Urban Cycles: Boston's Downtown Bike Shop: what do users think?
Soleil Morales: This is by far the best tour I did in Boston. If you can bike, no point in doing any bus/duck tour. Highly recommend taking to these guys and go on a ride with them.
Melissa Saura: We had the best time on our Urban AdvenTours ride. We visited great neighborhoods that we would never have seen had we just toured the city on foot. Gary and Ken were very friendly and knowledgeable about the city and its history and eager to give tips and recommendations. A must-do to get to know the city!
Luis Sanchez Galan: Don’t call their store. The people are rude and uncooperative.
Andy Clark: Really great tour, highlight of our trip to Boston. Three great guides, we learned a lot and it felt very relaxed. Our guides kept us safe at all times. They were also happy to chat afterwards and advise on places to eat etc. Really great way of exploring the city.
Jared Egan: Changed out the busted tube on my bike real quick even though I came in near closing time. Thanks guys!
Jonathan Huang: Had a great time with my guide Pell, who was a knowledgeable and witty guide for the Cambridge tour. You'll get local nuggets you won't get from a website or Youtube. Boston is quite bike friendly and there was no issue with traffic or the shared paths.
Trevor: Had what I needed, but the staff member helping me was not pleasant. He was condescending with an attitude and he wasn’t willing to go to the basement to check what other items they had in stock. I wanted a different aesthetic for a seat tube collar, but he was complaining about having to go downstairs to look at the stock, so I settled for something less than ideal.
Tess Elam: Our group of four really enjoyed the bike tour. The three guides were so informative and showed us some great spots in Boston. The tour was well paced and the guides kept checking in with us and ensuring we stayed on course and together as a group. The booking process was easy online and the information before the day was clear and helpful. It is better to book directly with the tour’s own website. The bikes were easy to use. Highly recommend. Thanks for a wonderful day!
Laurie Monk: Awesome bike guides, very knowledgeable and helpful.
Sarah Coltrona: Austin was a great guide and gave a great bike tour of Boston!
Margaret Gabrek: Great bike tour experience, tour guides were very nice and knowledgable!
Ann Marra: Great tour. Fun, safe, bike ride, good for all skill levels. Nice way to learn about the city covering a lot of ground in one tour with knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Baily Nagle: Great customer service. No problems with bike.
Lykourgos Tzardis: Excellent private bike tour with Len, whose in-depth knowledge of the extensive history of Boston and MA in general is the perfect addition to the amazing sights.
Alison Kramer: We took the City tour on 4/7. Austin was our guide and did a great job. We really enjoyed the city tour and would recommend to anyone looking for a fun way to explore the town. We did the e-bikes and loved the extra assistance.
Christopher Dedecko: Way too expensive and the service team was unpleasant to deal
Kevyn Dodson: Great way to see the city! Highly recommend. We did this on the first day in Boston. It made the rest of the trip better because we had some perspective for every place we went on the rest of our trip. Definitely made us check some things out that we never would have without the tour. Bob is the man!
David Bergman: If you're looking for a fun tour in Boston look no further! Our guides (Austin & Pell) were very informative and kept us safe on the roads. We had a group of 12 and everyone said they would do it again! So much fun! Bikes and gear in great working order as well. Next time we're in Boston we'll be back for another tour for sure!
Victoria Doran: Bike was fine; staff friendly and efficient; plenty of bike routes nearby
Susan Williams: We had a great time touring with Urban Cycles. Guides Bob and Charles were awesome and we really enjoyed cruising the Boston neighborhoods on eBikes! Learned our way around the city along with some interesting history. We highly recommend this company :)
Michael Tremblay: One of my favorite tours I’ve been on in a very long while! The 3-hour tour felt like the perfect amount of time to see a HUGE chunk of Boston without it being exhausting. Our guides Charles and Gary were incredibly friendly and informative and made the entire tour feel very personable and conversational rather than just being talked ‘at’ the entire time like so many tours tend to do. I really can’t say enough nice things. If you’re looking for a unique way to see a large portion of Boston, this is the way to do it.

Community Bike Supply: what do users think?
Panagiotis Mandros: Bike before not good. Bike after very good. This bike shop is great and the staff very friendly. I left my bike for a flat tire, and I got it back almost new in one day. Don't know what they did, but it was awesome and fairly priced. Highly recommend!
Jonathan Buonocore: Absolutely fantastic repair shop. Jose and Mr. William set me up in record time after a plastic bag got caught in my chain and destroyed both the chain and the derailleur
Brye Andersen: Hands-down the best bike shop in Boston. Hands down the best bike shop I've ever been to, I'm from NYC and in Boston for college. Staff is incredible, they don't upsell you and don't have the elitist attitude I've found prevalent at other bike shops I've gone to. For example, when I went for a tune-up last year, I went in expecting to replace my slightly-worn tires but was informed that they're still good. They understand that different people bike for different reasons and everyone's needs are different.Repairs are quite quick, and should you need to leave your bike with them, they give you an accurate itinerary of what work is needed, when that work will be done, and call you when it is ready to be picked up. Living in a dorm and working as a bike courier my old beater of a road bike unfortunately is exposed to the elements more often than I'd like it to be, yet I've always walked out of here confident that all the work I've paid for was necessary to keep it in safe working order.
