Erin King: This Landbird location apparently recently switched to 100% remote pickup and drop-off only, and when I showed up during business hours the door was locked and no one was there. The representative who answered the phone was not helpful. I tried to return a cargo van here through their partnership with Penske, but when I arrived it was snowing heavily and the parking lot had not been salted or plowed and was impassable. I don't understand how they expect people to drive in and out for these so-called fully remote rentals if they don't go to the effort to maintain the paved area at their physical location.

These go through low clearance ones too ( 9.5 ft ) so that's good on Boston's Storrow drive. The vans are newer and come equipped with all safety features as well as apple car play. Never knew vans came so far!

I’ve rented from Peter Fuller twice for summer trips with my family and each time I’ve gotten a basically brand new Ford Expedition Max. This is not the most convenient place for me to go get a rental because I live 12 or so miles away but I still go here because I appreciate the customer service. I typically don’t leave reviews but felt the need to here because of the exceptional experience I’ve had each time I rented.

Svetla Georgieva: This was my second time renting a car from Peter Fuller Rental. The first time was a couple of years ago without any issues. A while after returning the car an additional amount was charged on my debit card but I contacted them and they reimbursed me right away so no big deal since I caught it.This time I rented a car for 3 days for work- I needed to travel to Lawrence. On day 2, while driving on the highway I felt the front passenger tire blow. Thankfully I was able to pull over right away since I was in the exit lane. The tire is pictured below. In a panic, I called Peter Fuller Rentals to explain the situation and ask what to do since I had paid for insurance with them. The guy on the phone laughed at me and said "Have you never rented a car before?"- they didn't cover the tires. Ok, that was fine. He said there should be a spare in the trunk- I checked and there wasn't one. When I told him this, he said repeatedly "Yes there is, there is a spare in the trunk". When I told him there isn't one again, he kept repeating "I saw a spare in the trunk, there is a spare there." mocking me. I was becoming upset at this point, as I was being mocked and bullied on the phone and in a terrible situation. After speaking with highway assistance who told me due to the tire's condition it was likely caused by under inflation of the tire, which then heated up and exploded, I called the rental place again to let them know. I was again mocked and bullied being told "you will pay for the tire, say it before you hang up that you will pay for it, say it", and "how do you know you didn't hit a nail, we put air in the tires before you picked up the car". I was becoming more upset as I was being treated horribly and the tire was shredded all around. I hung up with him, called a tow truck and went to a shop to get the tire replaced so I can drive back home to Boston safely. That night I emailed Peter Fuller with the details of the incident and the photos below. I called the next day and was told "the car doesn't come with a spare" (shouldn't they have one if they're renting it out?), "how do you know you didn't hit a nail" (please see tire picture- that wasn't caused by hitting a nail), and "it was a slow leak which you didn't notice, you shouldn't have been driving the car with a slow leak, that was your mistake to not notice". To which I informed them that I was told it was likely a slow leak by the mechanic and highway assistance, and a slow leak takes longer than a day and a half to make a tire explode. They would have likely known about it for a while.Finally asked if I can be reimbursed for the tire to which I was told I will be.This business reacted to the incident in a way that wasn't a surprise to them- they have gotten these complaints before and know to be defensive and deny any claims right away. I saw other negative reviews here where they did not take responsibility and blamed the customer. Their customer service is excellent UNTIL something happens and then they will refuse to take any responsibility. My life was put in danger- I could have killed someone on the highway driving with a car in this condition. Be careful, as it is a gamble to rent from them. You may have a wonderful experience with a low price rental and you don't have to use a credit card, but as soon as your car breaks down they will not take any responsibility. Thankfully I was able to hold my ground and was reimbursed.
Steven Downey: I was fed up with renting cars out of Logan where you're charged a daily fee for the toll transponder even if you need it only once to get out of the airport. Great to find Peter Fuller Rental who does Logan pick up and drop off. It's a local business and everything was so easy. I look forward to renting from him again next year.

