Men in Motion New England - Parties & Revue Strip Club: what do users think?
Maddy Lynn: I planned a surprise bachelorette party for my sister before she gets married next month. Pleazure came out to our Airbnb and we had such a great time!It was all of our first times having a male entertainer and he made it so much fun while still keeping it professional. The music he was playing just made it even better! Very happy with the entire experience ! I would give more than 5 stars if I could haha!
Natasha Ouimette: We had Matt and Dominic perform at a bachelorette party in Portsmouth NH. They were amazing! Some of the girls were nervous at first but they were patient and respectful and by the end of the night we were all laughing and having an amazing time! Would definitely recommend Men in Motion for a unique experience with the girls!

Royale: what do users think?
Izzy Gwen: Got spiked in October of 2021. Don’t recommend
Danielle Betz: All the bouncers are on a major power trip, turned a lot of people away. Kept asking everyone how much they had to drink including myself. End of the night they literally pushed people out of the venue and scream at people who are waiting for Ubers to leave. Ive never had another venue yell at people for standing outside.Cons: no ac, bouncers and security suck, overpriced drinks and 2 drink minimum for credit cardsPros: venue looks nice and good sound quality
golfinmang: Andy Shauf show, first time at the Royale and it was awesome!
Emily Hunter: pretty nice venue. the rules for this venue are strange though. they didn’t let me in over some slides. so beawareeeeee.
Cohavit Gil: It sucks to have to write a negative review on this place bc I’ve seen some cool shows here and I’ve had fun here. But as another reviewer mentioned, the line to get in to MEDUZA on 3/31 was atrocious. I get management wanting to keep a line outside to make it look ‘popular’ or whatever, but this was excessive. Or maybe the management team is simply inexperienced (they recently made a ton of new hires) and they were understaffed and underprepared for a sold out show. Whatever the reason, we spent longer outside waiting than inside seeing the show! Even MEDUZA said something about the line when the dude got on stage. Not cool, Royale!
Holly Reyes: Royale is so nice, I went for my first time to see Jukebox The Ghost and was very pleased . Plenty of parking in the area. Park at tufts and it's right across the street. Staff was really nice.
Cindy: I haven't had such a bad experience until tonight (Friday, 3/31/2023). We waited in line in freezing light rain for over an hour to get inside which was at 12:20am. We had $40 pre-purchased tickets. And at one point while waiting in line, there was a very rude power-tripping security guy telling us to make way for the entrance doorway to which seemed like an apartment. A girl and her friend who have been waiting in line behind me with her friends left the line for a minute. The same security guy told them they can't "cut" the line when they weren't. He said he didn't see them leave the line so it didn"t matter. A guy not from the group said she and her friend had waited in line for a while, too. But he didn't take that info. One of the girl's friends tried telling the security guy the two had waited, but the guy threatened the friend about not getting back in the line instead. So the girl and her friend couldn't get back in line. Ridiculous power-tripping going on that night with that one security guy. He was disgusting. The dj was great and the drinks were good though.
Brian Nguyen: What a great venue. Two stories, multiple bars, multiple dj locations. Looks tiny when entering, can easily miss the entrance sign.
Shon Baranov: First time in a night club in my life and it was the best experience ever. Staff was very nice and helpful of any people that couldn't control themselves. I came twice to the nightclub. Friday night for the discord event and Saturday night for PAX appreciation party hosted by the Royale. Bouncer or security that was standing near the washrooms was very friendly and the females working at the coat check were the best. I would recommend this night club for your events and with great DJs playing great music.
Lily Freyer: Usually have a good time here, asked for a cup of water and the bartender got upset with me and took a dirty cup someone had brought up to the bar and filled it with water and tried to give it to me. Not sure why she was so upset as I was purchasing actual drinks at the same time. Gross AF
Mahak Bhatia: Very bad experience with this place. This is the worst club I have ever seen in Boston.
Jacqueline Rounds: I had just left royale and was finding an Uber home. I was alone, as a woman, waiting for the car to pick me up. I was asked to leave the area and I graciously explained that as I woman I do not feel comfortable leaving the spot I was in because it’s very unsafe, especially the area I was in. The security guard told me that he does not care about that and that I have to leave the area nonetheless. I understand the circumstances but one woman standing alone waiting for an Uber is not a problem and to neglect my own saftey is a real problem with clubs like this. I was once roofied here as well. I thought that things have changed but apparently they have not. Do better.
Shirl Kasanovich: Fun place if you don’t mind being packed in like sardines in a hot can…NO seating.
Arpit Jain: Pretty cool experience seeing a concert here
mena salame: Extremely disrespectful and racist. Was asked if i was “from here” three times by a staff member.
