Boston Evening Therapy Associates, LLC: what do users think?
roger dunn: Very disappointed in Michael Hiam. He is lazy with his sessions. "so what do you think?" "who wants to speak first?" He doesn't take notes, he doesn't provide prompts. He has some good sessions, and some bad sessions. He also just flees the session, has tech issues. Is late to sessions. twice. is rejecting us as a couples therapist. he also stutters and repeats himself and makes me feel nervous. and says "but but but but". and he also wants to still charge for the session. He will arrive late, and ends sessions early. "yes, and no, and yeah"
Friedemann Frommelt: I have worked directly with Aaron over the past year, He consistently shows the highest level of integrity and fierce devotion to his patients. He sets the very highest standard of care for all of the therapists at BETA. I highly recommend online therapy at BETA as well as the DBT groups.
Kara VanGuilder: I highly recommend Julie Sutherland and BETA. Also, from an administrative point of view, the process was easy and smooth to find the therapist that works for me.
Morgan Smith: They're the best -- especially Aaron. While he's not currently seeing new clients, he is a therapist first and a business owner second. I appreciate everything Aaron and the team do to ensure each interaction is friendly, communicative, and supportive. BETA's focus on professionalism, empathy, and patient-centered care comes from the top down -- from Aaron -- and it's apparent in each aspect of the work that BETA does. Everything Boston Evening Therapy Does is patient-focused, not profit-focused-- which is refreshing compared with the big "therapy" conglomerates. BETA wants to see its clients well and give them tools to achieve mental wellness as independent, autonomous people without the need for daily check-ins and text message relationships. They're the real deal. Though I'm not currently in therapy, BETA would be my no. 1 choice should I choose to pick up where I left off.
Zachary Shark: I started seeing Anindita in 2016, as I had been struggling with a traumatic experience for over 15 years. Based on my previous therapies, I thought that if I showed up to my sessions, talked for an hour about my experience, and continued my sessions for a period of time, I would just “feel better”. Anindita easily recognized this and changed the course of my therapy, improved my perception of my traumatic experience, and worked with me on improving all other aspects of my life. Over the months, I learned that there is no finish line in therapy. It is not a race, but rather a continual process, where you must always be striving to better yourself and use the tools that are learned. My perception of therapy has been permanently changed, and I encourage anyone that is struggling in any aspect of their life to reach out to someone like Anindita. She is a gifted person who has given me the tools to navigate the ups and downs of life that all humans experience.
Mehrshad Zandigohar: I am the kind of person who cannot easily connect with a therapist. I have to really believe in the person and after searching for many weeks, reading the reviews and the responses by Aaron, I was very optimistic to start with him.I contacted their office and they (Kerry) said he is unable to see new people. After a month I contacted them again and they said he is not able to see new people “at all going forward”. After 3 months, the same response. This is very disappointing. How is someone booked for eternity, how can the coordinator even know that? What did these other people do that they could make an appointment with him?
Karen Turiel Klein: Aaron Gilbert and his team of therapists are really exceptional! I am so impressed with the professionalism and effectiveness of their services. I so highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking therapy for themselves or a family member.
Michael Blizniuc: Left a voicemail asking for a callback - nothing. Followed up with an e-mail asking for a phone call, so I could ask questions and schedule an appointment - no callback. The online application process is completely useless and only adds more confusion due to poor design and improper use of language.Name of business - evening therapy or whatever, but no available therapists that time of day. Also, some of their employees don’t work with insurance.Basically if you don’t have a good safety net or are poor, they’ll help you part with the last money you have. You’ll need a therapy just after dealing with this organization.
Xiaoran Liu: Saw Sara Payne at this practice. Very unprofessional. It doesn't seem like she knows or cares much about her clients at all. She is not very knowledgeable about her field. And she is easily distracted by surrounding environment. Here are some examples:1) During one session, she stopped and checked her phone because she heard a beeping sound.2) I was constantly interrupted by her non-related and/or irrelevant questions.3) I once asked her for insights and suggestions at the end of one session, she offered some very trivia, superficial, non-significant observations made me feel offended that I was sitting through an hour for such nonsense.I understand it took time to find the right therapist. And I have gave it a fair try.. I saw her three times at two locations (per she requested), left feeling depressed every time. This is very unfortunate. Huge waste of Money and TIME!!!
Karen Schwartz: Kind and thoughtful therapists. I am so impressed with this practice. Very skilled and committed group of professionals. I highly recommend BETA.
Rana Elkahwagy: I started seeing Anindita last September. The progress I have achieved with Anindita in less than a year was life-changing. The most important aspect of Anindita’ ability to connect with patients is her diverse cultural background. She was able to understand all the nuances of my culture, the underlying misconceptions, and the internal struggles I have gone through. This gave me an opportunity to dig deeper into many issues that I have failed to address in previous therapy experiences. I recommend Anindita to anyone who is having hard time connecting to therapists due to cultural differences. I want to thank Anindita for her warmth, empathy, reliability and overall concern about my personal and professional growth.
John Lowenstein: As a good friend and as a client, Aaron is loyal, caring, thoughtful, intelligent, and fair.
Joe Rufo: I have known Aaron Gilbert for more than 35 years and he is truly a compassionate professional in every sense of the word. He listens better than anyone I know and he will provide you with great advice and real world solutions in a very comfortable setting. The team at BET is top notch. You can not go wrong by getting in touch with Aaron and his team.
Carmen Ollervides: The clinicians at BET are exceptional and incredibly responsive to your needs. They give you concrete tools to manage stress and more mindfully and deliberately make choices in alignment with your core values. I've found myself to be more present, fulfilled, and capable of weathering whatever storm life may bring my way because of the support Anindita and Nancy offered. I truly cannot thank them enough!
kathryn kilpatrick: I had the good fortune to be referred to Aaron Gilbert when Boston Evening Therapy first opened. Aaron is kind, humane, and completely committed to his patients. I first started seeing him in the wake of a traumatic event, and have since endured family losses and significant medical diagnoses. Through it all, Aaron has remained a steadfast and empathetic support. But he doesn't merely comfort or provide an echo chamber; he offers honest and perceptive feedback and strategies that have greatly helped me not only to cope with adversity, but to overcome it. He also has a great sense of humor that he uses skillfully for the patient's benefit. I'm eternally grateful for the guidance he has given me and the personal growth he has made possible for me.
Larry Buckfire: Aaron Gilbert is an amazing therapist. He is kind, understanding, and non judgmental. I would highly recommend him and the other counselors at this practice if you are looking for an experienced and professional therapist. They offer appointments in the evening and on weekends and are very accommodating with your schedule.
Roland Kratzer: I've know Aaron for over 35 years. His dedication to providing patients with the highest level of care is his life's mission.Over the years I've consulted with Aaron on many sensitive and difficult issues. He has always shown me great compassion and humor (perhaps the best medicine). I've learned to better accept my challenges and control them rather than have them control me and effect those I love.I highly recommend Aaron as a wonderful resource. He's been invaluable to my mental health.
danu wicaksono: I'm danu wicaksono from indonesia. I have worked with Aaron and know that he and everyone at the practice are totally committed to providing the very best care for their patients. i highly recommend it.
Mark Josephs: I filled out the form and provided my information, and they had me meet with someone half my age. I do not recommend them.
Wil They Siya: Anindita Bhaumik is a dear and trusted colleague of many years and it is a privilege and honor to be able to write this review about her and her work. Her mindfully honed and vetted clinical skills come from years of experience in providing accurate, appropriate, evidence based, and non-judgmental individual, couples, family, group, and crisis therapies with cultural humility. In addition, she has been a clinical supervisor, a public speaker, and a staunch advocate and pioneer. She has created and facilitated innovative training and collaborative community programs that address the needs of the unserved and the underserved. She is exceedingly professional, charismatic, personable, practical, and precise. Her ever-growing knowledge base coupled with her therapeutic healing skills has enabled her to become an exceptional clinician, which many of her former and current clients can attested to. Anindita is ever humble, down-to-earth, and a life-long learner. As a fellow clinician, I highly recommend Anindita for her effective, no-nonsense, and strength-based approaches that enable her to create and provide individualized treatment plans that address the entire person experiencing a wide variety of life challenges.

