U.S. Social Security Field Office: what do users think?
Eleonora Polini: Service incredibly slow, not even 5 people served in 2 hours. I never saw this kind of service anywhere
Annop Lins: Applied for new ssn, no appointment needed, done in 40mins. Staff was nice and service was fast. Went there on a Tues day noon. Received thru mail within 4 business days.
Divakar Jain: Super smooth process! You get a ticket at the kiosk and wait for your number to come on the screen. Staff is very friendly and waiting room has plenty of seating capacity. Had to wait around 30 minutes when I went on Friday afternoon which is not much imo.
patricia tatarian: I have called Boston office many many times ,early in morning late in morning early afternoon late afternoon never after months of trying have I been able to speak to someone have waited over 45 minutes on phone to be hung up on .., many times So very frustrating and unacceptable
Jeremy Stevens (Jeremyah): Long wait, pleasant person helping me. It is in the Frderal Building, so ypu have yo go through security and remove everything from pockets and all coats, then check in at a kiosk and be prepared to WAIT A WHILE!
Callum Sparkes: Have heard some horror stories from colleagues about getting your social security when you move from overseas, with up to 8 hour waiting times. Maybe I got lucky, but I was in and out in 45 mins, with the person working there, Frederick, being amazing and understanding, made the whole experience somewhat enjoyable. Frederick is probably one of the best government employees I’ve ever had the pleasure to interact with.
Alberto Bonilla: Muy bien atendido gracias
Elizabeth Alicea: The lady I just spoke to don't seem to happy with her job and was really rude
Kurk Watts: Lovely considering I was 1st in line...unloading all of my metal objects for security wasn't fun!
Nandish murugesh: I went to apply for an SSN, I had an appointment in the morning. The process took barely 15 minutes. Everyone was very helpful and polite.
Anie Day Alindogan: Walk-ins are available now.
Mingyue Lao: Please read if you are trying to get a Social security card replacement.I was struggling to make an appointment through phone call for month and the other social security office near my house is closed. Then I saw one of the review that you do not need an appointment to make the visit. It‘s 100% true!My experience:Document that I bring:US passportService received:citizenship update and replacement of Social security cardI got to the building at 1:50 PM and I walked in leave down my stuffs to go through security scan then walk into the office did a quick check in on the machine by the door way. Waited about 20 minuets I was called and completed all my request of updating my citizenship status and request a placement of my SS card in like 5 minutes!Very friendly staff as well!
DrPrang Dentist (prang_piyarat): We came early in the morning prior to the opening hours.
JESH: Went down on 7 July without an appointment and the officers were quick and on it.Only tip I have is to avoid lunchtime if you can. And for those that rightly pointed out, getting them on the phone is IMPOSSIBLE.
Roxy Zelayandia: I have been calling for over a year to make an appointment and nobody answers the phone. There has to be a way to better the customer service line.
Matt Greene: Nobody has contacted me online at all about how to reset my password it says a letter was mailed to me multiple times. Is someone gonna respond. When is this coming back M-F? Federal government is tripping.
Di Schwab: I went on June 17th 2022 to get my new SS card and the officers was nice and kind. Waiting time was only 10 mins and i get it done in less than 20 mins. So fast and efficient. Well done SSA office. Keep up the good work!
Filomena Silveira: No phones are working …..how we suppose to get things done ☹️
Luoqi Wang: They said to call them back if I don’t receive my document. But their phone service is NEVER functional during their business hours. Painful experience.
pauldavid saulnier: This is in fact the closest Social Security field office to where I live . I can reach it on foot in just under ten minutes . In addition , it sits at the nexus of the mass transit system accessible in theory to the entire metro area. However these advantages are totally cancelled out by a combination of rigid and scientifically discredited covid-19 restrictions as well as a dysfunctional phone system that makes it virtually impossible to contact the office by phone. Instead , poor, elderly, and often not computer literate retirees are shunted over to a website where they can " create " their own service account. The lack of phone accessibility is not limited to the Causeway street office . NONE of the Boston area field offices has fully functional phone service . I was not able to contact the Waltham, Freeport street Dorchester , nor the Roxbury office until today . Miraculously I got a Social Security employee employee in Roxbury . When I told her where I lived , I was advised to call the Causeway street office as my particular business with the SSA would require an in person appointment. I explained to her that I had just spent two and one half hours on hold on the national Social security " help" line before my call was dropped , and that I had no intention of calling Causeway street for the thousandth time . This lovely woman, the only minimally helpful person to person contact I was able to obtain after almost a week of using all my waking hours to the exclusion of everything else in my quest to get help from this agency ( in what should have been a very simple and straightforward matter ) put me on hold as she E MAILED Causeway street to request an appointment for me .