Christian Torres: Excelente servicio! El vendedor tiene la major actitud. Se habla en inglés y en español. Recomendable
Sarah Lin: Thanks for packing my bike with so much care and love. Still riding my bike every day in Berlin and glad to have this memory from Boston with me.
Pierre Cauvin: Not good at all.
Simon Somov: Friendly service. Checked and tuned my gears after my transportation of the bicycle in luggage.$15 at all
Nick: I needed a few springs for a part on my bike so I headed over to Community Bike Supply. They gave me the springs for free and even installed them real quick while we chatted. Very nice and friendly people. Will definitely return for my future purchases. Also has available street parking if you come in your car.
Christopher Dedecko: Best bike shop in Boston… and I’ve been to a lot of them.
Tiger Audio: I give FAIR ratings. I give poor ratings when I get poor service. If a place is exceptional, I take the time to give 5 stars and that is what these folks deserve. I was in a real bind. I made it there about 25 minutes before closing. They loaned me tools, got me the part I needed desperately, showed me how to install it, which I did, got me aired up, and on my way. I was the guy with the 2 wheel mobility scooter that got a flat tire. EVERYONE there was helpful. If I lived in Boston, I would buy a bike from them and get all my parts from them, even if I didn’t ride a bike.
Ashley Shen: Awesome shop! Jose went above and beyond to replace and adjust drop bars and a stem on a used Lemond so it would work perfectly for me. They do fantastic work and the bike was really fairly priced for how nice it is. I couldn't be happier and would definitely recommend this shop!
Nicholas Lippincott: Everyone here is very friendly and helpful!
Cameron Ryde: Got a flat on my way home from work and didn't have a tube. I stopped in to buy one and they were kind enough to let me change my own flat in the front of the store and watched me while I did to make sure I didn't need any help. Thanks so much guys!
Paul Davis: The people working here were very nice.
Rachel Bernstein: Nothing but extremely positive experiences here. Have been using them intermittently for service over the past 4 years. Not only have I always received prompt, friendly, fairly priced service, but they’ve gone out of their way to get work done in time to work with my schedule and even let me wait out back in a beautiful garden while doing so. And if that wasn’t enough they have tightened my brakes and adjusted my gears (both sorely needed) without charge. Only bike shop I use in Boston. They are excellent.
Jackiethe great: My sons birthday was yesterday so I’ve been searching for the right bike for about a month, a few days before we went to this store. It’s close to my house. Looking around for about 10 mins none of the employees offered to help us. It seemed as if they were even trying to look away so we left. There were 3 employees at 3 different areas in the store, in a U shape that surrounds the store. I already knew what was happening. So why spend money there?
Warren Creamer: Friendly staff, assembled my new bike for me in just a day and a half, weeks ahead of when other shops in the area said it would be done. Will use Community Bike Supply for 100% of my biking needs.
Angel Robinson: No ebike service (enduro/ delfast)
Alex Nikanov: Absolutely fantastic service! Quick, knowledgeable, great price, and super friendly! Thank you!
Liam Brozen: Worthless mechanics, won’t work on your bike unless they sold it to you. What a rip off.Edit: since the owner wants to argue, let’s consider, what requires “specialized training” to inspect brakes or tires, E-bike or non e-bike? And worthless is a perfectly acceptable adjective to describe the mechanics and their attitude, just read the other reviews, all dismissive and rude when you come in to ask for help. One must wonder, what kind of business is someone running when they turn away paying customers?
Taylor Olsen: They did a great job helping me with my bicycle! They charge me very little to swap my tire for a used one that was in great condition. Everyone was helpful!

Ferris Wheels Bike Shop: what do users think?
Brendan Fogarty: Really great experience taking my toddler to get his first helmet. The owner got down on the floor to kiddo-height and was so patient finding the right fit.
Radu Nan: Service is mediocre and lacks attention to detail. I had a break pad service done. I requested a break rotor fix too and was told nothing was wrong. The break squeaks. The belt drive was poorly reassembled and now squeaks too. Don't trust this shop for more than basic work.
Jared de Uriarte: 10/10 experience, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Very approachable, which is a pleasure since sometimes bike shops can be very intimidating. Got a whole lesson on how to fill my tires. They also offer a flat tire repair 1 week guarantee….if you get another flat after they’ve fix it, they’ll give you another one free under 1 week.
Lambdaman: I went on vacation left my bike with them for 2 weeks expecting a clean tuned bike, I came back to the same dirty untunned bike , DESPITE ME CALLING A WEEK INTO IT CUZ I KNOW THEY ARE SLOW IN EVERY SENSE of the word , and they assured me things were on schedule, and nope they lied. Now I just go to Busted Knuckle in west Roxbury, better pricing , knowledge and service
Dale Gensler: In short, I needed the rear wheel rebuilt on my electric bike due to breaking spokes, which they did, but communication about the repair was nonexistent and the process took nearly 2 months.I initially called this shop to see if they would service an ebike, to which they said i would need to bring it in first to get an answer. I brought it in and the person who looked at it seemed hesitant to accept the repair but they did and they told me they wouldn't get to it for about a week and a half but I will have a quote in a few days. I said that was fine since i didn't make any kind of appointment.A week goes by, no word. So i call, to be told they haven't gotten to it.Another week or 2 goes by, I call, no they haven't gotten to it, no quote.Another few weeks, I call, no information.Another week, I call, yes we are taking it apart to get measurements to order new spokes. I said great, so it should be done next week most likely? The person on the phone said maybe.I wait 2 more weeks and call, they say they need to take it apart to get measurements. Haha what? I tell them they already did that. I get put on hold while they figure it out and only get told yes the spokes are being ordered.Another week, I call and ask what is the ETA of the parts? No answer other than this week. The week goes by, I decide it was worth to take a trip there myself to see in person whats happening. Surprisingly the same day the parts arrived and the repair was completed. Not once was I contacted by the shop except when it was done, and I likely wouldn't have brought my bike here knowing the time to look at it is 2 months out.
