Social Boston Sports: what do users think?
Ruben Medeiros: Games never start on time. Not transparent about team minimums and add free agents onto rosters. Shirt sizes are inconsistent from season to season. Only bright side is their app.
Matt Lucido: Playoff tiebreakers are decided by which team signs up first. With league fees so high and seasons so short, you often are charged upwards of $35 per person PER 40 minute game.Promising organization, but needs some serious change.
Matthew: I just joined a softball league and had an issue with a teammate. The number this company they have on on Google is not a valid number and they social boston have not responded to my emails. It looks like I am down $110 because no one from their support team has responded to me. What a shittty organization and I will not talk about them highly to any of my friends
Corey Riley: Our first two softball games were canceled last minute the night of the game. We will be three weeks into our league and have yet to play at all. Not organized or planned out. As of right now we payed $93 for a tee shirt.Only good news is we are still undefeated.
Casey Gawen: This league has cancelled the first two games of the season in the last second, the night of the game. Although my team is still undefeated, I don’t want to be playing playoff softball in December. The one star is earned by a lack of communication and planning.
Riley Young: Two games two cancellations. League needs to figure out the basics.
Gennady: Company values based solely on making a quick sale and provide no refund or give maximum value. I played on four different leagues, it was always packed with extra people and one time when I asked for a refund due to family situation I had to go through lengthy email exchange with Rich that kept coming up with different and even contradicting excuses why I can not get refunded. This is not a customer oriented business model at all.
Chris Frangolini: Well run leagues that make it easy to meet people and have fun playing sports! 10/10 would recommend the basketball leagues
Ryanne Harms: My company has been involved the last two seasons of kickball leagues with SBS. They have the highest fees out of all the leagues we looked at by far, but that's not even my complaint. They were horrendously managed and haphazardly scheduled all season, and whenever we tried to talk to whoever was supposed to be running things they were the most inefficient, unhelpful employees. Our league supervisor our first season was downright unprofessional and rude, but our second season was so poorly managed we've had to stop playing at this point. If you're looking for a league, choose another one.
Jhon Vallim: Nice place
Todd Nagel: I played Volleyball and Bocce at Carson Beach. Both were great!
Conor Campbell: Social boston sports has been on a rapid decline over the past year. Playing fields have became worse, organization is a mess, and overall quality of the refs/officials has declined. All of this, while league prices have stayed the same. Some specific examples include:* 8v8 sized goals for a 11v11 game, then buying cheaper pop up nets as a replacement.* Training refs during the 3rd game of a season during an actual game and having to explain offsides rules to them at half time.* Giant patches of dirt on the field for a consecutive number of years* Scheduling games on memorial day weekend, then realizing it the week before and having to cancel.
Eric Setzer: As a new resident in Boston, I was looking for a soccer team to play with. I have decided to sign up as a free agent for 11 v 11 coed soccer. Unfortunately, they had to cancel due to the insufficient number of free agents to create a team. I never wanted that. I wanted to join a team that’s who looking for extra sub. Again, I signed up for a second one and they notified me that there weren’t enough teams to make a whole league and they had to cancel. Twice in a row.
Brian Kearney: Coordinated sports for a young professional group and the staff were always very accommodating and helpful with any questions we had. I hope they continue to grow and expand!

Beach House - Boston: what do users think?
Aaron Caine: Great choice for a kids birthday party!
Jinna Frank: Good
Matt O'Donnell: Overall very impressed. Is a great place to play beach volleyball indoors. Was clean and had a spot to hang out in between games. Also a shower to wash the sand off which is a really nice touch.
Owen Stearns: Was there for an 8yo birthday party, and while I wasn't sure exactly what to expect, this might be the perfect location for that kind of event. A very friendly staff person manages the kids through various games in the sand (like an indoor beach party) while the parents can hang out in the balcony above and play ping pong, foosball, watch TV, etc. (while paying loose attention to what's going on down below).I'm sure it's also awesome for, you know, beach volleyball! But I'm glad they allow these kinds of events too. A+
Breno da Mata: State-of-the-art facility for beach sports and best of it's kind in the northeast.
Nazir Faruki: Amazing place. Really enjoyed. The staff were amazing!
Guerman Khotline: Great venue! Everybody was very helpful in setting up the event. Great for Birthdays and just staying active!
Aaron Hirshfield: Fun place, very helpful staff for a party. Tons of private space too!