Emmett Yael: The lines are busy 100% of the day and the building is closed. There is no way to get through. Ridiculous.

U.S. Social Security Administration Office: what do users think?
배건호: 온라인으로 SSN 발급 신청 후 서류 가지고 가니 정말 금방 처리해 주었습니다. 거의 들어간지 20-30분만에 모든걸 해결하고 나왔네요.
Nancy Copeland: Very efficient, knowledgeable and helpful.
Salomy Petit-frere: Good and fast service...
September Rogers: Good for the family whomever needs a social security card and just checking on the status of application.I like the check n process
Faten AlRadini: Professional, polite and fast as I finished in 40 minutes. 30 minutes waiting, 10 minutes with an agent. All the team, from security to the agent were all kind. Try to come early in morning, it’s really not crowded.
C K: This office (on 2nd floor of building) is extremely crowded (with unfortunately talkative people) and has limited daytime hours (see photo and hours listed), so prepare to wait about 2.5 to 3 hours on your average visit. Many of the staff are curt and dismissive, but not all (can't name names while reviewing). Security guard -- and my experience -- confirmed that the line moves faster in the first two hours of the morning and the last 2 hours of the day (i.e., after their lunch). The bathroom is surprisingly decent, given the number of ppl in that place. Worth your while to get on hold with a phone call to Social Security CENTRAL while you're waiting (their phone hold is never less than 1.25 hours).
KHOGELICOM HUSSEINCOM: Professional team.A few minutes and I'm done
Andrew Hoffman: Only a few minutes' wait, and everyone was friendly, professional and efficient.
Aabhijatya Somvanshi: the worst part is that they can't provide any update on card arrival and delivery. We have to wait without any idea and they can't help.
Elvin Aghammadzada: Took 10 minutes of me to apply for SSN as an international student. Just go early in the morning 🌄 9ish.
Heidy V: Seems like the staff ain’t trying to work I called 3x and they hang up while I was talking seriously why they have people like that working for the government ridiculous
Mayur: It was fast and easy
Yingli Lu: Worst of the worst. I made 2 phone calls and both are getting hang up while I just start talking.
Anshuman Tomar: Unprofessional staff. Hangs up the phone abruptly.
Luz Solano: Operations are on a limited basis, which could improve in order to meet the needs of the community
Betty Marseille: Very rude people ,hung up the phone before you even have the chance to talk to them.I tried so many times for my uncle, every time this woman picking up the phone she hangs it up a second after. I wish I could give them zero stars My uncle works hard, you are not doing him a favor .That is his retirement money. This is unprofessional do your job.
Chen Simon: The representative is extremely rude, hangs up the phone before you even finish talking. I wish I can give a star lower than one.
ANGIE C: After being on hold(on the phone)for 45mins to an hour someone finally picked up and while I was in the middle of asking my first question they sighed and hung up on me.
Beatrizs Selis: Service of the employees is horrible!!!!they hang up the phone while you talking.
Sriram Ravindran: Rude behavior of officers. They will abruptly cut the call while talking. Extremely unprofessional behavior
Aswathiy Narayanaswamy: The worst experience and extremely unprofessional

US Social Security Administration: what do users think?
ruth vittini: Poor customer service, the lady that answered my call I didn’t get her name unfortunately was very rude , nasty attitude , seriously people like this working for ssa I guess they don’t go through backgrounds when hiring . Animals will do better
SweetLala25: A person there literally laughed at my husband when he explained the reason for the extra help we received...you know during the PANDEMIC and that we needed our income back up. Do these people expect us to lie in a box with the income we get? But no they will lower it more if you arent struggling with rent.
Nikesa Bruce: Social Security Administration need to team up with FEDERAL GOVERNMENT and putting Pressure on business owner(like)..t-mobile,At&t,Macy's etc to get proper worker in the work places to make country uplift herself in expand business to create jobs. Donald Trump say let's create a jobs.SSN office need to Investigate the police station,City State,School,Migrate building etc.THE STATE OF AMERICA as being EYE JACK by illegal migrate.
Cassandra Ortiz: Security guard is very ignorant. He claims that there is a mandatory mask bylaw and by law, there is no mandatory mask law on top of that. He’s discriminating his own policy because he’s not even properly wearing a mask. So if you guys are going to put a policy, make sure that everybody is following the policy correctly not just wearing a mask for display that’s not even covering your nose.
