Boston Winery: what do users think?
Tessa Vinny: 10/10 service. Came by on a Friday Afternoon to have a glass of wine under the pergola. We were greeted by Angela who suggested a Montepulciano- one of the best I have ever had. The owner Vito came over to us as soon as he got here and suggested a few other wines after asking what we like. Every recommendation was quickly and happily consumed. Cannot recommend Boston Winery enough!!
kareen casey: The best experience ever! If you want to learn more about wine and how to pair it with your meals this is the place. Ralph and Vito makes the experience unforgettable. Highly recommend.
Howie B: Awesome venue! Very nice decor in an old building on the waterfront. Staff is excellent and the food, from Venezia is incredible.
Brian Guess: quaint, ambient, and enjoyable wine-tasting family-owned locale. Ralph is the moment ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Colleen Ryan: My husband and I absolutely loved having our wedding at Boston Winery. It was a great location for us and our families, the perfect size for a small-to-medium event (we had ~90 people), and the venue is just so pretty. We loved dancing under the string lights, having our ceremony surrounded by wine barrels, eating at long tables with our friends and family (also made it more flexible to do the seating chart than mostly rounds!), drinking their amazing selection of wine, and enjoying the beautiful ivy-lined patio with the breeze of the habor on our backs. Our guests just loved this “hidden gem” in the city and we were so happy to introduce it to them. We didn’t need to do much to make the space beautiful. They were also very acommodating for the many gluten allergies we had (myself included). It can be tough to eat at weddings with an allergy, but no one left hungry. Michelle and her team made sure out guests had a great time, and were very easy to work with.
James Toms: What a gem!!! Tucked away just off I-93 you might as well be going to Tuscany or Abruzzi. The family brings personal attention and knowledge to each barrel and bottle of their fine wines. Vito represents the family extremely well and demonstrates the passion required to make fine wine.I suggest a trip to their winery on a quiet weekday if you want to learn to appreciate the skill required to make remarkable wine!
John Powers: Went for the first time last night. Great experience! Ralph and Vito were extremely friendly and they taught us a bit about each pairing and how they went about building out the pairings. We will be going back soon, and left with 2 bottles to take home
ruth fast: The venue was very nice for a weddimg. Great wine but the food was mediocore.
Ed Smith: No tastings during the week. Still, we bought the Barbera and Chardonnay.Lots of weddings here.
Tim Bond: Went there for a private function, they were wonderful. Love the petit shiraz.
Daniel Cronin: My wife and I had our wedding there and we could not have been more satisfied with the end result. We got everything we wanted and Michelle, the Venue Manager was excellent. She helped us from beginning to end and made the day of very easy for us. Would highly recommend this venue.
brittany lewis: I had my wedding at the Boston winery and it was beyond perfect. Michelle is hands down the best person to work with to make sure all your needs are met come the day of your wedding. The food was exceptional, all of my guests got in touch with me after the wedding to note how awesome the food was and how gorgeous the venue was, with the Boston skyline hovering in the background. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to party after I got married.
Sara M: Went for the Wednesday night wine tasting. For the price, it was a great deal. Very nice pairings and the wines were all good. I wish the tasting was a tad more informative with maybe a presentation or written descriptions/ history of the operation, but still for the price it was very very good.
Denisse Padilla: Honestly recommend. Place is nice and cozy. Staff is great! Wine is tasteful. Overall a great experience. Check them out. Ask for "Vito". He was great!
G Jean: Took my girlfriend here to celebrate her birthday and we fell in love. The atmosphere is serene, elegant and absolutely perfect. The wine was delicious! Everyone there was so kind, funny and made you feel like you were amongst dear friends. I cannot wait to come back. Thank you for making one of my best friends birthdays an wonderful delight
Susan MacIsaac: Can't say enough about this gem of a place, hidden in our own back yard. I've attended functions and served amazing wine and food. My daughter and I were given an impromptu private tour by the owner himself. The wine selection and prices are amazing and now the only place I want to give my business. If you love family run, quality wine, professional and friendly service you must come here and support the locals.
K. Moore: Great service and great atmosphere!
Laurie Crawford: I brought my husband here as part of our day planned to celebrate his 50th. He was a little skeptical when he saw that they pick the wines for you for the tasting. We usually only like a select few types of wines but we were both blown away that we liked all 5 of the wines that were chosen for us! We never would have tried half of the wines we tasted if it were our choice. We liked the wine so much we bought 6 bottles. Safety protocols were followed and the staff was welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back to try more wines. They change the tasting menu each week.
Hannah O Toole: Came here for my friends Bachelorette party. There was 12 of us 6 on each table. The ambience and decor setting is very nice. Ralph served us and we had fun chatting with him. He was super friendly and very attentive with topping up the wine. Would recommend coming here.
Shelby Slater: The Brachetto is perfect. Great staff! Ralphie was super helpful and made the experience more enjoyable!
George Konstas: Awesome place. A must visit!Super friendly and knowledgeable!

