Celeste De Palma: This place is so homey! Staff is very friendly and are happy to give their recommendations. The food is exquisite! I was so happy to find this phenomenal Ethiopian place. Sarah Wang: Such a fun vibe and great flavors! Loved the huge plates and eating with my hands. I don’t think I am the biggest fan of Eritrean food, but everything tasted great. I especially loved the sponginess of the bread :) Very friendly waitress too! I recommend getting the trials of the meat and veggie, so you can taste everything! Surprisingly, I liked the bean dishes the best.
Micki Reinhorn: Great flavor. Fun environment for familyRecommended dishes Meat Combination …More
James Zabik: The ambiance is pretty casual, and you come in and wait in line until your part can be seated. My party and I ordered the meat combo and the veggie combo so we could try a bunch of things. It was totally the best move because we got to try so many amazing things. Eating with your hands and the injera bread was a little weird at first but after a minute I was loving the experience!I would definitely come back here as it was all so flavorful and different than most things around here. I definitely recommend visiting!

Suya Joint Restaurant: what do users think?
Luisa Sin: Definitely try this restaurant! Food tastes great, portions are good, and staff is friendly. We had 2 of the stews, fufu, Jollof rice, plantains, spicy wings, and meat pies. If you never had Nigerian food you should give it a try.
Cass Levitre: Service and food was amazing
Melanie Sturrup: Vegetarian options: I didn't order the vegetarian mealDietary restrictions accommodated Vegetarian, Vegan Recommendation for vegetarians Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings Large vegetarian selection …More
Chloe Conroy: I came here and it was my first time trying Nigerian food and I can easily say it was a 10/10 experience! Not only was the food delicious but the waitresses and vibes were AMAZING! The waitresses taught us how to eat fufu correctly and we’re always available for any questions we had, they had live DJ music and the people were so friendly!
Rashida Simone: The restaurant is nice and quaint. The staff was courteous. I really enjoyed the greens and the sorrel. Just be prepared to pay a service fee and gratuity is automatically charged.
Christian Lecorps (Mr. Full Circle): Food is amazing and the DJ was great. Our server was fantastic but they are under staffed so go with patience
Nayda Assata: At one point, they were terrific! I called to schedule them for a big order, as usual, and both ladies I spoke to had nothing but attitude. I wouldn’t suggest anyone order from here unless they have a professional platform to order from. All in all, I will not be supporting them again as an individual.
Phili Bonyo: A lively place with great food and great customer service!Recommended dishes Pounded Yam Fufu and Egusi Soup …More
Jhoan Campos: The waiting for the pickers is stupid, I get in this place and I wait more than 30 minutes and when I get there they told me just 3 minutes. I had to leave the place without the order!
Shann S.: I got Take Out by ordering online. It was FABULOUS. The flavor profiles had depth & savour.I got my friend goat soup, to help him get past the covid.Much love to the powerful women, running a delicious hidden gem on Dudley St.Vegetarian options: Vegetable Samoa was tasty; I could have eaten 2 orders!Parking: Plentiful, free on street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: May be a bump over the threshold, but can pull up to a table.Dietary restrictions: Lovely atmosphere music.
Angelina Rivera: I’ve tried a few Nigerian restaurants out in Boston, but Suya Joint is my favorite for both customer service/food quality. I’m from Cape Cod but commute to an appointment in Boston every 6-8 weeks, and THIS place is what I treat myself to afterwards each time.Their beef samosas are great to hold me over during the ride home, it’s hard not to eat the rest of the food because it all smells so good. Freshest fufu/pounded yam I’ve had. I eat the pounded yam with their Red Stew (add beef) which I know isn’t traditionally eaten together. However, I believe some of the native stews are more of an acquired taste. My significant other eats majority of what I bring home, even after stating he doesn’t want any…. I guess it’s just that good! 😊We plan on coming here together to dine in & try more native stews with the fufu. & get some of our favorite stew for home of course.Customer service is always great, no complaints on my end. Staff is very friendly. There can be a wait, so order ahead, and remember it’s worth it! 😍 🏽- Lina
Ozen Dizman: Wait forever, they keep saying 5 mins for 37 mins.Service: 1/5 …More
Yvonne marte: Amazing food!! 10 out of 10. Seriously Sensational. Music is fire. Drinks are fire too. & the Staff is friendly. My husband is from London and was dying to eat Nigerian food and he was sooooo happy to find this gem. Must have 👌🏼
Jeff Vigurs: this place is a gem! food was amazing, staff was super friendly. highly recommend checking this out.