Chef Rhoden (Cooking): New update replace social security card this is the place
BreBre: Disorganized always an issue with this place
margarita diaz: I hate calling them. They never answer the phone and when I do they are quick to hang up and not solve my issue.
Lele Evans: Not much to say Need to do better or they need extra help with going through their mail or they’re just being lazy. This about to be a third time 2 was reapplied applications Smh altogether three weeks now they need Ppl to come in
Dave Peters: Was in & out but never received replacement social. Thanks for nothing
Yan Chen: I got the email to call the office but could not get connected? Is there anyone working there to pick up phone calls?
justice forsythe: Not very good service
levar bynum: Nobody answers the phone when people need help this is nuts. You
Craiara Davis: I’ve literally been hung up on about 3xs in last 10 minutes and the employees have no idea what they’re doing. They’ve been skipping over steps.
Larissa Mariottoni: My experience was great. I didn’t have any problem scheduling my appoint by phone. The staff on the phone and at the facility were very friendly and polite. I’m satisfied with my experience. The free parking is a plus!
Justo Sanchez: Horrible assistant this is the worst places to call first they tell u that u can make an appointment and then when u call to make an appointment they tell you that you cant like are ya serious how can people get there social security card if they cant make an appointment.like does that make sences to anyone ???
Deborah Gardner: My benefits are affected and I can't get anyone help. The gentleman that answered was rude and still did not forward me to the correct person.
Esther Sales: After several attempts to reach someone, I finally spoke to a man (didn’t get his name) but it was the worst customer service experience I’ve ever received. He told me we’re in a pandemic and that the office is closed and kept asking me WHY did I want to do what I needed to do NOW, in the middle of a pandemic. Well sir, I wouldn’t be calling if I didn’t need to get something done now...He told me to hold on tight, and wait (for who knows how long) until the offices reopen. After explaining to him my situation in a calm way, he simply hung up on me. Yes, this place definitely needs oversight and new management.
Katherine Bragg: "Le" (his last name, wouldn't tell me his first name) told me I lacked "complete common sense." Incredibly unprofessional thing to say, and he clearly has no customer service skills. Truly disgusted.
Charles Akwari: Please, the lady attending to the calls in the Dorchester office is a very rude and lazy person. She is hot tempered and not fit to be there. The whole management needs to do better. It’s a terrible and disgusting treatment
Loretta Wallace: I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with "Tran" this morning! Top notch customer service! I don't think I've ever called anywhere and received such good service!
I saw everything: Great way to be stalked on the train

U.S. Social Security Administration: what do users think?
fallback B: It's 3/3/2023 so many customers but I only see 2 widows open .moving so slow
Carlos Tejeda: Came to be seeing without appointment, got this guy with an attitude you don't have no right he said no matters what you do will deny your waiver
Doodah Kisss: They are so unhelpful and each agent gives a different answer. They can’t even update basic information on their end and then have the nerve to say you can come into the office. To find out when you’ll get a retro check and to change your address?? Horrible service.
Juan carlos Luis: Servicio rápido
Marie Leeson: Even though they were busy, the representatives were very speedy and courteous. The check-in kiosk was easy to use and the waiting area spacious. Once it was my turn, I was in-and-out!
Serena Ebrecht: One of the representatives (I don't know her name) from the Roslindale social security office is the reason why my benefit payments were suspended! I moved to West Roxbury April 2nd then called Roslindale social security office on April 7th to change my address the lady said she would but she never did. I was told by social security administration that it'll take between 10 to 30 days to get my benefit payments back. I'm beyond angry and now have to rely on my family for money to help pay my rent, bills & other important stuff . AVOID the Roslindale office they are very unprofessional, Roxbury social security office is better.
Svetlana Hennessy: Horrible customer service - very rude and abrupt
Juan Andrés Martinez O.: I did call the other day to get some disability information and I was answered with professionalism 10 out of 10, they are must of the time remotely but efficiently,
Carol Mostow: During the pandemic have had several phone conversations with at least 3 different employees regarding questions I had. Each employee was patient, understood, and provided answers. In one case they were able to correct an error in the system that had been a problem for us. Be prepared to wait but the waits to speak with someone were tolerable and today, I was lucky and didnt even have to wait on hold for any length of time. Grateful to dedicated public servants.
Candy Zhang: It’s supposed to take them only 5 mins to give me a form but instead it takes them a month sending it to me. Not only that, they spelled my name wrong.
