Toro: what do users think?
Ida Li: Heard about this restaurant from a friend! Great place for having conversations over a light meal and some drinks.Food overall was delicious. Portion size are small particularly because it's a Spanish tapa style meant to be shared amongst the table.Atmosphere was beautiful. I highly recommend getting a seat outdoors for the summer. It's much roomier and comfortable. You can definitely also go in the winter but it'll be really cold! It's a bit on the pricier side but it's a nice treat.
Owen Tredennick: Asado de Huesos was one of the best things I have ever tasted. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, so mix it up!Will be back again and again…and again.
Caitlin McPheron: Authentic Spanish tapas style restaurant. They offer Iberian ham, manchego cheese, bocadillos among other Spanish staples. Great Spanish wine selection as well. We ordered asado de huesos, jamón ibérico, queso de cabra, and maíz asado for two people and it was plenty. Service was great and atmosphere was cozy. Highly recommend.
Dustin Maneethai: Excellent tapas served fresh. The paella was definitely a star but it's quite filling. For two I would recommend the paella and perhaps 3 tapas dishes. The service was excellent. Cristian Suarez: Because of how good the tapas was, I’m giving it a four star. But considering how low-key trash the drinks were, I’d give it a limp 3 star. Fun atmosphere though.
Chingsung Chang: Tables are a bit small. Food is good, but be prepared to spend a decent amount. Overall I do think it is a bit on the pricier side, but there's enough on the menu that's unique. The paella was a tad disappointing though, especially for a Spanish placeFood: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Patatas Bravas Fried …More
Jing Wu: Worst Manager!!! Waitlist shows around 45 minutes, but We have waited for 90 mins with no calls or messages. When we asked them, they said they had sent the message, which we didn’t receive it. The solution from manager is waiting another 120 minutes. The most ridiculous solution ever heard.
Alejandra Ortiz: We shared 4 plates: mushrooms with the egg, shishito peppers, shrimps, churros and flan. Everything was good and the choice of drinks and cocktails too. Bartenders were very attentive and recommend us good drinks. I highly recommend the place for the ambiance, latin music, drinks and food plus the excellent service!Recommended dishes Churros Chocolate Sauce, Gambas Al Ajillo …More

chad svastisalee: Toro is uniquely located on Washington Street in the South End. One thing to know... fresh tapas are always A-Mazing and sharing with your family and besties make meals memorable. Just eating Spanish food because you know it’s delicious is a treat in itself. Toro is a must place to check out. The best way to tapas is to order a little bit of everything, and if you come across something you don’t love, that’s ok. Toro customized our menus with our son's name and boy was he surprised! Sit in their heated outdoor patio or inside the bustling hot spot and you'll be in good hands either way. Don’t let the crowd or wait for a table ruin the whole experience. The local beer selection is good, paired well with our tapas. We started with batatas bravas, calamari with shishito peppers and a well thought charcuterie board to start. Every pinxtos was delicious. Ostros Escabeche, island creek Oysters we're swimming in flavor and although we thought the Empanadas were a bit over fried, they were still tasty inside. We shared two rounds of Risotto de Longostos, it was devine and our boys favorite. The attention to detail to seasoning, plating and staff are on point at Toro.

Derek Cheung: Walked in and the two young female hosts were not as friendly as one would like. Asked for a table for one but was denied saying they don't have any available but I can go seat myself at the bar, walk in and see at least 6 small tables available not to mention a few other tables for larger groups.Noticed they had a patio and lots of free tables, walked back out and asked if I could sit outside, the host said yes, I said great, and she just went back to doing whatever she's doing... I had to ask her if I could just go myself or she needed to take me.While she walked me to my table, I asked if I needed to go back in for service or if their waitstaff would come out which she said the latter. I am now seated and 15 mins gone by without a single waitstaff came out to me. 2 other waitstaffs came out at least 3 times for the other tables. Feeling a little upset I walked to the same host and asked if I can get some service out there, she said she'll get someone immediately and I walked back to my table. 5 mins passed by and still no one... I walked back in and the other waiter was right at the door and I asked to speak with a manager, he was nice enough to ask other waitstaffs to attend to me vs the original waitstaffs that never appeared. When I went back to my seat, the manager came out with another waiter who was friendly and knowledgeable, ordered my food and went on with my day... Will not come back due to poor service...

