Boston University Swimming Lessons: what do users think?
Louis Keen: Nice pool
Betsy Yates: Really nice instructor and a great facility for swim lessons - lower lighting, small pool ideal for young learners. Not sure if it was a scheduling snafu between swim meets and community swim time, but one of our lessons was overtaken by lap swimmers which made it impossible for our kid to do his lesson laps. Called main office, but they weren’t very concerned.
Chris Karl: Various classes for all ages. Visit the BU fitrec website for details. Classes don't require BU affiliation.
Pruthvi Reddy: The pool is top notch worth it
Bill Nash: Top notch operation from the pool manager (Dave) to the Vice President of Construction, and the Project Manager with whom I met with almost daily. I found them to be very demanding, but also very helpful, as my company restored a somewhat dilapidated competition swimming pool bulkhead. With the bulkhead completed, and substantial restoration of the entire pool finished by the general contractor, this years competition will be in a pool that looks as good as, or possibly even better than, the year the pool and the bulkhead were brand new.Guests should be sure to bring cameras and video recorders, because this year promises to be unforgettable.

Goldfish Swim School - Brookline: what do users think?
Bena Apreala: Sent my daughter (4 years old) here for 8 months.Good for becoming familiar with the water. Hyper friendly staff. Didn’t learn much, but was a step forward from being unfamiliar with the water. 3/5 stars because it’s welcoming and well run, but not the best at teaching kids to swim. Is a good stepping stone for a more involved and effective swim school. Also: Kids typically have a different teacher every week, slightly hindering progress due to the fact that they are unaware of each students needs
Sara O'Connor: I LOVE this place!! The staff is so friendly and my kids love coming. The facility is fun clean and bright.
Andrew Kazakoff: Staff is highly experienced and handles all kids well. They know exactly what to do in every situation. They are easy to schedule with and the price is very reasonable for the high quality service that they give.
William Jones: It is nice for kids and teens
Donielle Buie: Love the warm pool for all my kids, including one with a chronic illness. The structure of the classes helps the kids make real progress!
Patrick S: A well run and efficient center that is expensive and ineffective at teaching kids to swim.My kids attended from September 2021 until June 2022 and neither progressed in their ability to swim. Is this because my children are flawed, or is it because the instructors are ineffective? My older child faced many changes in instructors over this time, limiting his ability to develop any kind of consistency. Obviously the new staff he saw each week were unaware of his history and unable to encourage him effectively to overcome his fears. My daughter did have a consistent instructor, but he focused primarily on getting kids comfortable with water and sped through the skills without teaching them.In all this time the kids were supposed to be evaluated monthly. My son was only evaluated four times and my daughter three. My son progressed on only two of the ten skills evaluated. My daughter progressed on two and went backwards on five. The place is clean and efficient. The staff are friendly. But what’s the point if they don’t learn to swim?(And to the manager who responds to negative reviews with a request for a call, don’t bother. I did call. Your staff responded “well, kids are at different levels.” Yes, and it’s your job to teach them so that they progress.)
Ber Almeida: My 6 year old was not very pleased with the academy, and one day there was an issue they had with staff calling out. The manager Tim stepped in and was able to offer very surprising and amazing options, he asked Anna to take the class, she was very sweet and patient. After that session my kid said that was the best class she ever had at the school. I understand that there are issues in business but the way to handle situations and solve those issues, Tim was really kind and really exceeded our expectations. If we stay in the Brookline area, we will continue to attend. Also a big shout out to Mak, for her loving way to teach and the positive impact she has made in my 3 year old daughter, Tess will always remember you with a smile.
David Fidler: Good set up for young kids learning to swim
Robert Jones: Rude instructors, disorganized and unprofessional.
sarah barrett: My son, Finnegan, wouldn't put his face in the water before coming to Goldfish - after his first 30 minute trial lesson, he was eager to go back. Within a month he was begging for more time in the water at the end of his lessons. Within a few more weeks, he was putting his face in the water in the shower after class - without his goggles! He has made incredible improvement and I am so thrilled and impressed by his success. Thank you Goldfish Brookline!! Ps. I love that you give out ribbons at the end of each class - we have them hanging in his room - it provides such motivation & positive reinforcement!!
Paivi Albaiti: Warm water, great teachers and pleasant atmosphere, my kids are finally enjoying their swimming classes!
R. Swartz: They are not transparent with their no refund policy. No mention was made upon payment, nor are there any signs on location stating "no refund." The staff is not accommodating to parents that are paying the high membership fees! The staff at the front desk is rude and not willing at all to help. Good luck getting a call back. You would think they would be welcoming and a little more warm to someone who was sending their kid there for 4 months of lessons.
Sarena Nichol: My kids (6 and 9) loved lessons at Goldfish. They've been asking to do more lessons since our week long intensive this summer. My only complaint is how fast lessons are filled up. We missed our chance to sign up for the last session.
Paola Michelle Contreras: I thought the parent-child swim classes for my daughter were excellent. She became used to the water and learned quickly that water can be fun and also something to be careful in. She quickly understood that the edge of the pool was the safest place to be. We attended when she was in her early twos for about six months. I tried to transition her to independent classes per the instructors suggestion but I didn't think that it was a good fit. She really hated being with the instructors without me and I gave up after six weeks of protest. However, I liked the environment enough that I might try to take her back after she has started pre-school and more used to separating from us.
Brocc: My son 5yrs has been at Goldfish Swim classes since around the end of June and before he was very afraid of water, after months he is able to swim, go deep under the water, float and he loves to go to his classes, every kid has a different time frame to learn and sometimes could take time. I highly recommend the Goldfish Swim School, my son enjoy to learn swim techniques and I enjoy watch his progress, thanks to the instructor Adrian.
Janet Williams: My great granddaughter has enjoyed attending swim classes, she’s on vacation in Florida, but will resume her classes in the fall. She is more confident in exercising the various skills to help her learn to swim and navigate the water. Her instructors have always shown patience and care with each of their participants. She has been practicing some of her techniques here in Florida! We look forward to returning soon.(Score 10 out of 10)
Angela Perez: It is a safe and clean environment for the kids and staff are very professional they watch every single step of the swimmers, my daughter was afraid first two times but after she is confidence and every Friday she is very excited to try again. She is learning so fast
Ariana Serrano: This swim school is absolutely HORRIBLE. $171 a month for what ? My 3 year old son goes here and all they do is sit him on the ledge half the time and he’s either by himself or with one other kid. The instructors always look MISERABLE, even the girls at the front desk. A YMCA is so much better than this.
Antonio Aurelio Fagundes Jr.: My kid had a terrible experience at Goldfish Brookline. I would never recommend it.
Jackie Palacios: Very good place for all kids type of ages to learn how to swim and learn to have fun inside the water.Instructors are very patient, friendly and know what they're doing when it comes teaching kidsThe only thing I recommend is if kids are doing above and beyond and trying their best with their lessons to continue rewarding them like they where doing before. My son loves it and his been going there since 2018
Lena Kikuchi: Great place for kids to learn to swim. Friendly staff, very well trained and organized. Space is bright and very clean. Flexible make up schedules and very accommodating to fit your family's needs! Highly recommended!