Hannah: Concert Security is really bad. I was front row at a concert and some lady started assaulting me. It caused a scene but no security in sight. They also didn’t direct crowd surfers so people where just lost at the front of the stage. They weren’t wearing uniforms so I honestly had no clue if they even HAD security. Very disappointing :/
Anthony: Good venue.
Anna K: Had a fun night out here.
Anna Marshall: The music was not good and our vip section with bottle service took 30-45mins for a drink. It’s a beautiful space but the service was extremely unfortunate.
Yousif Alani: Worst place ever.
T: A bit expensive for the music played inside. It is mostly crowded, but people inside are correct, I would say.Unfortunately, it is not that easy to get a drink since there is a long queue which can take 10–15 minutes until you can finally order your drink. The good point is that there are several security agents who are helping you if needed.3 stars that could be 4 stars without the queue for alcohol.

Urbanity Dance: what do users think?
Bridget Coogan: My daughter took Urbanity dance classes and it is the way dance lessons SHOULD be. They classes are fun and great exercise. The communication and admin processes were all really smooth too, which I really appreciate as a parent.
jennifer young: Awesome, steps, dancing with to different types of music.
JOSE AGUILAR: Love the class options and learning structure. Great place to level up the dance skills!
Cecile Braun-Jones: We live urbanity dance! So much so that after moving out of the city and trying other studios we decided it was worth the commute to come back to urbanity. The faculty is super.niceThey know their students and can advice an class placement. Our daughter loves all her classes there and it has h lord her maintain a positive body image as well.I also love that urbanity is involved in so many community programs and committed to make dance accessible to everyone.
Shawn Fitzgibbon: Great location! Excellent for more than just a rehearsal space. The atmosphere and intimacy adds to the experience of whatever you're working on. Will definitely use this space again.
Ryan Nevel: Urbanity is wonderful. Almost everyone I have interacted with is down to earth and professional. I took the summer beginner contemporary class with Dorothy Cherry—Wow! We met once a week for 10 weeks and I looked forward to every class. She is a natural teacher and a highly gifted dancer. Her classes flow with a beautiful mix of creativity, laughter, expression and skill building. There is also a sort of magical, spiritual element to her style that is very special. I look forward to taking more classes at Urbanity, especially with Dorothy.
Siris Matei-Zsok: Had a terrible experience with them, and now I am also $100.00 lighter, it might not be much for some people, but for a single mom is food for more than a week. Will never ever consider!
starkia benbow: Best place to dance young and old. If your looking for summer camp, dance school, for the fall log on and sign up. If you you dont want to dance but want to check out the web site please do urbanitydance and give a donation to help our scholarsip fund.I'm taking 3 adult classes now for the summer 10 week sessions and having so much fun. 🤗😁💃🏿💃🏿
David Karger: Best dance class in Boston!
Uriel Sepulveda: Nice place
Kayla Kirk: I looked into Urbanity on a whim when I met some instructors at a neighborhood block party. Two years later, I have taken classes in both contemporary and hip hop and am now a part of their adult dance crew. Urbanity's instructors are incredible artists and I'm lucky to be learning and honing my dance skills from them. The community is also great and I've made many friends from my classes.
Alyssa McBryar: I've always had an interest in dance but little formal class experience. I'm so glad I went for it in signing up for 2 10 week Hip Hop sessions. I absolutely LOVED my Urbanity experience with Jessie Alegria. She's absolutely amazing. The environment challenging, but more importantly: comfortable and empowering. Highly recommended for new and experienced dancers alike. The program director, Alison, is extremely responsive and professional, making the process easy and painless. I tell everyone who will listen that they should check Urbanity out.
Nick Botchan: I've been dancing at Urbanity in their adult 10-week sessions for a year and continue to be impressed and inspired by the organization. Instructors are top notch, both technically and in terms of fostering a great community within the classroom. I never expected to get so into dance, but through Urbanity it's slowly taking over my life.
Julie McCarthy: Incredibly fun, welcoming, supportive and energetic atmosphere. The teachers are great and the classes are at convenient times.
Joyful Clemantine Wamariya: Beautiful space & kind people

Dance Complex: what do users think?
Kyle Johnson: Not so hidden gem
Duckenson Castel: So much have changed here. Recently started taking classes and I love it. Bathroom are kept clean, it's super easy to take classes here. You do have to sign in with the instructors online or walk-in and pay in person. Would absolutely recommend you create an account on mind and body, follow the in-person schedule and go from there. Majority of the studios are very spacious as well. The staff is super awesome and amicable, which makes you want to keep coming back. And I love how they started incorporating mindfulness practices before/during majority of the classes. And a wide variety of dance genres and cultures.Overall great experience, love this place.
