The Clubs at Charles River Park: what do users think?
Drake S: It's a great gym but the music's too loud, especially in the back room with the machines. If you bring your own headphones, you'll still hear their music. It's kinda hard to concentrate. Hopefully they can turn it down a little!Edit: wait nevermind they turned it off I guess?
Olivia Romano: With a MGH employee discount, this is a great deal. Would highly recommend TJ as a personal trainer!
Amfar Arda: It was big enough and organized and clean
A McDonald: I go here for the indoor pool. It's maybe 15 meters? 3 lanes. Noticably shorter than half olympic. If you're near a YMCA or one of the university pools those are probably better for serious lap swim, but this is serviceable, super convenient, and not busy at all on weekday mornings. Have to reserve time in advance; half hour blocks. Rest of the gym seems nice. Lots of MGH folks and an emphasis on personal training services.
Robin Mayfield: The Best!!!
Julie G: Charles River Park is a relaxing health and fitness oasis in the center of the city with two pools (typically with multiple free lanes), excellent classes, trainers and equipment. Although it will undergo outside pool deck renovations soon, it is maintaining interior pool access and swim times/classes. I recommend the water aerobics sessions for low impact/high resistance non-stop fun! It's a pleasure to see families enjoying time in their cabanas - often returning year after year to commune and barbecue poolside.
Best of The Best: Positive:CommunicationGreat place and clean when i go there almost daily.
Jeremy Gartland: The indoor pool is pretty small, very much looking forward to the outdoor pool when the weather is warm. Staff is really friendly, lots of equipment as well. It's a little chilly in there these days however it's tough to find a lap pool that you get a lane to yourself.
Alan Li: This gym is located in the basement with most of the gym equipment as outdated as the facility. Not only that, once I canceled my membership, they continued to charge me two weeks after and when I reached out for some clarification, they responded in a very passive-aggressive and rude way. For the hefty price you pay for the access to this subpar gym, I would recommend using that money and finding a way better gym for half of its price. The only reason I didn't give this place a one star review is because the trainers are nice.
Austin Halani: Good
Andrea Fajardo: I guess it's ok for the membership price? The pool is pretty small for lap swimming. Has an 80s feel like that John Travolta / Jamie Lee Curtis movie. Staff was nice, tons of lockers. The clients tho... A lady kicked me out of my swim lane even though I still had 4min left. I guess you can't control rude Bostonians from showing up in public places. I personally wouldn't recommend this place at least for swimming.
Samuel Lopez: Everything is open and ready for muscle building.
Ramil Rahmanov: Good place
Carla D'avanzo: Been there for two years now, i love Adam’s classes. Great outdoor pool in the summer
Diane Brackett: It's kind of a dumpy-looking gym but they keep it very clean, the staff is nice, and the classes are awesome! Overall worth the membership, even though the hours are somewhat limited.
Saif Al-Enizi: Absolutely love this place. The staff are just amazing, the group fitness classes are excellent, the pool options all year round make it my favorite gym. Have been going almost daily for 3 years now.
Eustace James: Nice and clean gym, the staff are wonderful.
Matthew Tung: Really great rates for Partners employees! Everything you'd want in a gym, really.
Justin Alves: Great atmosphere to work out or hang by the pool
Christine Foster: $25 guest fee. Water is clean and refreshing.
Donna Debellis: Love it

Esplanade Outdoor Gym: what do users think?
Ghost Apollo: There needs to be wider bars, can’t do stuff with these narrow bars
Victor Osorio: Decente
Victoria B.: Awesome outdoor gym space with a great view. Single pull up bar where you can do muscle ups!Have to cross over onto this trail from one of the bridges. The one close to the Esplanade (Silber Way Overpass) has stairs, others farther away are ramp only.
Masahiko Takinami: 大自然の中体力づくりができる。
Mario Chamorro: A good gym but the pull up bars have been lowered so you cannot hang correctly. Frequently full, it needs more pull up bars.
Sayed Mousawi: Lift until someone loves you
Michael Neas: One of the best and most known outdoor gyms in Boston. Super friendly and strong people always around. Best view in the city to work out next to. Go out there and get stronger! Highly recommend if good weather 💪🏼 💪🏼 💪🏼
Elvis Felix: Best spot to workout
一只小松鼠: 介地方有一排长椅,特别适合晒太阳看查尔斯河滚滚东流Has many long chair, good place to enjoy🌅 and 👀⛵
Stormer Santana: A great outdoor work out area on the Charles. The area is about a 5 min walk from the Mass Ave bridge access. The workout area has two pull up bars, sit-up area and matted ground. Great spot to stop during a run!
