Athens: I was looking for some Venezuelan food, and I've always heard a lot of rave reviews about the arepas at Carolicious. But in general, while the fillings were great, I was a bit disappointed about the arepa itself. The arepas felt too small and felt thin and quite dry on the day I went. It felt dry and cracked on the outside, instead of crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. There was a lot of filling which is nice, but there was not enough arepa to accommodate it. If I come back, I would probably prefer a bowl instead of an arepa.Pabellon (meat, black beans, plantains): classic combination and I always like how the sweetness of the plantains contrast with the richness of the meat and the beans. I tried the pork and the beef version, and while both were nice, I do prefer the beef which was reallly tender and even more flavorful.Reina pepiada (chicken, avocado, mayo): Chicken is nice, but it was quite mayo heavy, and could use more avocado flavor.Tequenos: I asked, but the workers there didn't even know what cheese they used. Dough tasted a bit similar to pillsbury crescent roll dough, so it's a bit sweet and had a bit of that kind of texture. I really liked the basil sauce it came with.
Carlos Hernandez: Great food. Extraordinary service. My wife and I are regulars here almost every Sunday and the staff never fails to make us smile. The arepas are just the perfect size to fill you up and a bowl is great if you’re feeling extra hungry. Every time we go, the staff is cheerful and make us feel great. By now, they know our orders by heart. The food and the staff keeps us coming back on the weekends. Don't get me started on tequenos.Parking: Free parking
Husang Lee: Came here Sunday evening and I have to say I liked the atmosphere and service. The food can use a slight improvement, but pretty good overall. Arepa was a bit small and a little too thin. Tequenos were good, but 9 dollars a bit too small for me. Would come again on a date night as the brewery and live music was nice. Loved the hydration station with sparkling water and flavors.
Haffet Rosales Bailey: Solicitan identification apenas entras al restaurante, aun si no vas a tomar, unicamente a comer, y si no tienes identification te niegan la entrada. En ningun lugar de Boston pasa eso. Pésimo servicio.
Gabriela Avila: It’s great for drunk people food, very greasy and salty, but I had very good Venezuelan food before and this is nothing close to it. The arepa felt too hard if not old. The felling was ok not flavorful just salty. The tequeños tasted fishy almost like old oil was used to make them, same as the basil sauce, just tasted like fishy (like if you fried fish and oil and then used that oil to make the sauce)
Jonathan Patino-Valencia: I love Venezuelan Arepas and they do them right. I took my venezuela friend to get it Venezuelan approved and he did lmao. Friendly staff and delicious FoodRecommended dishes Chicken Arepa, Chicken Pabellon Bowl …More
Candice Sheehan: Food: 5/5More
Alan Varghese: Ridiculously tasty with great flavor and texture combination, between $7-$11 for a decent amount of food ($7 arepa won't fill you up). They have ample indoor and outdoor seating with bars next to it if you want to have a drink with it. Service is also pretty quick.I got the pabellon (national dish of Venezuela) chicken, which was pulled chicken with incredible flavor, black beans and fried plantains, both pairing really well with the chicken. Definitely recommend it strongly.Vegetarian options: A good amount (10 dishes)Parking: Not a lot for cars but some bicycle stands.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes
Andrew Nilson: The location of this place was great. Inside of the bar. It had a wonderful atmosphere to have fun and hang out with friends. The food itself was delicious, but not the best Venezuelan food I've ever had. I have had better arepas. I give 3 stars because 3 is average. Nothing to complain about. Had a good experienceFood: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Will Burnham: Woweee, cheap, delicious, and next to beer.Recommended dishes Pabellon Veggie Arepa, Arepa Beef Pico De Gallo …More