Phil Cohen: Dance Complex is awesome. Try capoeira
Kirsten Williams: Positive:Professionalism,Quality
Sarah B - she her: Positive:Communication,QualityWelcoming, inclusive dance studio in the heart of Cambridge. Instructors are qualified, skillful dancers and encouraging teachers. I always feel safe to push past my comfort zone here.
Gustave Laflare: Critical:ProfessionalismThis place is stealing people’s money and refuse to refund your money. AVOID GOING THERE!
Lisa Fusaro: Amazing so much fun. Natalie was awesome. Thank you so much
Londyn Korol: Reminds one of stereotypical, old fashioned dance studios with winding wooden stairs and exposed brick. Lovely building. A couple weird spots in the Studio 3 floor but nothing crazy. Easy to find, bike rack out front, lots of street parking.
brian cooper: Positive:Communication,Professionalism
Shanelle S: Three-floored community with a variety of dance classes. Came here on a Saturday for an impromptu Samba dance class at 1:30pm. It’s just one stop away on the red line from Harvard, so it’s a convenient option for students. It’s $15 for the samba class, but they’ll take cash and credit card. There’s a Santander right across the street if you need an ATM, since some of the classes are cash only. Note for Bank of America cardholders, there is a $3 ATM fee. There is a gender neutral bathroom availableThe 1:30-3pm Samba class was super fun. It was my first time doing Samba, but the teacher was super energetic and there are plenty of other beginners so you don’t have to feel awkward. You can put your stuff on the right hand side along the wall, and there’s plenty of mirror space so you can watch yourself shake it. There were people of all ages and it was good vibes all around. It started with a warm up and then payment, and then the actual Samba class. There was even a live band that played while we danced. At the end, there was a dance circle and everyone left sweaty but happy. The dance center overall is a cool spot and you can try out a number of different dance styles and classes no matter what age you are. I noticed on the bulletin board they have kid classes as well.
Tonya Lockwood: “ Afro Flow yoga is lit.” Andrew, 11 years old.
Rocephin W: The staff was very friendly.
Rohan Patel: Great location but not really great from inside.Good:1) the location. Right into Central square connecting to bus and train.2) price and classes: thrle salsa class I got deal on Groupon had 50% off and the instructor is super amazing.Bad:1. The entire building is super old. Not enough space for crowd waiting for next class, the bathrooms smells worse than public restrooms. And changing rooms are joined with those smelly toilets.2. Noise: People out from other classes are totally inconsiderate of other classes going and make so much noise that almost impossible to listen to your instructor. Sadly management doesn't care about it3. Building quality: building is not meant for dance classes as the windows shake due to dancea going on a floor above you and the noise of footsteps are completely distracting. Will I consider going for a class next time?Yes. If I get 50% off deal then I will.No. If I am paying good amount of money for the classes.
Mahala Burn: I find that the Dance Complex feels like the local community centers of my childhood- a bit ramshackle, but very functional for its purpose and full of friendly people of all ages, shapes, and backgrounds. It serves in a way an Equinox would never want to. Over the years, I've taken Haitian, West African, Nia, and Modern here and felt I was in a safe and supportive environment to move and express myself. The instructors are widely varied yet consistently skilled and inclusive, and for most classes there is great flexibility for dropping in when you are able given challenging work or personal schedule demands. I would definitely recommend if you feel you are lacking in community and/or need to find a place to move without judgement.
T: Amazing...full of culture good people and fun
Jenna Sunshine: The Dance Complex is great! They're a nonprofit organization that's really into keeping performing arts alive. It's a big place with a great vibe. There's a very comfortable down to earth atmosphere, and although there are advanced dancers there, you can be brand new to dance, and/or be older or heavier and you WON'T feel awkward there. Most of the classes and students are beginner to intermediate. There's a huge variety of classes offered there & you can view the class schedule on their website. Most of the class rooms are rented out by the hour to various instructors or companies, so you'd most likely be paying the instructor or their assistant. I point this out because people frequently ask why they can't sign up online. So the instructor is renting the room, and the students are paying the instructor, NOT the Dance Complex. I suggest you look at their schedule online and if you see a class you're interested in, click through to the description and you'll see how to sign up and whether a class is drop-in or session based. If the class you're interested in is a drop in class, then don't worry about the logistics of signing up & paying in advance, just show up, bring cash with you, and the instructor or their aide will help you & get you all set up. If you have any interest in dance but you're nervous because you have no experience, then THIS is the place to go! If you are new to dance, don't worry, you won't walk into a scary environment with professional dancers everywhere looking at you; instead you'll see many beginners, and people of all different sizes, races, ages and no one there is judgemental. Dance on!
