O Ya: what do users think?
Junji Morokuma: If you understand what O Ya means, this is exactly what we have experienced tonight. Literally a What?! taste palette explosion on top of very tasty Japanese seafood dishes and absolutely further more. Of course you would dine here every day. However, the jolt of your much needed and unexpected experience beyond already delicious Japanese seafood is right here, and only so.
Ava French: O YA is an exceptional restaurant that offers a unique and unforgettable dining experience. The restaurant’s ambiance is elegant and sophisticated, and the food is absolutely outstanding. The dishes are beautifully presented, and the flavors are perfectly balanced, making each bite a tantalizing experience for your taste buds. But what really sets O YA apart is the outstanding service provided by their servers, and in particular, the amazing server Jessica. Jessica is a true professional, and her knowledge of the menu and the sake is truly impressive. She is attentive, friendly, and goes out of her way to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. She is a true asset to the restaurant, and we highly recommend that you request her as your server when you dine at O YA.Overall, we highly recommend O YA for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience in Boston. The food, ambiance, and service are all outstanding, and the restaurant is truly a gem in the heart of the city.
Creative Cuts: Not worth the price. Not enough fish options, some dishes repeat like the salmon and mushroom dishes. Extremely salty. Very disappointed.Food: 1/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More

Rue D: Not worth. Our waitress was unpleasant and the food was not worth the price point. Came here based on the good reviews hoping for a good experience and left underwhelmed.
Lenny Euler: NOT WORTH. I have enjoyed quite a bit of fantastic sushi in NYC. O Ya is not even close. You deserve so much more for $300. This is not it.Let's start with the (few) positives. Much of the sashimi was decent, the mushrooms + "potato chip nigiri" were fun, desserts were good. If they charged $100 for this half of the menu I wouldn't object.HOWEVER -- Nigiri were entirely disappointing. Miniscule portions, which is not a problem per se, but the nibbles of fish were so overwhelmed by the extra ingredients that you hardly tasted them. Uni nigiri had the criminal addition of large pieces of lemon zest, which overwhelmed the delicate flavors of the uni completely.Ambiance and service were not what you would expect of a high end sushi restaurant. Not unfriendly, but felt more like a bar. Also, although food was prepared directly in front of us at the counter, it took a circuitous route back through the kitchen, rather than being served fresh by the chefs. For $300, you can literally travel to NYC and back and get better omakase for half the price. Don't bother with O Ya
Steven M: Loved it
Javier Rosa: Great food, good vibes, great service!

Monir Monir: In the pantheon of fine meals there’s great and there’s those that transcend greatness and indelibly stamp themselves on your brain. O Ya is among the latter. Among the offerings some integrated caviar, sea urchin and wrapped up with a wagyu beef course. Our waiter was fantastic. He was very helpful with our sake pairings. I like to go nuts with my credit card on anniversary dinners and O Ya was worth every penny. I would gladly go back and it’s a must try for anybody who loves sushi.
Genwyn: An amazing experience in the heart of Boston. The service was enjoyable and lively, the food was divine, and the drinks kept flowing.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Betsy Feldman: Amazing flavorsBeautiful presentationEverything perfectWonderful, entertaining evening with much personal attentionOur waiter, Tim, made the show perfect.Haven’t seen a real professional waiter in a very long time; knowledgeable, informative, well versed, helpful ……. can’t say enough about this guy!Only feedback would be to change spoons; they are textured and too thick getting in the way of the food. If that is the only criticism from me, O Ya is right up there with the best of the best. It was an awesome evening!!!!Thanks to everyone on the O Ya team (and I mean “team”) for making my niece’s 59th birthday extra special.Betsy FeldmanVegetarian options: One guest in my party has dietary restrictions and another just a few dislikes/preferences. Accommodations were easily made by the kitchen. Very impressive, greatly appreciated!

