O Ya: what do users think?
Junji Morokuma: If you understand what O Ya means, this is exactly what we have experienced tonight. Literally a What?! taste palette explosion on top of very tasty Japanese seafood dishes and absolutely further more. Of course you would dine here every day. However, the jolt of your much needed and unexpected experience beyond already delicious Japanese seafood is right here, and only so.
Ava French: O YA is an exceptional restaurant that offers a unique and unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant’s ambiance is elegant and sophisticated, and the food is absolutely outstanding. The dishes are beautifully presented, and the flavors are perfectly balanced, making each bite a tantalizing experience for your taste buds. But what really sets O YA apart is the outstanding service provided by their servers, and in particular, the amazing server Jessica. Jessica is a true professional, and her knowledge of the menu and the sake is truly impressive. She is attentive, friendly, and goes out of her way to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. She is a true asset to the restaurant, and we highly recommend that you request her as your server when you dine at O YA.Overall, we highly recommend O YA for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Boston. The food, ambiance, and service are all outstanding, and the restaurant is truly a gem in the heart of the city.

Rue D: Not worth. Our waitress was unpleasant and the food was not worth the price point. Came here based on the good reviews hoping for a good experience and left underwhelmed.
Lenny Euler: NOT WORTH. I have enjoyed quite a bit of fantastic sushi in NYC. O Ya is not even close. You deserve so much more for $300. This is not it.Let's start with the (few) positives. Much of the sashimi was decent, the mushrooms + "potato chip nigiri" were fun, desserts were good. If they charged $100 for this half of the menu I wouldn't object.HOWEVER -- Nigiri were entirely disappointing. Miniscule portions, which is not a problem per se, but the nibbles of fish were so overwhelmed by the extra ingredients that you hardly tasted them. Uni nigiri had the criminal addition of large pieces of lemon zest, which overwhelmed the delicate flavors of the uni completely.Ambiance and service were not what you would expect of a high end sushi restaurant. Not unfriendly, but felt more like a bar. Also, although food was prepared directly in front of us at the counter, it took a circuitous route back through the kitchen, rather than being served fresh by the chefs. For $300, you can literally travel to NYC and back and get better omakase for half the price. Don't bother with O Ya
Steven M: Loved it
Javier Rosa: Great food, good vibes, great service!
Megan Sorel: Food was insanely good. Wide selection of sake, whisky and other liqueur. Great atmosphere, amazing staff.

Monir Monir: In the pantheon of fine meals there’s great and there’s those that transcend greatness and indelibly stamp themselves on your brain. O Ya is among the latter. Among the offerings some integrated caviar, sea urchin and wrapped up with a wagyu beef course. Our waiter was fantastic. He was very helpful with our sake pairings. I like to go nuts with my credit card on anniversary dinners and O Ya was worth every penny. I would gladly go back and it’s a must try for anybody who loves sushi.
Genwyn: An amazing experience in the heart of Boston. The service was enjoyable and lively, the food was divine, and the drinks kept flowing.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Betsy Feldman: Amazing flavorsBeautiful presentationEverything perfectWonderful, entertaining evening with much personal attentionOur waiter, Tim, made the show perfect.Haven’t seen a real professional waiter in a very long time; knowledgeable, informative, well versed, helpful ……. can’t say enough about this guy!Only feedback would be to change spoons; they are textured and too thick getting in the way of the food. If that is the only criticism from me, O Ya is right up there with the best of the best. It was an awesome evening!!!!Thanks to everyone on the O Ya team (and I mean “team”) for making my niece’s 59th birthday extra special.Betsy FeldmanVegetarian options: One guest in my party has dietary restrictions and another just a few dislikes/preferences. Accommodations were easily made by the kitchen. Very impressive, greatly appreciated!