Pasqualino Ferralis: Excellent dance school of various genres, excellent teachers
Stephanie Ruiz: I don't hate it or like it i love it
Yi-Hsin Lin: Great place to learn dance. The atmosphere is very laid back. You just show up and pay the teacher directly. Sometimes the price is a little different than what's stated on the website though.Every teacher has been very friendly and supportive, even if it turns out their class isn't the right style/level for you. Classes seem to have regular crowds attending, so the class does progress over the course of the semester while remaining friendly to drop-ins. Highly recommended!
Peter Galvin: The nexus of dance in Boston/Cambridge. Love the classes and the dance community centered here. It's a gem of life in the city.
Adee C: Idk why someone said that the bathrooms small cuz it doesn't and is actually SUPER neat. Everyone is really nice and supportive. The classes are killers! Totally recommend~👍

House of Blues Boston: what do users think?
Elisabeth Noel: Lots of room, 3 bars, and an upstairs. Fast and efficient staff, friendly bartenders and absolutely sick light set up. Sound is super high quality and it's near lots of great convenient parking.
e frizzie: so so so so so so so so SO beautiful! worth your while. the bathrooms are gorgeous aswell. setting makes me wanna bust a move.
Robbie Frost: I've been to a few shows here and it's becoming one of my favorite venues. The floor is great, with nice spots on either side to lean against a rail or pillar. The box seats are a really nice experience, very comfortable and a killer view.
MA: I would just like to give Jenn aka Big Mama a huge shout out. My friend had diabetes & needed some assistance & she went out of her way to accommodate us. Thank you for being a great person & helping when most wouldnt!
Jonathan Keller: It’s a scam. Selling mezzanine floor concert tickets with no view of the stage
Erin Rauch: The place is great! Staff is welcoming and friendly. Big enough for lots of people but didn’t feel overly crowded. My only complaint is that when were were leaving, my husband and son had nice big cups of ice water with them that they were given at the concessions, which was nice to have after being in a slightly crowded room cheering and singing along to the music. The first person at the exit said as long as it was just water it was fine to bring them. The lady we saw next just grabbed them from my husband and son and said we couldn’t have them. Didn’t even give us a chance to say anything. Really rubbed us the wrong way as it could have been handled much better. We’ll only be back if it’s an epic show.
Carolyn Turner: Barely of age “security” girls who look like they have never had a sip of alcohol, itching to kick people out. Shame on you
Ayan Chatterjee: Saw a lot of rock and metal musicians here: Slash, Periphery, Veil of Maya, Jason Bonham, Spiritbox, Intervals, After the burial, to name a few. The sound system is decent. Sometimes the vocals aren't properly balanced.
Lawrence Hernandez (Larry): as most reviews say try to get the floor tickets if you can try to go early to get the railing on the other floors. I got the floor tickets and was great for me. just remember floor best if not get there early for the rail.
Ben Wiener: They way oversold this show. I'm pretty tall and it was impossible to see.
Josi Araújo: Recentemente fui ao show de Djavan e gostei muito do lugar. Organizado, limpo, staff gentil. Nada a reclamar!
Natalie Cunningham: Terrible experience. I don’t even know where to begin with this place. The manager was extremely disrespectful when he came over to our table holding my ID in his hand after our waitress carded my friends & I after we placed our drink order. He had bent my license almost completely in half, claiming that “other licenses don’t do this” and “they aren’t supposed to bend this much.” He had to forcefully bend my license an extreme amount, just to try to prove some kind of point. To me, this was completely uncalled for. I’m 25 years old and was dressed very conservatively. By no means do I look like an underaged teen trying to use a fake ID. Now, I’m going to have to go out of my way & pay money out of my pocket to fix my license due to the idiotic actions caused by the manager. On top of that, both himself & the waitress did not offer any sort of compensation whatsoever. No sense of sympathy. 0/10 will not be coming back here.
Jamal Gaston: Wezzy f baby
Kristina Kowalik: Intimate venue. Was great!
John Caruso: Awesome venue!
John Kelley: Venue staff are 10/10. I hope they enjoyed hosting Infected mushroom.
Елена Кара: Always a pleasure to come for concert!
Antwan Baldwin: Food was great along with drinks. Lil Wayne concert 🔥🔥🔥
brian trivitt: House of rules
Trie Michaud: As a short person, if you don’t get there early to get rail space you should just leave if you were hoping to actually see the live band.