Wanying Kang: This bike shop is wonderful! Very friendly people and reasonable charge. Highly recommend.
Christopher Freiss: Very helpful staff. I will be sure to return for accesories that, in my eagerness to ride, forgot to get.
Jonathan Foster-Moore: **EDITED**Sad to say but Ferris Wheels is no longer a business I feel like patronizing with my money, time, or attention. I dropped my gravel bike off at the end of June - it needed a ton of work - and thus was told it wouldn’t be ready until July 11th. Tough, but I understand bike shops are still very overwhelmed. However — when 7/11 came and went without any calls or updates I called myself the next day and found out from an employee that because the head mechanic had quit, no one had touched my bike in over two weeks. Infuriating to say the least. No apology, nothing. Less than two hours later, I received a phone call that magically my bike was finished. No way you can do a full tune, F/R wheel true, BB overhaul, rear hub overhaul, and swap out tubeless tires in less than two hours and have it be good work. After picking my bike up it has a new rattling sound coming from the rear hub. I emailed Jeffrey Ferris the owner at the general email address to discuss my dissatisfaction and haven’t heard any response. I took my bike to Bikes Not Bombs soon after and had a wonderful experience - friendly, knowledgeable and a quick turn around! Don’t waste your time with an incompetently run bike shop like Ferris Wheels 👎
Dan L: They saved my 3 years old Schwinn! A brand new chain and customized rackets make the bike even better than before with a decent price! People here are also amazing! Bring your bike here for good!
Robert Barnes: Ferris Wheels is the best of everything that makes local small business special.I've been coming for years for everything when in need of regular maintenance or emergency repairs, but a recent visit finally prompted me to leave a glowing review.Amazing service, technical expertise, and troubleshooting prowess combine for a seriously skilled group.
Stephen Coveney: Can’t say enough good things about this place. They do not try to upsell you, they’re friendly, and knowledgeable. They also sharpen ice skates if your not in a rush (had to drop them off for 24 hours).
Susan Kiely: Omg. Incredible customer service and selection, but let me really emphasize the customer service. I am a bike noob and I felt so comfortable here asking questions and not feeling dumb. The accessories are great too (Taco Bell!) and the prices are better than reasonable. I have a vintage schwinn breeze and they took very good care of her for her tube up. I grabbed a ulock and a bell to boot and was very happy with what I spent. Questions were asked about my lifestyle and how/where I would be locking my bike up. There were thoughts behind every answer from Jeff I think his name was. This is the perfect bike shop and I am so happy I came here
Tony Cruz: I went here to buy a new bike because I put over 5000 miles on my previous bike (A Schwinn) and I wanted something better, more durable and a little faster. The owner (Mr. Ferris) had one of his associates help me pick out a bike suitable for me. I settled on a Jamis Coda 21" Hybrid bike. I was able to take it out for a test drive before deciding on purchasing it. I was impressed with how the bike handled and how fast I was able to go. I did 20 miles around the Franklin Park Golf Course. The path around the course is exactly 2.5 miles. I tested to see how the bike handled going up hill and it handled really well. I finished in 73 minutes. A personal best. I strongly recommend you come down and see what they have in stock.
Dim Tonkov: Did not get an appt, but the girl on the phone was really nice and honest.Wish the available times were not a month out...
Raimi Sharin: After communicating my immediate needs- we worked to solve my problem, and get my bike successfully back on the rode
Becca Whitehouse: Went in around close for a bike lock. The person that helped me helped me understand my options and make the best choice. I didn’t feel rushed at all! Thank you!
EG M: Helpful and communicative in some basic bike service.Other times they had trouble servicing me, but overall, I’ll be back :)
Jeanjean Taba: I had my bike fixed at Ferris Wheel a few months ago, no complains they did a great job. Planning to return in the future whenever I need service.Great job!!!Thank youJ.
Thomas Thuene: If you don't have a cell phone, they won't let you in.
Andrew Pacheco: Excellent bike shop! Knowledgeable and kind staff who have been able to service my bike efficiently every time.
Jarell Charles: Very rude I called them asking for a item and instead of telling me they didn’t have the item they hang up in my face.

Bikes Not Bombs Hub & Bike Shop: what do users think?
David Fisher: Great source for refurbished and new bones, equipment and repair, but also a great community fixture for rides, events and social change.
Vignesh Gunasekaran: I regret getting service from them.1. They charged 20 bucks for a donated wheel, to fit on my bike, but still that wheel wasn't suitable for my bike.2. When i told them it is very hard to pedal, they said it is due to the wheel rims not suitable for my bike/derailleur. But when i gave my bike to Landry's the service person there said it is due to chain not lubricated enough and they lubricated and instantly pedal was so smooth. So the person who inspects the bike here didn't know stuff fully, i guess. Not a good experience.
