Beauge's Tailoring Alterations: what do users think?
Benjamin Chan: Beauge's is the best place for tailoring and alterations. Fixed the buttons on my chinos and dress pants when they were on its last hinges and stiched up the legs on my pants to good repair. He does great work! Love it as always!
Tory Brigham: Amazing work, super fast and efficient, easy process, well priced and high quality! Also very personable and enjoyable process!
c white: Best tailor in BostonService:Suit tailoring
A McDonald: Pleasant, good prices, great service
Yoshika Sangal: Prompt service and very welcoming!
Allen Feng: Never post these, but felt compelled. Tried to give him the benefit of the doubt so this is based off of 3 experiences of myself and my wife. First, my wife brought in a bride's maid dress to be tailored, (really just hemmed), guaranteed to be done in 2 weeks. Late by 2 weeks. Brought in a pair of pants myself to be hemmed. Supposed to be done in a week, waited 3 weeks for it to finish. Wife recently brought in 2 more pairs of pants to be hemmed. Again late - told to come back in 2 hours (clearly hemming it during that time). One pair comes out with different lengths (1 inch difference) . Says that it's because her legs are different lengths. Did not apologize for any incident.I don't know how he isn't more embarassed about his own lack tailoring skills, laziness, poor customer service, and overall lack of self-awareness or any professional standards.
Jessica Girouard: Had to rebuy a dress for a wedding I was in because the shop closed for 2 weeks without my prior knowledge. When I picked up my dress I was extremely upset and vocal about it, owner claimed had sign out at the time I dropped off dress which was 100 percent not true, nor was I told at the time of drop off that the business would be closed at that time. Instead of being apologetic he turned it on me claiming I did not read the sign (which again, was not posted at the time of my drop off). After looking at past reviews I see this same situation has happened to others.
Michelle Levine: Beauge’s is amazing. He is nice, patient, careful, and quick with turnaround. He always does a great job no matter what kind of clothes I bring in (jeans, slacks, wedding guest dresses)!
Fatimah Alshaikh: Did a perfect job altering my ceremony dress in a short notice. Thank you!
Blake Morell: Beauge is great to work withServices:General repairs,Alterations
Laser Partners: Service:General repairs
Charles Newton: I have lived in Boston for five years now and I can this is the best tailor around (price and quality are unbeatable). The people in there are so happy and this is one of my favorite businesses in the city (that is how likable they are).I have done shirts, pants, jeans, jackets (including a peacoat), t-shirts, and holes/tears in various items (t-shirts, athletic gear, etc.). Perfection every time.Services:General repairs,Alterations
Samuel Leroy-Melamed: Beauge is the man! I've been using him as a tailor for most of my adult life. The location is incredibly convenient. Beauge himself couldn't possibly be a nicer guy. Extra points for always having sports on the television while you're hanging out. Quick turnaround, and great hours (open until 3p on Saturdays).Service:Alterations
Eamon Kelly Graves: Fantastic work, but could be better with scheduling and details. Make sure you call before picking up.
Travis Carbonneau: Quick turnaround! Amazing staff!
Noah Fisher: They nailed it! I’ll be back when the need arises.Service:Alterations
Sayed Mousawi: Perfect fit suit #1 so far
AMH: Best wedding dress tailor in Boston! I was blown away at his skills. My dress had very intricate details and he did a wonderful job.
C B: Services:Alterations,DesignPositive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness
Brenda Kim: The only tailor in Boston I trust. A true hidden gem near Downtown Crossing. Always professional, kind and fair.
Kristi Hoagland: I’ve taken 2 bridesmaids dresses here and they have done a fantastic job both times! Highly recommend!

Best Fit Tailoring: what do users think?
Amber Woods: After coming to this business countless times, I figured it was time to write them a review. Best Fit Tailoring is one of the best places I've ever visited for clothing alterations. They are always willing to take on a challenge and do an excellent job every time. I've paid for a wide range of services, from tightening a turtle neck to taking-in dresses, and they have never failed me. I usually come in for walk-in appointments and have been able to get measured for alterations on the spot each time. Also, their turnaround time is quick (generally around five business days). I would highly recommend going to them for your clothing alteration needs. It's worth the price!Services:Alterations,Women's clothing alterations,Dress alterations
Michael DiBona Sr: No sign in front of building on Newbury Street. Go in side, press intercom #8Wait to be let in ,2 floor stairs.Never again, I just don't get it why put customers through this.
Jennifer Defreitas: Positive:Professionalism,ValueVery friendly and easy going people. I had very expensive clothing to get altered and they made it look better than the original company.Service:Alterations
Lauren McCarthy: A few weeks ago I was in town from the West Coast for a wedding. My bridesmaid dress was delivered only a few days before the wedding it was too long. Rose and her team were so lovely and understanding, and were able to do the hem from when I came in on Friday midday in time for me to pick it up at 10 AM on Saturday. I highly recommend Best Fit for their responsiveness, high quality and considerate tailors.Service:Alterations
Patrick DeFreitas: Services:Alterations,General repairs,DesignPositive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness
Lukas Baumilas: Positive:Quality,ResponsivenessGreat work, great people.Service:Alterations
Devin Cromartie Bodrick: She does an excellent job!
John Iledan: Sergio and Lyudmila provided excellent tailoring that exceeded my expectations. They were incredibly responsive and kind as well. When I picked up my suit pants they even offered to have me try them on again to see if I was satisfied with the tailoring. Excellent services and I cannot recommend them enough.
