Jane Gilman: The people here are courteous, friendly, skilled and reliable. Turn around time is fast. No loud music, no hype, no struggling to make an appointment. Instead, competence & reliability. Just walk in and they’ll take excellent care of you. Oh. And I should mention they sell machines, too? It’s all good. I can't recommend them highly enough. Goodbye Apple store for me.

I spent the last week in the Bahamas, in a suite that came with my own concierge, and I think Computer Loft might have just provided better customer service.Ryan, who was incredibly knowledgable and patient took the time to explain all my options, including the pros and cons of each. Without exaggeration, he taught me more about data storage, macs, and computers in general in 20 minutes than I've learned in the rest of my entire life.Another reputable Apple repair shop in Boston quoted me essentially $1,000 worth of repairs, most of which would've been pointless because the computer's other components were already at the end of their life. The option Ryan provided cost me $80 and works perfectly for what I'm trying to do.On top of that they repaired the L key on my keyboard free of charge. Greg even showed me how they do it when I asked.Plain and simple, highly technical professionals like these guys or auto mechanics know that the lay person is completely in the dark. Most take advantage of that fact, these guys don't. They're good guys doing good work.Don't bring your Apple products anywhere else first.

Garett Langer: Had a great experience. Service was fast and friendly. Beyond doing the work I'd ordered (replacing a totally fried, swelled battery) they cleaned up the device really well. I had an old key protector that had basically melted to the keys, and while it was still removable, had left a lot of stubborn residue on the hardware I thought was never going away. When they handed the laptop back, I couldn't tell that'd ever happened - I felt like I was just handed a new machine, aesthetically.

They took out my hard drive, copied my files into the Mac, and got me all set up, but I had to return because I was having trouble adjusting. Even though it was beyond the call of duty, they helped me with navigating Microsoft Word on a new device with a frustrating keyboard. After a few days of misery, I gave up. I bought a refurbished PC, they transferred my files again, and even taught me how to adjust to the new computer and the new version of Microsoft Word with minimal charge. (Thank you so much, Iris. After doing some research, I found OTSCR and decided to get a second opinion here. From the get-go, Iris assured me that they would try and figure out what the issue was and give me a timely update. Merlin Bicking: If you need help with computers, this is the place. Yes, these are computer needs, but they know what they are doing. I have been going to Micro Center stores since dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Steven Kleiman: The representative who created my work order was not transparent. I asked only to have my battery replaced, and expected to have to pay the cost of the battery plus a service charge of $50, as was advertised on the Micro Center web page at the time (it has since been updated). The representative said that my computer would be tested, but didn't say that there would be an additional charge of $40 for this service, nor did he give me a chance to decline this service, which I did NOT want. When I went to pick up my computer, I found out about this additional charge. So I asked to speak to a manager, and was told he was not there on that day. A manager should always be available during regular business hours. Thus my experience was rather poor, and I will have to warn people to take care when requesting service at the Micro Center.

yvonne la rose: I'm one of a growing number of people experiencing issues with the motherboard from a hp pavilion x360 laptop which is less than 2 years old. I brought it to TECH COMPUTER IN SOUTH BOSTON. They're extremely knowledgeable and have been seeing this exact problem more and more. They tried everything to try and fix my laptop. Knowing I was on a fixed income from SSI and spending close to $675.00 for a laptop is a huge portion of my monthly income, then to have it last just a little over a year of purchase was devastating. My daughter was so thoughtful and since my birthday was coming pitched in on the computer knowing I couldn't afford it on my own. But now I'm being told it could cost as much as the laptop just to get and install a motherboard. I was heart broken. The staff at computer tech felt so bad for me. One of the techs worked at length trying to figure something out and actually got it working I was ecstatic. Went in the next morning, paid a minimal amount compared to the hours this tech put in. But unfortunately it didn't last, the charge never held after getting it home nor did it turn on. So I called and brought it back the next morning. The owner wanted to try a couple more things but in the long run I was refunded my money. Great shop, hardworking, dedicated people who care about the little guy and don't bloat their fees.

There was a bad snowstorm in Boston today (8-12”) and they were still open and I took my test just like any other time (except with a mask on because of Covid).

Barry Tilles: Don't listen to these one star crybaby ef-ups. This is one of the best computer repair shops in the Boston metroplex. I have brought them units with a variety of maladies g including some specialized small form factor carputers, over the course of about 15 years. I have never been dissatisfied with price, repair time or quality of work. They never gave me the run-around, and they'll tell you if the job would be a waste of money - some things you can do at home, or ,throwt if it's the case, put the thing out in the trash 'cos it's cheaper to buy another. Oh and they've never wiped out my hard drive without asking.So if it's a Window's reinstall or virus removal or upgrade or hardware fail or networking issues these are the birds to call.

Úlfur Grant: Scheduled a certification exam at this location only to have no one show up during the pre-determined time. Also, in a sketchy area. Avoid if possible for both testing and computer needs.
Jeffery Keilman: Don't bother scheduling a PSI exam here. I waited outside for over an hour today for my AWS Solutions Architect Associate exam, called their number and tried every extension. Nobody ever answered or bothered to show up. If you decided to take the "holiday" off, fine. But make sure you don't let people register for your exams next time.

