Jessica Suriel: Everything the reviews say about Kate is absolutely true. She lies, does not follow up, and has a HORRIBLE demeanor with patients. She mentioned my brown skin and how light my son is compared to me so she might even be racist but even if she isn’t, she’s not someone I would ever subject myself to ever again. Kate gives Dr Markarian’s office a cheap atmosphere.I was left with dog ears and he pretended he didn’t notice at our last visit. He covered them with my undies for my after photo which is fine with me cause I would never force myself to deal with Kate ever again. She’s as atrocious as the reviews mention. I wouldn’t go back to Dr Markarian for MORE surgery but I am glad I got to have a tummy tuck. The belly button is nice and I am flat but my dog ears are very blatant and I wasn’t about to beg after I already paid 16,500.00 for some reason I was charge 2k more than any of his other patients I spoke with who had the same work and flank lipo was not done to my back side as I asked in our first convo … this was confirmed at my last app when he said “and we didn’t take any off the back” I smiled and was polite the entire time but he has an arrogance that makes it difficult to speak up when you don’t like soemtjing. Don’t let them bully you. His work is amazing and he is a great surgeon with an attention to detail but he also seems to play favorites with different patients and it’s practice, he has that right! Just my observations. my original review was that of a little girl who just had a tummy tuck now that I’ve gone to my finalPost op I feel more comfortable being honest. Good luck!

