Bill Wass: I'm in the service business.I love service!The treatment that I received at Middlesex Truck & Coach for absolutely astonishing....they've been in business many years....I've done business with Middlesex Truck and Coach for over 16 years.....wouldn't go anywhere else..a little after midnight on Thursday one of my vehicles made contact with a stanchion ripped at least 8 feet of the side....no time is a good time but I had another vehicle in the shop.....I had jobs to do..weddings with this vehicle....inspection for a big job in August....what was I going to do....Brian Maloney Jr. ( co-owner along with his dad,of Middlesex Truck & Coach) got my bus at 3:30 pm on Thursday....cut the piece out ...installed a temporary piece ( he,himself and one of his dedicated employees) and I was back in action....I feel truly honored to have Brian and his entire staff in my life....if you have a truck or bus thats requires body,frame work , painting.....you too must find the favor of the Middlesex Truck & Coach team

No Name: 5 stars awesome staff and skilled. While I only stopped in Portside Truck Repair for a Mass Inspection Renewal for my Mazda, I was met with kindness and professionalism all the way through. I interacted with 3 staff members and every single one was polite with extreme professional. The staff was very diverse and kept a clean shop! I recommend this establishment for inspection renewals and I am sure they do great service work as well. Keep up the excellence folks.

Boston Solutions: Took my GMC 3500 to Portside to fix an ongoing low fuel rail pressure issue while towing my trailer uphill. I explained to them that this was the second shop I’ve taken it to and was already $4k into repairs with no resolution. I suspected it could only be injectors or cp3 pump.The guy at the counter was nice and understanding and seemed to listen to all the work I already had performed on the truck (to prevent repeat). He took the keys and said he would let me know what they find, but never took my number down or chief complaint. I politely reminded him and he quickly wrote my number on MY key tag... This was the first time I got a funny feeling about leaving the truck there.The next day I get a call that there was oil in the Intercooler piping and the truck appears to be loosing boost at the connectors. He ordered the parts and would replace on Monday. (Duramax engines are known to leak oil into the intercooler lines and the only way to prevent it is to do a PCV valve reroute which is only a GM recommended fix)... I agreed to the repairs as I’ve seen the pipes and it seemed as replacement could only help.Fast forward to Monday afternoon when I get a call from the tech stating that there was oil in the turbo housing and I would in fact need a new turbo ($3k), new lines, and they will have to drop the transmission to replace it. Quoted me at $5k plus “anything else that might be wrong”, plus labor. Told me I “was better off trading in the vehicle!”I was in shock and told them to put it back together. Told me It would be $850 to get it back.You can watch hundreds of YouTube videos of turbo replacements, and not ONE dropping the trans. It appeared to me that they had no idea what was causing the issues and never even attempted to test the injectors/fuel pump like I had requested.I would have no issue with the price tag if I knew it would be a fuel rail related fix that would likely resolve my issue. But a turbo that has no play, spools up instantly and has little indication of a problem was their first diagnosis? Never even touching the high fuel pressure side of the engine??.. All these people did was jacked up price on parts and exaggerated labor so I would just take my truck back and “trade it in”.I would never recommend Portside unless you have a 8-9 car carrier. All they do is contract work on ‘diversified auto carriers’ truck/trailers as there are hundreds in their yard and bays. They should never advertise to fix anything else.Picked up my truck and the bill magically increased to $981. Another grand into this repair with no resolution. Will never bring my trucks back here.

The other day I heard a scraping noise in the back of my car and called Portside, they had me bring it in, offered me a ride home (I live in Charlestown) and called me shortly with an estimate, just about 4 hours later my car was ready. Two male friends told me the prices for labor and parts were reasonable. They are the best, even have a waiting room if you're stuck there with fully stocked vending machines, everyone is curteous and pleasant.

FBobby: I had a u joint fail on my driveshaft in my Firebird. After calling around to multiple places who said they could not fit me in for at least a week even if i brought them the shaft and the new U-joints, I decided to drive down the street and this place jumped out at me as a place that might be able to get it done. I was greeted by a very friendly staff and when I explained what I needed done they told me they would definitely be able to get it done (even though they were very busy). I dropped it off and within 2 HOURS. It was done and ready to be picked up. These guys went above and beyond to help me in what was a very unlucky situation.

BRG TRANSPORT LLC: Had tires installed and balance. The balance was not done correctly and they broke my sensor. Had to bring it to GOODYEAR COMMERCIAL INSTOUGHTON TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I don't RECOMMEND THEIS PLACE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. They didn't even want to fix their own mistakes. Also they tighten the front tire so much it damage my wheel. Needed a few wheel nuts and I was told it won’t cost more than $300 over the phone. Once the tow truck took my vehicle there I was given a different price. They told me I had to pay $2,000 deposit to get it worked on plus $500 when I pick it up. So from $300 to $2,500 just to replace wheel nuts. I was so mad I had to pay for towing to Rhode Island because they thought I was gonna get ripped off.Worst of the worst. Horrible!

gdfritz: Left car overnight for possible leak in tire. Used his drop box. He advertises $19.85 for tire repair. Charged my daughter $50 for nail in tire. When she questioned him about the charge, he said it was something else and gave her some song and dance about letting her park for free overnight. Who charges for parking with an overnight drop-off service? He did fix the problem, but don't advertise one price and charge another (more than double). Also didn't give a free verbal estimate nor free car wash as advertised on website. Doubt we will go back.

Douglas McKinnon: This place is well worth the money. There is a 45 dollar off special now for inside and outside detailing. I had these stupid bumper stickers on my car, fogged headlights, adhesion from "add on blind spot mirrors" on my side mirrors, scratches on the bumper and paint dings on the hood, and all of that was taken care of. They even had the trim rust sprayed back to black by the body shop. I requested a lot of these things in the walk through with Carlos, the manager, and he was very courteous. Jim, the owner, did a very thorough job explaining what they do at the shop and I couldn't be more pleased. Spend the money and don't be embarrassed about your gross car. :)
