Boston Boxing & Fitness: what do users think?
Sidney Diaz-McCree: Best boxing gym in MA HANDS DOWN! If you go anywhere else youre playing yourself...
Henry Ung: Community centered gym with a masshole owner who's actually a soft marshmallow on the inside. Great workouts, great boxers of all levels that take time to learn and grow together. Awesome neighborhood gym
Tess Torregrosa: Signed up for a class through ClassPass at the establishment that was here before Boston Boxing & Fitness and the instructors at BB&F allowed me to take their boxing class! It was 90 minutes of hard work but it was one of the best workouts I've had in a long time. The instructors are kind but no nonsense and will motivate you to keep moving for the workout. I definitely feel like I can accomplish anything after working this hard. Thank you!
Brian McCutcheon: I am a boxing coach, there are no words for the respect I have for Boston Boxing and their crew. Hands on dedicated trainers that teach solid skills. The fight night mixers are the perfect situation for young fighters from all over Massachusetts to prove themselves.
Brandon Egan: This is the first gym I have ever been excited to go to. The classes and instructors are great!
Niall O Grady: A Boxing Gym for Everyone!!!I joined Boston Boxing with zero boxing experience at the ripe age of 33. I decided to go straight into the 14 week fight camp team training programme. “In for a penny….”I was concerned at first that I would stand out like a sore thumb and that I would be thrown in the deep end but that was not the case. Ed and his team of trainers couldn’t have been more helpful. We spent the first week of training in a boot camp building up our fitness levels and physical conditioning. This wouldn’t be for the faint hearted but it was badly needed and paid dividends in the long run. From day one we were schooled excellently, learning the most important footwork and defense movements first. Once we had learned the defensive basics, we progressed to perfecting each type of punching technique. Once we had them down, we began working on combinations. Next, we began drilling offensive and defensive movements with partners. After 8/9 weeks we began light sparring in preparations for our qualifier fights. Fight nights are optional and you will only be allowed in the ring when the trainers know you will not get hurt nor will you hurt someone else. After the qualifiers, we picked up the sparring and started drilling more complicated combinations. I could feel myself developing the boxing flow. By the end of the training camp, we were all in full sparring, sparring up to 5 x 2min rounds each night.I cannot recommend this gym any more to anyone thinking of taking up boxing. Ed and his team are awesome and all the trainings, though hard are f*ck, are great fun.The gym caters for all age groups and fitness/ boxing levels. There are amazing boxfit and boxercise classes daily which will get you fit in no time along with 1 to 1 personal training and boxing classes. After 14 weeks, I had lost 25 pounds, my fitness levels were the best they’d been in 10 years, my confidence was sky high and my boxing skills were better than I could have ever imagined. 🥊I’ll say it again, This is a gym for everyone!
Joseph Bombara: Best boxing gym in Boston, no frills workouts and training. Real boxing is taught here.
MOHAMMED IBRAHIM: I encourage anyone who wants get in shape and become active to join Boston Boxing, coach push you to the limit but guess what you see results within 1st week
Yeuri Jimenez: Love it!
Yemil Serret: Boston Boxing & Fitness is my favorite boxing gym in Boston! From the moment that I walked in, I felt welcomed by the instructor. During the class, the instructor was kind and encouraging to me. I appreciate the fact that this gym has different membership options that are affordable and suitable for my schedule. It's great that there is a one-class pass that is available and didn't only have one option to choose from such as charging me for ten classes. I'm also glad that this gym has opportunities to improve one's boxing outside of class such as open gym and team training for competing. I felt more confident in myself after class and I'm motivated to continue training at Boston Boxing & Fitness!
Luis Navarrete: You can't rate this place high enough. I worked out here for a little over a year. It's home to all kinds of people and it's easy to see why. From the very first day I came in here Ed shook my hand showed me around and then gave me a workout that made me so sore I couldn't come back for a week. After being there for a few months I lost 14 lbs. This gym is special. It treats every individual that walks in there right and gives back to the community as much as it can. I can't recommend this gym enough.
akshay menon: Amazing classes. Ed is great trainer. Best boxing classes
Karan Dhulia: My friends and I tried one class and decided to join right after. Insane workout with technique. Definitely recommended!
