Sawyer Klebs: I live literally next to the place and don’t own a car so the parking isn’t an issue, but the parking lot sure is. This is a horribly designed place where the backs of the buildings are painted to look like traditional sidewalk storefronts which is rather telling about what is actually a pleasing place, I.e not this place. It’s just a strip mall plopped into the middle of Somerville, honestly a horrible place to be. Pedestrianize the open air aspect of it and shove the parking off to one side. It would be more pleasing to all of the parking lot were not the central part of the “open air” experience. Honestly depressing
Dan M: Great city shopping center. Although the parking lot always looks full I’m always able to find a spot. They have a 24 hr super market too which is clutch. The liquor store is pretty good with tastings. Cambridge Naturals is probably the best feature. The CVS is big, there’s a childrens toy store and the workers are always helpful. The dunks is a bit depressing and never used the dental spot. The michaels is just OK too but it’s big. Last time I shopped there though the frames I bought were broken after I took them out of the packaging and it’s been a real pain to get a refund since they charged me again when I tried to return it but I digress.

Angelina Schultz: I use to really love this bookstore and I got all my older son’s books from here. Back then they had a kids table and chairs with even some shareable toys as well as a giant teddy bear. Since Covid started however, they got rid of all the chairs, toys etc. It has become increasingly uncomfortable to browse books there (also contributing to this is the people trying to walk through to get to the restroom). I don’t understand why the table and chairs can’t return. Certainly I get the giant teddy could be a germ magnet! But to not have a place to sit and read a book to a child is a really shame. I spent yesterday trying to sit on their new (cold) floor and having my legs go numb as I tried to appease my 2 year old. PLEASE return the table and chairs! (And maybe while you are at it, can restroom users go through the other door near the science section???!!!) Why is it ok to have people push kids aside or step over them? (Perhaps because kids can’t advocate for themselves? I don’t know)

Robert Swenson: Staff is very helpful. Store has more than you can browse in a day, covering woodworking, carving, drawer and cabinet hardware, and resin casting.I don't live nearby, so I try to stop in whenever I am in the area. Really great place.

I felt really dumb because what should have been an easy fix was, in fact, a mess. The gentlemen who helped me were awesome. I showed them the old hinge and described the cabinet door and placement. They told me what I needed was no longer made, but showed me the newer way of doing it and how to install it. I finally got around to doing it. Cabinet fixed!

Just as nearby Porter Square books survived and thrived as an indie store attuned to neighborhood even w Amazon, Barnes and Noble, so too this wonderfully stocked children's toy+ store has well outlasted the big box toy stores. This location part of a small "chain" of at least 3 other locations in the wider area.

I bought 2 pairs and was gifted 3 pairs— the earrings are not sized correctly to fit any standard earring backs. On 1/2 the pairs, when I removed the rubber stoppers kept on for display purposes, the earring backs that came with the earrings slid right off!! I bought these earrings during a vacation in Cambridge, and I cannot return them as I live in a different state. I was really dissapointed that half of the pairs were completely unusable. The other half do not fit a standard back and the back they come with is quite loose. Of the 5, only one pair survived. A total rip off. I recommend you avoid at all costs!!!

Khera Douglass: You should know about wines if you go to this store. I'm not a big wine person but I was buying some for dinner with friends. I asked about Bourbon Barrel, aged Zinfandel, and the short woman with glasses, and two buns said we don't carry that. I had to interrupt her conversation with the other clerk to ask the question. I then had to ask where the Zinfandels were. She pointed them out and went back to her conversation... I would have loved for someone to ask me what I was looking for and help me find it. But, maybe the clerks are just there to take money and aren't knowledgeable about wine.

Thomas Vaccaro: Has more or less the bare essentials, with a few important products missing. One of the more expensive liquor stores in the neighborhood. The owner is unhelpful, too; and in some cases they have been rude to people I know in town. Plenty of options elsewhere.

On a rainy day, I went there to buy some wine but they refused to sell because I wasn't carrying my passport -- of course, I always carry the most important document I have when I go buy wine, especially in the occasion of a storm.When a friend (28yo) tried to purchase they also refused because the person saw him talking to me.Impressive the amount of red tape we face and the treatment we get.

The person I spoke with didn't know the item I was asking about even existed, but after a few minutes on hold said they carried it. I came in and another store associate looked around and said they didn’t have it. I later called and got the first person I talked to, she told me to come by again and she'd find it for me. It turns out she didn't know they had it in stock but the manager had just told her they probably have it. Then she confirmed she didn’t know where it was, and had me go look myself, and of course I didn't find it. Waist of stairs.

Rena Lund: Horrible customer service. Curbside pick up was a joke. I sat out there for 20 minutes with my kid in his car seat. I called three times. She kept telling me he couldn’t find me even though I was in front of the door and no one came out. This is not the first time I had problems with curbside pick up at the store. It’s a joke .
