Harvard Square Shiatsu: what do users think?
jessewilliamsmusic: A master massage therapist and teacher, Roger has healed my injuries and taught me an effective daily maintenance practice. Highly recommended! And I've seen many!
Pooja 7: Felt better in back, nice service :)
Florence Baudemont: I really like going to Harvard square shiastu. Roger is fantastic, professional and he helps me reduce my stress. Don't hesitate to try shiastu with him.
Alicia Carroll: I was given a shiatsu massage as a gift and I have to admit I was extremely skeptical about trying it out. I have been suffering from chronic migraines and have tried various preventative and abortive medications to treat my migraines with very little success. I don't like to take meds and have been desperate to find something besides "break" medication to help. The shiatsu treatment provided a lot of relief. I left the session with less pain and nausea, my wonky migraine vision was gone and the tension and achy muscles is gone. I have not felt so relaxed in a long time. I would recommend this to anyone who suffers from migraines.
Jinsheng Jiang: I have been getting regular treatments from Roger for a few years, all my shoulder and back pains are gone.

Acupuncture Boston - HolliBalance Well-being Center: what do users think?
Brian Ruiz: Dr Song is excellent. I had pain in my ankle for several years which I was struggling with . After the first treatment with Dr Song my pain was better. I totally recommend her because she knows what she is doing, thanks.
Cory Williams: 1 month ago I injured myself and could barely walk let alone run. I tried everything from deep tissue massage to stretching, Yoga and rest - but nothing worked. Being a Runner this was really impacting my life. I contacted Dr. Song, in desperation, explained my situation and she very kindly squeezed me into her already full schedule that day. 3 treatments later and the injury is a distant memory - I can run again! Thank you Dr. Song, you have made such a difference in my life and am truly grateful.
Malcolm Lewis: Dr. Song helped my dreams come true as I am now the proud mom of twins! We've been trying for 6 years to get pregnant with no luck. I tried IVF the first time without acupuncture and it failed. I decided to try acupuncture with Dr. Song the second round of IVF and I got pregnant with twins. I had a wonderful pregnancy with no complications and gave birth to my boys at 37 weeks. Now they are 3 months old, growing strong and thriving. Thank you Dr. Song for acupuncture and herbs. It surely helped in achieving our wish of having a child!
Kathryn Walker: Dr. Song has helped me with back pain and helped my father with arthritis. She's a healer - compassionate, thoughtful, kind and knowledgable. It's never easy to open up and start the healing process with someone, but she makes it easy to trust and then be glad you did.
Steven Paul: I found her on Google immediately after moving to Boston and hurting my lower back from lifting boxes. My lower back has been a weak spot of mine, and her customized treatments really helped for weeks. I continued to see her for back issues, but have also gone for wellness tune-ups and allergy-related issues.
Deborah Smithe: This one of the very best and very amazing service and I am really looking this service is very useful and very helpful service and I recommended to all of you. It's really too good service.
Harry Robert: One of the best service centre in the city for Acupuncture Boston - HolliBalance Well-being Center. It's amazing. Highly recommended to all.
Laura Sampson: Dr. Song is whom I look to keep me tuned up and get me through particularly rough periods. Her decades of practice, deft touch and profound knowledge of both Eastern and Western medicine complement any other therapies I may receive.
Mary Lird: She has a unique way of approaching the body and its multiplied layers. It was great to see her healing abilities as she uses her own technique to lay out the needles and let them unfold and change through the session. She is kind, and gentle yet confident and knows what she is doing. Her session is very beneficial and helpful. I am very grateful and highly recommend letting her support your healing journey. Blessings. Love and light.
Jojo: She is extremely professional and compassionate at the same time. I immediately felt comfortable discussing my issues with chronic back pain, hormone imbalance, and stress management. She truly cares about all of her patients and despite never having done acupuncture and cupping before, I fell in love with the results after my first visit. I am currently dealing with a shoulder injury that occurred when I was lifting weights and she has helped me heal and manage this pain through acupuncture, general wellness, healthy habits, and nutritional education. If you are on the fence about trying acupuncture, she's a fabulous choice to start your journey.
Ben Duckett: My back is so much better thanks to Dr. Song’s amazing acupuncture therapy and exercise recommendation. I took a long break from visiting the office but recently returned when my neck was kinked up. Dr. Song remembered almost everything about me and my body! Such an amazing presence and bedside manner she has as well. At one of my last visits I was dealing with some anxiety, and she placed the needles to calm my central nervous system, and I couldn't believe how well it worked. I was in such a peaceful state that I could hardly drive or talk afterward. I love that her treatments are so tailored to the concern at hand, and she really takes her time to understand what's happening with your body. I wish that all trips to the doctor were like this.