Gary Bianchi: Very disappointing meals. I had the haddock which is. LSF staple but it was dry and without flavor and my wife had the lobster ravioli which came with a fra diavlo red sauce that was overpowering for the lobster and a half lobster tail in the shell but no way to get the meat out without wearing the sauce on her sweater. I will say our cups of chowder and the cheesecake for dessert were excellent. We each had 2 drinks, no apps and shared dessert and the entree’s noted and the bill came to $177. Overpriced for a disappointing experience. We won’t be back.

The Barking Crab: what do users think?
David Blumberg: Wow this was AMAZING!! Perfectly seasoned fried Shrimp, Scallops, Clams and Fish - not salty!!! This was better than just great, it was World Class. Affordable too!! Reservations not accepted, full parties seated only.
Glen Anderson: We visited marathon weekend, the evening we visited it was busy and we had to wait in line for about 10 mins but well worth the wait. The staff were great and the food was excellent. The clam chowder was delicious. Mac and cheese with lobster was fantastic with lots of lobster, Alaskan King crab legs amazing. Great location, excellent atmosphere and would highly recommend and I would certainly be prepared to wait longer in line if I had to
SuperGamer7: Great atmosphere, Awesome Lobster! Try their platters!
Allison Smith: This place has good food but it’s extremely overpriced despite it being in downtown Boston. Three crab legs for $100–plus. Their hostesses were some of the most rude individuals I have ever encountered in the food industry—as someone who has worked in the restaurant industry. Couldn’t be bothered to speak to customers, texting on their phones constantly, super rude when questions were asked. Disappointing.
Veerle van Gils: I really liked the restaurant. The food, location & ambience are great. I just wanted to comment that all food is served on plastic/paper dishes and plastic cutlery and cups for drinks. It would be great if there would be some attention for environmental impact. A place like this should be able to invest in reusable dishes.

Jaclyn Dennis: Third time here, never fails to impress. Low key ambiance not about impressing anyone because their food speaks for itself.
Ben McGuire: Came here because it was recommended to us. The food was good. I really enjoyed my lobster. It’s a real treat as the only lobster I can get at home is from a well known chain restaurant. The crab cakes were tasty. The raw oysters were decent, but I’ve had better. The service was adequate. The staff wasn’t the friendliest though. Great location right on the water. I would say it’s worth checking out.
Martin Seibert: Very recommendable for lobster and seafood.Recommended dishes Steamed Hard Shell Lobster, Coleslaw …More
Maher Iskandar: Nice place to dine in. Great seafood with big variety. Scallops were phenomenal as well as king crab legs. Halibut was overrated although highly recommended by our serve. All over was a great experience

Rafaela Alessia: Awful server (the one with the blonde highlight and long ponytail) worst service ever and I’m not usually the one to complain , so rude, .. save your money and go somewhere else. DEFINITELY OVERRATED! Even the bus boy was rude🤮 Food was so average for a 150$ bill. There are so many better places . We went because of the recommendations but we regret it.

Emrah Aras: Nice lively place
Ramdas Pisharody: The restaurant is on the waterfront and we were a group of 20 and were allocated a large sized room. The cocktails were nice and I enjoyed the spicy strawberry margarita. The menu featured exclusively sea food. The starters - tuna tacos, crab cakes, prawns and the main course of lobster, scallops and shrimp were all enjoyable.. Would definitely recommend

Woods Hill Pier 4: what do users think?
Dan Smith: Excellent…… on the water.
Irina Rasskazova: Amazing food and cocktails, good selection of wines. Love this place for brunch (lobster eggs benny, shakshuka, and croque madame are amazing!) and dinner (oysters, steak tartar, broccoli, and all pastas).

Mike Barros: I didn't take pics of the food, but this small plate restaurant was super yummy. Order a couple of plates per person and you get to taste a bunch of different flavors. Everything was great and I personally liked the duck confit, steak tar tar, and the crisy lamb ribs were amazing! The ham and cheese croquettes were great and the scallops were maybe my favorite dish out of all of them and the tagliolioni was quite mind blowing. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will be back.
Gabriele Manganaro: The food is really good here. Super delicious. The service is great. The location is also excellent, with a view of the bay and the pier and away from the hustle of the Seaport center. Highly recommend it!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Shakshouka …More