Don Jordan: With the same number of employees they've always had, it now takes 3-4 months to replace an old Social Security card? I sincerely doubt that many of these federal employees are actually "working" from home.
frankie soto: It doesn't have ramps for handicap and no parking for handicap and that's against the law
Sultan Yucel: I have to say that this place needs some undercover federal level investigation. The amount of misconduct here is absolutely mind-boggling. I am a US citizen and applied for an SSN and after 3 months they "kindly" told me to get lost. Some employees (such as window 14) seem like they were hired thru sheer nepotism(she had no idea what she was doing there) or like the employee who works at window 5 gave me an information that was directly contradicted by another employee. The supervisor is impossible to get a hold of and somehow is always "on vacation", I tell you the whole place is a circus. In my experience window 13 seemed professional and window 15 was putting on a good act (seemed like she genuinely did not care).I may or may not have recorded all of my interactions with them, so... in time...
Jessica Maloney: Long waiy a lot of people from open to close but it's like that at every location
Organically Naturally Chic: Worst customer care ever, I'm very surprise that there facility is an actual government office due to the representives. They are very unorganized and actually have the nerve to lose mail with people's personal information. The carelessness of the associates is deplorable, you may have 2 that actually take their job seriously with compassion Ms. Sully & another associate Brian, very beautiful people. If you want a high prestige position you must respect it as well, your not working in a faulty home office take dignity in your work. Show what real professional Boston personnel are made of.
Caroline Ambros: Went there with my kids to have their SS updated was told multiple times not to pay attention to the screen and wait for our number to be called we waited for two hours and they won't even believe that they never called our number instead was advice to get a new number to be serve and wait again .....very poor public service
James Brice: By far a bad experience me and my wife came in because it was next to are kids school after be there at 9am on the dot we were seen at 10:10am but were told we should've 2 at Roxbury because of zip code we understand that but the report was not helpful she answered her personal phone in the middle of are conversation and we sent on or way all they had to do was input pay stubs from my job horrible this happen on 6/5/17 this location is by far the worst we Customer care they don't care period
Ana Paula: Worse customers servise..They act like you go there to ask for there moneyI go there for the rights I haveThey have a check of mine that they don't want to releaseI depend on my s.s to leaveNot cause I wantBut cause I'm so sickNo money for a whole monthWho can live like theseAND THEY SEEM NOT TO CARERENT AND MY MEDS WERE NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET CAUSE A MISTAKE THEY MADE
yi ching: I went to here for applying for social security number two week ago. I didn't receive my card .Today I went to again telling them I didn't receive the card. Mr.said after 10days you will receive if not come here again.
ghwang life: The site is somewhat far, but their service is professional except for a mistake of the computer. Miss Sully served me politely and efficiently.
Dawnette Hamber: Like it going get something

US Social Security Administration: what do users think?
Carmen Siu Tai: I waited for more than 2 hours and end up dealing with the worst employee there.I've asked to change the phone number and he did it wrong. When I ask for a new print, he refused . He was unattended and without patience. I asked few more questions and he had attitude and didnt answer properly and told me set up another appointment. Worst experience ever!!!
Crimson Blayde: Impossible to get anyone one the phone. Been trying for over a week now. Leaving messages does nothing.
Rita Linnard: After calling to be hung up on wish you good luck. What a joke just trying to report a new job and 3 hours wasted.
Bob Weggel: Outstanding service-with-a-smile. Mission accomplished in minutes, not hours. Thank you, Katie.
Arthur Pepe: Short wait, pleasant help
Gardie Pierre: Found out I need to do more
Nontawan K (JJ): Best government officers I have ever interacted with. Very supportive, polite and know what they are doing. Everyone is super nice from the security guards to the officers.
Polina Mariash: I was very lucky to find one person who helped me. He was very efficient and his name is KEVIN. GOD BLESS HIM! Otherwise i called numerous times and nobody could explain anything.
Morgan J: This place is an absolute nightmare. I’m going to need a supervisor to reach out to me IMMEDIATELY before we take further action towards this branch for taking and not refunding money.
Gaddisa Hadhoo: They treat by who you are !!!
Gloria Pagan: Well I have visited this office before and it was a long line wait but the staff were very good under the circumstances and I just finished trying to call to try to fill out an application and it was easy to use but I couldn't stay on hold to get to anyone they send me to go online and then it said goodbye other than that it's not bad everyone's just trying to survive and deal with all multiple situations as professional as they can
Jiahao Zhang: The personal experience was good. There wasn't much of a line when I arrived, the security guard at the door was helpful and the staff handled my business quickly.