Orinoco: A Latin Kitchen: what do users think?
Jeffrey Liu: I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent take-out order from your Southend Boston location. I have been a loyal customer for some time and have always enjoyed dining in at your establishment. However, my experience with my recent take-out order left a lot to be desired.Specifically, I ordered my favorite dish, the arepas, for take-out, and I was disappointed to find that there was not enough sauce included with my order. When dining in, your restaurant offers unlimited sauce, and I have always appreciated this generous policy. However, when I received my take-out order, I found that the amount of sauce included was not sufficient. As a loyal customer, I was disappointed that the same policy of unlimited sauce was not extended to take-out orders. I understand that take-out orders may have different policies, but I feel that as a customer, I should have been informed of any differences in the sauce policy beforehand.I hope you take my feedback into consideration and address this issue for future take-out orders. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to continuing to dine at your establishment.
Alonso Munera: A hidden Gem! I chose this spot for my first date with my wife and for over 20 years this is still the first spot that comes to mind when dining out. Our 12 and 14 year old girls can't get enough of the Maracuchitos and Datiles wrapped with bacon. Being Latin American, let me tell you, if you're looking to try authentic venezuelan/Latin american food, this is the place. The Pabellón criollo (rice, black beans, pulled beef and plantains) is absolutely delicious; it's the real deal. The empanadas are great, flavorful. The service is arguably better than the food!
Kiara Ortega: Loved this place! Arepas were delicious ! Salad and Tequeños were amazing ! Def recommend the Sangria! Small restaurant but super cute and waiters were super attentive.
Sharon Coleman: I agree with MKay -- although I don't think it was racism but just incompetence. Like his experience, just ordering a bottle of wine was an ordeal- we ordered a bottle of Pinot Noir and the server brought a glass of Chardonnay. We even showed visuals -- the service was inattentive. Seems like Tuesday night is more of a take-out night. If you are going to only do take-out, you should say that you are only open to take-out or hire enough staff that your in house guests don't feel like they are imposing on the staff....
Mary M: Sorry I meant to put five stars
Travis W.: Love the food here! Everything we ordered was delicious. The creamed quinoa was my least favorite of all we ordered, but it was still very good. They only have two deserts on the menu, but they are both excellent. The molten fudge cake is probably the best I've ever had. I highly recommend this place.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
R F: A little hidden gem. I feel guilty even writing this review because I want to keep this place to myself.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
frank gomez: I had the arepas with shredded beef and cheese. I have to said that it was pretty good. Good ambiance as well. I will definitely be back.
Ramon P.: My friend brought me here because he loves the food here. It did not disappoint. The food was really good. We got the churrasco, pollo Verde, empanadas, mini costiquillitas, and margaritas. The staff was friendly and attentive.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Bacon Wrapped Dates, Adobo Smoked Churrasco …More

Sara Van Schaik: Food is always spectacular, especially the empanadas. Beautiful interior and warm atmosphere. Very affordable for excellent food.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Kevin C.: Outstanding service and authentic Latin food. I came here because I was craving Cubano food with my wife and we enjoyed the food and service. They are very polite and communicate very well. The rice beans plantains and the churrasco were extremely mouth watering delicious. And If you end up ordering cheese empanadas, just make sure you can overcome the addiction of the taste.
Jairo Gentil: Ciertamente los nombres incluidos en el menu son venezolanos, pero el sabor no es ni parecido. Si el deseo es comer comida venezolana este no es el sitio mas idoneo para hacerlo.
Lucas Goldman: Amazing food, great variety, very fair price, top notch service, awesome atmosphere. Will be back. Hidden gem
Ramon G: small but really nice food was great service was ok, could use little attention/poor/small drinks occionParking: off street parking
Ramon Guzman (DBostonpa'elmundo): food was great love it defanally going back soon, real small drink choices but great teste of made out for it .Parking: off street parking

Los Chamos Venezuelan Cuisine: what do users think?
Lissette Gotera: Didn’t like the quality of the food, doesn’t taste like our Venezuelan food.I asked for a cheese empanada and the cheese they use is a shredded yellow cheddar cheese, nothing close like the one Venezuelans put in their empanadas. The dough was fried but not well cooked in the inside. On top of that they charge 20% of service fee. The waitress was really nice but the food not at all,

Spencer Taylor: So good and so friendly!
Susie Frasca: Los Chamos is awesome. I had pork chachapas and chicken pabellon on two separate occasions. The food is flavorful and with perfect textures. The garlic cilantro sauce is so good. Next time I will order additional sauce to go. The service was also super fast.Vegetarian options: They have vegan optionsWheelchair accessibility: Wheel chair accessible entrance
cat: Empanadas are pricy for the quality and the size. The girl who works there doesn’t understand English which makes it hard to ask anything.

