Liberty Fleet of Tall Ships Boston/Bahamas: what do users think?
Sandi L: We thought we purchased a "sailing" cruise in the bahamas, it was a motor tour. We were advised they cant shut off the engine or water, electricity plus other things wouldnt work. All of our days and nights were spent listening to and smelling the diesel exhaust. Which was actually better than the horrific urine/feces smell that was constant in the cabins because theholding tanks leak. Not once were we offered to use the kayaks, paddle boards, small sailing dinghy that they advertise. The cabins were tolerable sleeping when we were motoring or off-shore but the nights we spent tied to a dock it was unbearbly hot.The food was nothing to write home about, no choices on what you eat. Whatever is made thats what you get. Lunch one afternoon HOT tomato soup and grilled cheese not what I expect on a boat in the bahamas on a hot afternoon. The crew did everything they could to accommodate us with what they had to work with. The ice machine was broken. At a port they bought some ice but it did not last. So we had warm cocktails and warm beer.No music on the boat until a crew member let us use his personal speaker one evening. It all wasnt bad we did see some beautiful places, the water was magnificent, we met some great people.
Geoff Garian: Beautiful sailboat ... I wouldn't characterize it as a "Tall Ship", but we had a very nice experience. It lasted almost exactly 1.5 hours. The crew was very good - they were knowledgeable and engaging. Would definitely do it again, but would do it directly through Liberty and NOT Viator. They were a nightmare.
Robbie Ashton: Took my parents on the clipper and it was a hit; scenic views of Boston the old fashioned way. You can bring your own food so would recommend getting sandwiches from one of the nearby shops (or even north end) and enjoy your food on the water!Departure point is right behind the aquarium; if you're looking at the aquarium box office, it's on a walkway immediately behind it
Ruthie Davlin: Process from beginning to end was simple! Full experience was great. They do not go out very far, however they are not supposed to either! This sail is about seeing downtown Boston from the beautiful water, not go on a full excursion. Would highly recommend to to family and friends!!
Leah Petutin: A great experience! The crew is friendly and knowledgeable and have a great sense of humour. Beautiful views and a wonderful guest experience. Would definitely recommend.
Annie Wynn: Great way to see the Boston skyline and get water views of the Constitution. Sailing on a smaller boat rather than the bigger motor cruises was definitely a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Stephen Priest: I had a great 👍 time interacting with the crew as we talked about, well, other tall ships. Along with fellow passengers,we helped pull the sail into position as directed by the captain and crew. I believe I sailed on the Liberty Clipper. I was given a tour inside the living area by a crewman. It's a good ship, Charlie Brown! I was invited back by members of the crew. They also interviewed a passenger who was interested in becoming a member of the crew. There is a bar on deck and you can prepay in advance on their website. We sailed close to the Irish Navel patrol vessel James Joyce. We did get close to the USS Constitution. My only issue was the distance we traveled. We seemed to hang around the mouth of the harbor. I wished we traveled further. For a relaxing cruise, I recommend this company.
Marisa Desjarlais: Was such a nice experience!!! 2 hours sounded like such a long time but once on the boat it flew by!My four-year-old daughter had such a great time it was her first time on a boat and the captain made her feel so special and let her steer the ship and everything, highly recommend! Being on this "pirateship" compared to all the other regular boats on the ocean was truly something special!!!
Elbert Perez: Amazing experience. The crew and staff were great !
Emily Mu: My partner surprised me with a nighttime ride on the Liberty Clipper. I’ve been on harbor cruises before but this was a completely new experience. The best part might have been when a plane few directly overhead, so close it felt like it almost touched the mast.
Chris Rothwell: The crew was very nice. No seats onboard, you need sit on the limited benches or on sloped windows. If you need good back support or a stable seat, might not be the cruise for you. Not a lot of places to sit, if it had been at capacity with 90 people, a lot of people would have been standing. No shade above deck, bring your sunscreen. I was expecting some narration during cruise and there was some, but speaker system was very poor. Hard to understand what was being said. Was expecting ship to go up the harbor and among some of the islands with some historical narration. That did not happen. Instead we made it to Fort Independence then ship tacked back and forth between the Fort and a Logan Airport runway for more than an hour. Then we went back to the dock. If you just wanted to experience sailing and maybe watch a bunch of Jet Blue jets land and take off, all good. We won’t be doing this again.
Karen V: Amazing crew and captain! We had a group of 10 and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time out with this group! Entertaining, informative and and most enjoyable! Highly recommend!
Laura Häggqvist: Beautiful trip, lovely crew, fantastic boat, a lot of fun and really good value for money
Hayden’s Review: Great sunset cruise!! Both kid and adult friendly❣️ The crew was great and willing to share their knowledge and expertise. Bonus was seeing the USS Constitution fire its sunset cannon.
