nicole bellinger: I’ve only ever left positive reviews on Google until now, and I honestly wish I could give it 0 stars. This experience was hands down the worst customer service I’ve ever had in my entire life. It was like pulling teeth to get something as simple as a napkin (which we had to ask for twice). We never even got silverware! After being done with our food and drinks for I would say 45 minutes, nobody had come to check on us to get the bill, so we once again had to flag someone down. We had to flag someone down for everything from ordering drinks, to ordering food, to asking for silverware (which we never got), to even when we needed napkins - and like I said, we had to ask for those twice. I’m not sure I’ll ever eat here again - it was that bad, and I’m really not a petty person. Last thing I’ll say is our group of 4 was by no means being rude, rowdy, off putting, or anything like that. If anything, we were being super nice to try and defuse the tension that was being exhibited by the servers. This experience was akin to doing the splits on a crate of dynamite - simply atrocious.

The cocktails had to be the highlight for me… best espresso martini I’ve had in a long time, and the painkillers were AWESOME!We had the tuna tartare, which was yummy (big portion size!). Hannah Lawrence: We went for high tea. It was nice enough, but vastly overpriced -- $75 per person before tax/tip for mostly average pastries/snacks (with a few standouts), and not very much substantive food. The service seems to have declined slightly, too -- we had to ask how long to steep the different tea types for, for example. Overall, it's a pleasant experience, but in no way worth that price (which is a $20 increase from one year ago). I would not recommend it for this reason.
David Merna: Everything was perfect. Appetizers were incredible, main course was a work of artistic skill. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Very friendly staff. Beautiful setting and spotlessly clean. Going back again soon. Cost well worth the visit. Step outside onto the waterfront, we had such a nice evening. A heartfelt Thank You to the entire staff.

Anthony R: Have dined at the Sea Grille on two occasions. Once for breakfast and once for lunch, both times were outstanding experiences. The restaurant is located within the Boston Harbor Hotel and has a beautiful setting inside and outdoors. This is a great spot for a special occasion meal or to entertain clients. The food and service is fabulous, highly recommend the Sea Grille!

Derek Cheung: Walked in and the two young female hosts were not as friendly as one would like. Asked for a table for one but was denied saying they don't have any available but I can go seat myself at the bar, walk in and see at least 6 small tables available not to mention a few other tables for larger groups.Noticed they had a patio and lots of free tables, walked back out and asked if I could sit outside, the host said yes, I said great, and she just went back to doing whatever she's doing... I had to ask her if I could just go myself or she needed to take me.While she walked me to my table, I asked if I needed to go back in for service or if their waitstaff would come out which she said the latter. I am now seated and 15 mins gone by without a single waitstaff came out to me. 2 other waitstaffs came out at least 3 times for the other tables. Feeling a little upset I walked to the same host and asked if I can get some service out there, she said she'll get someone immediately and I walked back to my table. 5 mins passed by and still no one... I walked back in and the other waiter was right at the door and I asked to speak with a manager, he was nice enough to ask other waitstaffs to attend to me vs the original waitstaffs that never appeared. When I went back to my seat, the manager came out with another waiter who was friendly and knowledgeable, ordered my food and went on with my day... Will not come back due to poor service...

Gary Bianchi: Very disappointing meals. I had the haddock which is. LSF staple but it was dry and without flavor and my wife had the lobster ravioli which came with a fra diavlo red sauce that was overpowering for the lobster and a half lobster tail in the shell but no way to get the meat out without wearing the sauce on her sweater. I will say our cups of chowder and the cheesecake for dessert were excellent. We each had 2 drinks, no apps and shared dessert and the entree’s noted and the bill came to $177. Overpriced for a disappointing experience. We won’t be back.

I had the wagyu meatballs which were good but could have been any moist meatballs. My $65 ribeye was well seasoned but over cooked. I wasn't the only one in the party who got an overcooked steak, which is a steakhouse sin. The wait staff did their job adequately but they were not overly friendly.Tl;dr you're going to get good food but it's probably not worth the price.
Diana Maksymiuk: This place was beyond our expectations.We had group of 11 and our server Melissa was the best server, we had 6 months old with us and Melissa held him while the mother ate her dinner. I have never had a server that cared so much for guest experience. We will be coming back to this place every time we’re in town.

