Geoffrey Ricks: Great to deal with. They always find me an appointment around my schedule and everyone there has been great to deal with. They get me in and out quick, and when I ask for a copy of my imaging, they always produce it quickly. When I have had to have it sent to me, they have sent it out quickly and have sent it faster than it had to be done. Two Thumbs Up.

If you need the result before it is available you will need to contact the ordering provider."- that is unacceptable. If I have an MRI, x-ray or some other medical imaging, I want to have the results as soon as they are ready. I don't want to have to wait one week or have to ask my ordering provider.

Jamarah Peterson: Wednesday Oct 21, 2020...Went to bring my Grandmother to her MRI Appt. & people are a trip!You have to wait in the hallway (mind you my Grandmother can barely stand, which they can see). Then the lady (don't desk) comes out asking why we didn't text, we see you have a cell number on file. Well if the Admin listened & took the info correctly they would know that was the home number. Like what's the rudeness about? I was told only one person can come in but 2 people were in the office when we arrived, and they were together! As I'm in the hall making sure she will get seen, after 15 min this lady (from desk) decides to tell my grandmother her appt isn't until 4:20pm after I don't know how many poeple have called to confirm. Not to mention me standing on the hall making sure she was good was a problem too. The lady (front desk) says we don't want too many people in the office can you tell her to wait outside? Like what? The hall isn't the office, especially when you have to ring the bell to get in. I can ALWAYS desk with those types of people, but when my family is involved, I gotta let the world know! Would never come here for myself or refer anyone!PS.. Amazon came to do a delivery; he got in with NO TEMP BEING CHECK! Still think I'm bugging?

M M: VERY UNPROFESSIONAL STUFF and AWFUL DEPARTMENT!They performed Ultrasound and could not finish it because the pain they caused me during the procedure was literally unbearable (this is how they do their regular Ultrasound!). And actually, I don't know what they did, but that procedure (which they did NOT finish!) LEAD TO ANOTHER PROBLEM in that area which clearly was caused by them and I now have to see another doctor to take care of it. After that horrible experience, I scheduled the same Ultrasound in another location, and over there they they performed it without any pain or problem.Another unbelievable thing is that later I received a bill from them (Boston location) DESPITE THE FACT THAT THEY DID NOT FINISH THE PROCEDURE and THERE was NO RESULT TO REPORT! SUCH A SHAME to the staff and their billing department!Not ONLY there were NO results and without any hesitation they charged me for that, BUT ALSO NOW I HAVE ANOTHER HEALTH PROBLEM AFTER VISITING THEM! SHAME ON YOU!P.s.You can see that in another review someone ALSO MENTIONED "incredible pain during the procedure"...Such a LOW QUALITY PLACE!
Lee: Dept of radiology Needham CT tech. This dept is VERY BAD. Find another place to do your CT scans. No respect, poor treatment of patients but if you want to be tortured when they put the IV in this is the place to go. During a recent MRI I had an allergic reaction to the dye, which was not there faultI get it but what happened afterwards was so disgusting and I will tell you about it. Everytime I get my CT scan, I always ask that I not have a certain tech and usually the person I ask obliges me. Not this time. I was reported and after the ordeal I went through and stating I just wanted to go home, rest and eat, there were CT scan people waiting in the hallway to speak to me because they didn't like me talking to other techs and asking if I don't have this particular Ct scan techI was told several times to mention this to the MRI DEPT. THE PEEOPLE in the hallway waiting to talk didn't even ask me how I was and also I am a diabetic and needed to eat something and restBUT THAT DIDN'T STOP THEM. I HAD TO RUDELY WALK OUT ON THEIR LITTLE PLANNED HALLWAY meetingIF YOU CAN AVOID HAVING A CT SCAN DO SO!!!@

