Siddharth Raju: Since I moved to the neighborhood last year, Norton's has been my go-to spot for all my alcohol needs. They've got a respectable craft beer selection, especially for a store of their size; I've been able to find pretty niche stuff from the west coast that I don't see in most other places. The owners are super friendly and seem to get along with regular customers. And they do tastings with local wine sellers on Saturdays (maybe Fridays too) which is great for expanding your horizons and supporting locals! Some of the beers are a little pricier than I would expect ( $13 for a 4-pack from Night Shift) but generally you can get 6-packs of classics like Fat Tire and 90-minute for under $12. Overall, prices are very reasonable, especially given that they have a super convenient location right on Mass Ave and their own private parking lot in a fairly dense business area.I think the previous ownership was perhaps not the greatest (it was before I moved so I can't personally comment) which is why you may see some less than positive reviews on reviews prior to 2019. The new owners, however, are fantastic and I wish them continued success in the coming years.

They have some high end, limited bottles and are always happy to find what you want. Great prices as well.

I used to come here regularly.However, some of the management behavior is rather questionable. During the pandemic, when masks were in short supply, the store started to sell loose KN95 masks and hand sanitizer at ridiculous markups (something like $10 a mask), clearly hoping to price gouge and take advantage of a national emergency.Alcohol sales was already at an all time high during the lock down, so one must conclude that the price gouging was done purely out of greed. I cannot in good conscience continue to support this establishment, and will be taking my business elsewhere.

Mark Duddy: This spot is where I am from; I went to grade school on Rindge Avenue. The selection of Fine Spirits, Wine, and Beer is impeccable and the Prices cannot be beaten. My favorite L, or LQ, or Package Store! Ask for my Friend Rodrigo he knows all and you be very pleased. They now deliver as well, the minimum is $50. Most places require a $100 minimum; keep the old BRIDGE ALIVE👍

Jacob: I used to be a regular customer, but came in today to buy a bottle which was clearly marked at $9.99. But, upon arriving at checkout it rang up $2 higher. I was then told that they could not sell it to me at the price on the tag, it would have to be sold at $11.99 instead. The cashier was kind, but explained that they would not honor the price and that is not their policy. Very disappointing experience, I'd recommend taking your business elsewhere and avoiding these scammy tactics. Sav-Mor, more like Pay-Mor!

Derek Martin: Great little liquor store with some nice items on its shelves. This is my favorite kind of liquor store - one of those places where you can find some amazing libations whilst perusing the bargain items. Case in point, Garnish Island Gin, the best gin I have ever had, handcrafted, pot still, botanicals infused in such a way that their essential oils end up in the final product (you can see the fine strands of essential oil when you sip over ice), delicate herbal and floral flavors, $22. I discovered the Royal Jamaican Blackstrap Rum here, a fantastic rum whose natural sweetness only requires a bit of fresh lime juice and perhaps a dash of Angostura Bitters (no simple needed) to make an awesome dark daquiri (and makes drinking healthy, with the nutritional content of blackstrap molasses :) ), $15. I've lived near this store for a year and a half (and shopped at the Trader Joe's nearby even longer) so I've come away from this store with a number of great, new-to-me bottles in the ~$20 range.And if you want to spring for the higher shelf items, they got you covered. On my last trip I saw Monkey 47 and St. George among the usual offerings. I was focused on gin this time, but I recall it being the same for the other spirits as well. This, along with the unusual and rewarding bargain items makes me think those responsible for buying here have an interest in craft spirits and trying things out. They have a great beer selection as well. I have not checked out their wine yet, but it does take up half the store. It's a narrow storefront, but their shelving system accommodates as much as a store twice the size.