Azza Gadir: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueI'm so grateful for the team at Best Fit. I had 3 weeks to have my dress tailored prior to our wedding in July and they accommodated me last minute at a really busy time and the price was incredibly reasonable. They worked fast and did a really beautiful job on the dress, it fit perfectly.Service:Alterations
Shawn Abney: Came in to have a pair of pants tapered/hemmed. First of all it cost $185 which is pretty steep considering we’re talking pants here. I was SUPPOSED to pick the pants up a week later, however after coming in they hadn’t even worked on them and the lady said they could get them done same day (I already knew at this point this was going to be a total hatchet job) so I came back a few days later. The taper on both was basically non-existent, in fact I can’t tell if they even did anything to the pants at all. I’d give zero stars if I could, easily the worst job on an alteration I’ve ever had. Don’t go here periodService:Alterations
morgan kay: Paid $30 for them to take in my straps on a very expensive designer top that had beautiful craftsmanship but unfortunately were too loose. After seeing the reviews I thought that Best Fit could keep that same level of quality HOWEVER. The stitching looks like it was done by a beginner (even I could have done this level of quality with my beginner level sewing) and the thread was sticking up from every which way. Wouldn’t recommend going here as they completely messed up the quality of the straps and now the garment looks different to the eye
Angela DeFranco: Writing this after friends encouraged me to share my experience - I went to Best Fit to tailor a simple but pretty heirloom gown and needed to shift the hemline up and remove some of the aging lace. After paying around 350, I picked up the dress and was totally disappointed with the results. I am not sure why they decided to alter the hemline in such an unattractive way (it wasn’t what we’d discussed) but also there was open stitching all over the top. I will have to take the dress elsewhere now to re-hem it.Overall the experience was fine but it felt devoid of skill or care- like she was just kinda tired. So if you’re thinking of getting a special dress tailored I might go to someone who will work with you and ask questions, etc.
Lucas Gruner: Surprisingly affordable for newbury street and does great work. Wait time is about 1 week in my experience.
Ram Gar: Great
Adrienne Barrios: I called to ask for base prices (knowing that each job differs, of course) for two services: taking in sides of dresses and adding snaps between buttons. The person on the phone refused to give even base prices. It's not easy for me to commute places, so I'm not going to trek to a tailor who won't provide at least ballpark ranges up front. Lots of tailors provide base prices on websites these days, the same way hairdressers do--by listing a minimum and stating that it varies.
Kevin Fender: Not cheap, but excellent tailoring.
Meisam S: Hands down the best place to hem jeans and pants.
Jen Fox: Best Fit Tailoring altered my wedding dress and the alterations are stunning. My dress was super complex with layers of lace in a pattern that is hard to keep in it's original form, because of it's complexity I was nervous about having anyone alter the hem. They did so flawlessly and with such knowledge and expertise. They knew exactly what they were doing. I feel as though my dress is now a piece of artwork given their clever ways of altering and preserving the original beauty. I highly recommend them and trust them with any article of clothing!
Jordan Todd Serpone: I’ve used them a couple times for easy stuff and it’s fine. But everytime I go in and ask for something simple they treat me like im putting them out and that they basically don’t want to do it. It’s not just a language barrier, I think they’re actually just rude. I have no idea how they were voted Boston’s Best. I’m going to look for a good tailor who actually is pleasant to deal with.
Ryan Magee: Best Tailor in Boston
Clayton Reed: I brought in a pair of pants I needed tailored within the hour, and they accommodated without any difficulty. All really lovely women and a pleasure to work with. Fair pricing, beautiful studio. Above the sneaker junkie store

All-Fit Tailoring: what do users think?
Kaitlyn Lyngaas: All-Fit Tailoring provided a superb experience for my wedding dress alterations. There was a delay in my dress delivery from the dressmaker, and I didn't have it in my possession until 5 weeks before my wedding. The team at All-Fit was able to turn my dress around quickly and with the highest degree of quality. They explained what the dress needed and what kind of bustle would work best with the design - which, as someone with no knowledge of these things - was very helpful. My dress was perfect and I'm so glad I chose to go with All-Fit. I can't recommend them enough.Service:Wedding gown alterations
Maria Yampolskaya: When I ordered it, my wedding dress was a size or two too large for me. All Fit worked with me to make sure it fit PERFECTLY! My dress came out so beautifully and it looks like it was made for me. Well worth the price!Service:Wedding gown alterations
Gavriel Elkind: There aren't enough stars to express how fantastic All-Fit is! Binh and her incredible team altered four dresses for my family and me for special events. Each dress was altered perfectly, and on tight timelines. Binh was kind, attentive, professional, caring, and invested in how my family members and I felt in our dresses. I can't recommend All-Fit highly enough!Services:Alterations,Dress alterations
Mary Nikolai: Binh was wonderful. She did a fantastic job with my hem, bustle, and straps. She went above and beyond what I hoped for. She is helpful in recommending what is best for your dress. A great experience at All Fit!
Jen Herbert: They were so sweet!! I could tell that they were true experts at their craft, and walked me through every suggestion they had with clarity and good rationale. At my final fitting, they took lots of photos for me to show friends and family, and even recorded a video of instructions on how to do my bustle, which ended up being a breeze to put up on the day-of. Thank you for your beautiful work!Service:Wedding gown alterations
Lauren Yang: Knowledgeable and able to explain a lot of considerations I had no idea went into tailoring a wedding dress!
Thanhthao Huynh: Binh is amazing. Her craftsmanship is superb. Very professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I’ve had my wedding dress altered here at Allfit a while back and she did an amazing job! Had so many compliments and I felt so comfortable and beautiful in it. I came back to Allfit again with my mother-in-law to get some party dresses altered, and again very pleased. Dresses turned out exactly how we wanted, comfortable and welcoming experience, and quick turn around. Glad to have found a seamstress that I’d always go back to and recommend to others!
Rachael Giovanucci: I bought my wedding dress from Ceremony Boston and Binh at All-Fit was recommended to me for alterations. Binh was amazing at every appointment. She is so positive and made my experience so much fun. She is knowledgeable and upfront about all information. I had purchased a pearl belt to attach to my dress. She resized the belt and added it in a place to compliment by body type. She is a true professional. If you need wedding dress alterations go see Binh!Services:Formal wear tailoring,Alterations,Wedding gown alterations,Dress alterations
Lena Carlson Sydness: I was recommended All-Fit Tailoring after buying my wedding dress from a sample sale. Because the dress was purchased from a sample sale it needed a lot of alterations. All-Fit did not disappoint. They were incredibly knowledgeable and made my Claire Pettibone dress look even better on me than I could have imagined. I couldn’t have been happier with how the dress turned out. You definitely get what you pay for. Thank you All-Fit Tailoring!
