Massachusetts General Hospital-The Bressler Clinical and Research Program: what do users think?
D Ac: The office staff will block access to your doctor. They will do this even if it endangers the child. Find somewhere else.
Elfy Gacha: Add another horrible review for Bressler. Not only is the front office process a nightmare, you can't count on them to honor their appointments. Started the scheduling process in June of last year, and here it is the week in March before my daughter's appointment, and they call to reschedule to a time we are not available. Why does this place even exist when the MGH's Lurie Center for Autism is so professionally and highly regarded worldwide?
Sarah Sheikh: Office staff is extremely unprofessional and rude, despite having been seen here for years. If you enjoy not being belittled on the phone when calling to ask about prescription status, I suggest you find another practice.
Zazil Mardones: Itai B. Is literally a nightmare to schedule with. Extremely unprofessional and extremely rude. He tried to reschedule me to be seen earlier (did not really make a difference to me, but okay fine) when I let him know that the days he had given me did not work for me he rudely asked why not, what is so important that I cannot reschedule. I found it rude, at this point I will be looking somewhere else.
Bo Shang: literally the top research/clinical program for ASD in the world; doctors and staff are extremely affable; free parking ($50 value per trip) and perhaps other compensation if you participate in research; clinical alone is top notch too!

Arbour Hospital: what do users think?
keri lopes: Staff doesn’t care about patients. I checked myself in to get help, yet I was heavily medicated and ignored. The psychiatrist, nurses, and nursing supervisor did nothing regarding the complaints I filed while inpatient. The staff lost my personal belongings, didn’t inform me what my plan of care or medication regimen was. When I questioned the nurse, Tina I was lied to about a medication I was given as I was clear I was as unable to take that particular medication. Staff is rude and downright mean and disrespectful to patients. The staff is lazy and speaks foreign language in front of patients as well as making fun of them and teasing them. I was released onto the streets heavily medicated and in a psychotic episode that progressed rapidly. This place is disgusting from the patient care, the filthy facility, and the useless staff and administrators. Disgusting that people who need the most help are being abused this way. Shameful!!!!
George Erickson: I had a brief relapse with alcohol while I was in a program on 4/10/23. I was suicidal and in a blackout when I arrived at the er at MGH. The following day I was transferred to Arbour JP. I had no idea what to expect on arrival. I am pleased to report I was treated with respect and kindness. I was a patient for 2 weeks before I was readmitted to my program. I thank Arbour for keeping me safe and comfortable throughout. The food was good and was never hungry. I want to send a special thanks to my caseworker Kat who manged my return to Brookline quickly and kept me posted on bed openings. She also put together a flawless discharge which eased the anxiety I had about leaving. If you simply follow the rules, know your medications and be respectful of fellow patients and staff you can't go wrong at this hospital. Best,George Erickson
Astrid: literally such a bad hospital, i was sent here a couple months ago and all the staff did was complain about their jobs. N1 was for ppl under 18 years old and no one ever wanted to go to N1. you could hear the staff complain abt how they want to quit. and the so called "school" was so stupid all you did was do wordcrosses and some activity that wasnt worth your time, and if you didnt go to "school" you would lose your privileges. (which wasnt much)
Ashley Brennan: Horrible food. 1/5Wouldn't recommend
Erin Sullivan: Years ago, this hospital and one if there nurses overdosed me on antipsychotics. I have tourette syndrome and they caused me medication toxicity. They abused me and became very sick as a result, necessitating the need to transport me to Tufts ER where they found high levels of Thorazine and haloperidol in my blood. Terry, a nurse with arbor ABUSED ME. I was never transferred back after back after I recovered medically and psychiatrically ar tufts medical center in Boston. ThisPlace makes me so sad looking back and don't even remember half Mt stay bc they knocked ms out dt tourette syndrome- a neuropsychiatric condition that is very hard to control. They also stole all Mmy personal belongings when u transferred by ambulance to tufts from .