Mark Manni G: Very neat and clean. Wait isn't too bad. Very nice people.
Vinnicios “vinny” Ferreira: I myself just had a great experience with a very knowledgeable and sweet representative at this office. I think it's ignorant all the low reviews that have been made because clearly there is no quick in and out social security Branch in the world so therefore if you're going here for help or solutions to your matters you should give and extend more respect and gratitude. If you want to avoid going in to the branch go on the website that simple.
Jocelyne Giangregorio: This is RIDICULOUS!!!! I have been trying to get an appointment for my 87 year old mother for a month now. I have called continuously and the number is always busy!!Why are we paying you? Nobody wants to work anymore. I'm sure that they are taking the phone off the hook. Who can we call to get these people to work? I gave a one star rating only because I couldn't give it a zero!
Vince Cai: Calling was really annoying and frustrating but after you make an appointment, it all goes well. I went there 15 minutes early before my appt, on the door it says you need an appointment to walk in. They were surprisingly not rude and extremely helpful. Security was friendly and so was the clerk. I'd highly recommend you bring all the required documents or what you need
Vasanthi Jere: It's been over week. That system never connects with agent by saying currently we have high valuem call again later. When I go in person they don't allow even for scheduling an appointment they ask to do that online.
Sherrie: Literally was On the phone originally it says your wait time could be up to 15 minutes. Then after 25 minutes recording says its connecting me to a representative. This lasted for 12 minutes then another recording come on saying its retrying to connect me with a representative. Which it does try to however the Phone just rings and rings so I let it keep ringing expecting someone to pick up. Which never happened this lasted for 11 minutes. So I just hung up. Waste of over 1 whole hour. To not get a live person.
Djgeez Greene: They do t answer the phone, even at 9am! They just cut you off and tell you to go online!
net Z: now the office doesn't open to public but they NEVER pick up the phone! how can I get the my answer?
azad dhungana: Fix your phone😡😡😡

Social Security Administration: what do users think?
Y C: I am so used to the indifference and rudeness of most government agencies that the wonderful staff in this office almost made me feel undeserving! From the check-in guard to the counter official, they are all helpful, cheerful and efficient. They are knowledgeable in answering my questions. By observing interactions among the staff, there is a friendly cooperative vibe in this office. They must have great leaderships!
Inna T: Didn’t wait too long, everyone was helpful and kind.
Alex Warren: Super easy and friendly
Olivia Zhao: Staff is so mean
Taeseok Kim: Quick service
Mary Noonan: We have had great experiences each time we call the office. They are courteous, knowledgeable and their explanations are superb. We are most satisfied. Great job!
Jack A: Security requires to show ID upon entry , which he shouldn’tVery rude and unprofessionalPlease hire more professional security guards to deal with publicFor some reason they making you wear face mask but employees don’t wear one 🤔
Lane Cromwell: As of late October 2022, you do not need an appointment (at least not to update info on your card). It's true, the guy at the door is grumpy, but you would be too. Otherwise, shockingly quick and efficient for a Friday afternoon at the very end of the month. Eric is a star, give that guy a raise.
Yazhi: I applied online to replace my ssn card, and visited this office to show documents. I did walk-in, without appointment, on Thursday 12:30pm. The wait was very short (~10min). The staff was really friendly, and he made the process so quick and easy.
Magdalena Georgieva: Didn't have to wait long - was done in 20min from the time I entered till I exited. The place was clean and pleasant too.
sulaiman N. Male: From the moment your walk into that front Door to the time you walk out, the experience is terrific.Haggerty is sooo friendly yet professional.
Kaley Pásztor: I had to visit this Social Security office today and was appalled by the unprofessional presented by the security guard. First, the guard did not allow entry due to not having a mask and did not offer one to me, but the three individuals after me were all provided covers by him. He shouted at an elderly couple because their ringers were going off after they had already appeared overwhelmed. He wore AirPods for the duration of my appointment and provided false information to the room by stating all federal buildings require face covers. I am active duty military, and the only federal buildings that require face masks are medical facilities unless it is an internal policy. I am embarrassed for the representation of this office, and perhaps sensitivity training and a review of policies ad procedures should be addressed.
Somayeh Sabouri: Fantastic experience!! I stopped by without an appointment (in the afternoon)- The staff were very friendly and efficient (I went to Counter C, sorry I forgot his name, he was very sweet, and polite) !
Samantha Linton: Showed up on a Friday morning without an appointment, was done in 30 minutes. Super friendly staff!
