistent. Everyone -the entire staff was unavailable almost always. Again making this place completely unsafe. I could go on and on but I think you get the idea and warning I hope.
Melissa Freitas: I’m extraordinarily disappointed by the quality of care my mother has received while at North End. It took over a month for the kitchen staff to consistently provide food that was compatible with her medical needs. She has missed several essential appointments due to failures to coordinate transportation or submit paperwork to insurance providers in a timely way. Overall communication within the organization and with families is poor and as a result, my mother’s ability to receive timely treatment for cancer is being jeopardized. When I expressed my concerns, the staff member I spoke to resorted to gaslighting me and told me that my mother’s doctors have not said that her care is being compromised. Don’t send anyone to recover here unless you don’t care about them at all.
Meredith Sabins: The food was so authentic and delicious! I grew up in an Italian neighborhood with parents who were Irish and English. It was a saving grace to eat at all of my friends homes. The aromas filled their kitchens and and their fabulous food filled my belly. Thank you for bring back all those wonderful memories with your delicious Italian recipes.Meredith
thelovely617: I really like the place. It was very clean. Quite and calm. And very professional. I like it there a lot.
Manohar Rao: No idea who gave this facility 4 stars. Not at all deserving. From the front desk to nurses station, no one picks up the phone almost all day and if they do they are very dismissive. Care is inferior quality and they are extremely short on staff. Food is not that great as some reviews state. Therapy is non existent. Very sad state of affairs.
Sharon Dicarlo: My brother has been a rehab patient at North End Rehab for about 2 months. I find the facility to be very clean and the staff to be congenital and helpful. My brother has a private room that is spacious, which is nice when we visit him. The rehab specialists have gone out of their way to keep me informed. My only complaint is the limited parking available, however, that is part and parcel for the North End.
Adelmo Casoni: Folks have really shown my mother a lot of compassion with her care at the North End Rehab. People really seem to truly care about my moms well being. The facility is very clean and the meals she receives are hot and nourishing. I would highly recommend this facility for your love ones.
J Rail: Please don’t put anyone you care about in this facility! It’s the worst place with awful employees who don’t care about patients.
Garrett DiCarlo: The staff prepared a room for a birthday party for my Uncle who has been in the facility for a couple of weeks now. The people working at North End rehab went out of their way to show my Uncle some love. It was a great experience.
Cathie Mouncey: My sister is in there now. Call buttons have not worked for 3 days....this is unacceptable!
John Myers: Considerate, competent, friendly staff; excellent physical therapy.
Kelly Hubbard: One of my friends is staying here and had her own spacious room and nice bright sunny big window. When I checked in the man at the front desk couldn’t have been nicer and explained the whole checkin process. Upstairs the staff was super friendly as well. Thank you for all you do for patients and keep up the great work!
Laura Cintolo: My mom is there now for rehab and she is getting awesome care. The staff is so compassionate.
L. P.: Never in my 30+ years as a healthcare professional have I seen such a disorganized and passionless facility. The administrative staff are clearly not in it for the patients.I don't even think you need a college degree to work there, just a fancy title and an expensive business card. I don't know why they even bother having a phone number or an email address on them because they NEVER respond to any of your messages. We are only on this earth for a short time... We are human beings, not just another room number. We deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.I hope that someday one of their loved ones are treated the same way that they treated mine and maybe, just maybe they'll realize that paychecks are not more important than people. When looking at facilities in the Boston area, please skip over this one!