They ask for a large cash deposit and make sure you get a receipt because you will not get it all back and they are rude when you tell them there wrong or one of there employees stole the money they hang up on you so be careful you don’t get ripped off like I did. I gave 500$ cash deposit and only got 200$ back. I was told they put it in my card and they didn’t they (Jeff) took it in cash and refused to give it back told me to call (Jim) in the morning (he hung up on me when I accused (Jeff) of stealing it, I only had a debit card to rent with, that’s why I needed a 500$ cash deposit which was okay because there was 5 of pitching in for the SUV we rented, there was 3 of us there when I gave the 500$ but Jim the manager didn’t want to hear that, he hung up on me. What a waste of breath that was. So now we are each out 60$ because he did take the 200$ off that he says we gave for a deposit. To top that off I was never told there was a limit to the mileage till the day I rented and he knew we was going to Canada you think while in the phone he might want to mention that then, not the night we are picking up the SUV to leave for Canada, had I know ahead of time we may have gone with enterprise unlimited mileage. If I could give no stars that’s what they would get what a horrible experience.

Kelli Gambee: I'm pretty happy with my experience. The man at the counter was so friendly! The car itself is clean but it runs a little rough. nothing that I don't feel safe but it's a bit worn. I would use it again here in Boston.
Derek Quick: Employees were extremely helpful and friendly, car was less than adequate however. Had to return one for maintenance and the next one also had mechanical and luxury item issues. Wheel bearings, USB port ect. Other than that Budget employees made the transaction(s) easy
jason chu: I declined toll coverage at vehicle pick up and was told the item on my contract was simply a credit card hold that would be refunded on drop off. It was not. This is fraud.
Mark Weisbrod: Avoid at all costs. Wanted to change credit card for payment when car was returned. Told to take photo of mileage and gas gauge on dash, then go to Customer Service. Did so, Customer Service was closed, so went inside and stood in line at main check in area. Person at desk complained that I did not do what I should AND it was a hassle for him. In fact, I had done exactly what I was told do to. He then suggested I did not fill the car up, which I obviously had. He suggested I was untruthful about filling up car, as if I want to cheat Budget out of $2. Then I asked for a manager, who also did not believe my photo and made me wander around the lot with her looking for the car so she could be sure I was not a cheat or liar. So much for trusting customers or showing respect to customers. Not nice. Avoid this place at all costs. Car they provided was broken when given go me, but they did not tell me. Nice touch. Pricing was not great either. There are much better alternatives. Use them at your peril.

Keyrose Experience: Employees lie and are rude about the fees and when you drop off your car. Trying to sneak in hidden fees and upsell you after you've already made a reservation for the car. Definitely not doing this again through Budget or Avis. I've had better experiences with Enterprise. The only reason I went with Budget was because it was cheaper to bundle it with my flight but I rather pay a little more for a better experience than what this was. Nobody was there when I dropped off my car and when someone did show up they just rudely said to leave the keys and go.

Pat Murphy: When I received my bill I had an additional $53.09 charged to me. When I called to ask why they said it was for unlimited tolls. I never requested this, who would pay $53.09 for tolls?? I was only in town for 2 days!!! The agent never told me about this. To me this is no different than stealing. The person I spoke to on the phone said she could offer me a 50% discount off the charge, are your joking?? Steal $53.09 from me and offer me half back!!! Never again, can't wait to tell this story over and over to anyone who will listen!

Tracy Peacock: Horrible customer service. Due to a paperwork error my return was never processed and Budget claimed I was still in possession of a vehicle 10 days after I returned it. I was in regular contact with customer service and never was connected with anyone who could provide helpful information or help to resolve the issue- all while being notified from loss prevention that I was in violation of my contract. The situation was very stressful and once resolved I received no confirmation from Budget that they had the vehicle, and explanation as to what happened, or an apology for the confusion. All I received was a receipt for the amount I prepaid, plus an additional unexplained $80 charge. if you rent from Budget be sure to get a receipt at the time of return. Keep track of your vehicle license plate and the names of all people you interact with, to avoid any confusion and extra fees. Truly disappointing experience.
VERA EVANS: Great experience this year with Budget vs a horrible experience several years ago with Hertz. We flew into Boston for a retreat in Maine. We got an upgrade on the car (no extra cost) and checking the car back in was so easy. With Hertz several years ago it was a nightmare that continued long after the trip was over. The two people who checked us in were very nice but unfortunately I only got the name of the man (Mustafa) but didn't catch the name of the woman working with him. Both worked together really well to get the car checked in, get me a receipt and give us directions about getting to the airport. It was so smooth and easy I would definitely recommend Budget to anyone who needs to rent a car.
Al Gleason: Rented online before reaching the airport rental garage. The agent at the garage was very helpful and finished up our rental quickly. He was also knowledgeable of the area and helped with good directions to exit the airport and find our route.