Ryan Gray: Dr. Song is a wonder and if you've been wanting to try acupuncture or cupping, go see her. I was extremely nervous about my first appointment for acupuncture but was so put at ease by Dr. Song’s calm, soothing demeanor that I fell asleep during one part of the session! Acupuncture was a great way for me to address myriad issues (insomnia, anxiety) and I cannot wait to go back!
james dev: Dr. Song is the best in, hands down. She is incredibly knowledgeable, compassionate, and effective. I work long hours in a demanding job and she has helped me get my health back on track while also increasing my energy & productivity levels. She guided me through a detox and I've never felt better and the supplements she recommended helped me recover quickly. She has taught me how to reduce my stress levels and has changed my life.
Andrew Joseph: Dr. Song provided top notch care through acupuncture, a wealth of knowledge, and the appropriate tools to help aid my mother's journey. She has consistently shown genuine care and concern in my mother's health, making sure she was doing everything she could do to be better. Many months later, my mother is visibly better and we are so grateful we crossed paths with Dr. Song Truly one of a kind.
Heather Lee: Dr. Song spent extra time with me, answering all my questions about the procedure. The platelet (PRP) facial was amazing! No chemical injections like Botox or fillers. My skin looks refreshed, bright and younger. I will definitely go back for other treatments!
Ashwin and Armella Rayasam: Do not pay for your visits in advance if Dr. Song’s admin agrees to submit your claim to insurance because they will not. It’s been three months and now they are not responding to my follow-ups. I told them I would pay out of pocket but they agreed to submit to my insurance since my plan covers after I meet the $300 deductible. I’m already spending thousands of dollars on other health related costs so these acupuncture visits are negligible at this point, it’s just the principle and frustrating that this practice lacks integrity. For what it’s worth, there are other acupuncturist nearby who are effective, and surprisingly at a lower cost, and follow through on submitting claims.
Jorge Rosario: I have been having knee pain for years from sports injury in the past. I went to Dr. Song at HolliBalance for one session two years ago and the knee pain was gone. The knee pain recently returned. I had difficulty going up and down the stairs. I had another session at HolliBalance and the pain has reduced significantly. The herbal pain spray Dr. Song works like magic. I hurt my elbow after a fall and the elbow was completely swollen but after applying the herbal pain spray overnight, the swelling and pain was 90% down. I have referred several of my pro athlete friends and will continue recommending HolliBalance to all the people who need natural pain relief.
Nour Ghadanfar: I love love love love love this place. They're amazing and with great customer service. Every time I go in and discuss something with Dr. Zhao, whether it's a distinct physical pain or even if I'm feeling a little off emotionally, she works her magic. Can't speak highly enough about it and the wonders of acupuncture.
Nikki Kern: My visits at HolliBalance are always wonderful. Dr. Melody Zhao is so kind and friendly and makes me feel very comfortable. She takes great care in her work and always answers any questions I may have. Scheduling appointments is so easy and convenient, too!
Marybeth Giambra: Amazing, I feel so tranquil there. The staff is kind and respectful, would highly recommend. I was having intense troubles. Slowly I can feel myself getting better, gaining healthier relationships with friends and family
Joseph Soener: I started seeing Dr. Eng at HolliBalance Well-being Center after my daughter praised Dr. Eng's treatment. I came to Dr. Eng for elbow pain from golfing and emotional eating from stress. The elbow pain improved significantly after two treatments. I could play golf without feeling the nagging pain. Dr. Eng also helped me with the back pain along the way. My emotion and general well-being also improved. Since then, I have referred my family, colleagues, and friends to HolliBalance Well-being Center because I felt people can benefit a lot physically and emotionally from what they offer.

Chinatown Pain Relief Massage: what do users think?
Julie Chow: This store is good for massages. My feet hurts from walking in heels. I got a foot massage for 30 min. The massager was good at massaging my feet. The price isn't bad but I do reccomend paying in cash.
Carlos Alegria: Great massage
Abdalla Abdi عبدالرزاق بن محمود: been going here for years and the gentleman is a pro!
GlutenFreeSTEMgal: Great massage and a wonderful price. Everyone was very kind. I felt amazing after and was provide a nice big glass of water. If you are looking for a glamorous all white fancy place this isn’t your place. If you want a deep tissue massage to relax and heal your body this a great option.