Parker's Restaurant: what do users think?
Chris daCamara: If you’re going to offer Chicken and Waffles at the price point Parker is charging, the Chicken had better be amazing… it wasn’t.My dish came out with three pieces of chicken, full bone-in - two very small breasts one small drum stick. All three were undercooked. Of the parts that were mildly edible, the dredge coating was underwhelming at best and mushy, not crispy.I was offered anything else on the menu as a replacement dish… I opted for the Waldorf salad. Also underwhelming. The good news is the famed Parker house rolls are still life-alteringly delicious. With so many other dining options for brunch in the area, I’m regretting having selected this one for the party who accompanied me.
Luke Richardson: Better fast food chicken than other places.
Richard Greensted: This has fallen from the heights. Eggs Benedict were overcooked and actually rather unpleasant. I was told I couldn't have a bloody mary because the manager didn't approve. Eventually they relented. I love this hotel, but Parker's is to be avoided.Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Melissa Gautier: The breakfast was delicious
Jonis Shahidi: Food: 1/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Will Langston: Somehow we missed that it was in a hotel. It looked like the best breakfast where we were. It was. The service was great, the food was great. I would never have made French toast out of a pretzel, but now I know how good it is, so I will. The bathroom is upstairs.
Johan Chabrel: Traditional American fare in elegant setting at Omni house hotelFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Chris Fortunato: Out of this world breakfast in a location full of history. The Parker rolls and boston cream pie were both invented here and are a must try.I also suggest the corn beef and hash. While not as impressive as the rolls or pie, it was great. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and unlimited refills. The coffee wasn't the best, especially company to the numerous shops in the vicinity.
David Matke: The food wasn't very good, especially considering the very high price.Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Susan Decasale: Had breakfast, was good but ordered Parker house rolls and boston cream pie, both stale, sooooo disappointed 😞Food: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Marilyn Barba: Excellent food. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Our breakfast was amazing. We’ll definitely be back!
Jason Macey: This restaurant serves the original, best Boston Cream pie. It's not much of a surprise that the hotel and restaurant were favorites of the writers who frequented them over a century ago, nor that it is a must-experience today.
Jasmine Kings: Happy with all the food and the staff was excellent.
Kayla N: Service was fantastic. Food was delicious. It was a little pricey but that’s to be expected for a more upscale hotel restaurant. Their prices matched the quality and service.Only complaint is I wish they had a more options on the menu
Karthik Murthy: I Was in town for meetings and stopped in to try the Boston cream pie before my flight. As soon as I said I just wanted to get dessert, the server's attitude changed completely ( There were empty tables everywhere! I would slightly understand this behavior if the place was packed....but it wasn't). 5 mins later, I was served a Boston creme pie that tasted like it had just barely defrosted. Parts of the cake still tasted like they were frozen. I guess they wanted me out of there as fast as possible.Incredibly underwhelming cake and disappointed in what felt like snobbery by the waitstaff.
Tim Samuel: Quite frankly, terrible food. It is overpriced merely because of the status and history of the building that it is made in. Breakfast potatoes were bland, did not see a shred of seasoning as far as my eye could tell. They also upsold us beverages, involving us refusing it the first time and only accepting it after we were asked again "Are you sure?", because it seemed as if it was provided complementary; unprofessional and tacky. Now for the famous Boston Cream Pie, this thing is dry... the whip cream that it was accompanied with also tasted like something you would get from the supermarket. Not impressed.
Andrew Mueller: Review is for the Boston Cream Pie only. It's phenomenal. Got one shipped to Northern VA via Goldbelly. Pricey. AF!!! But we'll worth it. The cake itself is a warm milk sponge and is FANTASTIC even after being frozen. The cream portion is rock solid, and then that dark(ish) chocolate topper? Woo boy...glad I splurged on it.
Anastasia Balandina: 5 stars, 10/10, will recommend and go again. Gorgeous restaurant inside the hotel, very nice staff, and the food is delicious. Had the French onion soup and the Boston cream pie. Absolutely great!
Michael Spero: Great breakfast. Boston cream pie is definitely a must have.
Christine M: Oh mannnn that Boston Cream Pie is magic!Everything else was deffo mediocre & way spendy (ie BLT), but I'd come back for that superfluffy cake again & again ❤️The space feels way elevated bordering on stuffy, but we were advised by the host that there is no dress code, soooo...Sweaty, dehydrated, post-Freedom Trail miles, 137% humidity, shorts/tees/(empty)CamelBaks cake it was.Supersweet service, despite our conditions.

