Cassie Allen: I have absolutely no complaints about the staff, I have found them all to be very kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. However, I have found the prices at this location to be quite steep. They are higher than ordering directly off of Blick’s website and it seems like every time I get something it rings up higher than the shelf price. I’m sure this is due to the downtown location, but it’s about 20% more expensive than ordering online, which is good to be aware of for budget-conscious artists out there.Edit: I have updated this review to 4 stars from 3 stars given the information on the price match from Scout. I did not give 5 stars because it did take me a while to find the information on Blick’s website and you can’t sign up online from what I can tell (at no fault of the staff at this location). The web match rebate also factors in the cost of shipping at $7.95 on purchases under $69, so it’s still in your best interest to spend more. These are all things I wish I had known before shopping here, but I will likely visit again and use this price match.

Judy Stitt: I arrived quite late on a Saturday- within 30 minutes of their closing time. I’d called earlier that afternoon to inquire, and the proprietor said they even try to sharpen knives the same day, especially if there is just one knife. I arrived so late that I wasn’t expecting any such service… but the proprietor did not complain a whit- he only very graciously took my knife to sharpen (for a reasonable price), then wrapped it in a cardboard sheaf for greater safety on my trip home.While there at the shop, I took the opportunity to purchase a second paring knife (for friends to use, since they sometimes offer to help prepare a meal while visiting). And then Blackstone’s proprietors gave me some suggestions of where I might like to celebrate my unexpectedly productive and pleasant late afternoon with a dinner out (which is likewise lovely, btw!).I would just want to correct any listing online that states Blackstone’s offers classes: They apparently haven’t for the past year or so, due to COVID concerns, I learned today, and the proprietor said they don’t have a kitchen on the premises. So that info just needs to be corrected (at least, for mid-summer 2022).

Daniel Lopez: A really cool and sweet shop in Beacon Hill! Has a very home cozy vibe and staff are lovely and caring. Located right next to the Paramount if you wanted to stop by before or after. They have plenty of house necessities in case of an emergency and you happen to live by. Also a bunch of tourist items as well!

Sam Flood: Knife Sharpening Class: Tanisha was really helpful in stone sharpening techniques for both German and Japanese knives - the process once learned is actually pretty simple but good to have someone work through with you. Additionally Tanisha provided insights into different types of knives and best practices for use. I enjoyed the individual class a lot and as a bonus they sharpen your existing knives. Totally worth the time. Thx for positive experience Tanisha. I will be back!

Lucas Sikina: Knife Sharpening - Good, not great.I got my chef's knife sharpened here. Prior to getting it sharpened, it had 9 months of decent use and was pretty dull. After, it was fairly sharp, but not as sharp as it was brand new. Specifically, I found that slicing delicate fruits / veg still sometimes ended up with some squashing.I ended up sharpening my knife my self later. Learning how to sharpen it was exhausting, and not very fast, but it produced a significantly sharper knife.The people at the shop were friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. I would recommend their sharpening services for someone who wants a sharper knife, but not for someone who wants a razor sharp knife.

I called the Everett location only 5 minutes after they had opened and I was honestly expecting no answer. To my surprise, NICK DEMOS picked up and was so patient and navigated me through their inventory on this specific item. He not only accommodated with what they were working with, but Nick absolutely went above and beyond to make those easels appear and be ready for pick within 2 hours. He single handedly saved our morning and we are so grateful for his phenomenal customer service and attention. THANK YOU NICK!

I just witnessed one of the managers of this location speak SO unprofessionally to an employee who was doing his best to help me make a return.1 p.m. on 11/29/22 - issues returning some items, so the employee kindly buzzed a manager to come over and assist with the process, despite a long line of customers and the store obviously being short staffed. The manager comes over and the employee starts explaining the situation, to which the manager snaps “Do NOT speak to the customers while I am trying to speak with the customers.” I can’t even put into words how much vitriol he packed into that sentence. This was a particularly ridiculous reaction considering the employee was doing his best to explain the situation and had not even interrupted his boss.I understand Christmas time/holiday sales can be overwhelming. But it’s not just overwhelming for managers, it’s overwhelming for the employees, too. There’s never an excuse to speak to someone like that. Not exactly the “Christmas spirit” now, is it?We ended up leaving and I just ate the $12 loss because I didn’t want him to have to call that same manager over again and potentially have him get yelled at another time. I’m absolutely flabbergasted that anyone could become a manager with such poor communication skills.I’m sorry for the dude who works under that awful boss. I hope you’re able to find another job where people treat you with some respect.