Bipashyana Shrestha: They were so nice and the massage was done so well!!
Jeffrey Marquez: Very good massage service
Stephanie Koza: The owner is very kind, professional, and accommodating. We enjoyed a couples massage- 1 hr- deep tissue. It was amazing. We both left feeling revitalized and refreshed without a knot in sight. Lily and John were great. We will be back.
Ren Li: Great deep tissue massage. They got a Groupon which made it a really good deal
Paula Samantha Rodríguez Bellido: Me sugirieron que deje el 20% de tip cuando estaba dejando ya de por si el 18%. Mi masajista, hombre, fue bastante violento en los movimientos y me hacia doler bastante.
Sho Szczepaniuk: Great place! Would recommend
Jessie Li: Good experience--the staff were very nice and accommodating to requests (ie. targeting sore spots, pressure sensitivity, providing change of clothes).
Natasha Saleh: The massage was a great strength, however the movements were way too fast and intense. The massage would have been better if they were a bit more slow strong movements. Sometimes it was too fast. Otherwise, solid spot abs discount for cash
justin gibbs: This place stands by the name of the business. The masseuse I had got all the knots out and released tension in my upper back, which is why I went. Good job!
Mia Roman: I gave this place a try today and was not disappointed. John gave a great massage: tapping, toe cracking, head pressure, calf kneading and more. A great deep tissue at a great price. *Be aware, pressure on glutes*
Eddies: I used to get very good massages here but the last few times they have been very poor. And I always seem to get the same guy who just goes through the motions. I need to find a better place.
Jenza: Best message I've had, highly recommend
Ry K: My partner and I both enjoy massages here. The staff although not talkative, are lovely and respectful. Both my masseuse and my partners focused a tight areas. Deep tissue was just what my body needed. It is not a massage for just relaxation it is to actually loosen knots and tension. Fantastic job and we’ll be returning !
isabella tsai: Me and my girl friend went for an hr. Massage. My friend’s massage person is a girl, “Elna” done a very very good job. Highly recommend. My massage person is a guy, Chen. He is HORRIBLE! I paid $60 per person. And was going to tip him $8 due to the he bad work. He throw the money on the counter and said this is too small! Then the owner demanded $24 tips for two of us. I end up gave $25 tips for 2 people.I am happy to tip good massage. But Wow! Do the bad massage yet throw $8 tips then owner demands 20% as min. For a bad massage.I would not recommend Chen if you happen to go there to have a massage.
Francesca Giacalone: Chen chen is down right ballzy and disrespectful. He shouldnt question my tip, he needs to question his service! A tip is earned not mandatory, and if your employees are that bold maybe the owner should increase their pay because that kind of service will drive your business down the toilet. How embarrassing to straight up ask for a tip?! A server at a restaurant would NEVER even discuss a tip with a customer! SMDH The owner should be Embarrassed!
Baddie Dae: Great experience here. I had a man masseuse as my back and shoulders have been tense. The place is super clean and the price is beyond reasonable. Will definitely come back!
DeeDee Jones: My favorite place to unwind John is my favorite person!

Boston Pain Relief Massage: what do users think?
Jyoti Siegell: My boyfriend and I found this place on Groupon. We called to make an appointment and were told to bring cash to get the same price as the groupon. When we got to the location, there was no sign on the door or the building indicating we were at Boston Pain Relief. We had to call to be let in and the first time we called, no one picked up. Once we got inside we both received a couple's massage. We gave cash for our massage and asked for change back. We were told we would get it after the massage, that never happened. After we got dressed and were about to leave, we were asked if we left a tip for them. It felt very forced to have to give a tip. I would not recommend this massage parlor and would advise to look elsewhere.
Penny Ho: We had a couple massage section in Marlborough location. Worst massage ever!! We arrived on time but they were still working on another customer so we waited for approximately 15 mins. So we only got 40 mins for the price of 60 mins. The place didn’t seem very clean and therapists didn’t provide a relaxation Feeling at all. Actually we were annoyed (not relaxed) after the section. Save your money and go to the real massage place.
Gwen Walsh: Excellent for PAIN RELIEF and wellness! If you are looking for potted orchids and water falls, there are other places for that. If you are looking for an intuitive, compassionate, experienced practitioner of ancient Chinese medicine, you must see Lucy Lu. This is true wellness, not superficial pampering.
Bruna Iglesias: I've been on their new location at Washington st, he two person who attended me and my boyfriend were very sweet and professional. The place is not fancy, but it's enough for you to have a good relaxing time. They clearly have experience, and did a great job. Definitely recommend.