Cafe Sushi: what do users think?
James C: It’s not NYC/LA quality, but possibly the best sushi in Boston/Cambridge.
Wusong Road: Best sushi quality for the price i the Boston area! The Shoten also has some great deals for takeaway—and if I can sneak home early some nights I love to grab something (not just sushi) from their takeaway counter
T Lieberman: Love the weeknight plattersFood: 5/5 …More
Kaitlyn Switalski: Food: 5/5More
Sara G: Very disappointing for this price range, I do not recommend.
DLL: First rate sushi with unique, creative flavor combinations, made with love. By far the best sushi in the Boston / Cambridge area. Don't miss the Japanese market with sauces, snacks, and sake!Vegetarian options: Also with interesting vegetarian rolls and appetizersKid-friendliness: Special littles menu for kids
Jacob H: Exceptional
Antonio Victor Dos Santos Fortunato: Amazing food and drinks. The place was good too.
A K: Food: 56/80. Maybe it was a one off experience or because the restaraunt has switched to takeout only but the sushi that I got was not very good. The fish seemed a little hard/tough and the sushi overall had a slightly strange taste to it.Atmosphere/Service: N/A because takeout onlyRe-eatability: 8/15. The food is healthy but overall I wouldn't eat again because of the taste. Food was pretty expensive.Overall: 67.3/100. Wouldn't eat at again while it is takeout only but might give it a shot if they return to a dining in style as I have heard that it used to be much better when they did that.
Alyssa Neckorcuk: Used to be my favorite place in Cambridge for sushi - updating the review though because that was based on their in person experience. They are still to-go only as of April 2022, and unfortunately it isn’t the same as it used to be. The quality of their to go orders doesn’t compare to the omakase experience they used to have in person. It certainly isn’t bad, but what you get for the price isn’t near the experience level that the non-to-go used to be
Victoria Kuohung: Really just fallen in quality - sad. A ghost of its former self, and due in no small part to its continuing pandemic restrictions.
Jennifer Hickey: So we normally LOVE cafe sushi and they have been my favorite spot for years,l. But the last time we ordered from here all of our sushi rolls had wayyy too much rice. It was really disappointing because they are normally so good so hoping it was a one time fluke.
Chloe McKinley: Love this place! Super friendly service. I got the salmon sushi box for lunch and it might have been the best sushi I’ve ever had. Very fresh and almost buttery soft - it was great for the quantity and price. I can’t wait to return!
Al L.: Weekday special is great!
Belle T: Cafe Sushi 🍣 never disappoints!!! It’s my #1 pick for weekend to-go dinner! My favorite is the Salmon sushi and Chirashi bowls! ❤️ the miso soup too!
Fabrice Cancre: Excellent sushi to go
Cee NYC: Fresh great quality seafood at competitive pricing. Relaxed environment.Vegetarian options: Meatless sushi rolls

Genki Ya - Boston: what do users think?
Olivia Marciano: Their food is great but we've been here three times and had poor service every time. They also like to BLAST pop music, any time of day, regardless of how crowded or empty it is. The atmosphere and service aren't really there for me, but the Genki Ya in Brookline on Harvard Ave has never disappointed. The food is great at both locations, though.
larry benjamin: Horrible customer service. And I hate to make it about race but this is an exactly what transpired here today. A few guest came behind me and they had me standing there and seated everyone else. When I asked what the issue was the lady at the bar kind of lashed out on me.
Đan Nguyễn: The food was quite disappoting. I am a Japanese cuisine enthusiast, and this restaurant definitely did not live up to my expectation. The sashimi did not taste fresh. It was so bland, even the salmon - I could not taste the richness of salmon fat at all. There were some other fusion type of dish, but the combination of cheese and other ingredients did not turn out very well in my opinion. I'd say it was a westernized sushi/Japanese cuisine place, not an authentic one.
Laura Tarabolski: While are party of 5 did show up towards the end of the night, we weren't informed of last call or when the kitchen was closing. Roberto Cavallini: Great spot for sushi. Excelent quality to price ratio. Fresh food. I loved the RedSox rolls - Delicious. Good selection of Sake. Service outstanding also during two parties.
Seb T: Stopped for late dinner after a Blue Man Group Show a block away. Fast service, excellent and tasteful sushis, good miso soup. Fried ice cream was ok but for us it wasn’t fried enough, dough was a bit too moist. Will definitely go back to Genki Ya Sushi…even if we saw one or two fruit flies (if you only knew what’s happening in other restaurants’ kitchen but just see it!!!). Our party of 4 felt great, nobody was sick of whatever like we read in another review.