MIT Recreation - Swim Lessons: what do users think?
bruno korbar: An amazing facility, which is super friendly for non-MiT people. Make sure to bring your own lock!Edit:“Post” covid, the non-MIT prices went up and the towel service became an additional expense, something I cannot fathom to justify. It’s still the best facility in Boston, but one has to think twice about the cost-effectiveness of it.
Aruna S: My favourite thing to do at MIT outside of research. I love Stef, the swimming instructor. Hands down the best swimming instruction -- she's so fun, so good at teaching and always mixes it up w different strokes. Thank you for teaching me how to swim, Stef! You ROCK.
Brady Ward: Never been but I want to know do they have public swimming still with covid
Mabel Zhang: Greatly improved my swimming taking group lessons here. Took a handful of classes. Great instructors. Serious lessons from beginner to advanced, makes you feel like you're getting quality instruction, unlike the average lesson at a Y. Awesome clean spacious facility.
Venkatesh Rane: Great place to get a one day pass for $8 with student ID and $15 without. This sports facility has some great place to workout and play sports.
Andy Christensen: Amazing place! Needs to be experienced.
Guy Rosenzweig: The facility seems modern but sometimes there are annoying quirks, like the water in the showers fluctuating in temperature. The water in the teaching pool is kept cold during toddler classes for some reason. my son keeps shivering. Complaining didn't help. In my opinion they charge MIT postdocs way too much for a membership. The annual fee is ~$500 while at Harvard postdocs pay $30 annually!!!
Steven Warwick: Decent place but they are not always open, like during school breaks.
Mehmet Kanik: Nice sport complex. it is expensive and some part of it is old. But the best in the area.
Philip Thompson: Awesome pool. Masters swimmers are welcomed.
Nicolas Vachicouras: Great fitness center with a lot of room and not too crowded.
Siddharth Gupta: Great facility- couldn't image life at MIT without this!
Michael Giacomelli: Enormous facility with a tiny, crowded weight room.
Yi-Hsin Lin: Great pool, but check the weekly schedule first to make sure there isn't a special event when you want to go.
Сергей Муратов: A premium class gym, swimming pool and a bunch of other activities combines in a single place. Worth visiting at least once if you have an MIT ID since it's all free for you.