Lean Force: what do users think?
Roman Fleck: Very much enjoy working with Frederico, he is very meticulous and methodical. He takes a holistic approach, not only focusing on the work-out but also on breathing and mind. Already seeing results after only a short period of time.
Hilary Poriss: Training at Lean Force is amazing. I'm a middle aged woman who is not in terrible shape, but not really good either. Federico is changing that quickly and after 20 sessions, I'm starting to feel really great, much stronger and healthier. I'm in the first phase right now, the conditioning phase. Sessions run 45 minutes to an hour each and each session focuses on one of four areas (arms, shoulders, chest & back, legs & glutes). One of the things I appreciate most is that Federico meets you where you're at -- nothing feels overly difficult and yet it's always challenging. The other trainers there are terrific as well -- Lee and Erick really know their stuff and are a joy to work with. If you're looking for personal training, look no further! Lean Force is the best!
kat 10: I highly recommend Federico if your looking for a knowledgeable and excellent personal trainer for all your fitness and health goals.A couple of years ago I had ankle surgery. Last summer I had extensive ligament reconstruction on my wrist with subsequent weakness and aches.I started training 2 days a week with Federico a couple of months ago to address my weaknesses and build strength. My training sessions are always tailored to meet my specific needs. Federico clearly puts a lot of thought designing the sessions full of variety and emphasizes the importance of proper form for every move. In this short period I can see physical changes in my body. I feel less aches on a daily basis and my overall strength and stamina has improved significantly.Looking forward to continuing to learn and train with you at Lean Force.Thank you for your consistent encouragement, positive energy and killer workouts.
Sam: Highly recommend the Lean Force team. Federico is a gem of a person and his training style is the ideal balance of calm, direct, and encouraging.
Celia Segel: I have been working with Federico since August 2022, and am feeling much stronger and confident in my strength and cardio routine. For several years prior, I cobbled together my workouts, running and using apps to learn strength routines. But it was getting tiresome doing the same things over and over again without longer term goals to build toward. Federico clearly describes each phase of his training program so that I know where I am heading, how long it will take, and what comes after. He has helped me to find a really good cadence in my exercise, rotating muscle groups, introducing new exercises and stretches, and incorporating cardio on my own time. His personal demeanor is perfect as a trainer: he is calm and laid back, yet brings a quiet intensity to our sessions. He also does a really good job describing what each exercise is meant to strengthen, and how muscles interact with one another, in order to guide me through each new set. Highly recommend Federico and his team!
sushama k s: It’s my first time working with a trainer, and Federico has been amazing and has made the training experience enjoyable.I have had back and hip issues for over 3 years and haven’t been much mobile and active. I was very hesitant to start the training as I am very cautious about any flare-ups or worsening of my health issues. The reason I started training was to gain my strength back. Being totally inactive and not mobile (not even begin able to walk few minutes), I have lost significant strength. Once I received okay from my postural therapist and doctor, to start strength training to help gain coordination between muscles and also strength, I reached out to Federico. He has been amazing with customizing all the sessions to accommodate my limitations and also to answer numerous questions I ask during each sessions.I train with him twice a week (completed 20 sessions), and I have already started noticing difference not just in the strength, but also during day to day activity.Looking forward to continue training with Federico in Leanforce method! Hoping to gain all strength back and improve over coming months!
Steve Blacher: I Started at Lean Force 20 sessions ago and I have been working with Frederico as my trainer. His knowledge of muscle groups and how he structures the trainings is by far the best training I have ever experienced. He watches every rep and pinpoints the correct micro movements to get the most out of each, and protect against injuries. Each session revolves around different muscles groups . We focus on one area at a time. Shoulders, back, forearms, and lower body sessions. In five weeks I can see and feel a dramatic difference. I work with him 3-4 times a week and will surely continue. I know that continued work with him will have me in the best physical shape I have ever attained.
Mark Freudenberger: Lean Force under the direction of Federico is a great place to receive excellent physical training. The team is very attentive, careful, and responsive to personal needs to work on specific muscle groups. After each session, I come out relaxed and refreshed!
Lois McCloskey: Federico is a remarkable trainer- I highly recommend him and the LeanForce method. He works well with all ages and stages because he listens well, encourages us to listen to our bodies, and is an interesting, kind human to boot. I enjoy every session and am feeling the strength and flexibility results. Makes my day Lois
Katherine Lantsman: I came to Frederico with a year old injury of right shoulder. At first lesson I could only raise my right arm to 90 degrees due to severe shoulder pain. My limited range of right shoulder affected me in many aspects of daily living as well as woke me up ant night. Over the past year I tried physical therapy, acupuncture and light therapy- without any results.I started training with Federico twice per week- typically spending one hour working with shoulders and another hour working with legs, however still addressing shoulder. Today, after only lesson 9, I can raise right arm 120 degrees, no longer have pain at night and am able to do many more activities of daily living w my right arm.I highly recommend Frédérico and his approach!Katherine Lantsman, MD
Robin Brown: I've been working with Federico for 9 months now and have completed the first conditioning phase (I took a hiatus over the summer). I've never felt stronger! I have always struggled with upper back pain, but I haven't had any issues during my time with him. I've worked with other trainers before and Federico is by far the most knowledgeable and pays the most attention to detail. I love that he constantly correcting my form and doesn't let me get away with chatting to avoid my work out :). When I started working with him, I was 5 months postpartum. He was able to help me re-enter the fitness world without making me feel uncomfortable or pushing me beyond my limits. His new space is super nice, clean, and has a wide range of equipment. Highly, highly recommend!!
Mark Lohr: After 10 weeks, seeing some nice results -posture, muscle tone and joint pain! Federico gets you going without pushing, but somehow at the end of the session you know you've trained. He's got a methodological approach and seeks a lot of feedback in terms of effort level, aches and pains, etc. Would recommend LeanForce for any starting fitness level.
Elaine Li: This is my first time going to a personal trainer and Federico is great. He tailors the workout to accommodate my shoulder injury. Highly recommend!
Rachel Alix: I started working with Federico at lean force a few months ago when I was constantly getting injured in boxing classes. I knew I needed to change things up, but I worried that ending such high intensity cardio would have a negative impact on my fitness level, and had little experience with lifting weights.I feel stronger and in better shape than I’ve ever been thanks to Federico and Lean Force training. He knows his stuff, and has been a pleasure to work with! He’s also very very conscious of making sure I’m not straining too much or injuring myself. Highly recommend lean force at any stage of your fitness journey.
Ruchi: Highly recommend for people looking to lean down and build strength! Federico is great, very knowledgeable about his field. He cares about your needs and personalizes everything. He's very patient and will definitely keep you motivated to keep going! There's also a nice space with plenty of equipment. You can't go wrong.
Adam Jørring: Hands down, Federico is the best personal trainer in Boston! Here's my story: I've always been very active, playing sports, soccer, running 1/2 and full marathons. Unfortunately, during Covid I got a knee injury while doing Crossfit. And I got quite out of shape while doing my physical therapy following the injury.Federico has been incredible at not only helping me get back into shape, but also adapting the weekly exercises to help me strengthen the muscles in my quads, hips, and glutes to help prevent future knee-related injuries.I always feel super motivated to go my sessions with Federico. I give him my highest recommendation!
Menaka Hampole: I've been training with Federico for several months and he's easiest the best trainer I've worked with. Prior to Covid, I was in pretty great shape but during Covid my fitness suffered and I was struggling to get back on a plan that was effective for me. He has a very systematic training system which is incredibly effective for someone at any stage of fitness. After working with him for the past several months, I can see my stamina coming back as well as my strength. He is very professional, encouraging, and knowledgeable. I would recommend training with him to anyone on the fitness spectrum.
Greg Brodsky: Federico is probably the best trainer in JP. He is a true student of fitness and has incredible knowledge of the best way to help different people. He has helped me to strengthen my body and also to reduce my injuries. Highly recommended!
Jazmin M: I’ve been training with Federico for a few months and I’m so happy with the results. He is a very kind, patient trainer who is very knowledgeable! I walk away every session feeling energized and connected to my body.