Gaby Cotter: Simple and practical.
Rustam Kovhaev: Great place, great people hang out there, and I think it is actually better than Magazine Beach Outdoor Gym!

Beantown Bootcamp Personal Training: what do users think?
Rick Miles: If you want to work hard, be held accountable and see real results then I highly recommend Beantown Bootcamp.
Tess Bohenko: John is amazing at what he does and his classes are great! His energy and humor really keeps you going when you don’t think you can push any harder. Such a great gym!
Kaylee Chinchar: Best Bootcamp you will ever take . Even if you are a beginner John is always willing to help teach you and reach your goal. Highly recommend. I’m still sad I had to leave because I don’t live there anymore !
Thomas Riedl: Awesome class, fantastic trainer, great burn :-) Especially loved the diverse exercises training outdoors! Forget about Barry's and Orange Theory, this is the real deal!
Lauren Goverman: Awesome boot camp class! I started Beantown boot camp four months before my wedding to get in shape. It helped me lose weight and get the results I wanted in time for my wedding! I know every time I go, I will get a really challenging work out whether it be running oriented in the outdoor class or doing tabata like circuits inside. The other members are very athletic and help push me to work harder. John Wayman, the instructor, is fun and helps push us to do our best. He is also very understanding and has refunded me classes I had to cancel last minute. Highly, highly recommend this boot camp!
Cassie: No fluff, just a great workout with some of the best in the city. I’ve been training with Beantown Bootcamp for a year and I’ve gotten the best results in my life!
Angelique Richardson: These guys can be intimidating but it is definitely a workout! They also offer free sessions around the city in the summer which are always convenient and fun.

Barry's Boston Downtown: what do users think?
Rebecca K: Be warned: arrive with a large water bottle already full! This studio has no water bottle filler, so you have to ask staff to fill it for you behind the smoothie bar. It seems really odd that a luxury workout facility would not provide water for people to fill bottles, given the sweaty nature of the workout.Otherwise if you are extremely busy and don't want to think about your workout, this place is perfect. Show up a couple of times per week and you will get in great shape, as the workout includes strength training and cardio. It's great that you can "reserve" a spot in advance in case you want to be near a friend.
Liam: Thank you for being a staple of health in my life
Mandy Liao: I come once a week or so. The instructors are great - they’re very welcoming to first timers and will walk you through the class. I know I was intimidated the first time since Barry’s has a cult following! Renovations were recently made to the front but the locker rooms still desperately need a touch up. Half the lockers are only on one hinge and 2/4 showers in the women’s locker room aren’t working. And one of them has the worst water pressure that I feel like makes me stay in there longer since I can’t get soap off of me!
Jed Paul: The workout is challenging. 5/5
Alec Papazian: Best staff best people
MEF: My experience at this studio was disappointing. I’ve been to Barry’s studios around the world, and this was probably the worst.Starting with the workout… unfortunately, it wasn’t energetic and challenging like I’ve come to expect. The instructor (Greg) didn’t have great flow, the music was so-so, and the studio was way too hot.The locker rooms also felt dated and were missing items I’ve come to expect in Barry’s locker rooms (i.e. blow dryers).I’m a big fan of Barry’s and make an effort to visit new studios when I’m in a new city, but I wouldn’t recommend this studio or instructor to a friend.
Mark Catolico: Good class. Compared to the UK studios, the changing room facilities were not the best. Limited room to change, lockers not working, 3 shower cubicles, & toilet not clean.
Michelle Ai: Great Barry’s location.
Manpreet Kaur: Amazing workout with some of the best instructors!
Torrey Ah-Tye: Lots of points
Prachi Jain: If gentrification was a gym, it'd be Barry's. There was nothing special about the workout that warrants the price (I get it.. they take up prime real estate so their rents must be very high). The music was incredibly loud-I don't love having Justin Bieber blasted in my ears since there are like 8 speakers and all of them are next to the treadmills. Talking about treadmills--why am I paying someone to have me workout on the treadmill for half the class? Maybe accept less students per class, have them ALL workout on the ground, instead of switching back and forth between treadmill and bands/weights. This place sucks and clientele is pretend bougie.