Jane Suttmeier: If I was a praying woman I would say thank GOD for All Fit. I realized the morning of my flight that my linen pants to my suit were just way too long… like a ridiculous amount of length for any tall person in heels. I had a huge meeting for work the next day. I landed at 6 pm and All Fit closes at 7. They saw me, tried to do a quick fix and didn’t work and said they’d stay late to hem the pants and have them done by 10 am next morning before my meeting.I am from Chicago and let me tell you if I ever move to Boston I will never go anywhere else!!! I am so thankful for their speedy handy work when they clearly are extremely busy. THANK YOU!Service:Alterations
Kelly Wilbur: Won't help local store! Extremely rude!
N Neil: I needed the waist taken in on a pair of pants, a cotton-poly blend. Another paid of pants cotton- the waist taken in. I also had a linen dress where I needed the straps on the shoulders shortened and the sides take in a bit by the waist. For a cost of $290, what I expected and what I received did not match. I get it is wedding and prom season, but they had my clothes from 5/12/22 to 5/31/22 when I came to get them today. The only item that did not have fit issues were the cotton pants.I literally stood there arguing with the woman where she is basically telling me just to wear my clothes in a different way from how I wear it so she did not have to fix it. It was like the work was not done on all the items and they were surprised I showed. I had to push and push for the dress and the pants to get fixed, and basically state that I was not leaving until they were done. The dress was also super wrinkled and linty. It still was not fully fixed when I left, but I was so angry that I was just done and wanted to get out of there. As a tailor, seeking to make sure things are even and clean are basic.I am a size 10 and POC. I am guessing I am not the usual clientele as I mainly see tall lean white women in the area and both times I went into the business itself. I should have just had patience and took them to the dry cleaner's tailor onsite I have gone to before. I would have likely walked out with a finished product for much less money. It is difficult for me to find clothes I like to begin with, so this was not only upsetting, but disappointing. I don't have a ton of money, and I was attempting to keep the clothes I have. I could have gone out and gone shopping instead. I should not have had to fight with someone to do their job or to do it well. Not only that but I was overcharged for bad work! At least if you are going to charge that much, do your job.Save your money! Unless you are getting a gown done for some event, go elsewhere. Not okay. Not at all.Service:Alterations
Alexia Ritter: I went in with a dress and they were so kind and honest, they told me I didn't need it tailored, just to take it down the street to be steamed.
Kaitlin Gee: My first dress didn't come through in time so I needed to scramble for another dress to attend a wedding. Found the dress, but the shoulder straps needed to be shortened (it might be one of the more "simpler" services?). On top of this, I was visiting from the west coast and Boston was my best shot at getting my back-up dress altered to fit in time for the wedding which was taking place in a different New England state. Challenge accepted. We called over the phone first to ask if they'd be able to accommodate this alteration with a quick turnaround time, expressing that we were willing to pay the 100% 48-hour surcharge that is, as of the time of this review, listed on their website and, luckily for us, they did say "yes" (Note: Don't expect them to say "yes" just because you read my review. It was wedding season, so these folks are already swamped with clients, so depending on the level of alteration needed, they can decline if they don't feel they'll have bandwidth to do a suitable job --- which really speaks to how much they value quality work and customer satisfaction). We walked in and found that this little shop is busy and blessed with calm and controlled chaos. Lang and her team were warm, gracious, modest, and handled client stress quite well. It is obvious that this business. is. LOVED. I'm so grateful for All-Fit Tailoring and swear that if I find I need something altered and I happen to need it while in Boston, Lang and the rest of the All-Fit team will easily be my preferred business.
Zach Shepherd: We needed a dress altered on short notice. All-Fit did a great job. Everyone we interacted with behaved professionally, and the alteration seemed to be done well (although I'm not really the right person to judge). They seemed very busy, but took care of the job promptly. We needed to clearly communicate what we needed done and our willingness to pay the fast turn-around service surcharge listed on their website — after that, we were seen same-day.Service:Alterations
Marisa Bono: You will not find a better tailor than Binh anywhere. Binh altered both of my sister’s wedding dresses, my friend’s dress, and both of my bridesmaid dresses. We had an emergency the morning of my sister’s wedding, the steamer I used stained the front of her reception dress. I called Binh as a last resort after trying every dry cleaner in Boston. It was her day off but she took the dress, took the belt off, and cleaned it at her house. When the stain didn’t come out, she took the dress to her shop and used the fabric she cut off the train to sew a new front panel on the dress, sewed the belt back on, pressed the dress, and got it back to the venue in time for the reception. She refused to take any money from me…she is truly INCREDIBLE. There is no one else who would have gone above and beyond like that. She is worth every penny because not only is her work beautiful but she takes the time to get to know and develop a relationship with each client. Thank you, Binh, for saving the day! You have gained customers for life.Service:Alterations
Pan Li: Wouldn’t recommend this tailor to anyone, completely unprofessional and overpriced. I sent my jeans to get them hemmed, the owner was very rude to small customers like me, but super friendly to ppl who come for wedding dresses. When I asked her for advise because I was not sure how long to get it cut. She immediately said, I suggest you to go to other stores because I don’t think I can satisfy you. She did not even try at all! And turned around to serve girls who were trying wedding dresses with her fake and obnoxious smile, I was shocked and went to talk to her to see if she would change her mind. She again told me, “I told you to go somewhere else, I cannot do it for you” without apologizing or feeling bad. She is absolutely the worst tailor that I’ve ever met.
Harrison & Anna Lee: You made our special day perfect! Thank you so Much!!!!!
