BayState Archers Training Center: what do users think?
Alex Noll: The beauty of owning your own business is making your own rules. I won't be required to wear a mask to patronize your business :shrugs:
Harris Yu: The staff we had was rude and passive aggressive towards us. We didn't feel like we're welcomed there. Don't expect to be treated nicely here. Do yourself a favor, find another place to shoot.
Caroline Kranefuss: The instructor was so kind and very helpful! He did a good job balancing giving advice and pointers with letting us figure it out on our own. The place is well-run and organized. Definitely coming back here!
Dylan Steven: I was really interested in doing some archery classes but these folks don't make it easy. I mistakenly registered for the wrong dates and immediately asked for a refund only to be told several weeks later that they do not offer any.Though I mistakenly registered, they still didnt send any information regarding what to expect of the class and it all felt very shady.
Ricky Joaquin: Range was fun and easy to navigate. The instructor gave good pointers and communicated well. It was my first time and i will be going back. While there, some people weren't following the safety rules or the dry fire rule, so they did get spoken to. First time nicely. Second accertively. If you dry fire you, run the risk of breaking the bow, and if you brake it, you bought it. If you break a safety rule, someone gets hurt. So be patient with the instructors and they will be patient with you. Also leave the forearm guards when your done 😆
Mario Marchio: Horrible place horrible customer service. After taking a 30 mile ride down with my 7 year old and 5 year old to bring them to try archery for the first time (after calling repeated times prior to leaving and no one answering the phone). We arrived and a super rude attendant told us that my children were too young to shoot. Place is small and dismal. I was ok with the kids not shooting but then I starting looking at their bows for sale and the same rude ignorant helper proceeded to tell me it to touch the bows. DO NOT HONOR THIS PLACE WITH YOUR BUSINESS. Whomever this awful attendant was needs a lesson in manners and customer service. If I could leave less than a star I would.
Job Thies: Pretty disappointed with both experiences. The first time I showed up the instructor was yelling at a child who was there for the first time to learn. The second time I came back to pick up the arrows they fitted. The quality of work was poor with glue on the shafts, feathers not lined correctly, and different weight field tips.Won't be returning.
Jerry C: Wonderful experience at BayState Archers. We did a summer camp class - 100% worth it. Variety of people in class and everyone had a great time…youngest to oldest. The Allen's coaching team helped us all - learn to shoot properly, enjoy archery and make real progress. We appreciated the respectful and positive atmosphere.Tips: Go and encourage others to go. Know that they have a coaching philosophy that they take seriously and works. The atmosphere reminded us of a martial arts center. Strongly consider starting with a class/lesson or two. Maybe take a class with a friend, partner or family member – it’s even more fun.Next time you are thinking about golf, fencing, bowling, martial arts, curling, disc golf, axe throwing or some other trending sport…give BayState Archers a try.
Grace Fu: Not cheap! It is 20 dollars per person per hour. They will teach customers how to do it.
Jeremy Krantz: Came here on a whim with my brother-in-law and his fiancée to shoot some arrows at the targets on a random weekend. We walked in and eventually were greeted by someone who walked us over to the equipment and helped us get geared up. We were taught about the house rules which basically just means that we can only go fetch the arrows when told, to avoid incidents and off we went. For the most part we all had fun and the prices were fair. The equipment, however felt pretty cheap and some of the arrows didn't have the torque required to poke through the target. We tried different bows and none of them felt really sturdy and the strings felt a little loose.I get it though, why have fancy equipment up for rental. Like I said, no big deal and we had fun. I'd definitely go back to relieve some stress.
Thoeun Kong: The archery experience was a bit ruined by the instructor's personality. It was enough for me to not go again. I couldn't tell when he was joking or being serious. There was some passive aggressiveness for sure. If you do decide to go, just make sure you don't sit in the seat with the sign on it. He'll get really upset. :/
Eugenia Valerie Clifford: My 9 year old son and I have taken classes here on a few occasions in the past and really enjoyed our time here.Last time we popped in for an open range and our experience was not as great.Sadly the instructor didn't seem welcoming and rather rude to us. We won't be coming back.
Jared Schultz: My wife, buddy, and I had a great time. The manager was helpful in getting us set up and explaining the rules. Will return again.
Natalie Allen: This is a great place to learn archery. Love thats is black owned by 2 brothers. Adore Keith he's a great instructor. Strong, kind and knowledgeable.
T Ro: Rude and condescending manager, seriously it’s like talking to a whiny kid. I shoot guns a lot so I thought it would be a nice change of pace to try archery since it’s more chill. Definitely not coming back here though. The range “safety” is also laughable, the guy is on his phone the whole time and just spouts commands without looking up.
Marissa Henson: Why am I PAYING to go to an archery range and have the instructors be rude/demeaning with me? The instructor was mostly on his phone and was calling out sullen commands after being super condescending when showing us how to shoot and answering the few questions we had.To sum up the energy in here… there were a few chairs with large signs on them saying “Managament only… if you aren’t getting paid to work here, that means NOT you.” That’s basically the overall vibe of the place. Won’t be returning to this location. I’m sure there are more friendly archery ranges that are worth the drive.
Gaila Fernandez: What an amazing experience. Brought my nephew on a Sunday and he had the best time!! Keith thank you so much for introducing archery and having the patience teaching my nephew. Definitely will be back….
Yllaena Santos: The place is great! I've went there multiple times with my family. Love the experience every time we go there.
Moo: Went in excited to shoot my new bow and get some practice. Felt the staff and the facility had very low/bad energy, really felt like no one wanted to be there. Only plus is closest range to Boston. Will likely not come back
Nick M: Fun place, great knowledgeable staff, very accommodating
Camilla Damlund: Great spot; excellent coaching, low key fun, great people running it. Do recommend.

