Kimberly S: Absolutely horrible! I walked in for my appointment and the woman could care less that I was there and was looking for a wedding dress. Maybe it’s because I am not a size two that she body shammed me and told me nothing would work. I totally understand that they sell sample sizes of high end gowns, which is why prior to booking an appointment I asked if they were size inclusive, but I guess we have different definitions of what that means. I even added that I knew Bridal sizes is not the same as more “standard” dress sizes and next time I hope they just are more honest about what their sizing entails. Clearly I wasn’t worthy of this place or at least that’s how the person made me feel. No hospitality and I tried on one dress and left. I did not feel welcomed and not made to feel like this was a special moment. She just let me look without telling me prices or anything. So what is the point of the tablet you have people fill out? No respect to me or my time.I left feeling incredibly disrespected and very down on myself. Thanks for perpetuating toxic bridal culture! I wish I remembered the name of the person who “helped” me but if this is how you treat customers or this is you standard for people who work here, some new training needs to be implemented.

Mr and Mrs. Murray: I had Violet today as my consultant and she was just wonderful. We found the perfect dress and she was very attentive. Can't wait to pick it up.

Alison Singer: Pretty good selection of off the rack gowns and very nice/helpful customer service! It seemed that they offered a price for my selections that was the highest possible within my budget… So if you go here, I’d suggest that you say you have very low budget and you might get a really great deal!

Ayelet Ehrenkranz: There was a great selection of designer dresses. I found one I really liked and Violet was nice enough to hold it for me as I made a decision. She called a few days later to follow up and when I told her I decided to go in another direction, she was completely understanding and happy that I found something.

Brianna Ferrara: Phenomenal Service! After visiting David's Bridal, Vows, and another dress shop, I was pleasantly surprised by the experience at Boston Bridal Rack. I was one of only 3 appointments in the store and received personal attention the entire time. The consultant only showed me dresses in my budget and and provided advice about fit and alterations. I fell in love with a gown and purchased it in January 2019. They kindly offered to hold and protect it in store for free until the wedding in October. After three fittings and some customization, the dress was perfect. The alterations were well done and the staff was kind, helpful, and not pushy at my visits. I have since recommended them to a few friends. At the very least, every bride should pop in to see their options. Very high end and couture styles that I didn't see anywhere else!

Emily Prinsloo: I had a very stressful experience with Boston Bridal Rack (aka "Musette Bridal") which included my gown “shrinking” (which in my opinion might have been a scam). Consequentially, I would NOT recommend.I went to the store around 2 months before my wedding, and was thus limited to samples. After a nice experience, I committed to a “Pronovias Vicenta” gown for $1,200. The lace on the top of the gown came off a little but other than that, the gown was in very good shape and I was happy to purchase it. The dress was several inches too long and ~ 2 sizes too large. We had to clip it in a lot. So, I was going to have to alter the dress later.I was told that, because the gown was a sample, it would be sent to a professional cleaning service. I had to pay for the dress in full on the day, but had to leave the dress with them for cleaning.One month after my appointment, the dress was ready for pickup. Luckily, I wanted to try my dress back on when I came. To my disbelief, the dress was suddenly too SMALL and of VERY POOR quality! It was way too short even without wearing shoes (my toes peaked out), whereas before, the dress was way too long even with heels. Moreover, whereas the dress previously had to be clipped around my hips and waist, I could now hardly zip it up. It was so tight that it made me feel very uncomfortable. In addition, the dress was worn down. It was very dirty – grey rather than white. Many parts of the lace seemed to peel off. I got very upset. To me, it felt like I was given a completely different dress – possibly one that was no longer salable due to its poor condition. This was not the same dress I had purchased, and it definitely hadn’t been “cleaned”! I felt scammed, and if I hadn’t tried the dress back on, I think this would have been the end of the story.I complained. The store manager told me that the dress must have “shrank” during the cleaning. According to the manager, crepe material shrinks when it is exposed to heat. However, I am not sure how even a crepe dress would shrink two full sizes. I made my discontent very clear, and was very upset. I also mentioned that I felt scammed. I was prepared to request my money back, but the manager asked me to give them a week to fix the dress. She said that the in-house seamstress would be able to take out some of the material around the hips, and would be able to press the dress to make it longer again. I was skeptical but accepted the wait.A week later, I returned. The dress on the hanger was beautiful, white, high quality, like new. It was more beautiful and in better condition than the original sample gown. When I tried the dress on, it was again very long, and much too large. I don’t know how the dress could have transformed so much. From the first, to the second, to the third dress, I had the feeling that these were three different gowns and not the same gown. The third dress, to my satisfaction, looked like an entirely new dress to me. So, I took the dress home.Even though I received a beautiful dress in the end, I was very stressed throughout. I was nervous, upset, sad. I even thought of moving the wedding. I then purchased a last-minute backup dress from David’s bridal which I later sent back. But, the whole process was very taxing. I still am skeptical about what I was told. I do not trust this store. I feel like I was almost scammed, but that I was able to catch it and was therefore given a “the dress shrank” cover story.Concluding, stay away from both Musette Bridal/Boston Bridal Rack! But, if you do end up going there, be skeptical. If you purchase a sample gown, take it with you on your day of purchase. Don’t let them do “cleaning”. Don’t do your alterations with them. Don’t leave your dress out of sight. And, if something goes wrong, speak up! Don’t let yourself get bullied!Also, they gave me a quote of $600 for alterations. During my wait, I made some calls to tailors. I actually found a tailor (Le Couturier) who quoted $300. And, who knows what might happen when you leave your dress with them for alterations...