Akshay Neeli: Lean Force hands down, offers the best in training, in all of Massachusetts! I have been to several gyms and have worked with a plethora of trainers before Lean Force. Not one of them could help me reach my objective. Lean Force's staff has a working knowledge of everything that's being done which helped miraculously. My left elbow is completely made of titanium and as a result, I have a dominant side in my body. My objective was to balance all my muscles and overall, build more muscle and lose some of my belly fat. I am currently 20 sessions in and have already reached 50% of my goal. Additionally, my mental health has been MUCH better since I began training at Lean Force. I have a side hustle in Boston as a musician, and my pre-show nerves are in much better control now.We measured my muscle and fat mass to track progress and are making a note of it every couple of sessions, which is undeniable proof that our training regimen is working. No trainer I worked with in the past did this. When I pointed out the lack of results, they'd attribute it to things like my atypical muscular case, or my atypical diet.Another major reason I go to Lean Force is the trainer, Federico himself. He is highly educated, compassionate, patient and a huge source of motivation! He made me a personalized training plan and has absolutely no reservations in taking the extra time I sometimes need. He makes sure to do things in a way so there is never an injury or even strain on muscles. Unlike other trainers, he is not pushy and makes sure you are comfortable doing what you are doing while gaining the full benefit of it!I highly recommend Lean Force! Priced very reasonably and you will have the trainer's undivided attention throughout the session, so it's 150% worth every penny.
Jamiah Tappin: Professional, encouraging, and tough in all the right ways. Most importantly, I felt confident and comfortable during the sessions and saw results!

Stacey Schaedler Strength: what do users think?
Naeemah Smith: Super knowledgeable and Stacey's guaranteed get you motivated
Laci Weeks: I did Stacey’s Progress Not Perfection nutrition program and it was, hands down, the best nutrition program I have done! I am also a coach in the fitness industry, and it’s extremely difficult to find fitness professionals that will tell you the truth and provide great results! Even though the program was online (I live in a different state than Stacey), Stacey made it very interactive and personal. Stacey genuinely cares about the individuals she works with! I got great results with her guidance and have not only learned strategies for myself but for my clients as well. Stacey is the real deal!
Chanel Benoit: I started working with Stacey a little more than three months ago to help me get in shape for my wedding. I love her approach - I feel like I've (finally) found a workout routine that is sustainable and that I actually look forward to. Stacey keeps it fresh and challenging with workouts that change every so often, and she's taught me A LOT - from my posture and breathing to basic nutrition and how to put on muscle. Her personality + tunes are a plus. Highly recommend.
Susan Miele: I started training with Stacey about 3 months ago. She has converted me in this short time from someone who really “didn’t like” strength training to a dedicated 3x per week participant in her small groups and personal 1:1 sessions. Stacey takes the time to understand what you need to be healthier and stronger overall, ensuring correct form, and adjusting for your needs. Her progress over perfection mantra creates an open environment for me to build the functional strength I need to stay healthy as I age. Her great sense of humor, lack of judgement, and approachability make something that was formerly quite intimidating to me so accessible. I am grateful that I made that first appointment and look forward to getting stronger every week with Stacey’s hands on guidance and support.
Emily W. Matthews: Stacey has taught me so much! Her training is focused on making sure you’re doing the exercises correctly to avoid injury, as well as most efficiently so you’re not wasting any time or energy. I’ve never once felt injured after leaving her studio - she has actually troubleshooted various injuries I’ve had outside of the gym and worked correcting exercises into my program. She considers the whole picture, whether it’s breathing, self-myofascial release, nutrition, anything that makes your body feel good. You can tell it’s really important to Stacey that you understand what you’re doing and why. I was never into strength training before kids but now I love it and wish I had started with Stacey sooner.
Anya G: I started training with Stacey 4 years ago. Before I started taking her classes at South Boston Yoga I thought I knew everything about weight training, boy was I wrong. After a few months of her classes I decided to sign up for her personal training sessions and I could not be happier about that decision. I struggled with lower back pain and Stacey quickly realized that my horrible form while lifting weights was not helping the issues I had with my lower back. Not only did Stacey help me improve my form but she also geared my workouts around fixing the issues with my lower back. She helped me strengthen other muscles so that I stopped relying on my lower back to lift heavier weights. Any question or issue I may have Stacey has an answer for it whether it’s a different stretch, new breathing practice, or an exercise. She truly knows and understands the bodies of each individual client she has. Not only have I become stronger due to Stacey’s programs but I am also healthier, happier and more confident in my workout routine. I could not ask for a more dedicated trainer.
Raul Santiago: Stacey has taught me so much of what I know about diet and exercise. I spent so many years as a person that felt stuck in a body that NEEDED to be exercised and NEEDED to be restricted to a certain diet in order for it to work and look the way I wanted it to. It made every workout and every meal into a high stakes situation, and I found myself yoyoing between a “nice” and a “gross” body, and beating myself up over every food and exercise-related decision I made. I couldn’t make any of my strategies stick, because they ultimately placed too much stress and too much of a burden on myself to be sustainable.I started to work with Stacey with this mindset. Over time, she taught me how to make fitness and healthy eating part of my routine without letting it take over every fiber of my being and also how to have a healthier mindset when it comes to my body. On top of this healthier mindset and approach, I was able to achieve the progress and results I wanted! Her “progress not perfection” approach has changed how I approach my weight, exercise, and diet. One of the biggest things that I’ve gained through my time with Stacey is the ability to accept that not every bit of this fitness/healthy eating journey will be perfect, but you can always find meaningful signs of progress to keep you feeling strong. On top of all of this, she is an amazing person and trainer. She is so dedicated to her clients and works so hard to help us achieve our goals in a healthy way, and never makes you feel bad about your real life getting in the way. She is always understanding, but blunt and honest about what you need to do to get where you want to be and will always tell you the truth. She makes sure you not only focus on your workouts, but also that you focus on good recovery. Finally, you’ll never leave one of her workouts (whether in the small group or larger class setting) wanting more.I can confidently say that working with Stacey is the best thing I’ve ever done as part of this huge, endless journey that is fitness, bar none.
John Talanian: Thank you, Stacey, for nearly 11 years of training, nutrition coaching, support, and true friendship.I came to you having never used weights much less strength trained. I was just shy of a year out of rehab and scared to death about living life without my "crutches" and especially about working out despite being a varsity athlete in college. In a way that only you can, you were understanding, supportive, tough when you needed to be (pretty much every freaking workout!!), dedicated, and funny as hell! You always made me laugh; still do.In the time you've trained me I've gone from 217 pounds to a record low, as of yesterday, of 166 pounds. My body fat % has only been lower in college. I'm able to do anything you ask me to with a bar and weight plates, dumbbells, kettle bells, ropes, and even crank out 10-13 pull-ups.Your positive attitude towards life, even in the face of adversity, dedication to your clients (especially women), devotion to nutrition, excellence in postpartum advice/guidance, development of Smart Strength, countless entries into your blog where you open up your most intimate details of your life in the hopes that you may help even just one person, all combine to make YOU who you are. You've grown your business from nothing to a multifaceted business model that all revolves around helping another human. You are truly an inspiration to me and often times I recall some of your words of wisdom or tough love commentary to get me through a situation. I think all of your clients can relate to what I've said. You're consistent and unyielding in your determination to help others have a great life. All while being an incredible mother to Julia & Eva, wife to Anthony, and mom to your fur baby Tater.I'll miss my training sessions both with you as well as your AMAZING client base more than I can possibly express through words. You've assembled an amazing tribe. I hope to make some surprise visits to class when I'm able to get back to Boston. Until then I'll be sure to sign up for your Smart Strength program that I'll be able to do on my own on Martha's Vineyard.Thank you, truly, for everything.😊💛☀️🙏
Karen Bogle: When I started working with Stacey over 1.5 years ago, I was running about 5 miles a day three times a week coupled with spin classes. I liked being active, but as a result of my workout routine, I suffered from lower back pain and flexibility issues. I stretched a bit before/after running, but recognized I needed strength training to replace the bulk of my cardio workouts, Stacey helped me realize "less is more" and that strength training for me was key to addressing some of my issues to help make me stronger. Now I do strength training two times a week, walk a ton, supplement with a few spin classes and feel much better overall. Her motto "progress not perfection" is positive, motivating and manageable.I enjoy the morning workouts in a group setting. There's a supportive atmosphere in the gym. Stacey creates an individualized exercise program that I do for five weeks. Workouts focus on warm ups, and exercises that help strengthen my core, upper body, lower body and glutes!! She also offers the flexibility to fine tune an exercise or try something new during that timeframe. She offers advice to help me make needed corrections in my form and models the correct way to do an exercise to maximize the impact. As a result, my flexibility has improved and I definitely am stronger. In addition, I participated in Stacey's nutrition program and as a result I lost 5 pounds. I learned to increase my daily intake of protein which helped combat hunger. I also became more disciplined about cooking protein in advance for the week so it was easy to come home from work and pop something in the microwave to warm. A benefit, I became more aware of the importance of the mix of protein, carbs and fat in my diet.I highly recommend Stacey.