Dinesh Maria: Been here a few times and the place is amazing and lively, a very good host to take care of all your needs. Loved the overall experience
jamie cannan: Cool place, nice sand, lots of Brazilian tunes!
Mary Dempsey: We love this place! It's a small team with a big dream. They've recently started a partnership with the local myGym, so we take our toddler regularly. It's a wonderful place to hangout indoors with an outdoor feel, and I'm sure it'll be a savior in the winter.
DSH: Awesome place. I wish they were closer to Boston
Trevbon: AYAYAYA GET UP TO THE STANDS AND START CHEERING THIS PLACE IS FRIGGIN SIIIIIIIICK
Cindy Chin: The beach house is the best indoor volleyball facility around 👍🏻
Mary Vasquez: This place is so cool. A beach volleyball court with warmed sand. Great for birthday parties too, for kids or adults.
Adil B: We rented two courts for 6 hours for a tournament. The facility is amazing. Courts were well spaced. Rob was very welcoming and was very responsive from the first call we made to inquire about reserving courts. If you are running a tournament you should strongly consider renting the mezzanine also. We did and it was well worth it. There is a ping pong table and a foosball table in the mezzanine to keep teams that are not playing busy. There is a also a big screen TV to display scores, brackets from your laptop and lots of seats to kick back relax and watch games from down on the courts.
Alexandra L: This fantastic indoor sand beach volleyball venue is unique. I hosted both my kids’ bday parties here. Both the owner & volleyball coach were so hospitable. Very cool place—adults & kids love it. Ted, who coaches & ran various sports games for the parties—is fantastic. Definitely a versatile place; there was a 40th bday party starting when we were leaving & others playing beach volleyball. Not cheap, but worth it & highly recommend!
Brent Barlow Music: Awesome place! Great for anyone who is a beach volleyball enthusiastic. Even if you're not, a great place to learn and have fun,. Private parties too! Staff is extremely friendly.
Scott Larson: Such a cool place. It felt amazing to go barefoot in the sand while there was snow on the ground outside.
Anatoly Kurganov: Nice place to play volleyball on the sand. And really friendly personal.
Wendy Tan: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality

Boston Ski & Sports Club: what do users think?
Paul Kim: Good sports organizer, did not have a problem during two seasons with them
Christopher Frano: I think they're pretty well organized compared to some other recreational sports groups I've tried. My biggest complaint would be how long it takes them to publish your team schedule. They also occasionally will publish an incorrect schedule and have to correct it, but it's rare.
S M: Mainly I will utilize the groups ski trips up north which are an amazing deal. As long as you have proof of vaccine or neg test you can take the bus with the group. Meet for lunch, hit the slopes with new friends. Whole process was simple and why I come back. Glad these trips just came back!
Denis Dubé: I've had great experiences playing pickup, league, and volleyball clinics since 2020 with BSSC.
Yi Ke: Bad arrangement. I drove 50 mins to join their clinic and none notified me that the clinic was cancelled. Waste of time and I found a new place.
Kristy Thibodeau: I'm a big fan of the BSSC. They offer plenty to do for the amateur, active individual in Boston and surrounding areas. I have done several seasons of multiple sports of varying levels including co-ed softball, kickball, field hockey, golf and have done several ski day and weekend trips. The bus plus lift ticket price cannot be beat. They also offer organized week long trips around the world along with night out get togethers and parties, usually at a fun bar or pubcrawl. Their annual memberships allows discounts for sports and trips and at local shops around town.
Michael K: BSSC runs some great ski trips. I made it 4 stars because they are the only bus service that has all pickup spots at parking lots you have to pay for as their only other competitor that used to stop at the Woburn Transit Center moved their stop around the corner, which often makes them the most expensive choice in terms of day ski trips on weekends (these days they charge $14/$15 more most often although I've seen the difference anywhere from $3 to $20 and sometimes the competition is running buses to the same resort on the same day). I'll fairly put that the $59 Wednesday trips to Mount Snow are $3/$4 under their variably priced competitor.I like the touch that they try to pair up people who are skiing alone to make the trip more social though and they invite everyone to have lunch in the middle of the day, although the latter doesn't apply to me much as I like to bring my own to keep skiing. But everything else aside, they're a good choice as I think every ski bus trip group has their own good things. I like how they have parties around Boston to create a social scene.