Shamika Blunt: Such a dope vibe! You have to visit the Foundation Room. It's a restaurant lounge connected to the venue. OMG!!!

Cecilia S: Lobster roll, de best!! Waitress was great too on April 27.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Patricia Sánchez-Connally: Tried to have a meal here and service was terrible. Waited half hour and no one bothered to even bring us water. Two servers kept going to the same three tables while the rest of us kept trying to get their attention. When I called the manager over he didn’t even bother, just yelled “I said ok!” Ended up leaving and going to Bell in Hand where they treated us like customers. Never again.
Julia P: Pretty good lobster options! Slightly overpriced as other places offered more lobster of higher quality for same price or less. Staff were friendly and service was quick. Nice interior decor.Recommended dishes Maine Lobster Roll …More
Mia Cocheo: Don't go here unless you want to be body shamed and harassed by the bouncer (bouncer shown in the attached photo). I haven't witnessed this type of bullying since middle school. I watched the bouncer tell a woman that she's "too fat for her age" then he proceeded to pour rain water (from the umbrella above) all over her head. I wish I was making this up. The way the staff treats people here is discriminatory and pure evil. On top of the horrible treatment I witnessed, I thought the food might be their only redeeming quality until I found a piece of hair in my meal- mind you: I have a shaved head. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
Elizabeth Swastek: We had 1 drink and we were going 100% at karaoke since we were on vacation. They claimed we were too drunk and refused to serve us at first. When we tipped $0 because they were being rude, they kicked us out saying we had too much to drink. Such a bummer. The karaoke person was great and was fun! Wasn’t happy with the staff and wouldn’t go again.
Audra Moore: mid bar, weird selective wait to get upstairs, kicks everyone out at 1:30 despite saying open until 2, music is same as bell in hand but slightly shorter wait to get upstairs
Stephen B: Club at night time. Loud music and good drinks. Was pretty packed but that's what I expected late night Boston . I would not go at night if you don't like the crowd or loud music. The dance floor was big and nice all around. I'd come back if I was in the area.Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More

Koltun Ballet Boston: what do users think?
Robin Ross: Our 12th grade daughter has been a student of Alex and Alexandra’s for almost 5 years. In that time, we have watched her ballet training sky rocket. She dances in the Level 7 pre-professional group, and the school was transformative for her. Aside from the stellar training, the care and knowledge she has received from her coaches and teachers, she has made life long friendships with other ballet students she spends her afternoons and weekends dancing with. Our daughter is pursuing a dance career, and we feel that there is no other school in the area that could provide her with the training and resources to successfully achieve her goals. Five years ago we put our trust in Koltun, and we have not be disappointed! If you are looking for a rigorous program where your dancer will participate in classical and contemporary performances and competitions such as YAGP and UBC, as well as receive the highest level of technique and training, our opinion is to look no further.
MC N: QUALITY AND CARING PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTION FOR SERIOUS DANCERS - If you are reading this review, it is likely you are searching for a ballet school that is right for you. You may be looking for your child’s first ballet school, or thinking of moving from your current school. We found Koltun when looking to move. Our daughters entered Koltun’s level five and six after spending years at a big-name ballet school. While our former school had an admirable children’s program, it became evident that it was not teaching our daughters at the highest level as they progressed. Our previous school was associated with a professional ballet company, but none of its students were being selected to be in their pre-professional program. That raised eyebrows. If the school could not prepare its own students for success in its own company, why were we there? We looked to see where the students who were being selected were coming from. They were coming from Koltun. We decided to give Koltun a try. At first, we just dabbled by attending Koltun’s seven-week Summer Intensive Youth Program. The Koltun dancers were extremely flexible and more advance en pointe. In just seven weeks, our daughter noticeably improved. We decided to stay.Koltun is a school for dancers who are serious about classical ballet and modern dance, and want to perform and compete at the highest levels. Ms. Koltun herself was trained in classical ballet from legendary Kirov stars such as Irina Kolpakova, Tatiana Terekhova and Sergei Berejnoi. She was a principal dancer at Boston Ballet, and has toured Russia, Lithuania and Ukraine with the San Francisco Ballet. Ms. Koltun and her staff are passionate about dance.Koltun’s school seems to have stemmed from her successful and popular workshop on stretching called “Alexandra’s Ballet Stretch” which can still be viewed on YouTube today. Her school remains focused on stretching, flexibility, strength, and classical technique. What is it like at Koltun Ballet Boston? You will find a state-of-the-art facility with multiple studios. You will find small class sizes. You will receive individual attention from talented instructors. The instructors will push you to be your best, and they truly care about their students’ success. You will find a great group of kids who develop lasting friendships both inside and outside of the studio. You will find that Ms. Koltun has deep connections in the dance community, and is able to bring star choreographers to prepare modern dance ensembles that frequently earn top awards at prestigious competitions such as the famous Youth America Grand Prix. Koltun routinely wins the Outstanding School Award at these prestigious events. Many of the students go on to enter professional companies around the world. All of the students learn to be the best they can be.If you are serious about ballet & modern dance, you should seriously consider Koltun Ballet Boston. I have seen reviews critical of this school after only attending for a few days. Those reviews are baseless. If they have you concerned, I suggest starting with the seven-week Summer Intensive Program. This program will introduce you to this outstanding school, its outstanding teachers, and its wonderful students.