Phu Mai: The best most efficient use of your time. Get in, run and lift for 50-60 minutes and leave drenched in sweat and feeling accomplished. Repeat as often as necessary to see real results. Caution: this is not for the faint-hearted so come willing to give it your all.
Daniel Poston: One of the greatest locker room facilities of any Barry's I've been to.
Gustavo Herrera: The workouts are challenging but not worth the price. The music is still extremely loud, way beyond OSHA and NIOSH recommended levels. Gyms need to understand that extremely loud music does not equal more motivation, it equals hearing impairment! For the Butts & Legs session, I asked Garrett (the girl) to turn the volume down a notch. To my surprise she said I CAN'T. Told me to get some earplugs instead. What a way to please customers... try wearing earplugs while sweating like a pig, it's so uncomfortable an not hygienic.
Mykola Po: Cool place, good classes, feeling fit after first workout
Ting Sung: Love this place!! Kicks my butt Everytime but I always leave feeling super accomplished!!
Arthur Penas: Great atmosphere, excellent juices
Michael Katz: I was bored with the gym and needed something fun, upbeat and yet still got me moving. Friend told me about Barry's and was hooked from the first session. Instructors are friendly, helpful and motivating - high-five as you enter and leave every class - and my favorite is Christina. It's an hour that flies by so quickly and you feel tired and good after each class. You can either split your time and do half treadmill and half floor exercises or spend the full hour on the floor using weights, bands and benches to work every muscle. I give each session a 10, but the locker room is small and overly crowded when one class is leaving and another starting - advice would be to come early to use the locker room when it's quiet and then stretch while you wait for your class.
Duncan O'Brien: Tough, but good. Excellent instructors and facilities. Well located.
Fergus Hurley: Believe their marketing: Best workout in the world!
Matthew Murphy: Best workout in Boston

MYSTRYDE South Boston: what do users think?
Abigail Rezendes: Great workout and awesome staff! Highly recommend!!!
Caroline: I love mystryde! Would highly recommend to anybody. Classes go by fast and accommodate all fitness levels.
Haleigh Doherty: The instructors at MyStryde in Southie are the best, they really build a sense of community through their classes. The classes themselves are great too, I always leave feeling like I really gave my all and got the most bang for my buck.
Hannah Walsh: I love mystryde!! I’ve never been a runner but the classes here are the perfect balance of running and weights and I always leave feeling great. I also love how you can take it at your own pace but they also get you to push yourself. I highly recommend to anyone looking to get in shape!
Morgan O'Connor: I’ve loved the mystryde classes I’ve attended so far! The class format makes everything go by quickly. I’m not much of a runner on my own, but running in class with good music and the energy from class is great!
Tawnia Marguerite: I did a class on Saturday morning at 7am and so glad i went. The class was AMAZING!! TATIANA JAROSTCHUCK made my mindset turn from i just want to get my workout done for the day to i cant wait to go to her next class. I mean lets be honest here…. Sometimes those early morning classes on a weekend are hard and so easy to say forget it!!! It was greatbecause the combination of the workout i feel it hit everything AND i was sore (i knew i got a good workout), the “ in it with us attitude” and making sure our form was correct and funny at the same-time. Thank you MYSTRYDE for hiring the best if the best TATIANA** !!!! Cheers, Tawnia
Juliana Martins: My friend recently took me to a class at MYSTRYDE in South Boston and I instantly got hooked. Love the mix of HIIT and running! Plus everyone has been so nice and welcoming. Can't recommend this place enough!
Emma Blackney: MyStryde is such a great workout! Throughout each class, The instructors are constantly switching it up so you never get bored and are always moving. This class is great even for people who are intimidated by running because you’re usually only running continuously for 1-4 minutes. Anyone can handle that!
Nell Sandvos: MYSTRYDE is awesome! The app is easy to use and the schedule is great - you can almost always get into a class as there are tons of stations. Every instructor I have had has been great. 60 minutes goes by quick and I love it!!0
Logan Roise: Enjoy the classes here. Wish there was bigger locker room but living 5minute walk away doesn’t make that too big of an issue.
Rachel Redmore: This place is great! The instructors are so welcoming and cultivate an environment that isn’t intimidating. The classes fly by and I always walk out feeling like I got a good workout in.
Katie Seaver: I have had such a positive experience at My Stryde! Classes are energetic and such a solid workout. Also great community of people. Highly recommend!