Keri Maloney: I am licensed Muscular Therapist. I was hesitant to write a negative review because I typically don't do that, however after thinking about it, I decided it was worth sharing my experience. We went for a couples massage and I immediately was unimpressed by the office but hopefully that the therapists would be qualified after reading the Bio's of the staff. The massage room was not clean, we were definitely taken aback, again still hopeful for a good massage. My boyfriend had a female and she gave a fair massage, he felt it was "ok", but, what was not ok was her continuous burping throughout the session. We were appalled at the lack of professionalism. Next issue, my therapist was a elderly gentleman that was a very kind man but clearly has Parkinson's with a very strong tremor or some medical condition where the massage was unable to be performed effectively. I've worked in healthcare for decades and encourage people to maintain their lifestyle for as long as they possibly can. This however, was unacceptable. It was the worst massage I've ever received and I've been a therapist for 12 years. I'm confident in my ability to be objective. They put hot stones on our backs- which I did not want or ask for. The stones were luke warm at best and then they left the room for a minimum of 10 minutes which is a complete nonsense when you're supposed to be having a massage!Bottom line: Unprofessional, sketchy, save your money.
AP LLC: Not a very good experience overall, the staff was rude and the facilities were not clean. The massage was ok, but not worth the price. Do yourself favor and book a massage at a real spa... this place is a scam.
Brenna Plankey: Awful experience. He literally farted the whole time. How is that even professional? Then proceeded to ask for a tip after. The lady literally picked my leg up to a 60 degree angel and let it fall on the hard table. Just flat out awful.

Boston Hypnobirth: Birth Doulas and Prenatal Massage: what do users think?
Kevin Schwartz: Outstanding! My wife went into premature labor unexpectedly and had to go to the hospital where there was lots of commotion and energy in the labor room. Bonnie arrived like a night in shining armor and completely shifted the energy in the room and my wife's state. She set a calming, supportive environment through lights, music, massage and gentle but confident coaching. My wife had the natural birth she had hoped for and I truly don't think this could have happened without Bonnie's wisdom and calm, guiding presence. She worked wonderfully with the medical staff at the hospital to advocate for my wife's wishes while balancing safety and inputs from the medical team. Several of the nurses remarked on how easy she was to work with as a Doula and how much everyone enjoyed the way everything evolved. 5 stars and really don't know what we would have done without her. Bonnie is GREAT at what she does and I can't recommend her highly enough!
Nicole Nichols: We had a wonderful experience with Bonnie as our doula and are incredibly grateful for her support. From our first call, it was clear that Bonnie was genuinely passionate about her work and shared in our commitment to having a positive birth experience.Despite hiring Bonnie late in pregnancy, she was super helpful in fitting in all of our pre-birth prep classes and worked hard to ensure that we were armed with as much info/education materials as possible. Leading up to birth, Bonnie was always a phone call or text away and assisted us in navigating some of the hospital politics we experienced - she was always a voice of reason and helped us slow things down in order to achieve our goals and keep to what was important to us. During labor, Bonnie was right there with us with her encouraging words, empowering approach and bank of skills to help labor progress - her knowledge of Spinning Babies and relaxation/massage techniques was invaluable and ultimately what we credit with the timely labor progression and positive experience we hoped for. We are so happy to have worked with Bonnie and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a doula.
Andrea Carusona: Deciding to work with Bonnie was one of the best decisions we could have made to ensure that I achieved a vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). Bonnie has loads of experience and helped me feel confident that together we could make it happen. She was available for any questions and support leading up to the birth so I knew that no matter what came up she would calmly know what to do. Once I went into labor Bonnie came over quickly and helped me get through to active labor, then we traveled to the hospital together (I was so relieved to have her help in the car!) and once we arrived at the hospital she helped me and my husband advocate for the birth experience that we wanted. Bonnie knows how to navigate the hospital system very politely but is also insistent on getting the Mother what she needs. I feel so grateful that we were able to work with Bonnie!
Sara Tatnall: I highly recommend Boston Hypnobirth. Bonnie was by my side through the majority of my 42 hour labor, and I don't know how I would have navigated it without her. I wanted a natural, physiological birth but had a number of high risk factors, and Bonnie's experience with hospital advocacy was invaluable. She was committed to helping me achieve the birth I wanted even when things went sideways with my labor. Ultimately I ended up with multiple interventions and having her there to explain made all the difference in understanding and accepting the interventions as necessary - instead of feeling coerced by the hospital staff. She brought peace and confidence to an otherwise difficult birth. I am eternally grateful to her.