Nicole Rice: I could probably write a book about my experience with Stacey and how she has changed my life. But I'll try to keep this review short as I think many of us share similar stories about being unhappy with our bodies, with our lives, coming up with a thousand excuses for why timing isn't good or how xx fitness or nutrition approach is impossible, etc. So here it is and it's pretty simple: STACEY HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. And it's not just that I've lost weight and feel good - it's been changed to the core of my being. I started with the online nutrition program in January of 2018 and then started group training in April. And, months later, the nutrition program is MY way of existing. It's not some gimmick; it makes sense and it's doable and I feel a thousand times better and it is easy for me. I just do it, end of story. It's the same with Stacey's fitness plans. But really what I want to emphasize is this: Stacey models the type of behavior, commitment, vulnerability, humor, joy, love, strength, and support I want in my life. Stacey changes lives and I'm not sure she even knows it; she just does her thing, every single day, with integrity and energy and authenticity. And she does this through her classes, through her online programs and through social media. If you're not sure if she's the coach for you, just start following her on IG or FB and you'll be hooked within days.To summarize (I tried to keep it short but clearly I have a lot to say), Stacey has empowered me to get over my bullsh*t, to take risks (I bought a house in 2018 on my own!), to be vulnerable, to be open about my mental health challenges, to get outside more, to strive for better, to forgive myself for not being perfect (I got over that really fast after meeting Stacey), to swear more, and to essentially live my own life. She has inspired me in ways that can never be measured and I will be grateful to her forever for what she brings to my life.
ankita d: Stacey's mission in life is to help others feel incredible. She really commits to helping each one of her clients find their own magical balance of health, so we are all comfortable moving and shaking in our own skin. Stacey and I have worked together to revamp my diet so I can eat the kinds of foods I like, but still meet the macronutrient targets that my body needs. She has also helped me really embrace the "less is more" mantra of fitness. In fact, after six months of working out with Stacey (and zero time in the saddle), I CRUSHED my first Flywheel class, flying on torque of 41 when previously torque of 39 would kill me! And of course, I've seen improvements in my body - in fact, I've grown an inch taller thanks to all the core strengthening work Stacey's given me! Perhaps most importantly, Stacey creates an amazingly welcoming and accepting environment in her studio and a supportive community among her clients. We cheer each other on to lift heavier, go harder, and accomplish more. Even with 8 feet of snow outside, 0 degree temps, and the darkest February mornings, I actually look forward to my 7AM training sessions!
Karen Smith: A lifelong athlete, I started having back issues when I turned 40. After 3 rounds of PT, multiple visits to a chiropractor and 2 cortisone shots, I was finally feeling better, but was too scared to do much of any exercise for fear of injuring myself again. I wanted more than PT would give me, but I knew that I did not know how to make my exercise challenging and safe. That is when I found Stacey Schaedler, a strength and conditioning coach who works out of South Boston Yoga. Stacey listened to my history (L4-L5 disc issues), assessed my movement, assigned some corrective exercises and assured me that I was OK and ready to be challenged.Stacey challenged my pain, and helped me realize that even if I wasn't 100% I could still progress with simple modifications to stop the pain and build my strength. She challenged my idea of an effective workout and introduced strength work into my routine--body weight exercises I could do at home; kettlebell training to improve my core stability; and lots and lots of lunges (fire those glutes to protect my back!). She is also keen on building into our week rest and recovery days. The small group workout sessions are perfect for me. Everyone works on their own routine, but we provide support and encouragement to move through our workouts together. Stacey is always available, and will correct postures, make adjustments to exercises if needed and will ensure that we are moving correctly, in alignment and towards health. In the 7 years that I have worked with Stacey, I have dropped inches, lost a few pounds, gained them back in muscle and have realized how strong and able I am. My back feels pretty damn good, too!If you are ready to change the way you think about exercise; about exercise after injury; about the way you eat and the way you think about your overall health, I strongly encourage you to contact Stacey Schaedler.
Allison Jarmanning: Stacey is the best trainer I've ever worked with. She's not just making you work hard -- she's making you work smart. Her plans are personalized to your weaknesses and strengths. She motivates you to do your best. Each week, she pushes you to lift a little more, or make the moves a little bit harder. I highly recommend her small group training. Paired with her larger group classes, I feel stronger and better than ever. I'm so glad I found her!
jaclyn schelzi: After I had my son and was cleared at my 6 week appointment I was so anxious to lose the baby weight I jumped way too fast and aggressively into exercising again. Unfortunately this resulted in a pelvis stress fracture that significantly impacted my everyday life. I am so thankful I found Stacey as I navigate this injury and get back to a better, stronger me. Stacey is extremely knowledgeable , supportive and encouraging. She goes above and beyond- working with my PT and chiropractor to make sure everyone is on same page and treatment plan, checking in about my appointments and so on. She has completely changed the way I view and approach exercise in my life and taught me SO much about how to move safely in everyday mom life. I only wish I knew these things then so I was kinder and more gentle on my body. I will absolutely continue to work with Stacey as I continue to heal and when I am ready for baby #2 and beyond. I HIGHLY recommend new moms to reach out to Stacey and take time to allow your body to heal postpartum.
Michelle D: When I first found Stacey, I was on a mission to find a way to make fitness and exercise a part of my life. In college I was a D1 athlete, but I'm not what you're picturing - I was a coxswain for a Men's rowing team. Yes, that person that tells people what to do. I am maybe 100lbs soaking wet, and surprisingly shy and quite in a group. Once you get to know me, as Stacey has, however you would laugh at this description. After college, I went through a phase where I thought the solution was running. It was an easy and accessible way to workout - I could do it anywhere. But if I was being honest with myself, I've only ever run one 5k (with pressure from friends) and hated every minute of it.My boyfriend loves crossfit, but at my size and given what I knew from my college athlete days about how easy it is to get hurt, I knew that wasn't for me. I'd been to South Boston Yoga a few times before, and after reading some reviews on Yelp, decided to give Stacey's kettlebell strength class a try. Even in our early interactions, Stacey was the perfect balance of teaching and encouraging me to do more, while also sizing things down to my very beginner level. To this day, I can count on her to call me out when I'm taking things too easy, but also to know when I'm having an off day. She's always there to give me a modified version of the exercise when I'm struggling, using the wrong muscles, or just plan overthinking it. Not everyone is like me, but for me, Stacey also puts up with my millions of questions about how to do each exercise, and if I'm feeling a weird muscle, she takes the time to explain why.Over time I worked up the courage to ask about her Small Groups coaching and I only wish I'd done it sooner! I now train with Stacey and a bunch of newfound friends every Thursday morning. I love it! It's been over 2 years now (hard to believe!). I never have to think about, am I going to the gym? when? do I "feel like it"? And we have quite the community, which I feel is rare these days. We all have mornings we don't want to get up, but knowing that if I'm not there multiple people will reach out to me and ask why, combined with the energy of everyone once you're there, really does make it easier. We also buy packs of sessions and there's a (friendly) 24hr cancellation policy - these may seem simple, but they are enough accountability that it's much easier to show up each week. Plus, I always feel like my mornings are off to a better start on Thursdays when I see Stacey. If you told me two years ago, that any of these things were true, I would have laughed at you in utter disbelief, but now they all are:- I've done a completely unassisted chin-up- I have deadlifted over 100lbs- I own a kettlebell and love it- I've been to see Stacey every week unless I'm traveling or sick- I no longer have regular headaches / body-aches, and the rare occasion that I do, I know what I can do about themFor all these reasons (and many more), if you're on the fence about working with Stacey, give it a try - I promise you won't regret it. Start with a class, or meet her for a consultation. I'm sure you'll love her as much as we do!