Jackie marie Oneill: Hi I was inpatient a month ago this was my first locked in stay I was terrified to be honest I was put in a Jonny waiting to speak to nurse about my first room I had to hold my gown togsther while guys stared at me ! The nurses were good I told them I had huge anxiety about meds ! Wrong thing to say they just loaded you up on more ! I took them tho ! I had scabies so I felt awful I didn’t want to give it to dbt body else ! I made sure staff snd nurse knew . They didn’t seem to care lol I was more worried about it then they were . The food was good I made some cool friends while I was there ! South 3 was horrible I was put there first I dunno why I was scared it was like jail to me ! But I made out ok I think . The one big complaint I had is staff shining the light in your eyes when you were trying to sleep it was annoying as someone with ptsd it triggered me alot ! I also think female should do the checks but I get it not enough staff . The ward was super cold but I will say this it got rid of my scabies for two weeks ! I did see the doc there sorry but he was very rude to me saying that I didn’t have bugs in me “ and that I had dop which I don’t but whatever . I received pretty good care ! But it wouldn’t be my first choice if I ever need to be hospitalized again but ty I know it’s not easy !
Brittany Kraft: Most of the staff seemed like they hated their job and could care less about the patients. I would over hear them making comments to each other about patients or work in general. If you don’t like working there then why are you there.I ended up signing a three day asap because I couldn’t stand the place. I’ve been to over 6 different hospitals and this was the worse.I didn’t get the help I actually needed.
So “Truth” ba: I went today and saw my daughterfor first time, so far everything is looking fine, I keep visiting and will write more, I'm a mother and will not cover for no one, am here for my daughter, for now everything is looking good, the staff is good, thanks
JERMEL JAMISON: OH GOD THE ARBOUR HOSPITAL, U R AN LIFE SAVER.
Cameron Kernizan: A $1700 bill to sit in a zoom class with non productive speaking and see a psychiatrist one time. Astonishing. Wonder why no one seeks helps.
S G: It's very scary to get a referral for this place with horrible reviews..... I will change doctors if they found this place suitable.
Leah Hamed: I was there three years ago. I've been to numerous pysch hospitals, including McLean in Belmont and Brockton. I was pleasantly surprised by this hospital. All the staff wereextremely nice. I felt safe and listened to here. Just one older orderly was cranky, but not mean.
Yuni Moody (Nikki): I see they finally disabled the comments. Good! It shows who they really are!
Anthony Losanno: Metal health is a serious problem and you will compound it if you enter that hospital. Communication is awful and the treatment of patients are even worst. Please seek help somewhere else.
Lauren Fitch: I was referred to the outpatient program today for med management and therapeutic help. I have adhd and autism. The social worker seemed okay and told me that the program would work with me. Immediately upon walking in I noticed no one was masked, and I have two autoimmunes. When I raised my concerns about no social distancing and no mask mandates, the social worker simply said “we can’t control everyone.” The group therapy consisted of watching Pilates videos on YouTube, Steve Harvey motivational speeches on YouTube, and coloring a ven diagram- coloring, not filling it out or talking about it, coloring. Another patient came out of the bathroom with a joint in his mouth, and the security guard did nothing. There was no supervision during breaks and during my visit with the doctor, I expressed my concerns. She again told me they can’t control everyone, and then proceeded to tell me I can live without my adhd meds since I haven’t been on them lately, and that I didn’t seem to have adhd or autism since I could speak on what was going on. I did not feel safe at anytime, and when I said I was concerned with the lack of structure and safety measures, I was simply told to leave and that they couldn’t control anyone. It seems like a Covid cesspool. Ive been in day programs before. I had multiple panic attacks throughout the day and staff just looked at me and carried on. It was more like a social gathering then group therapy. I need structure and supervision in my care, not chaos and gaslighting. Do not come here. Visit another day program. I wish I had seen a review like this before listening to the ER doctors. The program was also overfilled and under staffed. There had to be 30 people in the room. I’m going to a facility in Brookline next week to receive care. When I left, I was shaking with anxiety. I left worse then when I went in.
Kobi Day: This hospital helped me soooo much I'm good today because of them if ur dealing with addiction n mental issues this place will help you!!!