Laura Chu: Excellent dinner! We really enjoyed the cocktails, food, and ambience. Service was quick and friendly. The location and decor on the pier are also beautiful. Would recommend coming back for a special occasion or date night. It was really busy on a Friday night so I would recommend a reservation for sure.Recommended dishes Charred Broccoli, Crispy Lamb Ribs …More
T B: Extremely overrated, the lobster definitely does not worth $100, drinks are lame.. not coming back.
Dorrian Jaffe: I visited here with my mom and sister before the Boston marathon and, as good as the food was, the experience was incredibly subpar. We were running late (our fault) but when we repeatedly called the restaurant to let them know, we were not able to speak to anyone and when we arrived, were told they might not be able to accommodate our reservation given our lateish arrival, in spite of the fact that our table wasn’t ready (we had to sit and wait for it to be cleaned) until after we arrived (late). Eventually they were able to seat us but the experience didn’t improve much after this. The waiter was polite but condescending about our questions and requests and made absolutely no effort to try to accommodate my sister’s vegetarian diet (i.e. asking the chef what was possible) which, to be fair; not every restaurant is. However, a restaurant that prides itself on farm-to-table dining would be expected to have at least one option specifically for non-meat eaters which the waiter, in no what certain terms, made it clear they weren’t willing to do, besides removing bacon from one dish already on the menu. The fact that this restaurant was Tapas style was also a surprise to us, given the prices and the lack of indication on the website that the restaurant catered to small plates (if this had been advertised anywhere, we would not have come here as my family consists of large portion diners). The gap between our first course and second course was over an hour with the server stopping by approximately once. The food and drinks were very delicious but you can find far superior food in Boston that has portions that are actually worth the price. As much as I wanted to like this place, I wouldn’t return.EDIT: I would like to add that, after leaving this review, I checked the website again and there is absolutely NO mention of small “shareable” plates or tapas-style dining which leads me to believe this restaurant is purposely counting on the fact that people believe the portions are commensurate with the prices. Personally, I find this incredibly misleading marketing and I’m feeling even more scammed by an average restaurant masquerading as a fine dining experience.
Adam Lockett: Very small portion each $45 plate had three bites on it. Ended up having to go somewhere else to get full. Great drinks spot.Recommended dishes Crispy Lamb Ribs …More
Alex Yang: Amazing selection of food. The staff was funny, engaging, and well knowledges about the food. They told us that they give out small plates, so I was scared I was not going to be full once I finish but the plates were decently sized and we did not have to get an outrageous amount of food to be full. The steak tar tar was flavorful, the meat was a bit stiff, but overall good beef tar tar. The blue fin tuna was super flavorful and fresh. The only thing was it was a bit too acidic for me. I got a rack of lamb as well. This was sort of disappointing as the rack of lamb was quite small leaving me to believe they killed a baby lamb. I am not familiar with lambs, but the rack of lamb was about of big as my hand. Eating the lamb was kinda hard. The first bites were easy but getting the meat in between the bones proved very difficult for me. The lamb tasted great, not gaimy at all and the sauce and tomato’s mixed well with the lamb flavors. There was also a root in the dish but I am not sure what it was. It tasted like a carrot and a plantain mixed together into a sweet potato sized disk. The 4 layer bar was alright though I’m not a fan of chocolate and 2 out of the 4 layers were chocolate. The sorbets were sweet but did not give me that chalky feel some do which was a positive for me. The flavors were present and they gave a very generous portion. Usually fancy restaurants give you like 2 scoops but we got like an entire pint basically. Overall amazing experience, definitely would recommend if your willing to pay a good few bucks.
Alfonso Perfferle: Really cool place.Excellent customer service.Delicious 😋 food.Great Manhattan Cocktails 🍸 👌Beautiful views!
Richard Cheng: Group of 6 of us went for dinner on 4/9/23. Two of us ordered the rack of lamb (a pricey main course!!! or as menu calls it Third Course). For both orders, the ribs cannot be separated (it would take a clever to do that). We tried using our caveman skill to no avail so we had to pick up the whole rack. Not sure what cut they used. This this really absolutely appalling for Woodshill. Besides they were tasteless and hardly grilled properly. I would have asked for a refund but I didn't want to embarrass our host.
Tami Curley: Small plates to share gave us the opportunity to sample a variety of delicious choices. Our choices included BUCATINI ALL'AMATRICIANA, TAGLIOLINI, SEA SCALLOPS A LA PLANCHA, CHARRED BEEF SHORT RIB, GRASS FED RIBEYE ROULADE, PIER 4 LAYER BAR, and Sorbet. Yummmm!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Charred Broccoli …More