In each case he was quick, knowledgeable, cost efficient and incredibly reliable in follow up and answering my dumb questions (with which he showed great patience). He also saved me considerable sums of money by giving honest and direct advice concerning components, anti-virus program recommendations and also internet providers and what they offer. His repairs were completed ahead of schedule and the prices always reflected what he quoted in advance. Highly recommended (as I have done to other friends, who had similar experiences to mine).

In both cases, Grant was top notch!He fixes things fast, and he is VERY cost efficient - he never offers a more expensive solution, when a simpler one will do. I am super impressed with his level of knowledge about everything computer related. He has literally seen it all!In case of my 8-year old iMac, he not only fixed what was broken, but also suggested upgrading to an SSD, which made it fast (again, after several years of sluggish performance).And in both cases, all of my photos/videos/music was restored, giving me a huge sigh of relief.In summary - I can't think of a more honest and professional place, highly recommend it to anyone!
Andrea Devine: Today I made my second call (after my initial visit of a year or so ago) to "PG," aka, in my book, Professor Grant. My issue was "only" an extraordinary bombardment of malware that took...a bit more than a few minutes to exterminate, but, of course, I left with my laptop in perfect order.A wonderful aspect of PG's work is that if the fix is an on-the-spot, PG will explain and he will teach. I won't be putting him out of a job, but I appreciated the lessons, and I left with my laptop and my feeling a bit more empowered in the relationship between Mac and me. (PG is the best!)
Celeste Willhite: DO NOT TRUST GRANT SARUMIAN AT PROFESSIONAL GEEKS. He is dishonest, unprofessional, and a cheat. My daughter took her failing laptop to Professional Geeks. He replaced the hard drive and cable, and charged over $500. He said the laptop was like new. Within weeks, the laptop began failing. She had returned cross country for the winter break and had critical work she needed to do for her position as a teaching assistant. In a desperate attempt to save the data from the “new” hard drive onto an external hard drive, we took it to data recovery specialists. They were unable to save anything. The hard drive had completely and utterly failed. She lost all of her data. I returned the hard drive to Grant and told him I expected a refund. He said that because the label had been removed and he wasn’t able to return the hard drive for a refund, he would not refund any of my money. The data recovery specialist said that he overcharged for the hard drive. What should have cost no more than $250, he charged me over $500 for. His selfish, unprofessional policies cost my daughter and me more aggravation and panic than I can possibly describe. I plan to take him to small claims court. You cannot trust this person.An update: after I posted this review, I received a partial refund from Grant. He maintained he had done no wrong.

I'm an average joe sort of for computers and i have a desktop (MSI vortex) that couldn't update windows and (everytime it tries it fails) then it reverts itself back. one night I left it and the update forced itself onto my computer. After that, windows would not boot up again. I called and had to bring it to his home office. I won't lie, it was a little scary just dumping off my desktop at a stranger's home but gave me a quoted price (which I thought was steep but then again i don't normally go to get professional services done). Dropped off my desktop and i called the next day as he claimed he should be able to figure it out. During the call he informed me that he needed a few more hours. basically got a text by the close of business the next day that it was completed. I picked it up, paid via venmo and now my computer can run windows properly and updates too!Thanks a bunch WangPC! Fast and easy fix and quick too! Very satisfied with the work provided. I would recommend this place for anyone that needs computer help.
Chuanwu Zhang: My WIFI always cannot be connected after the Window 10 updates automatically. Thus I have to recovery the Window to previous version after the update. Couple months or even several weeks later, Window update automatically again and I have to repeat the process above again. This issue bothers me a lot recently since the automatic update occurs every 1-2 weeks. Thus, I have to solve this issue thoroughly. Believe or not, I have gone to other professional stores to seek for help before visit WangPC, and I did not get expected solutions until meet with Wang. He is skillful, professional, responsive and quite flexible. He knows that I need my laptop eagerly, and he works overtime on weekend to fix the issue in a pretty short period. ZEGUANG XIA: Very unprofessional.Last week I came to this shop to repair a computer and was greeted by an African American man at the front desk who was very careless.My laptop is a dell 5559, there is a click sound when switching the screen, and there is a slight separation visually. He just made a simple visual assessment, and then he gave all the lcd covers and hinges to be replaced. Then he checked the price of accessories with his mobile phone and told me that the price was 240$. The maintenance period is one to two weeks.However I am well aware that the LCD is around $50 at most, while the hinge is cheaper. So I went to another shop for repairs.Another shop found through visual inspections that the anchor points on the Display back cover broke, but the hinge is working fine.They only cost $48 for labor + parts. They can be fixed in 3 days.Even if all the LCDs are replaced, it is only 40$, and the second-hand LCDs are 20$.Today I got my laptop for $90 and it has been fully restored.

Maia Matisse: They kept my PC for over a month and said they couldn't figure out how to fix it and that my device was "very strange." I asked to pick it up with all the original parts and got it back missing the screws, my usb wireless keyboard connector jammed in, and just discover after opening the computer up that the hard drive is also missing. He was impatient again. I paid according to the ''new item'' and came home. I found multiple scratches on the inside and outside of the screen, and I realized he wasn't being honest.That's why he's so arrogant when asked those sensitive questions.