L'elite Bridal: An amazing selection of off-the-rack sample bridal gowns for amazingly discounted prices.

A Wu: I booked an appointment with this boutique a week in advance, left work early to be punctual, cancelled evening plans and surprise! They were closed. The lady came out of the store saying she has "a thing" to go to & no one can meet me. Another customer that I happened to meet downstairs also had rush out of work prematurely because they told her to pick her her drass up immediately. So if you want to get screwed with your appointments, this is the perfect place to come to.

Jacqueline Duren: Lena has been exceptional when it comes to helping me with my wedding dress. She is an expert with alterations and kind. I basically, made a dress out of a completely different dress and she stayed calm and got it done. The shop itself always made me feel comfortable and was upfront about pricing. I never once felt like I was unsure of something or unsatisfied. They are the absolute best. I highly recommend if you want to feel good and look great on your wedding day. Thank you Lena!

Julia Congdon: As you walk into the reception area, you're welcomed with skeptical glares. I had luckily made an appointment and was brought to a room in the back in which woman picked out dresses for me to try on. These dresses were sample size dresses that had been tried on, stained and overstretched. Prices tags were placed on these dresses that reflected their original value yet the salesperson insisted they were giving me a discount at $3k+

Beauty By Abby: I went here to find the perfect dress for my wedding. The ladies that work there were very nice, they let us bring our own wine for the bridal party. The problem were was the dresses I told the girl who was helping me what I wanted and what my budget was. She kept bring dresses that were way over budget and when I asked her about it she said don't worry about the price don't worry about it. That to me is crazy I kept telling her I don't want to try something, fall in love with it and then find out it's over my budget but she didn't seem to care. Also the alteration prices were almost as much as the dresses. Basically if you are looking for dresses that are modern and worth every penny go somewhere else.

Alyssa Bernstein: This location is not a dress store, it's a high-end accessory shop - they have jewelry and tons of gorgeous, unique veils. There are massive separate dressing rooms with space for a party to come with you, it is well-laid out, and they are incredibly nice and lovely - all in all, a great experience. Make an appointment and go!

Jane Tsuang: Had a fantastic bridal experience with my daughter at Copley location. We were able to browse the bridal collections, try on many dresses. It was a very relaxed appointment without pushy sales or rushing us through the appointment. The appointment was restricted to 2 guests, however, we were able to go back after dinner for other members of the family to see her favorite dress. We did end up saying 'YES' to the dress and also 'YES' to the mother of the bride gown! It was so much fun. I did asked about the negative reviews regarding alterations and previous customer complaints - Lindsay and Marelen were both very frank and honest about the challenges they had with resources, shipping, and scheduling through out the pandemic resulting in backlogs in dresses and alteration scheduling. I am confident that having ordered a dress more than a year in advance that we hope to minimize scheduling issues. Thanks for the team at Pronovias for making it a fun experience!