Lorenis Liriano: Bonnie was Amazing! She provided not only a relaxing massage that relieved my pain and tension but she gave me advice and insight as a doula. In our session I feel like I learned so much about my body and pregnancy. I plan on returning you can tell she genuinely cares and loves what she does. I highly recommend her! She also has affordable options and has lots of experience.
Justine Portmann Katz: I had a really wonderful experience receiving prenatal massage from Bonnie as I entered the third trimester of my first pregnancy. I had been experiencing some low back and pelvicdiscomfort and walked away from our session feeling at ease and powerful in my body. I am looking forward to taking an in-person Spinning Babies Parent class with her, and continuing to receive prenatal massage care from her for the duration of my pregnancy.Bonnie is a deeply knowledgeable, kind, respectful, warm, and gifted birth worker.
Lillian Dubiel: My wife and I worked with Bonnie in several of her capacities- initially, I approached her for prenatal massage, but we ended up hiring her as our intrapartum doula, she led our Spinning Babies parent course, and provided individualized labor and birth education. Bonnie is warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and very familiar with Boston’s many hospitals. Her Spinning Babies expertise and doula experience definitely helped me to successfully achieve my desired physiologic birth outcome. In fact, our labor and birth happened so quickly that Bonnie barely made it to the delivery! Without a doubt, the pre-labor education Bonnie provided us prepared my wife and I for labor and birth- she taught us the tools and mindset we needed to get us successfully through our short but very intense labor. She also squeezed me in for a much-needed postnatal massage a week after delivery. She is readily available by text/phone at all times and was attentive and responsive to our individual needs. Bonnie is also very well-connected in the doula, prenatal, and birth world here in Boston, and was able to make us several great recommendations for other service providers. She is queer-friendly and well-versed in queer family-making and made us feel very comfortable. We highly recommend her!
Jessica Stout: I met Bonnie at week 32 of my pregnancy when I discovered that my baby had turned breech. After what had been a completely uneventful pregnancy up to this point I found myself spinning into fear based thinking and seeking wisdom and guidance from the birth community. When I reflect on this time I cannot be anything but grateful that this moment of fear lead me to the amazing, wonderful, empowering Bonnie Rovics.I knew after our first meeting that not only did I want Bonnie to support me in caring for my body in pregnancy and my baby through massage and spinning babies strategies intended to encourage the baby back to an head-down position but I wanted more than anything for her to support me, my partner and our baby in our birth experience. Bonnie consistently took the time in our meetings leading up to my birth to ask questions, understand me and my preferences and learn how she could support me in meeting our goals for birth. When the time came for us to go to the hospital Bonnie was always one text, or call away. She beautifully navigated giving my partner and I space to be together when the time was right and showing up in person to support us when we needed her in person support. Bonnie helped us to advocate for ourselves and our birth preferences in a hospital system that is based around schedules and interventions and ultimately supported our entire family in having a birth that looked nothing like our original “perfect birth” but was ultimately entirely perfect on it’s own.I can’t recommend Bonnie enough to anyone on the journey of birth. She is an extraordinary massage therapist, supporter of women’s rights and advocacy and grounded and talented doula.
Danielle Sommer: I have given birth with Bonnie 3 times. In each case, she has been an an amazing supporting resource and positive champion for my well being. Throughout my pregnancy her prenatal massage was a welcome respite from the aches and pains that can accompany your growing body. It was also so helpful in preparation for the physical act of natural labor. Her presence at the actual birth is encouraging and welcoming support and she also is able to provide pain natural pain relief and physical help throughout the birthing process. And once your baby is here, she continues her loving help and support in so many ways a new mom needs. If I was doing it again, I'd have her there.
Brittany Eisenbarth: Bonnie was the absolute best doula I could have asked for during the birth of my second child. She is a genuine person who is passionate about what she does, and sincerely cares about helping you achieve your best possible birth experience. She put so much time and effort into educating and getting to know me and my husband while I was pregnant, and when I went into labor, she was a true advocate for me in the labor & delivery room. She is well-versed in hypnobirthing and spinning babies techniques, and bonus, she is a massage therapist and gives the best prenatal massages! Bonnie is now a friend for life, and if I end up going for baby #3, Bonnie will 100% be my go-to.
