Arthur Deych: A horrible experience! We were assigned Michael and he was not helpful, he did not listen to our needs and we felt he did not take us seriously at all! It took over 2 weeks to get a quote from Michael after a bunch of phone calls and texts. I understand it was during a holiday break but over 2 weeks waiting for 5 closets for a big company like this; should not be so difficult. After a week of waiting; Michael called me and said I just did the master bedroom and its this price and if that's too much let me know; so I don't waste anymore of my time. I had to keep telling Michael that we were serious. During our meeting the whole design was done by my wife; all Michael had to do is transfer it over to his software and get a quote for us. Instead after waiting 2 weeks we got an amateurish proposal with totally different layout than what we wanted with Michael's response being " why wouldn't you put the 40 years experience of the owner to use". Clearly this company doesn't have 40 years of proper customer service experience. This was a horrible experience with a non friendly, non listening and non understanding company that have the "just do what we say" attitude. Very disappointed in the experience with Michael and Boston Closet Co. I will never recommend them to anyone!

Have to say, we are very particular about things, the final design took more than 30 rounds of changes until we finally like it. Two years ago, we bought some furniture for our new home and were helped in making the right choices by a very young Interior Designer: with great clarity and without ever being pushy, she drew a project and dedicated a lot of time, just to make sure we were happy with it. Also my wife was really impressed because we never happened to come across someone so highly skilled, extremely calm, polite and patient, in other furniture shops. Time went by and we then returned there for buying some accessories. Just few days ago, I was again in the shop, because we're now looking to buy a reclining chair for the living room and they do have some nice ones. Again, the experience was good, and I found a nice leather recliner. We never had problems with the home deliveries and also Customer Service reflected the high standard. For this reason, I just want to take this opportunity to thank, also on behalf of my wife, the IL DECOR staff for all what they did for us. It's been a pretty unique experience and we won't forget them. Also, we don't plan on going anywhere else to buy Italian furniture!

justin hamel: After about a month and a half of browsing contemporary furniture to fill my living room, IL Décor a store in downtown Boston finally met my needs. I decided on a Calligaris Tower table and some leather Etoile chairs or however you pronounce them. The ordering process was rather quick. Honestly I was expecting 2 months but it ended up being 3 weeks which was surprising. The delivery guys came today around 11 this morning, I live in Back Bay so it was a nightmare for them. They ended up getting a parking ticket while they unloaded and set up my furniture. For contemporary furniture, it was evenly priced. The delivery was cheaper than I expected. I'm glad I waited a few months for the order, this setup looks awesome.

Frank Poltack: I was out shopping for bartsools this past Saturday and happened to stop into IL DECOR after a couple of other stores and found it quite a surprise. They cary Calligaris which I assume is thier main brand and a few other Italian brands. I was greeted nicely by Fa salesperson, who pointed me in the direction of a couple barstools--and after listening to what I wanted--he pulled up the exact stool out of a catalog. One benifit is that they were quick ship--and arrive in 2-3 weeks instead of the usual four months! Iwas sold! Bought four on the spot. My search was finally over-and I am now axiously awaiting his call to come and get them!The showroom is nicely filled with Italian furniture, not alll of which is quick ship--but from the looks of everything, is worth the wait!The service I recieved here was friendly, helpful the prices they offer are not what you expect for imported European furniture After my experience in a higher priced store (basically ignored), I was glad to have happened upon IL DECOR. We didn’t consider that the dimensions changed when we replaced the existing washer/ dryer with stackables.When Nick, their carpenter, arrived to begin the installation he realized that the space didn’t meet the plans. He offered to have Wendy redesign the laundry and return to do the work.He also said he could go ahead and make adjustments which he thoroughly explained. We trusted him to do a good job . Michael Prakken: The Closet Factory just finished the touch up on our new designer garage and we are thrilled at the professional look. Rebecca C was our designer and she came with both great ideas and a willingness to listen to our ideas and needs. After measuring and taking a few pics, we had our 3D layout a few days later. With a few minor tweaks, we had a finished design. Presto!We opted for an epoxy finish on the garage floor and what a great choice that was.