C Hill: Voyage with the Boston Clipper for some fantastic views of Logan airport, Castle island and Boston. Fantastic staff too. Witty with some historic sites knowledge too.
Paul: Liberty Clipper Caribbean cruise; Unsafe and Uncomfortable The vessel and practices on board are more suited for day sailing around a harbor but not a live aboard voyage. The Trip Advisor rating is for the vessel, day sailing trips and living aboard are not divided.I have been on two other one week sailing cruises, both schooners with the same capacity of passengers and crew. My experience therefore is comparable.I am a rescue diver and as such am trained on safety procedures on the surface and under water. As there isn’t enough space here to give details if you would like to read more check out my review on Trip Advisor.
Donna Foley: Had a private charter on the Liberty Clipper 8/19/22. Captain Shakespeare and his crew were outstanding. Witty, informative and very helpful, they engaged with our party and made everyone at ease.We had several (at least seven) in our party who were using either rolling walkers or canes and the crew was very patient as they assisted everyone aboard. Our cruise was well timed. We were able to experience the USS Constitution's evening salute.I highly recommend a sail with Liberty Fleet. The only disappointing aspect was the approach to the ship. The walkway was uneven with many missing stones making passage difficult for those with disabilities. The walkway was also poorly lit after dark
Mark D: Great scenic ride on the Liberty Clipper, well worth the money and informative. The crew is fantastic, they answered all of our questions and were very helpful. It was interesting helping hoist the sails, and seeing how a ship like that works. During the winter months they sail it down to the Bahamas and it stays there for the winter, I would love to go down there and spend a week on it! Definitely worth checking out!
Chepsie Chumba (My gmail): All white dress code affair was wonderful. Caribbean food and music
Jamie Haruska: We loved our Cocktails, Rum & City Lights tour! The city lights were beautiful from the boat and the atmosphere had a calming cocktail party vibe. I highly recommend this trip! But, but your drink tickets a head of time! They are cheaper online than on the boat.
Robert Perricelli: My family went on the Liberty Tall Ships sunset cruise in Boston at the beginning of August. We were on the Liberty Star, the 63 foot sailboat. Captain Lincoln and the crew did a great job. It was a warm and beautiful night. There was a nice breeze across the water and the sailing was smooth. They served various beverages including wine, beer and Dark & Stormy The crew was pleasant and knowledgeable. It lasted for 1 1/2 hours. I recommend them if you are in Boston.

Northern Lights: what do users think?
Rose Ducharme: About 2 weeks ago, we had a snafu on another boat. We thought we were set to go on that Schooner 1 week ago. After a lot of confusion, Devin the Captain of the Northern Lights stepped in to say we were more than welcome on his boat.Would also like to shout out Carla who was in her day off, but helped us to transition to the Northern Lights trip.Boy, I am glad there was a snafu ! The Northern Lights, is comfortable, open air, under cover on the top deck. Devin gave us an informative tour, that wasn't rushed, just a lil cruise around Boston. Food , drinks and a clean restroom are also all on board.A true testament that sometimes something good things happen after something bad.Thank you all!
K Household: Took the sunset yacht cruise aboard the northern lights. They said we will get light commentary we got zero commentary. They said we will get to see the cannons firing by some Fort, did not see anything never went near any fort! The sunset was never observed by anybody on the boat! the boat just made circles in the harbor and came back, all we saw was random buildings! Do not recommend!
Bryan Windrow: We had a nice 2 hour brunch cruise around the Boston harbor on a cold February day. It was nice and warm in the cabin, good food and great views.
jimmy Chege: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueStaff are so great and treat the tourists in such a professional manner. Had a great time and they topped with oven baked cookies. Will do it again.
Nicole Marion-Harding: Great boat to get b on for a brunch or Sunset cruise like I did last week. Its socially distanced and the hard working crew is always cleaning to its covid safe and masks are required. It was a great sightseeing activity id totally do it again and recommend it to everyone.
Kerri Des Jardins: What a night!!! 3 :) Such a great cruise. Jazz was fantastic, drinks great. And staff top notch. The boat is just so beautiful and so well kept! Can not wait to go in warmer weather and enjoy the upper deck.
Anna Otis: The Sunday sunset jazz cruise was 100% worth it. Beautiful views of the city skyline before and after sunset. Would highly recommend to visitors like myself or locals. They had cocktails for purchase and small bites/snacks.

Cañones 💣 a tamaño real.
Paul Harris: Great museum showing some of the incredible history of the USS Constitution and the United States Navy.
Luigi Ravanetti: Area con museo dedicata alla USS Constitution, una fregata pesante a tre alberi, in legno, della United States Navy. Interessante da visitare sia il museo che la nave stessa