Jennifer Anne Gavin: Stacey is without question the best trainer around. She is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough at figuring out what poor habits are leading to your aches and pains and limiting effective exercise. She is super smart about post-pregnancy and women’s bodies and the importance of careful strength training. I always leave sessions with Stacey feeling better than I arrived. She is down to earth and keeps me laughing thorough my workouts. Even after doing PT, women’s health classes, adjustments, massages, etc, Stacey has taught me more about my body and how to support it feeling its best than anyone else. She has no other agenda besides helping you become the strongest, fittest and most confident person you can be. Given her awesomeness, she also has created a great community of workout buddies from all ages and backgrounds who are all equally friendly and genuine. Cannot recommend Stacey as a person and her approach enough!

CLIENTEL3: what do users think?
Nora Elizabeth Sofia Gilligan: has quickly become one of those things for me. Movement of any kind has always been important to me, as much for the physical benefits as for a means of getting out of my own head. Most recently, I’ve been all over the damn place at random classes - everything from SolidCore to hot yoga to spinning. While I still like my ClassPass, I felt I’d hit a plateau with any real progress and wanted something with more intention. A Google search led me to C3 and I haven’t looked back since. There are a million things I love about C3. Here are my top three:--- The trainers are exceptional. Each has their own unique background and way of doing things and I can’t think of better people to spend 6am sessions with.--- I crave variety and C3 delivers. On any given day, I might be working on my pullup progressions, mobility training, or Wing Chun (a form of Kung Fu
Tyro Driver: C3 offered me consistent and systematic approaches to training and most importantly achieving personal goals. The coaches are friendly, informative and professional. I highly recommend this place.
Sam McCrimmon: The team at Clientel3 are fantastic - a personalized, detailed approach to your fitness goals as an individual, conducted at what essentially is a private training space with excellent equipment. Alex's energy, enthusiasm and knowledge helped me to achieve goals and see results quickly, and set up a sustainable approach to progress that I can execute on my own to ensure I get where I want to be and beyond. The approach is friendly, professional and responsive. 100% recommend if you want to take your training to the next level and unlock new achievements!
Hannah Crosley: If you are searching for a great new gym with trainers that care holistically about you as a person, seriously look no further. As someone who travels frequently for work, I was very fortunate to stumble upon this gym while working in Boston for three months. I have trained with the very best trainers (Maura, Alex, and Addison) at Clientel3 and they have completely changed my mindset on health and fitness. Let me also preface this with saying that before starting here I have tried so many different programs (Orange Theory, Pure Barre, SoulCycle, kickboxing, etc) and never loved it or could stick with it. That changed when I found C3 - I genuinely can say that I look forward to working out with their customized plans targeted towards my body’s abilities and goals. On top of that, I have never felt judged for not being in the best shape, only encouraged to keep working. I leave each session feeling stronger, mentally healthier, and empowered to be the best version of myself. Thank you C3!
Kristina R: The staff at C3 are all amazing and I have really enjoyed my experience since joining! The coaches are extremely knowledgeable and supportive and you'll truly get a workout customized to meet your goals . The space is nice and clean and has really great equipment that will keep you from getting bored. I've gotten so much stronger since joining - they are the best!
Sophie Michels: C3 has helped me accomplish so many of my fitness and wellness goals with great personal training and a regimen tailored to what I want. Unlike many other gyms I've trained at, my C3 trainer is a great resource for answering any questions I have outside of our scheduled sessions about my diet and other forms of training. When some of my fitness goals changed my trainer quickly shifted our regimen to match what I wanted. Would absolutely recommend C3!
Jim O'Neill: I have experienced tremendous improvement in strength, flexibility, and overall well-being since working with Patrick at Clientel3. And they take COVID safety protocols seriously and have managed through the pandemic with a commitment to clients’ concerns, health risks, and need for flexibility. You will find the highest quality of training and a level of expertise that you don't find at any other personal training studios. The facility is top-notch and they offer a variety of areas of focus. From lifting to MovNat, you can focus on your training interesting and seek new challenges. The trainers here have advanced degrees and in-depth knowledge and clearly want to help you reach your goals. The trainers and clientele are very down to earth and accessible--you will find a growth mindset with no intimidation factor.
Tim Latham: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityC3 is the best! The trainers are knowledgable, caring and personable, the facilities are top notch and the location is great. I can't recommend this place enough!
Claudia Hankowski: Started working out with Chi (and other trainers) about 3 months ago and i cannot recommend them enough. Chi has not only helped me reach my goals, but has taught me a new way of life - I am overall healthier & happier, all while eating more and working out less. These guys are the real deal. 5 stars!
Elizabeth A.: I have only good things to say about my experience at Clientel3. It's been an investment, for sure, but hands down one of the best I have ever made. The training is highly personalized, following a thorough fitness evaluation and a discussion of goals. Whatever your level of fitness (I was a cardio queen who could barely do three pushups when I started), you will feel welcomed and supported. And you will experience real (visible + measurable) results that will inspire you to keep up the good work. I honestly only planned to train here for three months, but now I can't imagine leaving. The C3 team has become a bit of an extended family - I'd come in every day if I could afford it. I really appreciate the team approach - so each client benefits from the collective wisdom of all the trainers - and how invested the trainers are in their clients' success. The camaraderie is great. As for the space, it's super clean and fully equipped with lots of light and a great minimalist vibe. They nailed the aesthetics along with everything else.
Leah Ratnofsky: The trainers here are super knowledgeable and very motivating. After years of working out on my own and with other trainers and seeing no results, I decided to check out c3. I wasn’t too hopeful given my previous experiences, but this place is different. I’m finally seeing results and feeling stronger.
Courtney Scharneck: I really enjoy how much the exercises that I do at CLIENTEL3 challenge me to push myself. I have been training with Chi for awhile and I really enjoy the amount of thought and planning that goes into my workouts.
Millie deOlio: The 6-week Challenge was just what I needed to get me out of my fitness & food funk. Chi Bang and his kick ass crew helped me find my way back. I was given a strict diet to follow, and 3 days of mandatory time at Clientele3. Did I meet my goal? No, but that wasn’t what I was looking for in that short amount of time. I was looking to get the motivation and focus necessary to get rid of the #30 lbs that I had put on an already overweight frame in the past year. I started the Challenge right before the holidays, not easy but not impossible. I was definitely more aware of what I put in my mouth, and it was easier since alcohol, sugar, and certain carbs weren’t on my list of approved foods. For me, the salvation was the mandatory workout 3x a week. I would leave drenched in sweat, sore, and ready to pass out. What I truly liked most about those workouts, was the camaraderie among a group of people at very different levels of fitness working out together and cheering one another on, all sorts of shapes, colors, sizes, ages, orientations, and identifications working on ourselves. The trainers were all great, each one with interesting workouts and words of encouragement. I was incredibly out of shape, but I got better over the 6 weeks, and continue to improve, just don’t ask me to do sit-ups. The journey continues!