F Conway: I highly recommend Koltun Ballet Boston’s training. My daughter has learned and improved so much these past 2 yrs in their pre professional program! The teachers have so much passion and care for the students
Peng Xu: Koltun is a place for kids who truly love ballet. My daughter has been dancing at Koltun since she was 4. All the teachers are very dedicated and professional. The teachers care about each and every student in their class. The community is all very supportive of each other.
Dorothy Mills: We had a wonderful experience at KBB! Tremendous support and technique provided by experienced teachers and mentors. This school trains beautiful dancers with amazing futures! Highly recommended!!
LI YIN: My daughter is 13 years old and she attended the summer camp of Koltun Ballet in July 2022. During 7 weeks, she believes that she has greatly improved her ballet technique. Before that, she studied ballet in another school with big name in Boston. She officially enrolled in Level 6 study in September 2022. She is very willing to study here and has never missed a class.Studying at Koltun Ballet is demanding, with great attention to detail. For a mother who accompanied her child to learn ballet in two countries, I understand very well. For a ballet dancer, she pursues every movement as perfect as possible. At the same time, training in strict accordance with the requirements will prevent children's feet from being injured. Once my daughter felt discomfort in her right foot, Teacher Natalia sat with her and checked her instep, ankle and toes. And told me that the day's class would reduce her to some training. My daughter is very willing to be with her Level 6 friends. After each training, they will happily chat for a while. There was a one-hour break in class on Wednesday, and that was the time when she was happiest. She thought it was an interesting time, and she even thought it was too short. Here, she also has the opportunity to enter Level 7 courses and rehearsals, so she can observe higher-level training. The teacher here is very responsible, Ms. Koltun took a long time to help my child choose right pointe shoes. Natalia would sit beside and teach her how to sew pointe shoes. The sewing requirements for beginners' pointe shoes are not the same as well-trained professional. Natalia would take my daughter to try and sew.During the months of studying in Koltun Ballet, they have performed 5 times. When my daughter performed at the BU dance theater for the first time, the senior students of Level 7 took good care of her and took her to the warm-up venue. Take her to see a photography exhibition. The photos on display were all taken by the photographer for the students of the school. It was raining heavily that day, and the care of her sisters from Level 7 made her feel very warm.In the school, photos of the students here during training and competitions are displayed. The current largest lounge has been decorated as a photography gallery. Every time I wait for my kid to finish class here, it is a wonderful art time.In the UBC and YAGP competitions in January and February 2023, all level students have achieved good results in both solo and ensemble. Koltun Ballet wins the best dance school in YAGP 2023 semifinal Boston, and Lesley Telford choreography awards. Ms. Koltun is the first one to send messages of congratulations and thanks to the children and parents.Whether it's performances or daily training, I can feel that the teachers here are proud of the students.❤️
consuelo del castillo: My daughter has attended Koltun Ballet Boston for a few years now. She loves the school, the environment and the friends that she has found there. The school is very serious, and it offers great training. It can be challenging at times but the enthusiasm that the teachers put in it is invaluable. We are overall very happy about Koltun Ballet Boston
Judith Steen: Koltun Ballet Boston is a school for kids who love dance or want an opportunity to become professional dancers. Alexandra and Alex, who teach senior professional students, have a strict work ethic and expect the students to work hard. Other outstanding teachers at the school include Natalie Clark and London Mills. They provide candid feedback and are highly dedicated to their students. Some of the teachers have won choreography awards, including London Mills. The school exposes the students to professional dancers through master classes and brings in notable contemporary and classical choreographers to work with the students. If your child needs support or has a problem, having an open discussion with Alexandra or the teachers results in action. The school won the 2023 best school award at the YAGP regional semi-finals.
Li Zhu: Amazing ballet school! my daughter loves learning dancing there since 2021!
liying tian: Absolutely The best ever!!