Christina Bono: If you are looking for wedding dress or any alterations, look no further than All Fit Tailoring. Binh at All Fit tailored 2 wedding dresses for me for my July 3rd wedding. On the day of my wedding, my maid of honor was stemming one of my dresses and the stemmer created a massive stain On the dress. As I was panicking, my maid of honor called Binh from All Fit. Binh was not working that day but instructed my sister to have someone meet her and bring the dress and she would figure it out. In under 3 hours, Binh had cut out the piece that was stained and used a piece of my train that she had cut previously to replace the stained part. If that wasn’t enough, she then drove the dress back to the venue!!! You could not tell, the dress looked absolutely perfect. I know All Fit is a little pricier than some of the other options but you literally cannot beat that kind of service. Both of my dresses came out absolutely perfect. The week of my wedding, one of my dresses was too big because I had lost too much weight and of course Binh had fixed it within 24 hours. I cannot recommend All Fit tailoring enough. I was always able to get a convenient appointment day and time with All Fit and never had to wait once I got there. Binh goes above and beyond and it was an absolute pleasure to work with her!!!Service:Alterations
Jimmy M: Had a terrible experience dropping in for my wife to get some pants hemmed. When we asked for help making sure we measured correctly, the front desk called my wife picky and said they’d rather not do work for picky customers because we’d be unhappy with them when we pick up the pants. It was clear they’re not looking for business from local everyday customers, only the affluent who they can take advantage of
Chris Oakley: Miracle workers.

Rodolfo Tailoring: what do users think?
Jane L.: Rodolfo tailored two of my partner’s suits. I accompanied my partner on all fittings and he was personable and very knowledgeable… an insanely stylish advisor with craft and skill. He’s also just a peach. 😘
Bob Prendergast: Simply the best. He can make anything look good on you
Preston Williams: I’ve been going to Rodolfo for 3 years, and he is by far the best tailor I have ever worked with. Not only will he take on a challenge, but he also provides honest feedback and is willing to follow up to make sure the fit is exactly correct. I’m very precise with my requirements, and Rodolfo has always delivered.
Robert Chiozzi: Services:Alterations,Design
Daniel Berson: If you need to hem your pants while you’re on your coffee break - go somewhere else. Rodolfo is a true artist, a poet and a local treasure. The attention to detail he puts into his work is rare to come by these days. He won’t take your garment unless he can guarantee a perfect result. He will go out of his way to make sure the garment accents and elevates you, not just “fits”. I’ve enteusted him with my most prized suits and jackets, and they all came back looking better than they were brand new.
Robert Love: Best tailor in downtown Boston.
Amy Januskis: I've been going to Rodolfo for 15 years or more, and I'm always amazed at his work. Rodolfo is professional, respectful, efficient, organized, very attentive to the finest of details, and does not make mistakes. I credit Rodolfo with helping me refine my wardrobe to fit my unique body frame. I'm extremely fortunate to have him as my tailor.-Amy Januskis
Kaustubh Pande: Highly unprofessional. Quoted the skyrocketing amount just for a stitching job and when argued, replied very arrogantly asking to check any 'local' tailor.
John McDougall: Rodolfo is amazing. I have been coming here for many years and everything always comes out perfect impeccable service and a really nice guy.

Jordan The Tailor: what do users think?
Samuel D.: I gave them a call regarding a damaged suit, and they were very honest about the best approach. Thank you for your time!
Susy Natalia: I need to altered my bikini bottom 1 week before my NPC competition. Someone referred me to Jordan tailor. Mr. Jordan altered my suit very fast. My bottom suit is covered with rhinestones but he did it with no problem! Price also affordable. Got my bottom suit in a week and I won 3rd place! Thank you Mr. Jordan, you have saved my life!Service:Alterations
Thomas Ross: I cannot recommend Jordan more highly. I went in to have a suit altered and he went above and beyond to ensure quality and timeliness. As he was taking measurements, he presented me with all of his suggestions and their subsequent prices. I in no way felt pressured and he talked me through each option. I selected the ones I felt were important and were within my budget. His prices are very reasonable and the quality is excellent. Throughout the whole process he was friendly and professional and I walked away with a great looking suit and a good feeling. I will definitely be backService:Alterations
Javier Rosario Music: Jordan is the BEST tailor in the world!
Yucong Huang: excellent!fixed my dress just as I wished
Sammy Iliopoulos: Jordan is extremely talented! I had a terrible rip on my suit pants and he was able to fix it quickly and nicely. I absolutely recommend him to anybody that needs his assistance.
Fenella McLuskie: I got quotes from all the tailors in back bay and Jordan was by far the most approachable and gave me the most reasonable price. I would highly recommend!
James Kilkenny: A lovely, handsome man. Plus an excellent tailor. You can't beat a handsome Greek tailor
Ella Saar Flekser: Jordan did a very professional job with my beaded dress in just a few days! I was very happy with the dress and also felt Jordan was very nice. Highly recommended!
Mark Shellrude: Came through in the clutch. Great work.
Marcello Rusciano: Nice person. Even if he couldn't fix anything because my problem was not for its competence, he told me another good place to go.
Sabrina Fennelly: Amazing work done patching up a tear in my Canada Goose Jacket. Other places refused to do it or charged a ton, but Jordan the Tailor did it for a great price and under 30 minutes. The man working there (I'm assuming Jordan :) ) was so sweet and helpful, and did beautiful work.I've told my friends to go to him for all their tailoring needs! Great job & great experience, really kind guy :)

Mauro's: what do users think?
Nathalie Wood: I am so happy I found Emilio to alter my wedding dress! His attention to detail and tailoring skills are incomparable. You can tell that he knows what he’s doing. He altered the length, added cups and made a bustle. My wedding dress fit like a glove on my wedding day!! Emilio is also so kind I always looked forward to our fittings, and he’s willing to work around your schedule. I cannot recommend him enough!
mink2112: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Value
Ashley Barry: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Edward Reardon: Don't ever go to this place. There are two brothers who run it as two separate businesses depending on the day, which they don't tell you, and the customer gets inconvenienced when you come to get resized for a final fitting and the other brother won't help you. Not the way to run a business. Plenty of other more accommodating options in South Boston.
Neil R: Old fashioned but got the job done . The building was a little sketchy though lol .