Oishii Boston: what do users think?
Ben Pry: The food and atmosphere at this restaurant is amazing. They Excel at using food preparation as an art form. I highly recommend this to anyone for a unique experience, but it is pretty pricey for what you get and I don't come here very often.
Scott H: Had dinner a few nights ago, was ok but not much impressed. コスパよくないと思う。Chawanmushi - excellent 美味しいChuu toro - so so, had some tendon in it マーマーIkura - not great, the rice was soaked with egg goo.Hamachi - fine.Seaweed salad- ok. The seasoning was nice but seaweed not very fresh.Shrimp tempura roll- fineService - not great, for example waitress had no idea why I was asking about seasonal fish and didn’t care 旬の魚知らなかった. Response was, if we don’t have the fish, we cross it off menu.No serving chopsticks or utensils provided for shared dishes.

Phillip Tran: Had a great experience here both times I've been. Some really unique offerings such as the salmon on fire that have a gimmky presentation but also taste delicious. The fundamentals are great: good selection of sushi to choose from with high quality fish that breaks apart very easily in your mouth.I loved the savoriness of the squid ink pasta. Would definitely recommend this for first time patrons. Also very creative presentations for desert. And delicious too!

Celine Ann Trinidad: Unless you’re ready to spend, maybe Oishii is yet to be for you. If you have some to spare, then it’s definitely worth a try! Their sashimi is one of the freshest I had in Boston.Definitely on the pricier side, but once you’ve tried you’d know why. The effort for the vegetarian options are there, the Vegetarian Truffle maki is done creatively. For dessert, the Coconut Sphere has an interesting flavor profile that must NOT be missed.
Brian Martynowicz: We decided on the Omasake tasting menu and were not disappointed. The server was extremely knowledgeable and explained the dishes in great details. Everything was yummy. Alexander Petersen: Tried the omakase and it was the best I've ever had, and was frankly very impressive. The portions were a lot larger than expected and included several pieces of fish per dish which was nice. It really felt like the food justified the price. Sam Jiang: For a $30 Seafood Udon Soup, I would expect more variety of good quality ingredients, but I got 10 small shrimps and some frozen imitation seafoods that you can get from any Asian market for less than $5. I would have walked out and went to any different places in south Boston for food with better price, but I was invited there by friends so did not want to be rude. I feel bad for my friends since she could have saved money.....
javier rivero: Great Japanese restaurant in Boston! Traditional Japanese cuisine, fresh ingredients, top ultra fresh quality, we love the sea urchin sashimi! Seafood risotto, and amazing deserts! The restaurant is cozy, private and with friendly staff…
Frankie Li: Service was awful. We(me and my friend) were assigned to a 6-seat table, then another waiter came and said we were in the wrong table, but this person said it was our fault to choose this table, and the attitude was rude.Food is normal, but price is high-end. Not worth it, AVOID!(unless you wanna have an experience about rude service&normal food with extremely high price.

Joce Noyes: Let the record show, Douzo Sushi has got me to eat 'seafood'. As someone who was raised by New Englanders, who broiled everything, and we never a fan of spices. I hated when it was fish night. Everything tasted bland, and fishy. The food here is delicious, and doesn't have that taste that makes you think you've made a massive mistake. I have yet to have a bad meal from here. My only compliant, and I tried octopus and the slices were so thick, I couldn't get thru them. Ask for thinly sliced next time, lesson learned. Thank you for getting me out of my comfort zone.
Y W: I deeply regret choosing this as my first meal in Boston. From Miso soup to wagyu, none of the dishes were tasty. If you're from a city with decent Japanese restaurants (like LA, Chicago, or major East Asia cities), avoid this place.

