McGuire: I visited this location yesterday to inquire about a replacement sofa leg—I immediately went to the help desk and asked specifically if they had *anything* resembling the leg and was told No and that I should go to Bed Bath and Beyond by one of the associates in a snarky tone. Suffice to say, I was less than thrilled with their demeanor.However, I decided to go searching myself and found something that would work but it was too long. I approached another associate in the lumber section if it was at all possible to get the replacement piece I found cut down to size as I don’t own a saw. The associate named Denny was absolutely amazing—he was able to cut the piece to the length I needed and did so in a kind and compassionate manner. He didn’t make me feel like I was an irritation or asking too much. Now my couch has all the necessary legs thanks to Denny!

Eutaw Street: Outrageously incompletent. I went to this store because the app told me it had the item I needed (quantityt 5) The item showed as in stock, but no one could find it. The guy actually spent time showing me the manifest to defend his predisposition that they didn't have it. Finally, I spotted it on the top rack (not where it was supposed to be). Another 20 min later they brought it down. I told the guy that I only need two not the wholesale pack, to which he wrongfully and without any basis said that they "will charge me for the whole pack (of 6) anyway". What I thought was going to be a quik pick up, took me 1.5 hours.The punch line is that my online order for the same item was cancelled. (No apologies, just a casual occurence). Mind you, I know for a fact that they had 4 more items left (unless someone bought 4 pairs of custom decorative widow shutters in 9 minutes since I saw them). Haha 😄

They run out of highly popular brass plumbing for fittings, and sometimes are more expensive than specialty stores with restrictive hours like e.w.webb.

David Chea: There's so much containers in there store that I have no idea what I need. So I decided to start small and get a display case for my anime figures and a carry box for my tool kits when working on model kits. I think the prices are hit or miss. Some items I felt were too expensive. The staff were very helpful, they made rounds to check in on customers, some were revisited a bit much. Definitely coming back once I measure my room and personal items. Would like to show it to staff and see if I can get ideas on how to organize it better with shelving and such.

Allison K was absolutely wonderful to make things right when they didn’t have what I ordered and Pras was THE MAN fitting a huge pick up order all in my car so I didn’t have to make a second trip!!! Kudos to both of them!!!!
Gina Stenhouse: This is literally the best Container Store. Exceptional customer service and should be a model for other stores. I am pregnant and I had a dedicated staff member assist me in my selections and carry them out to my car. I called another day to figure out which product I saw on display in the store and another staff member went to see what it was and provided me with the sku so I could order it. I have now spoke to 3 separate individuals on 3 separate occasions and each time I am blown away with their willingness to go above and beyond.

I had purchased something online for in store pick up so I decided to check out in person what else was available in store while I was there. I was greeted by several staff members throughout my visit asking if I needed help. That was great. But, there was one employee that asked me if I needed help and I said, no. Later on while I continued to go through the aisles she approached me again after I passed by her chatting with one of her co-workers in one the aisles. She said, Do you need any help with anything? I said, no. And then I wondered why she was asking me again. So, I said, "You asked me that already." And then she said, "Yes, but you have been here for a while." I responded, "Yes, I am going down each aisle." I continued shopping but that interaction disturbed me. I didn't know there was a time limit on shopping at the container store. What makes this interaction strange to me, is that after she asked me the first time whether I needed help and I said, no. She saw me multiple times while I was going down the aisles. If I wanted help we both knew that she was within close distance of me. It seemed like she was suspicious of me because I was taking my time going through the aisles. Not a welcoming experience.

Beau Cote: We live local so this is our local hardware store. We used to go to the Watertown location and between the two this one is better. Register staff is generally always helpful. Staff around the store are generally not. I came to buy a Makita saw recently when the Milwaukee rep was there and literally nobody would help unlock the cage so I could buy the saw and they were all talking behind my back to the Milwaukee rep about how I didn’t know what I was doing. If you’re going to keep things behind lock and key, then have staff appropriately around the store to help. It’ll probably do the job if you need to come here but don’t expect much help. Plan ahead.
Bob Schoenberg: The store had various strong chemical smells that I had to leave. Two items I wanted they didn't have. Never found the 3rd one because I had to leave the store to get some fresh air. I like shopping at Home Depot, but not this one. I was with a friend who also had to leave because the fumes were stinging her eyes.

He got his license in 1971 and was a wealth of knowledge as he tried to help us with connectors for a portable dishwasher. Disappointing to say the least.

Emily Naphtal: Partway through my experience and disappointed. Some of my drapes should have been installed ages ago but first they didn’t take the right measurements, then producing and shipping took way longer than they told me when I bought them. Then they canceled my appointment day of and are making me wait 3 weeks for another one. Meanwhile I have to live with these massive packages in my main living space waiting for installation. Truly an awful experience. 2 stars because the shades they have installed look good so far - besides them placing the control in the wrong side of the window in 2 cases.
ODM: Horrible experience. Multiple remeasures had to be done. First order came with a wrong print and overall horrible look. Company apologized and offered to remake using a different fabric and style. I accepted remake and used renderings they made to pick a different print/style. Well, second time the style was wrong, the rendering color didn’t match the fabric. I demanded refund - company refused to issue. They offered a re-make #3 for which they are trying to change me now again. What a scam!