Geoffrey Spooner: Mauro’s place is HANDS DOWN the best tailor I’ve EVER used. Such an old school operation, I love it. He was courteous, extremely efficient and wicked affordable. I brought him my favorite pair of jeans that I split right down the rear..lol and he came up with a solution and shared my vision for a design with red thread on it. He even offered to have them completed same day. I strongly recommend them for any of you tailoring needs. Thank you sir.Spooner
Stephanie H: He did a great job with my pants. I highly recommend his services. He is old school good service and reasonable prices! Very good find!
jennifer milkiewicz: Giovanni is the best tailor and I could not recommend him more! I went to him last minute for alterations on a dress that I needed in less than a week and he got it done in 3 days! The fit is perfect and I could not be happier. He works magic!!
Emily Gabree: Emilio is amazing. I highly recommend this tailoring shop! Every dress that I've had done here has come back perfect. He truly cares about his customers, and it shows in his dedication to his work. I wouldn't take my dresses anywhere else!
Talen Carvalho: Great service
Victoria Levy: Got a bodycon dress altered here and t fit perfectly afterwards. Also have had him fix jeans zippers etc and the work is always great and reasonable price.
mike peterson: Giovani is an excellent tailor with a passion for his work. The prices arev reasonable, and service is excellent. The building is not high end by any means. But that just illustrates that the focus is 100% on the clothes.I have had many shirts, suit jackets, and pants alerted here, and I keep coming back.

Gregory's Fine Tailoring - Tailoring Service, Tailor Shop, Tailoring Alteration, Custom Tailoring in Boston, MA: what do users think?
Peter Avila: He's decent enough. I was instructed to pick up my order on Wednesday, but it wasn't ready yet. They then told me to come back the next day in the afternoon. When I arrived at 3 pm, he was still working on it.The tailoring seemed rushed, and there were loose threads. Additionally, the seam of the pants appeared crooked, leaning to one side. It wasn't terrible, but considering the price I paid, I was expecting a much better job.Service:Men's clothing alterations
Graham Smith: Great work on a suit I brought in! I had Gregory hem my pants and shorten the sleeves of a suit jacket and the suit fits me perfectly now! Will definitely be returning for any tailoring I need done in the future
Summer Quinn: Gregory is an amazing tailor! Incredibly clean work and very quick turn around! I’ve been to him a few times in 2022/2023, and have nothing but good things to say!!Services:Alterations,Custom made clothing
Harold Moore: Excellent work as usual! This place made my wedding dress, which is really lovely. They obviously approach it as an art form because it was a challenging dress to change. The amount of thought that went into the design and finished product is much appreciated!
Will Ramirez: I just got my JoS Bank suit tailored from Gregory. I got a suit in kind of rush because I needed it for a wedding. At first I was not that excited about the suit. I handed in my suit to Gregory and hoped for the best. Well, the results exceeded my expectations. The suit now fits great and it was delivered right on time. I even accidentally left my tie in the store when I first delivered it and he was nice enough to put it aside for me. Really nice guy. I definitely recommend him for a suit tailoring.Service:Suit tailoring
christopher henriquez: Great service, great work, very fast, and super friendlyCame in needing a suit tailored in a day and he got it done for me will definitely come againService:Alterations
Jon Burr: Gregory is a great tailor, aside from being a kind, dedicated, caring, thorough, giving and patient person.Having shown up with a rack suit needing alteration, Gregory took the time to review our options, and we ended up getting a different suit on his advice.
Gregory wants it to be right and look great, really cares about his work, and goes out of his way to make sure you get the best possible result at the best possible price point. We can’t recommend him highly enough.
Zachary Hastings: Never again! I have never experienced a more unprofessional, rude, flaky, forgetful business owner in my entire life.We brought in seven suits to be tailored for a wedding. Gave him a date we needed them by and he assured us they would be ready (more than three weeks out). I called him that morning and he told me they were finished and I could pick them up that afternoon. I stop in after work and he hasn’t even started them. They are still sitting on the same rack where we left them 25 days earlier. He assured me they would still be done by the next day (three days before the wedding). I stop in two days later and he isn’t even halfway done. When all was said and done, I had to delay my departure until the morning of the wedding and the suits still weren’t pressed. They stink like cigars and he overcharged us by over $600 compared with what was quoted. He might do good work, but there are plenty of other tailors in Boston who do good work and won’t rip you off and can actually meet a deadline.Stay as far away from this guy as you can!Service:Alterations
Christopher Walsh: Gregory did a great job! He is quick, efficient and takes great pride in his work. Definitely recommend him to anyone
Steve DiLauro: Gregory's is by far the best place for alterations and tailoring in Boston. I had three pairs of pants altered and was very impressed with how they came out. Not only that but it was done in just a couple days. Excellent work and great people over at Gregory's. Highly RecommendService:Alterations
Dylan Barrison (Dylan B): We brought in my suit and my fiance's wedding dress for adjustments. Gregory did an amazing job for both of them! He is also a great guy and a pleasure to talk to. All for a reasonable price too! I highly recommend him!
Paul Petronello: I had a fantastic experience at Gregory’s. I was traveling from New York to Boston on a Saturday for a wedding that evening. Realized that my suit pants were incorrectly hemmed. Thought it was insanely low probability that I would be able to get a same day tailor especially without a preexisting relationship. Decided to search around and make some calls and that’s how I found Gregory’s. I arrived at the store around 2:45 Saturday, he took my measurements and advised me to both hem and taper the leg for a cleaner look. He then let me leave my luggage at his shop and gave me a lunch recommendation around the corner. I came back around 3:30 and the pants were done and absolutely perfect. Best tailoring experience I’ve had in my life. Still can’t believe I was able to get it done same day before a wedding. He is a master of his craft and a really nice guy to work with. Highly recommend.