Stephanie Clark: Dr. Markarian was the plastic surgeon on call at Emerson Hospital when my daughter fell and put a tooth through her lip. Dr. Markarian came and did an exceptional job stitching her lip. He was very matter of fact, provided excellent communication, and was compassionate toward anxious parents. He told us he didn't think her lip would scar even after putting in 15 stitches. We doubted him at first, but now, two weeks post procedure, we can hardly tell she had any trauma to the area.Great doctor! You're in great hands with him.
peter lyons: I am a 61 year old man who has struggled with “man boobs” all my life. I finally had the courage to do something about it and after doing my research it was clear to me that Dr. Markarian was the only Dr that I wanted to preform the surgery. Dr Markarian took the time to describe each step of the procedure and answered any and all my questions. I am completely thrilled with the results. If any one is interested in going thru with procedure I would strongly recommend Dr Markarian. Recently I was in Florida at the beach and for the first time in my life I did not feel self conscious with my shirt off. It finally felt great!!
Dani P: Truly one of the most disappointing experiences with any plastic surgeon I’ve ever met with. I was looking forward to working with Dr. Markarian for more than a year. My initial consult was in April 2021 for a rhino-septoplasty, but I had to unexpectedly put my surgery plans on hold for a while. Fast forward to April 2022, I reached out to the office again to get things moving along. I had a second virtual & in-office consult and was confident in my decision to move forward with Dr. Markarian.At the second in-office visit, I met with Kate after seeing Dr. Markarian. I let her know I was ready to put the deposit that day and schedule the surgery. She told me that she couldn’t proceed until I got approval from my PCP that I could go under anesthesia. I’ve never had any surgery before, so I trusted her instructions. When I called my PCP, they told me that they couldn’t see me until I had the procedure booked.I called Kate back for clarification on the process. She was the rudest, most disrespectful person I have ever spoken to at any business. I understand that mistakes/miscommunications can happen, but the way she spoke to me was very unprofessional. She kept repeatedly talking over me and treated me like I was stupid. She then told me that I need to put in a deposit before she could schedule. I said I was ready to do so but wanted to know what dates Dr. Markarian had available, or at least a general idea. She couldn’t give me any dates and told me she can’t look at the schedule until I put the deposit in. She was awful to deal with. I was really upset with how I was treated, so I emailed Casey and asked to speak to someone else about booking. Casey scheduled a call with Dr. Markarian for that evening, but then she had to immediately cancel it.The following morning, Kate called and told me that I should find another surgeon. When I asked why, she said it was because I couldn’t work with her, and that I asked too many questions. I was in complete shock that this was a reason. First of all, I am not there for her - I am there for Dr. Markarian. Second, surgery is a major decision, and I should have my questions answered by both the doctor and staff, especially if I’m dropping nearly $20K. I told her that I wanted to speak to Dr. Markarian, since Kate acts like she owns the practice.To my surprise, Dr. Markarian called me back. I asked him directly if he still wanted to work together, and he said yes. I told him that I was ready to put the deposit down that day. He said he’d have his staff call me back. No one called, and I was not going to chase after them.I am upset that things turned out this way, especially since I waited so long and was looking to have 4 different procedures with him over the next 1-2 years. Many of Dr. Markarian’s negative reviews are about his staff, especially Kate. If he wants to keep her around, that’s obviously his problem. However, he should reconsider who’s dealing with potential new patients for the sake of his business. Dr. Markarian may be a good surgeon, but the way he runs his business is unprofessional.I probably dodged a bullet with this office. If it was difficult to get the procedure booked and I “asked too many questions” then I can’t imagine what a nightmare it would be to deal with them if I had any post-op concerns/issues.
Misha H.: I'm sure Dr. Markarian is a wonderful doctor but I've been trying to communicate with his office to book a consultation for months and it's been ineffective communication from day one. The first time I tried to book months ago I messaged quite a few times and received no response at all. This time after a couple messages I was able to book...but then there was no communication about how I would be contacted for the consultation. I checked my email, my calendar for invites, my phone for calls, nothing. 10 minutes after the consultation should have started I received a text from Dr. Markarian asking if my phone number was the right one for me and I responded that it was and then...nothing. I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do.
Samantha Bell: Truly, I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. Markarian and his staff. I came to see him after years of hating my nose and appearance. I met with several doctors and it didn't feel right with any of them. Dr. Markarian not only made me feel like he knew what he was doing, but he was THE FIRST doctor to listen to my concerns and issues and his recommendations based on what I want and what is best for me. J Lopez: I'm truly baffled by all the stellar reviews on Google, not sure if they are legit.Went to a pre-surgery consultation, paid $150 and had worst experience. Doctor rushed through the in-person consult, 15m max, and to top it off the staff is another major concern.This practice needs a more qualified staff to offer better customer service, they don't respond to questions or concerns you may have. However to get your $150 they respond quickly to engage you in coming in. Once you get the process started you will have to deal with his staff, (KATE) awful person, rude, discriminates patients. "Words can't explain to tell you how bad of a customer service this practice haves . I still don't understand how a well educated professional as Dr. Markarian has such an awful unprofessional staff. They make you feel like if you're asking for a free procedure, when in reality they are charging for a simple procedure $17,000 +.....which is outrageous, and receiving a bad service. I believe if you decided to move forward with a plastic surgery, try to find a practice that shows they care and if you have any questions you are certain you will find answers. Not get your calls not answered, or being told call you back we are busy right now. And you never hear back.... Just Awful experience all the way. And definitely that lady (Kate) needs to go. She's not a profesional, and talks like she owns the practice.Please think twice, this is not the place you would want to have plastic surgery in.