Angelo Rutigliano: The 1 star is for the Customer Service team based in Barcelona (Valentina). Long story short they do not allow returns/store credit after purchases, even if you realize 5mins after the purchase that Saks Fifth Avenue) sells the same product 50% less. BEWARE and take your time to verify prices somewhere else (even internet).

Katja Hall: I had a great experience at Pronovias both picking out my dress and with alterations. I had to reschedule a fitting and they were very accommodating. My dress was done on time and they helped me shoot a video of how to bustle it which made the wedding day a lot easier! I’m really looking forward to seeing what my dress looks like after the Second Life alteration!

I had already fallen in love with a particular Pronovias gown, and wanted to make sure it was 'the one' alongside my family members. Ruth showed us the original dress that inspired our visit, as well as several other dresses in a complete range of styles. She was patient, friendly, and well-informed about the gowns in the store. It was a wonderful experience all around for myself and my family. Would highly recommend as part of anyone's bridal journey!

Yi Guo: Becareful with using their booking system. They don't care if you got tested positive for covid. If you don't show up you get charged the $50 no show fee even if you cancel or reschedule the appointment.

Caroline Atwood: I had seven bridal appointments prior to Pronovias Boston and none were as helpful in finding my gown. My personal assistant (whose name I can't remember as it's been a few months) was fantastic in listening to what I wanted and providing styles which I asked to try on as well as other ones I might like. She also didn't stop the appointment at 90 minutes and really wanted me to get exactly what I wanted. I walked away with a stunning gown suggested by her but one that I would have never tried on myself. The staff also treated my mom with such kindness. It was such a win and I can't wait to rock my bridal look!

Julianne Bliss: I am set to get married in October and bought my dress in January. Both times I have had a scheduled fitting they called and asked me to move my appointment backwards to accommodate other people (today included and my second fitting was supposed to be Monday). I find this both completely nerve wracking and also very unprofessional. They mentioned they are moving me to accommodate a bride who is getting married this week and her dress isn’t even done yet! I also was told by one rep that she did not know why I was charged a fee by another rep. It seems like total chaos here. Not a fault of the reps but of management.If I knew this was going to be the case I would have gotten my dress somewhere else and I would recommend others do the same.I just hope to god my dress is ready for my wedding the way I want it to be! Not at all what I expected from Pronovias or how I wanted this experience to be.Update: I am getting married in one week and needed to go and take my dress from them and bring it to a new tailor to make sure that it gets done on time. I will be paying a rush fee and the condition of the dress when I picked it up was such that the new tailor needs to undo a lot of sloppy work and redo it. There were stains on the dress as well which now need to be cleaned. I am appalled at the customer service and overall management at this store. Appalled.Notice how the owner has commented on many of the five star reviews here but has actively avoided the negative ones of the ladies who had a bad experience with alterations ? This is how they treat clients when they mess up- by avoiding them. Shop somewhere else.

We arrived with high hopes and left feeling as though we’d been a burden. I’m actually glad Kels didn’t fall in love with a dress because I would not want to have to go back.

Sheryl L: I’ve tried on dresses at multiple price points and the dresses at Pronovias were the sweet spot between $2-3k. You can really feel the quality of these dresses and their designs are all flattering and beautiful. Ruth was instrumental in me finding my dress that weekend as she was incredibly helpful, patient, and accommodating. It’s also not a super high pressure sales environment which I personally really liked and appreciated in order to get clarity on selecting my top choice. The workers are very helpful and kind, not pushy at all and they put zero pressure on you to "hurry up and buy something" I'm only 20 getting married and it was my first time dress shopping and the worker made me feel very at ease and comfortable. She helped me zip/lace up the dresses but I really appreciated that they didn't push being in the dressing room with you when changing dresses because I was very nervous about that. They also have an impressive amount of options to customize your dress with bridal belts and shrugs. Very nice shop with very nice staff :) definitely recommend checking this place out!

Sarah Glatz: This unpretentious dress shop had a huge inventory. No appointments needed! The staff was friendly and helpful without being overly attentive. Specifically, Benditas was always nearby to help but not at all pushy. Perfect. I am a mom of bride. I tried on at least 20 dresses and walked out with the one a couple of hours later. There was a variety of styles and price points from $100-$400+. I would highly recommend this dress shop.