Gina Va: Older male nurse with a beard and glasses is just downright foul.Stay here was horrible. Never any cold water or nothing.Medication knocked me out. Kept on medicating me. Nurse on North 3 is mean. South 2 was nicer.
Laquanda Nisha: Old Caucasian male day nurse on N3 was extremely unprofessional. Constantly made rude and unnecessary remarks. Always felt so uncomfortable when I had to get medication from him. He picks on his patients and belittles us. The way he talks to us is filled with contempt and sees us as beneath him. Me and many other patients have had to put up with this nasty man. Please fix this. I was only able to stay sane because the female nurses and staff would listen to me and made me felt heard.Bathroom had to be shared with other people. It smelled like feces. Food was alright. Besides how the nurses treated us it was okay.
Justin Wilson: They feed people PCP That’s Why the patients are crazy in there. BE CAREFUL AND PROTECT YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS they breed mental illness by using pcp in foods and pills pretty sure their entire state is being given pcp. Stay away from marijuana.
X Demonic: TERRIBLE ITS LIKE A PRISON !!!
Curt Perez: Arbour Hospital treat their patients like animals or children.Nurses are hateful and they mock you.

Tufts Medical Center Psychiatry: what do users think?
marcia fallon: Blake Ritter NP is truly amazing, caring and is very knowledgeable.
Will Change: Dr Lisa Bosco refused to help my daughter with her mental illness wanted to up her meds witch has been before with bad outcomes she needs to stay on her medication witch the doctor said no and if she don't up her Dr Lisa is medication that she will not get any more Dr Lisa Bosco should not be allowed to work with mental health problems she is a health risk
Connie Henry: I was wanting to die. Nothing mattered anymore. But these people talked and listened to me and showed they really cared. I was kept over night and for the first time I felt a little safe. I haven't felt safe anywhere at all in any level for years. They helped me and Im greatful for them being there. The best hospital I've ever been in is Tufts in Boston.

Bournewood Hospital: what do users think?
Tara Media: Friendly atmosphere, professional & welcoming staff. we had a great experience with all staff at adolescent Chestnut hill location, they even ask for permission to give my daughter Tylenol, special thanks for Beth, Alexa & Dr. Hart
Nichole: most of the staff were nice. everyone in dodge one was chill. emerson has a chaotic hallway, probably haunted or something. hospital is 135 years old. assaulted on the unit. threatened. most of the staff were nice, but one nurse tried to gaslight me and gave me a knock out pill. discharge was a confusing mess. half of what i wanted to get done got done. but i think more can be done to guarantee safety, especially on E1. TRY to go to groups. some of them are great.
faith bastille: i was on the adolescent unit dodge 2, and it really helped me out, the staff, ricky, justin, charus, timothy, sophia, lynn, sheila and even the unpaid intern amir!! I also met my bestest friends aubrey, lily, and nicole there and i wouldnt have been able to continue focusing on me without them.
Maddie Rose: just got out of this place i had the best time!! i feel so fresh and they helped me so much. All the staff where amazing Charus the most. The kids are amazing to all very kind i made all kinds of friends and felt very welcomed! it was very clean and the environment was welcoming, other than the meds being a bit uncomfy and the food not to good everything was so amazing! There is one staff member who wasnt the nicest tho, she pulled me into a room and told me she was disappointed in me for something i didnt know about. But over all this place is amazing and i really recommend it :)
Korina Champagne: Do not be deceived by this hospital it may look nice on the outside but it is far from that on the inside. This was by far the worst mental health hospital stay in the history of mental health stays. I can say from an insider's view and an eye witness that the psychiatric nurse that is medicating one in particular patient whom upon my arrival was sound in mind after half a week was suffering from complete psychosis. I have never seen anything like this in my life. I am horrified the staff is some of the rudest women I have ever met in my life. They are lazy and have a poor attitude towards patients which is extremely abusive. Personally I suffer from severe anxiety and they abruptly out of nowhere stopped giving my anxiety medication to me. They wanted to prescribe me something that made me feel like a zombie. They do not follow their own schedule, they make up their own rules as they go along it is very inconsistent. They do not follow your medication regiment that you have been on by your med provider. They serve dinner for lunch and lunch for dinner. Even though this facility allows you to smoke there are only 5 smoke breaks A-day that they use as privileges. You are not allowed to use your phone at all. They only do laundry once a week. When you leave you will be missing some of your belongings So be prepared.