City Winery: what do users think?
don kennel: Great Venue ... staff, sound, location! With so many venues for tunes in Boston, City Winery really does it top notch. The space is fun and open; we had dinner before our show and the service and food were well worth it. Personal attention from the staff from 1st arrival through after the show. A solid Sound system, and the artists are really able to interact with us all. Very cool. AND then, a total unexpected bonus :: post show meet and great with the Artists! This is definitely on our fav list.
Tim Pullo: Have been to this venue multiple times, nice spot with welcoming employees and easy location access.
Eitan Paul: I've been to 2 shows here. Very nice, intimate-feeling venue with very attentive audiences. Great sound/acoustics. At the first show I went to in August 2022, service was very slow but staff were friendly. Second show I went to in May 2023 had much better service. Tickets for some shows are a little pricey but overall, a very cool venue.
Kathleen Sullivan: Disappointed in the Graham Parker show. He did not play many of his hits which is what audience wanted to hear. No encore. Venue was great!
Steven Blais: A wonderful venue to see a performance. Great food, wonderful wine and ambiance, and a great night out.
microkombi: We've been attending shows at City Winery since they opened. It's a great concert venue with good food and drink. The menu is a bit limited and overpriced, but that's the tradeoff for seeing some of our favorite artists up close and personal.
Glenna Stolzberg: Seeing the Stephen Page trio at City Winery was such a great experience! I look forward to seeing many shows there in the future. They did everything right! From the validated parking to the excellent seats and show views- to the delicious dinner. The staff were superior and so accommodating too.
John McLaughlin: Saw The Steven Page Trio last night - great experience in a really good intimate venue. We did not eat (next time - promise), but the server kept us lubricated and all in all it was a really good event.
Joan Quinn Eastman: Just discovered City Winery and their marvelous Main Stage performance space where the wine flowed, and the food was sumptuous! Saw Simrit live. It was a wonderful experience. Will be back soon! 🙏🏼
John Welsh: A Great experience. A GREAT venue
Melissa King: Great place to see live music, but the food was not good and the wait staff was absent the whole night. I arrived at 6:00pm so I could have dinner before seeing Fatoumata Diawara and it took until the show was about to start (8pm) for my food to arrive. My friend had to walk around the entire venue trying to find someone to take their drink order.
Michael Miller: We saw Simrit 4/30. She was awesome. Her band and the cellist that opened solo and joined the band were awesome. The service was terrible. Our server took our drink order shortly before the music started. The opening act did her set and 4-5 songs into Simrit he was still MIA. At least 40-45 minutes. We were vibing out to the music and slightly annoyed but were fine. We went to the bar, told the bartender what happened and asked can we just order drinks with you. Instead of sorry about that here’s some drinks he said he’d find the MIA server and asked us to just wait at the table. We went to the bar in the restaurant side to get our drinks. We saw our server on the way and he asked us then, 45 minutes later and only because we happened to bump into him, did we need anything. We said we were good just going to the bar and he was annoyed and rude about it. He could’ve just said sorry about that let me get you some drinks right away and we would’ve been fine. The whole show went by and the server didn’t come back to check on us once. He came by at the end to check us out and said he couldn’t find us. We were dancing directly next to our table and impossible to miss. He found us easily enough to check us out 😉We did see a few servers hustling and it was busy. We’re very understanding and not tough customers at all. But this was terrible. Would definitely not see a show there again. I’ve never written a review of a restaurant or music venue before. This was extra bad though and the fact that nobody cared or tried to make it right and the server being annoyed and rude prompted this review. Had anyone along the way just said “our bad here’s a drink” we would’ve been fine.I hope Simrit’s people see this. Hope she plays some place else when she comes back to Boston. We’ll be there as long as it’s not at the City Winery.
Bob Harder: Great place for enjoying simrit who is simply fabulous
Diandra: Enjoyed the show & food very impressed with the service. A great night!
Kimberly Perry: Great evening ... good drinks , food and laughs!
carl packard: Simrit Kaur 1st time here and seeing her. Imo on front of the stage should be allowed for dancers at dancing shows. Way too packed with tables and chairs like it was for a bucha old people
Eric Harrison: Well run- great sound
Aaron Marx: Great venue, nice and intimate, great service! Carsie Blanton and Mike Viola were amazing to see that close and performance and sound far exceeded my expectations. Restaurant side was gorgeous and great wine selection. Wine a little on the pricey side but overall had a great time, will be coming back!
Jill Tully: Great night out! Fun to try new wines, had some yummy bites, and the comedian was hilarious! Really enjoy this venue!
william brown: It was a wonderful time.
Ms. Hope: Great venue, very kind staff.Just disability awareness tip; the website should list the street location of your accessible entrance and there should be more clear signage as the front has a lift that isn’t working .But my friend and I got great help from the front like lady who was a sweetheart and walked with me to help open the back entrance and get my friend in. Thanks so much. And Berklee, you guys put on an amazing show!!!

