Sofia: $20 for a burnt egg and cheese and a chai—overpriced and over hyped. egg in the sandwich had a weird plastic film and half the croissant was burnt. Only redeeming qualities are the alcohol and the fact it’s a functioning cafe that stays open late.

Michael Luu: I bought three items tonight and noticed I was charged a lot more in taxes than anticipated. I checked my receipt and saw I was charged 17% tax instead of the 6.25% sales tax. I was also charged a service fee of $0.39 (2% of total plus "tax"). I asked the cashier and she showed me her point of sale terminal which showed a 17% tax. She would not let me take a pic of the terminal. I am not sure at all why they are charging 17% tax. If they want to add service fees then fine, but I believe it is fraud to add fees under a tax line item. A manager was unavailable and the staff told me to contact the email on their website. This was not helpful. I will be filing a complaint with the DOR and state.I recommend avoiding this business based on these shady practices.See attached receipt.

From the back room that’s like a green house (my favorite spot to hang out and work or chat with a friend) to the delicious Hazelnut Latte and sandwiches, I could not recommend it more! A few of my favorites are: the Hazelnut latte (I crave this all the time), the Lox Bagel sandwich (the bagels are always fresh, I see Wicked Bagel delivering in the middle of the night), and the Turkey Club on Sourdough (their Sourdough bread is to die for).

Elias Vetter: We used to come here ever Saturday morning. There coffee beans are great. The quality of the Cappuccino they make with it really depends on the Barista on duty. Sometimes perfect temp, foam milk distribution and coffee taste. Sometimes no foam and too hot milk. Same with the bagels. You never know if you hit a day were the bagels are fresh and delicious or old and chewy. This inconsistency became worse recently. No salmon on a lox bagel is just the most hilarious example of things which went wrong with my orders. No pastry on a Sunday morning is another example of this branches overall inconsistency. If you are a thrillseeker, please go here. You never know what kind of experience you will get.

It was frothy, smooth, not bitter at all, and just mildly sweet from the milk. The only thing that could have made it better was if they did latte art; it surprised me and disappointed me that there wasn't any, but it isn't a dealbreaker since it's just aesthetics.I also enjoyed the Smoking Jamaican sandwich, which took about 8 minutes to make. It was flavorful with roasted red and yellow peppers and Havarti cheese. It was spicy from pickled jalapeños and sweet at the same time from the mango chutney. The multigrain bread was also nicely pressed to add a light crunch.There was also a small selection of macarons, but they were out of pistachio so I tried a chocolate macaron. The shell had a light crisp, and the filling was soft and moist, but it was much too sweet for me.It is a very crowded place, but there is extra space in the back with about a dozen tables and leather bench seating along the walls. While dining in, I saw a cleaner wipe all the tables, so they take care to keep the place very clean. I had little to no cell reception in the back room and I didn't see any available public WiFi networks from the cafe.Tip for first-timers who may miss the menu: It is behind you when you face the baked goods or the registers. It is in front of you when you enter, but you're also navigating steps and crowds that I completely missed it and had to ask if there is a menu.

Shivi D: The best matcha tea and avacado toast ive had! This is a small coffee shop but has a very asian vibe to it. The spring match tea had rose taste with dried rose petals. One of the customer clicked a picture of my matcha tea because she loved it so much. The avacado toast had a cipotle sauce that went so well with the toast. I absolutely loved this place it can get crowded but totally worth it!

Ido Simyoni: After visiting Ohana Coffee in Kyoto station (japan), a month ago, I decided to go there for breakfast after my morning race. The avocado toast was amazing (I only wish they added egg to it) . The Japanese mayo on it made it very special. I drank the smoke maple latte and it was very good. My partner had the vanilla lavender latte with bacon and cheese bagel and said both were very tasty. We will Definitely go back and highly recommended for breakfast or brunch while in Boston.

Honorable mittens: Came here two days in a row and both days were excellent! The drinks were amazing and homemade just like their pastries! Not only that but they didn’t fill the entire cup with ice like Starbucks! It is a very chill place and on my next trip to Boston I will definitely come!

Asheesh Krishan: Me and my family walked in on 6/08/21. As my wife and my daughter were looking at the menu board to order coffee I approached the restroom. The male employee in the front rudely told me that the restroom is for customers only, I guess not realizing that we were together. I asked him if he could let me use the men’s room first and that I’ll order my coffee once I am done. He said no, you have to order the coffee first. By this time my wife was ordering the coffee so I asked her to order my coffee as well, in presence of that employee. Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t have put this review but from last two days I was not feeling good due to kidney stones and the extreme rude behavior from an employee left me with no choice. I had to stop and take a 10 minutes break to put this review. These kind of organizations have to be mindful of all sort of circumstances to be an elite organization. Needless to say it doesn’t matter how good the coffee tastes if one gets this kind of service than they don’t even deserve one star.
Erich Rasch: Great spot for a casual coffee and snack. I liked the cappuccino and spinach and feta croissant. Big open indoor area that makes it great for studying nuclear engineering or reading Fifty Shades of Grey. They also donate to what looked like local and maybe even non-local non-profits, which is hot.