Maryann Amara: If there was a zero, I would give the Radiology Dept at Beth Israel Deaconess that. My daughter was in for a myelogram. Her care before, during and after the procedure was negligent. She was in incredible pain during the procedure, to the point her gown and body was covered with sweat. Her gown was never changed even when she asked about it. The nurse assisting the doctor told her it was a simple procedure and she would be able to exercise later that day after she got home. Wrong information. The procedure was the most painful she ever experienced and she is supposed to lay flat for at least 8 hours to prevent a spinal headache. Once in recovery, she was never checked by a nurse for over an hour. Everyone was at lunch so no one took responsibility to find coverage for her while they ate lunch. Her blood pressure was never taken, no water was offered to her, she was never checked. She was never offered at least minimal sedation or anything for pain. She was so angry for the misleading information, compassion and care, that she insisted on leaving as soon as she could. This was the worst ordeal she has ever had and I would suggest you find another place to get this procedure done. This is an amateur operation. Go somewhere else.

Maddy Petrini: Fantastic service. Incredibly convenient. The radiologist spoke to me about my scan immediately after and made me feel so comfortable. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. And, by the way, my insurance told me they are the lowest cost in Boston. This place is the way I wish all healthcare could be!
Chris E: I had a perfectly pleasant experience and I don't think this MRI center deserves the low reviews.The staff was pleasant and the MRI technician made jokes, played nice music, and made sure I was comfortable.Scheduling was easy, and they were understanding when I had to reschedule 3 times due to my insurance denying coverage at first. Always quick to get me in for an appointment in less than a week.Highly suggest going in for an appointment as early as possible to get one of the first time slots of the day. Any MRI place can get backed up later in the day if people can't sit still and have to redo scans. Not the business's fault.In regard to up front payment, they're transparent from the get-go about asking for this, and if it's a problem for you, there are other MRI centers. Seriously. There's nothing shady when they tell you from day 1 they're going to ask for payment.They've got the best rates of any MRI center in town, and to keep it low, they have to make sure they get paid. Plus, they're happy to set up a payment plan to pay over time.
Morgan Sydlowski: Making sure I write this review because people hardly report on good news. I went to Longwood MRI today to have a MR Arthrogram (fluid injected into joint + MRI) and the employees I encountered were wonderful.I don’t remember all their names but one lady had been there for 15 years, sat me down and walked me through the process I was about to go through. Throughout the process she vocalized what the next step would be, how long it would take, pain level, and recognized when I was fearful and distracted me with thoughtful questions. Medical procedures can be terrifying, and I really appreciate when those in charge communicate all the steps before and as they are doing them. So thank you to that kind woman!I then had the MRI and the man conducting this was also very thoughtful knowing it was my first time. Throughout it he kept giving me words of encouragement through my headphones (keep up the good work!).Thank you Longwood MRI!!
Josh Solomon-Culp: The actual MRI procedure went very smoothly and was cheaper than a lot of competing places. Main issue I had was that I paid up front for the service, my insurance was billed and it took about two months to get a refund on my initial payment.

Sam Davis: I left this office after 1.5 hours there, and no imaging was done..I was sent there by a physician for an ordered MRI. At first, they pushed me to pay in full in cash ($640). I do have insurance and have never had to do that. I pushed back, and they finally called my insurance company. The receptionist felt that they need to change my diagnosis to get it authorized (is that legal?). To do so, I would need an X Ray as well. Well, this imaging facility had no idea when their X Ray Technician was coming in. So, they couldn't do the X Ray (they are an imaging specialist...hmmmm). They told me that they might be able to do the MRI if I got the X Ray somewhere else. I called my referring Doctor to see if they could get me an X Ray. They could, but then the receptionist left for a Vape break. When she came back, she said that it would be another 40 minutes at least - which would mean that I would miss my new, other X Ray appointment.Overall, it was a shady (who changes diagnoses?) and disastrous experience. I would highly recommend to avoid this place.

I currently had two MRIs and x-rays and they took the time to speak with the insurance companies about my case. They are friendly, classy and kind. I also had a great experience with two different technicians who did my MRI. Both very professional. Best place to get an MRI.

Darshak Sanghavi: Quick access and scheduling, good quality scan, transparent and reasonable pricing (I’m in a high-deductible health plan)—had my scan in April 2019. Completed scan within 45 minutes of my appointment start and gave me a copy of CD with images at discharge—and formal radiology reading to me within 24 hours. I would recommend for routine scanning. Two caveats: the quoted price, though low, was higher than the negotiated rate from my insurer so I had to call for the difference to be refunded. (Longwood MRI should have flagged this and not waited for me to call them.) Also the receptionist that day could be more professional.