Damari Chappell: Don’t go there they’re are unprofessional they took my bike for a week then on the last day of the week they told me they didn’t have the part and the took some pieces from my forks
Rahim Gray: Went to repair a bike Andy is rude and disrespectful and racist. I will recommend people to shop elsewhere or not buy from them until Andy no longer works for the company.
Feather Poirier: Went here today and they were super nice! It was closing time, but they still did an immediate diagnosis of my bike (which had been sitting for a year) and told me it didn’t need anything except air in the tires, which they did for free. I really appreciate that they didn’t try to sell me on work my bike didn’t actually need. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Stephanie Davis: Always wonderful experience
josh habib: Today I found the perfect bike - a refurbished Gazelle Squadra - at BNB. Kareem and I spoke for 30 seconds and he pulled down the Gazelle for me - it’s comfortable fast rugged. No photo cause it will be coveted.
Stephen Tsaur: I love BNB’s mission and business model. I was happy to donate a used bike to them while there to purchase a refurbished one for my wife. The sales staff was excellent and helped me picked out a good choice. Unfortunately that’s where the praise ends. They took the refurbished bike for a “safety check.” I stood waiting outside, and then in the bike shop. It took the staff over an hour to realize they had forgotten about me.They apologized and did not charge me for a used rear rack which was a nice gesture. However, I am sadly leaving an unhappy customer.
Christophe Queva: First time at Bikes Not Bombs, after visiting another shop in Cambridge, where I was told to replace the hub on my bike. BNB fixed it in record time, for less than the initial estimate. Bike runs great. Andy and his staff are super friendly, competent and fast.
Alex Estrella: Donated my bike and got an upgrade. It was great and everyone really knows a lot about bikes and helps you get what you are looking for. They had a huge variety and I ended up getting a beautiful and high quality bike for an amazing price. The piece of mind knowing that you’re shopping with people that really can service a bike is worth the investment and it’s a great value anyways. They are very good at getting you right. You pay a fair price and they will take care of you. Would recommend to anyone looking for a bike and a much more sustainable option than buying a new and probably less high quality bike for the money.
Bren Atchison: Andreas and Kareem were a wonderful. They took excellent care of my bike and answered all my questions. A great place to go.
rose napierski: This used to be the shop I recommend everyone to go to but can't anymore after one too many unsafe/bad experiences.TLDR; Guy managing the place is condescending, belligerent, and lacks service skills. Super untrustworthy. Try Broadway Bike if you ride vintage.I got a cryptic and unhelpful message from the mechanic on Saturday (rear hub is in "bad shape" but no estimate or further info about what they propose). I decided I would pick up the bike and take it to my regular mechanic who I trust, instead of leaving it here.Today, I picked up my three speed and realized that Bikes Not Bombs had skimmed an extra $10 to "adjust shifting" even though of course you would not adjust shifting on a three speed until after the hub is overhauled because you need to take the shifting cable off to remove the wheel.(!!!!!!!)When I dropped the bike off there was simply a rubbing noise in the rear hub. Now, the bolted-on wheel is completely loose in the dropouts with about a half inch of play, and making a grinding noise much worse than before. It looks like they untrued the wheel deliberately. The tire was very underinflated. In the past after a flat fix the mechanic at Bikes Not Bombs has actually handed my bike back to me with the wheel crooked in the dropouts. I was lucky I had a wrench.Obviously unsafe.I get the impulse to defend this place (hey, I've fundraised for them and volunteered, too!) but really important to hold bad companies and management responsible before someone dies.
Scott Caspe: Kareem was extremely helpful and straightforward. Very nice and down to earth. Perfect customer service
Grim reaper 36: It is great, they had the best service and these guys are kind and their message is great.
Peter Salem: Amazing bike shop with great staff and better vibes. I visited for one of their Saturday used items flea market and picked up some great accessories for cheap. Very helpful for all my questions and for assisting putting on a new kickstand. Definitely will be back for my next bike needs!
Rhys Probyn: Well organized shop with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of road ready used bikes that covers a range of styles and sizes.
Tony Cruz: I went back here to have my bike (Schwinn) looked at once again. My personalized bike mechanic, Pierre, was busy working but was able to take a few minutes to explain to me why my gears were skipping and showed me why. This kid knows his craft. I was impressed once again by his knowledge on bikes and his professionalism. I'm glad Pierre was working because he had given my bike a tune-up a couple of months back along with a bunch of other things. He helped me bring my bike back to life and helped me get back into shape during this pandemic. I seriously recommend you stop by Bikes Not Bombs and see for yourself. Their prices are fair and reasonable and they have other mechanics besides Pierre who are willing to help.
Renee Hunsberger: Friendly and helpful workers. They do a good job on repairs for a fair price. I would definitely stop by here again the next time I need work done on my bike.
Irina D: Wonderful organization that not only had a great social mission but also has a lot of used parts it sells at very reasonable prices. I got a wheel/tire to replace my stolen front wheel. The staff were all very helpful!
The Gabino C. Family Entertainment.: Awesome place for kids safe clean and the staff are awesome love this place.
Jeremiah Woodberry: Very nice customer service. I love seeing the young people front and center. This place continues to be a gem in the community.

Bike Boom: what do users think?