B&G Oysters: what do users think?
Stephane Rivest: Food was good but very expensive for what it is, I was kind of shocked when I saw the bill to be honest. But still a nice little restaurant.Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Luka Vujeva: This place wants you to order, quickly eat and pay within 40 min so that they can free up your seat. The place seems nice, but our experience was grotesque. I have never experienced someone putting a cheque on my table while im still eating, of course, without me asking for a cheque.
Richard W: The negroni was perfect. All else left much to be desired. The fried clams are fine (the tartar sauce is zesty!), but the sides were severely lacking. Fries were limp and soggy with virtually no crunch. The coleslaw felt limp and lifeless without any vibrancy. The pickles tasted off-putting, like something gone bad. This quality was not worth the price. The clam chowder was mainly salt pork. It tasted good, but I expected clam soup, not pork soup.
Steven Dechiario: Just had dinner there and it’s definitely not the same quality as it once was. The lobster roll was mediocre when it was once fresh and crisp. The fries, which were once the crispy ends, were regular shoe string fries that were soggy. The portions are smaller than they were which say a lot since they were always small. However, in the past, despite the small size, the flavor and quality of the food was there in abundance. This is no longer the case. Higher prices, worse quality. Sad to say I will not return.
Mark Freedman: This was a pleasant surprise. Terrific choice of oysters and service personal and friendly. Every dish is prepared from scratch. Amazing to watch the cool prepare the chowder from sitting at the bar. Quaint place, simple but friendly. Excellent food quality. Wine list was limited and there was no draught beer.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Fresh Oysters on the Half Shell …More
Nicholas Manning: The host nearly ruined our 10 year wedding anniversary. We booked two weeks in advance. We the. arrived 20 minutes late and the host told us they removed our reservation as we were over 15 minutes late. He then told us they only had a table with a max 1 hour time limit to eat. We were done place that a crummy table, and we just left after five minutes. The management should be ashamed that they do not train people taking reservations over the phone by informing customers of this ridiculous policy up front. We were not even given a phone call when we were running late by the host that we were about to have our reservation removed. We were happy to not spend our money here and ended up luckily finding a better place nearby.
S PJ: Absolute delicious fish and chips! Then why the 2 stars you might wonder- it was so cold in the restaurant we had to sit with our coats on and it really (negatively) impacted our experience- the salad was drowning in its dressing- one of us ordered a beer and it was forgotten and then delivered at the last bite of the food- we came for lunch and I feel size and price of the fish and chips plate can be adjusted to a lunch portion, fried food is best eaten fresh and not something you take home
Jacqueline Blue: The oysters are AHHHHMAZING!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Amanda Jade: Had a lovely meal here! Staff were attentive and efficient, very nice! We had a selection of Oysters, the Bass and Lobster roll, and Bouillabaisse for our entrees. Food was very delicious, and plated very well. Lobster roll was nice and fresh and not overpowered by any mayonnaise. The bass was cooked to perfection. Small restaurant with a great vibe. There is bar or table seating depending on your party size.Kid-friendliness: Gave us an extra plate so that the little one could have some of the parents food.
Don Mitchell: Small space surrounding the kitchen.Great small wine list. Not a full bar but they do have negroni.I had the clam chowder which was salty, banal, but had interesting cayenne spiced croutons and perhaps urfa. Then the whole branzino which was surprisingly fried. It was fine but nothing special. The salad with it was good. I tried the mousse which was a bit dense but had interesting salted caramel bits on top.
Jacqui Labott: Delicious! We had great recommendations on oysters then lobster rolls. Tried both hot and cold..... So good. Make sure you have a reservationFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Joy Romeo: We ordered 3 small clam chowders that were half full and was charged 58.00 dollars. I’m sorry but that’s outrageous! Menu online said 14.00 which is still expensive for a small soup but we weren’t even charged that. What the heck?

Shaina J.: We went to the restaurant for brunch. Having a reservation is definitely needed. The cake salmon Benedict was great. We also had the French toast brioche and more. We weren't too impressed by the pancake. It was a weird texture, and we didn't even know it was pancake until we realized that was the only thing missing at the table. The service was good with a slight disappointment. One of the people from our party never got their food and we were never told anything until we asked and the sais the food would be right out. We got it after about 20mns. I think it would've been courteous to let us know what was going on. Though it was cold and sat inside, we were still able to enjoy the view from our table. It is definitely outstanding.
Shane Burns: Food and drinks was goood management was awful I don’t know how they got the jobVegetarian options: It’s more about the management they were so rude and unhelpful at all the Gm a young girl she wouldn’t give me here name she was so disrespectful I don’t know how she got the job as a GM cause she has no experience in customer service that’s restaurant is goin to get close as I’m a food critic I couldn’t believe the disrespect I got my bartender was trying to make my drink and she would. It stop talking about her drama in her life there is a place and time for that worst experience I have had in a long time and it’s so sad because it’s beautiful area you need to get rid of her
Ryan Fonash: great view, decent food.
Nick Patlin: Great location, waterfront overlooking downtown Boston.Absolutely brilliant fall-of-the-shell buttery mussels, served in a huge pot, well enough for two persons to pair with fresh seasonal draught Sam Adams. Don’t be shy to dip a piece of bread served herewith deep into the pot to reach meticulously crafted mussel’s broth, as well as a drop of uncompromissable Tabasco to excuse so smoothly disappearing pints of this great ale.
Kiana Chanel: The location is amazing right on the water. I can tell it’s a vibe in the summer. The Easter brunch was nice. Food was decent needed a little salt and pepper but there was none on any table. Waiter was friendly but busy! Overall I’m returning maybe for dinner though I wasn’t blown away by brunch. Parking is awful but it’s East Boston.Kid-friendliness: Crayons coloring booklet and kid items on menu!