Jim Tompkins: Having traveled through South Station via the commuter rail many times in the past few years, I've had the chance to sample what The Well has to offer. My go to drinks have been the hot chocolate and the hot mocha latte. I am a mocha fan and this is the best one I have tasted in the Boston area, and I've tasted many. The hot chocolate is also amazing. The people are always friendly. And of course it's a non-profit so the proceeds go to a good cause.

Erin McCabe: Friendly staff even right away in the morning. It is marathon day, I am soaking wet with all my luggage and they greet me like any other person. The coffee is delicious and even though it is in a to go cup it has beautiful artwork and "made with love." On top of all that, they support nonprofits! Jeremy Feghali: Gracenote is a beacon of light amidst a sea of bad coffee. I was in Boston on a business trip, and I was having the hardest time finding a decent coffee shop. After a few days I finally googled "best pour overs in Boston," and found Gracenote. What a gift! The coffee was freshly roasted and brewed perfectly. The baristas were incredibly talented! After finding this spot I came back everyday until I flew out. Over those days I had the espresso, drip coffee, cold brew, and pour over, all of which were incredible. Gracenote is a true craft coffee shop, and you should go there.

Brian D: Currently my favorite specialty coffee roaster. This could be the pinnacle of coffee at this point in time. Beans are all fresh (usually 2-5 days old), lots of single origin small lot options and the ambiance and staff is awesome.Barismo and Broadsheet are two other good roasters. Barismo has an attitude problem. Broadsheet is good for beans but doesn’t offer pour overs for some reason.
Byron Skaggs: Incredible coffee options of all kinds and bean varieties for each: pour-over, latte (the lavender latte is very good), cappuccino, etc.Baked goods and breakfast sandwiches are also very good.On the expensive side and often crowded - even overflowing into the hotel lobby next door.

I ordered a flat white and it was bitter considering the price I paid was 5 dollars for it and that this place is highly rated online this is not what I expect. With all the fancy setup and cool things to look at yet the coffee is bitter its a bit disappointing. The service was great and lovely staff and my coffee arrived very quick. I also ordered a pain au chocolat or a chocolate croissant as they call it this was also only alright and was a bit disappointing considering the price of it. Overall a bit of a dissatisfied experience in the food side but excellent staff and service.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp after entrance doors for wheelchairs and very wide entrance with double doors. Might get a bit snug once after that if it's busy as there's a que that builds up.
Jea Kim: Great place to stop by for coffee and pastries in Downtown Boston.George Howell has been one of my go-to spots for coffee in the downtown area. Since this is their flagship location inside the Godfrey hotel, empty seats were rarely available, but they did have extra tables in the hotel lobby. I was usually able to grab one of the comfy couch seats without any issues.My favorite menu so far is their shaken cold brew. It's slightly sweet but goes well with their pastry selections. I've tried the orange danish and sticky bun, and both were excellent. Their sandwich selections also looked nice, and I'll definitely be back to try those for lunch.

bruno korbar: One of my all time favourite coffee shop, with a slight change since 2021:It became massively overpriced (sadly, that became a reality for anything decent in the states), especially for non-coffee wares. What bothers me though is the fact that the quality went down a bit. Or rather, not quality, but consistency.Quality of the coffee in GHC is excellent, however in 4 visits that I've made in the last 8 days, with the same order (standard blend espresso and the single origin espresso which hasn't changed) had massively different experiences. Like: "yeah, I'd pay even more for this" to "I guess it's ok for specialty" experiences. And I get why it is that you can't have perfection all the time, but if your charging 6$ for an espresso, I'd want it to be excellent. And 2 out of 4 times, it wasn't.

Glen Anderson: This is a great place, we visited marathon weekend so it was busy, was initially put off by the long line, however it moved very quickly and before we knew it we was sitting at a table with our food and drink. It was the most expensive drink I ever ordered in my life probably. The size of an espresso cup and it was I think five dollars. It tasted like melted chocolate. Krystina “Gibbs” Gibbons: Pretty good coffee shop in Boston. It's what you expect, pretty crowded and loud on a saturday morning. The cappuccino was okay, I was told by the server that they make authentic cappuccinos and cant add any sugar or flavors to them. I respect that but the foam was that of a latte, to be honest, and the espresso was a little weak. My wife ordered a hazelnut latte and im assuming they male their hazlenut syrup in house because there were chunks of nut throughout her latte. Dont get me wrong it tasted delicious! But crunchy.