He truly turned our experience around and quickly. he explained the how the store was set up and even educated us on a lot of wines. he also recommended a lot of wines (I purchased one) He even got me signed up to receive weekly newsletters from the store. I also spoke with Emily and she informed me about the special Tuesdays, let’s just say I can not wait to come back. Big bonus: you can order online and they deliver on the Boston area! Can’t miss here, and can’t wait to go back again.
Doug Jacobs: Great wine centered store with employees who really know their wine. In addition, they have a good but small selection of beer and liquor. As an added plus, the wine is arranged bottom to top by price, so you won't be surprised!
ka yi: Great staff, great selection. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
Justin Shaw: This is a fabulous, magical place. Extremely helpful staff. Walls and walls of wine. What's not to like?
Russell Payne: Interesting and unique layout for a wine store.
David Cooke: Esoteric selection at reasonable prices with staff that loves questions and conversation. We've been going to Urban Grape for over a decade for wine, whiskey, spirits, tastings, advice, and more. A wonderful place to gain an education and share your experiences.
Juan Carlos P: Best place to get wine, beer and other amazing spirits. The service here is like an amazing hotel, always amazing and they know what to recommend to you instead of selling. I heard wine tasting might be coming back and that's always good. Thank you for such a cool concept and I will keep visiting for the years to come.

This was our third tasting and they continue to impress us. We also love to shop after the tasting, grabbing a few of the wines we just tasted along with a selection of new wines based on staff recommendation.

Looking forward to going again!

You don’t need to be a wine expert to shop here! Everyone is ready to help you find that perfect bottle (or case).I highly recommend the tastings and supper clubs. The proprietor hosts exclusive local chefs for supper club: a unique opportunity to meet personally chefs on their way to becoming the next big thing on the gastronomic horizon. These creative young minds have trained in the best culinary institutes in the country and the quality of the menus and preparations is a tribute to the health and vigour of American cuisine. Sarah's masterful yet personable wine pairings transform this symposium into an Elysian banquet. Remember to pick up your keys at St Peter's (reservations via the wine shop or Instagram) on your way to Lynn because it would be a shame to miss out on the Kingdom of Heaven so close at hand. *****
CC McGinn: Amazing selection and customer service! I always come here when I want a delicious gruner.

Lauren Bateman: Lucille's did such a wonderful job for our private event. My wife had recently left full-time nursing to pursue other avenues in life and we wanted to have a small celebration. We had been to a few wine tastings at Lucille's and thought it would be the perfect space for a small and intimate private gathering of friends. I am so glad that we chose to have the event at Lucille's. Sarah was so accommodating, and her communication was spot on. She wanted to make sure she got everything right from the wine selection to the music playlist. All of our guests had a blast and raved about the space. Lucille's really made this a memorable night for my wife. Thank you!
Catherine Liska: The wine tasting I attended was such a wonderful experience! Clara, who led the tasting, was incredibly informative and enjoyable to learn from. We tried four fantastic Rieslings, and feasted on fabulous cheeses and other snacks. Afterwards, we browsed the shop, and were given great recommendations. The selection is comprehensive and ecelctic. We will be back! (And be sure to peek in the powder room...the "wallpaper" is delightful).
Patricia Price: Very informative and hosts were very helpful.
Leigh Denny: Vito was the best. He shared so much of his enthusiasm for the wines and knowledge of their history: I will come back anytime Vito is there.