chase, ray, dakota, pluto star: Staff was bad injored a kid in croinc pain and who was swearing at staff because he was puking in the bathroom and told him to calm down and injored a girl screaming vital thing they moslty cared about you being sudical and no other issue that you had i hated the place there was door handles and the windows the food tasted horrablie the only good thing is the other patinces they where lovly but everything else sucked "the er had more protection then this locatian"The night staff was amazing shout out to justin and charus who wasent badPeople said "it literally makes it worst" and it dose i woudl recoomed not going here but mental units are costly
Nikola Whittlesey: Treacherous prison. Dishonest staff. Misleading website. H*ll on Earth. Allow me to explain. They WILL NOT tell you visits are a 30 minute max. Not in the website. Not to their patients. Not even when you call. Why? Because the hospital staff want to sit in the visitor room and watch TV instead of do their job. Probably because they despise working at h*ll on earth. Here's a thought: Maybe don't run a hospital if you don't give a d*mn about anyone inside it.
Millie Snowfall: Absolutely terrible, I told them that I have an allergy to a med and they told me that they might’ve put me on it the proceeded to put me on another med with the same side effect. There was a few nice staff but pretty much the entire staff and treatment team didn’t seem to care.On top of all that, I have severe sensory issues, meaning there’s a lot of food I can’t eat and they didn’t seem to care all that much, I also have two eating disorders and they pretty much gave me the equivalent of a middle finger and dismissed me.
Ryan Tobin: they discharged me without meds and i was def not in my right mind when they let me out , the doctors never even really spoke to me besides to ask if i was suicidal or homicidal , i crashed my car and almost drove it into a swamp less than 24 hours after leaving ! i then went into another hospital where i was actually treated and was given medication when i was discharged , Bournewood almost killed me by releasing me when they did !!
John: If you value your friends and family take them elsewhere, abusive staff, gaslighting, and hippa violations everywhere. Not sure how to go about reporting them but this place needs to be closed
S4V4GE 01: Shout out to those who try their best staffed here. Shout out to Justin. ( it's Jenny - manager of the band The Nervous Habits. We sang Bourewood Blues ) and please if you don't give this job you're all - consider another. Thank you. And goodnight.
AMANDA LYTLE: I got to say the worse place I have ever worked. I got assaulted by patients multiple times; even had to get staples. Then a week later I was FIRED for not deescalating the patient coming at me while I was on checks. Go to McLean. Way better job, better staff, better care, clean facility and better units.
R C: Good because of other patients are chill. Terrible because of how we’re treated by staff. Months later i still look back and think of how the NP disregarded my feelings. I was excited to have gone twice until i realized psych hospitals don't care about you. 1st visit I was Diagnosed with BPD but yet they couldn't explain it and said i just do things for attention. 2nd time I was discharged suddenly and they kept half my clothes basically shoved me in the van and said bye bye. Oh and pink chicken for lunch.
Blue Fish: The staff were very accommodating and helpful. They stuff 18 people into cramped rooms. Sometimes 4 people to a room with no place to put your belongings. There are only two bathrooms for the eighteen people too. The place needs a real overhaul update. Very dirty most of the time. The best part was that they order out all meals. The food was really good.Just make sure you leave with the right prescriptions. They gave me the wrong prescriptions the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend. They said I refused smoking sessation groups when they did not offer them and I do not smoke. So they gave me Nicorete gum and not the antidepressant they started me on. I called three times that afternoon to see if they could call in the prescription to my pharmacy as it was a long weekend with the incorrect medication. The doctor called late that afternoon and pawned off the error on my PCP. It was too late in the day, and it was Dr. Spero’s error. If the staff has not been so great I would not have given three stars. Leaving with the wrong medication can undue a positive medication change. So, don’t feel rushed and check your prescriptions carefully to be sure that they are yours!
