Kimpton Marlowe Hotel: what do users think?
DB Cooper: Very nice hotel, and great staff. Highly recommend.
Vedant Daga: decent room, we had the courtyard view. room itself was alright. front desk service was okay, but room service was very prompt. hotel was in a pretty convenient location and had plenty of things to do nearby.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 4/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Shane Dowler: Probably my favorite Kimpton so far. Huge rooms, a $10 Uber to the North End. As always the staff go out of their way to help you.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view …More
Seth Garfinkel: If you’re not happy at the Marlowe, you’re not going to be happy anywhere. Staff was great, the location has easy access to Boston and Cambridge, and the beds were probably the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve ever encountered. There’s an amenities fee, which is always a little annoying, but at least the amenities are worth it - including a happy hour in the lobby everyday. Will definitely return.
Bobak Ha'Eri: Average hotel that has criminally slow/spotty wifi for any business or academic traveler. No Zoom calls or online lectures were possible to give because the wifi network is totally unreliable: not only weak, but subject to just shutting down for periods long enough to cut a connection. This is unacceptable in 2023, when the world has adapted to remote work, remote meetings, remote life. The hotel is also terribly understaffed, breakfast in the hotel was exceptionally slow because they had a grand total of one person handling all tables at the rush hour of 7:30-8am. Again... 2021-22 was when work shortages were a fashionable excuse. Furthermore the location isn't that great: 2/3s of Uber/Lyft drivers struggle to find the driveway leaving you to run after them when they stop in the wrong place. It's next to a dying mall that has nothing but awful mall food "and a Cheesecake Factory" as though that's of any value to people who want a quick, healthy option (or, you know, have taste in food). Booking this hotel was one of the biggest mistakes I've made. The office chair was uncomfortable for no apparent reason other than aesthetic choice. I simply do not recommend for business, academic work, or anything other than the undemanding guest.Edited to add that:• one night multiple dogs were barking the whole night because it’s “dog friendly” hotel… which is every guest’s problem.• front desk for check out was terrible. No acknowledgment that we walked to the desk, she just talking about some form with another employee on the phone. This is terrible training. Knocked the service down to one star.Internet, loud dogs, and service make this hotel a complete waste.
J D: The hotel appears to have recently been lightly renovated but it needs a full gutting. It feels like the old building that it is, with a veneer of "new" laid on top. The room felt a bit beat up...not what I'd expect from a Kimpton property.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Howard H: The room was very clean and new but the door that connects two rooms together was not very soundproof. I could hear my neighbor talk. The $10 restaurant credit that you get with the amenity fee is problematic. The way you use it is you eat at their restaurant and then put the charge on your room. The problem is they don't check the room number that you tell them. 1. That's a honor system that relies on people's honesty. 2. Good faith mistakes are prone to happen because everyone wants to use up their credit. Good thing I checked all the charges when I checked out. To their credit, they did take the charges off after I notified them. Regardless, it was an unnecessary annoyance.Overall my stay was decent but the value is not there for the premium that they charge.
S D: Nice spot.
Matt Auerbach: Decent location for Cambridge and 10 mins from the airport but the hotel left a lot to be desired — wifi didn’t function at all, calling to the front desk took longer than you’d expect, no extra pillows were available upon request and the only water in the entire hotel costs $6-$8! Comfortable room, bathroom and bed but do not stay for service. The Polaroid camera rental was a redeeming perk though
河合竜也: Very clean and nice amenity but Amenity Fee has been mistakenly charged and they didn’t refund it
Achilles Young: Visiting MIT this was a good choice. Staff really nice and roomsRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
John Morhous: Great hotel, just need to be mindful of where the drop off and parking location is. Wonderful staff and servicesRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Lauren Elizabeth: The room was ok. We stayed in the 1 bedroom suite... the quality of the room isn't worth the price.I am giving five stars for guest services. The staff we encountered during our stay was consistently top-notch. Especially the valet crew; they were very busy but somehow were attentive and made me feel welcome.
Matthew Saunders: The hotel is very nice. Great location and good amenities. The beds, pillows, and the hvac in the rooms leave something to be desired.Rooms: Beds, pillows, and the hvac are not good. I could deal with the bed, being my own pillows but the control of the hvac were not adequate.Nearby activities: Shopping is very very close.
Sam kassis: Another stay for us at a Kimpton Hotel as usual kimpton never disappoint you always good with . This location has a direct access to Galleria Mall in Cambridge so you do not have to go outside perfect for a snowy day.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Nikki S: The hotel was nice and the staff were helpful and pleasant.

Sheraton Boston Hotel: what do users think?