Sofia Mendez: I would give 0 stars if I could. Do not go here. They are very disrespectful and rude. They do not trust their patients to pay so they charge you unreasonable amounts and ask you to pay up front. They will will try and refuse you service if you do not pay which is not allowed. They claim they will refund you if all the money was not needed. Your insurance company will tell you that you do not have to pay all of the money up front because it is not required. Several people have had very long fights with them and insurance companies as well. When asked if they would refuse service if the amount was not paid, they, eventually, said no and you could pay a cheaper amount. This was only mentioned after hours of arguing and disrespect. They will not mention that it is not required for you to pay the full amount up front. They will try and tell you that you have to pay and only mention you have to pay a smaller amount after long arguments. I ended up getting a parking ticket as well due to the hours of arguing between the doctors office, insurance companies, and front desk. They were very rude and the receptionists would talk about me and others who did not see this as fair while we were standing right there. They would find it amazing that we thought this was unethical. I ended up leaving after horrible service. It was a complete waste of time. They will try to scam you. Do not go here.
Cheyenne “Chey1729” Radaslic: TERRIBLE receptionist. Very ignorant and rude. Answers the phone without even letting the patient speak and says “Nope” “Nope” over patient while they are trying to speak. Hangs up on patient. Told to view website for information instead.
Zoe Pfeiffer: Went to have an mri with contrast done. The women at the reception desk rolled her eyes at me several times and had an attitude during the entire interaction. When it was time for me to pay my card was declined the first two times because I dont usually with draw that much money from my account at the time. I asked her to run it again that I was speaking with the bank at the moment and it would go through and she just stood there and looked at me. She finally did it after I asked several more times and it went through like I had said. After this I’m told I’m not allowed to have a family member back with me for the injection but I could for the mri which is strange because in the past it was the opposite with all of my other mris that only family could be in for the injection and could not go into the actuall procedure. On top of this when it was time for me to get the injection the machine to look inside of my body to make sure the injection is done properly isn’t working and for half an hour the staff left it sitting over my torso so I could not stand or sit while they turned it on and off again for the duration of the period. At this point I was already frustrated from my first interaction with the receptionist and I was in a great deal of pain from my injury and had missed class time at my college for being there. Now they start making jokes about how great it is I got out of that procedure that day which were not appreaciated because I’m still waiting for this procedure to be done.
Cog nomen: I've had to have imaging done frequently over the pasy several years and more often than not, have come here. The staff are patient, kind, and incredibly accommodating. Everyone at Longwood MRI clearly does their best to make the process(es) as painless as possible, and multiple specialists reviewing the reports given to me have commented on how thorough they are.

Robert Zamenhof: My wife has been scanned about 10 times at Longwood MRI over the past 5 years, and with one exception our experiences there have been outstanding. The owners of this facility are two doctors, Dr. Richard Schwartz, who reads the studies, and his wife Dr. Jasmin Schwartz, an anesthesiologist who runs the office. Jasmin and her staff are very friendly and polite, and Richard is approachable, considerate, and helpful. Patients are always given a CD of their studies before they leave. Altogether a well-run business which has an excellent reputation in the Boston area.
Josh Trubow: Edit: I have since removed a second star because they also over billed me and I doubt I would have received a refund had I not been so vigilant and called them once I realized their error.Longwood MRI is an independent MRI location and doesn't have multiple offices like Shields or some of the other franchise type locations. This means the rates for their testing are much more competitive than going to Shields or the hospitals. They have pictures of many pro athletes on the walls who have (presumably) had scans done there, and they take more images than their competitors (this is a good thing). They were able to get me an appointment same day when I called. The office provides a CD with your images on it when you finish the scan, and you can bring it with you to your doctor's when you have the follow-up (they charge for extra copies so don't lose it). I took off a star because they were about 40 minutes behind schedule, and the girl working at the desk was on her personal phone the entire time I was waiting (both before the scan and after when waiting for the CD). Although she was fine when I was speaking 1 on 1, she was loud and somewhat obnoxious to listen to in the waiting area.