Tori Anderson: I don't know where all these low reviews are coming from. It has been two years since my visit here. I was in because I was going through deep depression, feeling suicidal, manic episodes and needed to get on meds and seek help. I had been to a hospital that was a really bad experience (shots, padded room, restraining and worse) This place completely changed my life. I have been to 3 other mental hospitals and this one is the best one I have been too. The other hospitalizations were when I was a minor and I came here as an adult. I was on the Kahn unit and everyone was great. I got through years of childhood trauma in just one group. I was in patient for about two weeks. They got me on the meds I needed, got me a counselor and support for when I got out. I am still going to therapy and my life has made a 360. I am so greatful for the experience I had because I wouldn't be the person I am today without them and the help they provided. This place made me able to live a normal life and gave me the ability to maintain everything around me and changed my outlook. If you need help, please find the strength in you to finally seek it out. I wish I had gotten help sooner after this because they made it soooo easy for me and gave me everything I needed. Also the food wasn't bad and the atmosphere was not stressful. Idk why everyone said the groups sucked because I did one with healing the inner child, meditation, coping skills ECT. This is the place you want to go to if you actually care about saving yourself and you have to take it seriously. They can't help you if you don't want it.
Aaron Rice: Honestly go get clean here. Best food in the recovery scene. It's not close. The veggie burgers, OMG. It was also the last rehab I went to as a patient, but that's more on me.
Jessica Wallace: Worst hospital I’ve ever been to
Wolf Gaming: I just wanted to say that this place is amazing the staff went above and beyond to make me feel safe and they comforted me kinda like if they were my own family the other kids I met there really cared and listened/gave me feedback and honestly the whole experience was super nice I learned quite a bit being there
C C: Terrible mental hospital, some of the staff is great but half of them don’t care and actually do their best to make patients angry/uncomfortable. One of the workers here would start fights with patients over personal stuff like ideology, I even saw another worker take pictures of people on here, I don’t remember his name but he was a black man who constantly wore a sports cap and was more interested in watching sports in the rev room than helping patients, pretty sure this freak took a picture of me too while I was reading. This place is a dump that should be closed down.
Jimmy Ryan: I wouldn’t recommend this place very unorganized and do not take parents concerns into consideration if it’s not there way u don’t get anything out of them it’s a disgrace
Jessica Noemi Torres: For the 1st time my son is learning and hopefully rebooting his life perspective.

McLean Hospital: what do users think?
Théo LS.: Great place all around! Everybody I met was super friendly and helping.
Sophie B.: Shame on you for your disgusting behavior towards DID Systems.
invikta: Absolutely disgusting that a hospital staffed by "medical professionals" would endorse the humiliation of a formally diagnosed DID system to try to spread malicious, ignorant misinformation about how the disorder presents and manifests, all without ever obtaining that system's consent for their face or content to be used in this manner. McLean Hospital should be absolutely ashamed. You're lucky that the victim of Dr. Robinson's careless and ignorant actions is not pursuing legal action.
Phoenix Oleander: Dr. Robinson accused multiple professionally diagnosed people with DID of faking their illness, took their videos without any prior contact or consent, and basically humiliated them for his own gain. If I had been one of them I’d likely had tried to harm myself because of it. Horribly unprofessional. All the one star reviews are more than deserved. Stay mad, ableists.
Leiah D.: Unethical use of their credentials. Misinformation and biases through their educational videos. Horrible institution
kara tiller: Dr. Robinson will get videos without your permission and parade you around as if you’re a hypochondriac. He’s proud of this and the hospital backs him up. Do not go here just to be re-traumatized. Seek real professional help elsewhere.