Tatiana Linscott: I usually don’t post reviews and especially negative ones, but this one had to be posted if nothing else but as a public service announcement. My experience at Koltun ballet lasted only 3 days during which I’ve witnessed Alexandra‘s never ending emotional rollercoasters and controlling behavior. She goes from smiling to screaming, from happy to angry in a matter of seconds. Everyone in the studio is tiptoeing and staying low in order to not provoke her into a rage. She justifies her behavior by telling the stories of her abusive ballet training back in the USSR. She told me that my daughter will be bullied unless she changes her hair color, and then she greeted us every day by the front door saying that she despises people who differentiate themselves in any way (and in this case was a hair bleach). My daughter had an hour break in her schedule between classes on Wednesdays, but was not allowed to be picked up or to go out, and instead all the girls were forced to stay in the extra room together and were told to do their homework. I haven’t seen any students chatting or walking in the hallways or smiling; it seems to be an intentionally strict, controlled environment to instill obedience in their students. We’ve been at the studio for only three days, but with so many red flags, it was clear that this place was not for us (or for anyone who pursues happiness and a healthy self worth). For reference, my daughter is 13 (placed into level 6 by Alexandra) started her dance career at the age of 2 at the Hawkins School of Performing Arts in CA. We’ve had a benefit of being an newcomer, an outsider with a positive previous experience, and my heart aches for those girls who grow up with studios like Koltun and don’t know any other way. Hopefully this review will save you a headache and a $500 non refundable deposit.
Jill Tays: Really thrilled with what they have given to my son—they totally brought him to the opportunity of going professional—great guidance and teaching
The Lambie Family: We came to KBB after my daughter found her previous studio unchallenging and not supportive. KBB immediately welcomed us into the family and made my daughter feel seen. The teaching is top notch in terms of not just technique and details, but also in discipline, independence, and confidence building. Classes are small enough that all the students get individualized attention. Ms Natalia is FANTASTIC as are Alexandra and Alex. They are supportive while believing in your dancer and pushing the dancers to be their absolute best. The change in my daughter's dancing was nothing short of spectacular as was the change in her personally. Even her posture improved! We love the KBB family and cannot say enough good things! If you are looking for a great environment and top notch training look no further! Highly recommend!
Natasha Clark: Perfect!!!
Olga Rolf: My husband and I came to Boston from San Francisco in November, 2019 to spend a few days with the family and had an opportunity to attend a class for the senior students at Koltun Ballet Boston. What a fantastic and absolutely inspiring experience it was!We were impressed by the way Alexandra Koltun could give a constructive, problem-focused feedback on her student’s performance while building their confidence, dedication, honesty, respect and commitment. She took the time to encourage each student to do their very best, and the students took pride in working hard to improve their routine every time they performed it.We could tell that the children had a great time! The skills and the values like team work, perseverance, confidence, the joy of dance, music and theater arts, imparted in each student will serve them well their entire life.Alexandra and Alex, have been well regarded in the World of Classical Ballet in the course of their impressive Professional Career, and they have also excelled as entrepreneurs and teachers by providing an outstanding technical training, instilling tremendous discipline in each student and creating a delightful learning experience for children.Their professionalism at the Koltun Ballet Boston is unparalleled. We saw first-hand how much coordination and effort it takes to put together the school like this! The staff is amazing as they have been kind and patient and have nurtured their students not only as dancers but as human beings and they all are wonderful inspirations to the kids. While watching the senior students rehearsing the Nutcracker, and in spirit of the Holiday Season, I thought of sharing a few facts about this magical ballet.Facts & History About the Nutcracker•The 1st production of The Nutcracker was to a sold-out show on December 18, 1892 at the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, Russia.• The ballet is based on Alexandre Dumas’s (of Three Musketeers and The Count of Monte Cristo fame) adaption of E.T.A. Hoffman’s 1916 German fairytale called “The Nutcracker and The Mouse King.” The original story was too dark and scary for children.• Tchaikovsky and the choreographer, Marius Petipa, worked together on the Sleeping Beauty ballet 2 years before The Nutcracker.• 8 musical numbers from The Nutcracker were first performed as an orchestral suite 9 months before the ballet premiered. This Nutcracker Suite became an instant success.• In German folklore tradition, a nutcracker protects families and brings good luck, which is why it was given as a gift to children at Christmas.• The 1st production of The Nutcracker was not well received and was criticized for scenes that didn’t flow together, not enough ballet like Sleeping Beauty and Gisellle, and too many children on stage.• The 1st complete performance of The Nutcracker outside of Russia did not happen until 1934 and took place in England.• Audiences in the U.S. were first introduced to The Nutcracker music score in Disney’s 1940 film Fantasia.• The 1st full-length production of The Nutcracker in the U.S. was in 1944 at the San Francisco Opera Ballet.• In 1954, George Balanchine created his version of The Nutcracker for the New York City Ballet. This production brought new life to The Nutcracker launching its popularity in the US.• George Balanchine played the nutcracker role himself in Russia when he was 15.• More people have seen The Nutcracker and more dancers have performed it than any other ballet. It has become a holiday tradition!William and Olga Rolf
Kodun A: Amazing ballet school!