Hayon Shin: Bonnie was an excellent doula for us. Even though we hired her pretty last minute she very quickly orientated us and helped us prepare for our birth. During the labor she and my husband tag teamed to help me and throughout the entire 14 hour labor she was so on top of it. I don't know what I would've done without her to help manage the pain. She was awesome and we're so grateful to her!
Natalia Sesma: I went for a Prenatal massage with Bonnie, she was very patient to explain how my body was getting ready for delivery and showed me some acupressure points to use to help with pain during surges and other start labor. I left the session relaxed, confident and hopeful to receive my baby. Now that my baby is home with me I look forward to contact her again regarding lactation
Blake Sims: I loved my online class with Boston Hypnobirthing! Bonnie was extremely flexible, knowledgable, and a huge support as my partner and I prepared for the birth of our baby. The materials, visualizations, breathing exercises, and general education about both our options and how to do our best to ensure a birth that fit our preferences was invaluable. We delivered a healthy, joyful baby and both my partner and I felt calm and secure throughout the delivery process. I highly recommend working with Bonnie and Hypnobirthing Boston!
Monika Burns: We recently worked with Bonnie as a doula and were very happy with our experience! We took a Hypnobirthing class initially and loved the approach to childbirth, so it was important to us to have a doula who was experienced in/focused on Hypnobirthing techniques. Bonnie has a great deal of experience in hypnosis techniques and many other key elements of natural childbirth. We had a great initial meeting and intake session with Bonnie over Zoom and were also able to have a wonderful prenatal massage/rebozo scarf technique session in her outdoor studio area. When I went into labor, Bonnie came right in to meet us at the hospital. She did a great job of supporting both my husband and I during labor - we really appreciated her suggestions, pain relief techniques, massage, and overall support during the labor. We had a very positive birth experience and Bonnie was an instrumental part of that! We are so happy that we got to work with her during our son’s birth and definitely recommend her as a birth doula.
Vinsu N. Shah: Bonnie worked wonders with my post partum massage. I was in a lot of pain post baby, Bonnie took the time to understand my birth experience and really targeted the massage to address all of my concerns. I was also very reluctant to have such close contact while in quarantine but Bonnies setup put me at ease. I highly recommend her for post partum moms!
Kat P: Bonnie’s healing hands truly are a GIFT! I am so grateful to have found Bonnie during my second trimester. I didn’t realize how badly my body needed a little TLC until after my massage- I left feeling like a new woman! Bonnie has done a great job creating outdoor space for added comfort during this Covid period. Her great energy and personality an added plus too. Starting up with Bonnies Hypnobirthing classes next and can’t wait to dive in. Already looking forward to my next massage! Do yourself a favor and book one too!
Naomi Howard: I first visited Bonnie for a massage at the beginning of my second trimester earlier this year. Her space was cozy and comfortable and her massage was exactly what my body needed. After a rough first trimester, I was dying for a gentle but strong massage and it really hit the spot! I unfortunately couldn’t see her again until late in my third trimester due to covid-19 but left that session so much more relaxed. The constant headache basically went away and a lot of built up tension was released throughout my body after just one visit. After seeing her that day, my husband and I decided to hire Bonnie as our birth doula and we were so happy to have had the opportunity to have her by our side for the birth of our second son. Her presence was so calming and there is absolutely no way I would have made it through without her. She knew exactly when and where to massage and apply counter pressure, and provided constant reminders to breathe and relax into contractions. Throughout labor, she suggested different techniques and positions to help me cope with the pain and pressure. Thanks to Bonnie, I was able to stick to my goal of avoiding any form of medical intervention and best of all, my husband was able to remain calm and confident and provide me with the support I needed from him. If I can convince my husband to have a third, first thing I’ll do is call up Bonnie!
Meghan A: First off, Bonnie is amazing. Her patience and ability to explain things was second to none, which is exactly what we needed after long work days. She kept the classes interesting and really seems to love what she does and genuinely cared about us and our success. Her class was more than just a collection of techniques that could be read in a book. From her we gained a very strong sense of confidence that we could have a positive birth experience and learned so much that we were excited to share with other expecting parents. It is amazing how little we really knew about childbirth, outside of what we have seen on TV and heard (in bed, on your back, medicated, yet screaming in pain) … and this wasn’t even our first birth! My husband and I felt fully prepared and actually excited to go through the birthing process this time around and to use the techniques we learned while taking hypnobirthing classes with Bonnie. Yes … my husband too. He learned so much and really was my greatest support during the entire labor/birth experience. I referred to him as my Moula (man doula). During my labor with our first, he felt helpless and unable to meaningfully support me, however after these classes, he did an awesome job supporting me through the birth of our second, both physically and emotionally. He felt a big sense of purpose during the labor which he credits our training with Bonnie.During my short 6-hour labor, I felt completely in control of my body and my breathing, and succeeded with my goal of having a completely natural delivery. In addition, unlike my first birth which was medicated, traumatizing, and resulted in a very long recovery process, this birth was empowering, and in-line with my birth plan. I leveraged many of the coping strategies, benefited from the relaxed state the hypnosis scripts provided my body, and best yet, my recovery has been extremely easy.Bonnie, sincerely and from the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! We are so grateful for everything we learned with you, the kindness and care you treated us with, and the confidence you instilled in us. Everything went so well and we wouldn’t have been able to do it without you.