Sashi Niranjan Nair: Would be a 2 star dumpy highway side hotel except for the location. Rooms are poorly maintained and outdated, particularly the bathrooms. Pool is nice but again in need of maintenance. The only reason they can charge their rate is because of the location and attachment to a conference center (they probably know most of their guests are not paying and employers will foot the bill)
Ron Whiting: It’s ok. Overall good service with one exception. But this is a tired property. I asked for a better room because ours was so small and dark but they weren’t very helpful because I think all of the rooms are similar. Would not stay here again. If I needed to be close to the convention center I would look at the Hilton across the street or other nearby choices.
Michael Zeman: Great location for everything Boston.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Kid-friendly …More
Dai Kerien: I loved this hotel! The tap water ran both cold and hot when needed. Rooms were clean. Air-conditioning worked fast. And the vent did a great job getting steam out of bathroom when 4 ppl showered back to back. Simple things made us very happy.Food & drinks: Lots of good food near because the main street is about a 10 min walk.
Alberto Passetti: Albergo ottimamente posizionato. Camere grandi un po' datate e trascurate ma confortevoli. Incomprensibile il servizio di wi-fi, con addebiti fasulli che poi ti rimborsano
Acci Mexico: Excelente servicio, muy buena ubicacion
Andy Decky: Big hotel with huge lobby. There is a market and different shop in the same building witch is very helpful.Nearby activities: Different type of attractions nearby.Walkability: Walkable to many restaurants and shops in Boston.
Jennifer G: This hotel is commonly used for meetings. In fact, I have 2 meetings using this hotel this year. While in a great location to food and shopping, the attitude of the front desk staff is always a hit or miss - and mostly a miss. Both on the phone and in person, I have had the pleasure of dealing with incompetent and unprofessional individuals. One recognized he had made an error and apologized. The other staff member on the phone (“Beryl”) was rude and unprofessional. The rooms are decent size, but the bathroom space is ridiculously small. Overall, the staff members need some serious training in professionalism and hospitality. Sheraton was so much better before they merged with Marriott.
Micheal Armstrong: Recently stayed here for an event and I have incredibly mixed feelings. Check in was horrible. We had booked a room with a view of the Charles River. I had driven 9 Hours there for the event . Went to the desk to see check in availability around 7am. I was told to come back at 10 or 11. Ok fair. I come back at 10. I was told that the room we were assigned has a late checkout. Come back at 3. We came back at 3pm. and we're told we still need to wait and that they would call us immediately when it was available. After sitting there until 6pm (checking a ew times in between.) We then approached the desk a final time where I was told the room was ready and simply handed keys . No call or anything. Great. get to the room. Amazing view and all. Clean and well kept. We purchased some items from the market below to snack on. Some we put in the fridge. One item in particular, A cup of fruit we took out later the same day to find the fruit molding. For 10$ a cup I was shocked to see such lack of care on freshness Thankfully it was on the top of the cup and easily noticeable else who knows but I'm not going to attack what ifs. Room service was great and prompt with service and checking out was painless. The TVs are outdated. They are smart TVs however the processors are extremely slow. For reference I was trying to watch a Netflix show and the captions wouldn't really work , very intermittent and would only even show up half the time. Tried restarting tv, trying different shows, using other services. CC is simply not happening on those TVs. Overall not a bad stay but for a 4 star Hotel I was quite disappointed with the initial check in which was quite ridiculous especially considering how much the room costs but was a memorable stay nonetheless. Would have been much less frustrating had we not been ping ponged about so long on check in. Great location within walking range of everything you would want to be in walking range of and a view of Boston that you would be extremely hard pressed to find in any other building..
Henry Marcus: Pricey, but very nice hotel staff.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Shayna: pricy for a hotel with no vending machines that sends you across the street to the hilton for their 24h snack bar. the rooms are alright, nothing special. the staff aren’t very friendly and have a lot of miscommunication issues — and one of the front desk managers who i spoke to after my card was charged THREE times instead of once (which sent my bank acct into the negatives) was extremely rude/entitled & wouldn’t allow me to speak or properly ask questions. i won’t ever return.
Sam B: The room we got was on the expensive side but it was huge! Great view. And was right above the convention center Anime Boston was in so the convenience couldn't be beat. We didn't have to go outside at all. I forgot my toothbrush and the front desk gave me one. Shower was hot.The only warning I have is that the parking garage under the building is a nightmare. Bad/no signs. And dead ends all over... People had to get out of their cars to direct traffic around it was so bad...
Seth Dean: Great place to stay in Boston connected to the convention centerRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet …More
W. LaBelle: So far so good. We arrived yesterday, room is clean, staff are polite, there are a lot of people here for the anime boston event so it is very crowded downstairs..self parking is a nightmare though