TravelCat Supreme: The food is good. I found the staff to be pretentious. I was dining alone and was never offered a table in the restaurant area, only the bar. Apparently, dining alone is not worth an actual table with a real chair. The young woman with the blue hair who helped me in the bar area couldn't even bother to smile. She was MUCH friendlier to the two guys who also sat in the bar area. There is better service out there.
Ashton Laurent: Visited for my spouse's birthday recently. He went for a few sushi rolls, while I had a house salad and basic chicken teriyaki with fried rice. My salad (with dressing on the side, so it's not like it was anything but greens and fried onions on top!) somehow took far longer to get than my spouse's starters, and we needed to ask twice for it.His rolls were "alright" but my dinner was awful. The fried rice was gummy and sticky, and the chicken tasted and smelled like it was due for the garbage bin. I took a few bites but left the rest alone - I'm not looking to risk illness for overpriced, underwhelming chicken teriyaki. The service was okay, and the restaurant itself had a really confusing ambiance. Thankfully there are a hundred other restaurants in the area that can do it better.

PABU Izakaya Boston: what do users think?
Ismail Elgadi: Praying they reopen. Best sushi experience in MA!
Olivier Discazeaux (Discaz): One of the best japanese meal I ever had. No need to go to Japan to experience wonderful flavors. (I am kidding of course) Go to Papu Izakaya in Boston! although it is way more expensive here. Service was outstanding with a waiter making you feel immediatly comfortable.
Alex Burns: Not good, confirmed my reservation, ended up being closed. Had us wait 2 hours for another uber order just for it to be closed. Never bothering with that place
Stella Chen: I hope the restaurant reopens soon since most covid restrictions are now lifted!
Sm M: I had a wonderful experience at PABU. Started with an appetizer and ended with a beef tar tar which was one of the best I’ve had. They also have some great wagu. It’s a shame they are temporarily closed as I loved to frequent here.Inside, they have a wonderful environment and the staff were very kind as well. Can’t wait until they reopen!
Jonathan Cheng: Happy hour items are great. Convenient location to get to
Hui Yu: Not worth for the price, went during restaurant week and the service was terrible. Seafood are not as fresh as I used to have in New York.
Doug Jacobs: Good sushi in an elegant atmosphere, with many special varieties of fish available. Best Japanese whiskey selection in the city, including no longer sold aged varieties. Portions are very small though, and very expensive for what you get (don't waste your money with the 3 plain pieces of broccoli for $8). Will possibly return for special occasions, but I'll stick with the other local sushi restaurants for most meals.
Renee B: Drinks weren't worth the money. Neither was the seafood, which was just watery with no flavor and my waitress seemed she would rather be elsewhere than there offering assistance/answering questions. The sushi roll was best of what I had there.
Joe Lemaire: Amazing food & service. Great atmosphere. A little pricey, but definitely a 'get what you pay for' kind of place!
Hakung Wong: Fantastic wagyu beef and sushi! And the sake is terrific as well.
Shirly Spikes: We waited for almost an hour for the food to arrive. After receiving the food, we realized we ordered more things that didn't show up, we basically gave up cause we didn't feel like waiting for another hour. This place is really good but was super expensive for an experience that wasn't that good.I have to say that the bartender was awesome and she deserves full applause.
Jessica Ialacci: This was, literally, the best meal I've ever had. The staff was so kind and attentive
Jason Williams: Cool spot but pricey
Bab El Ehr: I’ve been coming to Pabu for several years and this is the best place for Sushi in the city. I’ve enjoyed my dining experience each time, always impressed.Reservations are necessary for the weekends, but on the weekdays you’ll be able to walk in almost always. An elevator greets you as you walk in the door to take you up one flight, where the restaurant is located. The atmosphere is great, large bar right when you walk into the area, wood covering the room with many subtle Japanese accents. The servers are all very knowledgeable and willing to explain any dishes or ingredients you might not be familiar with. Their sushi menu is extensive, along with their whiskey and sake offerings. Fresh seafood is their specialty, and the oysters are excellent! This is a gem in Boston, although expensive, you get what you pay for, a great meal and atmosphere.
James Pinkerton: A great range of flavorful options, excellent service, and great presentation. Our cocktails were delightful; our waitperson was knowledgeable and full of on-point recommendations.
Ham burglar: We really enjoyed Pabu. I want to go back already as now I know you HAVE to focus in on the sushi. All of it is amazing. We had the $25 & $27 sushi rolls and they were delcious worth a capitol " D " !! My second favorite item was the fried mushrooms. So damned good, get it.our server was actually knowledgeable on the cocktails and ingredients. The sushi chefs need more personality as they gove off a "dont bother us" vibe and I'm used to having some light conversation from them when sitting at the bar. Here, nothing. They constantly spoke in there language to further add the diacomfort
Azzam Alnahed: If the manager is shocked you said the food is amazing, then you should probably go somewhere else.Super pretentious.
Katerina Gonzalez: If it was a bit better value could have earned a 3. Service was not very good (ignored allergies and had 5 different waiters) and food was mediocre despite the hype. We did the omakase luxury. Lots of garnishes that were not edible (like kelp) and piles of raw cabbage with the wagyu. Just not a whole lot of care in each dish. Beware of the red bean dessert - it was a Chef’s afterthought. Left hungry.
Emily Bonoyer: Sat at the bar. Suzae was wonderful. Delicious cocktails and great serv
Chris Shipley: Cocktails, sushi, and skewers: fantastic. Ask for Suzae at the bar!