Vikram R: Went on a weekday without an appointment.Very organized staff. The guard was very helpful in showing me the form and giving me a token number.Special mention to AARON at counter C who was the sweetest and most humble person ever!Helped me with the form filling as well as spoke very politely and was jolly.Got my SSN delivered in 6 days as Aaron mentioned.
Laila Othman: The security officer was so helpful
H sabra: You don't need an appointmentYou don't wait for too long
Suryun Kim: Eric is extremely kind! Thank you for his help a lot!
Lucy Kairumba: Adrian helped me navigate social security laws and policies. Adrian was professional/ patient/ kind. Thanks.
Ruth Abera: Good customer service.
Dolly White: Service was great and fast.thank you very much.Steve

US Equal Employment Opportunty: what do users think?
Alexis Rhea Downez Benson (Owner of me. No one else.): Worst experience ever. Humans who have had no respect for anyone. God bless you and your lies too.
Jae G: Wow can they be sued? The reviews are discouraging and disheartening. My anxiety is so bad right now. Who do I even go to for help? Unbelievable.
Andrew Smith: It's a shame that you can't give 0 stars. My experience was almost worse than the discrimination I experienced from my employer. Ken An Feng was shockingly incompetent, Lillian Marti never responded to emails or phone calls (still have questions that, to this day, are unanswered). If you're able to skip this entire sham of an federal organization, do so. It'll only cause you more frustration and hardship.

US Social Security Administration: what do users think?
Maureen Anderson: Visited this office last week. A little bit difficult to find as there is not much signage. But once I was in the office, it was pleasant with very nice young men at the reception desk . The person who helped me was also pleasant and knowledgeable. Only three people were ahead of me and my wait time was only about 15 minutes.
Dennis W: Zero stars. They don’t want anyone to find the office. There is no signs that show the location. Very very long waiting time. Bad opening hours, if you have to visit this place, take half a day off from work.
G. P.: Had an amazing experience here. It was a quiet day and got seen right away by a very personable employee. Thank you.
Lisa Joy: Need more polite staff
Jongsoo Ha: Such a nice place. Employees are welcoming, and there was so issue to go through a process
Richard S: Their phone online doesn’t work, and they call u after ur appointment when u call back the number doesn’t exist. Shouldn’t y’all be easy to contact…
Diane Mina: SSI told me I owe them money telling me they over paid me. SSI gave me 4 different PAYMENTS. NOW SSI IS TELLING ME I HAVE TO PAY THEM BACK 20,800 BACK! SO SSI IS I HAVE TO ALL AT ONCE. I. Don't HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY SO I PAY THEM 50.00 EVERY MONTH I ASK FOR AN UP DATES THEY REFUND TO GIVE ME ONE!
Lerin D: The people does not attend the call.Am almost calling for past 10 days and no one picks up the call. There should be a place in online to fix the appointment. Totally disappointed
james hadfield: Haven't been able to even enter the place as it's been in lockdown due to the virus paranoia and they don't even answer the phone to make an appointment I only gave it 1 star cuz 0 wasn't an option.sad experience!
Annmarie Watts: They never answer phoneCOVID really messed things up sence you can't go to the office .
Diane Melket: Although it's difficult to reach the Quincy office by phone due to staffing shortages, I have always found the representives there to be courteous, helpful and very efficient.
Shruthi shankar: Very arrogant and rude staff, unwilling to help.
Michael Cummings: Around September 30 I ordered some documents over the phone because I needed them for the Quincy Housing Authority they told me that the documents would be sent within seven days here it is now 2 1/2 weeks later awful slow I don’t know what’s going on over there I may have to make a personal visit but I don’t think they taking personal visitsI’m going to scream !
Krithika Reddy: Worst center I dropped my documents on August 30th I was given an appointment after calling several times on Sept 22nd and haven’t received SSN yet.
June Viarruel: There's a woman there that answers the phone. She is rude accusatory... And has delusions of grandeur... She pretends to be the head of the SSI Office? I actually lost it with her and reminded herthat we were both being recorded. They need to fire this nut.
Michael Larson: It's ok still mighty slow on answering phone calls
Jessica Maxwell: Horrible receptionist. Didn’t want to help me with anything. In the end turned me away.
Cynthia Lally: Very helpful, Jennifer answered all my questions.
duy dat Pham: Too slow and just 2 people work. Sometime 1
Diane Ha: Only 2 people working. 45 people waiting they're so slow.