Kyle Fitzsimons: I absolutely love MyStryde! As a runner I love the format of hills and sprint training on the treadmills combined with the weight and hit workouts on the floor for a full body conditioning. The studio is perfect for all levels, if you are just trying to get into shape, workout often, or training for a race!
Nora Patterson: Great Workout!
Anna Godin: Mystryde South Boston is my favorite workout spot! All of the instructors are amazing and always pushing you to your limit! Shout out to my favorite instructor Lauren, she is the reason I am a weekly runner!
John Veale: Great workout! Amanda is a great instructor. Highly recommend for all
Ashley Allen: Love this workout!
Dan Beckham: Great instructors, equipment, and clean facility at this location. Not a bad way to burn a lot of calories in a short time!
Claire Miller: Had an amazing experience at MYSTRYDE, highly recommend this studio. Love their class options and Haley is an incredible instructor. Great music, clean space, tough workout. Such a fun environment!
Christine O'Donnell: Such a great workout - love the classes and instructors I've taken so far and can't wait to try more!
Meghan Reilly: It’s taken me over a year to find a go-to gym nearby and couldn’t be happier to have been referred to MyStryde. Trainers are amazing, helpful, and so friendly. The classes are always challenging and never the same. Check out MyStryde, one class and you’ll be hooked!

Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center: what do users think?
Kazi Mukitul: free for Full time students. Amazing place for fitness exercise and games.
Ben Senderling: It's a good gym. But they're doing some equipment cleaning and renovations and appear to not be bring back the 110 and 120 lbs dumbells. Those were a significant reason I switched to this gym.
Jonathan Nash: Great facilities, excellent equipment selection.
Bob Kao: Nice gym and swimming pool
Youssef Ghobreyal: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Chris Chang: Please state that you're not open on Google too.
Omar: Awesome gym! Loads of equipment and with 20,000 SQ feet you won't be disappointed. Of course around peak times you would normally find a line for the core lifts( bench, deadlift and squat) but with two floor of equipment even a indoor track?! Love this place!
Sage Holloway: Too crowded. Generally a nice space but I can almost never do my workout plan because it’s overly crowded and not enough space/equipment.
Mikhail M. Nitko: Hi-- I am actually part of the staff at BU and use this center, and I want to note a few things:1. There are staff-only locker rooms, which by my experience are used 80% by staff and I'm not sure how some of the younger patrons of these got the keypad codes to get in. Its my only reason for 4 and not 5 stars.2. Your BU Blue Cross/Blue Shield health benefit can be used here and will reimburse $150.3. If you don't buy a locker membership, finding a locker during a crowded time (4pm+) can be tough, but not impossible.4. The equipment is new and quite good, but be mindful that these are kids you're working out with, some of whom were in highschool the year prior, and many will not know gym etiquette about wiping things down after use, or not starting a workout infront of someone using the wall mirror for their workout. And other small nuisances.5. The sauna is located in the locker room for the pool, but bear in mind that it is dry, the temperature control is outside the room and I think goes only to 130 or so, and is a bit temperamental (in the men's locker room), and more importantly-- there is no water to place on the stones. So the students/staff get water from elsewhere and bring it in water bottles to place it on the stones so the room has steam. So don't expect an authentic sauna experience at 180 degrees, and ladling water.6. The indoor track is really nice, and rare, and I am super-grateful for it because treadmills are so boring. But take note of what I said in point #3-- you're also sharing it with kids who don't know gym etiquette yet, and will not read the signs that say that on specific days of the week you run/walk in one or another specific direction around the track. So you will run into them, and will need to correct them, but so far all have taken the correction in a friendly way.7. Some locker-room showers do have broken soap dispenses that don't work despite being full, so you'll need to be aware and bring your own.Otherwise the facility is plain great -- clean facility, new equipment, good airflow on the running track, minimal college highjinks from the students that are confined to the locker room.
Joseph Walker: Great facilities, excellent equipment selection. Only complaint is the Men's locker room could use better ventilation, if you catch my meaning.
Chuan Hu (Archuan): I come here at least twice a week! Good facilities and friendly staff.
Dave Bedard: First rate
Sarah Bella: too crowded, but nice
Xiangyi Meng: One of the best things of being a bu student.
Desmond Molloy: Parents/community members, please take care using facilities: FitRec has at least one employee facing criminal charges for indecent exposure.