Danny DiGiacomo: Excellent customer service, very kind & professional, insightful & helpful, and above all else quick & affordable. Very talented tailor with fantastic attention to detailServices:General repairs,Alterations
Jessi L: Gregory seems to be a very nice guy. However, back in September, he provided one price for 4 dresses then charged us a higher price at the end. Made my friend and I go there three times to pick up the dresses and they were not ready. Each time we had to sit and watch him work on our dresses while he said "5 more minutes" or "why don't you come back tomorrow, promise you that they will be ready". For all the wait time we did, unfortunately he still rushed the job and the dresses were longer than they should have been. It was only him back then, so may be he was understaffed. It was not the great experience we were hoping as per his positive reviews. If you are in a rush, do not go there!
Loretta Kelvins: He does a great job, but you never know when he's at his shop. It says 9am, but he will show up whenever - so call ahead. Also make sure you give him a deadline for finishing- he was still working on my item at the last minute. The changing room is the bathroom - which was not clean at all.Service:Alterations
Shashanka Gomez: Positive:ProfessionalismOne of the best tailors around Boston. Highly recommend!Service:Alterations
Tage Colberg: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueTailored my pants in less than 15 minutes while I was at the shop. Great quality, great value, and great service.
Connor Colson: Top tier guy. Expect to wait a few minutes since he walks over from his house on nights/weekends. Did our wedding dress like it was nothing.
Tyler Carlson: Been living in the North End for 6+ years now and Gregory is the best tailor around. very professional, and his services and attention to detail are un-matched. He is my go to tailor and I only trust him with my Jackets and Pants.
Michael Lorenzi: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueGreg did an incredible job on last minute alterations. He was super fast and flexible too!Service:Alterations
Ellen Gold: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueBeautiful job as always! My wedding dress was tailored here and could not be more stunning. It was a difficult dress to alter and they clearly treat it as an art. I am very appreciative of how much thought went into the design and final product!Service:Alterations

Kokel Custom Tailor: what do users think?
Casey Pons: Terrific details!
Dalal khair: Best alterations, and reasonable price.
Alex Dale: Kenan is hands down one of the best tailors in Boston. He listens to his customers to make sure he provides exactly the fit they want. My body type can be hard for tailors to work with but he's done a great job on 10+ pieces for me so far. He was even happy to go back and make additional alterations to a garment that I wasn't 100% satisfied with. On top of that, his prices are very fair, his turnaround time is quick and he's very conveniently located for me (I work in Back Bay). Highly recommended!
Mariana Beer: Great craftsmanship and great service!
arushi mithal: I was looking for tailor for long time and finally, I found the right person. I have always been a person who is into custom made dresses but being a student always used to get in the way! :( Kokel tailors is definitely value for money! :)
Vamshi Annam: Appreciate his work. He is very nice person also his sewing is very precise. My suit fits me perfectly
Javier Justiniano: I am a business school student. Kokel did a fantastic job on a suit that was way too big for me. He completely re-did the suit and now it fits like a glove. Very recommended and professional.
Daniel Lavoie: The very best clothes repair in Boston. I put a rip in a very nice shirt that I suspected was impossible to fix. Kokel took half a day to make it like new. Beautiful work.
Val C. V.: Great service. We needed last minute adjustment in one dress and one suit, we went there in the morning and the service was done by the afternoon. Both looked great!
Muaoz Talat: I've been going to the same tailor for last five years. The guy is very professional and does his job very carefully. Everybody ask me where I tailor my clothes. This is the reason I am keep going back to him to tailor my clothes.
Burak Sezer: It was a great experience ! I was completly satisfied with the final product.

Newbury Tailoring Co.: what do users think?
Philip Montenigro: Unprofessional. I made a 9 AM appointment and was left standing in the rain for 35 minutes. When I called later I was told sometimes, Carlos, doesnt make his appointments on time. Do not bring your business to such a sloppy shop. They don't respect your time, as is noted in other reviews.Services:Pants alterations,Suit tailoring
D: A friend recommended I get my tailoring done here and I’ve stuck with them since - it’s been about 2 decades. Their service and quality is unmatched. Some of the hardest working people I know. There’s no one else I trust with tailoring. Thank You for always doing your best to meet my needs.
Abigail Lytton-Jean: Carlos = the Zipper King
Julianne DeLuca: I wish I could give them 10 stars!! I can’t recommend newbury tailoring enough. They are beyond wonderful. Thank you for helping me with my wedding dress!!!!Service:Wedding gown alterations
Shena L: I had a dress for a wedding that I needed to get altered to make it bigger and was in a rush (needed it in 3 days). I went to two other tailors who turned me away but when I went to Newbury Tailoring, they made it happen. Not only did they get it done in 2 days, they did an amazing + high quality job, added extra fabric with embroidery that matched the design. 100x will highly recommend!!!Service:Alterations
FakeSpree -PUBG Mobile: Will probably never work with them again super unprofessional.Service:Alterations
Jill Bernstein: Newbury Tailor is the best! I come to them for everything - they are so kind and professional and their work is flawless!
Bryant Narvaez: Some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I walked in to get measured for a tux that I’m buying elsewhere and they already knew to ask me for a form (which I had ready) so they can precisely fill it out. The whole process took about 10 minutes. I know where I’ll be going in the future for any tailoring service!!
Joshua Oshiafi: Really nice, well-lighting and organized. My measurement taking went pretty quickly!
Dan McGrail: They were very helpful taking measurements for a wedding.
M Demers: The staff are so friendly and helpful. Their prices are also competitive, and they get your items done quickly!
Max Tell: Fast and efficient measurements for a suit.
Kathleen Francis: Newbury Tailoring did the fitting for my wedding dress, and they were so great to work with! I was on a short timeline, and the dress ended up needing to be taken in a lot more than I had expected, but they were able to get it all done in time, and were so friendly and helpful every time I went in.