Sandra Boone: My Fiancee has been there 3 times to get a new SSI because his original was laminated and he needs to renew his license. It's been close to 2 months and all they can say is he should have gotten it by now. Ridiculous. It should bot be so difficult to get a piece of paper sent to a person. He has all the correct paperwork. They cant be bothered to look into the issue. Lazy and unhelpful.

US Social Security Administration: what do users think?
x zelonw: I came here without appointment. They were friendly and efficient.
Kelly Dugas: They called me on 2/3 at 9AM for a phone appointment I never received notice of. Called them back IMMEDIATELY and they set an appointment for today at 2:30 PM and had sent me an online confirmation of that on 2/6. Then, on 2/9, I get another confirmation notice for a phone appointment for 2/28 at 2:30PM. Okay, fine. Then on Saturday morning, I get an online notice for an initial appointment for payment for 4/19 at 2:30. They seem to not know whether or not they’re coming and or going. Also, they can’t send the correct notices to people. I don’t know what’s wrong with the office, but someone somewhere isn’t doing their job as they’re supposed to be doing. If it’s something for them, they’re up in your face. However, if it’s something for you, they can care less.
Nan Driscoll: An hour wait and really didn't get my answer.
Alevtina Storm: Only one window works. The queue stretches very slowly. Probably, you can grow old here... waiting
Dan .Theman: No sign on the outside. Room 120.
L S: Awful, they will literally hang up on you for absolutely no reason and that’s after waiting anywhere from five minutes to a half an hour to actually speak to someone if they don’t know the answer they’ll just hang up on you. Countless times calling just to speak to someone only for them to hang up , beyond rude and unhelpful
Peter Blain: Very fast and staff was well knowledgeable.
David Sanchez: I’m a 100% disabled veteran that is legally blind. I was trying to get a duplicate of my social security card since I lost the other one. Two weeks ago I call the 1-800 because I couldn’t process it online saying that my information was wrong and when I called they told me to go personally to the office in Waltham. As I said, I’m legally blind and I’m staying in my friend’s apartment in Acton. In order for me to get to that office I had to ordered an Uber to take me to the train station. Then, wait over 10 minutes in the train before Kendal Green station. Arrived at Waltham and take bus 70 to later on walk about a mile to get to the office. While I was there the officer who was in the office assist me by giving me the application to fill it out to speed the process. I wait over two hours and when it was my turn the lady in booth 9 told me to go and take the application to Florida. I asked if I can give an address from Massachusetts and she said in a rude way no. Just take it to Florida. The little that she know is that after all of this trip I am also making plans to flight to Florida and then to Puerto Rico because my cousin passed away two days ago and I don’t have the time to do it for now. Thanks God that looks like the officer is the only that wants to work and went the extra mile and found me outside and assisted me. He told me that I was waiting for over two hours for her to treat me like that. I’ll be in debt forever with him. More people like him is need it in places like that. And by the way, sometimes people don’t look that have disabilities like in my case plus I’m just 44 years old, but that doesn’t give you the right to treat others the way she treated me today. She supposedly is their to serve any type of people specially the disables and elderly.
Kai-Yi Huang: The security guard was friendly and helpful. However, the staff didn’t know how to access their digital service, so that I need to redo the application. This is not the worst, she was quite impatient and interrupted me talking.
Karolos Arapakis: The ladies at windows 9 and 10 were very helpful and quick!! Awesome experience, thanks a lot!
Vilius Vysniauskas: Worthless and poor service. I called them numerous times and somebody would pick up, I would hear people talking in the background but they would just hang up the phone without saying anything. Do your job.
ridleyman: Staff was pleasant, but it's typical government lack of efficiency. I'm trying to help my mother with her SS and we got nowhere, yet again.
Siyan Guo: All the staff were very rude. When you call to ask about them, they hang up on you.
Kelsey Vasquez: This location is always so pleasant when I call, and always willing to give information and help assist. No issues or concerns.
Merline Hilaire: I had to call this office😤impolite staff! That’s was a bad experience!!!
Varun Edupuganti: The best service you can get make sure to have an appointment during a pandemic
Leticia Nash: I had a great experience at this office. My appointment was on time and I had no issues.
A B: I was on hold for 9.5 minutes twice! Then the call was disconnected. The next call I made I asked for the name of the representative three times and she would not give her name. Just another corrupt government employee.
Daryl Bosco: It's a government institution so you probably already know it's going to be poorly run. I recommend you set aside an hour longer than you think it will take. The guard was helpful in answering my questions though. Definitely not a fun place to go, but serviceable if you have social security needs.