Ellen Grosh: Absolutely loved my experience at Consignment Bridal & Prom. There is more limited selection for small sizes than a huge warehouse bridal store, but I liked that a lot! It wasn't overwhelming, and I felt cared for and celebrated by the staff. Even for less selection, the variety was great! I had very different styles to try and found my perfect dress here! Couldn't be more thrilled with the purchase. After I purchased the dress over the phone, they were willing to hold it until I could pick it up. Such an accommodating place.

Lynn Walsh: Not good experience, same complaints as previous posters. Was asked 4 times within 3 minutes of walking in if I needed help finding something after already having said I was just browsing. It was literally like the Pretty Woman experience, comically so. We were followed constantly in store. Clothing was fine, nothing extraordinary by any means, rather small selection and no extraordinary pieces, rather low-end of high end stuff, a bit rummage sale quality which made the rudeness all that much more confounding. One of the strangest experiences I’ve ever had and would recommend avoiding at all costs. Go to NYC and hit any number of MUCH better HE consignments like What Goes Around Comes Around or someplace similar.

Timothy A. Bouley: Love this place. One of the few shops in the city where you can find men's consignment. The stock is diverse and impeccably maintained. The selection is smaller than a high-end department store or boutique, but because it's consignment, you'll find pieces from years past which don't exist on the current market. The Swedish owner is also lovely. Recommend.

L S: Great little boutique with some real gems. All items are second hand but the condition is excellent of the items. The prices (item dependent) are a little high on the re-sale front BUT good quality isn’t cheap and if you want to question the authenticity of your items you can always use the internet ☝🏼The owner is really knowledgeable and helpful as well.Would recommend if you like high end items but at a lower cost 😊

Ania Stasica: The most unwelcoming and uncomfortable shopping experience I've ever had. The owner is embarrassingly rude and unnecessarily disrespectful. I had to leave the store to hold back tears and anger. I just arrived to Boston on vacation and fell in love with a pair of sunglasses in the shop. I asked a few customers for their opinion as I was looking at color options, and they were kind enough to chat with me and share their thoughts. The owner kept sighing and mocking me, eventually laughing and getting angry, demanding I stop asking others for their opinions. For someone at such a mature age to behave like a child in front of customers is shameful. Another customer even glanced at the owner in distaste when she heard the way she was speaking to me. There are other upscale shops in the area with kind owners who don't make you feel small.

As my luck would have it, Glo was having a trunk show for that brand, so I had to check it out! I find my dream dress and Molly was so sweet and helpful throughout the process. She is a one-woman show and I cannot recommend her store enough. Glo carries some of the coolest, unique and most gorgeous gowns from sustainable designers. The shop is conveniently located, super cute and well appointed. Future brides- Glo Bridal is not to be missed!

I was a little worried that with my preferred budget (under $2000), my options would be very limited (wedding dresses are so expensive!!), but Molly had an AMAZING selection of Glo's brands and samples/consignment dresses that were at (or at least very near) this budget and they were all fantastic!! I have never felt more beautiful and elegant in a dress and there were several selections at Glo that were just stunning. It is going to be a very hard choice to decide which to pick!

Emma Hartswick: Molly was SO responsive, helpful, and kind both during and even before my appointment! She answered many questions over email and even got in two samples that she doesn't normally carry from a designer I was excited about so that I had a chance to try them on during my appointment. Her shop is comfortable and gorgeous with a great selection of dresses. As I was trying on, she had wonderful input about fabrics, silhouettes and possible modifications, and shared them in a way that was incredibly helpful without being overwhelming. Definitely check out Glo!

Carly Crocker: I had already purchased my dress elsewhere, but had Glo in mind for accessories (I would’ve gone dress shopping there too, had I not fallen in love with a dress at the first shop!). When my dress was suddenly backordered and the ship date pushed out several times, I made an appointment at Glo in search of a back-up dress option in a time crunch. Molly went the extra mile of reaching out to other local bridal shops to see if they happened to have an in stock version of my original dress which was so appreciated during my stressful moment. Fortunately, my dress ended up shipping just before my Glo appointment, but I still went in for accessory shopping. Molly was super helpful in showing various belt, earring, and hair accessories from her well curated, unique selection, and I ultimately went with an Emma Katzka belt which really brought my dress to the next level and made it absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend Glo Bridal to brides, whether it’s for a dress, accessories, or all of the above!