Keith Paige: Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Tansi Stan: The food here are the best of the best in Boston, MA especially West and Central African foods. They have the best Cooks in town, I have never been disappointed with my almost every week orders from Okra, Egusi soup, pepper soup, goat meat and etc, plus the have a fantastic, helpful staff to serve you!
Kissi Stinson: My food was good... but my daughter and grandson food wasn't, they couldn't eat it. It was too spicy the waitress took ten dollars of the bill. So we payed $67.00 for my egusi stew with fufu... The prices are very steepFood: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Pounded Yam Fufu and Egusi Soup …More
Motoloki Tournas: Expect long wait for a menu or glass of water, bad customer service but food is great!!
Jackiethe great: I really like this restaurant. Today was my first time. I waited a little while longer than expected for a meal that I know was already prepared. Overall, nice atmosphere, great food, nice size portions, nice staff. I would cut the prices down.

Bintimani Restaurant: what do users think?
Earlie Maria Knuckles: Food is nice here.
Aron Hotep: One of Boston's best Somali restaurants
Samantha Kunz: Authentic and delicious! Josiah and his wife are phenomenal cooks and great company. The whole experience carries fantastic ambiance!
Darien Williams: delicious and fantastically prepared food. Great, friendly service, and quality experience! i'll definitely be coming back
Joseph Powell: This place was unlike any place I’ve ever been. Go for the experience. The food, I didn’t love, but then I have zero experience with west African eating. The ‘plaza’ it is in is an experience in itself. It reminded me of some very out-of-the-way places I’ve been to in the Caribbean. Then the ‘restaurant’ ... it’s a cluttered room no more than 10x10 with this guy lounging in an easy chair and talking on the phone. He was very chill and polite. He showed me into the kitchen which was ... I don’t know. There were four metal cafeteria serving trays. Cassava leaf, cray cray, and two rice. He gave me some of each. They both have chunks of chicken full of bits of bone, so eat carefully. He asked if I wanted to eat here. I didn’t see any place to do that, so I paid (do I need to say bring cash?), and went on my way.It was worth going for the experience. I can’t really say if the food was good, having nothing to compare it to. I’m glad I went, but I won’t go again-especially because I don’t live in Boston.
Tola Bavery: I’ve never been anywhere like this! Smells horrible and it’s very dirty.
James S. Barnes: Sabbe talk krio? cam to Portland, Maine. I go be de best customer. I stayed at Hotel Bintimani on Lumley Beach. I called. No answer. Disconnected. I would like foo-foo shipped frozen to me every day or week.
Monica M Redmond-Sovie: Love love love
Megann: I had cassava leaves over there that I ate with chikwangue I had at home. But the next day I still had leftovers so eventually eat it with rice, really good, really spicy too though! It’s close to the Congolese way, there’s peanut butter in it.
Seynabou Elisabeth Dicko: Great food ! You should try the krin krin or the cassava leaf stew. The BEST in Boston! I highly recommend
Tejan Bayoh: Good customer service
Mohamed K Sheriff: Excellent
Deo D.: Dirty, repulsive, filthy.
Theresa Smith: I met this couple yesterday. Amazing food. I will be returning soon..
Carl Breneus: Good quality and tasting food...
Sidney Davis: The cook of the Bintimani Restaurant near Dudley Station makes the most delicious African Cassava Leaf and Okra stew/soup, and she gives a generous portion for the inexpensive price.

Sheger Cafe and Ethiopian Restaurant LLC: what do users think?
Nathan Parker: One of the better places in the area. Highly recommend.
Sean Steckbeck: Amazing place and warm atmosphere!
Robel: They serve old MICROWAVED injera, no shame in their game. I’ve never seen any habesha people eating there so that says enough on its own. If you’re looking for good Ethiopian, look elsewhere.
Sean McKenna: Nice waitress serving the food and enjoyed the food
Tim Russell: Get the Tomato Fit Fit. It is so good. You will not regret it.Vegetarian options: Veggie platter is good, but also order a side of Shiro Wat!Recommended dishes Tomato Fitfit, Shiro Wot Dine in: Yes Outdoor seating: No Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes …More
Miles: Love!Recommended dishes Combo Platter, Samosa …More
Minzhao Liu: Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
T H: First time trying and was so disappointed. I ordered lamb tibs, and shiro wot. The injera was old and firm, lamb tibs had no flavor, no berbere, and shiro was watery. Even if it was free this food is not worth it. Eat literally at any other Ethiopian or eritrean restaurant and it will be 100% better.