Mariusz Kaczka: I climbed in this gym when in Boston; reasonable prices and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it :)
Eric Lazarian: Plenty of parking, not too expensive, machines are new, great track. Lockers suck, little floor help. Good location.
Meifeng Jiang: Best. Good big pool
Agent MeatBun: Such a nice place to work out.It has the best equipment, there should always have enough space and equipment for u.
Robert Gerstner: The Fitrec has been an amazing part during my studies at Boston University. It's a great place to meet and talk to other students from BU and the building offers everything you need for doing great sports (perfect for swimming, climbing, running, weight lift, soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, squash, dancing and much more ...)
Pengcheng Zhou: Best University Gym in Boston Area.

MYSTRYDE NORTH END: what do users think?
Victoria Rossi: I recently started attending classes and I am obsessed! It’s always been hard for me to start new fitness classes because I find it can be intimidating. When I arrived for my first class the instructor showed me how the treadmill worked and explained the structure of the class. I instantly felt welcome and comfortable. The workouts & class energy is so motivating and there is an assortment of different classes and class times on the schedule.Highly recommend!
Victoria Liquori: Great workouts with great instructors. These classes are for people of all fitness levels and abilities. Everything is modifiable. The instructors are super encouraging, but also ask about any injuries at the beginning of class and are not overbearing. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good workout.
Maggie Mollaghan: Love MYSTRYDE and the running/ fitness community that comes with each class!
Jackie Kokomoor: MYSTRYDE is the place to go. Smaller class sizes, motivating and knowledgeable instructors, and a vibe that gets moving first thing in the morning fun!
Ellie Miller: Great workout, better than barrys
Madeleine Molleur: I never thought someone like me, who isn’t a great runner, would love a class like this, but I thoroughly enjoy it! Class feels like it flies by, but definitely leaves a long lasting impact and is very humbling. Definitely recommend it to everyone, not just runners!
Tiffany Byrne: MYSTRYDE is the most amazing work out. Full hour work out! I’m a mom and all the times works for me. The gear and the deals are amazing. 10/10
Maria Rago: Amazing workouts, the instructors are so energetic and push you to do your best. I always leave feeling like I got a great workout in
Chrissy Schmitzer: MyStryde has restored my love for running. The classes are designed for beginners and advanced runners alike. The classes go beyond your run with strength and stretching. The instructors make a point to know you and cheer you on!
Kelsey Doherty: Great workout- these classes supported by great instructor staff are always what you need them to be on the entire spectrum of what your body is capable of that day. As someone who is returning to running after a long injury and hiatus, I was intimidated to go to a running class and it has been far from my worry.
Amanda Ek: Love the Mystryde experience! All of the instructors are very friendly and bring the energy. Additionally, the studio is always extremely clean. Couldn't speak more highly of Mystryde and this is coming from someone who isn't a "runner"!
Matthew Rice: Great classes with a good mix of pure running, pure strength, or both. Instructors are good as well and each has their own style. You can also adjust the difficulty of the class to your personal fitness level so you get a great workout regardless of whether you're an elite athlete or a newbie.
Nicole Kousmanidis: MYSTRYDE is just fantastic. Unlike other studios in the area, MYSTRYDE did not shorten the length of their classes after COVID. They still have 60 minute classes and you work the entire time! They don't cut your time short, which is so refreshing. They truly make it worth every penny! The coaches are fantastic and it truly is such a welcoming community! It is not cliquey at all!
Ariel Schuman: MYSTRYDE is an awesome work out. Everyone at the studio is super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I've done similar workouts before but I love that MYSTRYDE isn't intimidating. The way the class is leveled makes you feel strong and powerful - regardless of your running experience. You aren't made to feel "bad" for not hitting a certain level because of the ranges they offer. It's never boring and I leave feeling incredible! I can't say enough good things!!
Elyssa Carlson: I absolutely love MYSTRYDE. By far the best workout I’ve had from any class I’ve taken so far in Boston.
Breanna Arnold: I am so happy one of my friends referred me to MyStryde a few weeks ago. It has been my favorite workout class in Boston!! The instructors have all been amazing and you can do everything at your own pace.
Tatiana J: BEST workout ever!!
A K: This is not a gym for running. They expect you to follow the class routine and they do not like people who are doing their own running routine. I will not go back.
Noemi Jiminian: Positive:Professionalism,QualityGreat workout, and even better crew. Definitely recommend if you want a bit of a challenge.