Champ: Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Ryan Kennedy: Bike Boom really exudes the Somervillian ethos. It’s a great place to get maintenance done, especially on bikes in the $400-700 range. It’s rare that you see performance bicycles there in the four-figure range but they will do work on it. Prices are at the level, in my opinion, but they will work with you if you need to do something like buy a used accessory for cheap. They fixed my hub right away in a pinch and did a major brake and drive train job for me another time. It’s definitely my go to for fixes when I’m in the area. For small repairs, they will get you out of there by end of day, even in the summer. They have had no inventory of bikes since the boom of 2020 and there is a very small supply of accessories on the wall. They can now be contacted 24 hours and I even got a correspondence back from them late at night. I like going in the fall and winter because, you actually have a chance to talk to the guys. Seems to be new faces working there every time I pop in. I don’t know if that’s the extended hours or if there has been some turnover, but I won’t speculate. Definitely recommend bike boom for bicycle maintenance needs in the Somerville area.
Leah: Posting on behalf of my mom: If you love your bike and want it meticulously cared for, Bike Boom is the only place to go. Roy and Fern are amazing problem solvers and skilled professionals. I met Roy and Fern, when my husband and I arrived at Bike Boom just before closing to have air put in the tires of the knee scooter we had just assembled so I could get around without putting weight on my fractured tibia. While inflating the tires, they noticed the scooter was not assembled correctly. They stayed beyond closing and worked on the scooter until they felt it was safe and comfortable for a 70 year old woman to utilize. On top of being superior bike mechanics, Roy and Fern are kind, caring, considerate and honest individuals. I highly recommend them for all your biking needs.
Marc Maggiore: I was looking to get into bike commuting but didn't want to break the bank. Roy and Bailey were insanely helpful! Roy let me test ride a few bikes to find the right bike for me. Since I was new to bike commuting they gave me some tips and mentioned some helpful gear. 50+ miles later my bike is still holding up well. Overall great experience - thank you Roy and team!
Alok Saldanha: They fixed a flat for me right at closing. Took time to find the underlying cause and fix it properly. Saved my commute.
Michael Pach: Stopped by for a front derailleur adjustment and Clint went the extra mile and made sure my drive train was running smooth. They also had a continental gator skin in stock so I had him throw on a new rear rubber. Excellent service at a fair price. Highly recommend.
Harold William Kramer: Affordable. Quick. Friendly.
Joel Cohen: I had a great experience getting my bike repaired quickly and effectively at bike boom
Reed That: Go to Landrys bike shop instead. I'm assuming the positive reviews for Bike Boom are people who have never experienced a well run bike shop. Bike Boom told me my repair would be done in 1 to 2 days. A week had passed so I decided to check on the progress. My bike had been sitting in front of the store the entire time. I asked if there was some kind of problem with my bike and I was told by one of the workers that they couldn't work on it because the seat kept sliding out and it was a safety hazard. So instead of them calling me and telling me that, my ebike that I used to do deliveries just sat there and I missed a week of work. To make matters worse I dont even believe it was an actual safety issue. It seemed more like the worker wanted to excuse the long wait I mentioned. I took my Bike to a few different shops but they couldn't work on it because they didnt carry the brand of bike I had. I eventually made it to Landrys bike shop and they were the best. My bike was fixed in a few hours. I'd recommend Landrys, you won't regret it
Gaurav K: Kind, helpful, fair prices, came through in a clutch. I've dealt with many bike shops (including many mechanics with bad attitudes at other shops) - this place is one of the best. Thank you for treating people well and keeping me on the road!
Jason Wiser: Staff is super knowledgable and efficient, and kind. While their website appointment system tends to fill-up fast, they accept emergency / safety walk-ins. They want to keep bicyclists on the road!
T C: Best bike shop in the area. Expert advice and good service.
Tom Breur: Great service, very knowledgeable and helpful staff, and excellent value for money. What more could one ask for?!?
T Terry: ok bike shop. happy with the bike they built for me but the technician I met seemed annoyed that I was there, unenthusiastic about stopping what he was doing to make sure I was taken care of, or maybe just a little high. par for the course for a tiny bike shop maybe but I've had better service other places.
Eva: I've brought my bike here multiple times for little repairs when needed. Great crew, repairs are always done quickly and (in my opinion) affordably, especially for this area. I never feel afraid to ask a question. At some point I ought to learn how to replace an inner tube myself, but this shop is so good it's tough to find the motivation!
Ravi Hulasi: I've had multiple bikes from friends and family serviced here and have always been happy with the repairs, responsiveness, and price of the work done. The team takes the time to fully check out the reported problems, as well as to offer a clear explanation and advice in general. Thank you!
Alex Marne Smith: I had a great experience here. Staff are knowledgeable and very easy to work with. I needed to call multiple times (wondering if they would replace pedals, rescheduling) and they were super patient. They also did a great job on my bike and with a really quick turnaround time! Good prices too. Highly recommend.
Connor Bohannan: I’m new to Somerville and this shop has become my go-to bike shop. I trust them to give me fair prices and expert advice. They’ve got a customer as long as I live here.
Eric Robsky Huntley: Really great little shop!
jennifer amaertil: I was looking to fix the tire to my son's electric scooter. After visiting a few larger well known shops in the area and being told that this was a very difficult task and no one had the proper tools, Bike Boom looked at the tires and smiled. They told me how to fix it myself, I insisted that they do it, 24 hrs later, scooter is up and running.Thank you Bike Boom!