Lisa Liebman: If you’re on a strict timeline and/or want to be able to depend on your clothing fitting correctly the first time, I’d advise against Newbury Tailors. Unless you have a lot of extra free time to make multiple trips to bring back unaltered/incorrectly altered pieces pieces, or to go back for pieces they forgot to give you, I’d avoid this place.I brought 2 dresses, a men’s suit, and 2 pants, all of which needed no major changes. The dress needed to be hemmed (low back pulled up) and the suit/pants needed to be taken in. When I picked up the items, 1 dress wasn’t altered at all (it was seemingly forgotten about, though I was still originally charged for it) and all of the pants were too tight. It seems that the measurements weren’t taken correctly or the tailor didn’t follow directions. Upon pick up I also wasn’t given 1 of the pair of pants at all. To remedy this situation, I checked in with Sonia over text at the front desk who didn’t get back to me for 20 days until I followed up a second time. I brought in another dress to be hemmed, taken in at the neck, and the slit to be heightened, and the 3rd pair of pants that were given back to us late to be corrected. I was given a month alteration time with a pick-up day the day before we were leaving for a wedding out of state. This would have been fine if they were able to follow directions. However, I got a text the day before pickup stating they needed to charge me $50 (which they lessened to $25) to alter the pants because they weren’t brought in within a weeks time and they never noted the slit adjustment. Both of issues were due to the fault of Newbury’s employees, but they decided it was best to punish the customer for their (multiple) mistakes. I asked if the $25 fee could be waived, since both of these issues were due to their errors. Instead, they offered to credit me $150 (the cost of the alterations to the dress) and not do any alterations at all instead of biting the bullet and taking a hit on $25 to keep a long standing customer. Their exact wording was “we can’t do free work and all other customers would be happy to pay the price.” I myself work in customer retention and blaming the customer doesn’t bode well for long standing relationships. To be clear, I voiced that it wasn’t the money that was the issue — it was principle. I advised that it was unfortunate that they felt $25 was worth losing a customer over (a customer that they have had for years — I literally brought my wedding dress to them years ago) but they stuck to their guns. When I went in to pick up my unaltered pieces, they were left in a bag on the front desk which clearly sent the message that they did not think it was worth having a conversation with me.The overall point is that they seem to have trouble completing the basic tasks that a tailor is meant for (like, actually altering the clothing correctly, or at all)… so I’d go elsewhere.Service:Alterations
Alejandro Roberto: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ValueThey were really nice and made my shirt good as new
Maria Beach: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWish I could give 0 stars. Truly. Not only was this the most overpriced tailor I’ve ever used, But it has been Amir a few weeks since I received my items back and the alterations are fumbled/incomplete. What a waste of my time, money, and energy. Spare yourself the disappointment!Service:Alterations
Laura Zwanziger: Positive:Professionalism,Value

Designs By Rey: what do users think?
wenzly pena: Rey made me feel comfortable when meausuring me for my wedding gown alterations. The dress fit like a glove and got complimented the whole night on both dresses. The night was special and I Thank you very much for being a part of that!Service:Wedding gown alterations
S N: Do not take any garments you care about here. I had a very negative experience:1. I brought a dress that was simple, asking for it to be cut into a top and bottom and tailored. It was all one piece of material, no lining or layers, very simple in design. I showed him a photo of the desired outcome. He took very few measurements which I thought was odd. He charged me $100, which was a little steep given the simplicity of the garment and alteration.2. When I went to pick it up, it had been cut in two but no other alterations for it to fit properly as shown in the example photo had been done. It looked awful and baggy and the skirt was nearly falling off my waist. I asked for him to fit it/take it in. He put one clip each on the skirt and top (again, taking less measurements/not pinning as I've had other tailors do in the past), and told me it would be ready 3 days later.4. I returned 5 days later to give a grace period, and he said it still had not been worked on. I wasted a trip all the way there (and it is not an easy place to drive to or find parking)5. When I returned to finally pick up the garment again, the tailoring was awful. He had taken it in too tightly at the waist and it was puckering, the top hadn't been taken in much at all.He gave me my money back when I told him I was unhappy with the garment. That was appropriate, but now the garment is unwearable, a vintage dress ruined, and it's too close to my event to have someone else fix it. I do NOT recommend Designs by Rey unless you are OK with no attention to detail/sloppy alterations.
Ernesto Reyes: They do great alterations they are very good at their craft very professional and nice people
edwin pacheco: The best Tailor in Boston and nice services
Lena Owens: I had a great experience with Designs by Rey. I had a dress that needed to be hemmed and taken in and they were able to do it within a week for about $90, which I really appreciated. They did a great job and were easy to work with.Service:Alterations
Heather Beckius: I cannot recommend Rey enough for all your tailoring needs. I brought my wedding dress to Rey's for alterations including taking it in, hemming the length, and adding a bustle. All services were completed with expertise and within the expected time frame. Making sure the dress fit a certain way took multiple visits and Rey did not stop until I was 100% satisfied with how it looked. The price (affordable to begin with) never changed despite the extra visits and attention. I feel so lucky to have Rey and his team as our patient and highly skilled neighborhood tailors!Service:Alterations
Charles Steinberg: Second time I've been in for last-minute alterations for an event and both times they've done an amazing job reconstructing pants. Speedy and quality work!!
Johanne Perry: Rey did a great job on my husband and daughters outfit for my cousin's traditional wedding.
Colescott Rubin: Timely, professional, high quality! My suits finally fit well!
Kelvin Mack: Very good design
lena jenkins: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueRey is my go to person. Whenever I need an alteration he is there. It never fails awesome person, very professional and dependableService:Alterations
Katherine Pena: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueRey is super talented. He did a fantastic job with my bridesmaid dress. He was detailed, fast and provided an exceptional customer service experience. I will be coming back for all of my tailoring needs!
Anna Pettit: Designs by Rey is one of the best places you can go! I brought in 5 pairs of slacks that were all different lengths, and Rey fixed all of the hems to be the perfect length. Two pairs were also too big, and he tailored them to fit me perfectly. The quality and value of the work is amazing. The stitching is beautiful and practically invisible - you'd never even know that they used to be ill-fitting and too short/long.A resounding 5 stars for Rey, and I will absolutely be recommending this store to anyone I know who is in need of alterations.Service:Alterations
David Castro: Service:AlterationsPositive:Professionalism,Quality,Value
Elif Karatas: Rey altered my wedding gown, and did so beautifully! I needed the hem done and he did it perfectly and with a short timeline. Very professional, I’ll definitely be going back.