I spoke to many different practices in the Boston-area before making my decision, all of which paled in comparison to what was offered at Boston Plastic Surgery in Quincy.CUSTOMER SERVICE: You will find in your research that the customer care and consideration you receive from a small-family office like Boston Plastic is the ideal choice for first-timers and regular patients. Upon calling their one direct phone line, you will speak with an associate within 5 seconds. every. time. Surgical nurses also make themselves available on-call 24/7 on weekdays and weekends. As a smaller specialty-practice you will have no trouble scheduling appointments in a reasonable time-frame. Nurses and associates are prompt with follow-up reminders and give personal direct lines for you to contact them with questions and concerns.PROFESSIONALISM: At Boston Plastic you will be given ample face-to-face time with your doctor, Dr. Samaha, as well as your anaestetiaologist, surgery nurse and patient coordinator. They are attentive, friendly, knowledgable and will even recognize you by name. Any time you are meeting with Dr. Samaha, you will have another experienced staff member present in the room (probably Maureen). You will not feel rushed - Dr. Samaha makes himself readily available, and can even fit you in last-minute if needed. Upon first contact with Boston Plastic, you will receive an email from a patient coordinator (probably Maureen) to set up an introductory call free-of-charge. You’ll find the patient information documents provided to you at introduction are clear, simple and up-to-date, unlike other practices I’ve consulted. This includes information on what is means to be “board certified” and more insight into the qualifications of Dr. Samaha and the Boston Plastic facility.PATIENT EXPERIENCE: No waiting. No lines. You will be seen promptly, on-time, at the time of your appointment. Like most major surgeries, you will be contacted shortly before your surgery date for the exact time of operation, usually scheduled between 6am and noon. The Boston Plastic operating room is IN-HOUSE. No hospitals. No unfamilar faces. Just steps steps away from your usual exam room. On your surgery date, you will meet your anaestetiaologist in-person to get acquainted with ample time for questions. The head surgery nurse (who you met with pre-op) will greet and speak with you as well. In the OR you will be cared for by several experienced Boston Plastic nurses, who will calm/distract you and make you feel at ease before going under. You’ll also be cared for by an OR nurse (probably Deb) post-op who will walk you out to your friends/family. You’ll receive a personalized post-op care plan with planned times of medication (that you’ll already have filled and picked up at your first pre-op appointment) specific guidelines for care, restrictions etc. Your head nurse will be available for contact 24/7 weekdays & weekends, and will also call you a couple days post-op to check-in.All my thanks go to Dr. Samaha, Maureen, Jill, Kaity, Deb & team for being a part of this life-changing life event, and for making my operation and recovery as seamless as can be. Should I be needed another major surgery during my time in Boston, I will most definitely be going to Boston Plastic Surgery.
Daniela Vincent: I see NP Rachel Cohen for all my injectables. She is absolutely fantastic. She is a great listener and very educated. My lips are very natural looking but now have that plump it was lacking. I highly recommend.

Leslie McCowan: I cannot recommend Kathy and Boston Plastic Surgery enough. My experience there was wonderful, from the immaculate office and professional staff to Kathy's expertise and keen observation skills. I was seen for a Vi peel due to some sun spots that I had become very self conscious about. Kathy was thorough in her explanation of the recommended treatment and expected results, gentle and thorough in the process, and astute in noticing a pre-cancerous lesion on my nose. She recommended that I be seen by my dermatologist who then froze it off, commending Kathy for observing the need for action. I have also been following the skin care regiment that Kathy had recommended many months ago, and note that my skin is brighter, healthier and wrinkles far less noticeable. I could not ask for better care.

Jeanna Petrucelli: I can’t say enough amazing things about Boston Plastic surgery. From the moment you walk in the door and are graciously greeted by lisa or sue, you feel right at home. Kathy is the best esthetician and she’s so much more than that! She’s so knowledgeable about the products and doesn’t force anything ever on you. You never feel rushed w her and so at ease and I completely trust her- it’s the reason I allow my 13 year old daughter to do laser w her because I know she’s in the best hands. I also adore and trust Maryanne and know she takes her time and is so thoughtful in her process and knowledgeable and patient. Maureen seals the total package of Boston Plastics and puts such thoughtful touches. Miss J: I got botox here on my forehead in November. The results are good. There is a tiny bit of wrinkle in the right corner of my forehead when I raise my eyebrow but the rest of my forehead can't be lifted at all. I am impressed with the results and glad nothing bad happened.

Abigail Lauren Murphy: Dr. Seckel and his team were incredibly accommodating, responsive, and professional throughout the entire process. I felt comfortable trusting the doctor's expertise and would recommend him to anybody who asked. They accommodated my scheduling needs while I was in Hawaii for work and scheduled as much remote consultation as possible to fit my calendar and the time difference. The surgery itself was seamless and I felt informed and well taken care of in the pre-op as well as the recovery phase. My pain was effectively and appropriately managed and the 24-hour hotline provided by BPSS's nurses lent a great deal of trust that I would always have someone to reach out to for any concerns in my post-op recovery. Stellar service all around.