Rhein Ferdous: I put my bike in for repair and apparently it was very difficult for the shop to complete. They could’ve dropped it any time but saw the whole project through. Much respect for this shop 💯💯💯

Dedham Bike: what do users think?
Ed Lucie: Great service, expert repairs...
Ryan Agustin: Excellent product and great communication!
John Ferris: A knowledgeable, friendly and customer service centered staff made our purchase of Fifield Bonfire and Seaside EBikes an easy decision in an often confusing had hard to compare market. All our questions and concerns were answered and we are the happy owners of two excellent bikes. We'll be back for more accessories !! Thank you Dedham Bike!
Rob Grabowy: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Michael Trefry: The shop called me after I placed my order to let me know the wheels I ordered would be custom built and take a couple weeks to ship. They were very friendly and helpful and the wheels were perfect!
sophie Tobias: Highly recommend Dedham Bike! Matt is super knowledgeable, yet is able to come to your level and advise you/your child for the best purchase. What I loved the most is: 1- not pushy for you to buy anything, in fact he’ll give you the time to research before you commit. 2- super flexible, Matt took our bike back and was able to replace it and take care of all paperwork super fast for my son to have his bike. 3- personable in all aspect, this is a local place and absolutely loved the casual chat. Go for it!
C. N. Hawk: Customer service, 100% - and a great variety of bikes. I found my new favorite bike store!
Ken McCarthy: My fat tire came fast and when I called the company I actually got a person on the line right away. They called me back with answers just like they said they would. The tire is great but it was the services that got them the 10.
Brian K: Great local bike shop!
Joe Magni: Friendly Staff, quality repairs, thorough attention to details, and met fee and schedule estimates offered.
Greg Hargrave: Awesome shop! Friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful! I stopped by to test ride a mountain bike (Dedham was the only shop nearby with the one I had my eye on). Matt took time to answer my questions and to give his feedback on the bike. I bought it and some accessories that he was kind enough to swap for me. Got the bike out for a ride later that day and the accessories Matt recommended were spot on for what I was looking for.
Gabriel Polonsky: Always friendly and open for questions
John Connolly: We brought a bike with some significant problems to Dedham bike. It was returned to us in mint condition. The staff at Dedham Bike are friendly, professional, and skilled. We can recommend them both highly and without reservation. Thank you, Anna Maria and John Connolly
Franklin Tanner: Dedham bike is fantastic, I’ve been coming to their shop for probably close to 15 years at this point. Always happy to help, chat, find parts, and service my bikes as needed. My first choice when recommending a LBS to friends.
Mark P: Just realized that my original rating didn’t include my review notes so I wanted to update it because these guys rock! Dedham Bike is fantastic! First time customer and was super happy with the service and upgrades they did for my bike. They got it done faster than I’d have ever expected too! Everything came out great, the staff were friendly and welcoming and it was just a great experience. Will be a loyal Dedham Bike customer for all my biking needs now! Thanks guys for such a great customer experience! A+++!
Frank Kidd: First class people taking great care of your every biking meat I’ve been dealing with them for over 10 years never had a problem they can perform magic if you need it done quickly their service is the best in there Customer Care cannot be improve you will like they’re friendly and professional service I guarantee it from kid
Matt McCabe: Exceptional service. They went above and beyond to help with my daughter’s bike the day before school starts and I was out of town on business. Thank you very much! Highly recommend to anyone!!
Liam Papsadore: I went in to take a look at a few different mountain/street bikes and the recommend me the best bike I could ask for and I'm so happy with the customer service because they answered all of my questions. Over all they were all very nice. If you see this I highly recommend this shop for any bike needs.
Justin-Michael Emmanuel: Very nice shop. My girlfriend got her first bike from here and the folks were very friendly and helpful! They had a wide selection and variety of all kinds of bike related products, and the prices seemed pretty fair. I'll definitely keep them in mind as a first choice to service my own bike. Great experience overall!
Noreen Jonson: Professional, friendly and excellent work.
Harold Marcuse: Prompt service, good price.

Papa Wheelies Back Bay: what do users think?
Brett Deccy: Great people, very helpful, they definitely know bikes
Ryan: They are an awesome shop. They get the work done quickly and efficiently. I brought my bike in to true the rear wheel, and they went above and beyond to make sure the gears are shifting well, etc. The bike rides amazing now. Best bike shop in town. I cannot recommend enough.
Luca Alessandri: they already changed my wheel, but they didn't fix it properly so I brought it back to them , asking to change the piston and also to fix the brakes. I also kindly asked if, fixing the brakes would require new brakes or if would be enough only to tighten them , and they assured me that the breakers were fine just not enough tight . everything for 40 dollars. I left the bike on Saturday, they told me that would have been ready by Monday. by Monday I was in Italy so my girlfriend went to check for the bike , finding out that was not ready yet. no one called her anymore so on Thursday she went directly to the shop payed and left. just on the way back home she find out that the wheel was still broken , no pistons changed and one break not tight at all. so she came back and they kind of made fun of her, then they fixed the wheel without changing the piston ( I expressly asked to change the piston and the 20 dollars were for that , not for tight a bolt) , meaning that they didn't do anything and they said that they fixed only one brake cause the other had another problem ( I still paid for two breakers repare ). I'm very disappointed and also very sorry that my girlfriend had to feel this way. you might have earned 40 dollars but you lost two clients.
jason xu: Good service and nice people, my bike was handled perfectly
Stephen Cruz: Friendly staff, great service and very knowledgeable. 100% recommend.
