Katie Lavery: Stumbled across Machu Picchu the other day after meeting a friend at Bow Market only to find that all the food stalls were closed. It was a busy night, but service was quick and our waiter was pleasant. We ordered yuquitas, aji de gallina, and lomo saltado. The lomo saltado was tender and flavorful. We also enjoyed the aji de gallina, but thought the sauce could use a bit more spice. Price was as expected for a restaurant in this area. Great experience overall at this cozy neighborhood spot!

Dan M: Came in here a few weeks back. Well I ordered from this location, not knowing that it had basically closed and had been absorbed by its sister Machu Pichu down the street. I always felt it weird they were so close but MC was certainly more causal. I ended up calling ahead and walking to MC before realizing they had combined.I used to come here often when I lived in Porter pre-Covid. Best sandwich in Union in my opinion but that has certainly changed. By far the biggest disappointment is moving from a French bread type roll to a bulky sandwich roll. Completely changes the taste. Not the same amount of rotisserie chicken as it used to be and most of it was dry. It’s a shame as I used to really dig this spot. The fries were rather hard too but they did provide the same dressing condiment as before. I’ll likely avoid this in the future. Please change back the bread you use!

Jea Kim: Recently got the mixed ceviche, lomo saltado, tamal, and the chicken dinner for delivery. While they weren’t the most affordable Peruvian food option in the area, they certainly had some great dishes worth trying. The mixed ceviche and lomo saltado were our favorites, and I especially liked the refreshing aftertaste of the ceviche. Tamal was also interesting, but a bit too heavy to be an appetizer. The roasted chicken was just okay, but fortunately, the sauces made them miles better. We also wanted to try the Inca kola and their specialty corn drink, but they were unfortunately stolen by our Grubhub driver. Nevertheless, it was an enjoyable dinner overall.

If I go again, I'll prob get a full chicken.

I came to visit my family here at East Boston and I took my niece and nephews out and one of my nephews suggested this place. The first comment the waitress made was that they don’t sell Central American food or Mexican food. She suggested us to go to the Mexican restaurant across the street because is cheaper and showed us the cheap part of the menu. She was grossly disrespectful and suggested us to leave a couple of times because “la comida peruana es muy diferente que la comida de Centro America y a lo mejor no les guste” I decided to take my niece and nephews to a better quality restaurant and I’m so glad I end up leaving and didn’t put with her humiliations. I will never put a feet in this restaurant again this place lost all my respect. This is not the right way to treat a women with children.

It is all authentic Peruvian food with some variations.I ate Tallarin Verde and it was like a Fiesta in my mouth. The pesto sauce on the pasta seasoned and made the flavor of the pasta pop. The meat that was served with it was so tender and had so much flavor. I also ate Lomo saltado. It had the same meat from the Tallarin Verde and some well seasoned onions and peppers.The atmosphere of the restaurant is great as well because they play traditional music and have led lights that make the restaurant look awesome. My only minor problem was that the restaurant was small, but they have outdoor seating for when it gets warmer outside. I loved this restaurant so much and I am going to come back here very very soon.

Samuel Lipoff: Really excellent. Humble place with excellent food. Of course the rotisserie chicken is what they're justifiably famous for, but other Peruvian dishes are terrific too. Beef heart anticuchos are delicious and moist, served with excellent potatoes and corn. Ceviche pescado could not have been fresher. Ají de gallina, my favorite Peruvian dish, is done so beautifully here, with shredded rotisserie chicken in a luscious mild ají amarillo sauce. I like to go here right before the airport, but do leave extra time as they are not fast.

danilove lennon: I had high expectations about the pollo a la brasa chicken... I didn't like it as much as I would have liked... The chicken tastes average... side is very small and they take so long time to serve you and they do it with attitude...I won't come back!
