She didn't explain properly how my medication could be cancelled, talked down to me, and wanted me off the phone/out of the store as soon as possible.Other in-store staff were also quite rude. The cashiers are nice, though.
Sarah Melanson: I normally do not like to give below 4 stars to anywhere I go. The entire time I was in the store I was hearing both employees upfront laughing and listening/watching videos on their phones loud enough that I could hear it at the back of the store. When I was being rung out the employees where still speaking to eachother instead of engaging with me other than to say "Hi, want a bag?" I have worked retail before and understand when it is very slow at night it is hard to amuse yourself. Just make sure that the customer in front of your face and in your store is more important than the video on your phone.

arthur banks: My Wife and I have lived in this neighborhood for 23 years. We have always used this Walgreens because this store has the best Pharmacy Manager in Mouay. She has been there for 17 years and don't lose her !!! She is the Best. Not just at filling prescription, but explaining everything and making you feel that you have a partner in your care. Also she can give you a painless flu shot --no small thing to someone who hates needles. Her level of service raises the overall experience at the store to an Outstanding level.

mal3ek: Someone please explain why I am experiencing the same issues as the previous most recent review. My boyfriend tried to pick up all my prescriptions, but was only given one due to “insurance issues.” I called my insurance and have no issues with this medication. I have been calling for over a WEEK. Every time, no one picks up. I am on hold for 30+ min until I give up. Currently on the phone now, and I’m entirely under the impression they do not have a phone or the number listed is out of commission. I don’t have the time to have this conversation in person to only wait in an egregious line and be told the same information- that they don’t have my prescription. I work full time and actually practice customer service. I am transferring my prescription elsewhere. @ Walgreens corporate - this is a disgrace and there should be a management turnover ASAP as like the previous reviewer said, this is a SAFETY issue. Or close and re-locate with pharmacy staff better equipped to administer patient care and attend to the health and well-being of your customers.
Patrick Gooley: 11/1/22 Called ahead for prescription about an hour before my lunch break to make sure it was ready. After being on hold for 55 minutes I walk over and join the line of roughly 8 people in the store. At about 65 minutes of holding an actual human picks up and asks me to hold. This happens a second time, then the line is dropped. 70 minutes total waiting time and then hung up on. Of the two prescriptions I was picking up, the one I needed that day was not ready, something that would have been fixed if I had been able to speak for 2 minutes with any human over the phone. At the front of the line, the individual helping takes my ID behind the desk, then proceeds to go to fill my other prescription. At 30 minutes past entering the store, I am running out of time for my lunch break, and have to leave. I have to yell over at other workers behind the desk to retrieve my ID, because the individual helping me is no where to be seen. Will be taking my service elsewhere in the future.
Grace Kepler: Most convenient pharmacy for me, but I had to move our prescriptions to CVS. The pharmacy hours have become very unreliable. Some days the pharmacy isn't open at all, but they don't turn off the phone and fax so customers wait forever on calls and prescriptions end up in limbo. My husband got out of the hospital late afternoon on a Friday, and I couldn't get his prescriptions. The doctor had called them into the pharmacy, but since it was unexpectedly closed, they weren't logged in the system and weren't accessible from other Walgreen's pharmacies. Gone to CVS and not coming back to Walgreens.

Hannah Josephson: I truly understand that like most of healthcare these days, pharmacies are also struggling with staffing issues and volume, so I have been trying to be understanding of this however it has been an absolute nightmare trying to pick up a prescription from this pharmacy lately. I had 2 prescriptions sent in last week and received a notification that there was an "insurance issue" with these. These are not new medications and my insurance has not changed so I am unsure what the issue is but anytime I try to contact the pharmacy by phone about this, nobody answers. On this occasion, I have been on hold currently as I write this for 50minutes without a single human picking up even asking to hold. Earlier today I was on hold for 35 minutes before I gave up. I tried to go by in person this weekend but the pharmacy was closed on Saturday and Sunday completely-- which was not correctly reflected on the automated phone calls or on the website. Meanwhile my prescriptions have not been filled, and I have been unable to get in touch with anyone about what the problem is and how to fill them. I don't understand how any patient is supposed to have all the time to be on hold for hours or show up during regular workday/weekday hours to actually get in touch with someone at this pharmacy. It is really frustrating and I worry how this is affecting patients who rely on this pharmacy for my time sensitive and life saving pharmacies. Walgreens is a huge corporation, so they need to figure out a way to meet the needs of their customers because this is a huge safety issue. Unfortunately this pharmacy is conveniently located to me, but I will be looking to transfer my prescriptions elsewhere because this is unacceptable.
O H: One of the worst Walgreens I’ve been to. The pharmacy never answers the phone and they refuse to submit transcript requests from other pharmacies. It is impossible to pick up a prescription here.