alejandro osorio: Muy rica la comida, excelente atención. Falta un poco de ventilación en el interior
Christopher Daley: Great empanadas and mini arepas but the patacon was a bit soggy and really heavy on the shredded lettuce. Overall nice meal , friendly staff as well.
Tim Desmond: Great cachapas. It's a bit pricey, a lot of places are these days.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Caroline Mak: So friendly and the chicken cachpas ( the one covered in cheese) was just jaw droppingly good, so nicely grilled and perfect salty sweet mix. Pork arepa was good but not as 🤯
Peter Chang: I went with a Venezuelan person and they told me the food is pretty authentic! The tequeños are the bomb. They use guayanés cheese which is nice. I had the arepas, which I would recommend also.
Jessica Siewrattan: Delicious, mom and pop shop feel. Gluten Free options available.
Esther Tejeda: Ordered 2 chicken arepas with cheese, chicken extra salty and did not offer me any sauce/ second time visiting this place first time love it last night definitely not going back
Sean Young: They include the tip into the price. Over priced but clean

Carolicious Venezuelan Food: what do users think?
Nick Alpine: Highly recommend if you are in the area. Pairs especially well with the on location beer at the Aeronaut Cannery .
La_H 602: Recommended dishes Bowl Pabellon Chicken with Extra Plain ArepaMore
Sophia Grekin: Super good vibes, a little hidden bc it’s in the brewery but just trust the map.Food was really quick and delicious, highly recommend the arepas with the plantains. The meat (both chicken and beef) were well seasoned and the flavors worked so well with each other, I loved green sauce. Great portion, we each ate one arepa and shared the “breadsticks”.
Will W: Second time here and the arepas and bowls are top notch. The real reason to visit the cannery is Carolicious.
Ryan Witthaus: Spectacularly delicious and the absolute best service. We'd happily come just for the arepas and skip the beers, that's how good it is.
Cristin Udall: Amazing food! Takes long to make but the pay off is so great. I got chicken and spicy beef. Both insanely delicious! Quality food and authentic!
Alison Holden: SOOO good! The arepas were amazing and my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Wish you guys were open everyday!
Juan Carlo Ruiz: You and your food are so wonderful! The best combination in Massachusetts, your arepa and craft beer. Also, you are so innovative and lovely.
Luiselenna Soto Paez: Best Venezuelan food in the area. There are not enough stars to rate the “arepas” from the Carolicious!🤩 The food, place, craft beer, friendly service and experience is just perfect to enjoy with friends and family 😍 . Highly recommended!