Colby Smith: Molly and her shop are amazing. I went into the appointment thinking I would not walk out with a dress, but Molly can make miracles happen! I ended up purchasing the first dress she put on me. We tried on a bunch of other dresses, but the fact that the first dress she pulled for me ended up being the one speaks to her skill of reading her client's style and vibe. It was a sample dress that I will need to alter, but for a girl on a tight schedule, being able to walk out with a dress was incredible. The shop is lovely and intimate, she has beautiful accessories to try with the dresses so you can envision a complete look, and the fact that Molly focuses on sustainability is just icing on the cake. They have the most gorgeous dresses, and Krystal was so friendly, helpful, and not at all pushy. I got to go through the racks twice and she also let me go through the stock room to see if we could find a discounted dress. She was very respectful of my budget and asked me if I was okay trying on every dress that was over budget, even if I had already okay-ed a dress that was even more expensive. She was efficient, gently gave me her personal opinion, and I could tell she really did want me to find the perfect dress whether I got it there or not.

Jillian Casey: I can't emphasize enough how great my experience was here. Going into this appointment, I had minimal expectations. I assumed I would just be trying on some dresses and leaving with a better "idea" of what I wanted. That's because I went to a different bridal shop for my first appointment and left very confused with little progress on finding a dress or even knowing what I wanted. When I showed up to Vows, I met Mandy and she literally made the whole thing such a special experience. I had ideas of what I liked but I didn't know how to articulate it and was very stressed about that. She helped me navigate all of this so well. I showed her a pinterest board I had made and she just GOT IT right away and knew what I was looking for without me needing to find the words. She was so invested in making it a special day for me whether I found my dress or not. She encouraged us to look around, ask questions, take pictures, gave us time to debrief privately - She made me feel very heard and reassured. Also she has so much energy and is so sweet (and hilarious) -- My mom, sister and I felt so comfortable with her immediately like we had known her forever. Seriously, I could cry writing this post!!! BIGGEST PART - I found my dream dress!!! If I hadn't had an appointment here, I truly feel that I would've been searching for much, much longer and potentially not have found what I was looking for. Although I didn't spend as much time with the other employees - everyone I did speak to at Vows was so sweet. We had a few questions after we left about delivery / ordering accessories etc. and have called back and they're so nice and accommodating each time. Overall, I wish I could give Vows (and Mandy) more than 5 stars. I encourage everyone who reads this (and will be encouraging all of my friends / family who are getting married) to go to Vows. You will not regret it!!

There’s so many options here, but make sure you give yourself plenty of time, some dresses take 8 months+ to be made (before alterations). Anyone could find their dress here. Highly recommend

Carley Ward: I had a great experience! My consultant was super helpful, the environment was very relaxed, and I found my gown no problem. The only annoying but was that although I had saved dresses to my account online to have pulled in advance, it didn't work and the consultant could not see what I had selected.

Loren Lachapelle: I had an extremely poor experience all around at Vows and definitely don't recommend. Wedding dress shopping should be a customized and memorable experience, but the only thing memorable was the bad customer service I received. On the shopping day, it felt extremely rushed, although I did decide on a dress at the end (though could have kept looking). When my time was up with the stylist, I felt as though I was being pushed out the door. But it was a busy day, and I understand they had to keep things moving. Fast forward to a few months later, my dress came in. I called to set up a pickup on a weekend day, as I am not local and live 3+ hours away. I simply wanted to try the dress on at pickup to see if it fit -- however, I was told I couldn't come until February if I wanted to try it on during a weekend day. Come on, this doesn't take more than 10 minutes, I thought to myself. I was frustrated and explained, again, that I'm not local and really need a weekend day. There was zero flexibility. I finally determined I'd have to take a day off from work if I wanted this dress before Feb. Fast forward again, I had a flight into Boston incoming on a Friday. I made the appointment at Vows for that afternoon to pick up/try on the dress. As it usually goes, the flight was delayed and I was cutting it close to get to Vows before they closed at 5:30. This whole time I was communicating with them, calling to say I was going to be late and/or there at the last minute. They were totally unwilling to stay open even a minute later for me to pick up my dress, even after I reminded them (again) I lived hours away. I called them when I was 0.1 miles away, stating I was stuck at a red light. The time was 5:27. They told me it was too late, they close at 5:30 no exceptions, and if I happened to get there, I would not be able to try on. I was very upset. When I got there at 5:29, the door was still unlocked thankfully, and they reluctantly let me try it on, however, the woman helping was clearly annoyed that she had to stay 4 minutes late. I thanked her for letting me try it on, stated how thankful I was for her time, apologized for being late, and also stated that I would have been disappointed if I had to drive home empty handed. The reply I got from that was "this will teach you to schedule these types of appointments on days that you travel, won't it." Totally unneeded and I was clearly just their biggest inconvenience of the day. Very very disappointed with the service I received and should have gone to a small shop in my home state.

