erica redner: I went in not really knowing how to describe what I had and didnt take a good picture, but I had the old hinge (no longer made and was broken). I felt really dumb because what should have been an easy fix was, in fact, a mess. The gentlemen who helped me were awesome. I showed them the old hinge and described the cabinet door and placement. They told me what I needed was no longer made, but showed me the newer way of doing it and how to install it. I finally got around to doing it. Cabinet fixed!

Skip Shimer: I bought a product from them that was defective. When I asked that it be replaced they told me not their problem, they only sell it. Call the manufacturer was the extent of their help. Terrible customer service. Might as well just shop on line with free shipping.Follow up to my review. I brought this issue up with corporate customer service. The manager of Woburn told corporate customer service that he did not have any of my item in stock so he could only send me to the manufacturer. That was a lie. First, he never looked at inventory but immediately told me to contact the manufacturer. Second, I looked at the web page after speaking with him and it reported three of my item in stock at the store. Why pay more money for the worse customer service than I get using e-tail stores?

Palo Coleman: Classic east coast service with attitude. They can't be bothered to answer about even the most simple thing possible like what the price is on the lumber. Go any where else. Find a family owned lumber yard to to support but not these guys.

Anastasia Ekman: We were dealing with Greg Caplan, no idea how the other employees are. We reached out to them because of cracked window. 2 guys came to look at it, charged us $200 as a deposit, we were told we'll get $100 back and a reduced price afterwards. It turned out that the contractor doesn't work for less than $500, so we never saw the $200 again...So disappointing!!!

This is the best experience I've ever had shopping for house stuff. And the reuse center next door is a playground for anybody who finds themselves handy. If you're looking for cabinets, countertops, some DIY lumber, lighting, doors or other parts, you should head to this establishment, even if it's a 45 minute drive like it is for us.

They needed to double check on some PT lumber I needed (it's low in stock nationwide currently) and called me back soon after checking. I placed my order at 4.30pm on a Thursday. It came the next day about 11:55am. Super fast, reliable, and respectful service. Local business. Good prices. I'll never shop at Home Depot again, and Devon Lumber has a new lifetime customer. Karen Buttiglieri: My husband and I love Anderson McQuaid! The quality of their products is unbelievable! The service we receive from Bob is fabulous too. Years ago we renovated our home that was built in 1933 and replaced all of the moldings. It came out beautiful! We recently moved to a condo which lacked the detail we were accustomed to. We added crown molding and we could not be more pleased. Our next project, we are replacing the door casings and baseboards. We will definitely return to place our order.

Emily Honig: If you own an old house in the Boston area, or if you're working on an old house, you need to know about this place. Their millwork catalog is next level -- if you are having trouble matching a moulding, or your contractor tells you it can't be matched because they don't have it at the big box store, try this place -- they have a huge number of stock profiles, and zillions more "semi custom" profiles (custom, but they already have the knife made, which saves a substantial cost). Their customer service is also excellent, from helping you find the right thing to helping you get it home.

I am not a contractor and didn't know what to expect when I showed up with my molding sample from my house but from Joe in the front office to the experts in the back warehouses, everyone looked at the molding I was trying to match, gave me their suggestions, and then sized it all out, cut the pieces, and had it all ready in 30 minutes. It was a large order and it all seemed effortless and everything was in stock. They actually make all of these wonderful moldings and trim on site so their stock is quite good!

When I walked in I met Bob - my new best friend. Not only did he know what I believe to be every style that they carry off the top of his head, but he was incredibly helpful and insightful about project details that needed to be addressed. Now whenever I go back, I always look for him. As for the product, the options are plentiful, the wood is great quality, and each and every piece was assessed before the final sale. Deon Wolpowitz: Extremely knowledgeable staff that is friendly and accessible. Bob in the molding department went above and beyond! He took the time to help me match moldings to a historic image in order for me to create a replica. Also, the wall of samples really allows a novice to see the moldings in 3D and better understand the catalogue. With employees like Bob, not going anywhere else for moldings.
Clint Rhoden: They're forcing employees to get vax'd or lose their job. They already had a few guys give 2 week notices and others flat out quit. Don't spend your money here. There are other places to get these materials.

Lori Leahy: I have been working on our renovation for a few years now and have gone to many, many home improvement supply places. Not only does this place have an amazing array of molding options they have the friendliest most helpful employees. I walked in there with no idea what I wanted but needed to get something ASAP for the contractors who were waiting for me. I was approached by Bob who quickly pointed out some excellent options, set them up so I could visualize it, cut it to size and loaded it in my car. He was easy going and patient and funny! This renovation has been a bear but it is experiences like this that keep me going. Thanks Bob, we could not have asked for better service or advice!
