I went back to the store and the store managed scheduled the vehicle to be dropped off and fixed without hassle. The whole process went smoothly. Overall, they got the job done but they make a huge mess with foot prints and fine shattered glasses. Below is my original review.-----------------------------------------------DO NOT GO! Terrible work. Scratch my car at multiple places and left scratches on glove compartment and all over the front seats. I tried to file a complaint or report to JN Philips corporate customer service and was told that the store managers handle such things. And of course the store manager did not want to take responsibility for the damages.

R Kim: This is not a review of any particular JN Phillips workshop as I do not know from which location the two nice employees were dispatched to work on my cracked windshield. They did a great job in terms of installing a new one efficiently and cleanly. I would give them 5 stars for that. The problem is the quality of the windshield. It's now difficult to drive in the rain as wipers streak. I didn't have this problem with the original glass. But more importantly I had to replace my credit card due to repeated fraudulent use since I used it to pay JN Phillips. I have no evidence to prove that it's the employees or someone at JN Phillips were responsible but I'll tell you what happened fyi. They said they called in two different offices to arrange credit card payment but due to some system failure neither could accept payment. I offered to call the offices myself later for payment but they said that was not possible. They wrote down my card number, expiry date and code on a piece of paper so that they said they could charge me later when their office could accept payment. This could all be a just pure coincidence I know.

Robert Kim: I went to this repair shop because it is local and had great reviews. I am very satisfied with the service. Very professional. I have 2016 Subaru and had to replace my right front passenger window. It is a dealer glass so they had to order it. It arrived within two days and was installed in an hour. Reasonable price of 330 for glass and 50 for labor. They vacuumed interior and cleaned seats and dashboard. They also provide warranty against defects in material and workmanship. Definitely recommend.

While taking my relative to Dana Farber for chemo (a 4 hour drive one way), my driver side window came off its tracks and would not close. Knowing I had another 4 hour drive home, I visited a number of places in Boston, who all told me they couldn't fix it. After almost 3 extra hours of driving around I decided to try this place. They immediately helped me. After 30 minutes they had fixed the problem... Free of any charge. They turned an awful day into a much more bearable and less stressful one. Thank you for the compassion you showed. I will remember this always.

Dan Oates: Never going to any Safelite again. I scheduled at this place after a previous Safelite told me not to attempt to fix a rock chip, only for it to turn into a 1-foot crack 4 days later. The technician at the Arlington location cracked the touch screen on my Tesla without even noticing. He asked me why the touch screen wasn't working and I SHOWED HIM the crack in the screen! The earliest I could schedule a screen replacement is 8 days from now, so until then, my car is navigating me to random locations, giving me bad verbal instructions I can't mute, and randomly disabling the repeater cameras while I'm trying to change lanes. The music and bluetooth are also totally disabled. Safelite offered to pay for the full replacement, but this is an extreme inconvenience and irritation for operating my car. I'm relieved the car is even driveable after they finished with it. The tech also left dirty finger marks in my interior A pillar for good measure.

Kyla Yuza: My local Safelite ordered the wrong windshield for my car several times. I tried contacting them before an appointment to confirm that the new windshield would be correct, and was ran through an automated menu. The menu asked for language and didn't list English as an option. I had to chat with two associates online to get a more local Safelite line to call. That said, once the correct part was in, the technicians installed it quickly and were nice.

Ed Abrams: My experience with Safelite Auto Glass was very poor. When I dropped off my vehicle for a windshield replacement I noticed that one of the technicians was SMOKING A CIGARETTE as he was replacing another customer's windshield. Cigarette smoking while working on a customer's vehicle is appalling, not to mention illegal in Arlington. The service bay and waiting area reeked of cigarette smoke. I decided that I did not want my car to reek of cigarette smoke after the repair, so I decided to cancel my repair. This is after this location cancelled my appointment last week. Avoid this location!

I brought my car to this site on a Friday afternoon and give them credit for getting my windshield done in a timely manner. This site seems to be understaffed and super busy!! I really have no complaints about the work this site did. They left a small mess on the passenger side of my car but fortuitously while I cleaned up the small mess I noticed they forgot to apply my inspection sticker to the new glass before I drove off. The service person retrieved my sticker and applied it to my new windshield without issue. At my first appointment the replacement windshield received came damaged which the service tech failed to mention until I was there. Today I show up for my new appointment after I confirmed with someone on the phone that they had my replacement and it was ready to go. When I get there the tech is like oh actually we don’t have the right windshield lol whoops it’s for the wrong trim of your car. I’m like how is that possible? He’s like well this is what Geico said you have. I’m 100% certain my insurance would have sent my VIN# which would tell them what trim I have. That’s on you Safelite guy. Firstly, they backend team chased down my insurance company and got the windshield repair covered. This should be straight forward but after hours of back and forth with StateFarm; the best I could do with them was the expectation that I would be reimbursed for the cost. satellite tracked this down and saved me the trouble: $0 deductible. Next, they fixed a broken windshield wiper nozzle. No comments, just fixed it. Finally, our passenger window has had an issue intermittently now going up. This happened during the repair so they put plastic film on it for me. Ok, that’s nice but expected. They also took the door off and diagnosed the problem so I can fix myself. Really positive experience here. Nice to say that about something related to a car.

Read before booking any appointments with Safelite.Technician tore up the interior of my car during windshield replacement. Mistakes always happen and I know so without making any fuss out of it, I simply walked in and reported it to the shop, technician named Rob came out and took photos, compared with his pre-inspection photos and confirmed the damaged weren’t there before and his manager will get back to me in a few days.It has been a month now and no one has ever reached out to me. Tried call the shop multiple times and I was never able to talk to a person. I ended up calling the Safelite customer line and they also cannot get a hold of the manager or the shop, they could only leave a massage.It is unfortunate that I cannot write a positive review but after a month of waiting and experiencing how their system runs, they reserve nothing but a negative review.Google other local auto glass companies near you and you should find other companies with far better reviews from their satisfied customers.Don’t select them just because your auto insurance recommends.If you just need simple windshield replacement hire a reputable local company, and if your car requires special calibrations go to through the dealership.After all, it’s definitely worth spending extra money for your car, and for your time and energy.

Apparently Safelite completely lied to me about what parts they were attempting to use. Claimed that they were attempting to get the exact OEM replacement for my windshield molding when in fact they attempted to get something from a random supplier that would "work", but not the one actually meant for my car. And in addition, SF said the claim they filed (despite not actually doing ANY service) was for a special order windshield. This is also a flat out lie. The only part that needed special ordering was the molding,Long story short to all of the above. Unless you're OK with being blatantly lied to, having abysmal communication, and being given a total work around for nearly 2 months... stay way. Darren at the Brighton Safelite and his colleague runs a tight two-man crew with professional equipment and excellent turnaround. I got scheduled the next day.