Lauren Heil: Great advice for useful products and great service on the tune up!
Jess Robinson: Super fast and friendly service! Came in with a flat and they fixed it immediately and had me back on the road in 15 min. Thanks!!
Ace Cato: Great service
Garrett Smith: I always have a great experience here. The people inside are helpful and happy to share tips and offer suggestions. Prices are reasonable, and they're always very quick.
Dale Gensler: Don't bring an ebike here. They will give it back with more problems than when you brought it in.
Frank Nig: I rented a mtb to ride around Boston. Rental Service super TOP. Staff very kind. They provided to me a Giant MTB, helmet and chain for the full day. I enjoyed a lot. Also the shop is very cute and full equipped. I fully recommend.
Angela Lou: Knowledgable and patient staff! Thank you. I purchased a bike seat here for my baby and they installed it securely. They also have a good selection of kids' helmets in stock, and a few kids' bikes as well. So glad they are within walking distance.
Orlando Rivas: excellent service 👍
Daniel M.: Amazing service!!!!! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly!!!!!!!
David S: Zach is a terrific mechanic. Always does a great job on my F700 tune ups. Comes back dialed!
steven tanguilig: Bunch of nice guys who know their stuff and like fixing bikes, can’t ask for much more. Less expensive than other places nearby
Michael Metzmaker: Great mechanics, great efficiency, great price. They've helped me out a couple times with things that other shops could not. Can't recommend enough.
Jen Moroz: This is one of the best bike shops I’ve been to! Staff and mechanics are all knowledgeable and ready to help you find the parts you need. I had my bike serviced and was able to pick it up on the same day.
MsNorma1971: Getting there was very difficult for me to get there! The people were nice. I have yet to pick up my bike though, I just dropped it off.
Claire Jeantheau: Fixed my broken bike stem for free--staff are knowledgeable and kind.
Jake Chvatal: The employees were ready to help when I entered the store, but they were also ready to sell me the wrong inner tube for my bike.I trusted the staff to help me purchase the correct inner tube, providing pictures of my existing tire with all of the necessary numbers, and a staff member quickly fetched me one. However, I've come home to find that the inner tube I purchased is far too big for my bike. I'm not concerned about the price, but I took an hour out of my day to make it to Papa Wheelies and back to support a local business rather than order online, and I'm disappointed that I was so decisively recommended the incorrect inner tube.

Cycle Loft: what do users think?
Milton Alvarez: excellent help. They found exactly what I was looking for.
Rodc: Had my wife's bike in for some adjustments. Tech grabbed the bike and took care of it right on the spot!
aziza elalaoui: The best service we had ! It s worth it to go there !
Jhon Coleman: The store was great and so was the sales rep.
David “Revere Kitesurfer” Dyer: Staff is great.
william Verissimo: great service and fair price, I recommend !!!
Bryan Falchuk: So helpful to have someone guide me on my product selection. He wasn't pushing me to the most expensive thing, but rather helping me make sense of the options and pick what fit my needs best. This is why I love having a local bike shop I can trust that I know I can turn to. They also have a great product selection in stock. I've never been unable to find what I need when I drop in.
eric .Landes: I purchased a GoPro-style light mount adapter from Cycle Loft online. As it turned out, the part was out of stock but they expected it to be in in the two weeks after my order and offered to keep the order open and send it when available. This is not unheard of, but is a rarity in online shoppping. As promised, a few weeks later the part came in, the transaction was complete and I received the part without having to do anything additional. Not usually something to leave a review over, I was impressed that it actually happened and that they were on top of it—especially for such an insignificant part. Thanks!
Thomas Taylor: Bike technology has been advancing very quickly. Given that I have been riding my 1987 Bianchi for 32 years, I asked Brien many questions (I'm sure they were all GOOD questions). He was extremely helpful, taking time to help me to compare two different bikes and make a great selection. The staff KNOW the bikes and are cycling enthusiasts who work with customers to find a bike that is a good fit in every way, including cost. Cycle Loft was recommended to me and their helpfulness, knowledge, friendliness, and inventory will make me a return customer. I recommend them to you without hesitation!-Tom
Aspen Debyah: Cycle Loft had the bike (model, color, size) that I was looking for when no other bike shop in the area did. Brien was extremely welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable and he made sure I was happy with the bike and accessories before we left.
Pj Infurna: They Cycle Loft team is very knowledgeable and has always taken great care of my bike keeping me on the trails. They take the time to get to know who you are and always treat me like they are looking to earn my business every time I am in there. Vander is an excellent bike mechanic and has taken my entry level hardtail through all its upgrades (and break/fixes) for the last two years. I once tried out another local bike shop and that affirmed my belief that Cycle Loft was the place to go.
Ari Magnusson: Positive:Quality,ValueExcellent customer service.
