General Assembly Boston: what do users think?
workout binod pro: No response from voicemail or email
Husain Al-Mohssen: Positive:ValueSome of my best employees came from here.
Juan Manuel Moreno: Your money is better spent on an actual accredited degree. They sell themselves on misleading students that you can get a job within 1-6 months. But, most of these "jobs" are not with their help, and are internships that end in 3-6 months, and then you are back on square one. Their "career coaches" are only concerned in keeping their "employment" rate up and don't really care about the students.
Samantha Mackowitz: Class was interesting but a little basic for what I was looking for! Great space and teacher though.
Lloyd Whyte: Location location location.
Brad: Initially I was really excited to take a class at GA. I had been taking online classes for Data Science (Not from GA), and I thought and in person class room environment was the next step to push me to the next level.Expectations: I thought we would review material, take notes, work on examples together, have access to a deeper understanding the the instructor could provide. Be assigned homework and then review that homework together. A more structured environment, similar to a college level class.Reality: The class starts with a 20ish minute instruction of that days lesson. Then remaining time of the 3 hours is spent working on a practice lab and during that time you are allowed to ask questions. There is not enough time to complete the lab, but I expected to have homework. The notes are not easily laid out and I directly asked on multiple occasions to the instructor and TA where in the notes certain things were that pertained to the homework, which they couldn’t find and directed me to Google, and responded with, “the notes could have been written and organized better.” It was a big frustration that many in the class shared.I wanted to spend the time in class working on material and going over lessons, then do homework on my own time. I reached out to the success team and said this was not what I had expected and what my options were. The options were to drop the class for a partial refund or speak with the instructor. Since I was only going to get a partial refund I wanted to stay with the class. At the end of each class you can leave feedback, so I left feedback about how I thought the class went. In the next class the instructor pulled me into a private meeting and asked why I left poor feedback, I was a little surprised I was singled out from my feedback since it’s required. But It was an opportunity to express my frustrations. I explained how I felt the current way the class is taught is no different than an online class. We ended with agreeing to disagree because the instructor said this was the way it was and nothing changed. The instructor told me to be a little more greedy in the questions time since a few students seemed to monopolize the time, so I did feel like he cared and wanted to try and help me more.Eventually we had a TA come in and help with the class, which was great because there were more options to ask questions. And I found that the TA did a much better job explaining the work and lessons. But that didn’t happen for the entire class, I would say only about 30% of the class near the end.Wrote my initial review about how disappointed I was with the class and GA reached out to me and tried to resolve it, I said I had already reached out once before and they respond they thought it had resolved itself. They offered me a free bootcamp class, but I didn’t want to take anymore classes from GA, they offered me a partial refund which I accepted. One of my complaints, which I made to the Instructor and the student success team and the TA was that if my questions are not answered and I’m Googling so much, why did I pay to come the class? That was the reality, the cost didn’t merit what the class provided. While I liked that the student success team tried to help resolve the issues, there really isn’t anything they could do .Final Thoughts: The class is not worth the cost, maybe it was related to this specific class, but I didn’t feel the lessons were thought out well or explained well. I wish I had spent the money on online courses and had I been offered a full refund to drop after my initial complaint near the start of the class I would have accepted and left and used that money elsewhere.
Laura Aguirre: Whenever I try to get information or go to an info session they are not the friendliest bunch actually kind of rude.
Kamal Hans: Best way to stay up to date with the technology and marketing industry. They partner with industry experts and give you the best.
Keezer: A minimalist space for creative classes.

North Bennet Street School: what do users think?
faiyaz ahmad: Excellent
Viet Phan: I’ve been in the Locksmithing program since September 2020 and have had an awesome experience thus far. Rob Dwyer is very personable and was extremely helpful throughout my entire application process. Bob at the front desk and Kristen at the gift shop are super nice people and I look forward to coming in every morning and greeting them. The program head, Barbara Baker, is an amazing teacher and has taught me so much in so little time. She takes the training very seriously and not only expects you to put out the best work that you possibly can, but she will motivate you to do so. Through her instruction, I have gained a large amount of confidence in myself and my abilities both in and out of locksmithing. My time at the school has gone so well that I made the choice to apply for their carpentry program and continue growing my skillset here.