Emily Centrella: Positive:QualityMy favorite workout studio in Boston!!! The classes are challenging, fun, and it's a welcoming community. 10/10 recommend to anyone in the area!
Katherine Lombardi: My favorite workout class in Boston! The instructors are amazing. You’re able to go at your own pace and get out of the class what you put into it. You don’t feel pressured and all the instructors I’ve had thus far have been super high energy and great at really motivating you throughout the class. I look forward to each and every class!

Barry's Boston Back Bay: what do users think?
Audrey Hall: Loveeeeee this location. The staff really made me feel at home. Next time I'll buy a barrys boston shirt and take more classes when up here agin.
Ali Z: Awesome place to be at
D B: Do they have sauna?
Sasha Bolotova: Best Barry’s location I’ve ever been to! Friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructors, and very clean facility with all the amenities you need. Overall great vibes the moment you step in the building for your workout!
Syed Sherazi: Nice place.
April Clark: Awesome.
musaab mondani: Great Experience, Beautiful Staff
Riley Sullivan: This location is very convenient for me. It is in the heart of Copley Square. The workout's are always great, but if you're a first timer make sure you tell the instructor ahead of time that you are new so you get a lay out of the space and the flow of the class. Locker rooms are a bit hectic before and after class.
Ziad Reslan: Of the more than 20 Barry's locations I've been to in the US and abroad, I'd rank this one in the lower middle of the bunch. The men's locker room doesn't even have deodorant, you have to write down your shake order pre workout as opposed to just say it to the juice counter folks as at other locations and the staff generally are not the friendliest - all in themselves minor complaints until you remember you're paying $32 a class!
Katrina Ryan: Great gym in terms of the staff & coaches, but horrible location, hence the reason I took off 1 star. Don’t bother coming here unless you can walk or Uber or come to an early class (which I normally do). Parking near this location is an absolute nightmare!! There’s no relationship with a nearby parking garage for validated/reduced parking (as other gyms in similar type areas with minimal parking do), so you have to fend for yourself in finding metered parking. The owners should really make an effort to put such a program in place, as there are parking garages in the area.
Steve Sheinkopf: If you really hated yourself, you could work yourself out like this.....Barrys takes the extreme to another levelBarrys is a high intensity work out split between treadmill and weights. Every day has a different concentration like Monday is arms and abs, Tuesday is lower body, Wednesday is chest, back and arms, etcIf you haven't run on a tread at a 8 percent incline, run very hard for 2 minutes or sprinted for 1 minute, then be preparedThe workout is tough, but varied. You never do the same routine twice. Your muscles and endurance are constantly being challengedThe instructors are all hard core and excellent. They are not above swearing if necessaryIf there is one downside, there are 50 people to a class, so if you check your own form unlike a 1-1 personal training sessionBut if you want a challenge, then Barrys is for you
Danya Li: Love working out at Barry’s! Dan DiStefano is an amazing addition to the Boston team and I look forward to taking more of his classes!
Amanda Atkins: I was bored of my own workouts and decided to see what the hype was about - it’s incredibly inclusive regardless of your fitness level, body shape, or comfort working out around other people.I have fun working out here, and I’m always feeling it for a few days after. 👌🏻
Michael Katz: I started going to Barry's in Downtown Crossing a year ago and still look forward to my next class. Many of my favorite instructors from other locations are now teaching at the Back Bay studio. Old, young, male, female, everyone is always welcome. After being bored at the gym and working out by myself, I discovered Barry's and now have a fantastic, high energy instructor and class of like-minded attendees to keep me excited about working out and push myself to give 100%. What's not listed on their website is the great community of people they draw. The classes are always fun and sweat inducing, but the high-five you get walking into class reminds you there's a class of people cheering you on.

BodyScapes Fitness Longwood: what do users think?
Daniel Kim: As mentioned in others' reviews, this gym is the only fitness center in the area. The facility is overall outdated. During peak hours around 5PM, there's almost always a wait time for many of the free weights. If this were a $30-$50 per month type of gym, the overall quality of this gym would be expected and acceptable. Hence I think this gym is overpriced for what you get. They need to get more free weights/benches/squat racks and update their equipment to justify their price. Or make better use of the large space they have by moving some of the cardio equipment, etc. But given this is the only gym in the area, the lack of competition basically allows a continued flux of members without other options.