Hannah Weigert: We order takeout from here often and the food is consistently delicious and is ready within 10 mins. We usually get the ultimate combo.
Jonathan Kebede: The worst place to order food. I order the most easiest food they can make “gored gored” man the messed it in every possible way. You shouldn’t not be allowed to have a restaurant. You should be ashamed of yourself to own Ethiopian restaurant and not able to make “gored gored”
Sa Essa: I wished I can put 0 star, cold not fresh food and they refused to heated for us we left it all we couldn’t even take a bite
Tekie Anday: Not very professional service, the food 8s also off taste. Kitfo special didn't taste normal. No butter taste in kitfo, who makes kitfo with oil? Quit the kitfo or make it right.
L Y: Went there on Monday night, and we were the only customers, I ordered two entrees, the one was recommended by the owner, it was mostly starchy bread with beef jerky, have to say that was a huge mistake. The lamb dish were ok, very little food though. Taste were ok, and I had much better Ethiopian foods before. It's one of those restaurants that you go once and won't return. My friend had the veggie combo, very little food as well. It did take two meat entrees to feed one person.
Geetika Bajpai: Big fan of Ethiopian cuisine. Tried this cafe after all the ratings. Got the vegetarian combo plate. The food was okay, for some reason seemed really low on flavor side. Bread itself wasn't sour as it was supposed to be. Wasn't the best of Ethiopian food of all the places tried. May be it was just that day of takeout ? Not sure. Lentils, also tasted pretty bland. Not the best of experience.
Ruta: Nice place.Good food. The chicken was really goodDine in: Yes Takeout: Yes …More
Amelia Nayfield: I've been here multiple times and everytime it's fantastic! The service is fast and everyone is so genuine and kind. The food is immaculate and I cannot recommend it enough. The atkilt is my favorite but just about whatever you order is fantastic. The shiro wot and samosas are divine. This restaurant deserves a full five stars everytime. The portions are very generous especially for the price. One of my favorite restaurants I have ever been to!
Rod Nayfield: Incredible Ethiopian cuisine. I have been to many Ethiopian restaurants up and down the east coast from DC, to NYC, and Boston ... Sheger is among the best - including the famed DC Adams Morgan restaurants. As you can see from the photo, we had a massive amount of food shared between three people. The Ethiopian samosa appetisers were great and the food arrived quickly. We took home leftovers and saved room for the baklava dessert which was fantastic.Highly recommended.
Julia Zhu: My favourite local Ethiopian place! They have a big meat/veggie combo I like to get. Try the honey wine!
J Smith: Will not dine here again, wait staff was rude and did not accommodate, asked for papers and after explaining why I could not provide I was told to leave and not return. Wrong side of history...
Elinor Actipis: I used to like this place, but it's very unfriendly and discriminates against customers based on medical status for no clear reason, not in accordance with town regulations.
Brian Leslie: Sloooow, inattentive service from a waiter who has to be beckoned to bring us water and the check. But there is zero atmosphere or ambience. No background music playing, which makes it TOO quiet, so much so that we felt the need to speak softly to avoid having every word we say be audible to every other table in the restaurant. all this made for a very awkward dining experience. After eating here twice, we won't be back. Not recommended for vegans. I specified vegan and yet my food came out on the same plate (and comingled with) meat dishes my friend ordered.

kirahhh.: I got the fufu and a egusi soup and normally this meal tastes great but they don’t know how to cook it. It tasted terrible!! i will never go back there again. It has no flavor and tasted and smelled fishy. The consistency was not at all how it was supposed to be. money in the trash smh.
Faty ba: I ordered food here for the first time thiep bu djeun. The food was delicious but the serving was way too small. I was not even full. Also charging people 16 for thiep and using tilapia for fish is not right to come on guys.
Anthony Adugbo (Chicksfada): Delicious. Try the okra soup n peanut soup. Woooooow! I want more😋🥣
Fatima Barry: The male manger there is rude and Condescending. He treats the community that employs him with arrogance and feels entitled as they are the few African restaurants available locally and therefore thinks people will return despite how he talks to them. I can go in further to what took place but think it’s best I have it addressed by the BBB. I have referred many non Africans to their business that usually order through a food service /third party. They usually order it because of me because of how much I rave about west African cuisine . Today I went in person to pick up an order and the owner gave me a blank stare because I didn’t elaborate on the specifics of the order. I listened to him express his frustration on how I didn’t know how to order but not once clarify or educate me. I left empty handed and I will Never visit this place again and i would only hand over my hard earned money to a respectful business place.