Thomas Rowley: When billing insurance companies for MRIs done here since 2021, this office engages in exorbitant UNBUNDLING & UPCODING charges assessed separately to the bill for both the "Professional" & "Technical" portions of the MRI when by law, it it supposed to be one combined, much lower total fee.-I had 2 MRIs done here in Sept/2021 for acute orthopedic injuries & I obtained a copy of their billing invoice.-(I've came here for various orthopedic MRIs since 2012/most recently being in 9/2019 and on the above 9/2021 date and have had approximately 15 MRIs total done here for various reasons in that timeframe but will not be returning again).-On their billing invoice billed to my insurance, they billed approximately $2000 dollars for the "Professional Fee" (which is the 5-6 or so scans performed by the machine & the tech) & billed appx $500 dollars "for the Technical Fee" (which is the radiology interpretation written report) for each MRI I got totaling appx $2500 dollars for each MRI with the final bill totaling approximately $5000 dollars.*If billed the proper rate, the 2 MRIs would have cost $703 dollars & $704 dollars for the total cost of each MRI for the out- of- pocket rate which would have totaled $1407 dollars.-It would have been even lower if billed the medical insurance's 'contracted rate'.-They also intentionally withhold vital information and delay releasing the exam results essential for the patient to be able to seek appropriate treatment with a specialist in a timely manner and significantly delaying this process for the patient being able to seek and obtain treatment.-The office staff is also unable to follow simple directions and requests for additional clarification on Radiology reports were rebuffed & ignored and I had to make repeated attempts to have them add more specific information to the reports.-Since it became Rayus from CDI, the radiologist's (They use New England Baptist Hospital's radiologists as their contracted radiologists) diagnostic/written interpretation reports have become vague and subpar. [I've seen this in other reviews as well].-I've been coming here for years and the above has been an issue in the past but has gotten worse since changing to Rayus.-When coming in for the MRI appointments, the office staff gives you mountains of paperwork to fill out and is unable to follow simple directions & are rude and adversarial,, whether it be having the radiologist address described symptoms listed on the paperwork/diagram to pinpoint injury/pain areas on body part being scanned for the radiologist to take specific note of,,& also in general when making repeated requests for exam results, and also when I complained about the above billing system and denied any wrongdoing. They also don't return Portal messages or return phone calls.A complaint was filed with the MA Attorney General's Office Medical & Insurance Fraud Division for the pattern & practice of the company 'Upcoding' & 'Unbundling' charges for MRI billings and is currently being investigated.-Also, being an OPEN MRI machine, light is able to filter in under the scanning machine which is several inches above your body and open from all sides. As a result, the quality of the film scans such as the finer details, contrast, & resolution are not as detailed in quality as it would be if done in a CLOSED MRI machine which is the tube version they have in hospitals.

Last MRI on my brain was far less detailed than all the previous ones.Had a MRI on my kidney this last spring and therefore stated my gallbladder and spleen was unremarkable.I had my gallbladder out in 2016 and have an angiliopoma of the spleen.Their system was horrible to navigate to get a report on line. Will not return.
christine slade: Had my first MRI and will be going back for a few more that I need to get done per my physicians recommendations. This facility is open 7 days a week so it was easy to get this scheduled right away. The MRI technician/operator was very nice and made me feel comfortable during the process. Everyone is extremely friendly in this facility. Great location, easy parking. They are upfront about their prices when booking and their prices are extremely cost effective. All in all A+ and would recommend to anyone needing to have an MRI done. So glad I found CDI of Dedham.