Emilio Perez: Mustafa asked if I was on time getting to the airport when I dropped off my rental. I replied by saying if I can get a ride there, it would be great so he offered to take me. When I went to check in at airport I found out that I left my wallet in rental. When I went back to rental center Alex Fung sounded like and looked like he went out of his way went above and beyond to go to the person who was cleaning the vehicle I rented to see if they found a wallet , which they did and I’m grateful for that person who did. Alex came back to bring back my wallet. Also, before I received my wallet, a lady with curly hair to shoulder with glasses went to find out what vehicle and where it was to retrieve my wallet. I asked if Mustafa could give me a ride to airport again, which he did, and I’m very grateful that he did.

Andrew Hicks: Putting this as three stars because I’m sure this location wasn’t the lone culprit behind my experience, and I have had two very good experiences in the past at this location.I made a reservation on September 1st, 2022 for a Sunday 9 am pick up for today. They were open on sundays at the time from 9 am to 12 pm, so there shouldn’t have been any problems. Then, at some point between then and the day of my reservation, they decided to no longer be open on sundays which negated my reservation.Look, I get it. Sometimes things change with a business and it’s totally fair. But I was never told of this change - no calls, emails, messages through the app, nothing. I showed up on time to pick it up and no one was there. I called enterprise customer service and then was told that the location is no longer open and all they can do is cancel my reservation and not offer a car at another location nearby. Thank god there was a train available at south station that I could take in lieu of this but not being informed of their hours change is completely unacceptable. Imagine if I had a truly urgent reason to need a car. I hope enterprise sees this message and takes into account how irresponsible it is to not inform people of huge changes like this.

Becky Finn: My experience at Boston Logan Airport with Enterprise last week was one of the best I have ever had with any car rental company. Congrats to Enterprise on having friendly and efficient staff for picking up (Joe) and returning (Dean) and a seamless experience on a busy summer Friday afternoon. There was no delay checking in, I had a choice of 2 different types of car, the car itself was great, and the return process was less than 10 minutes. The car rental center at Logan is efficient and easy to access. Highly recommend.

Filled out a lost and found with their customer service and some how the vehicle with the base of a car seat attached to the second row was not found.Update.I have emailed you per your request, and unsurprisingly there has been no response.
Edward Wayland: I always use Enterprise and I find them very helpful and easy to work with. My most recent experience out of Logan Airport was very good. Loved the car that they let me choose on the spot. Had to extend the rental and then bring back early and doing both was seamless and easy. Only complaint is pickup took a lot longer than it should have. Their kiosk could not read my driver's license (or anyone else's it seemed) and they had just one person behind the counter who was oh-so-slowly dealing with one customer at a time. Customers who seemed to have never rented a car before, had no reservations, didn't know what they wanted, and had to call their mom or something for help. That was super irritating. Otherwise loved the whole experience.

Mark Yeo: Prices were reasonable and experience with the counter staff was 'transactional'.The bright blue RAV4 we got was absolutely filthy and had a low level of washer fluid. Good thing the guy at the garage was around to help us top that up.Floor mats of the driver's and front passenger's seat was missing but the guy at the garage said that this was 'normal' for cars that have some mileage on them.Only upon driving out of the dark garage did we realize the true extent of the dirtiness. Spent half an hour outside the hotel cleaning up the interior, seats, panels, and some more to launder our soiled clothes.If you have some extra cash, love yourself, and value your time, head over to Hertz and give them a try instead.
YoDaddy0714: Staff are friendly and helpful. Car is ok. Billing was the issue. I was overcharged $30 for using toll. There’s a fee of $17+ just to use their gadget. Then of course the other hidden fees!