Ronin: A great, no-nonsense neighborhood gym. Come here for real training and/or workouts.
Christopher Harrington: A second home. When you join Boston boxing, you are joining a family.
Ethan Andersen: It was awesome. Thank you so much
Sr-keny: Massa
Jon Burton: Great community gym. If you are looking for classes or wanting to do your own thing, they have it all. Instructors will push you, teach you, and encourage you. It's fun to intermix boxing with regular workouts. Worth every penny.
Thomas Duquette: Best boxing gym in Boston, hands down.
Michael Levit: This place is great and the trainers really help you out. The workouts are intense, and I heard the team training is a lot of fun
Kathleen Malloy: Boston Boxing is a great Gym! This is a real boxing gym but I highly recommend thier Saturday morning kids program. Ed LaVache is very knowledgable and a really cool guy. It's serious boxing you can feel comfortable sending your kids.

The Ring Boxing Club: what do users think?
Gerald Rollings: I love the on training
Emilio Cedeño: Definitely my favorite place in Boston. Variety of classes, tough workouts and cool coaches. Ideal place to release all the stress.
Johny Michaud: One of the best gym that I have visited.
Abril Johnson Nieves: Great work out, great trainers
Luke Messecar: I've been going here for the last 7 months. It's a great gym at an affordable price. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and the workouts are intense. They have set times for classes every night. You don't need to sign up in advance - just show up and you're in. Highly recommend this place for those looking to get in shape or just for something a bit more exciting than running on a treadmill.
Brian White: If you've come here to really learn how to box, don't bother with The Ring. However, if you want a solid cardio workout among other likeminded individuals, this is the place for you.Likes:- Good quality equipment- Retired pro boxer to spar with on Saturday- Good free weight areaDislikes:- Overcrowded classes- Focus on cardio over technique. Even in the technique classes, people end up focusing more on cardio since there's only one trainer for 15-20 people.- Expensive- 'Open gym' access with the Unlimited Membership is a joke, classes occur all day and will take over the entire gym.
sean guerin: love training here
Linn Kay: This gym offers great boxing instruction and a wonderful free intro class. There are a lot of conditioning and boxing classes every day that are included in the membership, but the gym doesn't open till noon so if you're looking for morning gym time this is not the spot for you. It's a fun way to switch up your workout. They also have treadmills and bikes and weights if you want to work out more conventionally. It's located right on the B line of the T so that makes it easier to get to.
Russ Levine: Great gym. It's expensive, but it's because there are classes led by a Pro boxer almost every hour of every day. Setbacks include it doesn't open until 12pm (noon). The reviewer who said there is only 1 heavy back reviewed the place back in 2010 (although there were in fact 11). The place has since become 3 times bigger, as they bought out the entire floor and knocked the walls down (it was only 1 room on the floor before). There are about 30 heavy backs, 3 speed bags, 2 rings, machines, jump ropes, medicine balls, and free weights. I recommend The Ring to anyone who wants to learn to box or just wants some good workout classes led by some one who will push you to work harder.
Russell Hunter: This place is the bomb.I don't dread working out anymore. Like they say, this place gives you a REAL workout. No more dogging it on boring cardio machines for this dude. Reallycool scene.
Jonathan White: Best workout in the city. Try the free week and see for yourself what it's like to actually be coached through your workout. BIG difference.
Steeve Beery: This is the BEST GYM I've ever trained in. Having a coach put you through the workout makes all the difference, and unlike almost every other exercise I've tried it's actually fun!

TITLE Boxing Club Boston Assembly Row: what do users think?
Christina Sayles: Great teachers and music. Very motivating and exciting.
Kenneth Reeder: "Their small group classes are a perfect fit for me."
nathanael haynes: The 8:30am schedule is hideous, when all other Title opens at 4am, 5am and 24 hours. This is ridiculous.