Anton Fisher: 9/13/19 Receptionist was very rude when I simply asked where I would find the Walk in clinic. She started smirking, insinuating that I was along the lines of being obtuse asking If I was looking for urgent care? I explained I believe thats what Im looking for and continued with her smirk stating I could find it across the street.If I walk into the office that clearly states “Imaging/ CT” it’s obvious I know Im in the wrong place. I could not believe how rude she was making me feel humiliated asking for help

Hannah Yifru: Fantastic staff, I’m incredibly anxious and claustrophobic and Harry and Christina were very patient and kind with me. They made me feel so comfortable and communicated with me throughout the exam. What a great experience.
Austin Sprague: Canceled my appointment the day before, after waiting 3 weeks, because they suddenly realized they can’t do that type of MRI. Now waiting an additional 3 weeks for another site. Just save yourself the headache and use any other provider
Chris Scott: Very quick with extremely kind staff. They arranged transportation for me there and back. The receptionist came out to help me with the front door when I was entering/exiting the building and then helped me get into the car home.

Jack was very kind and made an otherwise scary and unknown experience as pleasant and human as possible. The other radiologist was also kind and was very quick in getting the IV in.The scan itself was fine, there really aren’t many ways to make an MRI more pleasant. The radiologists were clearly communicating what was happening, which took away some of the anxiety.I can’t exactly say I plan on coming back here, but if for some reason I need another MRI, I will be returning here.
Rocio Saavedra: I was hesitant to go here based on the unfair reviews given. My appointment was today and I had a really good experience. Front desk person was knowledgeable and informative. The waiting area pristine. My technician Anna super talented and guided me through the procedure, the other technician working with her, Harry was kind and explain every step of the MRI itself.My MRI results were deliver to me earlier than expected, easy to access and conveniently online. Yes, it can be frustrating calling Shields over the phone but so what! grab a coffee and a couple of seats and relax, they will get to you eventually. I wanted to take the time to write a fair review based on my experience today. I would highly recommend Shields.

Isabel Burlingame: If you have veins that are even a tiny bit difficult to get an IV in and you need an MRI with contrast, do not go here!! After four attempts to get my IV in, the MRI tech gave up and sent me away without a scan. Apparently they don’t have anyone else qualified who could have tried to get it in. You are much better off in a hospital setting where they have many nurses who are well trained at IV.

Super considerate of patient needs and concerns about a MRI. Only reason I give it 4 stars is their intake coordination over the phone is a mess. Person was completely incompetent at intake - had to repeat multiple times and then stated to come way earlier than what technician was informed(30-40 minutes), stated that MRI was 2x longer, and didn't intake the right phone number nor sent any confirmation text, emails, or calls.Edit: Site is a complete mess. Requested account to receive medical records 5 days ago and never got an email. Medical Records hung up twice to try to speak to someone about getting access to their portal

No claustrophobia at all!unfortunately, when I was there for my appointment I asked for a CD of images and they said that by policy they only send them to the doctor. My doctor told me that actually they're supposed to give everyone one free CD of the results as required.However when I called them later to complain they said "oh, we don't actually give you a CD of your results unless it's specifically requested by the doctor or unless the patient mentions it before the scan is done. Since you asked after the scan, you have to come in and wait at least 15 minutes during business hours." I asked if I could request it and come in later to get it but "no, you have to come in during business hours and wait".However, the techs were friendly and so was the receptionist, they scan was easy, all was well except for the fact that they wouldn't give me the copy of my images I was supposed to get.I finally had time to go back a couple of months later and get my images and though they said they had just changed their hours and we're now closed at 6:30 instead of 9 on a Monday they stayed open for ten minutes for me, and the manager got my CD for me even though their Tech had gone home for the day. Thanks to Melissa the tech side and Kristen the manager for being so helpful!
Connie Miller: I have had two MRIs here and both were as pleasant an experience as one could hope for. Staff was very kind and helpful, and resulting MRIs were executed properly and delivered to my respective Drs.
teamdiggins: My 19 year old son's MRI was incomplete and of poor quality. Report did not answer the referring physician's question. Have called and written them. Twice, I have spoken to their representatives who have said they would look into, they would place a hold on the bill and get back to me. I haven't heard back. They have not offered to redo the scan and sent the bill to collections.

If you get bad images of your scan, they don't tell until a doctor analyzes and tells you that it's all blur and obviously the report becomes inconclusive.Total rip off! Go through your insurance to a reputed hospital and get professional scan by professional doctors.