His priority is your safety, He was very gentle with my procedure which made my recovery time very fast and easy. Also, the nurse Paul and the anesthesiologist were amazing! They explained the whole process very well, they both very sweet and professionals.Update 6 months after surgery.My procedures were TT and back liposuction. Unfortunately, my back is not fully free of fat, i still have a lower belly and my bellybutton is almost gone. After my last follow up appointment, i expressed my concerns and i was told that he had to leave fat in my back so I don't look too skinny, my still lower belly that's how my muscles are and my almost gone bellybutton was because of the way my body healed. I actually went to another surgeon and that one told me after looking at the bellybutton suture picture that it was a poor technique, my recovery time was so fast after TT because the muscles in my lower belly were not pulled enough (i was literally able to walk straight after 2 days) and the fat in my back was not fully removed.Dr. D i believe my be an excellent BBL surgeon but not for TT based on my experience, and BBL is what he does every day. I don't know why I decided to have surgery with him when I probably saw only one TT procedure on his IG page. Now, i need surgery again.

I interviewed several doctors before I made the decision to even have surgery, and Dr. DelVecchio was the only one who gave me realistic expectations. Shae Sedona: I had Lipo 360, fat transfer to my breasts, and a skinny BBL w/ Dr. Del Vecchio last week. My initial consult w/ Dr. Del Vecchio was very good - he was straight forward and honest about what I can and cannot expect. I had to gain weight for the procedure, and he gave me some advice on how to do this quickly and easily. The whole team was very communicative prior to my procedure (mainly by text, which I appreciated given my busy schedule - I can almost never pick up the phone). The nurse anesthetist even called me the night before my procedure to go over everything and answer any questions I had. I was very nervous the morning of my procedure but the nurse anesthetist put me at ease by talking about anesthesia techniques and drugs (I am in the medical field as well, so I enjoy talking about this kind of thing). The other surgical assistant/nurse was great as well, very kind and accommodating (I asked him to take my to the bathroom to pee about 50 times). Dr. Del Vecchio examined me again, and discussed my goals and the surgical plan again to make sure we were on the same page, and then drew on me with marker which also made me feel very good (maybe physically seeing the plan drawn on my body put me at ease). Then I was given an IV catheter and some amazing drugs and don't remember anything other than waking up and feeling a little tender but overall good. My husband drove me home (I don't remember much of this either), and the first day I mostly rested. I had 2 JP (bulb/suction) drains in, which I had to empty a lot the first 36 hrs, but then the draining slowed. Both the nurse anesthetist and Dr. Del Vecchio texted me to check in the day after my procedure, and answered a few questions I had. My recovery was mostly uneventful, but I did have a concern on day 5 post-op, on EASTER SUNDAY. I texted Dr. Del Vecchio and within 3 MINUTES he responded, and helped me with my concern (and seemed happy to do so, even on a Sunday, and a Holiday!). I just had my drains removed today (day 7) and am feeling very good. I am IN LOVE with my results so far! I still have some swelling and bruising, but can already see my beautiful new body shape. I have been self-conscious about my uneven hips and buttocks my whole life (results of a vascular condition in my right leg, making that leg 2 inches shorter). My shape is perfectly symmetrical - even though symmetry can never be guaranteed with plastic surgery, Dr. Del Vecchio nailed it. My breasts are full and my waist is smaller as well. Patricia Banks: From the 1st phone call the staff at JL plastic Surgery made me feel welcomed and well taken care of. Shauna was there from start to finish, from spending 30 minutes on the phone answering my questions, to going in the exam room where I met Dr. Lee and discusses my options. Upon deciding what procedure I was going to have, I was scheduled for my surgery 3 months after my consultation.On the day of my procedure I was scared, nervous and excited. The surgical staff was calm, kind and caring and put me at ease. The anesthesiologist was informative, kind with a bit of humor that made we laugh and relax at the same time. I was lucky enough to get to stay the evening and was assigned to one nurse who stayed with me all evening making sure I was comfortable and relaxed.The next morning Dr Lee arrived to discharged me home. Kelly Short: I am one week out from my Facetite procedure and am so pleased! Dr. Lee and his team (Shauna and Sam) were compassionate, calming and professional. Dr. Lee came highly recommended to me by a friend who is a nurse (and also a patient of his), so I did not consult with other surgeons for this procedure and I am so glad I didn't.There is a lot of misinformation out there about this procedure, what it entails, what the recovery and results are like, etc. If you are considering it, schedule a consultation with Dr. Lee. He will answer all of your questions! While some surgeons only do Facetite & lipo or Facetite & Morpheus 8, Dr. Lee's approach (at least with me) was to do all 3 (Facetite, lipo, Morpheus 8) to give me the best possible results. I still have quite a bit of healing to do, but I am already pleased with my outcome and would do it again without hesitation.The only piece of advice I heard was to not watch any videos of this procedure (I waited until mine was completed), and I agree with that. While it looks pretty gnarly, I was never in any pain, it's more of just a weird sensation of some pulling and pressure.I will definitely be going back to Dr. Lee and his wonderful staff for future services, both surgical and non-surgical...I know I am in the MOST capable hands with them. I got a breast implant removal surgery done, and while going over the options, the risks, the pros and cons of each detail of the surgery, they were incredibly thorough and conservative in their approach. They did not try to sell me on any services that I didn't need, and they didn't play on my insecurities like other plastic surgeons have done to me in the past in order to make a sale. It was an emotional decision making process for me, and they made me feel incredibly seen and heard. Pre-op and post-op, they answered any and all questions that I had. And not to mention, the entire surgery went perfectly smoothly, and their anesthesia team they work with was incredibly attentive and compassionate as well. I guess he only caters to a particular demographic, however I went for chin lipo and it was clear that he did not want to do the procedure on me, he was very condescending and short and his response to my questions. The receptionist was very snotty as well. I would never advise or recommend him to African Americans. Everything in my soul told me to leave and cancel the appointment the receptionist was very quick to cancel my appointment and refund my deposit which told me they didn't want to do it to begin with I'm at peace with my decision to walk away! Richard Peebles: Dr. Lee and his team are beyond AMAZING!!! I have been seeing Dr. Lee since 2018 for Botox injections. I was too nervous to go to a "spa injector" and didn't trust any Groupon deals for Botox. So, I decided I needed/wanted something done with the the wrinkles in my forehead due to over expression. I was originally considering surgery, but Dr. Lee was very honest at my 1st consultation; he gave me options for surgery, but highly recommended Botox to start. Nicki G.: I recently received cheek filler and a series of Emsculpt treatments on my abdomen after having my second baby a year prior. I was very pleased with my experience at Dr. Lee's office. Him and his staff are so kind, welcoming, and very knowledgeable. His nurse Shauna, did a wonderful job making me feel comfortable the entire time as this was my first time receiving filler. After the first Emsculpt I was very happy with how strong my abdomen and I noticed my posture was immediately improved; I was standing much taller/straighter than I was before. Another thing I was happy with was the tightening effect. The overall shape and size of my belly is smaller; my abdomen no longer looks as wide, protrudes forward, or hangs as much as it did before. The Emsculpt increases in strength, and everyone's discomfort level is different, but for me having had children I found very little discomfort. The machine alternates between sort of a slapping and pulling motion. If anything I have had cramps far worse than this!