KIROLLOS BISHEET: Worst Walgreens ever, lazy rude employees.They totally ignore online photo printing orders for more than 7 hours after the estimate pick up time and when you go there and ask about it, they don’t even listen and start asking for confirmation and make fun of it without even apologizing. That’s why CVS will always win.
daniel sugarman: This pharmacy is completely filthy and run down, I was shocked by the amount of dirt and debris behind the pharmacy counter, does not look sanitary. The lines are horrific and staff seem completely overwhelmed and disorganized, the freezer cases are all empty and very very dirty, pieces of the pharmacy counter are falling apart, people in this neighborhood depend on this store and it’s disgraceful that the walgreen corporation allows it to operate in this condition in a city like boston.

Char D: Walked to this walgreens after noticing its one of the few stores that stayed opened to midnight and needing some last minute important items. Arrived at this location around 1125PM and noticed the doors were locked and there wasn't a employee in sight. The sign on the door says midnight on a Friday night and even calling the store says midnight. HIGHLY disappointed. In about 5 minutes of standing outside and trying to look and see if someone was walking around inside there were about 10 other people trying to get inside to purchase items. Very disappointed

After informing the associates that the online price of an item on their own website was significantly cheaper, they were unwilling to price match until I showed them the Walgreens policy on price matching. Even then the manager was still dismissive. I won’t be going back to this location.
Berlis Cuevas: I walked into this location to utilize the FedEx drop off service. I was struggling to find a location. When I walked in I was greeted by Dean, the store manager. Dean went above and beyond to help me, including allowing me to use their printing machine for a label, which I failed to provide. Dean’s customer service was exceptional. I acknowledge there are many times it’s hard to maintain a positive attitude in low paying jobs, but Dean went above and beyond and deserves to be recognized.
Theodor Langenbruch: Today on a Monday the phone service was unsatisfactory. The system seemed to be overworked and after holding for more than 30 min the only notification was that there were more than three people in front of me in the waiting line. When I tried to bring this situation to the attention of the store manager, I was again put on hold with only the repeating message that all our staff are helping other customers. Someone will be with you soon.” Twice, when I finally spoke to someone to ask them to contact my prescription provider to have my prescription transferred to this store, they never did. Tomorrow I am going to another pharmacy.
A Michel: This place has a consistent reputation for consistently lacking in professionalism. At least four times, I arrived and the store was closed early, without explanation. The latest time, staff and security were inside and refused to open the door! This is despite the fact that this branch has returned to normal hours and is supposed to close at 11pm. Tonight, I had an emergency and needed health supplies, and arrived at 10:38pm and the store was locked up. That would have been considered an isolated incident except a few weeks ago I came around 8:30pm and it was closed! It's bad enough that items are frequently under-stocked, boxes are left in the aisles, the management is rarely available, and the security guards are often slouching around. Why do we have to get this kind of service, just because it's considered "the hood?" This is what systemic racism and classism looks like, playing out in practice on a regular basis. This neighborhood deserves better.

I just tried calling to see if it was finally in and was on hold for, no exaggeration, 60 minutes as I drove from out of state before I finally hung up. When I got there, the phone was ringing for 15 minutes and none of the 3 people there answered it.This store is also frequently out of a ton of items. My last visit, I got only got 1 of the 4 things I came for and had to go to a different store.

Gabriel Romero: When I first came here to get a COVID booster, the person behind the counter shouted back to her coworkers, "can you ****ing believe it, we've got another one"! I asked if it's a problem that I was there, and was told yes because people wanting boosters are coming in too often. The level of rudeness was shocking, even for Boston. I unfortunately had to come back and get my vaccine card filled out because I had previously forgot it, and the same person was behind the counter, and she told me that they accidentally gave me a flu shot last time I was in. I was shocked, and appalled. Then after having another employee confirm, it turns out that they did give me the booster. But did they? I have zero trust in this pharmacy. Avoid at all costs.

