Sara Choi: I was I introduced to WFOB through Groupon, where I bought 10 personal training sessions. I wanted to get more into strength training versus cardio, so I thought a personal trainer would help me navigate all those scary machines I always see at the gym.My trainer was Melanie, and I like to tell people that she wasn't only my trainer, but also my spiritual guide. She went above and beyond to make sure that I was healthy physically, but also mentally, and that did a lot for my confidence. I enjoyed the first 10 sessions with her so much that I signed up for 12 more.I also took a Strong by Zumba class and it didn't have anything to do with Zumba, but I loved it all the same. This is a fantastic gym that is well equipped and well-priced for a place in downtown Boston.
Techie Tutorial: RE: 30 days for $30 special. Have attended 3 weeks of Zumba and Strong classes. Highly recommend both! The music is great and the instructors are top notch and super friendly.Docked one Star due to the age of the facility and lighting. While not brand new, management clearly works hard to keep the space clean and organized. Impressed with the experience and looking forward to attending more classes!

They offer great classes (zumba, weight lifting, cardio circuit) and the price is so affordable (50$ +half of it as an initiating fee total 84$ ) Plus that they have a one week trial which I thought is a great thing to try before commiting. I love this gym, the trainers are nice and the push you to the core!

Kate Fussner: I love WFOB! It's well located, fairly priced, always clean and welcoming. This is the first gym where I've felt like I'm a part of a community, not a gross downtown gym. I'm never going back to Planet Fitness now that I know what great training, personality, warmth and encouragement I can get from WFOB! The owner, Julie, works so hard to make sure that everyone gets a great experience. This is a truly wonderful small business!

Vicki Hanes: I started taking classes at WFOB last winter and I was instantly hooked! I loved the Zumba class with Dianna. When I felt ready, I started taking more classes like Piloxing and Body Shred with Julie and LOVED them. By the spring I found myself going their five days a week and saw major results. I’ve always had trouble committing to a gym. At WFOB I felt comfortable and motivated to come to the gym! The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and motivating. When I can’t make it to a class I love to use the machines and weight room.I never have to wait for a machine or weights. Most members work in the city and go before or after work. I work nights but the class schedule and gym hours work perfectly for me .WFOB is a hidden gem! I’m so happy I found it!!

Women's Fitness of Boston is super judgement free and the membership fee is WAY more affordable than other women only gyms in Boston. Everything is clean and well maintained and the staff is all very friendly. The group classes are amazing as well. I'm always looking forward to going back!
KellyAnn Tsai: Highly recommend this place, especially if you live in the neighborhood. A membership here is nearly half the price of gyms in the area, without sacrificing quality. While it may not be as glossy as other, more expensive places, it has everything I need in a comfortable atmosphere. All equipment is clean and organized. There's a good array of cardio machines, strength training, weights, exercise balls, yoga mats, etc. They have lockers available for use, plus showers and even hair dryers. They also offer fitness classes and personal training. It can get somewhat crowded, but I usually go in the morning and am only one of maybe 5 other people. Plus, they offer a free 1-week trial, which is a really nice and convenient way to figure out if the gym works for you.Just a couple minor downsides. I do wish their schedule fit mine a little better...I prefer working out in the mornings, but most classes/personal training sessions take place midday or in the evenings (which is great for people who work in the area). They are closed on Sundays, but I think this is typical of most gyms around here, plus they are open for limited hours on Saturdays. I also wish they had a few more higher-weight dumbbells (for example they have 10, 15, and 20 lbs, but not 12.5 or 17.5)...but that's really a minor quibble.Basically, this is a very good gym at a very reasonable cost. Highly recommend!