Tommaso Giampapa: Amazing seafood. You can tell it's fresh and the recipes are great. The mussels I got were so good. Interesting artwork and history all over the walls. The restaurant has tons of old timey history, and it's very interesting to see it evolve with the city of Boston.Dietary restrictions: Didn't have an issue with a peanut allergy.

Stuart Boffin: We booked a table in advance and were guided through to sit by two staff which we did. The internal maitre d then approached and barked orders at us stating we should have informed her prior to sitting which ruined the experience before it began. They need to alter their tagline from 'Boston's Oldest' to 'Boston's Rudest'. Average and overpriced food too. Avoid and go to nearby Quincy Market instead.
Patricia Liminier: La maison est très belle, la serveuse est sympathique…MAIS le repas ne vaut absolument pas le prix payé. Même le saumon n’est pas bon et la salade Caesar est médiocre.

Steve: TOURIST TRAP! When I walked in and asked for a food menu because I was interested in a lobster roll the moment I saw that they were $40 I ran out of there immediately almost screaming shenanigans. As a guy who is from Maine if you want good lobster, go anywhere on the coast of Maine Don’t pay $40 for a mediocre lobster roll.
Daniel Askari: Wonderful lobster rolls, topped with the best oysters I’ve had yet. What a wonderful experience . The history of this place is breathtaking and overwhelming. Definitely a must when in the area.
Derek Cheung: Sat at the raw bar, was genuinely impressed with the oyster shuckers skills as I seldomly shuck oysters for my family and it's not easy and he made it looked easy, praised him for his skills and tried to start a conversation asking how long he's been doing this for and his response with a cold rude tone was, since 10am... I clarified my question and his response was... 1 day... me and my buddy looked at each other and know we're in for a pretty fun meal...The 2 dozen oysters and clams was fresh but given the attitude, it didn't taste good at all and although we were still hungry, we didn't order more...He was definitely not someone that's anti social as he had no issue talking with other customers... maybe because we're asian... Anyhow, other customers get a big thank you with a smile when they get their bill, so I paid attention to it when we asked for ours and not to my surprise, just handed the bill to the table without a word...Will never go back and will definitely not recommend this place...
Dean Gray: Great Staff.Great Food and Drink!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ben McGuire: I didn’t have high expectations for the food since I knew this was pretty much a tourist only attraction. The food was actually really good. The oysters were phenomenal, better than the other oysters I ate while here in Boston. I would’ve been disappointed if they hadn’t been good, as they’ve been doing this for almost 200 years now. The corn bread was good. The clam chowder was warm and hearty, perfect for a cold, rainy day. I thought it was neat that they had an exclusive lager from Sam Adams. Our server was great. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. A must if you are visiting from out of town.
Marc Schnur: Clam chowder was not too bad. Bloody Mary was not good at all. Poor Man's Lobster lacked salt or seasoning as well as the Grilled Scallops and Shrimp dish. Ice tea was good. Would give it another try if I was in town, but wouldn't be my first choice. Waiter was great.Parking: Drove around for 15 minutes trying to find parking.
Leslie Bottigoni: The ambiance and clamChowder were the only thing I would visit for- I had the lazy man lobster dish, my husband had the shrimp scampi, crab cake and stuffed clamTo startAll were underwhelming, bland and not at all worth the high price chargedThe lazy man was served with inedible rice and more bread crumb than lobster - it was like a dig search to find the lobster and unfortunately found a shell in the dig lol - my entree came out still frozen in the centre - had to be returned and they brought out a new one for me -Should have asked them to nix the breadcrumbs .My husbands scampi was tasteless and bland. The stuffed clam was again - mostly bread crumb and the crab cakes were also not fresh as far as we could tell. So disappointing-Save your money and go to red lobster instead. Our bill was 350$ and it was easily one ofThe worst meals we had all stay in Boston.Go in for a drink and the chowder and save your $ for a worthy dinner outOur friends had the seafood platter - everything was deep fried and tasteless. They were equally disappointedServer was pleasant
Serge Mikertichyan: Good Lobster, waiter was helpful. Sides were decent. They give cornbread to start.Recommended dishes Lazy Mans's Lobster …More