Joseph Pagnotta: I have been a member of Title Assembly for 6 years now. The staff they have here and at the North Station Club are top notch, so much so that I have 2 other clubs closer to where I live and work but choose to go to Assembly. The trainers are tough (in a good way), amazing, highly motivational each bringing a different level of experience to every class you take. The classes themselves are challenging (yes, even after 6 years), fun, and a huge confidence builder. Thanks for kicking my A** the last few years! haha
Areeba Zakir: I discovered TITLE through ClassPass last year and it has since then become my primary workout. The coaches and staff are very motivating and approachable. They don't discriminate external vs. their memberships. They each have their own style so you never get bored. The workout itself is high intensity but there are always modifications to be made and you can go at your own pace. This is also by far the largest and well lit boxing gym I have been to with plenty of space to move around your bag. Their member demographics is also one of the most diverse that you will find in the Boston area! When you join TITLE, you join an inclusive, supportive, friendly and FIT community. If you're looking to get a workout in, reduce some stress, all while having fun, definitely give this a try!
Diana Vecchio: This club is awful. I asked about canceling my membership months ago, because my work moved and that location was not convenient for me. Instead of working with me they told me I needed to come into the gym to cancel it.Fast forward 4 months after my card expired 3 months ago and I have two charges for the gym on my new account. So obviously upset I reach out, and they tell me I can mail a letter to cancel. Where was that option back in June, Mr Bishop when i told you it would be hard to get to the gym to cancel?Anyways I just checked my account again and found a 3rd charge to my account. Three charges in two days with no notification, especially after I told you last night and back in June that I would like to cancel?I would have maybe some day again like to think that Title would be a place I would revisit but your customer service and the way you treat your clients is absolutely dreadful.Using words like please and than you in your email doesn't make you professional Mr. Bishop, it makes you a condescending little jerk.Cheers!DianaEdit: ryan you're hilarious. I was swearing at you! I told you in that email that I was very upset and confused as to why my card was charged twice knowing I never provided you updated card information. You're a joke! You lied to me about the cancellation policy telling me I needed to come to the gym when I indeed could have mailed you a letter of intent to cancel. I would have cancelled back in June using that method if it was provided as an option to me but it wasnt because you're shad and Please don't tell me I should have referred to a contract I was never sent or given. Since we last spoke, october 13th, and you provided me my contract I have sent you a certified letter of intent to cancel my membership. Again.. thank you for making thos process so unbearable that I had to leave a bad Google review, when in fact I have only used this platform for nothing but positive reviews!
April Geyer: I can't say enough good things! Awesome, motivating trainers who care about your progress, super friendly staff who create a wonderful team culture, and very clean gym. 10/10 would recommend!
Dani Freire: I joined this club a little over a year ago and I absolutely love it! I had never been to a boxing class before and I’m so glad I found this community. All the trainers motivate and push you during classes to get the best out of every session. Strongly recommend coming and trying it out, it’s not only a great workout, you have fun and release some stress at the same time 🥊🥊
Taylor Wilson: I struggled with staying active through the pandemic and had very little motivation to workout. I joined title in January 2022 and I am so glad I did. The classes are so fun and each trainer puts their own spin on the class to keep it different and interesting. I have enjoyed class with every trainer, they are all so friendly and motivating pushing you through class to work hard and the members are extremely friendly and supportive and are always helping me to push my training. By far the hardest and funnest workout out there!
AJ Andreucci: Been going here since 2020 and love it! Great trainers and great community. Very welcoming and easy to get in the rhythm of the workouts!
Nkem Aduka: I started boxing a few months ago just to try a new form of exercise and I'm glad I did. All the coaches/trainers push you and motivate you in all classes. It is a high impact exercise, so you do need to make sure you have proper form when boxing. If you want to try something new, I recommend coming here. Trial classes are free!
claudia M.: This club is amazing!! Every class is a pure joy! Instructors are super nice, always available and very professional! I strongly recommend to join this amazing community! Workouts are always different so is always a new joyful experience!! Location is also very good!
