I was in town for the weekend, bought a pair of shoes, had them for one day and I couldn’t exchange them because I wore them out of the store and walked 50 feet to the hotel in them. I wanted to exchange - not return - and was still denied. This is the first time I bought shoes from a retail store in years. I mostly buy online but wanted to support the local economy. It’s too bad stores adopt these antiquated policies when online shops are much easier for returns. I will not shop at a physical Clarke’s again. Much easier to get it through Zappos and not have some sales lady give you a hard time when you want to upgrade your boots.

She doesn't have great customer service skills the way she talk to me, you would think that she thought I was stealing. I am way too educated to be taking things that does not belong to me. FIRST FLOOR: Men & Women sneakers. SECOND FLOOR: womens heels, boots & Clarence section. If the escalator going down to first floor isn’t working. There is an elevator & stairs to lead you back down. I ordered a pair of boots online for pickup at this location for the first time and wanted to ask a few questions regarding the pickup. I made three different phone calls. The first one was put on hold forever (10 mins+) and never heard back. The next two calls got picked up and hung up immediately without saying anything. This is super rude. I totally understand that they are busy. They can just leave ignore the calls in the first place. So, I didn't have to wait for them.Anyhow, due to its prime location, I will probably shop here again.

scott rennicks: I’m happy with my purchase of on cloud shoes. They would not help me after I showed them a defect in the shoe. I wore them 5 blocks and they said they could not do anything. But if you call on cloud they try to take care of you. I did not want a refund just an exchange. This store will probably not last long with this poor level of customer service. I went in specifically to support small businesses but it’s back to online shopping for me.

I've done some research on the brand and I was very interested. I tried a couple of sizes. They have a nice selection in the store.I purchased a pair and when I got home I wore them around the house again. They were just a little too snug after all.I called them and spoke with a nice lady at Trend. I asked to exchange for one size up and they said no problem. I sent in my boots and copy of my receipt. They promptly sent the requested size and I'm happy! Yes it cost me a little shipping but that's on me.Good customer service, good communication and tracking number. Nicely done.I love the boots.

I live out of state so the only way I’d be able to get an answer is drive 3.5 hours. Love the boots but I would not purchase from this store as they lack customer service support.
Dr. Goosen: You can't return unused items that you purchased from the physical store for a full refund, even though you can do it when you order from them online.
Arkadiy Kuvaev (BaKKo): Made an appointment 4 weeks ahead, provided my insurance information and filled a bunch of paperwork. 1 (one!) day before the appointment I get a text to tell me that my insurance is not supported, even though the website says they accept most insurance plans, and even mention Aetna by name. Most places verify your insurance the moment you make the appointment, and not 24 hours before visit.
apara sharma: Bought on cloud shoes at the store. They were too tight. Went to return or exchange them. They said to call on cloud. Oncloud said the retailer should address this. Retailer didn't handle this properly.
Asheesh Gupta: Odd experience. got to the store at 6p, customers inside, door locked, knocked and the sale person both refused to come to the door and explain why they had locked the door an hour early (with inventory on the rack outside) and refused to answer the phone when they could see I was standing at the door. Not sure why they did not have the courtesy to come to the door and explain why they had closed up early when they indicated earlier in the day that they would be open to 7p and I came down to the store to make a purchase.

They refuse to send me a return label so I can ship the boots back. Horrible customer service, would never buy from them again.

I was visiting from Chicago and purchased a pair of On running shoes and was super excited to try them out since everyone I know says they are super comfortable. I wore them once and got huge blisters on my heels but didn't want to give up on the shoes so I wore them a few weeks later with different socks and it was even more painful. The store doesn't offer refunds so I called and explained my situation, expressed disappointment with the shoes and even offered to pay for the shipping back to them. Absolutely no leniency on the policy and no other suggestions to make a customer happy. I've worked in retail almost 20 years and would never work with a client like this.

While the selection of brands isn't vast, the brands they do have are top quality and come in all the colors and styles.But the main reason I would recommend shopping here is the wonderful customer service. I contacted them directly after Christmas and was told they do not do exchanges after 14 days?????? So be aware if you are buying as a gift for someone that may take 14 days between purchase and them opening it!!!!!

Bill: This is an update to an old 1 star review. I had a negative experience a few years back. I walked in yesterday on my way into the mall not planning to shop at Nordstrom. I was approached by Amanda and an hour later I had the clothes I needed for my daughters wedding. Amanda was really great and restored my faith in Nordstrom. Knowledgeable, engaged and confidant. She even took pictures so I could text them to my wife and daughters for approval. Great experience! Thank you Amanda.

I approached one of the lazy Willeys resting on the counter with a simple request to order a product for me, please forgive me my intention get you a commission (use to work in retail, trying to be empathetic) and was smacked with "it is not available for order" while you can clearly see on the screen of the working phone that this item ready to be loved and sprayed. Ending up ordering from a different retailer($360)... The vibe of this place is generally wacky and unpleasant, spending money is fun, but definitely not here

Jordan Rich: The middle aged RBF brunette woman with circular glasses working at the Nars booth is insanely unfriendly and unlikeable. Not helpful when it comes to Nars makeup or proper sanitary measures. The attitude she gave me when I questioned applying a tester lipstick was INSANE especially given that, you know, we all went through a pandemic. The rest of the women working the makeup floor were kind and knowledgeable though when I spoke with them. Not sure what the Nars associate’s problem is but I’ll steer clear of her next time.

The sales woman helped me pick out the perfect outfit and showed true compassion for my situation. I will make it a point to do all my shopping at this store because of the staff.
Angela Simpson: I went in to go shopping, not even from Massachusetts and was racially profiled and followed throughout the store and then had the police called on me their undercover security tried to tell me that I’ve stolen from there before, but refused to see my ID that proves I’m not even from Massachusetts I would highly recommend finding any other Nordstrom to go to

Cheryl DeModena: Enjoy shopping nordstrom plus I love their cafes. Since I shop in different locations what makes me see all the clothes in nordstroms is their cafe. The staff especially in Peabody and Braintree are top notch! Their hospitality, as well as, the comfort of a break from shopping draws me in. I then peek at the clothing and always find something.

However, when I sampled the perfume I was disappointed in its scent. These two ladies made recommendations on different perfumes until I came across one that I really liked. I went ahead with the purchase and thankfully my girlfriend loved the perfume as well. If you are interested in buying your loved one a nice perfume I highly recommend you ask for Athena and Alexis. They will do an excellent job in assisting you.