Laura Silvian: Lindsay runs a fantastic, fun class — her optimism and encouragement keeps us all energized and dancing our hearts out! Lindsay a great Teacher— she breaks down complex dance moves into smaller parts to help you remember what comes next. And having classes several times a week on zoom makes it possible to join no matter what your schedule!
Zoe Summit: Lindsay is the most amazing Zumba teacher I have ever had! She cares about her students as individuals and she fosters an environment where we all feel happy, safe, excited, and motivated to dance our hearts out! Most impressively, she has managed to translate that environment to Zoom- I never thought I would feel the same level of energy and group accountability alone in my living room as I did at a live Zumba class! Worth every penny!

Sarah Onofri: I can't say enough good things about Lindsay's Zumba classes! I started with her five years ago took a break when I moved away but when I moved back this fall and came back to her class, it felt like I had never left. Lindsay is an awesome teacher, and really makes you feel like you an important part of the class. Lindsay's Zumba classes are great for people of all skill-levels, she breaks down new moves, and the dances are easy to follow along with. The hour long class goes by quickly because you're always moving and staying engaged in the class. Lindsay also varies the classes, so you aren't always doing the same exact routine, but doing different songs and dances. She always starts with a warm up, which helps to get started, does arm work with weights, which adds some variety, and always ends with a cool down. She asks for our input on favorite songs or dances, and will often pull out a song we haven't done in a while if someone requests it. I've tried other Zumba classes but Lindsay's is the only one that I've ever really felt totally comfortable in. Lindsay is definitely my favorite Zumba teacher!

Celina Colby: When I decided to check out Benefitness I had never been inside a gym before, never mind worked out in one. And frankly, I was terrified. From the moment I stepped through the doors the Benefitness staff made me feel at ease. They were welcoming, exhaustive in their explanations of the facility, and eager to address even my most mundane anxieties.The facilities are clean, the machines are comprehensive and up-to-date, and the class schedule is extensive. The instructors are talented, knowledgable, and friendly. But perhaps most importantly, Benefitness is a true community. As a staple in Brookline Village for almost 40 years, the gym has cultivated a strong, supportive group of women. For a newbie like myself that has been invaluable.I like to say it took a village to get me exercising, and that village was the Benefitness community. Without the encouragement and guidance of both the instructors and the other members I would never have discovered the joys of exercise. I'm the strongest I've ever been and it's thanks to the women in this community.I can't recommend Benefitness enough!

Nicholas Yodotti: OK, this is a women's gym, but I'm helping my mom write a review. She's been going here as long as I can remember, so she has a lot of friends from the gym. Apparently there is a grandmother with a 6 pack who works here, but maybe that's just urban legend. It seems like the women who staff this place have been here forever, and Benefitness is their fountain of youth. She mostly takes classes and constantly talks about how great TRX is for her balance and core. If your mom wants to work out, she should check this place out. But be warned that you might get nagged about working out yourself.

They take advantage of COVID19 and charge people for NO Service.We called them before the pandemic and asked them to CANCEL the subscription, in response they told us that they CANNOT cancel because they are NOT fully operational because of the PANDEMIC, instead they put they put the subscription on HOLD.2 days ago they charged our credit card $120.00 for NO REASON and their STAFF are telling us that THEY WILL NOT REFUND the money.SO THEY CHARGED US FOR THE PERIOD THAT THEY WERE CLOSED (APRIL-MAY-JUNE-JULY).We called and informed them that we'll ask our Credit Card company to return the money. Guess what happened after all these? - They sent us an email THREATENING us.... WHAT an UNPROFESSIONAL WAY OF DOING BUSINESS.

Although they offer classes that seem popular, I stick to just using the machines. There are many of them and the club offers a good range in regards to variety. Even though I am moving to a new apartment, I will continue my membership.
Katherine Adams: Benefitness has all the machines I want. The Pilates and TRX small group classes are excellent. I've done a lot of Pilates Reformer classes and these rank with the best. The vibe is very friendly as well. A little friendlier and more relaxed than other clubs I have gone to. Just seems more like home. A real sense of belonging there.

They recently hired a new yoga teacher named Jessica and she is fabulous (as are other teachers). There are also lots of great, high energy cardio classes. Classes are not the only way to go though; there are plenty of machines and there has always been enough room to work out using free weights or doing abs. The membership is reasonable and great for grad students because you can pause your membership for up to three months. Join Benefitness!