Stella Lee: Very nice restaurant! Our second time we dined here- and they did not disappoint. Food & service were excellent! I appreciate how they split an appetizer/dish for you to share with another. My only complaint is that the tables are pretty close to each other and you can hear conversations from others.
Eleighna Tate: My husband and I came here on our first year wedding anniversary and were very happy with our entire experience. From our greeting by the hostess, all the way through to the end with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on our dessert plates. The atmosphere was lovely. The food tasted incredible. We would definitely return.
Alex Zav: This place is good but not shocking. I assume the initial idea was great, but everything spoils careless and cold American service. Douglas Arevalo: Reserve a table! This restaurant has a nice, dim, and posh ambiance. The service was great and the staff very friendly. The food was also very delicious. Portions were just right. High-end but you definitely taste the quality. I recommend the truffle Mac and Cheese, light, pasta had great texture, very well balanced ingredients, not over the top cheesey.
Tim Zhang: Overall a great experience.Ordered French Onion Soup and Escargot as appetizers, wine braised short rib as entree. The soup was flavorful and the pastry was hot and puffy with a hint of crispness on the surface. It is one of the best I’ve had in the city. The Escargot was a little bit bland for my taste but nothing wrong with it otherwise. The braised short rib was absolutely wonderful. The meat was cooked to perfection with just correct texture and firmness to pair with rich and fruity Bordelaise. That being said though, I still question the very existence of those two random onion rings that do not contribute much to the dish. Not at all a deal breaker though.Would be happy to visit again for other dishes.

Daniel-Eric Wirtz: Unfortunatly our evening at Saltie Girl Boston was horrible. We had a reservation and were send downstairs. We stood there and no one cared for us. We had to ask a waiter were we should sit. He went to the hostess which then arrived and only then were we seated. Then we ordered oysters as Appetizer. We wanted two of each. Instead we got less then ordered and pointed that to the waiter out. He then brought us a plate with the missing ones. The problem here was that they weren‘t placed clockwise like in the other oyster restaurants in Boston ( like the little whale or Selected Oysters )so we didn‘t know which oyster we were eating. As we went through this course, they already brought the Entrée which is just not acceptable. The waiter didn‘t seem to understand why we wouldn‘t want our hot meals mixed with our order from the raw bar. He acted like we were screaming at him which we weren‘t. Then, which seemed to be the restaurant manager, came to our table apologized and took the warm dishes away for later but explained, that this were normal here, like Tapas. We are from Europe. No original Tapas restaurant in Spain would mix hot tapas with cold ones. These are always seperated courses. As we had finished our Oysters we got the Entrée which wasn‘t that good. The beef of the burger had no seasoning and no taste at all and the Pasta was over seasoned. When we ordered the check, they had charged us twice the main courses which they then changed after complaining. It gave us the feeling that they wanted to fraud us.Overall our stay at Saltie Girl was an horrible experience which cost us a lot money which wasn‘t it worth.
Veronika Chula: Best lobster roll you could ever have!
Shiva N: The mood here is amazing. The drinks are even better! Recommend the basil cocktail.
A A: Came in as a walk in and given an awful wonky table. Host did not even care to fix it. Waiter never showed up. N one brought water. Place needs improvement in management and organization. Go elsewhere and save your money.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Allie: Food was pretty good/decent, atmosphere is awesome and fun. Definitelty make a reservation because the place gets packed. Service is average.
Linda Joy: Bartender unfriendly. Worst cocktail sauce ever.