Hayley D: Trainers and staff are super helpful and friendly. Always a great workout! Been a member for almost a year now and I highly recommend!
soufiane lamsyah (ikerlams): Went there to try it and I ended up working out for 7 months now. It's an amazing place to burn calories and have fun. Tried many gyms but this one is really great if you want to work on your mental health/body shape .
Amanda Furbert: I'm on month 4 of my membership with the club and loving it! The classes are great and the trainers are awesome. Its a great way to meet new people and make friends while getting a bomb workout in!
Clementine: I love the vibes at title - all the staff and trainers are very personable and friendly! Their classes are really great at an affordable price. You definitely get an insane sweat in. I absolutely recommend this place to everyone!
Chris Fitzgerald: I was visiting from the UK and dropped by to see if I could join a class. John was awesome, had no problem getting me in, and then gave a pounding class! He even spent some time talking through technique after. I'd join this club if I lived here!
Brianna Ruiz: I always get a great workout at title. I just wish they would switch up the routine a little. It’s always you’re typical warm up, a few rounds and then abs. It’s quite repetitive, and gets a bit boring after a while. I know it’s hard to add weights to larger classes but that would be a great addition to any class. I give 5 stars because it’s a great workout regardless, and the staff are great!
Cory Atwood: I love this place! I had wanted to try boxing workouts for a while, but I was intimidated. I finally checked it out last fall and I've been going ever since! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly - great instructors! Super fun and engaging workouts that absolutely fly by.
Diana Stiles: My favorite gym and workout by far! The staff is freaking wonderful. They make sure you’re comfortable and allow you to feel great going at your own pace. They push you to do your best without intimidating you. Val’s classes are as my favorite. I walk out of the gym feeling like a new person every single time, ready to take on the day and whatever comes next. Whether you’re a beginner or have been boxing for years, I highly recommend!
Morgan Clark: Good trainers and high energy classes. Always leave feeling better! Nice quick effective workouts especially before 12 hour shifts

Alton Street Boxing & Fitness: what do users think?
Sam Spencer: I've been taking boxing classes here for a few months and love it. The staff and other students are very welcoming and down-to-earth. The workouts are unlike anything I've done before and leave me feeling so happily exhausted. Heartily recommend!
Polly Ford: I can't say enough about this gym - the teachers are talented and the community is welcoming. My daughter and I have gained so much - fitness and well being - by joining this gym!
Elias Magalhaes: Best place that helps me everyday to achieve another level in boxing!
Diana Brainard: My 13-year old daughter has been attending classes at Alton Street Boxing & Fitness for almost one year. She has gained an impressive level of skill as well as fitness attending 1-2 classes per week. More importantly, she absolutely loves it. Charles and the other instructors have a great tone with kids, treating them with respect and setting high expectations with positive reinforcement. It is a clean and neat studio and the on-line sign up process for classes couldn't be easier. My only reason not to give 5 stars would be to keep this gem less well known!
Michelle Callahan: I took boxing classes for almost a year and will be returning post injury (unrelated!). Was in friendly competent hands with Todd and Charles. The facility was clean and had a lot of different options for things to do and classes to take. Can't wait to go back, I made a lot of friends and had a lot of fun.
Rohini Narayanaswamy: This place is a gem. My husband and I enjoy and look forward to working out here. Charles is one of the best instructors and takes the time to teach every technique till we get it right. We have attended both USA boxing and Muay Thai with him and they have been really great learning experiences. We also love the Cardio Bags class which is more intense but very fulfilling. There is also an energy movements class which is very relaxing at the end of the week.We had tried kickboxing at a different studio and it felt like we were being rushed into the moves with no focus on technique..and we thought this is not for us.Alton St. Boxing however changed our minds and I'm very glad we found this place! It is clean, not crowded and the instructors genuinely pay attention to each student!
Jorge Armando Tinajero Nuñez: Hola alguien habla español? Me interesa el gimnasio soy nuevo en el área y me me interesa.