Carina Nyberg Washington: Great place, affordable, quick, friendly, and quality work. They fixed the zipper in my fav winter jacket. So thankful!
Emily Paisner: Rey is amazingly talented! I came to him with a vision for my wedding dress in 2018 and he made it all happen in the shortest amount of time with the best price of the 5+ places I researched/got quotes. See full description and photos below:We were on a budget and doing something outdoors/less formal, so I bought a dress online that was too big (wedding dress sizes are weird, so I'd say this was at least 2-3 sizes up; I was a 2 and this fit more like a 6 or 8 - I could pull it up and down without undoing the zipper). It was a chiffon-like material as the top layer that was pleated over a corset boning that angled down to a low back and intricate beading sewn in like a belt across the middle. By taking it in that much, a straight angle from the chest to the low back had to be recreated, boning in between the fabrics taken out, and beaded belt pattern adjusted very carefully. On top of that, I asked Rey to cut off the train and create sleeves (it was strapless originally) and put in cups/breast support so I wouldn't have to wear a bra/bustier underneath. Not easy tasks! Rey quickly sketched out exactly what I was asking, so I know he got my vision. I showed him some Pinterest photos as well just in case and he said it would take just a few weeks and cost under $200 (the corset padding/support bumped the cost up a bit from what he originally mentioned before the first fitting, but only by like $20-30 and was totally worth it). I tried it on for him to pin it how he needed, and he said I could come back in 1-2 weeks for a fitting/finishing touches. The second appointment had pros and cons. The dress fit perfectly but the line from the top to the back wasn't straight (I think it just wasn't finished) and I wanted it a little lower in the back. He didn't cut off the full train like I asked because he didn't want me to regret it; instead he shortened it to be just a slight drag -- it was very pretty (and thoughtful - I'm sure he's had experience where he's done what was asked and then couldn't undo it if someone changed their mind), but I was adamant that I didn't want to drag in the dirt for the outside ceremony or bother bustling it for dancing. The sleeves he had pleated to match the design on the bodice, but it wasn't like the original design we had discussed, so we went back to his original sketch to clarify. The last part with that the support pad he sewed into the corset were huge and directly on top of my breasts as opposed to underneath and from the sides to help push up/support. I think this is a more common way to do it with Quinceañera dresses (especially for girls who maybe haven't developed yet). This piece was the only alteration where Rey brought in an assistant to help interpret -- I understood Rey's English perfectly fine and he seemed to understand me (I didn't speak much Spanish at the time), but I think he wanted to be positive nothing was lost in translation. The third appointment 2-3 weeks later (only a little longer because Rey had a vacation planned) was sheer joy to see my vision come to be fully realized! All the changes had been made to exactly how we discussed. The only small edit was the wide and placement in the back of the new sleeves he created from the train that he cut off. I picked up a few days later as we were right at the wedding date and everything fit perfectly (note: I found out I was pregnant just before this last appointment, so if it looks a little tight in the photos it's because I was 10 weeks and had started gaining weight). The only issue was that it had a few wrinkles (I think this was just because of the short timeline he didn't get to it), so I took it to the dry cleaners on Centre St. since the wedding was the next day. There are pros and cons to every experience, especially when there's so much riding on such an important event, so I can't say I wasn't anxious/nervous at times, but I trusted in Rey and he delivered just the most amazing bespoke dress I could have imagined! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! 3Services:Alterations,Design
Tina Sun: Now that I am moving away from JP, I want to share a story of why I love this place. For those who are nearby, I highly recommend this local business run by Rey, a master tailor who is extremely kind, hard working, and fair priced. For years I had gone to Rey for small projects here and there - hem pants, patch shirts and other rips. For these small projects Rey was quick (1-2 days) and the price always reasonable, everything ranging from $5-15.Then, came my wedding last year. I started working with an expensive wedding dress tailor 6 months before my wedding. He was expensive but I thought, it would be worth it since it was my wedding. I missed the red flags throughout the process. He was running late but promised he would have the dress ready the week before the wedding. 5 days before the wedding, I picked up my dress and it was totally unusable. I’m not exaggerating. The skirt was tulle and many complicated layers with horsehair trim. Because it was so complicated, he literally pinched each layer with white thread in a horribly messy way to lift the layer off the ground. So I ended up with a heavy dress that had no shape and random fabric just getting pinched in various places. As for the bodice, it was supposed to be form fitting and sequin, and the cups he put in did not fit my body at all. The top SAGGED. I paid him and took my dress away and then cried at home.I had no idea what to do and the wedding was 5 days away. I seriously considered buying a simple white dress off the rack as my next best option. The next day, I took my dress to Rey. I asked if he could do something, anything within 3 days or I wouldn’t have a dress to wear. Rey worked 3 consecutive nights on my dress. He first had to repair what the first tailor broke, and then he took up the skirt from the waist by deconstructing the dress, and then re-did the bodice, sequins and all, to actually fit me. I live nearby and saw the lights on in his shop well after the shop closed. He didn’t even try to over charge me despite my desperation and this express job cost several times LESS money than my original tailor.I picked up my dress the day before the wedding. It was perfect. I didn’t think this type of thing would ever happen to me since I’m a planner, but it did and Rey literally saved my wedding day. I will always be grateful and hope that people with projects big and small will think of going to Rey and supporting this excellent gem of a local business.
Jennifer VonFlatern: Thanks to Designs by Rey for hemming my bridesmaid dress. I had tried to do it myself during Covid madness but they got it fixed and even gave me some elastic for the masks I was making for family pictures. They were very nice and accommodating.
Isolina (Ina): Saved my wedding dress!! Highly recommend.
K Libby: After having a horrible experience at davids bridal for a bridesmaid dress fitting. Ray was able to fit my dress in under a week to perfection. Recommend him highly for any dress alterations! He previously fixed my sisters dress earlier this winter and did a great job as well.😁