Ali Sendil: I went to this gym for 6 months since it was next to my work. Overall decent gym and good staff except one trainer who warned me for “speaking on my phone too loud”. I am definitely not a loud talker however i might have done it unconsciously, idk. when i asked him if there is such a rule in the gym, he didn’t even look at me and said “i don’t know, need to ask my boss”. He was rude especially considering he talks very loudly in the gym with his “bros”. but this was only one guy.
Barry Tseng: The most crowded, overpriced, gym I ever been to. And the equipments are so broken and old.
Alina Qasim: I had a ClassPass yoga here and enjoyed it (even though it, annoyingly, started late). However afterwards I went to the front desk to get an idea if I did want a membership there and the man at the front desk was so unhelpful. He just gave me the rate and I tried asking what else comes with the gym and he said “basically just the classes”. Didn’t tell me what the classes are, didn’t offer me a tour or anything. I would’ve considered a membership but it doesn’t seem like a place I want to spend my money
Heather Durrell: Visited with a day pass while staying in the area. Very helpful and friendly staff. Good variety of equipment.
Mike In Boston: Great location if you're in the longwood area often. The gym has a decent selection of equipment and has ample space. I deduct 2 stars because of the dirty locker rooms. There's always paper towels on the floor by the sinks, toilets are often dirty, and soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower are often broken, or worse, the tops of the dispensers are open and who knows what's gotten inside those containers and mixed into the soap/shampoo. Also, there's no obvious bin for putting used towels inside the locker room. To me it appears like maintenance/cleaning is done just once every couple of days or less.
Musaab T.: Lovely gym in the LMA
Joan (Supercat): This gym is great for location and the only gig in the area. The staff are friendly and sympathetic to things, like having half the treadmills broken, and the lockers too. The showers are ok. Overall decent, but for this price point I would expect functioning equipment.
James Watkins: Nice people in the back of a laboratory building. Pretty well equipped.
Andreeyoga Namaste: I gave it 2 stars for location. Not many classes. Basically no advanced yoga offered. Management does not really care about the members or the staff. And the pay is very low.Having previously worked for fitcorp I was grandfathered in when BodyScapes bought the club. The quality went down very quickly. I had many students who loved my classes. But the pay was too low for my experience.
Josh Grinberg: Ok equipment but very expensive
Ada Shaw: Large spaces and plenty of equipment. Only gripe is that they are always low on wipes
Osutin Heizu (Jodi): I had a similar experience to Scarlett: This gym will ignore your attempts to cancel your membership and will continue charging your account until they have bilked as much as they can from you. If you join, make sure to pay with a method which lets you contest post-cancellation fees.
Derek777: Decent overall gym. No parking. Very small with limited equipment options, but you can still get in a good workout. They offer fitness classes of varying degrees and difficulty levels. Unfortunately the one on Beacon Street closed due to its inability to recover from the pandemic, so this is the only option for members who live in the area. The people that work here are very nice, helpful and have great attitudes about helping others achieve their fitness goals. The treadmills are older and a few are broken and have been for many weeks which makes me think that they may not be open for much longer.
Jamila Abubakar: Critical:Communication,Professionalism
Scarlett Tomorrow: Avoid this place! Charge you after the membership termination!I canceled my membership last year, but they continue charging my credit card for 12 months. Talked to the manager. The manager was very rude and refuse a refund. He said they could not find my cancellation form and my membership was never cancelled. But the next day, when I asked the front desk to check my membership status, the front desk told me my membership was terminated last year. The manager still refuse to issue a refund. If you want to join this club, make sure cancel your credit card when you terminate your membership.
Matthew Dorman: Got a membership when I started my new job at Dana Farber. The gym is outdated, overcrowded, unclean, and the quality of equipment is far behind what the same money can buy for another membership elsewhere in the city. The only plus this facility has is the location, as it provides convenience to employees and students that work/study in the Longwood area. Not worth the money and I would not recommend to anyone frankly.
César Palacios Ordonez: Amazing and clean place
sbwonderr: Very clean, good upkeep, a bit pricy but will be worth the cost when amenities are open
Stacey King: Bodyscapes Longwood is a fantastic facility, and very much needed in the Longwood area. It has a nice range of equipment, as well as a studio area that you can use if a class isn't in session. Everything is clean, and the locker rooms are very well kept, with lots of good amenities. I have also used the Cambridge location which is good too.
Terrell Moon: Great place to work out. I go in the mornings because it's less people. Its not as big as a planet fitness but it still has good equipment.. shower, towel service and personal trainers