N: Food was good and service inside restaurant too. But the front desk hostess was absolutely awful and needs a lesson in customer service… or a job that doesn’t involve speaking to people. The restaurant mistakenly changed my reservation time without my request and rather than work to accommodate and take accountability on the error the hostess was extremely rude and dismissive. She would speak over me and tell me “move aside” and that whatever time in her system is when the table will be ready, regardless of whatever email/text proof I had on my end.Bad attitude but the rest of the staff made up for it. Good job to the managers for rectifying.
Matthew Naneville: Came here at 9:30 PM with a party of 5 to get a late night bite. We were told that only the bar was open and they were serving a limited menu until 9:45 PM. When we went to the bar area, we noticed there was a booth large enough to accommodate us; however, when we went to sit down, we were told the table was reserved, which given the fact that it was 30 mins before close was hard to believe. We ended up leaving and not eating there, but spent close to 15-20 minutes outside of the restaurant trying to figure out where else to go, during which time no big parties went into the restaurant, which really made it seem like they were lying, being lazy, or probably both. Their late night menu was also limited to seafood cocktail type food, so don’t expect to find their famed lobster roll if you go there after 9 PM. We were very disappointed as this restaurant was on our list of places to eat at while visiting Boston, and this was by far the worst experience we had at any restaurant or place during our entire visit. Their lobster roll may be one of the best, but their laziness and shady behavior left a permanent sour taste in our mouths.
Rob Wienert: No expectations walking in. Walked out having enjoyed Fried Lobster and Waffle. Fantastic!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Fried Lobster & Waffles …More
A Stenft: Hate to leave a negative review but this is far from friendly and from from accommodating. Not only did they push our reservation back 45 minutes, they were extremely aggressive towards allowing one additional guest at the table. They had asked the person to leave and were not willing to add a chair when the restaurant was filled with open seats. They clearly aren't out to make sure diners have the best experience possible.
Allen C: Good food, nice place to get together with friendsFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Kylie Odparlik: This place was delicious! All the food we had was great. We had a sample of all of their oysters, burger, and lobster roll with salt and vinegar chips. I love being able to try different oysters and tasting the difference in flavor profiles. Also, the lobster roll was perfect served warm with butter on a toasted roll. The prices are a bit high but worth it.

South Street Diner: what do users think?
Julianna K: Service was great, super nice people. My pancakes were tough.. I put my full strength in to cutting those bad boys. Warm syrup didn’t even soften them.Crispy Bacon and my boyfriends French toast were delicious
Veronica M: The cause of being an out of towner and making too many wrong turns led me to this magnificent gem of a diner. South Street Diner has everything right going for it. There was a line to enter the diner at 2 am and doormen to facilitate a smooth and steady transition into the diner. The food is very fresh, looks great and tastes amazing when you crave a late evening 2am breakfast meal. Last but not to say the least, from the line cooks to the serves were excellent. It has The most chill vibes from their synergy of providing above and beyond style of excellent service. I was very happy just watching the ladies work like the ants do without any qualms if someone accidently ordered twice. You see everything being cooked in front of you and the sounds and smells of sizzling food orders were making me crave for it even more. It was just fluid and everyone got along in harmony with a high volume of food orders being requested and everyone sang along with the music that was jammin' from the jukebox. The customers were singing in tune from separate tables. Beautiful! I wish all places were like this. It has the real family feel while dining there and not just the feed the people and grab your cash kind of deal. The prices are affordable $-$$ for an individual order. This was an accident that turned into a blessing. I was sad leave to continue my journey home because a few more wrongs turns were awaiting me ahead. LolPlease check out South Street Diner and support these hardworking ladies because we do not need another amazing such as this one closing down. I am happy just remembering this diner. Thank you to everyone working at South Street Diner for being the best at what you do.It is a small diner that is worth squeezing into. It did not have a ramp or wheelchair accessible entrance. A few steps to enter the diner. Street parking only.

dongying jiang: Very tasty, delicious food. The mussels tasted somehow better than other places I had before. The lobster is also very sweet, but after we take it back with a to go box. The claw tasted bitter. I guess it only taste better when they first serve them to you. The chowder is also amazing, full of ingredients, and you can taste the texture.