Lennart Z: Had a great time there. They squeezed us in on a busy Saturday but took their time for us and were very patient. Will is a great instructor!
Barboza Jackson: It's fun in there they provide good services they are very nice. Location is hard to notice cause there is no signs only at the door. Parking is street parking no parking for the range. Going shooting in there they will take time to teach you what you don't know.
Tarak Mehta: I found Dan to be an excellent instructor who clearly knew his craft. He quickly and efficiently went over the key points of firearm safety and handling.Once we began shooting, Dan was incredibly attentive and helpful, providing feedback and guidance to help us improve our aim and technique. He was patient and encouraging, and made sure that we were having a great time.I found Dan to be a skilled and knowledgeable instructor who was committed to helping us learn and have a positive experience at Boston Gun and Rifle. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to learn about firearms and improve their shooting skills.

Jendell Teixeira: We came here for a public range session, and we had an amazing time. All of the staff was super friendly and welcoming. They took their time and explaining and teaching all the parts of shooting the guns. We can’t wait to go back to get our LTC!!
zaiyang zhong: Absolutely fantastic. It was my first time to go to the field and my first time hearing a gun shot & holding real gun. The service is super friendly and our instructor goes over everything about safety and watches over us for the whole time. I really appreciate his patience! I was particularly scared but he called me up front and made a shot right in front of my face to ease my anxiety & I was successful after that. We tried six guns and they got bigger each time, but the whole thing was very interesting, exciting and safe.
Hoanganh Nguyen: Really enjoy the experience, and the staffs are very nice.
cristian soler: It was the best experience I have in Boston, my girlfriend loved her teaching. Thank you !!
Emely Nunez: It was my first time at the range and I had a blast with my sweet, patient instructor, Dan! He was detailed, patient, personable and knowledgeable. We only paid $100 to try out about 6-7 different type of guns for about 1hr and 15min. You can’t beat that. The entire staff was lovely. Will definitely be coming back. For my first time i didn’t do so bad thanks to DAN!!!
Kevin McGarry: Had an awesome time here this past weekend - went with a few friends and we had instructors Dan and Jesús. They were very knowledgeable and curious to hear our opinions on the different weapons we tried out.. Was thoroughly entertained and happy with the emphasis put on safety. Overall great experience.
Liam Straker: Fantastic experience with great instructors
Ryan Matheson: Went shooting, had Luke as an instructor and he was an amazing, made everyone feel comfortable shooting. And was very knowledgeable and a great teacher.