FULYA OTEV: Surprisingly they were so rude! We asked for a table for 5 adults and 4 kids , hostess said we needed to wait for 25 min. I checked with my friends and went back in for confirmation and the same lady said she didn’t pay attention what I said and they were not available for next 3 hours. She didn’t care us and got rid of with all kids awaiting table as she confirmed. Very disappointed

Electra Jones: I've used this restaurant for 2 different special events. Both times have been disappointing and we won't be using them moving forward. The sales person that you deal with before hand acts as though your party is an inconvenience to his day and in neither case did he reach out after the event to ask how things went. The food is just ok. There are so many other high-quality seafood/steak house restaurants to choose from that can handle large parties, there is no reason to book here again. Also, the private rooms are up on the 3rd floor, stairs only, which became an issue with our most recent group where a person had a disability and had to struggle. Then the bathrooms are on first floor. So that's definitely a no-go reason for many large parties as well. 👎Wheelchair accessibility: This is not a wheel chair accessible restaurant. Because of the age of the building, there is no elevator and the restaurant is 3 stories.
Tom McSweeney: Nice restaurant in a historic building, on the Boston waterfront. Neat atmosphere, but every time anyone walked past my chair, the floor creaked and gave way a bit, and that got old. My wife had a shrimp-3-ways plate with grilled veggies. and I had prime rib with mashed potatoes. The shrimp was good, veggies just ok. My medium rare prime rib was dry - I had to poke holes in it with my fork, and pour the au-jus over it. The lava cake was served with ice cream, tasty. The service was just ok. I should have ordered seafood.

Grant Hanowell: Employees made it a bad experience. The hostess acted put out by our presence, didn’t greet us or say goodbye. Our server did not want to lift a finger and told us she was too busy to make their high end bar drinks. No smiling, almost throwing stuff at us with a sour attitude. As a customer, I found myself trying to compensate for her grouchiness the whole dinner. Overall, the kitchen made great food but the front of the house made us feel totally unwanted and unappreciated. We’ll spend our $75 per person elsewhere next time.

JustAnother Account: My family and I ate at the restaurant on 4/13. I must say the experience was less than expected. The wait staff was excellent and did their best to overcome the failure of others. The Food was good but the kitchen failed to get it all out together. The rest of us were done by the time my 14 year olds dinner came out. The biggest failing was the manager. First he tried to seat 5 of us for dinner at a 24” round table that’s on a 15 degree slope. I don’t think you can even get 5 plates on one of those tables. Next, he openly seen berating the staff. That’s just not professional. Third, he did take the late meal off of our bill but when he came over to inform us, he couldn’t even apologize for the error. It was obvious that it pained him to take it off the bill and tried making a joke about it that it wasn’t his fault. You are the manager! Everything is your fault! A simple “I’m sorry for the error, it has been removed from your bill.” would have been sufficient. Lastly, we got it that you just opened and it was early. However, there was no soda. You ran out of Sam Adams Summer ale initially. There were plenty of other items that weren’t available. IF YOU DON’T HAVE THE ITEMS TO OPEN —— YOU DON”T OPEN! Don’t be so greedy that you have squeeze in a few extra dollars. So I place the poor experience squarely on the shoulders of the manager.

Tony Huynh: Great food, and great view, and best of all no wait time. We tried the clam chowder, fried clams and lobster roll. The clam chowder is one of the best clam chowder I ever had. They give us a generous portion of clam chowder for around $8. The chowder was thick and creamy and full of clams. The dills also add a nice touch to the dish, it compliments the chowder without overpowering it. The fried clams were really good, the clams were tasty and juicy. However do be careful with the clams, we did get some clams that taste kinda odd, and 2 members from our group get stomach ache after, that might or might not be from eating these clams. The lobster roll is pretty good with a generous portion of fresh lobster meat. We paid around $70 for the three dishes. Overall it's worth it to come here for their clam chowder and the great view

Marie Kern: Amazing chowder!! If you get anything that is for sure what you should order. Unique dill flavor incorporated that made the chowder top notch in our book. Also ordered the lobster roll and that was very good. One thing to note is that it comes cold, although they were willing to make it hot for us which we took them up on that offer. Hot lobster roll was great and one of our favorites in Boston so far during our visit. Prices for chowder and fish was all very fair. Drinks are definitely on the more expensive side and there is currently construction going on with the front of the building so there was noise from that so request to be seated near the middle.

jennifer stelter: This spot is exceptionally beautiful, and the service is second to none. The food, delicious!!! I'm part of a very important healthcare entity and hosted an event here. The servers were so attentive along with all the staff. Sean the manager was so attentive to our group, I could ask him anything. I have to sing my praises to Armando the GM, Jose the head server, and to both Laura and Suzanne the event planners. My group stayed over by a 2 hour length of time, and the group was more than happy to keep us there. Thank you to the excellent staff.

What killed the mood was I didn't like their payment system, we were a group of 9, and I wasn't able to have my bill separate due to it being an old system. So 3 guest plus myself was billed to my card, another guest had 2 guest and himself billed to his card etc. Guest were paying card holders in cash or via a app method, (cashapp, Vem. Etc.)it was frustrating. Overall it was a decent experience, but wouldn't be my first choice if asked to go again.

Maria L: I got the blu tapas platter entre and the rack of lamb. The lamb in both dishes was very well seasoned and cooked very well. Everything paired well with the other. In the blue tapas platter the haddock was paired with a sweet glazed that was absolutely delicious. That only minus for me was the cream sauce it was a little to salty for my liking but over all the entire had me hooked.