Ellana's Kitchen & More: what do users think?
L.A Kent: CLOSING PERMANENTLY JUNE 5TH! ONE WEEK LEFT TO ENJOY THIS MASTERPIECE OF AN ESTABLISHMENT
Nemil Perez: First time here, didn't know what to order because it all sounded great, so I ordered the Venezuelan sampler. The 2 meats, chicken and beef I believe, were a tad dry, but flavorful. The green plantain was crisp and delicious, and so were the sweet plantain. Cole slaw was good, not too strong of a flavor. The black beans were great. The fried cheese was excellent, careful when eating, it could explode hot cheese juice on you.My favorite thing on the plate was the corn thing with cheese on it. So delicious. The two sauces I believe were an aioli and a spicy pepper blend. The flan was great, super smooth. Had a slight bitterness to the sauce but it was great overall. Also got a guava juice that was great, not too sweet. I'll have to get a sandwich next time I'm back here.Come check it out, small place. Very friendly staff!
MrVanemane: Excellent service and food!
Arturo Medina: . Excelente la atención, un muy buen lugar para ir a comer la comida es súper rica, y los dueños y todo el personal son personas muy agradables de verdad 100% recomendado en todos los sentidos en trato al cliente y en la comida por supuesto, sin duda alguna la próxima vez que visite Boston voy a ir de nuevo a este lugar saludos al equipo ellana’s ….Excellent attention, a very good place to go eat the food is super rich, and the owners and all the staff are really nice people 100% recommended in every way in customer service and food of course, without a doubt the next time I visit Boston I will go back to this place greetings to the Ellana's team….!
Ryan Clifford: You must come here, the reviews don’t lie
Cisco Zap (Cisco): ¡¡La arepa pabellon que delicia!! Very attentive service very helpful and they have special meals as well. I came in for the arepas and they did not disappoint. They have empanadas as well. A very generous portion of ingredients inside the arepa. It is in a great location with meter parking lot behind the establishment. I cant wait to go back and try the rest of the menu!Features: Encourage customers to wear a mask or highly recommend.
Stephanie Jordan: The Venezuelan Sampler is where it's at! I couldn’t decide on what I wanted so that was perfect. The meat is a little salty but it was actually balanced out nicely by the sweetness of the patacon and cachapa. I also really liked the textures of the empanada and the arepa.
Joan: Since working around Newton for the last 5 years, finding & having a place like Ellanas nearby is like hitting the jackpot. Their food is so fresh and reliably excellent. Even better than that is their staff! These people really treat you like family and are so accommodating and kind. I cannot rave about this place to people enough. Thanks Ellanas for being so awesome!
Amy Vreeland: This Place is great- we loved everything we got.Arepas, falafel, soup - all crazy delicious. Can’t wait to go back. Miguel Was so nice and inviting- sharing recipes and tases of their soup. A hidden gem!
Eileen Sanzonetti: Siempre es agradable ir a Ellana's kitchen
Cheri Wilson: A nice little spot. We stopped for lunch and had arepas and salad.
Alberto Karkour: As a Venezuelan, I can say this is the most authentic Venezuelan food. I come to this place almost every week. The owners are amazing and very friendly people!Personally I always order the Arepa con Queso Guayanes and the Arepa Reina Pepiada. But I have also tried other dishes like the Cachapas, Tequeños, Empanadas and Pabellon. Also, if you like Lebanese Cuisine, there are great and tasty options for you in this restaurantEverything is just perfect and authentic! Super recommended! Xenia Calderon: We had the beef arepa and beef cachapa, both really good, but the beef arepa with plantain in it was the star dish. Tequeños were also really good.
Marianny Guerra: Excelente restaurante, 100% recomendado la comida es deliciosa conserva ese rico sabor venezolano. Los dueños sumamente atentos!! Buen lugar para comer en Boston.
Alexander Stark: Consistently good empanadas and quick for takeout
Hillary: Delicious and Authentic Venezuelan food
Joves Luo: Great food and very good service. We tried a variety of dishes and they were all very good. The restaurant is small so it felt a bit crowded but not too bad. We were able to get a table around lunch time. I liked that the beef empanadas used shredded beef instead of grounded beef. It gave it more flavor and better texture.
Jennifer Luo: The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly.
Alessandra Lea: This place is amazing. My Colombian boyfriend approves. We got some empanadas and arepas and they were absolutely delectable. The tequeños were also delicious. And I’m in love with the mild green sauce– I need to learn how to make it. Service was friendly and very quick. Will absolutely be stopping by again.
Ian Swett: Everything was excellent, looking forward to trying the Empanadas.Update: I've now gone back a few times, and I think their hummus, shawarma and falafel are the best in Newton.
Gene Jankowski: The food here was totally awesome! Everything is made fresh at the restaurant daily, which makes the taste even better. The owners are hands on, and are very courteous and friendly. If you like this kind of food, you can’t go wrong. Enjoy!

Orinoco Brookline Village: what do users think?
Dan M: Came in for dinner a few weeks ago. Food was terrific. I’ve been to the Harvard Sq location in the past and it was also good. The three stars is because service was atrocious. It was maybe 60 mins before they closed but was only half full so not sure why us being sat was an issue. The bartender ended up taking our table and he was pleasant but yeah just ignored for awhile and we were hungry. We will be back but probably closer to opening time.
Heather L: Had a delicious dinner with friends. We tried lots of arepas, every one was better than the last. Empanadas were also terrific. Don't think you can go wrong here. Per Sveen: What a terrific place, we are so glad we found it. The staff is really accommodating and friendly and the ambiance is great. We didn’t have to wait long for our food and it was absolutely scrumptious. I would definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the Brookline area.
J F: Disappointed. Service was awful. The server took so long to acknowledge us we thought we had to order online then the food took forever to come out. We ordered appetizers and didn't get small plates or extra napkins (just the one with the silverware) we were all latinos, we know what a good arepa is and mine was burned and I mean fully black on the bottom side....but even if it wasn't it wasn't a good arepa at all. Don't even get me started about the "tequeños". Generic plates like salmon or ribs seemed ok but you can have that anywhere.Supposedly the sangria was amazing, but it isn't and it's full of cinnamon by the way. Smallest sangria glass I have ever gotten.Nothing we had felt authentic. it could fool white people but wouldn't fool a native. If you want to have authentic Latin food go somewhere else.Won't be back, won't recommend.