Marissa Elia: I can not say enough good things about this place! I have been here twice for different friends birthdays and we always have the best time!!! Luke was our Instructor and he went above and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing experience here! He made us feel so safe and comfortable! Ladies night is not complete without a trip to BGRA!! I highly recommend!! 10/10

Ace Archers: what do users think?
Kyle C: I visited for a tournament, and everyone -- from the staff to the archers -- were incredibly welcoming. It was an absolute blast shooting here, and I hope to do so again soon!
Prithvi Puppala: It's a great place to let those arrows fly. It's a real stress buster. The staff was very kind and helpful for beginners. Total value for money
A C: Rude! They need to learn manners and patience. Will not be going back.
Tom B: fantastic! really nice place with great people and great place to learn and shoot
Betty Yu: I came here on a Sat with my bf and another couple. The place is kind of hard to find it, its set back. It was around 25 bucks a person and included the rental. There was a staff member that taught us about technique and how to stand throughout the process. It was a good time.
Brady Hammond: Tom and his team provided excellent service and great advice!
Sunminyi He: The instructions was detailed and informative. The facility is very old. The staff were polite but no smile. The first thing we did since came in was to check in and pay, but a staff ran and chased after us to ask whether we have paid, in front everyone, which did not happen to anyone else and was not nice at all.
Todd Evans: This is a family run business with top notch people eager to help you from buying and setting up a bow to shooting and instruction. This is a compleat service archery shop. I live in NY and came here to buy a bow for my wife. We are completely satisfied! They are friendly and very patient and knowledgeable. Pricing is very reasonable.
Elisa Mills: Large selection of equipment in stock. Tom was extremely helpful. It was great to try out everything before buying without feeling rushed. I highly recommend Ace Archers.
Al Aviles: The whole experience was fantastic!Tom was very pleasant and thorough when setting up my bow.He took his time and was very knowledgeable.I'd recommend this place for anything archery.
Gabriel McCormick: Great shop and range. Everyone on staff is very helpful and the equipment fitting was very thorough.
SHIJUN LI: Went to this place with 3 friends, all first-timers.Very nice and informative instructors. The teaching was very detailed and helpful. After the 1-hour session, all of us were happy and eager to try more shooting next time.
Runzhi Wang: For real archery, for those who have never shot an arrow, the staff will provide very specific and effective instructions. You can bring your own device or use a device provided by the merchant.
Mastah Zen: Outstanding recurves.
Rob Dalton: So much fun! Staff was amazing.
Anand Mukherjee: Excellent facilities and super nice instructors, best archery place I have been to
Lisa Silletti: My Girl Scout troop had a great evening working on their Cadette Girl Scout Archery badge with the wonderful staff at Ace Archers. They cannot wait to come back for another time at the range.
claire: Great learning experience with professional and friendly instructors and staff, highly recommended!
M D (G): Great place with friendly and knowledgeable instructors. Good for first timers and experienced individuals.
Ryan Barrett: Discover Archery was such a good time. A great date night activity. Coach Tom was a great teacher, and made the experience awesome. Staff and other folks there made us feel super welcome as beginners. Hoping to come back again soon!
Mitchell Mark: Absolutely terrible customer service.... they care more about having every staff member manning the range than helping first time customers in the retail department . Terrible with kids. My son is 6 and we were there to get him set up for his first bow showing he had an interest for it. Not one staff member wanted to give us attention. The second we picked up a bow off the shelf an associate came over ripped the bow out of my sons hand and said it didn’t have a cam lock on it. Was gone for 5 minutes and cAme back to put the bow back on the shelf with the cam lock on and proceeded to watch the archers along with 5 other associates. This place was horrible! You couldn’t pay me to give them a minute of attention. Never. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

Weirdlooking: The indoor pistol range is nice and there is a additional indoor archery range. There is also an outdoor archery range. There is no outdoor shooting range which understandable given the available land they have to work with in a urban area.
TheRev HD: I shot guns here. That's a bunch of fun.
Mark M: Great little sportsmans club for anyone that was a quiet place to shoot pistols or archery
