My dad said the gentleman took precise measurements of every window and even commented that 2 of supposedly the same windows were 1/8 of an inch off. Attention to detail I tell ya!! Then I brought one of the shades back years later that I thought had “died.” The guy was so nice. He didn’t sell me a new shade which he totally could have. He fixed the shade I brought him for FREE!! I’ll never forget that guy. That’s how you run a business!

Demonstrated he has decades of experience in shades... very fun and easy guy to chat with... then Ray and Jorge came out for install 3-4 weeks later... they both took time and care to install You definitely want both those guys doing all your installations. Jorge especially is very meticulous and showed extreme care for the product. Love these motorized shades from Somfy. They look and work great except for the wireless hub for WiFi control. Still cannot get it to work even after on the phone with Somfy Tech Support. But i have no doubt Mohawk will help me out to get it all resolved... I just need some time to get back to it after the holidays...

I was able to promptly schedule a free estimate with Tim who measured our windows and had a wide variety of metal and wood blind samples in different colors. We picked on the spot and Mohawk placed the order for our custom wood blinds the next business day.The blinds arrived sooner than expected within 10 business days and Ray from Mohawk installed them. They are a major game changer for our living room and fit just right. They allow for both privacy or tons of light during the day. Ray noticed a small manufacturer’s blemish on one of our blinds’ parts during installation - He then dealt with the manufacturer, got the part replaced, and came back to install it free of charge.We received a nice handwritten note when it was all said and done. Mohawk’s personal touch and willingness to go above and beyond for the best customer outcome makes them a best in class local window treatment provider.

Paul Weller: I used Mohawk repeatedly in the past with great success on a number of projects, but the business has been sold to a new owner, Tim, who just charged me 200% of what I'd previously paid for the same shades - with a bunch of BS noise about "tariffs" and "special custom order" etc.Unfortunately, I was out of time to research other vendors for that project so, on the basis of my past good history with the previous owner, I paid Tim what he quoted.Two weeks later I checked around and found that the shades should have been priced at or even substantially below the price I had previously paid Mohawk.You decide... is he an opportunistic rip off artist or just a simple capitalist business guy getting whatever he can get...He's certainly lost me as customer and I suggest that you shop carefully and be very afraid.

Florence Harris: Mohawk has been my wife's and my go-to source for excellent infor-mation, advice, products, and service for years. Until last week. At considerable inconvenience to me, nobody showed up for an appointment, reconfirmed in writing, to take a large blind to the shop for repairs. A later phone call promised an on-time early morning arrival this week to pick up the blind. Again, nobody showed up. When I called the office, I was informed that the truck was on its way and would be here shortly. When a pleasant young man arrived an hour later, he told me that he had not been scheduled to be here an hour earlier. He then promptly made the repair on site, demonstrating that there had been no need to take the blind to the shop.Despite this irritating sequence of bumbles, I will continue to use Mohawk and will recommend it to others -- with the caveat that this company evidently cannot be depended on for reliable communication regarding service appointments.
Leah Broder: Avoid this place at all costs. Tim seems like a nice guy but we ended up spending weeks waiting for a repair based on an estimate provided by Mohawk only to be told after waiting for the work to be complete that the manufacturer will not repair the blind because it was too old. Then we decided to order new shades from him and he explained they will not guarantee the color you get will match the samples in the store unless you order a specific dye lot #. OK, we wanted to order a dye lotnumber so he says he will send me a sample withdye lot# which will arrive in 3-5 days. Two weeks later, he had not returned my call, I call again and he says that the manufacturer will not supply samples with fye lot numbers. Seriously, save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Judith Klau: I cannot tell you how grateful I am to John at Mohawk Shade who has twice helped me out of difficulty with grace and expertise. I bought my complicated blind set-up from a purveyor who has since disappeared; when I needed to know how to adjust the blind cords, John stayed in his shop past closing time until I could get there so he could (at no charge) show me. This week, a technician (perhaps John himself?) from Mohawk came from Cambridge to Boston at very short notice to replace the brackets on a shade that had been sucked into a vacuum cleaner by its cords (don't ask); my tenants needed immediate action, and immediate and expert action is what they got. I wish all businesses had such capable, KIND, responsive people at the other end of the phone line.

Jerri B: Beginning with the sales rep who came to our home to the installer, our experience with 3 Day Blinds was excellent. Sales rep spent the time needed to make an appropriate decision and guided us with recommendations that were excellent. We did 11 windows and installation took approx 45 minutes. No pressure, excellent service. 3 Day Blinds certainly isn't the least expensive option, but they make it so easy that it was worth it to spend a bit more. In addition, they provide a lifetime warranty on their products (that are made in the USA!). The only question we were left with was why they call themselves 3 Day Blinds. It definitely took longer than that, but still only about 2-3 weeks, which is likely much faster than other companies. We would highly recommend them!

Mary Elliott: The drapes arrived at the end of the promised time for delivery. They company was very good about holding off the installation due to drywall construction in our home. When they arrived to put up the rod and drapes, there were no rings for the drapes to be hung. The installers were so wonderful to go ahead and put up the rod anyway; and then return to hang the drapes 2 weeks later. They were very apologetic about it and it was not their fault at all. The installers were fast, efficient, and cleaned up after steaming the drapes and setting them for me. These were really long drapes and really turned out quite nice. The material and rod were a bit pricey, but the final product was really beautiful.

Jan Breheny: NOT GOOD!! 3 day blinds should have been called 5 week blinds. And when they came the patio door stacked on the wrong side. So by the time I get by blinds it will be more like 3 months. In addition to that they withdrew the balance out of my account before they were installed. What legitimate company does that? They said I signed off on it but the consultant did and should have pointed that out.

Amanda Hughes: Lynne Greene interiors has decked out our home with both light touch and huge, motorized custom window treatments. We purchased these at least 10 years ago. I don't know when I have ever used a company that stands behind their product so well. They are polite and respectful, never making me feel like a pest when something goes wrong. (Yes, motors and such break down after many years.) Even after all this time, they are still very fair in their repair fees...which were fully covered in the first few years. They are appreciative of their clients, typically have a quick response time, almost always able to answer the phone immediately, and able to address your needs in a timely manner. This is a company you never have to worry about being there when you need them. I don't always get to write a glowing review, but this company certainly has earned one. Thank you, Lynne Greene Interiors.