Roshauna McGowan: The ladies at the front desk were incredibly rude! They did not even extend a simple greeting when we came in. After receiving the key for the car, we were told we would have to get the car on our own. No one was there to direct us to the car nor was there someone to explain any features about the car. No one did a walk around or was available for any questions. I had never driven a hybrid car before and I was very confused and uncomfortable trying to determine how to operate the car. I did not appreciate the lack of staff or how unfriendly they were. The process of reserving the car online was more pleasant than dealing with the staff at this location. As someone that is not native to this area, it left a bad taste in my mouth about visiting Boston or renting from this company again.
Alejandro Villanueva: Terrible error in what avía charged me. Now it will take me hours to fix it. Be super careful when you rent with them and check te receipt immediately after returning the car. The process seems to be simple until you are overcharged.
Info PensionPlus: After approving the selection of a new and good quality vehicle online, we were given an old, uncleaned, and scratched rental. When we spoke to the location representatives, they refused to document the majority of the scratches, they informed us that they only have older cars available and furthermore, they do not clean their vehicles in the winter. We do not recommend this location nor Avis customer service to anyone looking for a good-quality rental car.
Jason Pelletier: Great location to save money from renting a car from Logan. Jump on the subway or jump into an Uber for $20 and they both bring you right to their door. We saved close to $50/day. Service was fast and friendly.

Dedham, MA Holiday Inn location had a drunk employee that was so drunk it was coming from her pores and making the office smell like alcohol. Her manager Tom wouldn't even know since he just can talk to the customers on the phone from his office and not in person. Back Bay Clarendon St. location just wants to give the customer the runaround and misinformation so they can get you in and out. They dont listen and get mad due to their mistake of what add-ons I wanted to put on the rental, but the employee put whatever additions she wanted causing me to have to go to the location about 4x along with the Dedham location 1x. Wasted about 4 hours of my time that I'll never get back. May I suggest better customer service training and all employees be able to give the same information to customers. Great job, Avis.

Alex Waite: Where do I begin? Rudest staff possible. Saying you have infant car seats online, allowing me to choose that option, and pay for it. Then when I get there? None. The hell am I supposed to do with my baby?! Plus your staff all but punched me in the face when I asked for help. I used to use Avis/Budget only. I will NEVER use it again. I’ve never been so frustrated in my life. On top of that, the toddler seat I received because, again, no infant seats, did not secure properly. And again, were the staff any help? Quite the opposite actually.

Anonymous Panda: Disappointing experience. I was a regular customer at this location and get an employee discount through my institution. I arrived at 10AM to find a shut door and dimly lit office with a single employee, Olivia, who ignored me for 5-10 minutes before finally getting off her computer and coming over.No discussion of car choices or upgrades. She points me to the car - crammed in the middle of other cars, hands me the keys, and left. I had to carefully maneuver my car out of the space before doing my own walk-around, fuel level check, and other adjustments. It was extremely off-putting.Previous experiences at this location had been very positive... not sure if the pandemic has caused them to be short-staffed. I would recommend those seeking to rent from this Enterprise location to brace for poor/chilly reception until things return to normal.

Tina Coleman: I usually and what I did was extend my rental agreement for a week for 4 weeks. I called every week and they charged my card every week (I have my call logs). And I was charged when I brought my car back on the 4th week (when I brought the car back!) the last day over and 1500 dollars. I returned my car on the 7th of August and they charged my card a few days later.. Double billing me! I'm told it's nothing they can do about this.. My account is negative 1500 and I'm currently working with a lawyer. First Nobody can assist me as they tell me because the manager won't be in until tomorrow or Friday. This is bad service, I never had a problem until now. I been renting for over a year. I have all of my receipts from all 4 weeks again, I rent weekly my call logs shows when I called to extend my rental agreement.

Allen Wagner: This may have been the worst customer service experience I’ve ever had. Went in to rent a car (with appointment) and was told they were out right now and waiting get a supply from the airport. No huge deal, checked in and then went up to walk around the mall as I was told I’d receive a call when the car was there. Waited 30 minutes then went back to see that the store closed. No call, no email, the employees just thought they would leave for the day. Went to another enterprise open later and was told I couldn’t rent from them because I had an open ticket from this store. Had to have my girlfriend rent her car. When I called the store manager (I believe Amethyst) she at first tried to convince me I did something wrong but then took my information and said she’d refund me for the other rental. Never got the check. Disappointing as enterprise is usually great but avoid this place like the plague.

A good experience overall!