No Relation: what do users think?
Jaz C: Stiff atmosphere. Sushi was fine but most of the pieces were blowtorched/aburi-ed. They will ask everyone individually nearing the end if you would like to add one of their luxurious add-ons (think caviar, wagyu etc.) for additional $ which left a sour taste in our mouth. Will hit up other spots in the future for a more encompassing and sincere experience.
Toki Chavez: I just celebrated my birthday here with 10 other ppl .. It was an amazing experience .. I would definitely recommendFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Crystal Ma: Food is good and the service has been great. The reason for this three star is that I personally do not like to be asked about if I want to add extra stuff to what I have already paid for. I dun mind you guys raise the price so everything will be covered and no more selling at the spot. plus for someone who doesn’t know much about sake and wine, it would be great if there are recommendations with each course
Alex Fung: first omakase in my lifethe sashimi is of really high qualityFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Daphne Fong: Phenomenal. The courses were diverse and the treatment of each piece let the fish shine while still incorporating a mix of traditional and more unusual flavors. The langoustine (an a la carte option) was a surprise and a true delight. I appreciated the attention to smaller details, such as when the chef noticed I ate left-handed and presented the sushi accordingly. No Relation stands out not just in Boston, but against the multitude of omakase options in nearby NYC as well. NYC prices seem to be going sky-high while quality declines and a majority of restaurants coalesce around identical menus. In comparison, No Relation was an exceptional meal that was very reasonably priced. A must-visit if you're in the area!
Teresa L: As soon as we sat down, my partner and I looked at each other and commented on how awkwardly low the seats are. So low that you have to make extra effort when reaching for the sushi.Staff were very friendly. Nice ambience, nice background music. However The sushi was just okay. Not worth the price tag.
Summer Wang: I’m a big sushi fan and love to try out Japanese cuisine around the world. This is the best omakase sushi you can get in Boston. The restaurant is tiny so make sure you reserve a seat at least a few weeks in advance. I would love to give a 5 star but unfortunately there are some down points. It was a 5 out of 5 the first time we visit, but the score has going down after. First of all, they don’t really change the menu, so you end up having a fixed setting each time. Which takes out the whole surprise of the Omakase experience. Secondly, the quality of the sushi rice varies. Sometimes it was amazing and sometimes was pretty bad rice felt apart when picking the sushi up. Besides that, this restaurant is really really good and I highly recommend to everyone who loves sushi. The fish was always with great quality and the chief was super friendly and skillful. My personal favorite is the sommeliers. They are extremely knowledgeable with sake!
Tom Linton: Ate there tonight. If you want Michelin quality in Boston look here. Amazing private sushi experience. Just outstanding.
Andrew and Kharis: Everything you could ask for in an omikase experience. Each bite was unique and delicious! Amazing chefs and staff - all knowledgeable. Really personal and tailored experience (we are left handed and the chef rotated our bites so it was easier to pick up) Was also fun to go to Shore Leave bar before dinner!
G M C: O Ya is much better in Boston, as is Oishii….
Hyewon Lim: HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE OMGIt was my first Omakase in my life and it was fantastic. The chefs were very friendly telling us the ingredients and their seasonal menu. I loved how they interact with customers and prepare each piece. I could feel how people in this area love food.
Amanda Lans: I had my first omakase experience at No Relation. The entire experience is very intimate and an enjoyable journey. The chefs naturally deliver a symphony of flavors in single bites which I can highly recommend. Alexi, who takes care of drinks, is an absolute pleasure and an expert on what is served. Overall I highly recommend this high quality experience to anyone it speaks to!
Evelyn Wang: Definitely love it! The food and services match the price, and 14 courses can totally fill me up. I always thought I hate Akami, but the one I tried here really change my mind.Dine in: Yes …More
Lisa Hart: My son took me here for a Christmas present. It was very good. The sushi was amazing. The sushi chef was talented and friendly. A wonderful experience.Dine in: Yes …More
Peter Chum: Some of the best sushi I ever had everything was so fresh and so good it’s a little pricey but well worth it
Andre Alguero: I don’t get to enjoy sushi often these days but when I do, I try to find the best I can. The last time I had sushi was a few months ago at Sushi Yasuda in Manhattan and it was an incredible night. No Relation was an excellent experience for me on par with the best places in N,A.that I have had the good fortune to try. The small atmosphere is unique attribute that brings the enjoyment to another level as an intimate group experience. Thank you for a wonderful evening
Barry Waters: Overall fine experience but not what it used to be. The original sushi chef Colin lynch who opened the place was so knowledgeable and really explained the fish and stuff throughout the dinner. Now it’s just like “here is your awesome fish, enjoy”.
Jordi Llobet: The food is just amazing. Pick the Sake pairing, 100% worth it. I’ll go back for sure.
david we: Great experience and fantastic sushi at the No relation Omakase. The chefs were very friendly explaining the ingredients and their seasonal menu with us. I loved how you could add on to the experience at the end with special rolls and A5 wagyu.