Emma H: The phone service is terrible and keeps on disconnecting from their “phone issues”. Ridiculous to deal with considering the already normal long wait time. And have to re do the whole wait time all over again from connection issues.
Robin Van Putten: It's not that I dislike SSA. It's their service. You get 2 call and everytime someone's telling you something different from the last person. Your lucky if you get any answers 2 your problem. I'm fed up. 4 months waiting for an answer but send them a check and it is cashed immediately. They know how 2 do that well.

Social Security Administration: what do users think?
Abdelaal Abdelaal: The social security office at Norwood is the perfect people working there even the Security officer and all the stuff working there I love everyone there because the know how to help the people. Thank you All. Merry Christmas everyone.
Fuz Vman: Wonderful experience. The police officer (a gentleman from Laos I don’t recall his name) was so helpful and kind. The employee whom helped with my request was also unbelievably kind. This is the best experience I’ve ever had at a government institution.
Steven Palmer: With two visits under my belt, each with serious questions to pursue, this office staff provided timely and thorough service. They have a ticket service and a display of where we were in line. Only waited in line about 20 minutes each time. I have no concerns about returning the next time a questions arises. I had the same good experience when I called this office on another matter, though I was able to speak with someone in less than a minute. Very nice....
Mike Big Baby Browne: Fast and professional was in and out in less than 10 minutes didn't need an appointment I just walked in got the help I needed and walked out
Dimitrios Kosivas: I believe this office and and the SSI ...is loosing their marbles and they have amatures working for them......unprofessional 😏The only thing they know what to say is to appeal.....that is their excuses and answers...we are paying their mistakes and doing their job..👎
Charlie S: The worst social security office by far. Never answer phones, sends requests for paperwork they have had (and confirmed having) for months. Formally reported them for negligence. Honestly should be shut down.
Steve Kitay: Just called the Norwood Office. Seconds after making it thru the typical recorded options before being allowed to hit 0 to talk to a rep - a most informative and pleasant representative named Jason answered the call and within minutes fully handled my request.
Jeff Hosking: Over 2 Weeks of trying to connect with someone at this office. DOES ANYONE WORK THERE??? Pick up the phones....
Olivia O: If you can, try to make an in-person appointment rather than sending applications in the mail.I sent in an application with important documentation back in June, and never heard back. I have a photo of the envelope I sent it in, so I'm positive I wrote the address correctly. When I called, they said they never received the application.I am guessing this is probably the fault of the postal service and not the SSA, but it's still frustrating because now I have no way to retrieve the documentation I sent with it.
My Flowers: Went there only to be told employees are working from home.
Mughni Kurniawan: Knowledgeable and kind
Michele Bergstrom: Very pleasant, helpful, professional gentleman!
Errin Jones: My husband and I were very fortunate to have Mrs Goman from the Norwood Social Security office assisting us with telephonically signing up for our benefits. She was knowledgeable, professional and very personable. Very helpful and an asset in her position. Thank you.
David L Lindauer: I have had three visits to the Norwood office over the past year and could not be more pleased with the professional quality and expertise of the staff. At each visit, a staff member spent as much time as needed with me and my wife, answering all our questions and helping us navigate our decision about when to start receiving benefits. On one occasion the staff member remained even though the office had closed at noon (on a Wednesday) making sure we fully understood our options and required next steps.
L M: Didn't call back for two months. If I could give this a negative rating I would. My waiver went in before it was due I didn't owe anyting. I was totally convinced that Laura and Miss Mavis were helping me. nope as soon as I stopped calling they stopped helping you have to stay on these people to be perfectly honest least you didn't care and I lost a lot of money I couldn't have my surgery and I'm disgusted with the Norwood office
W B: Convenient location off of Rte 1 with ample parking. Efficient and kind employees. I showed up at the office at 9:13 am (13 minutes after they opened) midweek and there were 7 people in front of me. I was seen at 9:35am. Do yourself a favor and go as soon as they open. Bring a book because there will inevitably be a wait at a government office such as this. But I had a pleasant experience.
Denise Jordan: Clean and bright environment. Bernie was pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable. He made our trip worth the wait!
Kurt Reimann: This place is ridiculous. Typical of government only one desk is open serving people. The rest of the employees probably forgot to show up. We need to demand that the contract more of these services so there is some accountability. Government cost so much we should demand more and get a lot more. This is a disgrace.
adam keller: Easy in and out
Nancy Murray: It's not necessarily a place anyone wants to be at, but I found the people there to be very informative and helpful.
Janice Burnett: Friendly, helpful. Answered all our questions.