Katherine Mogg: The video featuring Grand Rounds with Dr Matthew Robinson on February 23, 2023 and posted to the Hospital's YouTube Channel 3 days ago is blatantly unethical. It features social media content of individuals discussing their experience of mental health diagnosis and treatment. Dr Robinson (without evidence and without having contacted any of these people) then goes on to allege that they are "self-diagnosed". He then further alleges that this trend in "self-diagnosis" is somehow contagious and has led to a rash of new inquiries at his practice. At least one of these individuals is public about their formal diagnosis and subsequent treatment. McLean Hospital should remove this video immediately. Dr Robinson should issue a public apology to each of the individuals featured in the video and give serious consideration before he speaks in public again.
Madeleine Williams: Mental health patients’ (such as me) experiences here include invalidation and an expectation to stay unhealed. Shouldn’t we be allowed, and even encouraged, to be happy and healthy? “Dr.” Matthew Robinson is especially problematic in his inaccurate research. He has tried to diagnosis strangers over the internet while claiming that that’s not what he’s doing. He is opening the door to even more invalidation for people with severe mental illness who are just looking for help.
Jordon Nolin: Wow this place should totally be disgusted with it self. They have people who drink and drug on the job real nice and this is a 110 percent fact! How can you get help when you have NURSES DRINKING ON THE JOB!!! Because they are understaffed ??What a shame!! Do better!!
Julia Sart: My experience was at the expensive Pavilion and I can’t say how unhappy I was with the experience. Nurses and support staff were lovely but the program promised way too much and didn’t deliver. Just tried to have me continue expensive care with their team and when I wanted other options was not provided any. Was promised family therapy and was not given any. Really all I can say was it was a total waste of money and time.
Kathy Alexander: I found it to be odd that they wouldn't tell me if there were any available beds. I was calling on behalf of my daughter who wasn't in a position to make phone calls herself and was not providing any personal information or asking for any personal information. They seem to really discourage patients advocating for themselves instead of relying on an overworked and overwhelmed emergency room staff. I was told that we HAD to work with the ED staff but when I called other facilities they were ok with saying yes they did have beds or no they didn't at the moment.
J D: Don't come here unless you want to be section 12'd after you come on your own free will. This is a 1950's era phych unit with ECT. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS.
J4Jabbar: I am surfing from death anxiety since 4years, I want proper treatment face to face please tell me if it is possible I am from Pakistan I want to spend may all Eraning on it but please I want proper treatment.
A.J. Sound: Great place for treatment. Terrible place to work—if you don’t have at least an MSW after your last name.
John Crichton: I did an outpatient anxiety group here because I was told it would be helpful for my social anxiety and my inability to connect with people and work. None of the people in my group had a similar problem, and I could not relate to anyone except one person out of the 15-20 or so people in the group. I also did a smaller group, and this woman had so much anxiety she had to have a ball in her hand to squeeze in order to control it. One person could barely speak. Another was elderly and not easy to fully relate to. Most of the people in the group had anxiety but a boatload of other mental health problems. Some were extremely paranoid, some had ticks, some were pulling out their hair... .just totally unrelatable people to a person with severe social anxiety. It really made me feel like I wasn't supposed to be there, yet they insisted this was the correct group for people like me and convinced my parents as much. They didn't seem to really care about my opinion on how things were going. The social worker I had in between the groups was not equipped to deal with male problems and she did not know a lot about people with my mental health problems. Telling me I should go into the store and strike up conversations with people about mundane things that would surely get me shut down and feel worse if the interactions did not go as planned. It was a bizarre experience, and seeing all the other negative reviews, felt I should voice my own.
Ashley Amaya: If I could give 0 stars I would. I ended up taking care of a patient more than the nurses. I checked in for myself but they didn’t mind me taking care of one of their more difficult patients, and let my mental sanity go out the window. I feel more suicidal than I did when I checked in.
Karen Ulrich: Considering McLean for "therapeutic help?" Find and read: Myth Busting: Spreading the Truth About ECT. Facts help break down stigma against this important depression treatmentMcLean is a sad sell out to psychopaths in psychiatry claiming ETC is safe, does not cause brain damage or memory loss. They are also pro ECT done involuntarily by court order. The reason ECT is being pushed is that it does cause long term effects, the biggest is dehumanization and never recover from trauma that sinks deep into the soul of loss of ones humanness and dignity. Once ECT damage is done and one seeks government assistance they will find none exists. The goal is to destroy the less thans ordained in WWII by government/psychiatry which are one and the same.