She was personable and gave us helpful tips for how to select wines and how to pick out the different flavors that you taste. Overall, I highly recommend City Wine Tours for a fun afternoon with your significant other or friends!
Stephen Tannen: John was an informative and lively host. Sadly, the 2 hours are an overpriced rip-off.Ideas: raise the caliber of wines from $15 bottle to $50 bottles. Increase the pour sizes and appetizers or lower the $75 price

The Wine Bottega: what do users think?
Sebastian Hoy West: Servicio rápido, muy amable, eso sí poco paciencia para explicar los platos! Pero bien vale la pena, todo magníficamente rico!
Gabriel Graetz: Incredible, knowledgeable, friendly staff and a great array of wines, especially natural wines!
Koby Mcknight: It's a wine shop with a lot of bottles, but Michael is the focal point of the establishment. He is a lovely, easygoing, and respectful individual who, through poetry and philosophy, provides you with many wines to sample. Also, if you stop by, Michael will take you around. He's a very inventive person. I'll come here again!
Rachael Wyant: Amazing selection, very helpful and responsive, will definitely return.
Tom McManus: The knowledge of the people that work here could fill volumes of text books. The selection is incredible. It's the only place to go for natural wine.
Nick K: I've learned more about wine from The Wine Bottega's Friday tastings than anywhere else. One of the best and definitely the most interesting wine selection in the city. If you're looking for a great bottle for any occasion, this is the place.
Abi Orz: Have shopped here periodically over the last seven years, and am finally getting around to a review because of the excellent purchasing experience I had during these Covid times. The shop is petite, but has always had a broad selection of niche to classic wines. I've always received great recommendations from the staff, and the selection I received this time around, with the brief and precise instructions I provided on the pickup form, is excellent. Thank you!
Allison Robertshaw: They've been amazingly helpful matching some very obscure wines that we've been drinking in Europe with the closest thing on the American market. Always super helpful and with a great selection of interesting wines. Cannot thank them enough.
andyofyork: Their Friday wine tastings are awesome. Love coming here
Annie Crotone: Kim is amazing. This store is a gem. Must stop in!
Jordan Choo: Amazing natural wine shop! They were extremely helpful and gave me an insightful introduction to natural wine. Their deep knowledge of natural wine is only trumped by their love of Beyonce
Simon Tacvorian: Awesome natural wine store. Something is available for all prices ranges, and the employees are very knowledgeable about every thing they sell and are willing to help you pick something out.
Sarah Tregellas: We had a wonderful experience and yummy wine here. It's amazing this Bottega stocks only NATURAL wine. No dyes, no animal products, no sugar, no all the other really weird things they put in mass marketed wine to make batch after batch, year after year taste the same. (I learned about this after having a baby with a dairy allergy and found out I needed VEGAN wine. That shouldn't be a thing y'all!) That's not how wine is supposed to be! If you want the good, soooo good, old fashioned wine the way it's supposed to be made, hit up Kimberly at the Bottega!
Rachel Moliere: Lovely hosts and wine
Jonathan Hodgman: Fantastic. The staff was knowledgeable and guided me through the large selection of natural wine and also allowed me to take the time to make my own selections after making several recommendations. There was a wine tasting going on in the very cool, low ceiling basement which was also great! This place is one of a kind and I can’t wait to go back!!
Brian Lin: Awesome free tastings and friendly people
Mike B: I went there with very limited knowledge of Natural Wines. But the staff was super informative and gave me some great recommendations.
Michael Evans: This place has the most interesting and unique wine selection in Boston. They also have cool free tastings on Friday which are always awesome!
Ashley Marsh: Fabulous natural wine selection! Having transplanted from San Francisco, I found it to have a wonderful selection of familiar wines: both smart California producers as well as international picks. A delight.
Christopher Steele: Go here for dry, funky, natural wines in particular. If you live nearby, take the trouble to sign up for the mailing list. The tastings and specials ($100 cases!) more than merit the extra baggage in your inbox.
Dick Marks: Staff/owners are gross, insecure, self-righteous, indignant and repulsive. Not much left of this place since it changed ownership.