Anna Walker: I am more than pleased with my experience with Dr. Darrow. I recently underwent a breast augmentation and love my results.I spent many months researching plastic surgeons (looking through before and after photos, looking at websites, and certifications) and kept coming back to Dr. Darrow. I loved his photos the most because I found that his breast augmentation results looked the most real and natural.Pre- consultation: I emailed Dr. Darrow’s assistant and made an appointment about a month or two out from when I called. I really appreciated that there was no consultation fee. For me this is a small but larger gesture than one may think. It shows that he was more interested in my personal happiness than receiving money from me.Consultation: I felt very comfortable and happy being in his office. He is an extremely knowledgeable surgeon who answered my never-ending list of questions, never making me feel like I was wasting his time and/ or was being rushed. He was very upfront with me and told me the negatives that can result from a breast augmentation but reassured me on how to prevent it from happening. Another thing I appreciated was that he did say something along the lines of “even if it is not me, please make sure you have a surgeon who you are extremely comfortable with and is not just a plastic surgeon but is also an American Board certified plastic surgeon.” Again, this shows he is interested in my own happiness and will give me this best advice to do so.Surgery day: He does perform his surgeries at his own practice which may make some people more nervous vs being in a hospital. I was not nervous at all and felt very comfortable with his staff – Alexandria, Kim (nurse), and anesthesiologist who I can’t remember the name. My surgery was very quick (about an hour to an hour and a half). I came out feeling amazing! I know recovery is different for everyone, I watched many breast augmentation vlogs on youtube and it seemed liked I had the easiest recovery out of them all (I know this can vary depending on the amount of breast tissue you have beforehand). All I had was minor discomfort at times, but no pain and I didn’t even take all the medications that were given. I personally believe this is a reflection on your surgeon. My stiches are also very small and minimal which shows he is highly skilled. I love the size and shape of my breasts and finally have the breasts I have always dreamed of.Post Op: Everything is healing really well, and they look great. He again answered all my questions and informed me about what I can and cannot do. We will have another appointment in a month or so to take photos and make sure I am all good to go!I highly recommend Dr. Darrow!

