Nick Leger: I called BBP after noticing a water leak behind my washer machine. Ryan was able to come out and assess the situation within 24 hours and scheduled Tom to inspect and repair.Tom came out two days later and was able to spot the source of the leak, and suggested i replace my entire washer/dryer stack. I declined, since the leak just appeared to be a $30 hose to have failed. Tom also suggested the HVAC unit nearby needed to be cleaned, to which I mentioned I have an HVAC service scheduled for two weeks later. After the weekend, Tom came back with a new hose to repair and tried charging me $900 after claiming to have serviced my HVAC (though he wouldn't tell me exactly what he did) and replaced gas hoses to the dryer which was absolutely unnecessary.I've used many home professionals in the past and I've never felt like I've tried to get taken advantage of until now. Giving two stars since I assume the work was actually completed within a week, but to be charged $900 for a hose replacement is absolutely shameful. They came and said they needed to open part of the wall and quoted $425 (which doesn't include fixing the leak or restoring the wall). We paid them $125 for their visit and didn't ask them to come back. Later, we found an opening ourselves behind the dishwasher that allowed us to look at the pipes. They charge $125 just to visit you and because $125 can be deducted from the cost of actual repair, you're lured into thinking that you should use them for the repair but they just end up costing you more money! Karl Dugal: I had my first boiler die after 11 years of owning a two-family house. Worse, it was in the middle of January leaving my tenant without heat. I had several plumbers/plumbing and heating companies come and look to access the damage and what replacing the system would entail. Most highlighted the issues I faced switching from oil to gas, and the dated piping my steam system involved. Some estimates were out of control and others suggested sticking with oil. Knowing I needed heat for the coming months, but not wanting to overspend put me in a tough position. Tom took a look at everything, and wrote me up an estimate immediately afterwards. I asked a few follow up questions regarding the possible issues switching to gas and he assured me that it was the right move, and included a warranty on all the work. We set up a date to install/remove old boiler in 3 days. Tim and his crew arrived on time the morning of install, and completed all of the work by dinner time. Everything was left neat, and clean and Tim even swapped out some vents on the radiators for me, and stuck around to make sure the system ran correctly. Additionally, the clanging in pipes which I had heard for years was corrected. Furthermore, both Tom and Tim contacted me in the days following install to check and make sure myself and my tenant were stratified with the systems performance. Highly recommend and will definitely be calling again if/when the other boiler needs replacement.

Dijana Hadzic-Comenzo: Absolutely fantastic company!!!Tom and his guys are so professional and amazing at what they doI am also going to respond to one of the reviews left by Amelia Anthony.Her and her boyfriend moved in into the unit that had an issue with gas leak that I was not aware of.As a landlord ,that is one of the things that I do not want my tenants to deal with ,or experience .Boston budget pluming showed up on the same day to fix all leaks indicated by the national grid. Unfortunately life isn't perfect ,and several hours later tenants notice that they can smell gas again. Tom send another one of his guys to come that night to take care of that.Next day,they reported to smell more gas and proceeded to call another company.They noticed that the leak was coming from behind the stove and were instructed by me to fix it.Unfortunately nothing in life is perfect,but the fact that 3 different plumbing companies and the inspector made sure to come in ,on the moments notice to fix and inspect everything is something that I am thankful for . Especially in these times,when it is hard to find someone to do the job and to show up.On the issue of permit,they didn't need the permit to fix any of the leaks . But they needed a permit to put in a vent (fan in a can),which they obtain . As I have gone over that with Amelia and her boyfriend. The day was set for that work to be done ,but unfortunately ,even after the last pluming company, called in by them , has explained to Amelia and her boyfriend that everything looks good and they are good to go until the vent is installed.Unfortunately that didn't work for the two of you and you have decided to move out after only 12 days and have been refunded your rent.This all being,I was so saddened that I wasn't able to give you a perfect place ,but at the end all the people that have shows up did the best they could and more to resolve the issue.Good luck to you bothAnd at the end I just wanna thank not just Boston budget plumbing but all the other companies that shows up and did a fantastic job.Thank you and stay safe !!!

T C: My water pipe burst at 1:00 am this morning. My landlord called this place and Trevor came at 2:00 am. He was extremely courteous and professional. He investigated and turned the water off and said he would return at 9:00 am to finish the repair. He left around 2:30 am. He came back right on time and located the leak with a carpenter. Impossible to schedule at a convenient time, doesn't send the plumber who worked on the problem last. Unpleasant to deal with on the phone. This company is the worst. Do not hire them.

Peter Rodesia: Recently we had flooding in the basement without any idea of the source - turns out it was a boiler in the building next stoor which has burst and somehow (gotta love Beacon Hill!) the water seeped through one basement floor and up into another. The only reason we knew that is because BHP had been considerate enough to contact us when they heard - thru the grapevine - about our mystery issue. This saved us an incredible amount of worrying and $$$.I always ask up front for an estimate and take into account any minimal charge - a few of us in the building have on occassion coupled our plumbing requests to make it worth their while. When we were considering piping gas so that the electric stove could be replaced with gas, they stopped by, took a look, provided all the answers, no charge.

Jan Korall: Have lived in Beacon Hill for years and have experienced major issues (old pipe in basement burst) and minor (replacing fixtures) and the guys at Beacon Hill Plumbing have always responded immediately and provided excellent work.When I put in a new kitchen they were able to do the plumbing and gas work, even though this is not their general business. They priced better than other plumbers who really were not interested in a small job.