Bennett Locke: I can’t speak to the quality of their woodworking programs. Yet, I can speak at LENGTH about the Locksmith and Security Technology program offered under instructor Barbera Baker.. I endured. This class should be called "Locksmithing: a History from 1800-1980"Barbara Baker knows her history, and that's about it. She knows almost nothing about modern locks that are the current industry standard. I am employed in the field not because of her but in spite of her.Rob O is a handful of gimmie and a mouth full of much obliged.Claire Fruitman is there to protect her instructors, not help students.Avoid this place like the plague.
ca6 Andrew Draper: I would give 10 stars if I could. From day one meeting Rob ( admissions) to tour the school( pre Covid) to now 4 months into my Carpentry program everyone has been absolutely incredible at helping me achieve my goals and get better at what I absolutely love doing - Carpentry and woodworking. I have never been part of such an amazing community where we are driven and connected by our passion to create things by hand and learn as much as possible from our amazing instructors who are a sea of knowledge and help each other. Yes standards are high but for anyone who's into their craft that's not an issue. You show up early, do your work, be responsible and respectful. NBSS is preparing you for the real world. Don't think twice about applying - it will change your life and open your world to an incredible community of craftsmen and craftswomen.
Brandon Ekhator: Love it
Marlena DeBeliso: If college isn't for you, like it wasn't for myself, check out this trade school!! Everyone here is very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient.
Will Perkins: An amazing school with an amazing faculty. I cannot speak for all the programs, but I know that all the piano faculty is completely dedicated to helping students succeed and thrive. I hear the same thing when I speak with students in other programs. Love this school!
Kevin Faherty: Hands on training.
Torunn Thorvaldsen: Such a great experience to go here. The best time of my life.
kris faller: This place is so good... if they will take you, go.
A. P-Svensson: We leave unmolested those who set the fire to the house, and prosecute those who sound the alarm. --Sebastien-Roch Nicolas De ChamfortI would gladly submit to a lie-detector test to support all statements in this review.North Bennet Street School has now had more than five years to offer a peaceful truce to this dispute. They have chosen instead to sit silently or offer weak excuses. As a result, their unwillingness to resolve this issue has fostered hatred, rancor, and malice against me on the part of their "happy" and "successful" graduates and clientele. One has to look no further than the rebuttals to my reviews to see how this reviewer has been portrayed (by people who are ignorant of the facts of this dispute) as stupid, unreasonable, incapable, and possessing a host of other undesirable traits. As I continue my training and form relationships with colleagues and with skilled, award-winning and highly respected artisans and craftsmen in the field, they are impressed by my work ethic, enthusiasm, determination, ability and dedication to this craft. When I share with them my bitter experiences with NBSS, they are shocked and appalled that an institution with "such a good reputation" would behave in such a shameful manner. This "charitable", "philanthropic", tax-exempt, non-profit corporation, whose mandate is to benefit the community and stand out as a beacon for what is just and what is right, has failed miserably in this regard. Proof of one's character is in one's deeds. Their hurtful words and deeds will stand in perpetuity as a witness against them. NBSS's own actions will forever point an accusatory finger at its self.Quoting someone who has completed a similar course, he/she stated, "Any school worth anything will know that to achieve perfection in a jewelry piece is to work long hours after the teaching is over. The fact that they did not allow you to take the work home is ridiculous." I was not allowed to take the work home, not allowed to stay adequate after-hours to work in the studio, and not allowed to hire even a school-approved tutor (even at my own expense) to complete my projects. This commenter goes on to state, "One of the first lessons in jewelry school was that you will be painfully slow at first, and that speed will only increase with practice and repetition." This is a concept NBSS' instructors and administrators simply could not seem to grasp.I don't doubt that others have had wonderful experiences with NBSS. I too have read about the stellar successes of others after the completion of their courses there. I wrote this review to speak of MY experience. MY complete disillusionment and betrayal.

JVS Boston: what do users think?
Assia EL Ouazzani Touhami: I’m really so grateful to this organization
Anthony McAlpine: Beautiful establishment with different companies residing within
Abbe Neumann: JVS is totally disorganized and unreliable. I was quickly given an intake interview and was told that I would be accepted into a certain program. I waited for a phone call from someone to simply just set up an appointment to discuss further on how they could help me. I was called from a number that came up as a scam number. Once I listened to the message it was JVS telling me they would call again the next day they were open. No one called me for days and I kept calling and emailing (this was after I got an email that they closed my account) only to have the original person I was working with make me feel like I was annoying them. I asked them to email me because my phone is very unreliable for communication and was assured I would be emailed. I received a text that said, "Sorry we missed you again," and never received an email. The guy finally calls (yup, calls) me and tells me he called the wrong number (what, no you didn't) and tells me that I don't qualify for the program. They set me up with a meeting the next week to enroll in SNAP so I could enroll in the other program and the person never even showed up AND the original guy never emailed me the documents I was supposed to sign. I emailed again, and again stated emailing is the best way to get ahold of me and they still called first (eventually emailing). I now have to have an appointment with SNAP on top of everything else I have going on (I'm post-surgery) and they're providing no help to me in the meantime. You'd be better off doing things on your own, this place is a waste of time and resources.