Ellenjoy Fields: I have been a member of Benefitness for many years..The women that work for the club are all ( the ones I have met) dedicated to their jobs..When I was younger, I worked very hard...boot camp. many classes, lifting weights etc..As I age, I am able to do many things, but not as much as before..They have helped me and given me many options for having and keeping a healthy body for a long period of time. I am proud to say that I belong to this club. It is safe, clean and the "gym rats" that I socialize are wonderful..A great experience for any age.

I considered many gyms in the area and ultimately decided to have a tour of Benefitness. I liked the fact that they offered classes, equipment and the all-women facility. After touring the gym, I immediately signed up and I have not been disappointed.Now I have been a member of Benefitness for about seven months and I love it. They have tons of classes. I recommend jump & jab, the yoga classes, and zumba! The instructors are very friendly and helpful. I also signed up for three personal training sessions with Lucia who is amazing. She created a workout for me that I have been doing now for approximately 3 months or so.The facility is always clean and I've never had a problem getting a piece of equipment that I wanted to use, even on the most crowded of times. The locker rooms have showers with shampoo and body wash, a sauna room, bathrooms and changing rooms. Compared to other gyms in the area, I really don't find Benefitness to be too expensive, considering HealthWorks down the street is almost double and is always way too crowded.I've never had an issue with parking because I take the green-line over and walk over. It's about a 10-minute walk from the C-line Coolidge Corner stop and a 3-minute walk from the D-line Brookline Village stop. It's a very convenient location.Also, Benefitness is incredibly understanding when it comes to freezing your account for 1-3 months. I'm a law school student, so I froze my account over Christmas break because why would I pay for a gym that I won't be using at all? Benefitness froze my account and only charged me $9 fee. That saved me a ton of money. I know a friend of mine who had to pay only $10 less than what is regularly paying per month to freeze his gym membership.I really recommend Benefitness if you're looking for an all women's gym with classes and a friendly staff.

Katharina Jordan: Staff was friendly, the gym was clean and the bathrooms were pristine. Shower head pressure was great and water got hot quickly. The sinks also have built in hand dryers for each faucet which was really nice to see.

Derek777: Very nice gym! It is big, has plenty of cardio equipment and the personal trainers there are excellent and highly certified/qualified. This gym is kept exceptionally clean at all times and follows very strict adherence to the COVID-19 social distancing and sanitizing guidelines. The locker room is big and well equipped. It has a sauna/steam room as well, though these facilities are closed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Daycare is available for the little ones. There are fitness rooms for spin classes, yoga classes, zumba classes and personal training classes. The management team is interactive with their members and always keep us well informed via email communications. Alyssa is the General Manager and she is always friendly, professional and courteous. Alyssa greets you with a big smile and a warm "hello". Alyssa is also always ready to answer any and all questions that you may have regarding your fitness goals. The front desk staff are also friendly and courteous and they are ready to answer any questions. I highly, highly recommend Bodyscapes Fitness.
Say Gim: I've been living in the Boston area for four years and was getting tired of the jerks at my gym. I appreciate how Alyssa and her crew took me in and asked me what my personal goals were, and developed a plan to make my goals a reality. The classes, free with membership, were a GODSEND. I'm telling everyone to come here!

Anna Gilad (Anya): The location and the amenities are very nice. Also it's nice having a mixed gym in the area and not only for wo/men (as apparently it's not trivial).The cons are: 1. It's pricey2. The most loved instructors left3. There are too many things to remember while joining (fees for different stuff). And personally I don't like the reason 'like all other in the area'. If you want me to choose you, do something different :)

Jeremy Bredfeldt: I feel like the staff here is much more helpful than the Longwood staff. The facility is great. I'd rather work out here than Longwood, but Longwood is in a more convenient location. I'm glad to have the option though.