Adrienne Jack: Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Mandy was my stylist and she is amazing. My mum and sister talked me into bridal shopping and I was skeptical I could get that excited about it, but Mandy’s energy was infectious! Vows is big so there were a lot of options but she pointed us in the right direction for my budget, understood my style straight away, listened to our feedback, and was honest with hers. The dress I chose was the first one I tried on! The sample was available to buy but I had another bridal appointment that day, and Mandy kindly kept the dress off the floor until I was ready to decide. When we came back to buy it we were helped by other staff who were also very patient, encouraging, and efficient. Liv even took the time to help me try on my dress again. We are very happy we chose Vows and feel very well taken care of by the genuinely passionate staff! 100% recommend

Megan Nowik: I had such an amazing experience with Vows finding my dream wedding dress! My group visited after a less than stellar appointment at a big box bridal shop and from the moment we walked in, I could tell Vows was different in all the best ways. My stylist, Liuba, instantly made me feel so comfortable, she listened, pulled some amazing dresses while also helping guide me to pick out a few on my own, and stayed with me the entire appointment. There were no limits on how many dresses I could try on, a huge selection, and such care taken to make sure I had a good experience. Liuba truly went out of her way to help me find the exact dress I was dreaming of within my budget and made me feel so special the whole appointment. She let me take my time and I never once felt any pressure from her. I can't recommend Vows enough and is definitely a must if you live in the area!

Carolyn: This place has pushy staff as noted in other reviews. They ask you to make a list online in advance of the appointment, but then tell you to go to the racks and start pulling dresses without any assistance from your consultant. No other bridal shop I’ve been to is like this. My consultant was absent for most of my appointment, rushing around doing anything but helping us. They do have many dresses but they all pretty much look the same. They didn’t end up having many dresses in styles I liked, and once the saleswoman realized a sale was slipping away, she started becoming pushy about dresses I was clearly indifferent about and pulling dresses that were way out of my specific requests, both style and budget. Their selection below $2500 is subpar. They basically pressure you into trying to make an appointment to come back if you don’t walk out of there with a sale after the appointment. Honestly the whole experience felt like I was working with a car salesperson. I went to 3 other bridal shops and all were far superior to this experience. Go literally anywhere else.

I liked bits and pieces of the dresses I had on my wishlist and she grabbed a dress at the last minute that had all the details I said I liked. Sam Romilly: I'll start by saying they had a great selection and booking an appointment was very easy! Their front desk staff were very nice.However, the whole experience here was anything but personalized. They did not have my 5 dresses on my wishlist pre selected as noted. When we were finally allowed to come inside, we were told to wander around and look at dresses until our consultant was ready for us, our consultant kept leaving us to do other things in the alteration department that half the time it was just me in the dressing room attempting to zipper and pull the dresses on.Vows felt much more of warehouse where you had to know what you wanted. I walked out without a dress. I would recommend to someone that doesn't need guidance and will not be overwhelmed pulling your own dresses.

I'm a 40-year old that never dreamed about a wedding, so when I saw all the dresses in white I nearly froze.While trying on some dresses I picked, Krystal listened to me and asked me questions -- and I think these were clues to her about what kind of dress would suit be best. This dress, Peyton-C by Enozani, was like it was made for me. It was the style that suits my everyday style, my love for old Hollywood glamour, and it suited my French wedding. The bow was also detachable so after dinner I removed it and danced the night away!My sister found her dress at Vows and so did I! They really listen and help -- and are super friendly. There is also a lot of social media accounts with dresses geared towards younger brides, and Vows had a great selection for those of us 40-something brides!Lastly, I had excellent experiences with all the staff members at Vows. Great work, ladies!