Tyler Motes: This is one of my favorite places to get simple supplies. I wish they carried more for fountain pens, but one store can’t have everything. The staff have always been extremely nice and the prices are fair.
Sahar Tariq: Best quality curated materials, they take the guesswork out of which stuff is good quality and which stuff is just children's crafty by keeping everything that is good quality, you can't go wrong. Highly recommend the store brand stuff, they're not so pricey but yet amazing professional quality. Also the staff are super nice and friendly, and go out of their way to be helpful, both in the store and at rhe printing section. It may seem a bit small but that's because they don't fill the store with junk. Also, the other art store across the street has a habit of racially profiling and being so creepy, but Blick has always been my favourite place with super nice people.

When it comes to art supplies, quality really makes a difference and at Blick they have some really quality stuff. I highly recommend this place if your just starting out (like me) or if you're a professional artist. Love it.

The staff is very helpful and kind. They are willing to go above and beyond to help. The reason for 4 stars is because the store is cramped, not much room to move around. But, will definitely be shopping here again.

Tavar Eisenhardt: I regret to report that the Target store located at 100 Cambridge Street in Boston, Massachusetts is a place of unspeakable terror. The layout of the store is confusing and disorienting, with aisles that seem to stretch on forever and a sense of foreboding that hangs heavy in the air.The products themselves are strange and alien, as though they were brought to this world from some other plane of existence. The packages are covered in bizarre symbols and indecipherable text, and the contents within seem almost alive with an eldritch energy.The employees, too, are a source of terror, with their blank stares and soulless demeanors. They move through the aisles with an otherworldly grace, as though they are not quite of this world. I could sense that they were watching me, and that their motives were far from benign.In short, I would not recommend this Target store to anyone. The horrors that I encountered within its walls were beyond description, and I fear that others who venture inside may suffer a fate even worse than my own. It is a place to be avoided at all costs, lest one be consumed by the malevolent energies that permeate its very being.
S M: Cozy little target at the top of Beacon Hill. Space on the Hill is tight for businesses so it is nice they could squeeze a target here. Fresh groceries and all household things, what more do I need? People looking for target clothes accept this is a smaller target.Great prices for Beacon Hill tbh.

This is the equivalent of a Neighborhood Walmart, meaning it's a fraction of the size of the actual department store with a minimal selection of products. It's basically a Walgreens. Honestly this false advertising just hurts their name.
Patrick Callahan: Most unprofessional hiring experience I’ve ever been through.I filled out an application for a part time position at this location a few weeks ago. Initially I heard from a manager who asked me to interview that day with about 3 hours notice. I simply did not get that email in time.The next day I received an automated email asking for a pre recorded interview with only 48 hours to complete. I wasn’t sure which avenue to pursue so I responded asking what I was supposed to do. The hiring manager - who did not seem aware their was a request for the auto interview - said “I guess it’s up to you” which one I completed…hours after the dead line. Fortunately I decided to do the auto interview a few hours earlier because I did not want to miss my opportunity.The manager reaches out a day or so later deciding they want to do a live interview anyways. Proceed to ask if I was around Thursday or Friday after 4:00…only to cancel and ask to do Monday.I made accommodations to keep my schedule open and in the end I wasn’t hired. They were nice enough to send a passive aggressive email from HR.Obviously Target is not obligated to hire me. That’s fair game. They didn’t even pretend, however, to care about the interview process itself. The directions were extremely unclear, the replies last minute and vague, and multiple cancellations. I’ve been through multiple job interviews. Some I did not land and that’s ok. Never have I been so clearly shown I don’t matter beyond being a piece of human capital than Targets hiring process.
Margaret Anderson: I’m not usually one to write a review about something like a Target, but wow was this store a letdown! Just moved to the city and was happy to have a Target nearby. They have the most random assortment of things… and it’s maybe 1/8th the size of a typical Target. It’s essentially a CVS, but I think CVS even has a better selection.
Mike Wilson: I was with my 6 year old grandson and he had to use the restroom, so I asked an employee where it was and she said no bathroom. I was like he's a child and really has to go. It didn't matter, no restroom. Needless to say, I won't be back! I think certain exceptions can and should be made.
James R: they mislabel prices of items and then refuse to match what their advertised shelf prices are when you go checkout. My item rang up 82% higher than the shelf's listing price. Associate did not remedy the situation, left empty handed.
J Ciccone: NOT much of a store. They have a few things but they do not carry much selection of anything. They also run out of items ALOT! Very Disappointing addition. The Rite Aid that use to be here was so much better!
