Dragan Lazin: The food is absolutely wonderful. The service is so so. Probably the best vegetable samosa I’ve ever had. The tamarind sauce that comes with the samosas is just awesome. Saag Paneer was absolutely delightful and fragrant. The chicken koorma, creamy and wonderfully savory.The servers were a bit neglectful. Waited a long time after we ate to have someone come by and ask if we’re done. Waited a long time to get change back for the bill. That’s the only reason I’m docking a star.

Rhea Bhandary: Great all you can eat (tiffin) lunch menu that rotates every day of the week. Service could have been a bit better, we weren’t attended to very often despite the restaurant only having a few groups dining at the time. Food was excellent and felt authentic - definitely get the masala chai to end your meal!

Maansi Desai: Awful experience today at Shanti! As an Indian restaurant they ran out of paneer, and replaced it with a completely different item that’s nothing like paneer. They had some paneer left and refused to give in the fixed tiffin menu even though we had already paid for it and it was advertised on their menu as included. If a restaurant does not have something they should be incredibly flexible in replacing it with an equal alternative of the diner’s choice but instead some of the staff was rude and unhelpful, and illogically unbudging. Even with vegetarian dietary restrictions they refused to give the paneer and said we had to order a la carte even though paneer was already on the tiffin menu, showing that they didn’t care about the customer but only about the option that made them a few dollars more. Safe to say will never be returning to this place again. Hope everyone tries Maharaja in Cambridge instead!

Akanksha Khilare: We came here Saturday for lunch (12pm) with a group of 6. They were understaffed so they took time to take our orders and also bring our food. We ordered Malabar prawns, malai kofta and 2 bottomless Tiffin.Bottomless Tiffin has two option veg and non veg. In Bottomless Tiffin there was a dessert and we waiting like 30 mins with used plate on the table. The reason we were given for late food service was they did not have enough dessert spoon.We don’t mind the wait and we understand being understaffed. But the food was not up to the mark.This was not a joyful dining experience. Wish the food was as good as it looks on the instagram reel.

The dishes were well portioned and seasoned, across the appetizers and through the entrees that my group ordered. We enjoyed the samosa chaat especially, which many people may not know about. The other diners enjoyed their chicken korma and everyone was happy with the saag paneer and the malai kofta. Overall, very good dining experience for Punjabi/North-Indian food.

Milan Parikh: Honestly very overpriced for the portion sizes and not as flavorful as I'd expect. The naan was flat and crispy/crumbly rather than fluffy and soft, and the malai kofta portion was just 2 small kofta in a rather mild flavored sauce. There's other options in the area that are quite a bit better.

M Marouan: I love the food, but don’t expect reasonable portions from the vegetarian menu. This is my 3rd time ordering. The containers are filled with nothing but gravy and very few vegetables at the bottom. There were about 3 pieces of potatoes in my aloo mattur and the chickpeas curry was only gravy with a few chickpeas at the bottom.Vegetarian options: Only gravy, hardly any vegetables. Not worth the price.

D. C.: This name of this place is misleading as neither the staff nor the food is actually Punjabi. We ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Kebobs. CTM was watery and bland, and and the Lamb Kebobs were stale and tasteless.The place is disorganized and unappealing now. It used to be amazing, but the management has changed hands and it shows. Will not be returning here.They do provide a decent quantity of food for the money, so it could be good for students.

Jacob Der: PSA: Do not go here, as the security guard may attempt to steal your ID.The security guard confiscated our IDs and refused to give them back for around 30 minutes, during which time she was physically and verbally threatening toward the female members of our group. We ended up having to call the police over to prove our IDs were real and force her to return them. Meanwhile the owner was a bystander who admitted that they don't have an ID scanner and simply smoked a cigarette outside while this all unfolded.That said, even if you get into the bar incident-free, you'll have only gained entrance to a building that smells like a sewer.

S M: First time trying out this spot. The food was not as good as I had hoped for. The sauce tasted good but the chicken was clearly reheated and not cooked fresh, as the flavor was off. The garlic naan was great, though. Had they served me just the sauce and the naan I would have been a happy customer.Unfortunately I will be looking elsewhere for my Indian food fix.