Ann-Marie Roberts: I went to Chi Bang Bodies as part of a challenge. With that said I went to my initial meeting with Yen Silva--an integral team member of Chi Bodies. I weight in and a full conversation with Yen about my goals. I weighed in at 198 lbs. Yen, then email me my meal plan, recipes and at homework outs called 7 min in heaven (loved that name) I got started right away. I've been on a weigh loss journey for sometime now and felt I needed a boost. The following week I met the other challenges at the Chi Bang Studios. I weighed in again and my weight had dropped to 193 lbs. My 5 lbs in one week weight loss was based on their meal plan and me trying a different work out. Needless to say I was stoked. The challenge got started all challengers are required to show up for classes 3 times a week in addition to working out at home/gym. I followed the meal plan (which required a scale) and did my Chi exercise and my at home/gym exercises. The meal plan BLEW it out the water. It took my journey to whole new level.I didn't reached my goal, but I gained knowledge. I am much more aware of what goes into my body. I am much more aware that I need to move to maintain my new lifestyl. I am much more aware of the energy I have to complete my task. I am much more aware of my form (very important when excising). Chi and his staff are experience and knowledgeable. After this challenge I am not able to go back to my old habits. For example I meal prep every evening for the next day. I have more time to sleep doing this. I understand that I have to go beyond cardio to achieve my goals ( treadmills and stair master are great but weights are you best friends to).I unequivocally, recommend Chi Bang Bodies. The staff go above and beyond to make sure I was challenged. I absolutely appreciate Justin Kompf (high five King), Patrick Michaels Jennings (the form king), Laura Alessi (The booty blaster lady), Carol Lee Butler (bad ass) and Denise Rodriguez (the hostess with the mostess). I cannot forget Chi ( he's the one that make sure you squeeze that final one of your last rep).Their approach is all about community, accountability and proper fuel.Although I did not receive my deposit of $600 back (didn't meet my goal as I mentioned) Chi is giving those of us that didn't meet our goal an initial credit of $300 towards classes or nutrition. Moreover, they've started a new program that the 2nd $300 will go towards. The new program requires us to go in once a week for 12 weeks. In this program they're going to give us a series of exercises to do on our own they'll show us proper form to complete the exercises. I am excited. I really miss going to the Chi Bang Studios.I had a lot of fun with my challenge. Thank you for all that I have gained. I have not gained any weight because of what I've learned from Chi and his staff.
D. Roberts: I participated in a challenging 6 Week Fitness Challenge with Chi Bang Bodies. The staff, Denise, Yen, Laura, Carol, Justin, Patrick, Matt, & my ChiMonster Chi, are all fantastic people who like myself, are humans. For 6 Weeks, they dedicated themselves to approx. 80 strangers of all shapes, sizes, and fitness levels and I appreciate their commitment to myself and everyone else that participated.Upon my initial conversation with Laura, I asked questions that she was not afraid to answer and gave me honest answers that coincided with the information obtained at my initial interview with Yen. I was lucky enough to meet Carol during my interview & fell in love with her body, I was like, damn, I need to be trained by her.....LOLMy 1st class was tough but I almost died during my 2nd class, not really, but I did feel like I was going to puke...TMI, I know. Anyhow, I yearned for more and loved the variations of exercises in each class. I learned proper form, exercises that I can do on my own at the gym or even at home. Best of all, I learned how to determine what and how different foods benefit me and my #chibangbodygoals.I didn't give the 5th star because in the very beginning, I felt a little uncomfortable to inquire more in depth information regarding my individual meal plan. However, I am a vegetarian and was really limited with my options, so that made life a little more difficult for me. If I wanted to lose the 20lbs in 6 weeks, I had to make sacrifices AND those sacrifices definitely made a difference in how I looked and felt.I was motivated by the staff during fitness sessions, within our Secret FB page, & surprisingly..... while I was on my overseas Holiday Vacation. My only regret is that I cannot afford to continue to workout with them but I would recommend ChiBangBodies to anyone looking to make some REAL LIFESTYLE CHANGES. I also met some really cool people that I hope to continue a good friendship with. Everyday I think about them and pray that I can still make them proud.....BOOM!!!!!!
tanya tandon: If you want to get duped and lose $600 do the 6 week challenge here. They hand you a generic diet plan, tell you that it’s an achievable goal to lose 5% body fat in 6 weeks and then when it’s over, they say ooops it was actually a very hard challenge. The people who run this place are totally unethical. However to give credit where it’s due, the instructors are wonderful and very knowledgeable.
Celeste Myers: The Highlights:As a 46 year old with zero formal fitness training - Chi Bang Fitness got me acclimated to what it means to adapt a healthy lifestyle. They provided me with a food and fitness regimen that was instantly actionable. After participating in the fitness challenge - within 6 weeks I lost over 19 lbs and am well on my way to a new, healthier me. I felt so great and was so inspired by my results from this mere snapshot in time - I renewed for 12 months. The facility is well equipped, CLEAN, contemporary and convenient to get to by car or public transportation.Chi Bang and his instructors are phenomenal in terms of expertise, ability to connect with their clients and pushing them while making them feel comfortable in enhancing their abilities. My Experience:When I first came across the opportunity to train at @ChiBang Bodies I instantly thought 'I am way over my head and out of my league'. But something inside clicked and I recognized that this is what I've been searching for: someone to tell me what to do and how to do it in order to get my fitness on the right track. With this internal competing dialogue going on I attended the info session at the impressively appointed facility. The atmosphere says 'elite athletes work out here', but the community that is @chi bang and his team, that operates says 'we can help you reach for your goals. We're here for you.'I still had some trepidation about my ability to function in this environment - but the one thing I know for sure from life experience is - most times you don't know how good of a swimmer you are until you wind up in over your head.Chi, Carole, Patrick, Laura, Justin, Matt, Yen, Denise - are just an amazing group of people that care about the work they are doing and the folks they're doing it with.
Ramen: When i left the the challenge i was a little dissapointed. I felt like i failed. I wanted so bad to loose the weight and beat the challenge. I realized and even knew beforehand 20 lbs is A Lot of weight to loose in 6 weeks with normal maintanable weight loss being 1 to 2 pounds weekly. During the challenge I worked out 3 days at clientele, 4 days at my regular gym and not seeing much weight loss but noticing and feeling the shrinking process of my hard work. i feel like my hard work was being measured incorrectly which in turn made me feel like a failure because i was not seeing the pounds drop as expected and instead was seeing a fat and inches loss instead of a pound loss. Which in turn made me feel better about myself and my hardwork. (These are different things when lifting weights and not having cardio based workouts. Like hiit bootcamps do.)I used the challenge as an opportunity to workout at clientel cause quite frankly i knew i could not afford to workout there other wise . Anyways i continue today 3 weeks later, using the meal plan i felt best fit me and im seeing weight loss and muscle definition and im grateful for the opportunity and the reset in my errors of eating. i left with new exercises i use at the gym and feel better about my progress that continues way past the challenge. The challenge was just the right push i needed and im grateful. The staff is knowledgeable and wanted us to succeed. I am succeeding but at my own pace. Today i weighed myself this morning and i was surprised. Since i left the challenge ive lost 5 more pounds in 3 weeks. Total 9 pounds. Which is normal and healthy and makes me feel fabulous. What bogs me is only loosing 4 lbs during the challenge. I did follow the meal plan guidlines. Maybe my body had to detox and reset me for continued weightloss. As Chi said, Every Body is different. The challenge was an ambitious goal from the start. Im not sure how many people were actually succesful because those results were not published for us to see and even my own pictures and results have been kept from me even though i asked for them and was told they were working on it and then a post said that we needed to write a review in order to get them. Which i feel like i paid for given i didnt technically win the challenge my money was kept so that didnt make for a good ending. There were certain things along the way that i felt could have been better. The classes had large class sizes. 1 trainer running large classes when we started with two. Too much weight lifting not enough high intensity exercises. This is not a bootcamp gym, its a boutique personal training studio. I thought i was going to recieve more personal type training but got bootcamp style that left something to be desired for weight loss goals. In conclusion, i had fun with the whole experience.Anyways. I hope everyone is still making progress and feeling better after the challenge and are using what they learned and gathered to continue on their fitness goals. :)
Allison Archambault: I absolutely love working out here. Gym has Jacobs Ladder, Battle Ropes, turf-style flooring, sandbags, punching bags, TRX bands, and many other implements of sweet, sweet torture. Some conventional, and some not. Spotlessly clean facility. And most importantly, the experienced, knowledgeable, massively-positive and supportive trainers to deliver the good old fashioned ass-kicking you need. The team of trainers here are highly informative, attentive, and PRESENT. Always watching form and making corrections. Sometimes the littlest nuances making a huge difference in intensity.😅After my first 6 weeks of training here I’ve lost 3% of my bodyfat (23.7 to 20) and went from a size 6 to a 4 though my glutes are higher and mightier than ever. 🦍
Charlene Guillot: I was a 6 week challenger. I joined the program 5 months after I delivered my daughter and I was struggling with my image. I was very skeptical in my abilities to loose the amount of weight that was expected but I took the challenge seriously. Over the weeks I pushed my limits, enjoyed more and more the toughness of the workouts and the mastering of the exercises proposed. I learn to eat the right food amount and the most important point is that I feel better. I am glad I participated to this challenge, I have more energy and I know i am able to loose the weight I want to.My major criticism is that the gym is only open for the classes so you need another membership for the cardio training.I want to thank all the team for their help and effort, wish you all the best.
vilda cea-perez: I had an amazing experience working out at Clientel3. The coaches are really nice and definitely will make you work a sweat . They go the extra mile to get to know you and sit down to talk about reaching your main goals. They send motivating text messages daily and weekly and check up on you to make sure you are not fallowing out from your goals . Their meal plan is very easy to understand and to fallow . I would 100% recommend this to anybody that is serious about losing weight or getting in shape to get in contact with them . I guarantee that they will make you work your ass off every time and you'll definitely will not regret it .