Abul Azam: I like the way staff are treats people

bruno korbar: Really good facility for the price. Limited availability for to COVID, but I really appreciate the high cleanliness standards.
Deborah Grace: The pool and locker room was clean. The showers were clean and the water was warm
Maria R: Has faced with my grandkids
Lisa Jorge: Excellent pool.. all staff so kind & professional
Sean O'Connor: Professional staff, clean facilities, good classes
Jacky Bernal: First time I have been here. Went to a pool party and my kids enjoyed a lot because they could play with their water toys without being yell to get them out. So please don't get me wrong they were enough life safe guards to protect the children and grown up s. But see how the parents and children were interacting make me think to book a party for my own children.
Beatriz Alvarez: The pool is clean and the staff are friendly
Michelle Corbin: Pool was awesome warm which was great
Hussien Ashorobi: Good place to go to just to get away during the hot summer days. They have grills outside to cook on just have to get there early. At times you may run into people jumping into the pool in just under wear which I consider unsanitary. But what do you expect whith a bunch of kids running the pool?
Yomna A. Morad: Water is clean & warm, dressing room has lockers available for free, & private shower partitions
Jose Rosa: The water is very cleanThe people on the other hand isn’t so cool if u don’t know how to swim please find another pool to learn
Beatrice Excellent: Great program for kids
Adrian Gaines: I love the Mason pool I go swimming and dont have to worry about getting sick the pool is nice and clean but and Mrazolla is one of the nicest guys there along with uh er life guards
Contina: Ok
Massachusetts01: An undiscovered gem! Great pool. Very clean and not crowded. Aqua Aerobic class on Saturday morning is the best!
ladyv200: I have taken water aerobics at Mason pool and was very happy. The instructor was very pleasant and I got a great workout in the pool. Excellent place for swimming.
Milena Gil: Awesome place to host parties, clean and organized and the stuff is very helpful.
Chelsea King: It's a nice, welcoming environment with a small parking lot but fairly easy street parking. If you aren't swimming, know that it is HOT inside so wear a t-shirt and be prepared to sit on the ground.

Kennedy Pool: what do users think?
Sketches for you: We won our first home meet here.
Sam Kubakz: The water is clean but the staff apply too many protocols to the adult lanes. Discounts available for Somerville residents.
J L: Pool always slimy and dirty. Adolescent staff surly when they're not inattentive. Lockers frequently broken into.Health and safety hazard. AVOID!
Morgan Pilkenton: Family swim was warm and wonderful.
Yishen Li: Clean water and facilities. Super nice staff! Discounts available for Somerville residents.
Johnson Ramsaur: Great pool, staff and Covid protocols. Would be AMAZING if accepted options other than small-bill cash (credit, Venmo, etc.)

Meifeng Jiang: Good

Olsen Swimming Pool Fun park: what do users think?
Carla Sheffield: Loved it, will be back with my grandchildren
slendy gaming: Many bugs in this pool many fights life the life guards can’t even do their job right.
SwaG&Nuni Tejeda: So fun the pool is great for kids and teenagers i recommend coming here 😎
Deborah Antonios: Very nice water park..Clean and safe for toddlers. Didn't know this was here so came unprepared
WIneska De Jesus: I have 6 kids 3 which went in the pool earlier and now all of a sudden after my 3 oldest went to get wet and in the pool and they left when they took their break and when they was trying to go back in there all of a sudden because their age they couldn’t go back in and I tried speaking with the lifeguard about what was the issue from earlier and when they was trying to go in and they used the excuse of they are in full capacity shouldn’t the rule be follow all the time not just when it’s convenient and they was letting people who was under the age of 18 going in Im sorry but I just don’t get it and to use that as an excuse afterwards make no sense rules should be followed the whole time not just when it’s convenient for them and lifeguard needs to learn how to speak to people and cut the attitude the sprinklers was fun for my 3 little ones
Javier VIllafuerte: Great pool for the kids, they love it. The lifeguards take a 15 minutes break around 1245 so everyone has to go out and wait for them to come back, bring a chair if you want to be confortable.
Sharnette Manuel: Omg come...have a cook out....enjoy the pool....enjoy the water sprinklers. ..I had a ball
Maria R: The pool was closed
Ashaina Bonafacia: Super leuke plek voor verjaardagen. Kinderen kunnen spelen en volwassenen kunnen veilig barbecuen
Cecile Braun-Jones: Great pool, clean facilities, only hard surfaces around the pool so bring a chair or don't mind sitting on concrete when out of the pool.Next to the pool (but need to exit the pool completely to access) there is an awesome spray deck/splash pad w two large shaded area. And across the parking lot a great playground. Fun for hours!
Luz Garcia: Fun place
Keon Monteiro: I love the place I come there every day
Roman S: Всё отлично!Вода холодная даже когда на улице под +40°C, но не снижать же из-за этого оценку! Особенно когда плюсы просто зашкаливают - доступность (бесплатно), скамейки и даже навес для ожидающих и чистота на территории.
Iris Castillo: Good place to share with family
Monalisa Campbell: Loved it for my girls going again
queen boston: Recommend for the kids love this place
Daniel Alvira: Great for the entire family!!
Venecia Phillip: Loved here kids had so much fun. The rain came heavily that day, but it didn't stop me. I live any kind out water.
lauren peter: Only thing that would have made it better would have been more shade
Elliott McNamee: Pool is free to enter. Goes from 3-4.5 ft. deep, no diving. Didn’t see any capacity restrictions or restricted swimming times.
Isabella Castillo: These people ARE annoying, the employee's are rude and they take half an hour pool checkes EVERY 20 MINUTES! (do not recomend if you want to stay th the water 24/7)