Jamie Brause: I train boxing here with the excellent instructor Todd- an extremely clean, well-outfitted facility with a passionate staff and reasonable prices. It's very easy to communicate with them via phone or email- which is something you don't take for granted after struggling to do so at a lot of different gyms! Highly recommended.
Mike Weitz: Excellent facility
Sarah Cote: Alton Bay Boxing and Fitness empowers me mentally and physically through Boxing class each Wednesday evening. Both instructor Charles and Todd have guided me through boxing to grow physically and mentally self- aware and stronger. Both encourage and provide individual and group advancement, in an atmosphere In which we all encourage each other in precision, respect and discipline through the education and art of Boxing.I also very much appreciate and rely on Instructor Charles’s Energy Healing session, and find it a most valuable piece to my health. It provides mental clarity, and leaves me relaxed, clear, calm and energized.
Mary Ann Hunt: I'm so glad I stumbled into this place. Was welcomed instantly and saw that it was a great environment/community. Charles is great at working with any skill level, so if you are curious, looking for a great workout (and stress release), never having boxed before should not stop you. If you have, Charles and Todd still have so much to offer and you can count on being encouraged to push yourself harder. I'm probably addicted to it ....
Ryan M Fullam: I have been working out at Alton St for just over a year now and my experience has been nothing but positive. Great instructors, all the equipment you can need and participants willing to help each other. Highly recommended!
Tony De Luz: I've known Charles for 44 years. He's a man of great integrity and honesty. He's got a great martial arts/boxing/fitness facility, conveniently located in Arlington Center; the students are nice and respectful and the school is very clean. The students not only learn about martial arts, but they also learn about the virtues of community service, fair play and doing the right thing. I was involved in martial arts for a number of years and I love the positive attitude Charles brings to work. I recommend Alton Street Boxing & Fitness highly.
Diego Calderon: I love working out here! Charles is amazing, and he is extremely knowledgeable and polite. He knows how to push you and is able to get the best workout out of you regardless of your boxing level. The overall feel is very private and you'll never feel like you're just another check number. Charles is very good at getting to know you on a personal level, and makes you feel comfortable with your abilities. If you're looking for a great place to work out and hit the bags this is the place for you!I highly recommend Alton Street Boxing & Fitness.Diego A.
NEMS New England Mosaic Society: I wanted to get a fun gift for my niece and nephews, something they could all do together. I thought they would enjoy kick boxing - I contacted Charles and he set up a group class just for them with Donna. The group of 9 had a blast and we enjoyed watching the video on Facebook. Thanks Charles for organizing for us!
John Gearin: Great studio and instruction at Alton Street Boxing and Fitness. I have been training for about 2 months, and I see the benefits and progress. I have suggested it to friends, and will continue to do so.
Nancy Gray: I have the joy of serious exercise with stretch and strengthening and the banter is light-hearted. Nancy
Anne Moore: I've been taking boxing classes here with Shane for about six months, and I love it! The class is challenging but supportive, and a fantastic workout.

Nonantum Boxing Club: what do users think?
Connie T: I love this gym, the instructors, the community, and the other gym members. The heavy bag workouts are seriously challenging but all levels, ages and abilities are welcomed.
joey bidner: Best OG boxing gym in Boston. Massive space, the photos don't do it justice. Classes are amazing and a great inclusive vibe.
Michael Stewart: Amazing instructor!!!!
Gleb Levchenko: Great gym and staff! If you are looking for a great work out join and don't think twise.
David Gasparean: Мой сын занимался здесь и по мне очень даже хорошо это отличная школа
dannna Garcia: The best place to learn boxing!! I completely recommend.