Moira Griffiths: Bonnie is fantastic and full of knowledge. I have been suffering from gestational carpal tunnel in both hands and the massage helped to relieve some of the discomfort. She also recommended sleeping on a wedge pillow to alleviate pressure off my arms from sleeping on my sides. That has been a game changer. I am actually able to sleep again! I highly recommend a prenatal massage with Bonnie!
Dan Lee: Bonnie is awesome! My muscles are unusually tight and tense due to chronic pain and autoimmune condition. I need strong pressures where the muscles are tight and need very sensitive touches in the area where it’s inflamed due to my condition because it’s super painful. It’s been difficult to find someone who would know how to treat my condition well. So I’ve hopped around a lot until I’ve found Bonnie! Only regret is I didn’t find her sooner.
Lara Saavedra: Excellent experience, Bonnie fit me in short notice when I had some intense neck pain, and it noticeably improved the following days. Thank you so much.

The Massage School: what do users think?
Crislisa Bethancourt: Great massages for $40!!!
CURVY LIFE: The best $40.00 massages ever! Cheap massages, but high quality ❤️
Phinex Phinex: Great experience !!!
Brian Yun: Great experience for the price of it!Someone in my work posted a flyer for a 1-hr massage for $40. So I called to book an appointment. Chances are you'll have to leave a voice mail and they'll give you a call the same day. Its only Wednesday, Friday and Saturdays.Once you get there, its like a lobby and the receptionist will give you towel and then the student missuses will grab you once they are ready. Note that this is a school so you don't get a private room. It's a dimmed open space with about 10+ massaging beds. You'll have the privacy of a changing room.I would recommend this 100% if you're looking for affordable massages.
Diane Dawkins: I was damaged in this place. I ended up with a deep gash on my back, the student that did it knew she did it and didn't make herself accountable for what she did.
Luv Resrch: I totally agree with the positive comments below. The administrative staff is professional, accommodating and personable, as are the students. Always a special treat.
Rachel Wahlert: Positive:Communication,ValueGreat service! Worked wonders on my hips. You'll likely get a voicemail when you call but they're great at calling you back!
Jesse Miller: I had Sophie who gave an excellent full body massage! And for $40 (before tip) for an hour, the price is unbeatable. There’s also free street parking right along the street which was convenient.
Lisa McCalla: Great massages at great prices. Definitely can't beat that! Comfortable environment each batch of students are different. I have been blessed to have really good students. The overall services are great. From administrator pleasant and warm greeting to the goodbye. Very professional for a school. I do really like it there and miss the services
Deborah C: For a $35 massage (plus a tip! :)), I would definitely come back.I had Rachel, who was super sweet and made sure I was comfortable, especially since it was my first time there. Like other reviewers said, it takes place in a room with other people. I probably would've been uncomfortable but she did a great job of keeping me properly covered the whole time. The booking process was relatively easy - left a voicemail with my preference for date and time and got a call back the next day.
Julia Hubert: I had a very negative experience at the Massage School of Boston this last time. A few months ago, I had a negative experience with a student who caused me significant discomfort. I shared this with the man at the front desk, and he explained that he could not guarantee any particular student to a client. This past time that I went, I was assigned to this same student, and I asked to have another student. Both him and the student became upset, but he allowed me to have another student for my massage. As I was leaving, I apologized for the situation and asked if I could have the woman’s name so I could ask not to have her when booking my future appointments. The man at the front desk said that what I did was very negative and that he was hesitant to ever book me again. It would’ve been much more reasonable for him to work with me rather than close the door in my face like that. Very poor customer service.
Kayla Smith: The man who appears to run the place but in reality “works the front desk” has serious issues. The owners are aware of his behavior but they don’t seem to care that he berates students and clients alike. His attitude can change on a dime, he is a very angry little man.