Sara Hannon: Chowder was delicious. Server was not attentive and would do well with more training. Main entrees were not as described. Tony Huynh: Great food, and great view, and best of all no wait time. We tried the clam chowder, fried clams and lobster roll. The clam chowder is one of the best clam chowder I ever had. They give us a generous portion of clam chowder for around $8. The chowder was thick and creamy and full of clams. The dills also add a nice touch to the dish, it compliments the chowder without overpowering it. The fried clams were really good, the clams were tasty and juicy. However do be careful with the clams, we did get some clams that taste kinda odd, and 2 members from our group get stomach ache after, that might or might not be from eating these clams. The lobster roll is pretty good with a generous portion of fresh lobster meat. We paid around $70 for the three dishes. Overall it's worth it to come here for their clam chowder and the great view

Marie Kern: Amazing chowder!! If you get anything that is for sure what you should order. Unique dill flavor incorporated that made the chowder top notch in our book. Also ordered the lobster roll and that was very good. One thing to note is that it comes cold, although they were willing to make it hot for us which we took them up on that offer. Hot lobster roll was great and one of our favorites in Boston so far during our visit. Prices for chowder and fish was all very fair. Drinks are definitely on the more expensive side and there is currently construction going on with the front of the building so there was noise from that so request to be seated near the middle.

Twitchy: Good place for late night food in downtown Boston. Arriving on a late flight into Boston, there's not a lot of full service restaurant options in the downtown area after 9 pm. At Bostonia Public House we had the hot lobster roll, pasta vongole and fish & chips. The food and service were very good. As an fyi, it does get pretty noisy once the live entertainment starts.