Mairelys Villilo: Parking: Nice place and good experience
Julian Simo: We went there for dinner . Despite they don't have parking aviable they say over there websites that they had vale. I asked the concierge where the vale was. They said we don't have it any more. I had to go around to find parking.Food: 5/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Avocado Toast, Reelhouse Burger, Crispy Fried Calamari …More
Jasmine block: Just arrived from Toronto, and decided to try this highly recommended spot in east Boston. It lived up to its hype and it did not disappoint. The prices are reasonable, and the restaurant itself and its surroundings are beautiful. The service is great and same with the food. I would 100% recommend this restaurant. Amazing!

Pier 6: what do users think?
nicole bellinger: I’ve only ever left positive reviews on Google until now, and I honestly wish I could give it 0 stars. This experience was hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was like pulling teeth to get something as simple as a napkin (which we had to ask for twice). We never even got silverware! After being done with our food and drinks for I would say 45 minutes, nobody had come to check on us to get the bill, so we once again had to flag someone down. We had to flag someone down for everything from ordering drinks, to ordering food, to asking for silverware (which we never got), to even when we needed napkins - and like I said, we had to ask for those twice. I’m not sure I’ll ever eat here again - it was that bad, and I’m really not a petty person. Last thing I’ll say is our group of 4 was by no means being rude, rowdy, off putting, or anything like that. If anything, we were being super nice to try and defuse the tension that was being exhibited by the servers. This experience was akin to doing the splits on a crate of dynamite - simply atrocious.
Purvik Patel: The place and vibe is really good. But the cucumber martini is horrible!! Order anything other than this. ;)The drinks taste good but it didn’t had any alcoholAnd also we had to wait more than 30mins for just 4 cocktails

The cocktails had to be the highlight for me… best espresso martini I’ve had in a long time, and the painkillers were AWESOME!We had the tuna tartare, which was yummy (big portion size!). Also the crab cake and tacos - I think for me the highlight was absolutely the tacos! Will be back again

Stefano Linci: Everything we ordered was delicious and our waitress very friendly. We shared 5 dishes to start - fried boneless thighs, fried pickles, short ribs, fries with crawfish, and the biscuits. Wow the biscuits! It was plenty of food for 4 adults but ordered the wedge salad and fresh mozzarella while we sipped the rest of our drinks. Food comes out pretty quickly which was awesome because we very very hungry.

I’ve had the fried chicken sliders and the Mac and cheese, the biscuits, and the beignets - all were delicious! It is a bit pricey considering the dishes are appetizer sized but that’s Boston for you. Book a reservation ahead of time because it gets packed on the weekends! Definitely a Boston go-to for me!

Dave Xa: Service is fast and the staff is lovely. It is a nice place to go- pretty cozy inside - music is a bit loud but maybe it’s just us. Food portions are fine if it is one plate per person and sharing a plate (1.5 plates total)The honey biscuits are to die for, chicken and waffles are amazing (make sure you like the sauce before throwing it on your food). The biscuits and gravy is intense a bit in case you want to share it with someone. Beignets are to die for!!!Drinks are spectacular!!
Rachel Barich: Amazing food and good service in a cool groovy atmosphere!Tapas style dining so small plates but 3-4 plates will leave you very full and satisfied on some amazing flavours! We ordered the amazing honey biscuits (4 to a basket) and come with pimento or smoked cinnamon butter, crispy Nashville chicken thigh (3 to order) and perfect amount of spice, and the crispy salmon which was to die for! It came with amazing roasted cauliflower over a sweet potato puree and toasted almonds and capers! Extensive cocktail and of course bourbon menu.100% get here if you are in Boston!