Victoria Rossi: I recently started attending classes and I am obsessed! It’s always been hard for me to start new fitness classes because I find it can be intimidating. When I arrived for my first class the instructor showed me how the treadmill worked and explained the structure of the class. I instantly felt welcome and comfortable. The workouts & class energy is so motivating and there is an assortment of different classes and class times on the schedule.Highly recommend!
Victoria Liquori: Great workouts with great instructors. These classes are for people of all fitness levels and abilities. Everything is modifiable. The instructors are super encouraging, but also ask about any injuries at the beginning of class and are not overbearing. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good workout.
Maggie Mollaghan: Love MYSTRYDE and the running/ fitness community that comes with each class!
Jackie Kokomoor: MYSTRYDE is the place to go. Smaller class sizes, motivating and knowledgeable instructors, and a vibe that gets moving first thing in the morning fun!
Ellie Miller: Great workout, better than barrys
Madeleine Molleur: I never thought someone like me, who isn’t a great runner, would love a class like this, but I thoroughly enjoy it! Class feels like it flies by, but definitely leaves a long lasting impact and is very humbling. Definitely recommend it to everyone, not just runners!
Tiffany Byrne: MYSTRYDE is the most amazing work out. Full hour work out! I’m a mom and all the times works for me. The gear and the deals are amazing. 10/10
Maria Rago: Amazing workouts, the instructors are so energetic and push you to do your best. I always leave feeling like I got a great workout in
Chrissy Schmitzer: MyStryde has restored my love for running. The classes are designed for beginners and advanced runners alike. The classes go beyond your run with strength and stretching. The instructors make a point to know you and cheer you on!
Kelsey Doherty: Great workout- these classes supported by great instructor staff are always what you need them to be on the entire spectrum of what your body is capable of that day. As someone who is returning to running after a long injury and hiatus, I was intimidated to go to a running class and it has been far from my worry.
Amanda Ek: Love the Mystryde experience! All of the instructors are very friendly and bring the energy. Additionally, the studio is always extremely clean. Couldn't speak more highly of Mystryde and this is coming from someone who isn't a "runner"!
Matthew Rice: Great classes with a good mix of pure running, pure strength, or both. Instructors are good as well and each has their own style. You can also adjust the difficulty of the class to your personal fitness level so you get a great workout regardless of whether you're an elite athlete or a newbie.
Nicole Kousmanidis: MYSTRYDE is just fantastic. Unlike other studios in the area, MYSTRYDE did not shorten the length of their classes after COVID. They still have 60 minute classes and you work the entire time! They don't cut your time short, which is so refreshing. They truly make it worth every penny! The coaches are fantastic and it truly is such a welcoming community! It is not cliquey at all!
Ariel Schuman: MYSTRYDE is an awesome work out. Everyone at the studio is super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I've done similar workouts before but I love that MYSTRYDE isn't intimidating. The way the class is leveled makes you feel strong and powerful - regardless of your running experience. You aren't made to feel "bad" for not hitting a certain level because of the ranges they offer. It's never boring and I leave feeling incredible! I can't say enough good things!!
Elyssa Carlson: I absolutely love MYSTRYDE. By far the best workout I’ve had from any class I’ve taken so far in Boston.
Breanna Arnold: I am so happy one of my friends referred me to MyStryde a few weeks ago. It has been my favorite workout class in Boston!! The instructors have all been amazing and you can do everything at your own pace.
Tatiana J: BEST workout ever!!
A K: This is not a gym for running. They expect you to follow the class routine and they do not like people who are doing their own running routine. I will not go back.
Noemi Jiminian: Positive:Professionalism,QualityGreat workout, and even better crew. Definitely recommend if you want a bit of a challenge.
Emily Centrella: Positive:QualityMy favorite workout studio in Boston!!! The classes are challenging, fun, and it's a welcoming community. 10/10 recommend to anyone in the area!
Katherine Lombardi: My favorite workout class in Boston! The instructors are amazing. You’re able to go at your own pace and get out of the class what you put into it. You don’t feel pressured and all the instructors I’ve had thus far have been super high energy and great at really motivating you throughout the class. I look forward to each and every class!

Commonwealth Sports Club: what do users think?
Ben Weaver: I recently joined CSC and it’s a wonderful facility. Very spacious and lots of equipment. All the staff members I’ve interacted with have been very helpful, kind, and welcoming. Highly recommend CSC!!
Joe Swanson: Great staff, great facilities, love working out here! Doesn't get too crowded and theres plenty of wonderful places in the area to visit for a healthy post workout snack hahaha
Faical Rayani: They were not able to provide a guest pass or a trial period so I can try the gym.I've never heard of a gym that doesn't have a guest pass or a trail period.Seems like a bad policy for attracting customers.Certainly did not attract me.
S Morales: I've spent my time at a lot of gyms, either attending or working, and I love the time I've spent at CSC! Staffers and members are friendly. The pool is a big plus, and the yoga classes were really well taught. I recommend this Allston gem to anyone wanting a well rounded gym experience.
tony nguyen: The best gym with a nice salt water and steam room, great amenities!
Duncan Hilton: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityThis is the best gym I've ever been to - the kindness of the staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the support of the trainers. I highly recommend it!
Brian Hall: Great staff, great equipment
Cole Kerr: Great facilities (and a nice pool) for a good price. Most importantly they refunded me very generously for several months of subscription when I mistakenly forgot to opt out of the post-COVID reactivation. After my horrific experiences with Boston Sports Club this was a very pleasant surprise! If I ever live in the neighborhood again I will gladly reopen my account with them. They take care of their customers, which is a rare quality in this industry imo
Claudia Meyer: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityVery clean and great layout. Great services!
Paula K: Great place. Great people. Very clean.
Melchior Maetzener: I miss swimming
Grant LaPierre: Overpriced planet fitness with poor management
Alexandria Will-Cole: Critical:Communication
Michael Logar: Best gym in Boston!
Masha Sukher: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Ann Whitney Freeman Sands: I love my gym
Yuge: Very good
Yeonsoo Kim: I love the place, group fitness classes and the facility itself are all very nice. However the staff there was SUPER unfriendly and rude. I loved going there for few weeks, but totally changed my opinion about this place after calling them for something and the attitude was totally unexpected. I called to change my membership from $79 regular membership to $900 personal training membership (3x week). Which I consulted about before even signing up. I talked with three employees from the club and they all said I could change my membership whenever I wanted to, there is a 4month commitment to the regular membership but it wouldn't matter if I changed to the personal training membership. However the front desk person kept telling me I am not allowed to change my membership because I didn't fulfill my 4months. She said I would have to keep my membership and purchase extra personal training sessions on top of the membership because I have to keep it for 4 months. I told them names of people I consulted about this but she said "You must have misheard her" which really threw me off- I did not mishear, I double checked and triple checked because I was interested in personal training from the beginning, and plus I am trying to pay more to the club and they are not letting me do it?????Anyways it turns out I was right, I am allowed to change my membership(of course, $79 vs. $900 duh) and not worry about the 4 month commitment I had with regular membership. BUT the front desk person DID NOT SAY a single apology, all the confusion, all the arguments, she didn't have the basic info she should have had; she was like, oh it seems I can do that, and I asked couple more questions afterwards but she sounded like she was so annoyed by that point and kept repeating the same thing she already told me and telling me to come to club on Monday and figure things out. Worst customer service experience, the person I talked to was super unfriendly and rude, almost made me NOT want to go to the club anymore.