do ri: Excellent..but some things here are more expensive than other places
Kiara Rebeca Teles dos Santos: Eu sou eternamente grata por ter a JVS na minha vida. The best teachers and the best coaches.
J Harrison: Unfortunately the place is still closed going on the website is a pain to use so few openings so my opinion they should just stay closed they are a great organization it's just right now if you can't even get your website to work well with appointments just close everything until you do
Hulki Capen: 5 years ago I asked them for help finding a job. I don't want to prolong. I have been to this address and to the different addresses they gave me many times. but they did nothing. I got parking tickets while I was there 😞 and I didn't have money to pay. But now, thank God, I have a Business and 10 employees by working myself with the help of God. Now i'm buying a my second home. Good luck everyone.
Mercedes Nunez: Horrible! I applied for cna program, after going through interview process and waiting for simple responses from “ recruiter” , I had to chase down and call them and continually ask them is there anything else they need, then they asked for extremely specific routines on how I would get to classes and eta and when I asked what was the purpose for this, they just kept saying it’s a part of their enrollment process then said SHE didn’t feel as if I qualified for the program which felt discriminatory against me being a mom. Then I called their supervisor to get some more clarity on why they needed such specific and invasive information and they just kept repeating the same thing. Just go somewhere else because they don’t want to loose their pipeline contract with Spaulding if you don’t give them invasive information.
Greenie Witch: My friend did the CNA Program here in JVS. Really good people and a quality learning experience delivered to her. Need more programs like these around the nation.
Menuka Tamrakar Tamot: So nice hospitality & all so much helpful staffs
roxy Work life: No good at all .
Genet Chiuqala: I am extremely happy to share my experiences since I joined the Bridge to College offer from JVS. It is a great place to start for those who want to look for a better life.I experienced a program prepared to strongly enforce students' ability to maximize our learning skills . Instructors, career coaches and all staff look at students to help us get ready for transitioning to Community College. Special teachers Margaret and coache Sharon there are not enough words to thank them . They are very kind and helpful and….JVS not only helps us get a better life, it also makes us a better and stronger person to continue to succeed!
alan truong: Best program ever
l s: The free Pharmacy Technician program is deceptively advertised. JVS is merely interviewing repetitively to no avail. After being asked aggressively a number of personal questions I received criticism and silence in return. The Pharmacy Technician start date came and silence. The people that I encountered at JVS were nosey and merely take advantage of hard up people by Zoom asking repetitive personal questions by different people. Examples of nasty though nosey JVS people are Sophie, Diana and their aggressive supervisor. JVS is a waste of time merely incompetent Quacks
William Lu: Discriminatory practice in their VITA program!
Joe Frazier: JVS helped me with my resume , filed my taxes and has been very helpful with getting me back to work . The Staff is helpful and always polite .
Shallom Shallom: Positive:Professionalism
Ryma Farhi: Positive:Quality
ISABEL ALVES DA SILVA: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Kel Moy: Fer all walks o life JEWISH VOCATIONAL SERVICES HAS GOOD JOBS PREPARES PEOPLE THROUGH WORKSHOPS. I WAS FEELING OUT OF PLACE DURING THE LAST INFORMATIONAL SESSION DIDNT WANT TO INTRODUCE MYSELF. IM THE STUDENT DIRECTOR AND TECHNICIAN @ THE AMERICAN CRYONICS SOCIETY WE ARE STARTING AN OFFSHOOT LOCATION LOCSLLY IN BRAINTREE.I LIKE WORKING NEED TO TYPE PRINT FAX MY RESUME. My thyroid was low little things like thatI almost got a job for MassHealth thru JVSThis is a good resource I’m referring homeless friends this way.Thay ain’t condescending or mean to anyone @ JVS
julia brown: I wouldnt even give them a one cause there is a program i wanted to do but since english is first language they said no wow thats sad do you care about people who are disabled to probbaly not this is lame place