I couldn’t even take the test and was turned away for not having a car, even though a “bike” would work. I TRIED calling ahead to make sure it was okay (like their email says), but the automated caller makes it IMPOSSIBLE to find out anything. Nobody else was even there and I even tried walking through the drive thru UGH. Such a waste of 3 hours of my Saturday.

ES: Never experienced a worse Walgreens Pharmacy. It's been exactly 43 minutes since I've been put on hold. They just pick up and without saying a word keep putting you on hold, over and over. Now finally 5 more minutes later (so 48 minutes total to finally speak to someone during a non-peak time and a time when they are not on break)... the woman who answered can't find my child's medication that her doctor called in, yet the Walgreens in Malden had no issues finding it an hour earlier, they just ran out and said this one in EB had it in stock. She couldn't even do her job and contact the Malden location to speak to them directly. She sounded so annoyed and bored and I had to repeat my child's info 6 times for her to understand. This place was always bad but now it's even worse. Do not use this Walgreens pharmacy unless you want a major headache.*Update: got prescription info from Malden Walgreens and when I called EB back a man answered this time. He was so friendly and very helpful. He answered almost immediately and double checked the medication was not only in stock but they had the exact amount needed. He made me feel very confident my medication would be ready on time. He deserves a raise and Walgreens EB needs more pharmacists like him

OH- and to make it better they told me they would return my prescription to my file so I could find it at another store but instead they DELETED it. Due to my age the page said I needed to make a walk-in appointment instead of booking it prior to attending. I went there and the lady said she had no covid appointments that day so she couldn’t open ‘a line’ for me to get vaccined, so ‘sorry for me’. Then what is the point? Emmett Haberman: I absolutely hate going to this Walgreens. For starters, the store is incredibly dirty. I have heard the manager even brag about the fact that he doesnt make anyone sweep. The next point of contention is the fact that the store is never stocked. If I could I would attach a photo of what I witnessed. At least three of the freezers had no items inside. This has become such a common occurrence that I've avoided even going to the store altogether because I know that there wont be anything there. Finally, if I even find what I'm looking for, the cashier staff are far from friendly. But, honestly I can't blame them. If I had to work for those store managers I'd be just as miserable too

Melissa Jaruse: This review is based on an experience I had with an employee working in the pharmacy, Susan Peterson. I came here to pick up a prescription and there were two pick up spots. One that said “pass only” meaning I needed the prescription number. I did not have this so I went in the regular pickup window. I waited about 10 min and Susan came over and asked if I was all set. When I said I was not, she replied “there is literally one line” and pointed for me to go to the pass only line. I explained that I didn’t have a pass and she just repeated “there is LITERALLY one line” and nothing else in a very short and rude way. I went to the other line and reiterated the reason why I was in the other line because I was confused with her attitude and she replied “you can take that up with a manager” but I didn’t want to speak with a manager… I was just explaining that I was following the signs. I gave my name and she said they have no prescription in there for me. I said there should be because I got a notification. I asked if she could look it up another way and she rolled her eyes. Found it by my birthdate so she must have spelt my name wrong. I said “oh ok so it is in there” and then she told me to stop or she wouldn’t assist me. Confused I said ok? You’re not going to assist me? And then she told me to step to the side. I didn’t get my prescription.I’m appalled with the attitude I got just for following the directions of their signs in the store and simply asking for her to look up my prescription under my birth date because I knew it was in there. Customers should not be met with this type of service just trying to pick up medication. Susan provided such a horrible experience that I switched my prescription to a CVS that is further away from me. Aside from my prescription, I also shop here at least twice a week for normal things I need to pick up. I won’t be shopping at this Walgreens any longer.Not surprisingly, I told my fiancé about this when I got home because he picks up his prescription at the same location and he said there is always a very rude lady there. I described Susan and he was positive it was the same person. He switched his prescription as well. Poor customer service from Susan= loss of business for Walgreens.

I was an active addict and homeless in this area for a few years and when going to a 0pharmacy to get syringes, youre always looked at and judged. I've been told they don't have them for months at a time from every other pharmacy. The staff here is so kind. They greet you without any type of judgement whatsoever. They're always super professional and one of the pharmacists used to always ask me if I needed other stuff like alcohol wipes just to be kind. Anyways, this pharmacy is exactly that, a pharmacy.