Neptune Oyster: what do users think?
Alex Lundwall: One of the best meals I’ve ever had. I seriously can’t believe I spent $11 on a piece of and I want to eat the loaf and I don’t even care for bread. The pemiquid mussels are unbelievable. I’ve spent many vacations at pemiquid and the taste just sent me back there like the scene in ratatouille.
St.PeteNative: This was recommended by a local concierge. We really loved this place as it placed us in what felt like essential Boston. Historic neighborhood ✅ Thick accents ✅ Great hot lobster roll at a pricy $38 each. But hey you will pay that about anywhere in the city might as well enjoy the packed Boston atmosphere of this charming restaurant.PS Try the Johnnycake appetizer for one of the most unique seafood dishes you will ever have.
Han Jiang: Only order shells.
Danijel & Hannora Jurkovic: Oysters were amazing. The other seafood was average, overcooked lobster.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Chris Nickles: The best lobster roll in Boston and generous portion for $40(mkt). Much better than Row 34. Excellent Oysters and great service.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Vicky C: The johnny cake is sooo good. Friendly service.Recommended dishes Neptune Johnny Cake …More
Tony Huynh: The food at Neptune Oyster is overhyped and expensive. We wait around 1 hr and a half to get inside. The space is small and crowded with barely any moving space. We got an oyster tray, clam chowder, butter lobster roll, razor clam and Johnny's Cake. The oysters were good but it wasn't that sweet, and it cost around $3-4 per oyster. The Clam chowder is the most watery chowder I ever had, there were clams but not many and you have to really fish for it. The lobster roll is decent with juicy lobster however there wasn't much flavor in the lobster roll. The razor clams were overcooked and chewy, and the flavor wasn't that good either. Finally the Johnny's Cake, we also added lobster to it, it wasn't bad but it's just standard, nothing special about the cake. The total cost was around $180. Overall I wouldn't go back again, the food wasn't worth it for the long wait time and the high prices.
Micheal Abboud: Delicious delicious!! Best restaurant in Boston if you are a seafood loverEverything is excellent, specially the tuna tartare is unbelievableHighly recommendFood: excellentPortion: greatCustomer service: excellent.Ambiance: casual and relaxed.Prices: fair.Cleanliness: Adequate.
Gajan Sivapathasundaram: I’d also recommend this place for LobsterRoll ! Excellent food!I’d suggest getting there early to get a seat, especially if you’re in groups as the waiting time can vary between 15-30mins.
Richard W: To tourists: out of all the sit-down meals I’ve had in Boston, this is the only one I chose to return to within the same trip. Just skip the clam chowder. The wait time can be long, up to an hour during peak times, but it’s worth it. While standing in line, you can watch someone shucking oysters in full view—live entertainment. These are the movements of someone with many many years of experience.Service is extremely warm and friendly. The wide selection of oysters did not feel overwhelming because the waitress narrowed it down for newly seated patrons.Even though I’m not a fan of raw oysters, I enjoyed these due to the especially bright mignonette. The johnnycake was warm, soft, comforting, sweet but not too sweet, topped with smoked fish that sounds like an odd pairing but works. I’ve never had anything like this before. It makes me want to come back and try other interesting things on the menu, perhaps in a future visit.Edit: on my second visit, I had the clam chowder and octopus. Octopus was extremely tender, well-charred along with the vegetables, and bursting with flavor from the romesco. The clam chowder was okay; I felt I had to order it because Boston, but there are so many better things on the menu.
Haein H: We stood in line on a chilly Saturday evening for over an hour. We got sat at the bar and were presented with a menu that describes where the oysters are from and what flavours you can expect from each one. The oysters themselves were really fresh and one of the best I’ve ever had, but it was still really overpriced and I didn’t like how we couldn’t make reservations in advance.
Brennan Rosales: The weather was perfect so waiting in line was no problem. The oysters were fresh and delicious. The hot Lobster Rolls were pretty much perfect. Friendly service great wine selection. Very cozy seating. We were a party of 3 sharing a 6 top with another party of 3 but it was fine. Definitely an experience and worth the wait!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Christina Huang: Great spot for lobster rolls and other seafood dishes. A variety selection of oysters!
Saud: I waited for two hours, and they kept skipping me since I was dining alone. At the end, I was surprised by how bad the lobster roll was.Food: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Caitlin McPheron: Super cool spot with amazing oysters. Clam chowder was phenomenal as well. We went on a Wednesday afternoon and there was a small 5-10 minute wait. Highly recommend!
Justine Collins: This place is unbelievable - and worth the long wait! We got here 45 minutes before they opened, and we were the first ones in line, but everyone else shortly followed - so make sure you get there early if you don't want to wait at LEAST an hour for a table. This restaurant's food may be one the very few times for me where when tasting the food, it was an EXPERIENCE. The Johnnycake was out of this world - I have never in my life tasted anything like it and it's so hard to compare, but it was mouthwatering. We also had the oyster piggybacks and crostini which were incredible. Oysters were so fresh. We also ordered the lobster roll which came last, and honestly - the preceding food was so magnificent that it made the lobster roll taste like any other lobster roll. My recommendation is to come here for their appetizers first, oysters second, and if you're still hungry (which I doubt), then get a lobster roll. They will fit every person at every seat available. The restaurant is small so it does feel a bit crammed, but it's very well managed and efficient nonetheless. Overall, 10/10 dining experience!
Brian Wong: Best lobster roll in Boston. They pack a full 8oz of lobster in the roll. The cold mayo is the way to go.
Nicholas Cooper: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Crab Claws, Shrimp & Grits, Maine Lobster & Sea GreensMore
Ronald Cheung: Another must hit place when every time in town. With the taste of hot butter and generous potions of lobster, you don’t wanna miss the hot lobster roll. The other dishes which some folks missed is the fried clams, the clam is big and fresh, and they season it just right and never overcook it(at least my last 10 times visit in last few years)Remember sparing some time for the long waiting line outside the restaurant door, an hour at least if you are lucky.
Erica Reetz: Great service and delicious food! We had oysters, the clam chowder, fish & chips, and the hot lobster roll. Fantastic flavorsFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