Val Busler: Our daughter achieved amazing results during this year, coming only once a week. She is looking forward to next level.
Sarit M: My daughter Dafna has recently returned from YAGP finals dance competition in New York. Who would have thought that our dancers could become international finalists. Alexandra koltun and Alex Lapshin have pushed our students to their maximum in the most successful way, to ensure that they reach the highest standard of ballet, and modern contemporary. The style of teaching is very professional and the teachers there are just incredible. Professionals are given scholarships almost every year with Koltun Ballet Boston for they produce professionals right in Watertown. Dafna wouldn't have had half the opportunities she does without this studio and who knows where she would be without the exquisite training expertise. I would strongly recommend attending this studio for the best results always occur. Thank you to the wonderful teachers at Koltun we could never thank you enough.
Cherish Brunet: Having just returned from the world renown YAGP 2018 Finals in New York City with two of my daughters, I can attest to the amazing training the Koltun Ballet Boston dancers have been given by Alexandra Koltun, Alex Lapshin and their staff. An emphasis on technique classes combined with coaching in variations and ensemble pieces provided these young dancers the opportunity to stand out among the best dancers in the world. We are thankful for year round training in a beautiful facility with amazing faculty.
Amber Verhaert: Wonderful!
Alex Lapshin: Congrats to Koltun Ballet Boston with an “Outstanding School” Award winning - YAGP 2018 (Worcester, MA)We are simply very proud of our students and we will continue to work very hard to grow next generation of Artists. Bravo all

Laugh Boston: what do users think?
David Turner: Plenty of good seating choices, many of them tightly packed, but still some on the sides with leg and arm room.
Michelle Talbot: I’ve gone to see a few comedians here, great spot
Andrea McDermott: My experience here was great. There’s a way to order drinks from the table using a QR code so you didn’t have to get up and miss any of the show. The bathrooms were kinda gross but it was after the first show (I was there for the 2nd) that was the only problem. The venue was nice and it ended up being a really great time!
Jason Chambers: Great bar, great show.
joseph fasulo: This place was awesome!!!
jay money: Great comedy club.
doris lopex: El lugar muy bonito, la mesera super atenta, el puña colada está muy rica al igual que el postre, sin duda el lugar para regresar, ademásl a vista espectacular
Jasmine Cox: Such an epic night!!
Emily Morgan: Limited seating that offered a decent view to the stage was the only downside. If if you didn't have the best view, the stero system was good so you could hear them from anywhere in the room. Drinks and service were speedy and good. The comedians we saw were funny and didn't focus too much (if any) on politics, which was much appreciated.
Ellen Feldman: Had a wonderful time. Dice was as good as I hoped he would be. His intro partner was also very good.
Jenifer Pantazis: Great time for a good laugh. The comedians we saw were hysterical. There were three all together. Staff was really nice and drinks were good. They do have food as well.
Douglas Were: Good place for a laugh
Cassandra Summers: Incredible show and experience beautiful facility. Definitely a must!
Dessie Hristov: Good venue inside the Westin. However, the menu consists of chips and salsa. That's it. Good choice of comedians and it draws a good crowd. Enjoyed it with my team!
Brooks Sheridan: I didn't laugh
Terry Brooks: Staff were wonderful and helpful. The comedian couple were great, fun, and beautiful with their adorable son ❤️ keep the laughs coming. 😃
Bob Snipes: Management are real losers. Overreacting losers. 0/10🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅
E Travis: We loved seeing the show at Laugh Boston! The staff were friendly and efficient and the ambience was generally good. We will be back to see other shows at Laugh Boston. We recommend getting there early enough so that you get a chair that faces the stage with the table in front of you. We weren't late but ended up having to sit in chairs situated in front of the table. It is a minor inconvenience and in the end we didn't really mind too much.
Sam: The event itself was wonderful. I would knock off half a star because the space felt cramped and it was hard to find someone to take our order. But I rounded up to five stars for overall location, cleanliness and friendliness of staff. I would still go back for another event or just for drinks.
Megan Murauckas: Efficient venue. Staff was friendly and helpful!
Michelle Cronin: It was funny but not enough for New Year's