However, it takes a dedicated and astute representative to assist the customer in determining the right design and fabric for a home.Dan Ambrose, Shade store representative at the Boston Design Center, has been working with my husband and me for the past couple of years to create just the right look in both our Boston apartment and our CT home. One by one, I am replacing every window treatment and I’m enjoying each moment. It takes me time to weigh the options for fabrics and styles but each piece that I purchase adds a positive impact on my homes.Dan has been patient and relentless in assisting me to make sure that all my shades and drapes are done perfectly. He has a lot of unique ideas for designing window treatments and his advice has always enabled me to make the right decisions. Plus, it’s fun “working on windows” with Dan. Dan is our “go-to” guy and he makes it pleasurable to spend money!

Very difficult to get in touch with - took me multiple days after speaking with the design consultants to get a quote that they said they’d send me “in a couple minutes”. The installation was crooked and was told they needed to come out and remeasure. Then they disappeared yet again. Spoke with customer care multiple times who assured me someone would call me “today” and then again disappeared. My crooked shades still haven’t been fixed and it’s been over a month. Truly a nightmare experience for how expensive these shades are.

When told the blinds were wrong, was told we would get the proper ones for a selected date before grand opening. After another month wait, got a phone call days before delivery, pushing the date out further. Not only do they not tell customers when shades are coming late in a timely manner, they also point fingers from customer service to design consultants and act like they have no idea what is going on . NIGHTMARE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH OR ANSWERS, VERY RUDE, NEVER ORDER FROM THEM, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.

Second set of shades were finally delivered but with stains on multiple sections of the fabric, wrong length (supposed to be 3 inches from top of ceiling), and no blackout liner (when we purchased and ordered it). On top of that, the hardware is not even remotely hidden. Overall a scam for the price paid. Stay away as they clearly have severe production issues.

They didn't respond after multiple attempts to get in touch. After several followups they responded and sent someone to come and fix the shade. After the repair it worked for about 2 weeks, then the same issue came back. No response to my first request for a repair, so now I'm again sending a followup to try to get someone to help fix the shade...

Xianming Sang: Terrible customer service. I was here to return a baby high chair with the return label printed out. A mid aged white man, who is probably the manager, was very rude. He interrupted my conversation with the other staff, and directly rejected my return. The reason he gave was that according to "BB&B return policy", this product cannot be returned once used, even though it's just been tried once or twice by my baby. I asked where I can read the "return policy", he googled it from his phone and showed me his phone, and refused to print out any official page for me. I'm astonished. I didn't see any of such return policy when I pirnted out the return label, and I'm only told that there's such policy after I wasted a weekend afternoon, to get here. and more ironically, the return policy can only be found from Google. I'm OK with such policy if it's real. But without letting customers know its existence, it's overbearing their customers. It's especially unprofessional when a manager show his Google result to a customer and claim that's official. I'll no longer buy anything from BB&B again, just in case I cannot return something in the future because of these hidden policy and rude staff. Anyway I was buying this high chair here only because of their coupons. And it's no surprise that BB&B is closing half of their stores nationwide. Everything has a reason.

I look online to confirm inventory and location within the store for items I need to hold in hand first, otherwise I use their store pickup option, both of which work as hoped. My only issue is some of the codes that are used for product locations, the numbered aisles are perfect, but the letter codes make no sense, hence 4 stars, not 5

In overall case don't expect to much from their delivery

This time, we call. Nope, not yet, it's behind too many things. Wait shopping. Go home. Come back.This totally messed us up as we were selling the property and ended up installing it, but no time left to do other things.No apologies, just "business as usual" I repeat they were supposed to have it in stock [inventory] but why give a time The Following Day if you can't actually sell it?!One star for a bad experience? That bad experience cost us money. And my renovators had to be paid for going back and forth.There are only a few people who can actually help. Older guys and they're great. But when you finally find the one of two max you that you need they're swarmed with customers.It's hard to find wood that isn't cracked. In general they are stocked though unless it's a sale & I get that.Check out: cashier allowed a customer to "oops I forgot something. Then the shopper was gone for 5 minutes. There wasn't much & nothing heavy that had already been checked through. I wasn't the only one in line there were two more behind me. I got uncharacteristically angry. I got glared at.Returns are efficient. FYI if you're a casual shopper, check the contractor area. Things are cheaper but the same. The garden center has good sales. Be ready to haul your own Christmas tree and mulch. Oddly, they will help you to your car. There's room to pull up.It's very frustrating in there. Go for the circular items.Oh and they block the disabled aids.

I let them know I don't have a phone capable and they say you can't get the discount. Before all that was required was showing a military/veteran ID card.The staff have very little to know knowledge about trades, building, construction, etc. I often end up explaining to them how things work. Also had to explain to two different cashiers how to do a transaction (I'm a former employer from over 10 years ago) because they didn't know how to use their own computer.