Samantha LaForgia: Boston (South end) -- it was great! Yes it is a community concept (all the massage tables are in a room), but that is OK ... I had a great massage--asked if pressure was good throughout and it is nice because you are able to give the students feedback! Great stuff and good learning at a good price!I loved Miranda.. I'll be back for sure!
Vik Y: The only massage place to go to.
Heidy: On 7/2 my friends and I booked a massage and were very disappointed with the service we received. I was unable to get my massage that day because I was stuck in typical Boston traffic. My friends went any way and asked if they could get a refund for my massage—the least they could say was “No” but they asked just to be sure. The man at the front desk was very rude and unprofessional and yelled at my friends. He said we had “wasted a student’s credit.” I’m sure cancellations happen all the time, but he was unprofessional to say the least. It’s disappointing that the front desk person didn’t know how to be respectful and approachable. Take your money and time elsewhere.
James Bacon: Definitely worth the $30 price for an hour massage. No private room but worth it if you don’t mind. A little annoying / difficult to book given the phone tag, but the guy who does it is super friendly and accommodating and does his best to get back to you quickly.
Rand Chaqmaqchee: So bad people working there specifically the admission. terrible experience
Jon Lee: Awesome place. Unbeatable price for professional quality. Should mention that the massage is given in an open (dimly lit) room with lots of other people - but that's not a problem at all because all I ask for is a good massage. Would highly highly recommend!
Tegan Kehoe: Until yesterday, I really liked this place, and hoped to make it an at least monthly routine. I've had some great massages and some disappointing ones there, but that makes sense for students, and the price is right, especially since regular professional massages are out of the budget for me. However, I had a bad experience with a massage yesterday, enough so that a staff member (I believe her name was Mara) noticed and asked what she could do to help, and listened. She was great, she went above and beyond. On my way out, Scott, who runs the desk and I believe is the manager or owner, asked if it was anything he should know about, so I gave him a summary (probably more rambling than I intended, but still short, maybe two sentences). All I expected was an "I'm sorry you feel this way" or something to that effect. Instead, he talked about the fact that they're students, you can't expect them to know how to react to every situation yet, etc.I didn't disagree with much of what he was saying, but I thought that he had wanted the information about why I was disappointed by the student, since he had asked. I told him as much, and he doubled down, elaborating on their lack of experience. Part of what had upset me was the fact that the student seemed very freaked out by the fact that I cried a little on the massage table, and seemed to be trying to get me to stop for his own sake, rather than mine. I had already told Scott this, and so when he went on about them not being experienced I said something along the lines of "I don't expect perfect professionalism, I just hoped for a little basic human kindness." That really upset him, and he told me I was attacking his student's character (I didn't intend to, I just wanted to express my concern about his behavior). He also suggested I get help for whatever issues I had (yes, I had cried in public, but that's not that uncommon in massage clients, and not really an appropriate thing to say in an already tense conversation with a stranger / customer). At this point, I really didn't know what to do, because I really liked The Massage School, and wanted him to give me a reason to come back, a simple apology, for example. I should have cut my losses and left, but I guess I was overly optimistic. I told him that I had hoped to become a regular (I've been there five times) but now I had concerns, not because of the student but because he was reacting so defensively after he had asked for the information. He said that I was the one being defensive.I repeated the concerns that I had, stupidly hoping for some kind of at least perfunctory apology. Scott told me that I wasn't welcome back. I don't know what I did to merit that other than take up more of his time than he wanted and tell him true, mostly politely-worded things he didn't want to hear; until the end of the conversation I was shaky but moderately quiet. I stood to leave but tried to restate why I was disappointed before I went. He interrupted me a few times until I said, "I'll leave as soon as I finish my sentence." At that point I was speaking at regular volume, rather than the semi-hushed tones of the waiting room of the massage studio, and I tried to tell him once more that his behavior was much more concerning than the student's. I admit I wasn't exactly concise, but it was a regular run-on sentence, nothing out of the ordinary for someone tired and frustrated. Scott raised his voice above mine while I was still speaking, got up, and physically escorted me out (not touching me, but walking close to me while angrily pointing). The whole interaction took maybe three to five minutes, which I know is a long time to spend with an upset customer, but the waiting room was empty and I wasn't aggressive, just more like stunned with a quavery voice. I am very sad to lose my favorite massage place, but I would not be returning, even if Scott hadn't told me I wouldn't be allowed. All I wanted was an "I'm sorry you had that experience."
Paulie Driver: Hanna gives a great massage