Karen Flannery: UPDATE!!!!Again I am amazed by the customer service of Jeff and Cycle Loft. After my great success with my trike I decided the get a recumbent bike. After test rides and lots of time I decided on a bike that I had to order and thought I’d be able to get it in time for BikeMaine. Well the manufacturer is delayed.. and Jeff stepped up and offered me the use of the bike in the shop (not what I ordered but close) untilmy bike arrives. I am so very thankful and appreciative of their amazing support. They have a customer for life💕Jeff was amazing! I have a chronic heath condition and have been waiting for someone to carry Catrikes so I could bike again. Jeff gave me so much time over multiple visits, contacted catrike on my behalf to help figure out what would work best. Called and emailed to keep in touch and let me have an extended ride to make sure it would work for me.. came home with my catrike today and couldn’t be happier with the bike, service and consideration I received. Thanks Jeff and cycleloft
Stefan Schwarz: Great bike store with lots of choices and - most importantly - friendly and competent staff. On a quiet day after xmas we took our elementary school children to Cycle Loft who wanted to buy lights for their bikes. Nathaniel was very kind and patient explaining things to the boys. Thanks a lot!
Nicolai Cauchy: Stopped in yesterday (record cold i.e. few people): amazing selection of all styles of bikes (guessing almost twice as many as Belmont Wheelworks) and a superb repair/maintenance shop that is ultra clean and ultra organized. I was attended by Wanderlei, a former competition MTB rider and representative for Specialized, who has an amazing depth of knowledge!Single drawback, the price I was quoted for a replacement fork was about 30% higher than standard internet price... I'll double check with them once I decide what to do.Many thanks, Obrigado!
Patricia Ragnio: Positive:ProfessionalismWork was done quickly at a fair price.
Paula Blanchard: Excellent experience- I learned so much about my new bike my head is still spinning!!
TheSensemaker: Super knowledgeable staff. Real, deep expertise. No attempts to upsell. Wide assortment of products and accessories. Overall, great experience. It is now my choice destinations for all things bicycle.
John Kaufmann: Great selection of equipment and very knowledgeable, friendly staff.
Greg Hill: Great service great people
Jordan: Great inventory of parts and bikes. Knowledgeable staff and friendly atmosphere. Would like to see some other brands of aftermarket parts added to the inventory.

Landry's Bicycles: what do users think?
John Maguire: I always feel in good hands at Landry's. I've been riding a bike since age 7 and I'm still riding almost daily at age 70. Landry's is as good as it gets for me.
C Hinrichs: Went in today and Declan helped me (thin that was their name).Just got a new bike and had a dog carriage attached. The bolt came off and I came in for a new one and I also had trouble adjusting my seat. They were patient with my questions and seemed genuinely happy to assist me.
Aaron Effron: Thank you for fantastic service as always!
John Macuk: Got my replacement brakes installed without any issues
Sophia Yang: The service is always so speedy and good. Most importantly, the staff is extremely kind and efficient. Everyone is polite and made me feel very welcome. I have never been to any bike shop that has better service. I think these guys maxed out on the customer service.
Adrienne Groccia: I recently visited Landry’s for a tire and handlebar tape change and I couldn't be happier with the service I received. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and they had my bike ready in no time. I highly recommend this shop to anyone in need of bike maintenance or repairs. I really appreciated how patient and kind they were - I’m a complete beginner, and they took the time to explain what my options were. Thank you Landry’s for your excellent service!
Joshua Nealon: Quick, super-friendly, honest and well-priced. Thanks guys!
Robert Page: Landry's had an excellent selection of great bikes and knowledgeable staff that were very friendly and helpful.
Anne Fabiny: We always get great service, advice and products from the staff at Landry's!
John Owen: I always count on Landry's Brighton for expert advice and service. I have purchased two children's bikes and three adult bikes from Mark and his crew and have all of my service performed there. They are the best in Boston.
John Ta: Best bike shop. Good selection. Good service. Knowledgeable staff.
Jay Laing: Great selection and knowledgable sales staff. Just watch going on Sundays as they can get quite busy.
Craig Johnson: Informative teammates, low pressure sales approach and a community oriented accommodation for a large group of us who attended.
José Garza: Hermoso lugar solo tengo una pregunta ¿ hacen mantenimiento de orquillas de suspensión?
Jason Soules: Landry’s is the only bike store I will shop at in the US. They are incredibly responsive and don’t have that typical, “too cool” to help you attitude that other bike shops have. Landry’s is incredibly approachable for whatever my needs are and they work hard to find the right, cost appropriate solution.
Thealyn Ploetz: Drew was exceptionally helpful in helping me find the right bike part for a great price. As a newer bicyclist, it can be intimidating and overwhelming learning how to differentiate various biking equipment/parts. It was a big relief to interact with staff that was friendly and patient. I'll hopefully go back for additional biking supplies in the future!
Isabella Dobson: Bike service was fast and now my brakes work great! Everyone was friendly and respectful too.
Peter Gerlings: The service is great and the price is right!
anzew000: Best place to buy a bike
Stefano Kotsonis: Great gang of bike nerds --friendly & expert. And thanks for accommodating me with a speedy turnaround on short notice --I know you're usually too busy for that.
Rosie Halper: Love this place! If I could rate it 10/5 stars, I would. I’ve gotten 2 bikes from them. Randy is amazing! He knows his stuff, is friendly and courteous. Took my bike in for a flat and had it fixed in no time. I wanted to add on a few accessories, but it was too close to closing. They said to drop it off the next day (Tuesday) and it would be ready on Wednesday. I dropped it off Tuesday, and the technicians said they could do it right away, so I wouldn’t have to come in again. Sarah and Parker did a great job. Definitely come back here again for future needs