Ash: Had lipo of abs and flanks...... ruined my stomach (took way too much fat out in different parts of my stomach) and my flanks are so lumpy. Had to have a revision some where else which cost me $10k. Had to get a fat grapht to my stomach to address the mess he left. Also was left with two egg sized cysts on my stomach that were filled with blood. And will need another fat graft. I’ve chatted with a several people on RealSelf who also have messed up lipo because of him. There’s so many surgeons out there. BEWARE.

Rachel M: After spending years saving for rhinoplasty, I’m disappointed to say this has been the worst experience of my life. I’m horrified by my results and hardly ever left the house post-surgery because of this. One of my nostrils has almost completely collapsed making it difficult to breathe. There is almost no difference in the size after I specified I wanted a shorter nose with a small, defined shape. What I received was nothing close to this. My nose seems even bigger than before and I’ll be having to spend thousands with a more trustworthy surgeon elsewhere. Don’t waste your time, look elsewhere. I wish I received this warning before ever scheduling any appointment.

Dr Darrow and his staff were great, however my results weren’t even close to my expectations.I had a rhinoplasty done over 1 year ago after a lifetime of hating my nose’s shape and size.From the moment the cast was removed, I knew I wasn’t happy with it. I cried on my entire ride back home, avoided looking at my own face in the mirror for months, hate taking pictures of my face, specially close ups..To this day, family and friends (who were not aware of my surgery) have not noticed any difference whatsoever. The improvement was minimum.It has no definition, a round/ ball tip, the bridge is too wide, and my profile is not straight. I was also left with a tiny hole in my cartilage which makes my nose whistle when I breath...I went back to speak with Dr Darrow about a revision roughly 10 months after and was turned down. Dr Darrow said to me he couldn’t deliver what I was looking for. He recommended me to go see his colleague, which I did, paid for a consultation. His colleague gave me a price of over $13,000.00 for a revision because, his own words, there is a lot that needs to be done.Not that this matters but this was a dream of mine since I was a teenager. I was made fun of because I had a “big nose”.. I saved up and planned for a long time to make this happen and I cant even begin to explained how extremely disappointed I am.So if you are planning on getting a nose job there, please make sure you go over every tiny detail and expectations before committing. He had the best price out of all doctors I saw and the couple of thousands I saved, will now cost me 5 times more.

Ruth K: I saw Dr Darrow to discuss an issue I had with a bump under my eye after having an under eye blepharoplasty with another surgeon. The operating plastic surgeon said it was nothing that could be corrected (gave me a few different reasons why). I was unhappy a year later, as it was all I could see when I looked in the mirror, even though I was overall happy with the result. The bump under my eye could get very large and swollen. On a whim, I thought I would seek a second opinion in Dr Darrow. Not only did he give me his opinion on how to fix it from the simple to complex (wait, it IS fixable?? News to me!!!), he tried using a very minute amount of injected steroid to help. It has been five days and I haven't seen the bump come back. This is amazing. I only paid for the consult and certainly was not expecting the time he gave me to hear my concerns, he did not discount them like the other doctor had and the willingness to try something while I was there. He said it would not worsen the bump but might improve it. So far, it has. He told me to follow up in a month to know for sure if it is resolved. I will definitely return to Dr Darrow for future improvements. He has a very nice manner and calming way about him.