Rafael Rivera: This place gave me a new life. I'm so grateful for NBC
Estevan Hincapie: Awesome training love the circuits
Daniel Alyokhin: Best Boxing gym that I've ever been too. Wish i could still go there everyday like I used to. The community feels like one big family. Everyone is friendly and happy to train with you. Amzing coaches, real boxing meant to teach you how to box rather than just a weight loss gym like most. Going to this gym changed my life
Fedor Maksimov: Very good club! I am happy that I can training boxing here. I appreciate for time which I had. Especially I want to say great thanks to Marc. He is big professional and attentive instructor.I recommend this club for 100%
Carla B.: place is the best. love their adult group classes and the 1 on 1 with one of the trainers really gives you a solid introduction to boxing
David E.: I've been a member of this club since 2015. Great learning environment and family atmosphere. These guys will make you feel at home no matter your skill/experience level. You have to come to class and demonstrate how hungry you are to learn the sport. You're not entitled to anything because you paid a fee and showed up for class mate.
Danny C: Went in for a trial class great workout poor instruction...instructor was on cell phone majority of class not correcting any technique would like feedback if I'm at a gym and I'm not doing anything correctly
Noa Rose: My mom goes here and is scared of the 7;00 class which kills you apparently.
Dena Lawton: I went to Nonantum Boxing Club because I was tired of my same old workout routine. I was dragging my feet to the gym! When I went to check out the club... I loved the old school look ! I started with 1x a week which quickly turned into 2x then 3x and now 5/6x a week! The classes are such a good workout. I lost weight and looked forward to working out for the first time in my life. I made friends quickly and love it there! The trainers there are friendly , knowledgeable and experienced ! Highly recommend Nbc
Brian Bannon: NBC is the best boxing gym around. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced boxer, the trainers at this gym make you feel at home.
Jason Riffe: Greatest gym in the world! It has become a staple in the Nonantum section of Newton, and represents all the rich history of the neighborhood. On Wednesday nights you can find one of the best boxing teams in New England working together and earning their time to train with the best coaches around. If you are looking to get into the best shape of your life, try out a one hour fitness class for free! Show up early so a trainer can get you wrapped and gloved up before class starts.
John Sementelli: What an incredible place!!!! Authentic, old school boxing gym with a warm, welcoming family atmosphere. This gym is my second home and for many reasons. The large, two story gym has plenty of equipment not only for boxing but for sports conditioning as well, including two rings, heavy bags, double-end bags, speed bags, jump ropes, med balls, bosu balls, balance training, free weights, kettle bells, weighted vests, sleds, tires, battling ropes and more. But it's not the equipment, or the classic Rocky feel that draws me here day after day, it is the people. I highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a killer workout, with over 20 high intensity classes a week to choose from, and who is also looking for a second family where everyone from all walks of life are accepted. Although the gym may look intimidating at first, and it does train many talented, competitive boxers, 90% of the members are here to just get a great sweat and learn some boxing skills. Check it out, you won't be disappointed....well, unless you don't like burpees!
Shane Begin: Truly the best boxing gym in the Boston area. Staff is very friendly, knowledgable and helpful. Doesn't matter whether you're a beginner, or have some boxing experience, this is the gym for you. It is a family run gym, and from the second you walk in there for the first time, you feel as if you belong and are part of the family. It takes courage to walk into a boxing gym for the first time, but the guys down at NBC will get you up to speed and make you feel at home while kicking your behind with a killer workout that you cannot get anywhere else!
Joe Penta: I've been working out at nonantum for a number of years and it never gets old. Marc, Nate, and Eric are the owners and are genuine guys who are always there to reach there hands out to help the next person coming in. Whether your coming in to just try out a conditioning class or want you want to take it seriously this is the place to go. I new nothing about boxing when I first came in. Marc took me under his wing and showed me how to box and molded me into a competitive boxer. I can't say enough good things about these guys and everytime I go I get the feeling I'm apart of the nonantum family.
Paige Mroz: My friend introduced me to NBC and from the second I walked in the door, everyone could not have been more friendly and welcoming. I have tried a handful of their classes early in the morning and afternoon, and I've left each class feeling like I got a complete body workout in addition to learning about boxing. I love how they have a 5:30am option or 6pm after work. They are also extremely accommodating to new people by providing extra boxing gloves that you can use if you are new to NBC. I couldn't be happier with my membership and I look forward to doing a 1 on 1 training session next week!!