Susan Fried: This is the first time I've ever been consistently motivated to stick with a training program long-term. It's because of the staff at CSC. They are friendly, professional, and make sure I have a training program customized for my needs. The facilities are always immaculate and comfortable. Instead of a big "corporate machine", it's small enough so I feel like it's "my gym". They greet everybody by name and create a warm and welcoming environment. I also like that there is a Physical Therapy practice on site! After an orthopedic surgery the Physical Therapist and a Personal Trainer worked collaboratively to maximize my recovery. It's a winning combination.
vincent benetreau: Definitely the best gym in the Boston area. The staff is amazing, knowledgable and always ready to help. They don't have every machine but all the equipment is in great condition and you can tell maintenance is done often. Salt water pool, steam room, sauna, and HOT TUB! Besides all that, the real plus is the atmosphere: the staff works hard to create a very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, so everyone is nice. You can still get in the zone and do your thing, but it's a much nicer environment than most gyms I've been too. I had to change gyms because I moved to another part of Boston, and I miss CSC dearly!
Meifeng Jiang: Good service

Rx Strength Training: what do users think?
Jill Schuster: So great to have connected with the nice folks at Rx Strength Training when I was visiting this week in the Boston area. All the right equipment and plenty of it. Lots of weightlifting platforms, full sets of plates in either kg or lbs. Very welcoming atmosphere and it was easy to see that the regulars had excellent gym etiquette - even the "fur members", who seemed very comfortable in this gym. Thanks for hosting me when I needed to drop in. Highly recommend!
Heather Fink: Lifting gyms can Be intimidating places, especially for a woman. I started coming to Rx strength training to attend acro yoga classes at equilibrium, but decided to take personal training classes because the staff is so friendly. When you first walk in the space you are greeted by a pride/trans flag and a Black Lives Matter flag. Even though I don’t have one of those marginalized identities, it made me feel like it was an inclusive and empathetic space and set a tone of belonging. The gym is non pretentious, It’s not an equinox and doesn’t pretend to be, it’s in a big warehouse what you get instead are staffed gym hours with actual trainers who can answer questions in case you need help with your form. Most of the time I’m there I see the owner giving private lessons or teaching a class. There are several pieces of equipment that other gyms don’t have that have made weightlifting Accessible to me, I greatly appreciate The ssb bar, when I couldnt lean now to lift a low bar, it made squats possible for me. I also love working with my trainer (John). He has been so patient with me and didn’t let me give up when I was struggling to learn to form for deadlifts. He understood how my body structure made it difficult and suggested a wider stance, which was a game changer for me. Only downside is it’s lack of air conditioner, but summer is short.Glad I did the personal training pack and happy to recommend the studio (and equilibrium acrobatics) to others.------ Updating review on 1/24/23 for additional Praise,I am currently 5 months pregnant and have been working out in this weightlifting gym during my entire pregnancy. The staff are amazing, Coach Jeff and Nadia have helped me by adapting some of the workouts for the RX fit class so that they are appropriate as my body changes and center of gravity change.I have a history of chronic back pain due to an injury 11 years ago, my Chiropractor said that my posture and my back is actually in better shape 5 months pregnant than it was before pregnancy. I know that this is due to the squats and workouts I have been doing at RX, which has been the only change in my routine since finding out I am pregnant.Furthermore, the people in the RX Fit class are so encouraging. I was nervous they would think that I am lame because I lift lighter due to being pregnant, but everyone is so supportive and cheers each other on there. So grateful I found this gym.
Cole Harris: Friendly, welcoming staff, a diverse selection of weights, kettlebells, and other implements to get you strong. Commuting from South Boston to Rx, the location in East Somerville makes it easy come and go. Will continue to enjoy my trips to Rx. Thank you!
Matt Johnson: Fantastic welcoming fitness facility! Everyone is very nice and top notch coaches.
Michael Tucker: I have been a member of Rx Strength Training for over 2 years. It is a welcoming, inclusive environment filled with friendly members, helpful staff and knowledgeable trainers. Recommended!
Tuis: Im wondering if the little olympic weightlifting room with the orange/brownish walls are open for public use or is that a part of the gym normal people cant enter. Because in the video that i saw it doesnt show that room and it only shows the main part of the gym with the grass and the poweracks.
Matt Tatkow: This is a top notch facility! It's awesome to have access to an elite training facility and equipment at a good price. The environment is terrific because both the coaches and the members have a very high level knowledge of how to improve fitness. They also almost have every piece of equipment that you could possibly desire and even when it's busy you can easily get your training done. A big focus on power lifting/olympic lifting here, but you can train for any sport here. Motivating environment.
rachael dewing: Positive:Quality
Ben Duffy: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Ken Homan: I move regularly and have lifted in dozens of gyms in dozens of cities--Rx Strength is easily top 3. The staff, equipment, atmosphere, training programs, and teams are superb. Staff: knowledgeable, professional, easy-to-reach, responsive. Equipment: stellar, constantly evaluated, regularly updated. I do Olympic and powerlifting and found anything I could want. Atmosphere: I was in the midst of grad school and nobody batted an eye if I need to quick knock out a few pages of reading; everyone was welcoming and generous; and the teammates were great. Programming: individualized, helpful, and made big strides in my form (particularly in Oly). Teams: great fun, great mutual care and support--what more could I want?
Eric Leach: Had a lot of fun here. This gym offers an Olympic weightlifting club, as well as the equipment to solo train in weightlifting, power lifting, or any barbell training if that's your thing. They also have kettlebell classes with great coaching and a great open gym setup. LGBTQ+ friendly. Staff was super nice. Only left because I had to move, but if you want a gym with terf, barbells, metal and bumper plates, kettlebells and dumbbells' this is the best gym in the area, in my opinion.
Ben A: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityAwesome place
Michael Luu: Trained here a handful of times. Unfortunately the weightlifting room is relatively small given the amount of people training there. Limited coaching options and availability. Inconsistent quality in coaching, some coaches were extremely lacking compared to others. I'd recommend searching for a different gym.
Lauryn Ginsburg: Great facility and great coaches! Jeff is a kettlebell guru and Alex's USAW weightlifting club is top notch!
Katelyn Reuther: Dropped in the gym for the last 2 mornings and could not have been more impressed. Before our trip, I had called and left a message asking about dropping in; Jeff called back within an hour and encouraged us to stop by. I was excited to hear they had platforms and kilo plates! My brother loved all the fun toys: sleds and sand bags! The gym was well kept and the most organized I have ever seen. There were so many pieces of equipment, but everything had a place and was returned to that place. This left plenty of space for various activities. I was also impressed observing Jeff coach and how the individual members moved so well. The staff was very friendly. Showers and parking were handy too. If I lived in this area of Boston, Rx Strength Training is definitely where I would be training!
Michael Bahrynivsky: A good mix of cardio and strength classes. There’s also the weekend stretch and Viking class(a must try) both Jeff and Meg are fantastic trainers. Great place for all levels from beginners to experts.
Robert O'Donoghue: I have trained with Jeff for 7 years, and I cannot recommend him enough. Jeff is very enthusiastic, and brings a passion to training that makes it very enjoyable as well as fruitful. Jeff expertly tailors a program to what you are looking to accomplish, and always keeps up with the latest training innovations. I don't think I have ever seen someone enjoy their job as much as Jeff, and that is reflected in training sessions. He pushes you to achieve, and does so in a very positive manner.
Kate: RX Strength Training is amazing! When I started diverse training options and a family atmosphere were some of the key selling points, those same points have kept me coming back for more than 4 years. Back then, I couldn't go up a flight of stairs without getting winded and had to do most exercises without weights. Now I compete and win StrongMan competitions. I owe my success to the knowledge the amazing trainers provide and the support from the other athletes. I strongly encourage anyone to try RX Strength Training out, you will find classes that meet your needs and interest!
Garrett Buxton: Jeff and his team are rock star trainers. I was not a hardcore weights guy or strength-focused athlete before RxFit. But I wanted to give it a try. Jeff is the friendliest guy and made me feel comfortable when I decided to walk in one evening. I've been a member of the gym ever since. Super knowledgeable, focused on safe training, growth, and the commitment of their athletes, the RxFit team is unbeatable. Highly recommend.
Shawn Goodman: This gym has everything and the trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Always a great workout!