Alex: I had an amazing experience. McLean Hospital (I was at the Pavilion Program) is really on top of their game. There is always someone there to help you out! The staff are so friendly and great! Major shout out to Meg, Anne-Marie, and all of the nurses. The psychiatrists and therapists are so insightful and really helped me develop a better understanding of my problems. I know this is kind of weird to say but I miss everybody who works there and am so happy that I went!
Berberes-YT: Bad 👎
darrell phillips: They only admit Massachusetts residents for inpatient treatment.
John Micolta: Lol so I was a patient in the AB1 north unit from like June 2021-August (on and off) and I must say, I loved everything moment of it. If any of the staff so happens to remember me, I miss y’all very much 🤘🏼💪🏼. I’m doing good now

Inpatient Pediatric Psychiatry Service: what do users think?
Zianna weeks: This place is horrendous. They will never hesitate to lock you to the quiet room (an empty padded room that usually had blood on the walls)and restrain you, and if the quiet rooms full they will lock you in the "sensory room" (it was just anther empty room). Most kids had an insane amount of bruises from security guards. We always had at least 12 security guards one the unit when someone was crisising. (The most we counted was 26) And don't get me started onthe staff member Larry!!! He said saying the world queer was forcing our political agenda on him so we all talked to HR and as a result they banned anything pride related Even though pretty much everyone was queer. It needs to be shut down!!!
Liv Overton: It was really good experience for me, it really helped me a lot
armin arlert: okay to be fair it traumatized the hell out of me but that wasn’t really the hospital’s fault. at best it’s a last resort, a physically safe space but certainly not mentally. a lot of traumatic things happened there and the staff did everything they could to shield us from it but we still hear other patients getting restrained and tubed and stuff (which they only do if they absolutely have to). when it comes to the staff really only one was plain mean, and others were just cold and uncaring. I mean I can’t blame them but there were a good handful of really nice staff out there. if you think you might be going there, Jason, Charlotte, Kirsten, and Josh are really nice people that actually care about patients. I still have nightmares about it a year later, but I mean almost every single psych hospital is bound to be no matter what. so I give this an “eh” out of ten.
nyctori: left me with PTSD, which got worse the next two times i was sent there (with no other options of course!!). also kind of awkward how medical patients are allowed to see their siblings, but psych patients aren't. according to a staff i talked to, that's because parents pay insurance. so naturally, they allow a kid's parents to see them, even if the staff are aware of said parents' abuse. it seems as long as they're the ones paying, the child's mental well-being doesn't matter.there were plenty of great staff, and horrible staff to balance. as in they'd break the ward's own rules, not to mention plenty of other mentally scarring fun times!! i could go on, but i am far to mentally tired!!BUT UH YEAH if you're a kid who may be sent here, if there are any even slightly better options, please do your best to go wherever that may be instead!(oh and, they enabled homophobia + transphobia, which was especially awkward considering most of us there were queer.)TAKE THIS AS A WARNING, FELLOW TEENS™, cause the hospital sure doesn't listen.
Denise Wagstaff: Thank you for all that you did for our daughter during the 3 weeks she was a patient! The staff was kind, caring and communicated well with us.
Margaret K: The care that was forced on Justina Pelletier against her will was so bad that the hospital's own psychiartic nurse reported the hospital to the state for child abuse. Justina was physically and emotionally tortured, dragged by the arms until her toes were torn up, abandoned for hours in her wheelchair and had her presents from family and friends hidden from her by staff and not given to her. She was not allowed to speak openly to her family and was only able to smuggle out notes about what was happening to her. It's a horror show! They should lose their facility license.
Tyler Scout: absolute sh-t. The place made me feel worse than when i first went. The patients are treated like inmates and are isolated from everything. not the best place to bring a child.
Megan Balcher: Best treatment I've gotten. They were friendly and helpful and patient and fun. It was wonderful.