Avana Sushi: what do users think?
Sarah Baldwin: Ordered the maxi combo. The tuna and salmon were fine but the spicy yellowtail was inedible. Never tasted crunchy fish until today. Don’t order that
Charles Gobert: I’ve been to this sushi place multiple times and it never disappoints! The sushi are great and they always taste fresh.Recommended dishes Sushi …More
lschopf: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Lee Breslow: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 1/5More
Jeffrey Marquez: Awesome sushi
Ross Cobo-Lewis: lunch special is such good sushi for $15
Adonis ElFakih: This is a hole in the wall sushi place. The food is very fresh and delicious, there are few chairs to sit on when you order in, but they do a lot of take out and delivery. People come from all over the world to eat here and leave small personaly decorated dishes for others to see when they visit themselves. It is right the corner inside with other sushi kiosks so you have to go into the building to see it.Parking: No parking available except for the paid parking lots $18 - $29 or if you get lucky and find a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible
Sam Anderson: Sushi that is ok. Not bad not great. Best for takeout no real dining area.
Simon Lei: Decent, would go back but nothing special
Andrew Villanueva: Bruh this place is hella cheap. Rangoons have so little filling, maybe half a teaspoon? So you're basically eating fried wonton wrapper. Avocado was hard as a rock. Never seen a place charge extra for soy wrapper. Asked for extra wasabi and they ended up not even giving enough for one person. Ingredients did not taste fresh either.
M I: It was definitely fresh and yummy!Don't let the weird set up fool you. Broken English spoken but they are very nice.
F K: Tempura roll was stale and fish eggs were not fresh- very hard.
Gabriel Hernandez: Poor portions of sushi but reasonably priced. Guess you get what you pay for not one of my favorites sushi places.
Zoe Matacchiera: So good! Going to a show at the Opera Theatre nearby and just walked in, and I’m glad I did!! Incredible sushi and great prices! I will definitely be back!
Jade Kramer: Solid sushi!
Salvatore Albano: Absolutely elite sushi for the price. Friendly service and great vibes. My personal go-to
Alexandria Schmall: Delicious, fresh sushi! Great hospitality too. Will be back!
Thomas McKeon: Excellent tasting sushi. Hard to find so don't give up. It's part of a group of food stands inside a single storefront. I took my sushi out to eat because the inside of the place was just ok. Most customers order for delivery.
Michele Lorenzetti: I NEVER RECEIVED THE FOODAVOID THIS RESTAURANT
