Steen Hansen: Great experience. Had lining of an office chair replaced expertly. The frame of the chair was excellent, but it was a cheap make. The store had the integrity to point out that it might be less expensive to buy a new chair. I had the work done anyway with no regrets as I now have a chair that is really nice and hopefully will last a long time. Better solution for the environment as well.

J Breslouf: Neither responsive nor helpful if the owner can't do a job for you. I had already obtained a quote for a leather chair I was hoping to get restored and/or reupholstered. Richard instructed me to send pix and never responded to my email. I followed up a week later and was curtly told, "there's nothing I can do for you." Silence - no recommendations or helpful suggestions as to potential other steps/contacts. Guess I'll go with the original quote from Hub Leather in Natick - much nicer.

Party Boston: Needed several leather couches repaired for a restaurant in Downtown Boston. Had to call maybe 10 times and finally got someone out to take measurements. Been waiting maybe 2 months for the appraisal. Have called maybe a dozen times, different days at different times. No answer

Michael: Excellent craftmanship, great turnaround time. Tho kept the cushions nice & tight so that they don't look floppy or have sags in the fabric, but not so tight that the seams get stressed & blow out - this is difficult to master. Tho offered me options to save money (zippered pillow cases w/ slip covers, or just stuffed & perminantly sewn shut). He carefully advised me on how much fabric to buy, and there was only 1 yard (of 17) left over - perfect. His shop is clean & inspires confidence in his abilities, seeing the completed projects awaiting pick-up, and the bulk materials he works with. Tho's prices were very fair - I solicited many quotes, he was near the bottom but also the highest quality work based on photos.
Bob Curcio: Absolutely an artist. Tho’s work is with precision, perfection, and care. The work that he did for us was even a better upholstery job than the original Ethan Allen pieces. Very responsive. So glad we had our work done at Tho’s.

Because of the high demand for his work, he needs to have space at his spacious shop and could not store your furniture.He beautifully reupholstered 2 chairs, a stool and an ottoman with great detail on the patterns and shade of all the pieces to be in the same direction. Kathleen Vita: Gary and his team did a wonderful job. Our couches are like new. His workmanship and attention to detail is superior. He also responded to us in a timely manner and addressed all of our concerns.
BRIAN LEVER: Great service and great workmanship at a very reasonable price. The custom slipcovers we purchased from Gary Smith for two different couches fit like a glove and exceeded our expectations. Gary is a nice guy and is quite accommodating. Would not hesitate to do business with him again. Highly recommend.
Jen Sterling: I had two pieces of furniture reupholstered by Locatellii Smith Interiors. The first was a year ago. I have an antique victorian tufted sofa. Gary came to my home to evaluate the condition, give a labor estimate and show fabrics. He had a very nice selection to choose from. After thinking about the project for a few days, I asked Gary to come back to start my project. He was very professional. Picked up my sofa, and in six weeks, I was astounded with the work he did. My sofa was in my family for years. The care that Gary took was very much appreciated.Gary also , just completed a club chair the other day, which came out great as well. I highly recommend Locatelli Smith Interiors. It was a good experience.
Karen Turvey: Nice fellow at time of consult in January. That's about it. I did give Locatelli Smith interiors a deposit for several hundred dollars for cushion covers 5 months ago. Called again in April to learn of progress on covers and was told would have covers in 2 weeks. Still waiting to hear back in June. Not sure I am going to receive this product so will ask for refund.

This is the first opportunity I've had to express my gratitude, to the quality of service, pleasant disposition, and reliability. I have several antiques that are dear to me. Most have been handed down from family. When I first met Gary and his father (about 17 years ago), I was impressed with their attention to detail. Especially with fabric selection, that they brought to my home.Since then, I've had three other projects done by Locatelli's. Each time they gave me the same attention to detail.
